Experience was fantastic. Clean, comfortable, great staff, delicious breakfast. Only issue is people will try to direct you into parking spots or garages. Your vehicle will be safe but its a hustle for money. There is a garage right next to the hotel that is less money. If I'm in Fes again I will definitely be coming back.

We had a fantastic stay at this gem of a Riad. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly and helpful. They kindly arranged our transport, shared lots of information with us and connected us with the best local guide Muhammed, with whom we had the best day! The Riad itself is absolutely gorgeous with so many authentic items framed all around like art pieces, which they absolutely are. The roof terrace with breath taking views, delicious breakfast and unlimited mint tea were such lovely bonuses! A very special thanks to the incredibly brilliant Imane, Yesmina and Muhammed!

During our vacation we traveled through Morocco and stayed in various hotels. The Dar Fes Medina Ziat was by far the best. The staff are very welcoming and heartwarming. Questions are listened to carefully and assistance with arrival or departure was also no problem. Not only the atmosphere of the staff but the entire accomodation makes you feel comfortable and happy to spend time there. The traditional tiles, the inner courtyard and the colorful windows in the rooms are just on of the many highlights.

We really enjoyed our stay! Staff was really kind and helpful! The welcomed us with mint tea and some delicious biscuits and provided us with lot of useful info about Fes! The location is close enough to the city centre and there's Bab Ziat closeby which is a convenient place to be dropped off/picked up by a car! The breakfast was really nice too and our room was quite clean!

Greeted nicely by the husband and wife duo. Very hospitable. After going out, there were a couple of times that the front door was locked and we weren't given the key to open it so had to knock to have someone open it. Breakfast is served on the roof which is nicely set up.

Very nice place that showcases beautiful tile, stucco and wood work. It is cozy and very friendly. The hotel management assists every one with their travels regardless of whether they are in or out of the City. They connected us with a Fes tour guide that walked with us through out the City and he was really good. I would definitely return to this place.

Perfect place to spend your nights in Fes. The Riad is beautiful and the staff go above and beyond to make sure everything about your stay goes well. Mohammed has a great team working for him, they often say to treat the Riad as if it is now your home and that's exactly how it is. Helpful information is avaliable and the dinner we had on our second night in the Riad was brilliant. We decided to book a tour of the medina, this allowed us to understand what we were seeing as we went round and helped us out a lot. Look no further for a place to stay in Fes.

Fantastic guest house in a quiet section of the medina, easily accessible via taxi. A 10min walk to the touristy part of the medina once you get used to finding your way, which is of course part of the adventure. Imane was fantastic and accommodating in arranging airport pickup and guided tours, and was upfront with the costs and setting expectations. She even fixed a small mess up we made with the arrival date, which would have been a big deal in a chain-hotel. Highly recommended for that personalized touch. You get the feeling that the staff really cares for the well being of the guests, which is not something we could say for the our trip to Morocco in general, where you get ripped off at every corner!

Nice fairly new tourist hotel that simulates an old-fashioned "dar" or "house" by including lots of traditional Moroccan woodwork, tile and plaster-work. The "dar" also incorporated traditional Moroccan furnishings and framed, family-collected examples of Moroccan crafts. Very quiet and friendly family-run hotel. The owner sat down to greet me over a mint tea when I arrived. The room was air-conditioned and had free Wi-Fi, but the water was a little on the cold side. Very nice, decorated lounge area on the roof where one can relax and watch the birds flit from rooftop to rooftop to minaret. In the evening, one can hear life in the narrow Medina streets below - passersby conversing, children playing, babies crying, etc. Substantial free breakfast and optional Moroccan-style evening meals available. Staff also helped to arrange professional guides for the Medina and for an excursion to Meknes, Moulay Idriss and Volubilis.

Outstanding - everything about our stay here was great. Mohammad, Imane and the team made such an amazingly genuine effort to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Service like this is very hard to find. And the building is as beautiful as it appears in the photos. My wife and I spent 5 nights here and it served us as a sanctuary in the midst of all the action. The place is beautiful, relaxing and tastefully decorated with local artwork. Location is great as the markets are only minutes away by foot and the Medina gate is just a block away so you can catch a taxi and pop out to the new city should you wish. And should you ever get lost in this city (which you will) its simple enough to jump in a taxi and have them bring you back to the gate as everyone appears to know where it is. A huge thank you to the team for making our stay so wonderful We will definitely be recommending this to our friends and family!

This hotel made our trip. The breakfast each morning was the best we had our whole trip. So good, that we opted to have dinner one of the nights at the hotel. *THE FOOD WAS AMAZING* The service from the team was fantastic. We arranged transport to and from the airport with the hotel. We also arranged for a half day walking tour of Fez. It was really informative. We did get some tours of different workshops and trades areas (which of course comes with a mini pitch from the sales people, but nothing aggressive and they easily took no for an answer). I highly recommend this hotel (and wouldnt even bother to look at other options). If we could do our trip over again, we would have stayed longer in Fez and at this hotel. The location was out of the craziness of the medina, but so close that you still had all the benefit.

I cannot recommend the Dar Fes Medina strongly enough. Mohamed and his family/staff were amazing, the dar was beautifully appointed, and the service was off the charts. If you love breakfasts, this is the place for you. If you love tea (and cookies!), then this place is for you. If you want an excellent, homemade Moroccan dinner, then this place is for you. Simply put, unless you have somewhere that you have been before and that you know you must return to in Fes, you should stay at the Dar Fes Medina--and if you already have a place, you should change it anyhow and stay at the Dar Fes Medina.

We stayed for four nights in early March. Our hosts were extremely welcoming from the moment we arrived. The Dar was beautifully decorated, in a quiet location (but still within walking distances) and had a lovely roof terrace as well. Be warned, Fes can be cold at night at this time of year so take plenty of layers with you!
