My favorite hotel in Milan. It has an incredibly beautiful and unique interior — I enjoy the atmosphere and details every time I stay here. The breakfasts are excellent, especially the pastries, which are always fresh and delicious. I would also like to highlight the staff: they are exceptionally kind, attentive, and caring. I have stayed here several times already and can confidently say that I will definitely return again.

I absolutely loved my stay at Room Mate Giulia. The hotel is perfectly located just a few steps from the Duomo, which makes everything easily accessible. The atmosphere is calm and refined, and the cleanliness is impeccable. What truly stands out is the artistic touch throughout the hotel from the decor to the details and artwork, everything feels carefully curated and stylish. It gives a unique personality to the place, far from standard hotels. The staff was also very welcoming and professional and the breakfast is delicious :)

La ubicación es un diez, puedes ir caminando a los puntos de interés principales ( Si llueve, te dejan paraguas ) . El personal es excelente, (Andrea, Momo, no recuerdo todos los nombres ) siempre pendientes y siempre de ayuda. Tienen además una persona solo para aconsejarte los mejores planes. En recepción también hacen reservas por ejemplo para visitar la catedral . La habitación es bonita y cómoda. Si necesitas más perchas, te las dejan sin problema, el servicio de habitaciones es rápido y eficaz . Ponen botellitas de agua cada día y bombones por la noche cuando repasan la habitación ¿ qué más se puede pedir? Me quedé nueve noches y hubiera estado más, lo recomiendo mucho. Si se quieren vistas a la calle hay que decirlo al hacer la reserva.

I’m not sure if I was just lucky to get a room on the sixth (top) floor, or if the receptionist was especially kind in assigning it to me😇. Either way, I really appreciated it. The hotel is in an amazing location—just a two-minute walk from Duomo Square! Super clean and nice staff. The room interior design was really lovely.

The location is unbeatable - between the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and the Duomo. It is a 4 minute walk to La Scala and has a metro station within a minute. The staff is terrific - service is exceptional. Breakfast is good.

I had a very pleasant stay overall and really enjoyed my experience at the hotel. The service, atmosphere, and general organization were great. It was also a bit noisy at times, although I understand this can depend on the location. I really appreciated that earplugs were provided in the bathroom — a very thoughtful detail. Overall, a positive experience and I would still recommend this hotel.
Cons: There are just a couple of minor points to note. The room had a slight smell, as if someone had smoked there before. For me, a fresh and pleasant scent is very important, so it would be great if the hotel could pay more attention to this or use subtle home fragrances.

The location of the hotel is very good and convenient
Cons: Unfortunately, we had a concerning experience. Around 9:00 PM, someone entered our room without ringing the bell, which was very unsettling. When we contacted reception, they suggested it might have been housekeeping, but also said housekeeping should only work until 8:30 PM, so the explanation was unclear. We were told the manager would speak with us the next morning before checkout, but no one came. During checkout, we were informed that the manager was not available. Although complimentary breakfast was offered, we were not seeking compensation. We expected a clear explanation and a more professional handling of a serious guest privacy issue. The location is great, but the way this situation was handled was disappointing. We hope the hotel improves its security procedures and management follow-up.

