The location is great - close to the central market and to the road at the same time, so it is not a long walk if you have luggage. Possible to leave luggage if you have a late flight/departure.

Cons: The owner should clearly state in the description that they do not tolerate any alcohol in the riad, even if you want to drink a glass of wine inside your room. After spending a week in Morocco it was the first time when we encountered this attitude. I know, this is islamic country, and they can make their own rules - but alcohol is sold in markets and not forbidden. Other Riads had no problem with drinking wine even during dinner in their public space. Among other annoying things - the spring bed was very uncomfortable, no soundproofing - the noise in the riad is heard twice as loud due to a "well" structure, the light in the room is very dim. Most of the rooms have bunk-beds, even a tent on the rooftop, so I guess it might be crowded during high season.

A wc-n nincs ajtó .

I like the colourful tiles and the staff attitude.

Cons: I didn't like the fact that a tiny room had six beds. I mean you could barely move. The mattress was so old metal springs were dangerously out. Also, the electricity sockets were not working so I couldn't charge my phone.

The host in Jennah Rouge seems nice and friendly but absolutely opposite in Riad Dia.

Cons: ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. They asked me to transfer to another hostel which called Riad Dia due to rain leakage in the room, by saying thay it is the same company. However, they put me into cheaper room with more people in comparison with my original booking. When I asked for the price difference, all of sudden the host could not understand us/English, and just kept saying that "it is the same company". It was getting even worse, the host came into the room in the middle of the night to talk with someone and woke up everyone in the room. Could you just awake that person up and talk outside? There was a german couple who slept together on tiny upper bed and they made some different sounds all night, waking up everyone in the room. In the end, the host asked us to pay 50 MAD per each suitcase to leave a luggage for a while, when Jennah Rouge host assured that it is for free. The toilet is extremely dirty, and there are no any light coming inside the premise which quite depressing.

Honestly, not a lot .. it was beautiful from the ground floor looking up .

Cons: We slept in the only tent on the roof, we both thought we had booked a tent each , the booking was misleading. The tent in December is not highly recommended, the sides didn't even meet , zero security, however I stayed one night only and it was ok ... The ' beds' were very hard ... But with 2 doubled over blankets each it was kinda doable...but the pillows were like sand bags and it was pretty noisy, from the city below. Every little noise carries so we learnt. As the housekeeper came to tell us to stop talking... And we were only talking quietly... The toilet was 4 or 5 flights down with no working lights... You have to be very able bodied! The single ground floor toilet was basic ... And in the reception area 😞 The lockers were 2 floors down 👎 The shower was 2 floors down , a single cubicle with a door, leading directly onto the landing, nowhere private to get dressed, so didn't bother... Also it was located in a warren of tiny alleyways , no vehicular access, can get ran into by a motor bike at any second... The tent sleeps 3/4 ... So you could unknowingly be in with strangers, when you're led to believe you've booked a private tent. Very overpriced really.

I had an amazing experience at Riad Jennah Rouge. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Marrakech and within walking distance of all the main attractions, including the Medina, souks, and Jemaa el-Fnaa. The riad itself is very clean and well-maintained. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you need. The breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, with great variety. One of my favourite parts of the riad was the beautiful rooftop terrace, which is a lovely place to relax after exploring the city. Overall, a fantastic stay. I highly recommend Riad Jennah Rouge to anyone visiting Marrakech!

Cons: The way to the Riad is like a maze, but it's safe and fine.

I was about to reach one hour after midnight. The person on duty was very courteous and helped me check in quickly. I think you should spend a little extra and go for the room/ bed option instead of shared dorm/ bunk bed. It's located inside the narrow alley and you have to walk on foot for 200 meters after the main road. Breakfast was the highlight for me. Variety and portions were generous.

Cons: I was given upper portion of the bunk bed whereas the lower portion was empty. There was no soap in the washroom

No volvería.

The staff was very nice and helpfull at all times. The breakfast was also very good. The room was good for the price. The air conditioning works like a charm. The room was all clean.

Cons: The prices of the trips to Agafay Desert should be changed. Its was a little too expensive in comparison to other ways of booking. But the service was still excelent and the trip was great. All the guides and driver involved were great.

