I visited this property 11-17-11/23/25 with my family and friends to celebrating our 50th Birthday. The location of the hotel was great. While the property was beautiful the lack of customer service was unacceptable, specifically from the front desk staff. Service was slow and often unable to contact someone by phone to request items. The concierge guys and housekeeping staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Overall, very disappointed in our stay. Certainly not a 5 star hotel or service.

A spacious 5-star property that didn’t quite meet the class or standard expected. While the staff were warm and welcoming, service was slow and often lacked attention to detail, with follow-up needed. The room was very noisy beside the lift, and had a few small maintenance issues along with a stained towel. The bed was great! Very comfortable. Breakfast was a little overwhelming free for all and the food itself was only average. Several signs were misspelled across the hotel — something I wouldn’t expect to slip through in a 5-star environment. Overall, a large and friendly hotel, but far from the elegance, consistency and polish associated with a 5-star experience.

We visited as a family and stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. Incredible choice, it was absolutely ginormous and felt very palacial ! Housekeeping were fabulous too. Really enjoyed the pool area, always easy to find a good spot and poolside service was great. Yes, pool wasn't heated but very thankful for this after baking in the sun. Building work was a bit noisy but can't say it had an impact. (Though I did feel for the staff in reception as it was noisiest there) Great location for Menara Mall, we enjoyed this in the evenings as it was very lively and a great experience. Only a short taxi ride to the Medina and easily arranged. Private tours were more expensive but the staff were fantastic and it really was a 5* experience. Breakfast was incredible, probably the best selection we've seen. Service a bit hit and miss for a hotel of this standard, but if you accept that you can easily get your own drinks and coffees then it really isn't an issue. We would like to return, overall a lovely stay!

The staff at reception and concierge were lovely and helpful. Bar and restaurant staff where slow, clueless and inefficient! Also very expensive! The pool area was nice but cold. Our room was a bedroom with lounge split over 2 rooms with a terrace. Nicely done but not finished as one room. There is major building work on the top of the hotel for extra restaurants. We did not receive any communication from the hotel regarding this. It was noisy all day long and can be heard and seen from our room and look. We would have cancelled if we had known, a lot of money for a noisy time at the pool and bar.

Great location, but definitely not a 5 star hotel. Building work going on from 8-4 which can be heard from the main pool area. No warning on the website or with the booking agent. Thier response to complaining was to use the other pool and the building work didn't impact our holiday!! The lack of customer service let's them down, which is shame as it could be a great hotel.

We booked the Savoy expecting something a little bit special. When we arrived, you couldn't see the front of the building, it was just a massive building site. All day long there are power drills and hammers et cetera going on and there is absolutely no escape. It doesn't matter where your room is located in the hotel, or you can hear is the racket from the building site so, don't expect any relaxation while you're here. The staff are obviously very fed up with this as the service level has gone through the floor. Over half an hour to get a drink on most occasions. I wouldn't mind but over £20 for an appal spritz? We're trying to move hotels tomorrow as there's not much fun staying here.

Upon arrival, unbeknown to us (no prior notice on booking.com 😠) - there was a lot of scaffolding at the entrance with lots of cranes, pilings & noisy buildings works going on. This meant the usual relaxing lobby was not - and it was very noisy around the outside pool & restaurants. However, the bedrooms are at the back, so much quieter and didn’t hear any buildings works from our room at the back of the hotel. The staff were very attentive, the breakfast choice was extensive & the Italian restaurant did make a dinner for us that wasn’t on the menu👍 Also, the gym has lots of great equipment and the indoor pool is really lovely. But - you have to pay for the sauna, spa, etc in advance, which we were not told of beforehand. I should mention the free Menara Gardens nearby - a 20-minute walk to a local park set within extensive olive orchards with a reservoir pool (no swimming), pavilion (have to pay to enter only the pavilion) and a couple of ramshackle cafes that serve great tea! I will do more research next time👍

Whilst the hotel has nice facilities and the public spaces are kept clean, we encountered several issues that impacted our overall experience. Some of the staff, particularly at the breakfast buffet and among the cleaning team, were not very friendly. Reception and housekeeping also rarely answered their phones, which made it difficult to reach them when needed. We stayed in a suite that was spacious and comfortable. However, room cleaning was consistently done around 6pm each evening—right when we were trying to get ready for dinner. I also noticed that used glasses were simply rinsed in the bathroom sink and dried with a clean towel, rather than properly washed. There is currently construction work taking place at the hotel, which we were not informed about in advance. While relaxing by the pool, we were often disturbed by drilling and loud banging. The evening shisha is reasonably priced, but the coals were not maintained—they were left to burn out without being refreshed or adjusted.

We were in room 1120 Couldn't use the balcony as we were staring onto other balconies ( appartment block in front of our room We informed management but nothing happened We order a hotel taxi to pick us up at the airport didn't happen. Facilities in hotel were excellent Concierge team very helpful The 2 bartenders who looked after the bar off the foyer deserve a special mention. Location of hotel spot on 25 minute walk to the old city but plenty to see on the walk and plenty of restaurants in the area

We were accomadated with a very nice room. A two bedroom suite. The pools were really nice and clean. The hotel had several options for dining and a nice breakfast buffet. The only thing we did not like was the layout of the shower and the slow drainage of the water. The staff were very helpful and we booked 2 nice excursions with Mr.Ali who was in charge of the tours.

On arrival at the hotel I found the staff at reception rude and unhelpful. Having booked a pool view room I was extremely disappointed not only with the view from the room which had a palm tree obscuring any view of the pool but also was in an additional part of the hotel which in comparison to the rest of the hotel was shabby and run down. Thankfully we had a very nice porter helping us with our luggage and when we told him we were unhappy he advised us to return to reception and complain. Thankfully after being persistent we were offered a perfect room in the main hotel. Our experience daily at breakfast was extremely unpleasant due to the in competence of the staff. The staff were unattentive, slow, dismissive and rude. Hot drinks took ages to arrive, cutlery was always missing, plates were left to pile up before being removed on request. Not one member of staff showed initiative. The food was mediocre. On our first day we ate in the restaurant and signed the meal to our room. The following evening at 11.00pm a waiter woke us, banging on our door insisting that we pay the bill immediately. The sun loungers were hard with no additional cushion which was far from relaxing. The only people that showed any friendliness and were helpful was the gentleman who works independently arranging trips and the porters. Management at this hotel need to put a smile on their face and welcome their guests. This hotel at top merits a three star rating

We had a lovely stay at Savoy Le Grand Hotel. The location is perfect, close to the main attractions and just a short walk from the mall and restaurants. The hotel itself is beautiful, with spacious rooms and a stunning pool area that feels like a true oasis in the city. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of fresh options, and the staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay. The only small downside was that the service could be a bit slow at times, especially around the pool area, but overall everything was great. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy Marrakech in comfort — definitely recommend!

