Charming riad in the heart of the Medina, within walking distance of all the sights of Marrakech. Authentic atmosphere and welcoming hosts. The riad has a large and beautiful roof terrace with a unique view. Everything is exactly as in the pictures and even better. The room was spacious and decorated with many Moroccan details like in a fairy tale of 1001 nights. Calm and quiet place. I give it a 10 because of the warm welcome and the traditional atmosphere, although you can find alternatives with more amenities.

The riad has a great location—close to all the main sights, yet peaceful and away from the chaos. The owner is lovely and extremely helpful; they kindly helped us arrange a taxi to the airport. Breakfast was fresh and tasty every morning, and the rooms were very clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Cons: Everything was good, so nothing we didn't like.

The location was great.

Cons: Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. Check-in was not properly handled on arrival, and no clear instructions were given about house rules or what was allowed. This led to an uncomfortable situation when I briefly had a friend in the courtyard, which was later said to be forbidden due to alleged “police check-ups,” something that had never been communicated. The room was dusty and very cold (around 15°C). Despite asking, no external heating was provided. The bed sheets were dusty and had an unpleasant smell. Hot water only lasted a few minutes, with very low water pressure. At check-out, additional taxes were requested on top of what was already included in the price shown on Booking.com, which felt improvised and unprofessional. The manager was also very intrusive and invasive throughout the stay.

Really charming and pretty spot, right near the bustle of the market, but nice and quiet and peaceful inside. The host was very friendly and helpful, booked us a taxi to the airport. The rooms are really cute, with clean and comfortable beds, and plenty of blankets and ac/heater (needed as it was quite chilly in the evenings this time of year). We loved our stay here.

The location is good, few minutes from the main square, shops are literally minute away, with quite a few nice restaurants near! The room looked nice and ladies who did our breakfast were nice and welcoming.

Cons: Shower was not working properly, air-conditioning dripping, light above the bed was not wired well as my husband got electricuted! You have to ask for everything: towels, rubbish to be collected, no water bottles given (kind of must have in country where tourists do not drink tap water)...We been told that place was renovated so we're the first guests since; I appreciate work has been done but should not be 'tested' in guests really. Basic breakfast.

Our host was fantastic. We arrived at midnight on the first day and this was no problem for check-in, and we were even served food at this late hour. Room interior was beautiful, and felt very safe & secure with the locks. The entire Riad, including the ground floor and rooftop (where breakfast is served) is very nice and has a great view of the city. The location is also ideal, with only a short walk of 5 minutes into the square of Jemaa el-Fna.

Cons: The air conditioning didn’t stay on consistently, and for the shower it was difficult at times to find a consistent stream of hot water. Other than that all aspects of our stay was great.

Riad's locality is in the middle of Marrakesh's meddina (old city). The streets aroud are quite busy, inside the Riad's atrium and in the room are absolutly quiet (except twittering sparrows on the trees). Breakfasts were very cosy and fancy. They were served by a madam in front of us on the teracce. Although relatively chilly temperature (up to 28°C), inside the riad was cool, that's why an AC was not necessary to have in the room. The Booking photos of our room correspond to a reality.

Cons: In our room it was quite a challenge to set convinient water temperature in a shower. Some one might be dissatisfied with sparrows and their loudly singing (even at 2 am). It's a natural phenomenon.

Beautiful and cozy Riad, very close to Djemaa el Fna and easy to reach. I liked the atmosphere very much, and I appreciated a lot the sympathy and availability of the staff.

Cons: The room itself was not super comfortable, although ok to just spend the night. What I found quite annoying was trying to regulate the water temperature in the shower: either boiling or cold, no middle temperature. I suppose it is common in riads, but walking over bird guano just outside the room is not that lovely.

it's a simple and well designed small riad right in the medina. Very authentic and lovely Moroccan feel. Sena was lovely and working all the time. Abi was friendly. Good value for money.

Cons: Could do with some tlc, especially the bathroom. i was on the bottom floor. I felt a but like I was in someone's home. There was only one other person staying and at times I felt a bit uncomfortable. As a single woman traveller, you need to feel safe and comfortable where you stay. Cons: My stay at Riad Blue Berber was deeply disappointing and distressing. As a solo female traveler, I expected a professional, welcoming, and clean environment, but my experience was far from that. The host’s behavior was intrusive and inappropriate, leaving me feeling uncomfortable and unsafe throughout my stay. Despite my clear attempts to set boundaries, the host continued to act unprofessionally, including making unwanted advances, attempting to kiss me, and invading my privacy by knocking persistently on my door and even peeking through the window. Adding to the discomfort, the overall environment in the riad did not contribute to any sense of comfort. The room was far from clean, with sheets that did not appear fresh, a poorly maintained bathroom, and a general lack of attention to hygiene. This gave the impression that guest well-being was not a priority. By the final day of my stay, the situation had escalated to the point where I no longer felt safe being there. For my peace of mind and safety, I decided to leave, even though I had already paid for the full duration of my stay. Adding to the disappointment, when I reported the issue to the booking platform, my concerns were forwarded directly to the host, which only worsened the situation and exposed me to further discomfort. This experience was not only emotionally taxing but also ruined my stay in Marrakech. I would not recommend this riad to anyone, especially solo female travelers. I sincerely hope the management and the booking platform take these concerns seriously to protect future guests from similar experiences.

