Really nice big bathroom, and working plumbing. Many old riads don't have that. Comfortable bed and bedding, that's also exceptional. The breakfast was nice and staff were really nice and helpful. The location is great too, in the middle of madina but quiet side of the maze.

The place is quiet, the room is spacious. The owner attentive and helpful.

Cons: The access to the Riad is pretty derelict. Security could easily be a problem albeit we never felt under threat. The bedrooms needs to be refreshed, the general atmosphere a bit gloomy.

On our first trip to Morocco, Riad Joya became our home in Marrakech. It has many merits. The manager, Noureddine, is a master of hospitality. His small team is just as outstanding, starting with the dear Fannane. The room was spacious, comfortable, impeccably clean, and welcoming. Everything worked perfectly. Dates, almonds, fruit, flowers, and water were replenished daily. A premium airport transfer is included in the daily rate—essential for finding the Joya in the labyrinth of the medina. Great Moroccan-style breakfast. Be sure to have at least one meal there. At the dinner we had, we tasted the most delicious and refined tagine of our entire trip through the country.

Cons: The Wi-Fi could be better, but the instability seems structural, as we experienced the same in all the riads we stayed at in other cities.

The breakfast was efficiently served and ample. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and always there to greet when we arrived back. The owner even helped us to book tickets for the Jonelle Gardens. The location could not have been better and the transport to and from the airport was extremely efficient.

Cons: The builders next door made some noise but this would not affect future guests and there was a pigeon roosting outside the bathroom window but when the building has finished I don't think this would be a problem for future guests.

The place was very convenient and comfortable. Fannan was so helpful and friendly all the time. I wasn’t feeling well and they got me boiled potatoes and special foods to accommodate my upset stomach. It just felt like home away from home. I can’t ask for a better hotel. It was a last minute booking and was the perfect choice! A short walk from Jemma El-Fnaa and many other key places. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The staff were attentive, friendly, warm, and helpful. My room was cleaned no less than twice a day! The breakfast was delicious and more than sufficient to start my day. The hotel itself is such a peaceful oasis in a busy neighborhood. The design is elegant and modern. The bed, pillows and linen felt luxurious and inviting, especially after a day of long walks and site visits. I highly recommend Riad Joya!!!

We were attracted to Riad Joya by the good reviews, and the way it has been decorated, in slightly minimalistic but still Moroccan style. Italian owners. Riad Joya was indeed a joy to visit. All the staff were friendly and accommodating, in particular our host Nouredinne who suggested and booked restaurants and tours for us. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend. This is a small Riad with 7 rooms so the service is very personal.

Cons: It's not so much what we didn't like but the small communal seating area just off the courtyard could be made more comfortable and sumptuous.

A little oasis in the heart of a bustling medina. If it’s central you’re looking for, location couldn’t be better. A lovely warm welcome from the friendliest of staff at Riad Joya. The property was spotless, with water and fruit constantly topped up in the room. Would highly recommend the organised pick up and stop off as otherwise the property could be tricky to find until you become familiar with the narrow, twisty streets. Huge thanks to Nouradine and his team for looking after us so well. I would very much recommend Riad Joya.

Cons: Breakfast could have been a little more varied. I don’t eat bread or pastries, of which there were plenty. In saying that, I had fruit, yoghurt and eggs each day which were delicious.

We are not usually moved to write reviews online but our long weekend in Marrakech at Riad Joya was perfect. The Riad is a beautiful Oasis of calm in the bustle of the Medina, and our room was just wonderful, but the staff are the reason we write. From the moment we were met at the nearest drop off point for the medina and our luggage was carted to our Riad (we certainly wouldnt have been able to find it without him!). The staff tended to our every need from booking our restaurants, escorting us to our pick up point for tours, sharing their local knowledge and ensuring we were most certainly home away fom home. Our room was even made up twice a day and so spotlessly clean. Riad Joya you were indeed a joy and if we didn't have work tomorrow we would have been extending our stay!