The hotel has constant construction work ongoing. From the moment you enter the hotel you will hear grinders and hammering. The pool area has constant construction noise which makes the experience frustrating. Some days they have a DJ at the poolbar that tries to play louder then the builders, making it even worse. It’s like being at a acidmusic nightclub - can you relax there?… Slow service at the restaurant is what you must expect - actually interesting observation is the number of supervisors and managers doing nothing…while a few «workers» are doing there best. Absolutely sure that much better deals are to be found in the area. Not worth the money or the 5-star rating. Worth to not for families: softdrink price 70MAD in hotel, 8MAD in the Mall next door.

Generally speaking the service was good. The taxi booking from the hotel was 50% more expensive 150 MAD than a legitimate taxi which was already expensive - 10 minutes ride from the hotel to the airport for 100 MAD.

The entire staff, without exception, did everything to make sure our stay was the best. the Reception Supervisor, was outstanding, and did everything possible to ensure that our stay was the best experience.. Lovely poolside room, the hotel is close to airport and other destinations . Worth the money

The restaurants were exceptional – every meal was delicious, beautifully prepared, and served with care. Truly a highlight of our trip! A very special thank you to Hussam, the assistant restaurant manager. He was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. When we faced delays with room service (especially getting milk for our baby), Hussam stepped in immediately and personally made sure everything was delivered on time, every time. He made a real difference in our experience, and we are so grateful. Rida and other staff were also warm and welcoming. One suggestion for the hotel: it would be great to allow parents to collect essentials like baby milk directly from the bar or restaurant, rather than waiting for room service. Also being a Muslim country it would be great if you could provide prayer mats in rooms, a prayer room in lobby and Muslim shower in the lobby toilets. Thanks again to Hussam and the whole team – we hope to return!

I have just returned from my stay at this hotel. It has been a wonderful stay. A beautiful hotel with so much attention to detail. The staff are all polite and helpful. The location is excellent and the hotel is full of ambience and calmness. The food is of good quality with lots of options. The night time entertainment also compliments the vibe of calmness and ambiance. I would definitely recommend this hotel so much so that I will be staying here again in November.

Whereas I spoke to other receptionist more than 40 minutes before and waited in Lounge for 30 Minutes After waiting for more than one hour , room service staff arrived. Very very upsetting. 5 out of 5 Unreal hotel, from the minute you walked through the door they could not help you enough, nothing was ever to much for them. Staff were lovely Breakfast was gorgeous every morning, lots of variety of food, fresh pancake stand, egg stand, fresh moroccan bread made infront of you Drinks are on the pricey side, for alcohol and non alcohol however there is a supermarket very cheap next door to hotel along with a shopping mall Would recommend anyone to stay here, rooms were lovely and spacious Next time I would probably get a pool view as our view wasn’t the best but couldn’t fault anything!

Recently landed after a week holiday, family with a teenager. The hotel was brilliant, location is great and staff were attentive and professional. Particular thanks to a lady in reception would only recently started from an Aqua park hotel, she’s fantastic and the epitome of high end customer experience. Breakfast was also great. Only downside, service at the pool was super slow and twice our order was forgotten. Had a rollaway bed which could have been much more comfortable! Not great but not enough to take away from the whole experience. Definitely would visit again.

As a mother of two young children (aged 5 and 1), I feel compelled to warn other families about our recent stay at the Savoy Le Grand Hotel. We were a group of 18 staying for 5 nights, and what should have been a special family holiday turned into one of the most disappointing and stressful experiences we’ve ever had at a hotel that claims to be 5*. From the beginning, the level of service and professionalism fell far below expectations. Staff were inattentive, dismissive and, at times, outright rude when we raised concerns. This isn’t what you expect from a 5* hotel. Our rooms were poorly maintained. They weren’t cleaned on time, the fridge and AC barely worked, and our balcony looked out onto the hotel’s dumping ground. Shockingly, the balcony railing was extremely loose and wobbled dangerously, a terrifying risk for anyone, but especially with children around. The corridors were dirty, with carpets looking like they had not been hoovered for weeks. The windows and fire exits were constantly left wide open by staff, letting in unbearable heat. On one night, my children were woken up by loud building work at 1.30am, and when I complained, the night manager didn’t even know it was happening! The swimming pool area was appalling. The vinyl was peeling, mould was visible in the cracks, and there simply weren’t enough sunbeds, leading to constant arguments between guests. One one occassion, a dispute for beds led to a family memebr being racially abused. Most alarming of all, my 8-year-old niece was squashed by the automatic sliding door at the pool entrance. Instead of showing concern, management dismissed it and blamed my niece for their faulty equipment. Even after looking at cctv footage which shows the door should clearly not have shut on my niece, we were still shown no empathy over the situation. As a parent, this lack of accountability and care was shocking. Everywhere we looked, safety hazards and neglect outweighed any sense of relaxation. The hotel was simply not child-friendly, nor safe for families. For a 5* resort, the basics you would expect such as cleanliness, safety, and respectful service, were absent for the majority of our stay. Overall, this hotel falls far short of its 5* claim. If you are a family with young children and are looking for a safe and comfortable luxury stay, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.

Our stay at the Savoy Le Grand Marrakech was, undoubtedly, the worst hotel stay we've had. As much as it has a "five-star" designation, the experience is nothing short of luxury. The moment we arrived, everything was not going right. The advance group booking that we had confirmed weeks in advance was not ready for us. Rollaway bed requests were completely ignored. The reception staff were constantly nasty, often off-duty, and offered no assistance at check-in or during the rest of our stay. The hotel itself is poorly maintained and unpleasant. The lobby is stifling, the hallways and corridors smelled bad — especially in the Dana Wing near the lifts — and lift carpets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The building is poorly maintained. My room, 1320, was poor. The fridge did not work, the bathroom drains were plugged with hair upon arrival, the toilet broke down the following morning. A so-called luxury hotel. Staff service at restaurants and by pool attendants was also poor. Orders were consistently overlooked, lifeguards lounged around as visitors struggled to deploy umbrellas, and our own property was removed from sunbeds by aggressive visitors who proceeded to racially insult me. Security only intervened after escalation. Noise was constant. Construction occurred right next to occupied rooms, and generated large amounts of noise late into the early morning. We made numerous complaints to the duty managers on site, but they were routinely ignored, brushed aside, or left unresolved. Every issue we raised was met with the same excuse: “We’re preparing for the 2030 World Cup.” Guests deserve proper service now, not excuses On a positive note, two staff members — Mohsin and Ali — were genuinely helpful. They listened to our concerns and assisted wherever they could, standing out in an otherwise disappointing experience. Overall, the Savoy Le Grand is more expensive than it should be, poorly run, not safe, and no five-star deal. Marrakech does have some wonderful hotels, but this is not one of them.