Location. For easy pick up and drop for a tour. Beds. Rooftop. WiFi. Dorm beds were fine as was the private room. Ac was good when you could find the remote.

Cons: Unfortunately was very quiet possibly due to when I had bookings. Shower temperature was unreliable as was sinks. I had read reviews about the staff asking for giving glowing reviews and had that happen on two occasions. They were eager for them but never a fan of it being asked. A place with really good reviews should either never have to ask or always be full. They didn’t seem to understand if payment was made or what site it was booked on. For the private room I had to ask for the key and lock. The hostel is tucked in a corner through a dark alleyway with some odd individuals lurking around. If I were a solo female traveler it could potentially cause unease but not sure they would be bothered.

Riad Jennah Rouge was honestly one of my favorite places I’ve stayed. The location is perfect: right in the heart of the Medina, just a short wander from the souks and the main square, but still peaceful enough to chill out. The riad itself is full of color and charm, with cozy corners and a rooftop that’s perfect for lazy mornings or late-night chats. But what really makes this place special is the staff (Yassin, Hamza and Azzedin): they’re insanely friendly, always up for a laugh, and make you feel like you’re part of the family. I met so many lovely fellow travelers here, and the vibe was super welcoming and social without ever feeling like a party hostel. If you’re coming to Marrakech, this place is a total win.

Everything. This is a beautiful riad hidden away from the bustle of the city whilst being within touching distance. As amazing as the property itself is, the best thing was the hospitality. As soon as I arrived I was welcomed by Hamza and offered complimentary tea, it felt truly as if he was welcoming me into his home. The room was lovely, comfortable bed and very good value for money with lockers and towels (which aren’t always offered). The breakfast is also fantastic, a great spread made fresh for you with a coffee or a tea! I would stay here again if I visit Marrakesh!

Cons: Nothing. It was perfect for my stay.

This is a beautiful riad - lots of artistic touches and a wonderful rooftop area, the location is ideal (a great base to explore Marrakech from and also a lovely quiet spot to escape from the heat and the noise), and then the staff really make it perfect - they are friendly, kind and helpful and great people to chat with. I'll definitely be coming back here next time I'm in Marrakech!

The position is perfect, in the Medina (10 min to the main square) but in a side street so that is pretty quiet. The structure is small but very well decorated in the classical moroccan style. The staff is great: kind and helpful guys and very funny I stayed in the tent on the roof and was a good experience, the roof terrace is small but great, was amazing having breakfast there and the breakfast itself was good (in quality and quantity). Cleanliness was not the top but ok and the bathrooms where pretty good but just inside the rooms at second floor and this was a little uncomfortable. Price is really cheap and I think that is very good value for money: if you don't mind to have some little discomfort this is a very great place, definitely recommended!

Brilliant hostel, couldn’t have asked for more. Fabulous interior decor in a traditional Riad with a crypt pouring in peach light from a rooftop with views of the city. Room service, and a hearty breakfast each morning was included at no extra cost, the staff were delightful, and really helpful.

Cons: Not really a fault of the owners, just bear in mind to research directions before you arrive, local men will play kind and guide you to the door if you are visibly lost then demand money and threaten you if you refuse. This is a common scam in Morocco so it's not the fault of the owner just something to bear in mind. But once you know your way it's a delight to wind through the narrow, ancient streets to the hostel each day.

This was one of the most beautiful riads I have seen. Even in a 6-bed hostel room the ceiling was richly decorated with wonderful ornaments. There is a lovely small roof terrace with the view to the roofs and terraces of the city, some mosques and palmtrees. The communication with the staff was pleasant and helpful, I heard many interesting facts about local life. Breakfast was sufficient. I must extra mention my bed which was extremely comfortable. Cons: The staff were very friendly, but they didn't honour my Booking.com booking. Instead we were sent to a different hostel, Riad Dia Marrakech, where they attempted to charge us more than the original amount. It was about 9.30pm when we arrived, so there was about an hour before we actually got beds. I can't speak to the hostel vibes, since we only stayed at Dia one night. And none of the power sockets worked in the room. Although the property looked nice, and it's not far from Jemaa El-Fna.

