To whom it may concern, We checked out yesterday from the riad and we were more than sad that we had to leave...Amine and Hamza were one of the most welcoming and helping people we have met! They recommended us not only places to eat but also attractions such as the half-day safari in Agafay desert and a hammam experience. We didn't have to think about anything because they had already though about it! From the welcome tea to amenities, the breakfast (we were two adults and were never able to finish it, imagine how big and filling it was) and their attitude. Even if there was something wrong, they were there to help us out. We felt as if we were at home! Please, do book your stay there! :)

I liked the authenticity of the property it provided a real experience of Marrakech. Staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. They couldn’t do enough to make your stay pleasant.
Cons: The property description and advert didn’t match the reality. The photos and rating on the site rated this wrongly at 4. You will have to walk to the Riad , as the taxi wont take you directly to it, which will require you to access google maps in an area with poor mobile phone reception.

Location. Helpful staff. Clean bedlinen. Both Amin and Hamza made our stay in riad easy, with friendly service and assistance in booking trips, taxis, general advice. They are real assets of this place. Roof terrace, ideal for escaping noise and endless energy of the city, especially enjoyable in the evenings.
Cons: Riad Safran et Cannelle & Spa is not actually a Spa. The name is actually misleading. There is a little water pool next to the reception, but it’s more ornamental rather than place for relaxation. I wouldn’t use it myself and haven’t seen anyone doing it while we were in Riad for full 10 days. For real spa (hammam, massage, etc) you have to go to one of the many places in the city. Riad itself is pleasant, but in need of some of updating. It feels the the owner stopped investing in the property some time ago. Bathrooms need refreshing and repairs (plus simple improvements like adding towel rails/hooks). Drainage in our bathroom was half blocked and the plug in the shower basin was broken. Rugs in our bedroom were tatty and dirty. Rooftop could improve as well, with more sun screening, plants and general tidying up, getting rid of unexpected half steps on the floor, which can cost you an accident.

The hosts were so welcoming that I instantly felt cared about . The staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful . They each went above and beyond expectations . Their kindness and good cheer were contagious and made being there a most wonderful experience . I will the good talks that we shared and the way in which they all made me feel right at home . And when I had to leave for the airport they realized that I had left a small pouch in my room and they called my driver telling to wait and then rushed on a bicycle to get it to me ! The breakfasts were superb . Ten star service ! - Barbara Chapman

Very beautifully designed riad in the heart of medina. Very attentive and helpful staff - they were always ready to help and make our stay nicer. The room was clean and nice. The road offers also spa. Recommended!

Management was always on the premises to let us into the building no matter what time. The Riad was very quiet even though it was very near the main square. The breakfast was slightly different every day and excellent. It was served on the rooftop. The rooms have air conditioning and fresh towels every day. Lastly, the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and kind.
Cons: The double bed was a little small, and some of the pillows were very lumpy. The accommodation is very basic. The bathroom had no soap!

The Riad was gorgeous! Beautiful grounds, pool, roof top terrace, and little nooks to spend time relaxing in. The breakfast was wonderful, and the room was gorgeous, spacious, and had an amazing tub 😍 The staff (Muhammed and Hasan) were both very kind of helpful and made my stay very comfortable. The Riad is in a quiet place close enough to the Medina, but away from all the business and noise. Was peaceful quiet and a wonderful escape. They also offer spa and hammam packages, I highly suggest it was AMAZING 👏 Thank you for two amazing nights in Marrakesh- hope to see you in June!

I had an amazing one-night stay at this beautiful Riad in the heart of the old town of Marrakech. The riad itself is a true oasis, with its stunning architecture, calm atmosphere, and exceptional service. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The location was perfect, right in the middle of the vibrant souks but still quiet enough to relax. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Marrakech. It truly offers an authentic Moroccan experience!

Riad is a beautiful old building
Cons: We had to pay extra „tax” (10 eur per person in cash), even though we had already payed a city tax through booking. It was communicated when we were leaving to the airport in the hurry. I find it very dishonest. The room was very basic, so was the service. Not worth 4 stars.

- The staff were wonderful, looking after any request and pre-empting many. They organised trips for us, liaised with drivers and made sure we were taken to and from taxis, regardless of the time, as the Riad was only accessible on foot. The location was brilliant - walkable to most places and close to the Medina. Breakfast was excellent and served at an outside table, on the rooftop terrace or in one's room.
Cons: The layout of the Riad was fun, with a variety of rooms, but the stairs were difficult for two 70+ women. However, we did not want a luxury hotel, rather a taste of Marrakech.