I am very disappointed with Room Mate Hotel stay as they have double charged the city tax to my credit card when I have paid in cash on the day of arrival 26 December 2025. Apart from that we have the impression that all the food stuff is on hotel compliment except items in the mini fridge. What turned ugly was on my last day in Milan leaving for my flight, I was being told to pay the Gummy Bears. They even charged us for all items not even consumed by us as they claimed that the item sticker was torn. However we did not open the container of nuts or other stuffs since we do not like nuts. With their argument on the sticker labelled being torn off and accusing me of consumption when the whole containers are untouched and full to the brim. I am being scammed as they accused me of eating when I did not and I can’t defend myself since they can just place a container which they have tampered with the sticker and placed in the room. They even without my permission getting the housekeeping staff to check on the stuff in the name of cleaning the room when I just stepped out. What shocked me is that the housekeeping guy said that so long customer is out, they will clean the room even when no cleaning is requested by customers. Just imagine when you did not lock the safe and left the room, the housekeeping staff will just come in. They are so scheming to tamper with the container stickers and to get the housekeeping team to check on the inventory to see if customer has taken anything or consume the food stuff.Don’t be fool by the 4 stars rating and thinking this hotel is good as there are bad reviews of their service. Always check your credit card and asked for receipts for proof of payment made. I regretted staying in this hotel and wouldn’t recommend anyone to take this risk as this hotel is very scheming to come up with strategy to make you fall into the trap to pay them beyond the cost of hotel accomodation.

Location, atmosphere and rooms were excellent. Right next to the Duomo. Lilibeth, Hans, Jeffrey and Mae were very helpful and provided good customer service. If I go back to Milan again, I will definitely stay at Room Mate Giulia.

Everything to be honest was excellent, from the amazing staff, to the estate of the art rooms, to the location. Its my favorite hotel in Milano and I will come back again with no doubt. From all of the above, I would like to thank Marco from the reception team. He welcomed us to the hotel and arrange all our needs. The check in was at 3 pm but we arrived early at the hotel (around 10 am) and he gave us a room that was ready without having to wait till 3pm. Thanks again Marco and the rest of the staff!
Cons: If you are coming with your own car, you have to be careful not to pass by the restricted zone. check very well about the matter before arriving to the hotel to avoid any penalties or fines.

I can say confidently it is the best hotel to stay in Milan ! Super clean room! Welcoming staff Mr. Mateo and Mr. Rayn in the reception and all doorbell boys were humble and helpful and the LOCATION in the heart of Dumo just few steps to the Galleria l, nice ambiance, comfy beds but large bathroom, very quiet although my room was close to the elevator. I was so pleased with this hotel. It was stylish and clean. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room. The best part was the location. A stone's throw to shopping and the cathedral. Special shout out to Marco at the front desk who made me feel at home and patiently answered all of my questions.

Don't be discouraged by the unflattering photos of this perfectly located hotel in a corner of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The quirky and original design, with high-quality cabinetry framed in aluminum studs, features good lighting and a very comfortable, radiant-heated bathroom with orange grout between light blue tiles. Enthusiastic, very courteous staff members could at times follow through more. (Cream for the in-room Nespressso coffee had to be requested three times, and the call from the desk for an early-morning taxi to Cadorna station for the Malpensa Express failed). The internal, courtyard-facing room was quiet, a blessing considering the construction noise on the external side. For the price, however, the room is too small, accommodating not even a reading chair. (A slightly smaller bathroom would have yielded a far more comfortable room.) Also not expected was the malodorous sewer gas from the bathroom sink (also encountered at the Hotel Ripa Roma). Is that a flaw in the Italian sanitation system?

Cons: If you forget your extra room key plugged in the main switch your room won't get cleaned despite the "clean my room" tag hung outside the door. It happened with me and not sure why this system?!

