We have visited Marrakech many times. The location and staff are excellent. However there are issues that need addressing
Cons: This Riad does not match the photos shown. It is time for some upgrades a strong manager and investement to bring it up to its full potential. Cleanliness, smell from the drains, general maintenane is noticeably not up to standard. The garbage site outside the main door has been there for 5 years at least. Why cant the local Riads get together and clean it up ? There are many Riads of a much highter standard for the same price. With a little effort so much could be better.

The riad is beautiful, the staff is very friendly, it can't accommodate many guests which makes it intimate, the atmosphere is calming, it's easy to get to, the breakfast is not too abundant but it's good.
Cons: In front of the riad is a demolished building with garbage containers, which doesn't look very nice, but since we didn't stay there for long, it didn't bother us much.

All of the team working at Dar Touyir were extremely helpful, they helped with getting us from and to the airport without any hassle. The location was nice and quiet with easy walking distance to Jemaa el-Fnaa. The room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was a perfect amount to set us up for the day with the ladies who prepared it adding new things to eat each day. The host Amir was really helpful and kind, helping us to and from our taxi. The receptionist even printed our boarding pass which was super helpful. All in all I would highly recommend staying at Dar Touyir.

We have just returned from our 4 night stay at Riad Dar Touyir and had an amazing time. The staff were wonderful and welcomed us with mint tea and highlighted places on the map we might like to visit and also printed our boarding passes on departure. We arranged airport pick up and drop off for ā¬15 each way which was worth it. The breakfasts on the sunny roof terrace were delicious with different breads and jams served each day along with coffee, juice and tea. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although the bed was very firm, but I believe this is typical of Morocco. It was quiet and peaceful with only the call to prayer from the mosque and then the birds tapping on your window to disturb your sleep The riad is in a lovely, little area with shops, market and restaurants nearby and a 10 minute walk to the Medina and Koutoubia Mosque. (Call in to see Imad, in his blue gown for a green tea in his herbal shop.) Some people may find it a little unnerving at first to discover it's down an alleyway, but it was fine, and everyone we saw, even late at night were pleasant and respectful. Even a group of young men who were sat outside one evening, greeted us and knocked on the door and were just sitting playing Ludo on their phones! š There are more luxurious riads, but the price was great here and we wanted a more authentic, vintage feel, which Riad Touyir has. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The staff were extremely helpful - organised taxis, checked over our trips etc⦠The location was perfect for us. Not too close to the chaos of the main square but a good 15 min walk away so it wasnāt too far to walk to and from the centre if needed. Great layout of the Riad with a rooftop terrace. You MUST have their evening meal. 3 courses and the best food we ate whilst in Marrakesh for a week!!
Cons: We had problems with our safe. We kept our passports safe in there for the week but we struggled to open it so we had to get the staff to help us late at night. Personally better pillows - there was 1 super big pillow and 1 normal bed pillow. Wasnāt always very comfortable.

Wonderful place to stay. Beautifully laid out property. Excellent breakfast every morning on the rooftop terrace and an ideal location for walking distance to all the major tourist spots. The staff were always helpful, with knowledge, information and booking us into places as well as just generally being lovely people to talk to. 10/10 would go back.
Cons: Lighting perhaps a little dark in the bathroom for applying make-up but a very minor inconvenience.

Cute place, love having breakfast on the rooftop patio.
Cons: The room really smelt bad. Smelt like pee or something. Not sure they can do anything about it but it made us feel like the place was dirty. I think it was coming from the bathroom pipes but im not sure. They also had no key to each bedroom so anyone can walk in and no good airflow in the bedroom. Thankfully they provide a fan.

An oasis of quiet, coolness and serenity in the madness of the Medina. The level of service from pre-arrival to check-in was fantastic and I felt extremely well looked after. The staff were on hand to answer any questions I had and helped set things like airport transfers up. My room was beautiful, up on the roof where I could hear the call to prayer echoing around the city whilst remaining cool and comfortable. The bathrooms was well equipped and the bed was cozy. Breakfast in the morning was simple but fresh and delicious. It tooks me 10 - 15 minutes to get to the museums and square, the souks are nearby. Such a lovely place - I'll definitely stay again if I visit Marrakech.

Location is very good: within very short walking distance to market, hammams, eating places and sights (Jardin Secret, Bacha Coffee, etc) (approx. 5 mins). Felt safe as female, also in the evening. Riad arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the bus station and drive us to the riad (10 mins), someone from the riad picked us up from the taxi and walked us to the riad (1-2 mins), so arrival was very smooth and welcoming. Staff was very kind and helpful (thank you!). It was quiet at night, bird song in the morning (very nice), son loved terrace, where breakfast was served. Beautiful room, coffee machine in ground floor for additional quick coffee. Beautiful decoration and attention to detail while remaining authentic. Did not want to leave.
Cons: that we had to leave : )

We loved every moment of the 11 nights we spent at Dar Touyir! The principal management team, Khaoula and Mustapha, as well as the housekeepers and cooks, Bouchra and Fatima, were absolute stars! We met with kindness and consideration at every turn, often going beyond the call of duty. Breakfasts and evening meals were fantastic. Khaoula and Mustapha supplied us with plentiful, helpful information about Marrakech. The location in the Medina is perfect; most places of interest are easily walkable. We arrived as strangers; we left as friends. We can't wait to return!
Cons: There was nothing that we didn't like!