Good location for me, being fairly easy to walk to with a map on phone as it's not too far from an entrance to the old city. Tent option on the roof was economical. Breakfast was more substantial than I'd expected. Walking to the railway station took about 40 minutes.

Cons: The taxi from the airport to near the riad was c €20, so do get some local money when you arrive. Nb. Remember the City Tax at the accommodation and have some extra cash for that. The toilet and bathroom may be in another room. Ps. It can get cold in winter evenings and mornings, & cities are not the quietest of places.

The location is good because it is in medina not far from the main street - easy to reach with luggage from/to taxi. The host Muhammad was really very warm and taking care. The interior is nicely decorated. The rooftop is with the view to medina and mountains in the horizon. Good value for money if you are travelling on low budget. My option was tent on the rooftop and it was experience🤗

Cons: The bed linen was clean, but very old and worn from laundering. Also I was at the cold period - first days of January, so it was cold and moisty everywhere , but its just the season. Need the owners to put more attention to shower and toilet facilities.

Cons: To get to the facility you have to go through a maze of paths. Knock and the staff will open the door for you! I stayed in a tent on the roof. The place is beautiful. The location is perfect and the people working there were friendly. Staff was great!! Stunning building.

Cons: When we arrived there was no room for us. We were left in the dark about this problem until I asked what the problem was and what we were waiting for. We had to leave to go to another hotel from the same owner. When I said I did not book that other hotel in another part of the city I was told it was for 1 day. Then we could move back. If I wanted to pack and move every day I would choose and book my own places. This owner has 4 hotels and keeps the booking open and just shift people around. You cannot trust to get what you booked for. This hotel was full but you could still book a room on booking.com. We did get our room in the end, different room than we booked, but at least in the same beautiful place we wanted to be. But only after a lot talking and time. The staff was absolutely friendly and made our stay there a good experience, despite the wrong start. But we could have done without all this stress, arguing and wondering if we lost all this money we paid for a stay of 5 days. This is a good place for young travelers who stay in dorms. Don’t book rooms and expect to get what you booked. The owner just overbooks and let his staff sort it out. Money is what counts.

Staff is beyond friendly. Family like feeling. Staff is fluent in 5+ languages, easy to communicate and overly accommodating. The place is beautiful- everything is layered in tasteful decoration- a hostel with the style-level of a hotel. Ground floor is full of lounge seating, which is great for meeting others in hostel, good wifi, and comfortable. Dorms are very organized and clean. Bathrooms/shower facilities are clean and polished; again, better than any standard level hostel. And top of the line for Marrakesh. The staff cleans and mops daily. Rooftop terrace with sunrise, and breakfast included in the stay is immaculate. Served on the rooftop with your preference. Eggs, crepe, yogurt, honey, tea. You get the sun all day on the roof top. All around, will return when I get back to Morocco. Best experience ive had in Marrakesh.

We enjoyed our stay A LOT. Mohamed and the rest of staff was very kind and helpful with every aspect (from where to eat, to organize the transportation for excursions, etc). they really got out of their way to help you as best as they can. The structure was also very nice and the breakfast delicious. I have no words to exprime our gratitutde to the staff that was there for everything we needed and also had the thoughtfulness to make a little gift for my birthday which was very heartfelt. We recommend this structure if you're more interested in having a good time with locals and people from all over the world more than in staying in a particularly fancy hotel.

Cons: I'd just suggest to change mattress as it is a little uncomfortable and consider having the room cleaned or change towels when someone stay for long time.

Nice place for the price. Great location. Breakfast is really nice with tea or coffee, a boiled egg, some cake, some bread, butter and jam. The decoration is beautiful and the rooftop offers a nice view.

Cons: The doors are in really bad shape, more os less broken and you can't really close it, so don't count on privacy. We felt cold inside (in december it gets as cold as 3-4°C during the evening) and there was some air flowing through the door. Bring euros in cash to pay for the stay.

