Staff is what makes this place! They were really welcoming and helpful!
Cons: Stayed in a private room with a very old, very uncomfortable bed. It also didn’t lock and as a solo traveler, that didn’t feel safe to me. Toilet was covered in urine and shower was also gross.

I really liked the stuff's hospitality, the chill vibe of the place in general, and the eclectic interior design of the place. In general, the hotel is always accessible, there are many showers, and toilets on the premises and the rooftop is stunning!
Cons: Sometimes can be loud with the activities downstairs but I personally didn't mind it much during this travel. I think maybe for people who are looking for a quiet place it can be a bit disruptive.

The stuff is very friendly, kind and helpful. The price is very good, it's in the middle of Medina. The hostel is very nice, colorful, clean. The beds are comfortable. We slept in a rooftop tent and it was very nice and peaceful.
Cons: The bathrooms are a little small, there could be a holder for shower gel and soap. In some bath cabins was no hook. The shower and toilet doors could be more massive. But the hygiene was very good, it was just a little bit uncomfortable to take shower.

Cons: Miserable. I came to the hostel on time and they told me to wait. I waited for a long time but that's not it. The second day they told me they're gonna put me in another room because apparently a group of friends want to stay together. I didn't want to spoil their trip so i did with pleasure and because i was a solo traveler. Only to discover that they want to put me outside the rooms (still inside the hostel) where people walk by you all the time because the hostel is now full and they couldn't find a place for me to stay that night. What's even worse is that there's a light bulb in the place where i had to sleep that is turned on and it was so disturbing i asked the staff to turn it off but they kept ignoring me and they didn't do anything about it claiming that they couldn't find the switch. I still had to sleep with the lights on because I didn't have much money to go to another place. Long story short it's my first time traveling alone and it's my first mistake to come to this hostel.

My experience in this fabulous hostel was incredible. The hostel has a perfect location it is located in the medina, close to everything you need: the souks, Bahia Palace, and Jamaa El Fna. The staff is very helpful and always ready to answer guests' questions. A typical and traditional breakfast is served it is included and delicious. Highly recommended!

The smaller showers were tight, but usable enough. I would have liked a refrigerator for putting some items away to finish later, e.g. unfinished food bought at socks, et . Alll in all the staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional, and besides this riad's interesting, even fun layout, the people who work here make this place a great place to stay.

The location was very easy to get in and out of the medina, as well as to taxi pick-up spots. The staff were flexible and helpful, and I appreciated that someone was always available to assist throughout the day (I had a very early morning flight, and someone was up and ready to walk with me to meet my taxi at 3:45AM! - They even offered a small breakfast if I was hungry). There were very sweet kittens in the alley leading to the hostel.
Cons: The breakfast was okay. If this is your only lodging for your trip, I would consider eating out for breakfast at least once for variation.

The location and one staff member who tried very hard to make up for the rudeness, arrogance, dishonesty and unpleasantness of his boss
Cons: When we arrived we were told to wait five minutes for the boss to arrive, he came two hours later and never apologised and was extremely curt and rude. Not being able to check in at that time wasn’t an issue, just tell us. The room was dirty and the mattress may as well have been made of wood, the bathrooms were gross too. My parter left his cologne in the shower and the nice staff member said he would get it out later (because the shower became occupied again straight away) and we really wanted to leave after having waited for so long. This staff member left it downstairs for us to collect later but his arrogant boss tried to tell us later that it wasn’t there, probably trying to steal it for himself and paint his staff member as the bad one. After calling the staff member the boss magically remembered he had put it with his stuff. Lol.

This riad is super nice and alive, frequented by many young people. It has a great terrace with a wonderful view. The best part it's the location very central and close to everything worth to see in the old town. You can just walk from the hostel to wherever you wanna go. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Rooms and toilets are cleaned regularly.
Cons: The mattresses were a bit old and uncomfortable. The rooms are a bit noisy during the night cause you can ear people talking till late at nigh, but it's part of the experience of the chaotic Marrakech and in case you can just use ear plugs.

The crew at the Riad really took great care of everyone under their roof. The location is very central, not so easy to find the first time, but again, the staff will make sure you don't get lost! The rooftop terrace is a real bonus after a long day. The breakfast was good and dinner (for 40 dirham) was delicious. Great place to meet fellow travellers.
Cons: The hotel can be a tad noisy at night, but this is hostel life right? Also it gets a bit chilly at night (I visited in January) so a sheet bag or cosy jumper is recommended.