Our experience at the ryad was absolutely perfect. From the moment we met our host, who picked us up from where the taxi driver dropped us, to the moment she arranged for another taxi to pick us up, everything was a wonderful experience. All the members of staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They were always very accommodating when it came to the time we could serve breakfast and dinner. We went on one day trips fairly early in the morning each day, but every time they were helpful and prepared the breakfast even as early as 7 AM. In terms of the dinner, we could not recommend it enough. The food was the best food we had throughout our 9 days in Morocco. The tagins were absolutely exceptional and very flavourful and diverse. The dinner was made out of a starter, a main and the desert and each night we had something different. It was for sure the best 17 euros we spent each day whilst in Marrakesh. In terms of the accommodation, the ryad itself may not look like fantastic from the outside, but inside, it is very welcoming, and the architecture with the inner courtyard offers you a sense of relaxation. Like any other ryad, it keeps cool on the inside so itās perfect in hot sunny days. The room itself was big enough and clean. Whilst it is not similar to what you would expect to see in a western like hotel, if you want a more traditional experience then this is the place for you. We had everything we needed in our room in order to enjoy our stay there. Considering all this, the price was worth it as well. If we are going to visit Marrakesh again, we would go back to Dar Touyir without any hesitation and we would highly recommend it to anyone who would like to have an authentic Moroccan memory.
Cons: Occasionally there was a bit of noise in the evening due to children playing football close to the ryad, however this was not a major inconvenience.

I am writing to express my utmost satisfaction and gratitude for the exceptional experience my wife, cousins and I had during our recent stay at your esteemed establishment in Marrakech. From the moment we arrived until our departure, we were truly impressed by the exceptional service, the warm hospitality, and the prime location of the hotel. First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Mustapha, one of your outstanding staff members. Mustapha's attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine care for our comfort and needs were truly remarkable. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of perfect. Whether it was providing us with invaluable local insights, assisting with our luggage, or promptly addressing any concerns, Mustapha's dedication and friendly demeanor were truly commendable. His impeccable service truly made a significant impact on our overall experience at your hotel. Furthermore, the location of the hotel proved to be an absolute gem. Its proximity to the vibrant souks, historical landmarks, and bustling city center allowed us to easily explore the rich culture and vibrant atmosphere of Marrakech. We were able to immerse ourselves in the local traditions, indulge in delicious cuisine, and effortlessly access the various attractions the city had to offer. The convenience and accessibility of your hotel's location played a pivotal role in making our stay in Marrakech truly memorable. Additionally, I must commend the entire hotel staff for their exceptional hospitality. The warm greetings, prompt assistance, and genuine smiles we encountered throughout our stay made us feel truly valued as guests. The cleanliness and comfort of our room, along with the thoughtful amenities, further enhanced our overall satisfaction. In conclusion, I want to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful experience we had at your hotel.

What a lovely place. The pool isnāt as pictured on Google but I donāt think the hotel put that image up. The room didnāt have locks but it was okay as we only stayed one night. Itās very homely, like a cottage. Beautiful. Our contact was very kind and helpful, organised us a taxi on our last day to take us to the airport (the taxi driver tried to overcharge us but I donāt think they were affiliated with the hotel). Overall lovely. Communication between the host and the chef around vegan food couldāve been clearer.

Fijn verblijf gehad.

A perfect accommodation! Very clean. Wonderful, courteous hosts. They organised Hammam for us, gave us a lot of information for sightseeing, about their life and even gave us gifts. From the beautiful Riad with cats and birds you can walk to every spot. You don't need a Taxi. I recommend to have dinner there, made by a real moroccan who works there for many years and takes care that you don't get sick like in some other restaurants ;)

Very beautiful riad inside, amazing terrace and friendly staff (Mustafa and Aula really made an effort to make us feel at home and help us)... what else you need? Room clean and beautiful. Good location, central enough to walk to the medina and the square but not too noisy.
Cons: A bit pricey compared to other rooms we stayed (but I guess it's Marrakesch). Room a bit small and not the most comfortable bed (maybe just me?) the shower was draining very slowly (but not an open shower so not too much of a deal, and hopefully they fixed it). The entrance is in a side alley (need to walk 5 minutes from where the taxis stops) and a bit hidden.

We had a lovely stay here for a few nights while in Marrakech. The hosts were so friendly, helpful, and accommodating, even preparing us breakfast much earlier than the normal time, since we had a train to catch (and organizing a cab to the train station for us!). The rooftop is gorgeous and a lovely place for breakfast. There are some great (and much less expensive) restaurants right around the corner or you can go a bit farther into the center of the Medina in a short walk. While there was no AC in our room, they provided a very powerful fan, so we were still comfortable in the August heat.

It would have been helpful to have tea bags in the room, water. There was road works which made it really difficult to get to transportation near to the property Bushra the cook does amazing food would recommend the couscous, khowla, Mariyam Mohammed very lovely people who make your stay worth it

Although the staff are sweet, the property is neglected! You can tell the owner is not around. Curtain rods falling off the wall, things held together wth old masking tape, etc., not to mention the dust. Roof top is nice but is unusable because it is not kept clean. No air conditioning, so you will suffer in the summer. Needs some care and attention.

Mooie sfeervolle Riad, met mooie ruime kamers en badkamers, een waanzinnig dakterras en supervriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Uitgebreid ontbijt met producten van eigen boerderij. Aanrader!