Mohammed was very welcoming and made everything to make the visit comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and nice. Always someone in the Riyad to help the guests. Great location. Central but still quite neighborhood. It was a nice view to eat breakfast on the roof.
Cons: It was a bit cold in the room during the night since the heated air from the heater mostly stayed close to the ceiling. The heater must have been a bit too small compared to the room size maybe. The bed was quite hard, but that is always individual experience and preference. It was a bit chilly to eat breakfast outside in the winger period.

Stunning property that’s kept an its true beauty and original traditional features throughout the whole property. Great space, breathtaking views from the rooftop, pictures do no justice to its beauty in original. But the best part without any doubt are the staff!! Massive shout out to Mohamed which I have to admire, he’s one of a kind! Perfect example of professionalism and integrity, with a nuance of amazing personality and sensitivity. Well done for bringing such value to the Riad!!! Breakfast served outside the rooms door, fresh air and blissfulness. The market is couple of corners away, no more than 2 minutes tops walking. No noise however from the market through the night, it’s tucked away gracefully. Anything you need they can provide, just ask for it. Take excursions with them also, don’t struggle to find your own, they have the best connections with quality experiences, no hassle. Just be prepared to have cash! And always with row from the Marrakesch bank, it’s the best rate. The doorbell is placed above the door, they’ll answer anytime of day or night no bother! Bottled water provided, little liquid soap and hand moisturiser. Overall a great experience for sure. The other two gentlemen at the reception desk were fabulous as well, the second day one helped me to book my ballon experience, the last day I was helped to make my flight in time, and he walked me to my taxi transfer. He was ever so polite and lovely.
Cons: Room is tired, needs a desperate freshen up. A duvet is a must, the blanket should be additional as spare in the cupboard. It looks like it’s seen better days and I’m absolutely convinced it isn’t washed after each guest, while bedsheets are pristine. The soap dishes have to be topped up when expecting a new guest, and please look into unclogging the shower drain. And the most important part, breakfast, please rethink that a little. It’s poor and forgettable. Extremely disappointing!! Ditch the pre packed yogurts and cheese little portioned. Keep it up with the grandeur of the Riad! Should be French press perculated coffee, please dispose of the depressed 1 start coffee pots and milk pots you currently use. The choice is poor also, I’m sorry to say that but it’s absolutely true. I’ve given 5 stars only because this is constructive criticism, it doesn’t mean I’ve not enjoyed it.

Great location. Friendly staff, especially Hansal, he was really helpful.Good breakfast on rooftop with crepes, bread, and coffee. Cleaning from the ladies was excellent. Very short walk to square yet very quiet location in Riad.
Cons: We were under the impression that Spa was in the household so felf a little misleading as we had to walk good 5 mins to different building for treatments. We were not given a deluxe room on arrival, which we previously paid for, but they moved us to the Delux room on 2nd day. We could hear all talking from reception atea during night.

The Riad is really fantastic to spend your days in Marrakech because it's close to the main square. The breakfast is amazing. You can enjoy the views from the terrace with a proper Moroccan breakfast. But if I have to remark something is the staff that works in the Riad, in special Hamza. He helps us in everything that he could. He is very friendly and hard-working. For sure, if I travel to Marrakech again, I will come to the same accommodation.

The Riad has a good location and the architecture is beautiful.
Cons: The Riad has seen better days, some parts are in need of maintenance. We booked a superior room with a big round bath (as portrayed in the images) and when we got there they tried to put us in a small room with only a shower and said this is the room we booked. This is not acceptable for €150 a night. I called the manager and he put us in a different room with a large shower (still no bath) and a light funky sewage smell. The price/quality ratio is quite disappointing, for €150 a night I would expect more.

Beautiful riad. Mohamed, the riad owner, is an amazing host. We booked this riad as a birthday present for our son. Mohamed made sure that our son got a beautiful superior room and a birthday cake. Such a kind, thoughtful gesture! We will definitely be booking our next holiday here again

Great location, friendly staff, nice terrace
Cons: The property did not meet the description on the Booking.com website. There is no bar, no restaurant and no spa. I was upgraded to a Deluxe room but when I arrived, they didn't understand what this meant

Great location. Perfect for exploring Marrakech. The terrace is a lovely place to relax and have a mint tea. The staff are so helpful and kind, especially Ibra who was very good at explaining where everything was. As it was my first time to Marrakech.
Cons: It’s not quite as described. The pictures are not how it looks. It is need of refurbishment. And the ‘pool’ is not a pool at all and no spa at the Riad.

I stayed at the Riad for a week with my sister. The staffs were excellent. They were very helpful with our various requests i.e. assistance with additonal guest at last minute, airport transfer booking at the best price (they even accompanied us from the taxi drop-off point to the Riad, vice versa), early breakfast, laundry and travel tips.
Cons: It would be better if the guests could access the Riad’s main entrance door using access card. When we were there, we had to ring the bell and wait until the Riad staffs opened the main door to enter the Riad, this was a little bit inconvenient.