I liked the size and the details. Many colours everywhere. Also many places to chill which is good.
Cons: So, we lost our stuff that gotten stolen, amd they dont really seem to care., and there is no lost and found. What bothered me most is that when i asked for my stuff the owner was sending private details of someones passport they found and got it back to the person. And sharing someones super private information. She full screenshotted his info which is Is extremely stupid and bad. Thats why i think this place is bad and not safe. Very chill vibes. But no respect. Eventhough it was 1 of the most nice hostels i stayed. This is far beyond stupid. I have informed the guy about the hostels actions.

if only there were a single positive i could mention :/
Cons: without a doubt the worst hostel i’ve stayed in, for just a few pounds more you can stay somewhere else and trust me, it would be a lot better. showers were freezing, random cats would walk in and leave their vomit behind, and despite me being a usually heavy sleeper (i have genuinely slept through an earthquake), i couldn’t sleep at all. awful hostel unless you love partying, it will ruin your experience of morocco, i ended up staying somewhere else that only cost £3 more yet i could finally sleep.

Location is right in the medina. Easy to meet people here too. Just have to keep in mind that there are 2 rooftops. So if the one you are at is empty you're in the wrong building. Staff were always great and friendly. Nothing wrong on that front. Breakfast is good. Bed was comfy. Since I had a private room, I had a fan and was fine.
Cons: Building is really old. So the facilities are also old. Showers have mold in them and lot of stuff is rusting over. A face-lift eventually would be cool.

Location is good for exploring the old Marrakech city, the shower and toilet facilities are poor, and the mattress is collapsed. As the main factor of sleep, it is urgent to improve. Frequent travelers are not easy to really fall asleep. Advantages: good hygiene, friendly service staff. Based on the above, it is suitable for temporary rest within two nights.
Cons: showers and toilets are too bad for use. There’s no WiFi in rooms, you must use it in public areas.

Ahmed and Abdul manage the property really well and were just two very lovely guys. The location is really great and defiantly the best part about this Hostel.
Cons: The rooms didn’t have air conditioning - this didn’t transpire to be as big an issue as I thought it might have been but I was still pretty surprised. The Hostel don’t offer any social activities (apart from maybe the morning breakfast if you count that), so not as social an atmosphere as I was hoping.

Amazing Riad, i returned here because of the staff and location. Easy to meet other tourists and i didnt once feel like my bags or belongings were unsafe in the room. They have small safes for passports/wallets/cameras too if you want the peace of mind. Rooftop is huge and a great vibe. Good breakfast and amazing coffee. Nice and close to a taxi rank and about 5 mins walk to Jemaa El Fna.
Cons: often guys with a dog nearby wanting to sell you hash but they dont seem aggressive or pushy at all, i know people who did buy and they didnt have any problems, other than maybe 'tourist prices'

It was my second visit to this hostel, love it! Everything was great 👍 Many thanks to the stuff for cleanliness, breakfasts, taxi booking, and good vibe overall :) Met interesting people there, its a good social place.
Cons: The only thing which could be better - water in showers - sometimes pressure is low, or water is cold. At summer it's not a big deal but could be way better to have it :)

Cons: We arranged taxi pickup for Hostel Marrakech Rogue and we were met at the airport by a man holding a Hostel Marrakech Rogue sign. However, this taxi driver took us to Hostel Dia, which was a 15 minute walk away from Hostel Marrakech Rogue. We were met by the receptionist for Hostel Dia who told us not to worry we were in the right place. We were clearly not in the right place, because we weren’t on his list of guests for that night and he asked us how much the price per night was going to be. The receptionist was rude and told us we weren’t allowed to leave. The stay was fine, but it messed up the pickup location for our tour the next morning.

Stayed for one night only but it was great. The location is good and near the city centre. There is good food nearby and the hostel itself is very large and has an open roof design.
Cons: It can get a bit loud at night since it is an open roof. The showers and toilets are a bit dirty and run down but work fine. The storage lockers are somewhat small and can barely fit a laptop inside.