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation! The hospitality of the caretaker was truly exceptional – they went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and provided fantastic tips for exploring the city. Their recommendations made our trip even more special. The breakfasts prepared by the lovely lady was absolutely delightful, fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to start each day. The location of the Riad is ideal, allowing easy access to the Jamen while still offering a peaceful retreat. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with a charming and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and pleasant stay.

Location, location, location. Quiet.

Cons: Hot water in the shower was unpredictable and uncontrollable. Breakfast was copious but there was no variety day after day (we stayed 6 days). Beautiful little garden with trees and birds, but the tables need to be cleaned from bird droppings before breakfast. There was an annoying mixup with ordering transportation from the airport by the Riad. It ended up taking us too long to get there.

Beautiful traditional five bedroom riad in a great location in the Medina but only about 100m from a taxi drop off point and easy to find. We had a large room with a super sized comfortable bed on the first floor. Really quiet despite the very busy location once you stepped outside the front door and nice to have roof terrace space. Breakfast was the usual Moroccan style bread and pancakes with a hard boiled egg served in the central courtyard. Abe the owner was friendly, attentive and helpful if you needed anything. We would stay again.

Cons: The AC unit was placed at the opposite end of the room to the bed so didn't seem to cool the sleeping area that much . There was limited shade on the roof terrace .

Cons: When I arrived, the staff on duty didn’t know about my reservation and didn’t speak English or French. I was given a room anyway. Later, when the manager appeared, he made me feel very unwelcome and told me that I could only stay for one night and not two because of an « error with booking.com » (even though he had previously written to me to confirm the booking). I had just arrived in the country and I asked for a recommendation for somewhere to eat nearby and was told by the manager « there’s nowhere near here ». Later he asked why I hadn’t gone out to eat and told me « there are plenty of places nearby ». There were many contradictions like this and overall the service/hospitality was very poor and unhelpful. This is a cheap hotel so I was not expecting luxury. However it is overall quite tired-looking, uncomfortable beds and sofas, very narrow and dark rooms and a lot of noise from the street.

Sadly, breakfast was poor in comparison to the other riads we stayed in during 3 weeks in Morocco, it was the only one serving orange juice from the box, coffee was poor also. One hard boiled egg every morning with no other option offered.

Abe, Senna and Mona were wonderful, welcoming and incredibly helpful. The location of the riad is the best we have had during all of our stays in Marrakech - really easy to find just off the street between jemaa El fna and baadi palace. The beds were comfortable, a little on the hard side but that's personal preference. The area was very safe and the riad and rooms had everything we needed. Abe very kindly came with us on a visit to the mountains and showed us places we would not have seen otherwise, this was one of the highlights of the trip. Nothing was too much trouble and Abe and Senna were always on site and able to help us with anything we needed. We'd stay again, and hope to bring more friends and family with us next time

Cons: The breakfasts were good but could do with a little more variety. Other riads we have stayed in include things such as fruit and home made yogurt. That said, the omelettes were excellent. The hot water failed on the last 2 days we were there - Abe did everything possible to resolve the situation and the plumber was still working on it as we left. Overall the decor of the riad is wonderful, but some areas are looking a little tired. Some of the tiles are stained, some cracks in the wall haven't been repainted yet. Not a big deal, but if fixed would make the place better. The blue bedroom where we stayed has windows on the outside as well as the inside. This is actually a disadvantage as the noise from the alley below is very loud at night - the local youth seem to gather there to socialize / have arguments late at night. This wouldn't be a problem in any of the other rooms though as.they don't have external windows.

The riad is in an amazing location, very close to all the main attractions and also the taxi can leave you not so far from there. The room is very comfortable and cozy. The breakfast is amazing and everyday is different with a wide variety of food. Abe is a very kind host, he explained us a lot of curiosity about Moroccan culture and he arranged for us a very nice trip to the Atlas Mountains. Very high recommended!!