The hotel was very good and the staff was excellent. The front desk staff especially was very helpful. There was no dedicated concierge, but everyone on the front desk essentially did concierge-level work at things like arranging transportation; finding a doctor for a member of our party who became ill; finding a pharmacy nearby to fill prescriptions; making restaurant recommendations; etc. It was wonderful having them to ask about things. The rooms were comfortable and had everything you would need. This is in a beautiful converted building and the rooms are a bit small and can be a bit idiosyncratic, but I don't consider that to be a downside. There was coffee available in the room and a minibar. There was not iron for pressing clothes, but otherwise everything you could want was there. The breakfast that is included with the room was very good. Included were pastries, toast, fruit, yogurt, charcuterie, cheese, coffee americano and cappuccino, espresso and so forth. You can order eggs for a small a la carte fee. The location cannot be beat. This hotel is steps away from Piazza di Duomo and close to the famous marketplace. There is a metro stop at the Piazza and a taxi rank as well. There was a restaurant next door (Pino) which served great food and wine. Overall, I cannot imagine a better hotel for that location.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, steps away from the Galleria Emmanuel Vittorio, the Duomo and shops. the staff are friendly and helpful but I feel there were some staff - particularly porters who did not understand English - I don't think hey even understood Italian - a lot of nodding and gesturing. Pietro assisted us a few times and he was fantastic, helpful and freely shared information and escorted us to our Taxi or Uber and waited with us, which was a great touch.
Cons: The construction going on was a huge distraction - lots of noise all the time. Access to and from the hotel from door was hampered and the street leading to the hotel was closed and therefore access to the street for transport (taxi and Uber were complicated). Things beyond the hotels control were the rain and mud as well as the very bad smell outside.

A localização é fantastica, praticamente voce esta dentro do Domus, o quarto e o banheiro são confortaveis, apesar do nosso quarto não ter vista nenhuma, o room service muito fraco apesar do café da manhã ser muito bom,
Cons: A rua estava bloqueada por reformas, então foi preciso deslocar a pé até o hotel, solicitar o valet pegar as malas, e por ter feito o check-in muito tade, a noite, contratei no hotel o parking tercerizado, absurdo preço de 65 euros por dia, preço alto pelo conforto.

Cons: We had construction all around. Very noisy. They gave us a room above employee entrance, woke up very early because of the noise of the garbage being removed just under us. Very dark room. Didn’t like it at all

Cons: Baustelle direkt vor dem Hotel mit Lärm und ma konnte nicht direkt vor das Hotel fahren. Es gibt allerdings Koffertransport Nachts Lärm (von Schallisolierung haben wir nichts gemerkt) und tagsüber / morgens Baustellenlaerm Wir wurden nachts um 24 Uhr durch das Personal telefonisch bzw. Zimmer per Klingel geweckt, weil wir eine Schere ausgeliehen hatten und man dachte, diese sei nicht retourniert worden (was aber der Fall war)

The hotel is funky and cool As a picky person I would say the bedsheets don’t thrill me. My room had some noises passes through it. I’ve been here before with kids and we had a great set up but alone I didn’t love the creature comforts as much. The design is fun though and there’s construction going on just in front.
Cons: Construction isn’t noted in the booking process and breakfast or coffee would’ve been nice to have included.

Can’t recommend this hotel enough.. Absolutely amazing location and rooms were fantastic and so quiet that we both had best nights sleep. The best thing about the hotel though is their staff .. just wonderful.. couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly or attentive .. they all went out of their way to look after every guest .. special mention to Pietro and Bernardo who made our stay so special.. highly recommend and we will definitely be back !

Wonderful small boutique hotel in an excellent location to see the sights! Rooms were well equipped, comfortable beds and extremely clean. Walk to shopping and dining plus major churches and museums. Easy location to catch a taxi and excellent services and amenities. Would stay again.

Sara, the concierge was extremely knowledgeable and so gracious in making all my plans during my stay in Milan. Tickets for the Duomo, cooking classes, dinner reservations at the most amazing restaurants within walking distance. Tickets for shopping outlet, etc. she was very patient with giving directions. The sauna and steam room was exactly what I needed after a long trip. It’s a cool artsy renovated hotel, towels and sheets everything new, the bed and pillows were super fluffy and so comfortable. The air conditioning worked great . The shower pressure is the best ever!!! Browder, a Dyson and women with long course hair would appreciate this. I would definitely stay here again. The location is in the center of everything.

Room Mate Giulia is located in a highly convenient spot - close to the Duomo and Galleria. My husband and I really appreciated the modern design and size of the room of this lovely boutique hotel. Beds were really comfortable and the service from staff was excellent. Would stay here again.