Nice vibe, lots of spaces to hang out in and be social - different sofa areas, various rooftop spaces. It’s also in a great location.

(RIAD DIA) Perfect location, not too far from the main roads and easy to find. Just make sure you enter it from there as opposed to the small medina streets. Nice terrace.
Cons: So we had booked into this hostel but upon arrival we were told that due to an issue with one of the beds in our room, we would have to go and stay at the sister hostel, Riad Dia. To be honest that hostel lacked a social vibe completely and that is the reason why we booked Rouge in the first place. Breakfast was dry and looking back on our entire time in Morocco, placed at bottom of things we ate. Also I would not say we had the warmest welcome, either.

Leave there
Cons: scoundrels!!! They ruined our vacation!! scammers!!! Once booked, I contacted the hostel twice to make sure we had a private room for 4 people and both times they answered affirmatively (we were 3 people and we paid 4 to be alone). Once we arrived, they placed us in a room with 14 people and told us that we would solve it the next day. Nothing beyond reality: They didn't give us the room we had paid for. They didn't give us our money back to go somewhere else. They did not refund us the money of person number 4 (that person does not exist since we paid it to be 3 people in a room of 4). They violently threaten to throw us out if we continue to complain. There is no point in teaching the conversation by stating that we had booked the private room. awful experience

Cons: The staff. First of all the staff asked for my phone to make the review so don’t trust the reviews. The exchange rate was horrible, i was supposed to pay in euros and the staff changed to the morrocan currency at a bad rate. Then instead of forgiving me 2 dirhams he took 5 dirhams and promised me to give me the 3 i was owed. Never received them.

The location was perfect, close to the central place and the souks but also not in the middle of everything so not to loud. I felt save all the time. The entrance door is locked the whole day which made me feel secure. Also the staff was very friendly and remembered all the names. I booked a 4-bed-room, and after I recognised it I got moved to a 2-bed-room the next day. Common area was very nice and big!
Cons: The doors to the room could not be closed properly. There are no keys. You could only close it from the inside if nobody also wants to enter afterwards which is annoying at night to sleep with an open door. Also some of the rooms are just next to the common area making them pretty loud. Some beds were very hard or to soft, also my bunkk bed would shake and squeak every time you move the slightest. This is especially annoying when sharing it. Also I recommend to check that you get the room you have the reservation for. I also think that there are not enough bathrooms. The kitchen is not made for cooking since the equipment is not good. You get weird looks if you cook there.

The best part of the he hostel is the colorful interior and the many common areas and terrasses to social with other guests and with some of the stuff.
Cons: There is a reason the hostel doesn't advertise any toilet, bathroom and kitchen pictures. These are broken, nonfunctional and filthy. I only saw them cleaning them once in the night. Most of the stuff is very nice but Abdul. Abdul has no idea about hospitality, he is uninspired and does his job with no joy or even a smile. He explained the surroundings on a map like. Here is a bunch of stuff you can do, take a picture. While other guests were checked in by a nice cup of tea through other stuff members, I wasn't offered any even after pointing this out. In case he checks you in take care you give him the exact amount of money. I didn't have the exact amount and spend the whole evening trying to get my change back. After he disappeared I got it back from another stuff member.

Really good. I researched a lot before choosing this hostel over others: - Very social, it's a big hostel so plenty of people, all nice - Plenty of hanging out spaces and sunny roof terraces to sit on - Easy 5 min walk from the main square, Jemaa el fna, and not hard to find - Breakfast included
Cons: I was exhausted from having interesting conversations with all the nice people I met :(

Location is within walking distance to Jam3 El Fna
Cons: The Hostel turned off the lights everywhere and use only one bulb in lounge. While I understand that cost of energy can be expensive in Morocco but there were enough people in the hostel to cover the cost. The Hostel is located in a narrow street where a group of guys in this street were harassing and violent to tourists. My bed was not clean as I found a wet tower left by others. It was dark to notice until next day. Room are packed with beds with not much space between them. At 5am, an argument broke up between too guys as one could not sleep because the lights from another's mobile phone. Bathrooms with sinks with only cold tab and no mirror.