⸻ From arrival, the lack of welcome was glaring — no greeting, no help, no basic hospitality. Check-in requests were ignored, and amenities felt cheap and mismatched. Our first room had a broken safe, faulty toilet, and failing AC, with a view of a rubbish heap. Service was slow or absent at the pool and restaurants, and security only acted after a guest hurled racist abuse. Rules were applied selectively, sunbeds were scarce, and noise from nightclub-goers ruined nights. Even safety was compromised — an automatic door trapped my niece, yet staff denied responsibility. Requests for grouped rooms were ignored, the hotel reeked in places, and staffing was minimal. Excuses about the 2030 World Cup were constant, but irrelevant. This isn’t luxury — it’s an overpriced, poorly run property coasting on a famous name

Savoy Le Grand Marrakech – A Disturbingly Poor Experience for a Supposed 5-Star Hotel I booked multiple rooms at the Savoy Le Grand Marrakech for a family vacation, expecting a true luxury experience due to the “Savoy” name. Unfortunately, my stay has been marred by a long list of operational failures, unsafe conditions, unprofessional staff, and misleading branding. I cannot overstate how far below even a basic five-star standard this property operates. Initial Impressions & Room Conditions • The rooms are spacious, with bathrooms large enough for families, and some feature double sinks. • Refrigerators were frequently non-functional, and air conditioning failed intermittently despite temperatures exceeding 40°C Room 1239 balcony railing is extremely dangerous. I belive if an adult was to lean on it the entire railing will drop. • Basic amenities expected in a five-star property—towels, slippers, bathrobes—were either insufficient or missing. • Standard rooms were assigned balconies overlooking storage areas with discarded furniture, doors, and old chairs, creating a severely unappealing view. There was no effort to conceal this with screens or landscaping. Analysis: A five-star hotel should provide fully operational facilities and a pleasant environment for guests. Large, clean rooms alone do not constitute a five-star standard when functionality and aesthetics are ignored. Safety Failures • Sliding doors at the hotel are extremely unsafe. My daughter was trapped and squashed between the doors when they continued to close despite a clear obstruction. No sensors intervened, and no staff checked on her afterward. Security blamed my family for walking “too slowly,” which is both shocking and unacceptable. There is video evidence which they did not allow me to download and was very aggressive when I asked for it. If there is nothing to hide then there should be nothing to hide right. • the entire pool edges are moldy, liners are coming off, and the surfaces are uneven—creating real injury hazards. • Despite requiring passport details for “security,” the hotel admits it cannot prevent unregistered visitors from entering rooms. This contradicts basic guest safety practices observed in reputable luxury hotels such as Sofitel, Four Seasons, Oberoi and others. Especially with the activities going around Marrakech. Analysis: Guest safety appears to be an non existence. Active hazards combined with dismissive staff behavior demonstrate systemic negligence. Cleanliness & Hygiene • Carpets in the hotel appear worn and rarely cleaned. • Lifts emit unpleasant odors. • Breakfast included fruit infested with fruit flies, raising serious concerns about food hygiene standards. • Towels and linens were insufficient, and bathrooms were not maintained consistently. Analysis: Hygiene standards are critical for luxury properties. Issues like these are unacceptable for even a mid-range hotel, let alone a five-star establishment. Management & Staff Conduct • Security staff are aggressive, sarcastic, and intimidatory, particularly towards women. • The General Manager made condescending remarks to my family regarding the food, implying our children’s health concerns were our fault. • Management repeatedly avoided addressing safety incidents, including my daughter being injured by the sliding doors. • Reception and support staff were insufficient, particularly late at night, leaving only one receptionist to manage the entire property. Analysis: There is a clear culture of evasion, intimidation, and blame-shifting. Staff behavior reflects poor training, poor management oversight, and a lack of accountability. Food & Beverage Issues • Guests are prohibited from bringing outside food, a policy not disclosed during booking or on the website. This became particularly concerning when my children fell ill from the hotel’s own food. The policy is set to gain benefit for the hotel only. They expect you to pay an arm and a leg for a coke which can be bought for 10 x less the amount you'd pay at Savoy Le Grand. If we have already paid to stay at the property we shouldn't be kept prisoners. Then to be insulted and questioned by the duty manager being sarcastic if we finding the hotel food to expensive. No your hotel food made my daughter sick. Very rude and disrespectful. • The breakfast service was unhygienic, the first night i lifed a kiwi and a whole family of fruit flies flew up with it. We ordered a ice coffee never to receive one. After 3 hours of waiting i went and bought a coffee from costa only to be told im not allowed to bring in. The dining space was poorly arranged, leading to restrictions on sunbed use for guests after meals. In my 5 nights of staying here I have never seen more then 20 people for the evening dinner or entertainment which says a lot. Analysis: Policies are inconsistently applied, poorly communicated, and punitive rather than protective. Guest Relations & Racially Abusive Incidents • While at the pool, we were subjected to racially abusive comments from another guest, highlighting the lack of adequate monitoring of guest behavior. • Guests are made to feel unwelcome, unsafe, or blamed for incidents caused by hotel negligence. Analysis: Luxury hotels must actively foster safe and inclusive environments. Savoy Le Grand Marrakech fails to uphold this basic expectation. Facilities & Maintenance • The swimming pool liner around the entire pool is damaged, edges are moldy, and floor surfaces are uneven. • Outdoor seating is poorly planned, restricting sunbed availability despite ample space. • Lifts, carpets, and general hotel interiors appear worn and neglected. It looked like the hotel corridor carpets never get vacuumed • The hotel claims readiness for international events like the World Cup, but the facilities are decades away from that standard for a 5 star hotel. Analysis: The physical infrastructure is deteriorating, and cosmetic repairs cannot mask the operational deficiencies. Misleading Branding & Guest Expectations • The property is not part of the Fairmont-owned Savoy chain, as implied by its branding, and it does not meet equivalent service standards. • Other properties operated by Pickalbatros have previously met higher standards, making this particular hotel an outlier. Analysis: Guests are misled by the Savoy name into expecting premium service, creating disappointment and reputational damage. Family-Friendliness • The hotel is not family-friendly. Unsafe doors, moldy pools and dismissive staff make traveling with children stressful and unsafe. Conclusion The Savoy Le Grand Marrakech represents a serious failure in both hospitality standards and guest safety. From operational neglect to unsafe conditions, unprofessional management, and misleading branding, this hotel is not suitable for families or anyone seeking genuine five-star luxury. I am in the process of contacting the Pickalbatros head office in Egypt and the CEO’s office to escalate these issues. I will also be addressing these issues to the Fairmount and Savoy of London as this hotel is giving them an extremely bad name and reputation. Verdict: Avoid this property entirely if you expect professional, safe, and truly luxurious service.