Beautiful property, in a fantastic location just a couple of minutes from El Fnaa Square, so very easy to situate yourself if lost which can easily be done in the Souks of Marrakech. Staff were always available and helpful, our room was cleaned every time we left the villa with new water and fresh fruit replaced each time. So beautiful and calm and quiet, in the midst of all the hustle and bustle.

Cons: Breakfast could have been a little more expansive, with the same relatively minimal selection of fruit, breads and eggs offered each day.

Excellent stay in Marrakesh. The property is very central located close to the Djemaa el Fna and the souks. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They greeted us on the first day with tea and they helped us with everything that we asked for. Each time we left the room, the staff came in and cleaned the room. For sure they pay a lot of attention on cleaning, which is excellent. The breakfast was also amazing and they also have a nice roof top terrace where you can enjoy the sun. We highly recommend this place for a stay in Marrakesh!:)

Check in and check out was super easy, and they were so helpful with everything we needed, booked us a place for dinner right away, walked us out to get a taxi on our last day at 7am with to go breakfast packages! From the moment my friend and I were greeted by Noureddine and staff, we were welcomed and made to feel at home. I totally screwed up our booking and Noureddine adjusted to our needs, very kindly and made it stress free! The room was STUNNING and clean with fresh fruit and water everyday! Breakfast was amazing every morning and so fresh, as soon as we came out of our rooms we were met with our bread basket and asked if we wanted the fresh offerings of the day. I’ve never been waited on so greatly as I have in this Riad and in Marrakech!! Any time we wanted tea they were so kind to indulge us. The excursions were all handled by Noureddine who was so gracious and patient with my friend and I. He made it very simple for us to do all the activities we wanted to in Marrakech and we did many! One note, do have cash for your excursions and tipping, next visit I will have more cash rather than relying on cards (although you can use your cards in many places). This was the best trip I’ve ever been on with everything working so seamlessly and most definitely the best place I’ve ever stayed! Super close to the square, Jemaa El-Fnaa also!!!

The property has very few of any amenities besides wifi (which was unstable) - no tvs or speakers, no pool, no gym, no room service - very minimal so two stars were given for property facilities and for $250/night I have higher expectations. Most conversations can be heard in the room from other guests since the rooms face inward to the courtyard. The riad is a 10 min walk from the closest street where a taxi can drop off. The service is very nice and the hotel can help with luggage. However at night it doesn't feel safe, there's no security presence in the dark alleys and boys are zipping through the alleys on scooters at 30 km/h which are quite dangerous. On a positive note, the service provided was very warm and hospitable and the breakfast was wonderful.

Our stay at Riad Joya was absolutely fantastic. The room was very big and clean. Cleanings happened multiple times a day with fresh towels on a daily basis. Bottled water and fresh fruits were also refilled daily. On top of that, it was centrally located, making it super easy to stroll to the city's attractions and restaurants. Breakfast was a feast! Moroccan pancakes, shakshuka, and all kinds of egg dishes. Fresh fruits and pastries were a daily treat. We also had some little surprises that made our stay even better. The owner surprised my wife with champagne and a lovely birthday message made of rose petals. Also, when we left, the owner gifted us many Moroccan spices, no charge. Beyond that, he guided us with directions and even negotiated great deals for us. In summary, Riad Joya deserves a solid five stars. It's not just a stay; it's an experience we'll remember. If you want a great service and a memorable stay, this is the place for you.