A lovely, nicely kept and cozy riad located very close to the well-known Corne de Gazelle pátisserie. If you ever get lost in the labyrinthine Medina this is one way to make sure you are close by. Friendly and helpful staff, decent fresh breakfast and bedroom. Walking distance from Jemaa el-Fnaa square and other local landmarks. Highly recommended primarily due to location and traditional riad experience. There may be cheaper or pricier riads around but this one met most of our expectations. If you don't mind paying extra to book a taxi from the airport through them to the nearest drop-off close by, it is worth it as one of the staff can meet you and show how to get around and into the riad your first time there.
Cons: The riad is relatively compact and not superbly clean so it may not be to everyone's taste, but it is well-kept and tidy enough to rest and relax even in the peak of hot weather. The small patio pool's stagnant water is not very inviting but it's usable. We were asked to leave the room on the morning of our check-out date after breakfast despite remarking several times that we would be leaving at the latest time possible described while booking our stay. But hosts were helpful in storing our luggage to make up for this.

Very nice location! In a heart of Medina. Short distance to Best restaurants in Marrakech. But the main advantage of the hotel is it's stuff. Especially Yusuf. He was so nice to us and so helpful I can't describe. Yusuf explained us all the best options about restaurants and tours. He brought us tea and prepared there best places to seat on the rooftop and watch for sunset. His Hospitality was amazing. Probably because he is from nomad family. If we will come back to Marrakesh again it will be because of that guy.

The entire staff around Mohammed , Abdelhi and Amin were absolutely amazing , and wonderful hosts . The atmosphere in the Riad was really nice . Also it’s super close to the center of the Medina but also super quite . Breakfast was great too. And on top of all , at the end of our stay the owner of the hostel insisted on driving us to the airport , which was a beautiful way to end our holiday !

The Riad offers a great rooftop with views over the city and several other cozy lounge areas around the Riad. The staff was super nice, welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was delicious!
Cons: We didn’t have wifi in the room and the room itself was quite small. There was no door to the bathroom. In general we had a great stay, but the value for money was a bit better in other Riads when comparing.

Cons: nothing major , it is a cozy place . you feel like you are at home . it’s not like super hotels , it just makes you feel at home which is the purpose.

The staff and owner were very nice and the location was good. The staff was also very helpful.
Cons: The photos don't match some of the areas. Overall, it's hugely overpriced for what you get. Compared to all the other Riads we stayed at over the last 3 weeks. This was, unfortunately the worst. The room was small, walls were dirty and the breakfast was so underwhelming that we skipped it the 2nd morning.

We loved this place from the moment we arrived and were welcomed by the beautiful smell of cinnamon and orange essential oils! It’s difficult not to notice the attention to details of the decorators. Simo and the team were always very friendly and ready to help us with advices, recommend nice places and organize an unforgettable dinner in the inner courtyard of the Riad with live Berber music. Just as a heads up, as a general rule when staying in a Riad, having the room on the ground floor means you’re ready to hear everything happening in the inner courtyard /reception etc. 😃.
Cons: Room on the ground floor quite small, noisy and it requires some renovations.

We loved the family atmosphere of the riad; the extreme friendliness and kindness of the owner and staff; the central location; the breakfasts - everything.
Cons: We had to wait two nights for the deluxe room we'd booked; initially our one bed room was too cramped. The super friendly, lovely staff compensated with a free meal on the roof terrace and were very apologetic. They are so lovely we'd forgive them anything!

The staff was amazing and very helpful. The breakfast was great and they had different options every morning. The Riad met our expectations, was very unique and clean. The location was safe and after a few tries easy to find. I would definitely recommend it and would go back myself.
Cons: If you go out and com back after 1 am you have top wake up staff to be let in, there is no additional code or key for you to get in back to the Riad.

Employees were great... Yassine was very knowledgeable and AbdelHak gave us a great guitar serenade on the roof. We only stayed for one night but everything was great. Would recommend for an even longer stay.
Cons: For an inexperienced traveler the location could be a bit hard to find. This was the only downside. The inner medina of Marrakech can be intimidating especially for solo female travelers who are not used to street harrassment.

Only 9 rooms. Great location in the Medina. wonderful staff (yes you Yassine!) Advice on how to handle Marrakech was delivered, great arrangements of excursion to the desert. And topped off the visit with the opportunity to have lunch with the riad staff on my last day. And I have to say unreservedly it was the best meal I had in Morocco.