From the second we arrived, it was clear this so-called “five-star” hotel is a sham. The entrance had no grandeur, no welcome, and no sign of trained staff. Doormen stood around like spectators, offering no greeting, no water, no towels — nothing. In blistering heat, they handed us hot tea. At check-in, we requested rollaway beds — a basic request for any genuine luxury property — and they never arrived. The front doors were propped open, letting in waves of sweltering air and killing any chance of air conditioning working. There’s no signature scent, no ambience, just a stale, dead atmosphere. Even in the rooms, cost-cutting was blatant: towels bore the Savoy logo, but the slippers were from Pickalbatros — another hotel chain entirely. The staff’s attention was disturbingly selective, fawning over French Moroccan guests while others were treated as an afterthought. Room allocation was a fiasco from the start. My parents were immediately moved because their first room was directly next to a room undergoing full-scale construction works. The fact that the hotel even checked them in there shows their utter disregard for guest comfort. And if that wasn’t bad enough, I was later moved into a room where the drilling and hammering were happening right outside my door — not down the corridor, not outside the building, but on my doorstep. From morning until evening, the noise was relentless, making any rest impossible. Our first room (1242) was a catalogue of disgrace: • Broken safe — took over 20 minutes to fix • Toilet broke the next morning • Air conditioning failed overnight • View of a rubbish dump — broken furniture, discarded doors, piles of waste (photographic proof attached). This could be hidden with minimal effort, but management apparently prefers to showcase filth to paying guests. Dining and pool service were equally shambolic. Orders were “forgotten” (my iced coffee never came). Guests had to open their own umbrellas while three lifeguards sat doing nothing. Worse, our belongings were moved from sunbeds by aggressive guests who escalated to racist abuse — calling me a “Paki” — before security finally stepped in. The hypocrisy is staggering. Outside food is banned, yet it’s apparently fine for certain male guests to parade paid companions around the hotel. Women lingering at the entrance were later seen inside with “clients.” The sunbed shortage is a problem the hotel chooses not to solve. Dozens of outdoor restaurant tables sit unused during peak daytime hours while guests fight for loungers. Since most guests eat at their loungers anyway, the obvious solution would be to swap tables for loungers in the day and return them at night. But here, common sense is as absent as good service. The hotel’s proximity to Buda Bar nightclub brings in exactly the type of guests you’d expect. On certain nights, rooms were clearly being booked for single-night escapades, complete with noise and chaos at family-unfriendly hours. We had to call security at 1am due to the racket from the room above. Far more disturbing: my 8-year-old niece and her mother were trapped between the hotel’s automatic doors. Security admitted to having footage but refused to release it. They even blamed us, denying us any incident report. This is not just negligence — it’s dangerous. Despite calling ahead and speaking to Mariam to arrange six rooms together for our group of 16, the hotel ignored our request completely, scattering us across the property. Other disgraceful details: • Only one receptionist and one concierge on duty at night — for the entire hotel. • Overpowering stench of rotting food waste in the Dana Wing that clung to clothes while waiting for the lift. A single air purifier could fix it — but they haven’t bothered. • Dana Wing lift carpets that looked and felt like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. Every time we complained, we were given the same pathetic excuse: “We’re preparing for the 2030 World Cup.” I’m on holiday — I don’t care about your preparations. If you can’t run the hotel properly now, you shouldn’t be taking bookings. This is Pickalbatros pretending to be luxury. Overpriced, poorly run, and trading on a name it doesn’t deserve. Avoid it.

Savoy Le Grand Hotel Marrakech – Luxury? Only in the Brochure Our stay at the Savoy Le Grand Hotel Marrakech was a string of disappointments and unacceptable experiences. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was cold — doormen barely acknowledged us, our rollaway beds never arrived, and the lobby felt lifeless, with ineffective air conditioning and mismatched amenities. The food was inconsistent, poorly prepared, and below basic food safety standards. When I brought outside food for my children, security tried to physically intimidate me rather than address the real issue. Even worse, after I was racially abused by another guest, management treated us as if we might share the blame. Multiple meetings with them led to no real action, only forced smiles when we passed by. Service around the pool and restaurants was chaotic — missing orders, guests opening their own umbrellas, and sunbeds impossible to find while restaurant tables sat empty. Nights were loud due to the nearby Buda Bar, making it far from family-friendly. The worst safety incident? My 8-year-old niece and her mother were trapped between the hotel’s automatic doors. Security saw the footage but refused to share it and still blamed us. The smell of food waste in the Dana Wing and minimal night staff only added to the feeling of neglect. For clarity — this Savoy Le Grand is not part of the prestigious Fairmont chain of Savoy hotels. It is managed by the Pick Albatros Group. I have stayed in other Pick Albatros properties before and never experienced anything close to the poor standards and treatment we faced here. Bottom line: This is not luxury, it’s a cautionary tale. Overpriced, poorly managed, dismissive of serious concerns, and utterly failing to deliver on the Savoy name it uses to pull in guests.

I stayed at the Savoy Le Grand Marrakech expecting a comfortable and enjoyable family holiday, but what I experienced was constant frustration, poor service, and a complete lack of basic hospitality. Endless Waiting for Basic Requests Something as simple as getting water became a daily battle. On one occasion, I ordered water at 2 PM and, after three follow-up calls to housekeeping, finally received a single small bottle at 8 PM. This wasn’t a one-off — every time I asked for towels, they were never delivered unless I called three or four times to remind them. Even basic items like milk for making tea were never stocked in the room; I had to request it every single day. Strict Food Policy with Zero Flexibility The hotel would not allow us to bring any outside food to our room, even for my child. We were stopped in the lobby as if we were smuggling something illegal, simply for carrying McDonald’s or KFC. This level of control over what guests eat in their own rooms was completely unnecessary and felt hostile. Room Allocation Issues We booked through EasyJet three months in advance, specifically requesting that our rooms be together as we were travelling with two young children (aged 8 and 16). Not only did we receive single beds instead of doubles, but the rooms were placed far apart. When I questioned this, the excuse was that the hotel was fully booked — yet in the evenings, it was obvious from the number of dark windows that many rooms were empty. Overall Impression The attitude of several staff members made it feel as though we were staying for free, not paying guests. The service was slow, dismissive, and lacking any sense of care. For the amount of money we paid, this was nowhere near the level of service expected from a so-called five-star hotel. I will never return to Marrakech, and I would strongly advise against staying at the Savoy Le Grand Marrakech if you value good service, flexibility, and basic guest respect.