The staff is absolutely lovely. Very friendly, always willing to help (for free, which is a nice change of pace in Marrakech) and they set a nice and positive example. It is in the end a hostel so you are bound to meet others. The staff facilitates this by creating an open atmosphere!
Cons: The bathroom (upstairs) has seen better days, but was better compared to most other hostels in the city! It did its job. The amount of toilets and showers was surprisingly nice! Enough facilities allowed for little to no waiting time!

Location
Cons: The staff (young men) are very loud throughout the day and night and you can't sleep until at least 3am when they all fall asleep. The rooms don't have ventilation so you must keep the doors open, so you hear all the noise and smell all the smoking people do inside the hostel. Although the booking comes with breakfast and they tell you when you check in that breakfast starts at 7am, they don't make it! Sometimes other guests have to cook breakfast for everyone so people eat.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. Mustafa welcomed me straight away and helped me feel welcome. The other travellers at the hostel were really quick to introduce themselves and make friends; a great hostel for solo travellers who aren’t sure what they are doing exactly and want to meet others when in Morocco to feel out what they want to do on their trip!

Good atmosphere. Beautiful building. Great area. Fairly easy to find from main square. Enough comfort and well cleaned. The stuff is great! Just choose the right room if you don't want to be too many in a dorm room

Location was great, everything is within walking distance. The terrace was a nice place to socialise, which definitely made my stay here. Rooms are OK, super basic.
Cons: I would suggest booking excursions elsewhere and not direct via the hostel, as you'll get a much better deal. I used them as I was short on time, but ended up paying the most on the desert tour I took.

Cons: Nothing really, as we arrived they tried to put us the biggest dorm instead of a room because they were overbooked through other platforms. Had to waste time walking around Marrakech with luggage to a partner hostel which wasn't great either and tried to charge more plus random payment fees

Filling breakfast every morning. Great hospitality from very friendly staff who help arrange excursions and taxi pick-up. Large rooftop terrace to chill and meet new friends. Appreciate that they extended the opening hours for us to celebrate NYE, so much fun that day! Bathrooms are clean and ladies make our beds everyday which is a surprise bonus.
Cons: Nothing.

People who work here are very warm and relaxed. Breakfast was delicious, and you can ask for tea at anytime. Ideally located, near the main square. They can also organize everything from desert tours to traditional spas.

Location is great! The girl who worked there (I don't know her name) was super nice! Rooms are clean
Cons: - after my booked airport transfer, i still needed to walk to the hostel, some staff members were waiting there to walk me to the hostel, during that walk they allowed me to be scammed for 40€ in their presence whilst it was my first time in morroco (they knew that) alone with 4 guys in an alleyway at night and then one of them laughed about that the guy got me real good. (The scam was the walk itself by the way, the guy carried my bag (just grabbed it) and then asked me that ridiculous amount of money for doing exactly that) - cleaning ladies also move your personal stuff whilst cleaning (some people don't mind this tho, it's just not for me) - music is very loud in the morning - my mattress was super hard

The people who run this hostel are incredible. They were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help me plan the next steps of my trip and also provide me with other requests. They also asked everyone when they were going to wake up so they could have breakfast ready for us on time. Shower also had great temperature and pressure.
Cons: The place was small, but very clean. No curtains on the beds, or outlets near the beds. Bathrooms were very small, clean but quite small. Slightly hard to find due the the small sign above the door.

Mustafa was very very fliendly.. 6 point only for him…
Cons: I had booked in the dormitory for 6 thinking I would be more comfortable ... instead I realized that it would have been better to book in the larger dormitory with more space paing less... practically I had another customer's feet on my face cleaning and size of the rooms not adequate .. in morocco, today you can find much better.. it was hard to sleep as it smelled in the room .. room with no window. - Attention- The hostel is located within a small hidden alley, and often has a group of scammers located in front of the door. Beware of this, they have scammed me and my friend, and one other guest (that we know of ) on the same day that we have arrived. The hostel is completely aware of this happening. As a matter of fact, they blamed us 'the guests' for paying the group of 6 guys that surrounded us. The least they could do in our opinion is to be professional, show empathy and/or do something about it. The other guest that I referred to previously, was scammed in front of an employee. We have been told that this happens frequently (strangely all the reviews we've read were positive) and heard that some stories were far scarier than ours, so please be aware. If you really insist on staying there, tell them to pick you up from the main square. I however would not advise you to, not only because of the scammers but because of how the hostel handles these type of situations.