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The Riad was amazing - you feel like you are really in ancient Morocco. Our room was beautiful. The bed was really comfortable. The location was perfect. The breakfast was very good - Moroccan pancake (that we loved), bread or croissants, butter and strawberry jam. Orange juice, Mint tea or coffee.

Cons: The place must great during hot weather. The place is not prepared for the winter weather. The doors and windows are not air tight, letting in the freezing cold from the outside. Not even air conditioning or our oil heater was enough on the coldest hours of the dawn.

Nestled in the heart of Marrakech, the riad seamlessly blends traditional Moroccan charm with modern comfort. The staff's warm hospitality and attention to detail enhance the overall experience. While the rooms exude authenticity, some may find them compact. The breakfast served was always delightful and fresh. Special shout out to Mona, who served some amazing msemens! Overall, a delightful stay capturing the essence of Marrakech's allure.

Cons: A notable drawback is the lack of proper ventilation and exhaust in the bathroom. This oversight led to discomfort due to lingering odors and increased humidity in the room. However, I made do by opening the bathroom and room windows and placing the small table fan in between.

It was my first time travelling solo, so I was a bit anxious. The owner and staff made me feel very welcome. They are very kind and helpful. The riad felt very safe and homely. 5 minutes stroll to Jemaa el-Fnaa and Souks.

Riad Blue Berber is situated in a very quiet and peaceful side street in the middle of the Medina. I felt like coming home every day when I came back from a trip in or around Marrakech. As soon as you walk in and close the front door, you will only hear the silent of the riad courtyard and some little birds (dessert sparrows i think) in the trees. Beeing a morning person, I loved to open my roomdoor in the early morning to hear these birds starting their day! This is exactly why we wanted to stay in a riad and not in a hotel: it is part of your Marrakech experience, it has traditional furniture, historical designs and makes you feel like beeing part of the Morrocan way of living. Me and my friend stayed in the room with 2 single beds which stayed quite cool during the heat of the day. The bed was perfect for me so I had a great sleep every night. The room and bathroom were clean and just what I needed. As we stayed here in October (it was still very hot in Marrakech) I was happy with the nicely thin cotton sheets and a fan to give some extra breeze. Breakfast and food are typically Morrocan, I loved it. The breakfast gave me all the energy I needed till far past lunchtime and dinner was just delicious. Senna and Mouna, the two ladies who did the housekeeping, take good care of you and know when you want some privacy during your stay. The host, Abe, is very friendly and nice company when you are looking for some conversation and tips to find your way through and around Marrakech. He is also an excellent businessman with a lot of connections in town. Summing up, I had a wonderful stay here and I will come back next time I'm coming to Marrakech. Shokran!

Cons: The first day, I had a cold shower because I didn't use the boiler the right way. After asking again, i got nicely hot water so make sure you check this before you take a shower. Beeing a traditional riad, the shower head is not very luxurious and there is a shower curtain which always comes to you when taking a shower, but it was perfectly clean. Toiletpaper was a bit thin, make sure you have enough in stock in your room, just ask the ladies. Before checking in and after checking out, your suitcases are beeing carried by a person which is not from the riad and they want money for it, so make sure you are very clear to them that you don't need this. The person carries a "taxiservice" vest and we were told we were picked up by this person beeing the taxi driver but the real taxi driver was waiting down the alley, so be aware. Everybody wants to make money in Marrakech and they will contact each other as much as they can to "get a piece of the pie"!

A very kind host, who was responding very fast to all our questions before starting the trip to Morocco. The location of this Riad is excellent, close to the big market square and the souks and nevertheless a quiet place to relax. Beautiful traditionel interieurs. A very good place for a stay in Marrakasch.

Beautiful, authentic property, felt at home from the minute i entered and was looked after with lots of care and local information from the friendly manager Aboud. Perfectly located near the main square yet a peaceful place to unwind after a busy day. The room and bathroom were both gorgeous and originally decorated. Many thanks!

This beautiful Riad became a home for us during our stay in Marrakech. The host, Abe made us feel at home, always available to have wonderful conversations and local tips. The interior design is mesmerising, making you feel like living in a dream of colors and textures. The Riad is well located, everything is at walking distance but still calm for an afternoon nap. We would like to visit Abe and his Riad again in the future.

Cons: The breakfast was delicious but it was very much the same everyday. It could have been better to taste a few different things provided by the Riad.

The location was great, very close to the main sights but still very quiet becauce tucked into a small side street. Abe, the owner was very friendly and chatty and helped with Hammam, medical treatment, herbal knowledge, taxi etc. The breakfast was Moroccan and lovely. The room was nice and accommodating.

Cons: The mattress was very hard and did my back in. The next night I padded it with a blanket and that was alright.