One of the most beautiful resorts in Marrakech — its rating doesn’t truly reflect the level of enjoyment, exceptional service, and warm hospitality offered to guests. The rooms are modern and spacious, and every service — from housekeeping to guest relations to the pool team — is outstanding. The breakfast buffet is also impressively large, offering a wide variety of both local and international dishes. I was pleasantly surprised with a birthday celebration: my room was beautifully decorated, and I was presented with a birthday cake and a lovely bouquet of flowers. It was truly a remarkable experience, and one I will definitely repeat. My only suggestion would be to introduce some entertainment activities at the pool — it’s spacious and perfectly suited for that.

Extremely Disappointing – Not a 5-Star Experience I stayed at the Savoy Le Grand Hotel in Marrakech with two other adults, and it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I've had – definitely not worthy of its 5-star rating. We specifically requested 3 single beds but were given one double bed to share, which is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, we arrived at 8pm – well after the 3pm check-in time – and our room was still not ready. Service throughout the hotel was poor. We had to call multiple times just to receive basic amenities like water or clean towels. Despite being on a half-board package (where water should be included), they repeatedly tried to charge us for it, and we received conflicting information from different staff members every time we asked. The pool situation was equally frustrating. You're only allowed one towel per guest, which is ridiculous for a hotel that claims to be 5-star. The second pool doesn't even have a towel kiosk, so you have to walk quite a distance in the heat just to get a towel. There also weren't enough sunbeds, and guests were reserving them very early in the morning, making it difficult to find a spot during the day. The rooms and pool areas look tired and in need of refurbishment. The service is disorganized, and staff professionalism is lacking across the board. Overall, this felt more like a 3-star hotel at best. Save yourself the disappointment – this is not a luxury hotel by any standard.

Abdelkarim was absolutely fantastic during breakfast. Warm, welcoming, and always attentive without being intrusive. He made sure everything was perfect — from remembering small preferences to checking in with a genuine smile. His professional yet friendly attitude truly made the morning experience feel special. Thank you for starting the day off right! I also want to mention Kamal at the pool, who was just as incredible. Always helpful, kind, and made sure guests felt comfortable and taken care of. Whether it was towels, sunbed setup, or simply being present with a warm attitude, Kamal made a big difference in how relaxing and enjoyable the poolside felt. Staff like Abdelkarim and Kamal are what truly elevate a hotel stay — thank you both !

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was too frustrating to stay silent about. I arrived at Savoy Le Grand in Marrakech at 11am and was kept waiting for hours—even past the standard 3pm check-in time, my room still wasn’t ready. I had emailed in advance requesting early check-in, but those emails were completely ignored, and when I asked at the Guest Relations desk, the staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. There was no apology, no explanation—just bad attitude. To make matters worse, my friend, who booked a nicer room, was allowed to check in right away while I was left sitting in the lobby for hours. Absolutely no consistency or hospitality. When I finally got to the room, I was even more disappointed. The bed was much smaller than expected, the view was awful, and overall the room just didn’t live up to what you’d expect from a “5-star” hotel. This is not the luxury experience they promise on their website. It’s disorganised, poorly managed, and the staff clearly don’t care about customer service. I won’t be coming back—and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values being treated with respect and basic professionalism.

Amazing house keeping staff Khaula, Khadija and Baker. They were very welcoming and happily doing their job to clean and tide up the room. It was nice to have a short conversation with them. They have taken the extra mile to put flower on the floor and bed and a lovely goose towel for us as a surprise in the room.

An enjoyable first visit to Morocco! Hotel has everything we needed for a long weekend break. Could be even better if the poolside service was reliable! On more than one occasion I had to chase up orders. The breakfast is fantastic but unfortunately the buffet food was not adequately heated. Therefore less enjoyable even though the flavours were pleasant. More of a good 3*/ 4* as some parts looking tired e.g wilted flowers at entrance, damaged to exteriors and the pool lining needs repairs. The hotel was mostly well kept and clean, however some corridor halls and lifts not maintained. Our room was ok, with comfy beds. Disappointingly there was visible water damage to the wooden flooring and the room had a terrible mould and damp smell. We accessed the spa which was ok, found the staff to be less welcoming e.g didn’t check we were ok or explain treatments during the hamamam. I didn’t find the experience relaxing as I had soap in my eyes for the majority of the treatment!! We would come back to Marrakech but maybe try another hotel in the future.

