If you care about aroma, cleanliness, and overall comfort in your hotel space where you will lay your head, DO NOT GO HERE!! The great reviews were either paid for, or were done early in the hotel's history because there is NO WAY this is recent. We were a group of 4, 2 rooms with double beds and we received 2 rooms with 1 double bed. The rooms smelled horrible, like sewer. My friend was given a padlock to lock her room when we leave ... A PAD LOCK!! How would you lock the door at night you may ask? You can't! The gentlemen who checked us in were pleasant, but the woman that was there in the morning, needs to be replaced. We were booked for 3 nights, we left the very next morning, it was that bad. Had we not arrived so late in the evening we have left that night. Just don't do it to yourself.

Beautiful Moroccan boutique hotel. Very pleasant staff, very hospitable. Perfectly clean and peaceful. Restaurant offers Italian and Moroccan cuisine to cater for everyone. Cocktails are delicious and to be enjoyed poolside. Had two treatments done in the spa and both were fantastic. Room was clean and spacious, perhaps could have a stronger air conditioner in the July heat but this did not detract from our enjoyment of Palais Khum. Marjuan at reception was particularly pleasant and informative, lovely man.

Palais Khum Marrakech is the best boutique hotel in the heart of the old town. Manager Mervan is very attentive, polite and hospitable young man. Other staff are egually good. The hotel rooms are designed in accordance with traditional Moroccan motifs, are clean, spacious, and quite large. We went as a group of five. We loved everything about it. I highly recommend it.

The location.

Cons: As a Moroccan who deeply understands the values of our hospitality traditions and the timeless aesthetics of Moroccan interior design, I had high hopes when my American wife and I chose to stay at this Riad for two nights. Located conveniently at the entrance of the Medina, the Riad is undeniably clean and well-situated for exploring Marrakech. The architecture holds promise, but unfortunately, the overall experience left much to be desired—especially from the standpoint of authenticity. The interior design, while seemingly inspired by Moroccan elements, lacks the warmth, detail, and cultural coherence that define a true Moroccan home. It feels as though the space was rushed and decorated by someone with only a superficial understanding of Moroccan style. Rather than the layered textures, rich colors, and artisanal details that make a Riad feel alive, this one felt more like a staged set—charming at first glance, but lacking the soul and intention that come from lived experience and heritage. Hospitality is a cornerstone of Moroccan culture—we welcome guests with genuine warmth and take pride in making them feel at home. Sadly, the restaurant staff here didn’t embody that spirit. They seemed disengaged, going through the motions with little enthusiasm or interest in their work. It was disappointing, especially knowing how vibrant and welcoming Moroccan hospitality is meant to be. As for the food, it was a missed opportunity. The so-called “Moroccan food experience” was mediocre at best—bland, lacking depth of flavor, and clearly tailored for tourists without capturing the heart of our cuisine. There was no sign of the slow-cooked richness or the generous use of herbs and spices that define authentic Moroccan dishes. Overall, while the Riad offers a clean and convenient base, it misses the mark when it comes to delivering a true Moroccan experience.

Everything, honestly we have no words to describe the amazing service, treatment we received, the quality of the food, and the place itself.

Cons: We liked everything, but if I had to make a suggestion to make this place even better (which is already amazing) would be pool cleaning. Water and surroundings, there were a lot of bugs and spiders near the corners.

Twelve of us spent a luxurious week at Palais Khum and we all loved it! This was my 5th time in Morocco and my second time staying at Palais Khum. As someone who works in a people industry, I know what to expect, I understand the cultures, and I also let my guests know what to expect. I lead wellness and culture retreats. We did stretching, yoga, and meditation on the beautiful rooftop in the mornings. Our meals were wonderful. The wait staff, chef and kitchen team is talented. The couple times there were mix-ups (a large group eating there numerous times in one week - that is bound to happen) they were fixed immediately and with grace. The wait staff is notably attentive and warm. The rest of the team who took care of us were always ready to help with a smile. Communication was clear. Reservations that I requested were all handled professionally. Our trip was smooth and largely because of the Palais Khum team working so well with me. The space is beautiful! Spending a whole week in a place, you want a little room to spread out, and traditional riads do not supply that. Palais Khum offers space that we need, beautiful decor that combines traditions with modern. The neighborhood is quiet, but sometimes there can be noise in the front rooms. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, or reserve one of the other rooms. The location makes it easy to get to all the sites within the Medina and also easy to get close transportation. I loved it, as did my 11 guests! I will definitely be going back with more people!