Manager was super helpful and always available. Quiet location, but very central. Clean and modern accommodation. Room service regular and very efficient

Cons: Would have preferred a room not on ground floor - meant I didnt feel safe to open a door at night to allow some fresh air into the room. Nice place in the centre of the old city. Rooms are wonderful, bed is comfortable, shower is large, rooms are clean. The place has few rooms /guests so all guests get personal attention. We cannot speak highly enough about our stay at Riad Joya. The location is fantastic - literally minutes away from the markets and a few minutes walk from the main square. There was a great selection of cafes and restaurants within walking distance too. The riad itself is absolutely beautiful. It's beautifully decorated, calm and quiet, and all facilities were very well kept. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning and the meal we had in the restaurant was exceptional. However, without doubt, what made our stay in Marrakech so memorable was the staff at Riad Joya. From the moment we arrived, we were treated exceptionally well by all staff with manager Noureddine serving us traditional Moroccan tea and pastries to welcome us. We returned to the our room several times a day and each time found the room had been cleaned and tidied again and fresh water left for us. Nothing we asked was too difficult a request and Noureddine organised a variety of different activites and bookings for us. We very much hope to return to Marrakech and will not hesitate in booking Riad Joya again.

Thank you so much Noureddine and staff for the most pleasurable stay at Riad Joya. Noureddine was quick to reply to my emails and arrange airport transfers before I arrived. On arrival, you are dropped off by the medina gates and warmly greeted by Noureddine. He takes you to the riad via it’s small alleyways. Seems a bit weird as you walk through a dark alleyway but as you enter the riad, you walk into your own little haven! It is a stunning Riad with all rooms overlooking a beautiful courtyard. Room was beautiful and spacious. The standout of the stay was the kind and friendly service by all the staff at Riad Joya. They helped booked excursions and spa treatments at the riad. The hammam treatment was definitely a must if staying in Marrakech. The food was absolutely delicious. The pastilla and chicken tagine was sublime. They even whipped us up a lunch when the weather was too hot to venture out during the day. There is a roof terrace where you can sunbathe in one of the sun loungers. I found the experience of staying in a Riad better than staying in a hotel. It just felt more intimate and felt we were immersed in the life of Marrakech by staying within the medina area. Our flight wasn’t departing until the evening and Noureddine was kind enough to let us have the room to until we left. It’s these little touches that made us feel so welcome there! Don’t hesitate and please stay at Riad Joya!

The location was fsntastic if you want to be in the centre of everything - it's down a grotty alleyway but we felt very safe there. Lovely rooms - great service, always topping up water and fresh fruit. Tasty breakfast.

Cons: Nice roof terrace, no pool.

All arrangements were perfect. Transportation too and from the airport with someone to carry your luggage was standard. They meet you upon arrival and hold your hand through everything. Service was above all expectations. Your room is refreshed every time you leave. Highly recommend.

Our experience was incredible. There was nothing the staff would not do for us. The Riad was incredibly clean, comfortable and Centrally located. We felt safe and well taken care of. Plan to stay again very soon. A wonderful experience for this picky traveler. You will not regret a stay at Riad Joya.

Cons: Nothing. I really can not think of a thing I did not like or wanted for!

A tranquil oasis of calm in which to retreat from the madness of Marrakesh. Our spacious stylish and very comfortable room had plenty of space for our luggage and clothes. Our bathroom was especially beautiful .The staff here are welcoming and extremely helpful in finding whatever you desire, whether it’s delicious food or a relaxing spa day. My daughter and I would highly recommend a stay in this beautiful Riad.

Cons: Thé breakfast though delicious was the same every day. Variety would be most welcomed.

In the heart of the medina - this made it very central but fiddly to get to and not accessible by taxi. But the room itself was very quiet and extremely comfortable once we were there. The cleanliness was impeccable. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was fine - not amazing, but good enough.

We loved Riad Joya. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We were trying to find a room at a different Riad to be with our friends but luckily we ended up here. It is conveniently located in the center of the madina yet tucked away from the noise. Great dining spots around the block. Room is clean, spacious and bed is very comfortable. The breakfast area is shabby chic, simple and lovely. Staff are friendly and helpful. We got lost at night and Noureldin quickly came to our rescue. Marrakech is such a magical place with lots going on. Riad Joya was the perfect resting place after an exhausting day. I recommend reserving the entire Riad with a big group of friends, I wish we had done that :)

The staff were very helpful in organising a taxi to the Medina and then met us to take our bags to the Riad. Lots of information on what to do and see locally. Very good breakfast, lovely quality and freshly made, best fresh orange juice ever had! Rooms kept spotless, with fresh fruit and water renewed each day.