Safety issue and rude and dismissive staff specifically Duty Manager Fouad Ait Ezzahi My friends and I booked this trip to celebrate my 40th birthday from Friday - Sunday, and unfortunately, the experience was far below the standard I would expect from this "so-called 5*" establishment. From the outset, there were issues. Prior to our arrival, I emailed to confirm that our room would accommodate three people and requested an extra bed. Upon checking in, I re-confirmed the presence of a third bed with the reception staff, who assured me it was in the room. However, our room was prepared for only two people, lacking the extra bed, sufficient towels, slippers, and cups etc. This initiated a frustrating series of calls to reception to request the extra bed. Despite repeated assurances, no one arrived for several hours. We had to physically go to reception at approximately 4:00 PM to reiterate our request. Even then, upon our return to the hotel between 10:30 PM and 11:00 PM, the bed had still not been made up. This was incredibly frustrating, as we had been travelling since 3:00 AM and were exhausted, with me feeling unwell. We were forced to call reception yet again before the bed was finally provided. The following afternoon, we spoke with Duty Manager Fouad Ait Azzahi to express our dissatisfaction with the repeated attempts required to secure the correct room setup. He promised to take my contact details and call me back, a call I never received. On the Saturday, we discovered that our room had been cleaned but the toilet paper was not refilled. This necessitated another call to housekeeping, followed by a wait of over an hour before I had to call again. Later that evening, a far more serious incident occurred. My friend wanted to iron her dress for the evening, whilst plugging in the iron, it caused an immediate spark and smoke from the electrical socket. My friend bravely pulled the plug out to prevent a fire, risking electrocution in the process. She sustained a burn to her hand. We immediately called for a duty manager. A different duty manager arrived, and we explained what had happened, showing him the burnt plug. Shockingly, he attempted to plug another device into the clearly damaged socket, which we strongly advised against to prevent further damage or injury. He took a photo and stated he would write a report and speak to the room director. Crucially, he never once inquired about my friend's injured hand, and we felt he did not take the seriousness of the electrical fault seriously. He simply requested a new iron for us. The following morning, we discovered the replacement iron was also faulty. When we attempted to fill it with water, all the water gushed out, creating another potential hazard. Thankfully, it was not plugged in at the time. On Sunday morning, having heard nothing further from management, we went to check out at 11:15 AM as we had lunch reservations. I requested to speak with Fouad Ait Azzahi again. I questioned the lack of communication since Saturday. He attributed this to Eid and the absence of general managers, stating that Sunday morning was his first opportunity to address the matter. His proposed resolution was a late checkout and 30 minutes in the sauna. This offer was completely impractical and too late, as we had already packed and were at reception, ready to leave for our pre-arranged plans. We declined his offer and asked for an alternative solution. We specifically requested at least one night's compensation, given my friend's injury and her quick thinking in preventing a potential fire caused by your faulty equipment. Mr. Ait Azzahi then made us wait for 45 minutes in reception. Upon his return, he delivered a dismissive rejection of our request, stating that the general managers had refused it. He repeatedly stated, "thank you and goodbye," offering no apology for the series of issues we experienced, showing no concern for my friend's hand, or acknowledging the severe fire hazard posed by your iron. When challenged, he became visibly angry, telling us to be quiet as he didn't want other guests to hear. He then incorrectly claimed that the compensation for late check-in was 15% of the price and asserted it was our choice to leave early, completely failing to acknowledge that his offer was inappropriate given our packed bags and existing plans. He refused to provide any contact details for the general manager and seemed solely focused on ushering us away. It is a true shame that despite the hotel's lovely facilities, which I would have considered revisiting with my family, the incredibly poor service, lack of empathy, and absence of a genuine apology have left me with no desire to return. I remain deeply upset by the dismissive manner in which Mr. Ait Azzahi spoke to me, and the utter disregard for the significant safety concern involving the faulty iron and my friend's bravery in preventing a potential fire. I expect a hotel of this caliber to prioritize guest safety and provide satisfactory customer service. This was not the case during my stay.

Honestly the worst hotel i have stayed at ever. Rooms smelt like sewage, staff were rude(except Sukina who was an angel). Little to ZERO care for guests, oftentimes giving attitude when id make a request. Food it dry and god forbid you ask vinegar with your chips - you'll get given olive oil instead and told you should be happy with it. Music is on almost 24/7 so you cant get a good nights sleep or lie in. It was so bad i chose to leave and they wouldnt refund the nights i didnt stay at the hotel. Avoid this hotel at all costs!!

Everything was good, except the Spa facility. Not sure if its private and not owned by Savoy, but i booked a hammam and massage service for some relaxation and quiet time but during the hammam it was super noisy (i know it was the staff talking) and the changerooms did not have any towels or a spa grade shampoo conditioner. It was the same 2in1 bottle as in our room. For the price the Spa was not worth it.

Staff and Service at the hotel were awful. Same thoughts shared with 8 other guests who stayed at the hotel - Right from reception, to the waiters at the dining area. Food came cold, drinks came 30 minutes after ordering, with no apologies, waiters were rolling their eyes at the women in the group when they asked where there beverages and food was. Far from a 5* hotel - would struggle to even rate the service as 2*.

The hotel was not directly inside the walls of the Medina, so the private taxi will charge you more. However after we were done walking around the souks... traditional marketplaces in the Medina, you are sooo overwhelmed and over sensitized that by the time you make the couple minute drive to this hotel and walk past the front street lobby to the gem of the pool, you truly feel transcended. It is quiet and peacefull. You would have no idea there is a shopping plaza right outside the hotel door. A mall that sells really cheap jewelery if you are overwhelmed with bargaining with the marketplace folk. The pool was freezing. My children swam for 5 minutes at a time. The buffet for breakfast was unbelievable, with extremely attentive staff. The dinner buffet was mediocre, especially for the price. The meats were not very tender, at all. Hence, the next day we at a late lunch in the Medina and had a snack for dinner. "Paul" is next door to the hotel for dessert unbelievable french pastries for cheap! The hotel is strangely picky about bringing any outside food into the hotel. They were physically stopping anyone who brought in more than water from the grocery store a few feet away. The music by the pool was always really good and had a good vibe. If the pool was heated they'd make so much money off people drinking near the pool. The beds were fine, but the ac is not stong. We had to request a thin blanket because we couldnt sleep.

I love our stay at Savoy. I used the spa which was awesome. The restaurant was just ok. The service was slow. We waited for 15 minutes and still no waiter came to get our order. I had to get up and looked for someone to attend to us. Breakfast was wonderful. Lots of variety. But staff was just ok. Not too attentive and had to get up to get myself water etc. WiFi is only good at the lobby. Hardly get any wifi in the room. Being in close proximity to the mall and outside restaurants were a plus. We chose this hotel to be closer to the airport before our flight home, and to relax by the pool. We booked 3 rooms. Sadly: the rooms were noisy (not soundproofed), you could hear every word/step in the corridors and in the rooms above us, at night. The bathrooms had bits of hair, loose grouting, dirty light switches and even an old toilet seat screw on the floor! The drinks service was very slow. The check-out is at 12pm but our key cards were disabled at 11:30 so we couldn't shower/pack or change. The long walk back to reception, queueing, loading up a key card, and back to the room took 20mins. At 12:02 they phoned our room warning us we'd be charged if we didn't leave by 12:30!? Staff not interested in the disabled key cards at all. It did not feel like a 5-star hotel...

Hotel is in a great location ... central to many of the areas best restaurants and clubs. Walking distance to many key visiting attractions. Hotel staff overall are amazing however reception staff could do with some retraining on welcoming guests .. were moody and provided mis-leading info and when later questioned backtracked. As many reviews say, whilst the hotel has a modern look, the rooms are very very dated but comfortable. Negatives were both outdoor pools were not heated and hence water was freezing, they have a lovely indoor pool but who wants to be indoors on holiday ? The Spa which is used for marketing the hotel is NOT actually part of the hotel. You have no access in your perks and need to pay for it all, and staff at SPA again were miserable, so i used external spa's for my treatments which were superb. Breakfast is great / fresh and so much variety. Overall, so much potential but compared to other 5 star properties, this feels like a 3 1/2 star at best for key areas lacking attention. Didn't spoil overall trip but some improvements and this could be one of the best.