We liked the numerous common areas to relax and enjoy the Riad. The rooftop patio and pool area, the courtyard and restaurant are all so beautiful and very well maintained, including our beautiful room! In addition, the staff were really warm and welcoming (much appreciated when visiting a place like Marrakech). Stellar service! We loved visiting Palais Khum. Thank you.

Cons: The robes in the room were much appreciated but could be replaced.

The greeting on arrival from the concierge was exceptional. It made such a difference to our experience. The building is beautiful with so many different intriguing nooks and beautiful spaces. Many of the rooms have their own terrace as well as an extensive roof terrace area. Throughout there is lush tropical planting which makes a huge difference. The location is perfect. Having stayed in Riads many times in Marrakech this was our favourite location. Right in the heart of the best part of the souks, near the beautiful Secret Garden and yet still easy to reach from the taxi drop off point.

Cons: The only thing that was a bit disappointing was breakfast. The service was rather unwelcoming and the food rather dull. Pastries seemed a bit stale and the 'seasonal fruit salad' was just tiny bits of diced apple. We stayed at another hotel for a few days before this and their fruit salad was full of strawberries, mango and raspberries so it's obviously possible to get these fruit. This would not put us off coming here again as everything else about the place was exceptional

Breakfast was excellent and the Staff wonderful. Restaurant was very good. Thank you.

Cons: There was a loud buzzing noise on the roof of 11B which was a distraction at times in the late evening. I suspect it was something to do with water being pumped? Water pressure sometime inconsistent in the shower. Sliding Door not easy to lock and unlock for security.

This is the second time that I have stayed here and was not disappointed. The location is excellent as it is just off the main road and easy access into the centre or outside. The hotel itself is clean and luxurious. We stayed in the the junior suite downstairs this time and it was clean and quiet. The bathroom was spacious and clean.

It was a great location close to the Marrakech souk and within walking distance of many attractions. Coming back to the hotel gave us a feeling of instant calmness after the "madness" of Marrakech. We had a very spacious and lovely room with a huge bathroom. We loved the hotel bar and enjoyed some lovely Moroccan wine and great cocktails. All of the staff were fantastic and really friendly and helpful (Abdul x 2, Anouar and the cocktail maker in particular). We were here for New Year's Eve and had the most amazing evening, starting with wonderful canapés, Moroccan music and fabulous feast, dancing and saw the New Year in with Moroccan style, which we loved.

Cons: The only thing that could be improved, was to have a bigger selection at breakfast. Although we did have the best scrambled eggs (blurred eggs) of our holiday here, more choices would change this from amazing to absolutely amazing.

Restaurant and Courtyard

Cons: First I was waiting until 2pm for getting my room. Not given room as booked (no balcony, no windows, lower floor instead of roof). I had to argue to get the room I had booked. The guy at the reception kept making it my fault like pointing out, I should have e-mailed a screen shot (who would do that, when booking on booking?). Then the room I booked had a late checkout at 3pm so I had to wait until 4 pm for it to be ready. At that time the room was not cleaned yet so I had to wait further. Then I wanted to eat something and the reception guy said no problem just go to the Restaurant now. When I went to the restaurant within the Riad they said the kitchen was closed. So I had to insist again that I was told different. I did get food in the end. Since I was in Marrakech only for one night, coming from the mountains, the long waiting time for the room was very unpracticle. Having to argue on holidays is never pleasant no need to say I think things would have gone smoother if I was not a solo travelling woman. When I went to sleep I uncovered the bed and there were so many hairs on the sheet and it was crinkly at specific places so I assume it was not freshly made.