The staff was excellent and super helpful. They made our rooms in the evening as well and we came back to a perfectly made bed after dinner. The tea and welcome biscuits they served were very tasty The owner was available to greet us always and answer our questions. Breakfast is served when you wake up, no time limit.

Cons: It is a little difficult to find, but the staff will come pick you up from the main street. The location is right in the middle of the Medina, so expect the areas around you to be crowded and not very city like. It is super safe though, even at night to walk back.

The location of Joya was excellent and we loved our breakfast. I think there are good rooms at Joya, we just chose a bad room.

Cons: Our room, and to be fair to Joya, we chose the room was not great. It was dark and cold and over 3 different levels. The bedroom area was small, the living area did not have a window, the bathroom was good, but cold and you have to go up and then downstairs to get to it. The room was Tuareg - and perhaps in the heat of the summer it would be a good to stay in.

I would highly recommend this property not only for its great location in the Medina yet quiet enough from the hustle and bustle but more for the service provided by Nourredine the owner. It felt like you were staying with family, talking care of all your needs, walking you to and from places so you don’t get lost and are safe. He set up a tour and driver. And the rest of the staff was so friendly too. Lastly the room and property was so beautiful, clean and everything you see in the pictures. It was sad that we were there for one night and wished we could’ve stayed longer. Would stay here again!

Riad Joya is hidden gem that needs to be discovered. Situated at the heart of the Medina of Marrakesh, and still, once you enter the complex it is totally quiet. The riad is beautifully designed and mostly important, the staff is amazing. Nouradin and his team - they are the big joker of the riad. He helped me a lot: from escorting me from the airport, arranging a guide tour, joining me to pottery shopping, and being available on whatsapp for any question I had etc... The breakfast is great, and the big plus is that once you get out of the riad you are in the middle of everything. I really recommend this place for people who want to feel the beat of the medina. Prepare yourself to walk a bit, as in the medina vehicles are limited.

This is one of the gems in Marrakech. We arrived and were catered to like royalty. The house keeping and kitchen staff are amazing. The rooms were extremely clean, large and comfortable. We enjoyed the bathroom and sky shower. Noor the manager will provide whatever you need and escorted us through the Medina. The location is perfect, close to the square and close to shopping. You’re also in the middle of the restaurant’s and spas. I’ll definitely do this again.

Super friendly and helpful staff! Everything was so easy. Had a ride arranged from the airport. Someone met us outside of the medina and walked our bag to the Riad. Nour even made us a reservation and walked us to the restaurant on our first night. The room was beautiful, and the Riad was in a great location. The chef made us dinner on our last night and it was delicious! Had a glass of wine on the rooftop terrace pretty much every night :)

Spacious rooms, great shower, the brightness and white colorfulness of the hotel gives it a calm and peacefull sensation within the Medina. Essy way out to the Plaza and walk around the area. My friends and I had the most amazing stay at Riad Joya - the Riad is beautiful, our bedroom was clean, the bathroom was amazing and huge with a rainforest shower, the location was perfect and the service was exceptional. Nour made us feel right at home and was very helpful coordinating our day trips, dinners and taxis. The chef was also wonderful and we loved the Moroccan breakfast! I would highly recommend Riad Joya to anyone staying in Marrakesh. It’s the perfect oasis when staying in this vibrant and bustling city.