To be honest staying there at that hostel was above my expectations, as a person who travels a lot Riad Jennah Rouge was one of the best hostels I stayed in, Mohamed and Ali; the staff were really helpful and kind and they were always there for help, the location is very good and it's very close to the main square. The property is decorated beautifully and is in a great location. The room we stayed in was comfortable, clean and decorated beautifully. Inside the Riad it is very peaceful just what you need after walking around the busy souks in the day. The rooftop was great to relax on and look out across the top of Marrakech. We arrived late at night on the airport. We used the airport shuttle we already Booked with Jennah Rouge. When we arrived in the city, the manager was already waiting for us to pick us up and walked with us to the riad. So we had no trouble arriving late and save! The staff was very nice and helpful. Good English, so it was nice to have a chat and they could answer your questions. Great location, so you can walk to all kinds of cool spots in the city. Also the rooftop is a plus and birds also like the place!

Cons: If your unlucky that someone who is sleeping in the same room, is taking a shower in the middle of the night, the lights from the bathroom will light up the bedroom. Its better to use your flashlight in the bathroom at night I think, when people are sleeping.

The location was satisfactory.

Cons: The hotel unexpectedly did not accept card payments, a detail omitted during the booking process. Regrettably, the staff exhibited some rudeness and insisted on cash payment in Euros instead of MAD (with a charge rate of 1 Euro: 11 MAD). To our surprise, they also requested an additional amount, citing it as a "commission from booking.com," a fee we were not made aware of. To avoid conflict, we reluctantly paid an extra amount beyond the booking total. It's noteworthy that exact change is advisable for payment, as the staff appeared inclined to keep the change. Despite the small amount, their service and attitude left us dissatisfied, and until check-out we still did not received the change back.

The staff was super nice and very helpful. The Riad has a very nice Terrasse . Rooms were clean. Area is quite safe.

Cons: The staff is super nice and helps a lot. But he seems to be all alone most of the time and responsible for all the guests . That Isa lot of work !!!! And I got the impression that the work circumstances were not at all fair . In the most hostels I’ve been there are at least two hosts. I hope very much the owners will take that in consideration : fair payment and fair workhours. It is all my personal impression/ observation from staying in many different hostels

This place is exactly what you would expect from a budget hostel in Morocco looking like in these photos. For me, it had everything I need - the showers are hot (when there's no-one else using them) - the rooftop has a view over the houses in all directions (and the wifi works and you can drink a beer up there ;) - the guests are chill and friendly - some of the staff are super friendly - the breakfast is pretty good considering that it's not an actual cooked breakfast - it's certainly enough start the day well in a hot country - things are relaxed, for example, towels are free and good, there are very comfy blankets, you can leave your bags, hang out, chat, don't chat, and so on - the decor is lovely - it sounds minor but I find it great that almost every surface has some kind of psychedelic patterns in paint, relief or tiles - I chose the place with some expectations based on the decor and it didn't disappoint :)

Cons: For me, the pros above outweigh these cons (for a cheap hostel, even just the showers, rooftop and decor would) - but I'll set out the cons because not everybody is like me... - The showers and rooms often smell of drains - It's cramped and the beds are kind of saggy - It's disorganised - you should book the cheapest bed option because whatever you book, it's first come first served - Not all of the staff are friendly, there is one surly stoned guy

It’s in the Medina but still easy to reach, but there is other Riads in good locations that offer much better value for money.

Cons: When you arrive you have to pay in cash at an exchange rate in their favor. When we complained about the exchange rate, the guy got angry. After traveling Morocco for about a week you really get tired of all the tricks they play to make sure you even spend your last penny. The room wasn’t very clean. After arriving late in the evening it was “checked”, which meant the guy sprayed the room with room spray like crazy. We couldn’t enter the room without coughing for about 15 min, but it didn’t get any cleaner by spraying. Breakfast was nothing special. There is other Riads that offer much better value for money!

- Fantastic location. If you want both easy access to medina and main street (such as when need to take a taxi to airport) - Very social accomodation. There's a rooftop terrace and downstairs lounge where other guests go to chill when not exploring Marakesh. It's really easy to meet other fellow travelers and share experiences - Host is a cool dude - It's a bang for a buck

Cons: Some beds may be a bit hard, but that's a matter of preferences. We were fine.

The breakfast was pretty good, very filling. Pretty decor, nice rooftop. I slept well so the beds must have been comfortable enough.