Absolutely fabulous Riad, lovely rooms, big bonus having a bar for a glass of wine before going out. Staff were wonderful. Would recommend the upstairs room leading onto the terrace, so light and warm. Our lovely waiter made me a lovely coffee every morning , black coffee with hot milk on the side. On our last day we had to leave early and our lovely waiter came to see us off and made me my coffee even though it was his day off. Really appreciated these small touches. Wonderful experience, all staff were amazing.

Walked past and noticed Palais Khum did a deal for 30 min massage, access to heated pool and lunch for 450 DIR pp. We thought this was an excellent deal so booked 3 days before. We paid a 400 DIR deposit for 2 people. We booked the massage for 1pm and were told the pool opened at 11am. We arrived at half 11, and it seemed like they didn’t know our booking despite having a receipt and paying a deposit. We were shown to the pool area and given towels. The pool was definitely not heated!! No offer of WiFi or water. We were also told our massage would not be until half 1. The massage was full body and lasted maximum 20 minutes. Whilst the massage itself was good, it felt very short! Changing facilities felt quite open. Shower available in bathroom, no shampoo. Lunch was a set menu - capris salad, ravioli & chocolate crepe , all which was outstanding! This really made the spa deal worth its money.

I was really pleased to see the same staff working in the riad and I felt safe as a solo traveller. Food in the restaurant is always good and the staff are attentive. My room on the roof terrace was great for the sunrises! I booked a hammam at the riad through reception - a little confusion on the date but they were able to fit me in. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and going the extra mile to make our stay a fantastic experience. At the reception, i can name Marouan, Sofiane, and Bouchara. All very helpful. In the restaurant, I am happy to mention Anouar, a hard-working, super friendly employee, always there early before anybody else. Also, Said and Sofiane were fantastic. They were all multilingual, including perfect English and French. The location was very central, but the Riad is located in a small street and around an internal atrium, a bit like an oasis of peace.

Cons: We had booked the "Al-Bachar " suite. A beautiful suite, roomy with a Terrasse. Unfortunately, the terrasse was just above the restaurant where customers are allowed to smoke, and very often, we were subjected to "passive smoking." In addition, very often, there was a smell of sulphur (rotten eggs) emanating from downstairs. Also, they were sometimes playing loud music in the evening, howeverif we complained, they would turn it down. Despite this, I rated it a 10 as the wonderful staff made all the difference!

Guests can indulge in a variety of rejuvenating treatments, including traditional Hammam rituals, soothing massages, and facial therapies. Really liked the decor and the layout. It felt bigger than the property probably is because of its design. Also the pool was great. One member of the reception was very nice, he took our concern regarding the roof room and provided a solution.

The staff is kind and very accommodating to help with requests. The Riad itself is charming but run down, especially when there is so much competition, I would have expected a much better quality of care. The location of the property was on a lovely street with easy and shaded (!) access to the souk and medina, which was very nice and convenient to stroll through.

Cons: The breakfast was really below average which no accommodating any special dietary requirements (even though the menu says they would) and portions were tiny, considering we are in Marrakesh where there is so many culinary delights this was very dissapointing. I was in a room at the very top of the Riad, which unfortunately had a terrible sewage smell every night and morning which made it very unpleasant, the water pressure for the shower was also non-existent, I cannot speak for the other rooms but something to consider!

The front desk staff helped us book excursions and those wre also wonderful. The only thing is that there are no phones in the rooms to call the front desk. Our first night I was freezing because I didn’t realize there was a heater in the room. That was my bad. Also, it is a bit hard to find the front door because the main entrance is in an alley but that is the case with all the hotels in Marrakech. We had the most amazing time and felt incredibly safe walking at very late hours in Marrakech. Can’t wait to go back.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Palais Khum, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. The level of service at Hotel Palais Khum is truly exceptional. The staff members are not only professional but also incredibly friendly and attentive. They anticipated my needs and were always ready to assist with a genuine smile. Their warm hospitality created a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. One standout feature was the concierge service, which proved invaluable in helping me navigate the local area. Their recommendations for dining and sightseeing were spot-on, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to my stay. The dining experience at the hotel exceeded my expectations. The restaurant staff was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also passionate about delivering a culinary experience that showcased local flavors. The hotel is in the old City and not accessible by car so transfering luggage can be quite challenging. It is also a far walk yo the souk gor shopping and dining. The premises are old and kept in very hood condition. The service is excellent. The restaurant was delicious. Very charming. The indoor pool was beautiful.