Excellent service throughout. Riad Joya arranged for our transfer from the airport and were met on arrival to the Medina by the owner Nourdine. Riad Roya is beautifully decorated and perfectly located in the centre of the Medina. The property is a peaceful oasis amid the bustle of Marrakech, with friendly staff and a small and calm rooftop bar area. Our room was spacious with a four poster bed and superb bathroom with a huge shower. Breakfast was simple and relaxing, we were served orange juice and great coffee with fresh fruit and yoghurt followed by Moroccan pancakes and crepes. There was also a selection of Moroccan cheeses and bread. Nourdine couldn't have been more friendly and helpful during our stay. He arranged a guided tour of the city for us, which was interesting and good value. He also booked us a table at the excellent La Maison Arabe restaurant which is a fifteen minute walk from the Riad. On our last day, Nourdine arranged for his driver Karim to take us to Jardin Majorelle on the way to the airport. We also visited the Yves Saint Laurent museum next to the garden. All the services provided by Riad Joya were excellent value and we would highly recommend Riad Joya to anyone visiting Marrakech.

Hidden away in the alleyways of the central part of the old town, this riad is a little gem. After entering a small door you find an extremely chic and beautiful little place to stay. The rooms are lovely, quiet and extremely clean, the staff are welcoming and extremely attentive and the breakfast was both impressive and plentiful. Given the riad is centrally located too, everything is within easy working distance of the premises. I would certainly recommend this place highly to anyone looking for a few days in Marrakech!

With so many choices, we believe we made the right one. Beautiful room, most tastefully decorated without the garish trimmings of the pics we saw of most other riads. Just 7 rooms, creating a peaceful haven though just minutes from the din of the Medina. Airconditioned, serviced many times a day... the water and fruit always replenished and the room kept neat and tidy. No TV, but not an issue at all for us. Included is a free transfer to and from the airport (or train station?) and a great breakfast. Free WiFi though a tad slow. The riad's greatest asset..the staff. Great breakfast. Ahmed is a great cook! We had what was probably the tastiest Moroccan dinner created by him with the freshest ingredients bought that morning from the market. Nouraddine was always at hand to help, suggesting places to visit and helped with reservations for dinner. If there was one minor negative, there is not much else to do in the riad. No bar, the terrace does not have much of a view or protection from the sun, small common area... but with all of Marrakech to explore and enjoy, this did not affect us in the least.

An oasis in the middle of the bustling Medina! Riad Joya was the perfect place to retreat after a long day exploring Marrakech. Riad Joya is conveniently located... 5 min walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa square, souks, secret garden and many restaurants. Riad Joya is beautiful and the rooms are tastefully appointed with all the modern luxury you'd need! The staff was incredible and took great care of me during the stay. The free airport pickup was great! I really enjoyed the delicious and plentiful daily breakfast, as well as my private cooking class with Chef Ahmad. LOVED my stay and can't wait to return!

On arrival the staff were very attentive and the riad very stylish. Overall we felt it was little too sterile and lacked the comfort and chill-out vibe of most riads, the central atrium was lovely to look at but a bit awkward to sit in as the furniture felt more like display pieces - sophisticated Italian style. We felt the restaurant/breakfast room was very formal, we felt inclined to whisper. The riad lacked any place to just hang out outside of our room. The roof was very hot with lack of sun protection and green plants. Great showers and spacious rooms. We thought is was expensive compared to other riads.

We had a unforgettable stay at Riad Joya. After reading through so many reviews we chose Riad Joya with no regrets. We arrived by train to Marrakesh and got the taxi driver to call the riad to let them know we have arrived and to walk us to the riad as no vehicles can enter the Medinah. We were met by Nourdine at the square and he guided us to the riad. Upon stepping inside we were served mint tea and was briefed on how to get around as it was located in the middle of the Medinah. There was a classy feel to the place. Our room was spacious with a king size bed, large bathroom with amenities. Fruit basket was topped up everyday and WIFI signal was strong in the room. We loved the room and enjoyed the spaciousness and cleanliness of the place. Breakfast was awesome and prepared by Mohamed the chef we read in other reviews. We discussed our dinner menu for 2 nights as his cooking was so delicious and loved the wholesome Vegetable soup that he prepared besides the Lamb Tajine. Will definitely choose to stay at Riad Joya if we are visiting Marrakesh again.