Cons: - I was in a shared dorm room, it was a bit cramped and the bathroom was in the room but the door to it had a gap at the bottom which was a little uncomfortable. - The receptionist/manager takes naps throughout the day on the couch in the common room on the ground floor. Made it a little uncomfortable to chill out in that space. - Hard to find!! Go down the tiny alley under an archway to the right of a souvenir/leather goods store. Wind your way through the alleys til you find it (very dark).

Location is its only selling point.

Cons: 1. A bit of a scam to look out for. Turned up and were asked to pay in cash. We did not have cash and turned up close to midnight, so we told them we would pay the next day. Then they dropped the bombshell that the room we booked was not available due to electrical issues and put us up in a box two doors down, with a bathroom located two floors down. I think it was the workers' quarters. 2. The next morning, we realised that we were not the only couple who had no room. This other couple paid for their airconditioned room with attached bathroom in full. We asked for a refund as there was no way we were paying the deluxe price for a crappy coffin box. 3. In the morning, we demanded to see the rooms they claimed that were ready and they were sketchy as hell. They gave us the other couple's room and they did notget a room until much later. 4. Which leads to me deduce that these guys are scammers. A read through previous reviews showed us that this is not the first time they have pulled this nonsense. I suspect that because we came in late, they thought our connecting flight from Casablanca did not happen. They must have rented our room out to others. 5. I wish that booking.com showed the bad reviews first rather than hide them. Unless you really dig in and read past reviews diligently, it is easy to miss this. 6. The place is dirty and the boys looking after the place are full of it, trying to sell you tours and probably fake items. Proceed with caution in Morocco. Most people are out to get money from you.

The location is very central of Riad Dia. I was not placed in the riad I booked because they made a logistic mistake and rooms were occupied. It was not the first time so I'm wondering is this a business model. Because the room I got is not on www.booking.com. But after three weeks Morocco I can say this has a maximum value of Eur 25 - 30 a night and not Eur 48.

Cons: The room was booked was not offered, no private room and apparently the accommodation is better in Photoshop. So please avoid this riad and Riad Dia. Private transfer was not a private transfer so better take your own taxi at the airport. Because of this experiences I stayed at another place after this reservation that was much cheaper, better and cleaner.

Jennah Rouge truly stands out as of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed in decades of travel. it’s set up in the delightful way of many budget Riads in the winding old Medina, with a mx of dorms and private rooms, rooftop seating, a wonderfully friendly and helpful staff (including the manager Badr), very comfy first floor seating with a great tree breakfast and traditional and vibrant decor. But Jennah lives up to its name (Arabic for heaven) for exceptional decor and architecture, with very intricately hand-carved stonework, winding metalwork, lush fabrics, colorful carpets and traditional art that’s probably the most beautiful of any value stay in Marrakech.

Staff was very very friendly. Breakfast was very good. The only issue is that our room was in the ground floor, next to the sofa's area. And it was very very noisy. The room has to windows directly to this area. We can hear everyone talking, and the music as well. The other rooms won't have this issue, as they were in the other floors. One really bad thing, one night when we got back to the hotel, there was a guest smoking in the sofa's area (indoor). This should not be allowed. Smoking in closed areas is just not right. I would stay again in this hotel, but I would ask for another room, not the one in the ground floor. The room, aside from the noise, was ok.

Well, the night I arrived, the guy at the reception said there was no room or electricity in the room I booked (which was a private room) and so I had to spend one night in a room with 5 more people. The bed sheets were so dirty, smelly, filled with dust, and I was completely uncomfortable because I wasn’t prepared to share a room.i had big luggage and the room is tiny. The day after, I found out there were GUESTS in the room I was supposed to stay. Why didn’t he tell me the truth? Also, he said he would give the money back (because the shared room is cheaper) and that never happened. The bathroom is so dirty, the beds are old and uncomfortable, and everything just smells bad. I’ve stayed in many hostels all over the globe and this one was an awful experience. I got allergic reactions because the sheets were just so dirty. I don’t think they ever get washed. The decor is beautiful that is true, but that’s about it. I am a woman traveling by my own and I would always get scared to go back at night. Although they say is not dangerous, the way to get to the hostel is just really scary!!! I would never stay there again. I don’t understand why it has so many good reviews. If you have rhinitis or sinusitis, stay away from that place.