The facilities

Cons: The staff was neither polite nor helpful. Forget about the Moroccan hospitality here. Many times in Morocco and many riads, this one has a lot to improve in terms of staff. They were sitting on the stairs, looking at their phones, or taking to each other. They were noisy and the maids left the cleaning supplies everywhere. Seems like there was no management.

The staff was welcoming and helpful. Despite the loud laughters, that prevented us from resting during the day.

Cons: The place doesn’t reflect the pictures on the internet, it looked very old , the swimming pool beds were very old and didn’t look clean. Noisy staff that laughed very loud during the day, preventing us from resting. The breakfast was mediocre. We had to wait so long to be served. Hopefully we got a discount ortherwise the normal price is not worth paying for this place.

The hotel provided extremely helpful and honest advice such as how much to pay for taxis/avoiding scams. We had problems with our flight being diverted and severely delayed by 6hrs but the hotel kept an eye on our updated arrival time and still sent an airport transfer to us despite our very late arrival around midnight! Breakfast was amazing and the location was perfect for walking to the medina, we highly recommend this hotel!!

The location was great for exploring the city and a break from the hectic Medina. Our room was huge, clean and decorated well. The communal areas on the rooftop and around the pool were great to get some peace and a drink! It was our honeymoon so it was a treat to have an upgrade and the staff were so helpful and welcoming.

Cons: As our room was split level, the air con was only around the bed. It meant the bathroom area was quite hot, a fan up there would be helpful. The location is in the middle of the medina so it was quite loud at night/early morning but we were at the front of the hotel.

Palais Khum's greatest asset is its staff. Everyone was really nice, and ensured that we were well taken care of during our stay. We also really enjoyed the property, which was clean, beautiful and had plenty of nooks and crannies where one could soak in the sun at any time of the day. The location of the hotel is excellent, and you wouldn't be able to tell that it was in the Medina until you step out. Thank you for an incredible stay, Palais Khum!

Cons: Nothing, we enjoyed our stay a lot. The only feedback that we would provide is to provide more options for food in the restaurant / cafe as it can be quite same to everything else that's available in the area.

The breakfast provide variety choice of food.

Cons: with two days of breakfast experience, we found that they served white people with highest priority even though we arrived the restaurant earliest. This raid is recommended by a travel book for its unique decoration in each room. we booked the junior suit for three nights. The booking information mentioned that they have elevator. However, we were given a room on first floor without elevator. I clarified the room type with the hotel staff. They said my room was junior suit but the room with elevator access coild only be provided upon prior special request. he told me that if i was not satisfied with their room, he could cancelled my booking and refund the booking fee to me. i was very astonished and disappointed for being treated like it. i had to be accepted as i could not find any hotel. their facilities were badly maintained. the lamp was broken. the drain was also blocked.

A beautiful riad. We particularly loved the relaxed vibe and the spacious suite which came with two outdoor seating areas. The staff was so welcoming and attentive. The heated swimming pool is a good size compared to the ones you find in other riads which are more on the lines of a plunge pool. The area around the riad is safe and convenient for a quick walk to the souks. Plenty of excellent restaurants and eateries are close by. We will probably be staying here again when we plan our next trip to Marrakech.

Cons: None of these were deal breakers for us but if we have to point out: a. The pool opens at 12:00 and closes at 18:00 which is a bummer since you're mostly out during that time. Enjoying the pool requires you to allocate time specifically; and b. There was limited room service, so we could not order food for our room but I understand this is true for all riads. These are minor niggles but do not take away from the fact that we had an excellent stay.