Sadly the Savoy Le Grand, was not to the standards expected, and I would say far closer to a 3* hotel than a 5* First the positives: Hotel looks great on first appearances, and the check in lady was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good selection of meats/cheeses, fruits, cereals and also cooked food. Pool area looked good and a large pool to swim in (though very cold this time of year as not heated. Amad & colleagues in the Bella Lounge on our last evening were charming and the food was lovely. The Negatives: Service throughout the hotel was VERY slow and often brusque and unwelcoming. We had to ask multiple times on frequent occasions for drinks/service and at one point waited over 30mins for drinks, whilst the pool area wasn't even half full. Room was tired, and the bathroom door wouldn't close as it didn't appear to be the right size?! even slamming it wouldn't close it as it literally was too wide at the top. In the room you aren't provided with robes, only a pair of slippers, and then only one pair, despite being in a room with two of us. Water wasn't replaced on the last night of our stay, and neither was toilet paper. Considering you cannot bring in your own water/alcohol/food this was very poor as we needed the water to brush our teeth! Lastly food and in particular drinks were extremely expensive, down to a medium bottle of water being 70dirham. Location, it wasn't awful, but very little within a 10minute walk, with the exception of the Menara mall but this in itself very limited and without much to offer.

Luxury, authenticity, confidentiality (??), modernity. If you desire any of these qualities, look elsewhere. The hotel’s prime location on a major highway intersection and next to a Burger King, Carrefour Market and Costa Coffee, comfortably positions Savoy Le Grand Hotel Marrakech as Hivernage’s most prestigious and distinguished Motel. The hotel’s sumptuous lobby and the charming aroma of stale cigarettes are where the authenticity begins and ends. Step beyond the lobby and feelings of disappointment of your stay at this ‘5 star’ hotel will quickly ensue. A large tv screen showing the latest European football and sticky beer stained floors at the poolside bar, are convincingly Wetherspoons’ first foray into the Moroccan hospitality industry. Peaceful moments of reflection over a glass of wine or cold Moroccan beer are regularly broken with a card machine thrust under your nose. This sumptuous hotel has strategic, prime, direct access from the pool bar to the Menara Mall, which you thought would satisfy your retail cravings. The word Mall evokes much more than the reality of the 15 minutes it will take you to browse the few shops that are located here, the cheap fake perfume stall and the Dubai Mall Waterfall equivalent we affectionately coined the “Pingu fountain”. Once you’ve exercised your shopaholic cravings, oh and the Google image searches of what the Great Atlas Mountains look like that you thought you were going to see from the hotel, you’ll enjoy the convenient 40 minute walk to the famous, bustling, Jemaa el-Fnaa. This highlight will absolutely not disappoint - unlike the hotel. Vibrant, atmospheric and quintessentially Moroccan, it’s a true sight to behold. After a busy day in the hustle and bustle of the Red City, you will want to return to the desert oasis that is your room. Tired, dirty and disheveled is what you might be feeling, but that’s your room. You might be lucky enough to have sampled several of the hotel’s rooms during your stay and now be staying in the ‘Holiday Camp’ block of newly refurbished rooms where the floors are still grimy with plaster, splattered with paint and wallpaper paste and you have your own private pool each time you flush the toilet. It’s worth noting that guests with a hearing impairment will sleep soundly whilst those with functioning ears should invest in a quality set of ear plugs prior to arrival. The combination of airplanes, building works, ‘that’ neighbour who wants to rearrange their room’s furniture at midnight and traffic, are enough to bring the most stoic of characters to the point of breaking. If you choose to include breakfast for your stay at the hotel, sharpen your elbows, you’ll need it as you’d easily be mistaken for thinking that food is in short supply. Be prepared for a scrum-like encounter for a croissant and a simple request for some milk for your morning cuppa will quickly begin to feel like a scene from Groundhog Day. All set to the music accompaniment of a track from the Titanic movie score played by violins in the background. It’s fair to say I’m not someone who would normally leave a review - choosing to go under the radar and put up and shut up. But, how this hotel has had over 2,000 ‘Excellent’ rated reviews will never cease to amaze me and I feel it important that this commentary goes some way to debunk the ‘marketing’ spiel that potential travellers are being fed by this hotel. This is our ‘lighthearted’ honest take on what we have experienced which has been a spectacularly disappointing hotel stay on a greatly anticipated holiday. So much so that we chose to book the final 2 nights of our holiday at a different truly 5 star hotel. In short, Marrakech is an energetic, vibrant and exciting city filled with stunning hotels far more worthy of your custom. Savoy Le Grand as a 5 star Motel; perhaps. A 5 star hotel as that ‘special’ treat; absolutely not, there’s simply no attention to detail.

Was disappointed with the stay and service atvthis hotel. Booked for a special occasion. Its not as grand as it looks in the pics. Hotel guests were regularly noisy, alotvof partying going on. The noise of anyone in the cirridor, next door, upstairs ir downstairs was really loads. We ate at the restaurant the first late afternoon we got there, waiting well over an hour for our food, wrap and fries and pizza and the bill, cost me nearly £150 for five of us. We ate lunch and dinner out the rest of the time for much less than that for both.

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a very good stay. The hotel is clean with great facilities such as pool/spa and restaurants. Breakfast had many options and was excellent. To get the full 5 starts the service, particularly at breakfast needs to be better. Asked 5 times for tea and water glasses and waited over 15 mins, a minor point but annoying. Overall a great hotel and we will stay here again.

Our four-night stay at this hotel was more than enough. The dining experience was disappointing, largely due to the unfriendly—at times outright rude—staff. For example, there was no warm greeting upon entering the breakfast area, and in most cases, barely any acknowledgment at all. The same applied to the waiters, who seemed disengaged. Even the restaurant managers stood around without interacting with guests, which was a shame—basic courtesy and a smile cost nothing. In the evening, the restaurant staff appeared overworked and lacked clear direction. The service at the pool bar was even worse. Some staff members acted as though serving guests was an inconvenience, making us feel like a bother simply for ordering drinks. Our room was spacious but poorly maintained, with careless decoration, paint splatters, and grimy tiles. A more serious concern was the broken patio door lock, which, being on the ground floor, posed a security risk as it could be opened quite easily from the outside. Even the gym which had excellent equipment was let down by not having and water or workout towels. Overall, this hotel has significant room for improvement to be 5 star.

Lovely big hotel, only 10 mins from the airport. Great facilities, indoor pool was great for the kids, shopping mall next door. Only negative is the breakfast service - there were far too few staff and they were clearly overworked - we waited an age to get anything. It's also a bit school-canteen like, which is poor for a 5 star hotel. Overall, very good - would recommend.

Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. We paid for a 3rd guest and it took them a long time to get us the rollaway bed. Also, an airport shuttle was advertised but unavailable at the hotel and they were arranging taxis which were over-priced for a 10minute drive. We also paid for a comprehensive hammam experience but they definitely didn’t offer us the whole hour and was more basic than advertised. The Wi-Fi is also unreliable. Overall, a nice hotel but has some kinks that should be addressed especially if they’re claiming it’s a 5 star hotel

Small things make a 5 star hotel and this is where Savoy falls down. Tired looking guest rooms, poor room service not emptying bins etc., overpriced drinks, no towels in gym… pool and spa excellent but overall a 3-4 star experience at 5 star prices.

Very old property. For a 5 star hotel it has weird rules, can’t bring outside food and wine into the hotel, you cannot sign for any of the stuff you use during your stay and have to pay off right away, once checked out they give you a special pass to get your luggage. Not bad, but not a 5 star feel.

Luxury hotel. The staff is awesome, the hotel room is clean, housekeeping comes everyday, they knocked on the door in the evening to ask if we needed anything. Worth every dime. I highly recommend it. The Menara Mall is attached to the hotel. You can enter the mall with your room key. A hotel employee is always standing by the mall entrance to open the door for you. The restaurants outside the hotel/mall is delicious. There are several restaurants to choose from, cozy atmosphere and beautiful surroundings with colorful waterfall. You will not regret staying at this beautiful hotel. They will hold your bags for you after checkout and will let you shower when you pick up your bags after a day of excursions on your last day.

Our stay at the Savoy Le Grand was terrific. The hotel is modern and clean, and our spacious and well-appointed room (King Room Prestige). It is a short taxi ride from the airport, and most attractions are within 30-40 minutes walking distance. There are some nice restaurants and cafes around the hotel, which is also attached to a shopping mall

The good: pristine facilities, practically spotless. Great support staff, breakfast was amazing. Rooms very clean. Good music throughout the day. Pool is very relaxing on a sunny day. The bad: if you have a room facing the pool area the music is played fairly loud until 11pm, it can be tough to get to bed if you have an early day. Food and alcohol at the hotel is quite expensive but for a 5-star hotel this is pretty on-par with what I was expecting. The ugly: Booked a room with 2 beds via Expedia 2 months prior. Upon check-in they said the room had 1 bed. When I inquired about the 2 beds (and I even showed them the proof of the booking which stated 2 double beds) they said they didn’t have our room and if I wanted a room with 2 beds I’d have to pay to upgrade. In my past experience other hotels would certainly provide you with that upgrade for free to meet the requirements you paid for. So despite booking a room with 2 beds I had to pay an addition 300MAD per night for the bed accommodations I was already suppose to have. Alcohol from outside the hotel is not allowed unless you pay a hefty fee at the front desk and even then it can’t leave your room, they say it’s for sanitation reasons but even having the option to keep it if you pay clearly means it’s just a money grab. Other than the bed issue at check-in I don’t have much else negative to say. Overall 4/5 stars for my 3-night stay.

The welcome from staff was warm and helpful especially Ahmed. The hotel is in a great location only 15 mins walk from the Medina and la Mamounia and another 5 mins to the main square. There is a small mall next door to the hotel with a good selection of shops and cafes. You can get ice cream, crepes, breakfast, cakes etc. We had breakfast in one which was much cheaper than hotel which charges 300 Dh per person (£25 ish) however having said that the buffet has a great selection. The hotel has 3 pools. One indoor heated pool and two outside pools which are unheated and a bit too cold! One pool is quite lively with music whilst the other is quiet. We had the international buffet one night which had a great selection of food which was delicious. The room was clean and comfortable with tea making facilities and a fridge. All in all a great stay!

I have stayed here a few times but this time was just terrible absolutely diabolical in terms of staff / getting me checked in / the room that was allocated had pure problems from the off the staff attitude was not good I had to get a manger involved ! Then they lied to me as I requested a slightly later check out and I was told they are fully booked then I went online to see they had rooms available on 2 different websites and also on there own website which was just amazing ? As much as I would like to stay here again for convenience people should know that this is just not on being lied to and treated in this way is not fare ! Really bad time here I am just not happy at all

We travelled through Morocco for 9 days before arriving to Savoy. It was an only hotel where we had very cold welcome and we had difficulty getting help with luggage. We had a nice suite, but my daughter’s bed was not ready. It took 3 separate visits of different people and 1.5 hrs to get the bed ready. We had no room service for 2 days at all and day 3 the lady knocked on the door and asked me if we needed anything. The room was cleaned on day 4 but there was only one clean towel left after cleaning when 3 of us returned from the pool. The highlight of the hotel is the location as it’s very walkable with plenty of choices to eat. The breakfast is very nice but again the service is not. If you have to ask for something from staff it takes forever to arrive. The amenities at the hotel are nice but the level of service is not good.

The actual hotel is pretty decent to look at but it falls down in terms of customer service quite a bit. A lot of the basic amenities in the room were missing on our first night e.g toilet paper and slippers and shower gel we called down for them and this seemed to be a recurring thing every time our room was clean the cleaners would never stock up! I went down to the poolside and ordered 2 cafe lattes 4 times and it never arrived Mohammed the staff member with glasses who works outside next to the poolside promised us our drink was on the way 6 times! We waited over an hour before we just ended up leaving because it was was disgusting service the staff are always huddled chatting and laughing rather then paying attention which is a shame. I understand it's a waitressing job and can get quite boring which may need them to talk to each other but this dosent mean you ignore paying guests to indulge in your own conversations I took plenty of pictures of this happening numerous times but waiting in the scorching sun for a drink and not to get it really annoyed me. This extends to the inside services the lifts were drenched with water a few times with no warning which was quite dangerous. For the price you're better off going elsewhere the pool beds are reserved early in the morning and that's the case for the whole day overall comfortable beds but hospitality and basic amenities it lacks completely I wasn't happy when I left because of the service recieved from staff

I had a fight with the Concierge who was more focused in selling tours than helping hotel guests. The television kept turning off but they immediately gave us a new one. The water temperature kept switching from hot to cold and vice versa. There is a spa at the hotel but if you just want to use the jacuzzi you have to pay 25 euros. Bad reservation system : BOTH our separate bookings were made past midnight (my collegue and myself) and after confirmation, it appeared BOTH were booked for the following night. At the front desk, we had to buy our nights again, and no refund were given by the hotel for the ones we lost. It was pretty clear we were not responsible for this post-midnight booking mess. But the hotel redused A refund for a night we didnt use. Honestly, we book at least 70 to 100 nights per year on hotel.com . This never happen, and obviously the issue could have been solved differently by both hotels.com, and the Savoy hotel, which i would have expected a way better service and compensation, Disappointing hotel. Otherwise, rooms are ok. Breakfast is great. Problem solving reaction from desk and booking team: as bad as it can be. Nope. I wont recommend going there for that matter.