What a wonderful hotel! The service was amazing. From the moment we arrived in the airport (they had a driver meet us there and take us to the hotel for 15usd) we felt very well taken care of. When we arrived at the hotel the staff had us sit and relax in their beautiful atrium with some tea and cookies while they brought our luggage to the room. During this time they give us a brief overview of the city; where to go/not go, eat/not to eat. Our room was the Berber junior suite, which was so beautiful and quiet. The bed was firm but comfortable and the shower was beautiful. The terrace is great for a sunbath or to find a nice spot to read. This hotel does serve alcohol so you can have a nice refreshing drink on the terrace as well. Be aware of the cats that roam the roofs. They walk around like the own the place and can be loud at night, however it seems like a norm in the city so I cannot penalties Klum for that. The only negative I can think of is that the condition of some of the amenities were well used. For example the pool was missing quite a few tiles and the terrace chairs were quite old to the point of being unsafe. All in all I will be back without a moment a hesitation.

Amazingly beautiful riad, the interiors are super and all the small details are well thought out. It’s a real food for the soul. Location is also great! Rooftop terrace is like a little oasis.

Just spent a fabulous Christmas week at Palais Khum with our adult son. Beautiful rooms, very comfortable beds, wonderful included breakfast and amazingly helpful staff! The location in the old part of the city, the Médina, is the best way to see Marrakech but Palais Khum is close enough to a real street when you want to escape the crazy souks! A perfect location. Highly recommended.

Palais Kuhm is the perfect place to stay when in Marrakech. The staff was phenomenal in both making you immediately feel welcome as well as help with setting up tours or spa treatments. The room was clean and comfortable. And so quiet from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. I would definitely stay here again on future trips to Marrakech

Palais Khum is a lovely Riad tucked away in a side alley, near the Dar el Bacha. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The only negative would be that the room was dimly lit and could have had brighter lighting. Other than that, good food, great location and great hospitality from an efficient staff. The owner was also incredibly helpful with advise on restaurants and bookings, as were Yassin and Annas and others at reception.

Palais Khum was an absolutely perfect way to explore the amazing city of Marrakesh on a romantic weekend. From the moment we stepped into the Palais, it was truly like being transported into a different world. We were served mint tea and cookies in a courtyard with a fountain. The room was immaculately clean and full of beautiful Moroccan furniture and art pieces. The wifi was super fast. The bathroom and bed were so comfortable, and the AC was a welcome relief from the hot days. Breakfast is served in a white glove French manner with many made-to-order choices. The Palais also has a restaurant onsite and a café for pastries and gelato. We enjoyed the large indoor pool and adjacent sunning area. The rooftop terrace is huge! We reclined there to listen to the evening call to prayer. Although there are souks steps away and the main square and mosque are less than a 10 minute walk, it is so quiet and peaceful once you step inside the Palais doors. They also have a hammam in the hotel (try it, definitely an experience!) Each area of the hotel is beautiful with amazing attention to detail. But the real treasure is the staff. Every single person, from the front desk manager to the bellhops, restaurant staff and hamman ladies were so welcoming, friendly and eager to please. They answered our many questions, made tour reservations and gave advice. And they spoke several languages fluently! They truly made us feel like royalty (and family). I highly recommend this hotel.

Having been to Marrakech a large number of times, we decided to take a few friends with us, to show them some of the magic the city has to offer. Palais Khum was our Riad of choice this time around, it definitely didn't fail to deliver! Its a little oasis in the heart of the medina. It has a pretty sized indoor pool with plenty of seating and lounge areas for the guests. Rooms are large, spacious and AC'd. Perfect for the weekends when the temperature hits 40+. Our two luxury rooms had balcony areas over looking the heart of the riad. Great for a glass of wine :-) Food including breakfast was sublime; we were pleasantly surprised how good it was. This is one our recommended list. Well done team Palais Khum!

We really liked the authenticity of the decoration and friendliness of the staff - they couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome! Only potential issue is our room was only accessible via the roof terrace which might have been an issue if the weather hadn't have been beautiful!

The Palais Khum was absolutely excellent! The service, the welcoming, the decor EVERYTHING! My suite was room 11, spacious enough & had private patio by the rooftop. Loved their Mint tea! They go above and beyond to assist with dinner reservations, get a taxi to make sure you’re charged the correct amount, and help book excursions. Stefano (Owner/Manager) & staff were incredibly helpful & truly nice! I’ll visit again!

I am very particular about where I lay my head. This place is absolutely beautiful. It feels like a home away from home. The decor is so rich and vibrant. The staff is friendly and extremely accommodating. The the cuisines in the restaurant and cafe are exceptional. And it’s located steps away from the Kings palace. Hands down..... 5 stars. I will certainly stay here on my next vacation back to Marrakech.

Everything about this Riad, from late check-in to negotiating a taxi at the end was impeccable. An issue about bedding configuration had to be sorted on arrival, because of a misunderstanding during the booking process (I believed the Royal Suite comprised two bedrooms whereas in fact it was one, plus enormous lounge room. ) The courteous and welcoming Omar smoothly sorted everything even though it was after midnight. The only time we ever seemed to encounter other guests in this spacious Riad was In the elegant breakfast courtyard, where delicious breakfasts were prepared for us at our leisure. The swimming pool is deep and appropriately cool, unlike the hotel chains where the pools are routinely soup-like and unswimmable. The cleaning staff, and the office staff, are hospitable, helpful and discrete. They will assist you with anything you need, from purchasing rail/bus tickets on your behalf to stopping a taxi and stipulating the price so that you never feel that you are being ripped off. The suites are spacious, private and beautifully decorated. The location, within the Medina but helpfully close to driveable roads for the purposes of transport, was excellent. After our stay at the Riad Khum, we moved to a 5 star hotel in the Hivernage district. I did this because I was travelling with my 26 year old son who I thought might have wanted a bit more nightlife. I would not recommend this to anyone, as the Riad far outweighed the hotel in terms of comfort and value.

Lovely place to stay. The staff are amazing and so attentive. The only criticism was the spa experience. The girls had not been told that we had booked a whole package and trying to explain to them after every treatment that there was still more to come was a challenge, especially as they were ready to go home! They did a great job though and we enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely recommend .

This is a great choice and will not disappoint anyone at all. All of the 11 rooms are spacious and individual. I booked the Royal suite which is sensational. The position of the Palais is exceptional in the better part of the medina and within an easy walk of the spice market and Square. The is a stunning pool, large roof terrace and bar, courtyard dining and not forgetting the Gelato cafe which is a bolt onto this boutique hotel. Above all the staff where so attentive and genuinely went out if their way to help with anything. One last comment even tbough it was full when we stayed there was no noise or feel of people on the premise. I would not hesitate to recommend.

What a wonderful place to stay--it is positively beautiful, just on the edge of the Medina, and close to a taxi stand, clean as a whistle, food exceptional, and the crew was wonderful--so personable and there was no request that wasn't met with a quick solution. Stephano has done an incredible job restoring this palace. I will never stay anywhere else, and you shouldn't either! Positively an A+.

Wonderful Riad in the Medina. At the edge of Souks and close to the taxi stand. It's about a minute or two walk from the taxi stand to the Riad. Safe neighborhood and there's security post as well near Dar El Bacha. Staff at the Riad are extremely friendly and genuinely wants to make your stay comfortable. We emailed Yassin a few times before our visit and he responded promptly and answered all our questions. We needed to email an urgent document while we were there and Yassin went out of his way to scan and get the document ready for us. We arranged for a transfer to the Riad from the airport and someone from the hotel was waiting to accompany us to the Riad from the main road. We also arranged for a taxi to take us to a restaurant. Again someone from the hotel accompanied us to the taxi and was waiting for us when we got dropped off after dinner. There's a restaurant and a cafe at the Riad which has a Moroccan and International menu. Breakfast was included in the room rate and there was quite a good choice for breakfast.

Very pleasant riad with large public spaces that are beautifully done. The restaurant on site was convenient, the food good, and meant not having to navigate the Medina or surrounding area at night. Room was small, but otherwise fine.

My sister-in-law and I stayed here for four nights and really enjoyed the hotel. We got really lucky, particularly on the location, since neither of us had been to Marrakesh. Palais Khum is right next to the souks but not so far in that it's a major schlep from where cars are allowed to drop people off -- it's really the best of both worlds. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast (described on the website as "continental") was quite generous and good. The rooms are beautifully appointed and quite comfortable.

Beautiful place to stay. The hotel staff welcomed us with hot tea and sweets when we arrived and gave us a tour around the hotel and showed us our room. They helped me exchanged my US dollars to dirgams with no fee. They arranged airport pick up in which we also paid at check out. The rooftop was large and the inside pool area was so beautiful. It was a nice relaxing getaway from the busy streets outside. I wish we had more time to enjoy it, but unfortunately arrived in the evening and had an early morning tour the next day. I would definitely stay here again!

A serene oasis in the medina. This riad is exquisitely decorated with great attention to detail. Great staff always attentive. We were given a mobile phone to use in an emergency. Didn't need it but a great touch to give confidence in exploring a place where there are no road signs. Had a wonderful hamam+massage at the hotel (twice) well worth it. The location was perfect we walked to all the attractions and experienced more this way than if we had taxi'ed. Tip: to do this use a phone/gps device to backup understanding of the tourist maps or download a walking guide to your phone.

I stayed one night a week ago, May 17th. Arriving earlier than their posted 2pm check in I was never the less graciously received and provided with mint tea and a tray of their amazing pastries (with a similar selection in the room as a welcome gift). My room was available by 1:30pm or so. Rose petals everywhere! Breakfasts were abundant and the subsequent dinner and lunch were delectable.

Stayed here for 10 yr anniversary for 3 nights - can't fault it. Great, quiet little place tucked away off the busy streets. Very quiet and theres a fantastic terrace to which to view this great city. The staff were excellent, very attentive and nothing was any hassle. The Riad is small and intimate yet you are not cramped - there are around 13 rooms and our was fantastic - they laid out flower petals on our arrival with some pastries and fresh fruit. The pool was used by us on every day and we were the only ones using it - ample enough for a small swim. The Raid was literally only 15 mins from the main J'emeel Fna square through the winding streets and literally only a 10 min meander to the souks - so location wise it is absolutely perfect - i can honestly say, given some of the reviews, this is way better than we thought. The big question really is "would we stay there again" - and the answer is an absolute yes, would we recommend this Riad, yes absolutely - we can't wait to go back.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Mohammed (Hotel Manager) who sat and welcomed us with traditional tea and biscuits; whilst Haaj took our bags and welcomed us to our suite. We booked the El Bacha suite which we were completely blown away, the hotel was exquisite with an indoor pool, two beautiful court yards, a bar, large roof terrace and café. Given it was my 30th birthday, myself and 3 other friends had quite a few requests; one of which, my friends arranged a surprise birthday cake which came with a bottle of Prosecco set on a beautifully decorated private table especially for us by the friendly hotel staff. Additionally on our final night we wanted to have dinner on the roof terrace, which Mohammed made happen with the help of his kind staff which set it up beautifully. The piece de resistance? THE STAFF. Mohammed was exceptional, ensuring our every need was adhered to, he was very helpful advising fantastic places to go and see; and he was also kind enough to give us a room to freshen up in before we departed for the airport. The other staff Haaj, Hassan, Sadiki and Sofian to name a small few of the large team, were incredibly hospitable always greeting us with a smile, organised, had numerous friendly chats/laughs with us, waited on us hand and foot and were extremely generous to us throughout our entire stay.

Excellent hotel. Located just inside medina so short walk from car drop off/parking to hotel. Very short walk from hotel to souk and restaurants. Stayed in royal suite, it was one of the largest and nicest rooms I've ever seen, over a thousand square feet, it was very luxurious. Huge bathroom, tub shower, private balcony, it was amazing. Overall the hotel was excellent, great indoor pool to cool yourself on a hot Marrakech day. The manager Adil was great also, he did everything possible to make us comfortable. Advice on restaurants, arranged transportation to Adadir, even offered to keep an eye on our 11 and 13 year old kids while they swam, so we could go out to souks. We didn't take him up on this but I would have been comfortable doing so.
