Hosts are really warm and great people which make your stay more nicer, room is great and they clean it every day. Breakfast is nice, but the same each day (sweet type), so if you stay more days maybe it is good to go outside for breakfast.

Atmosfera familiare, servi impeccabili.

tasty breakfast every morning - selection of moroccan breads, jams and almond butters. the mint tea was delicious
Cons: the water unexpectedly cut out one morning and the shower wouldn't get hot one day - not major issues but there was no explanation when asked (probably due to the language barrier)

Fantastic breakfast and staff. Room decor is wonderful, feels very authentic.
Cons: The taxi shuttle dropped us off outside the Medina, the main reason to get the shuttle was that we were arriving there late at night and it was our first time visiting and we heard the Riads can be hard to find. For 15€ and a 10 minute ride I was expecting to be dropped right in front, especially at night. It was also incredibly loud at night, hearing the doorbell very clearly from our room , but loudness seems to be normal in Riads.

Outstanding, thank you to all the staff at Riad Couleurs du Sud for your warm yet welcoming hospitality. From instant communications when I booked the Riad, private pick up from Airport & back, very nice friendly welcome on arrival & for making sure my stay was very relaxed & comfortable. Customer Service, Hospitality, Cleanliness all 5 star. The location is perfect, felt safe walking around the area even at night time as a solo traveller. Without any hesitation I would book this Riad again & definitely recommended if you’re looking for the perfect stay in Marrakech.

I loved the location of this Riad, and how central it was to the gate and to other attractions in Marrakech. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and thebproperty was extremely clean and well-maintained. The only thing I would critique is the breakfast, which was included in the stay. It would have been nice if aomw fruit was provided in addition to the bread and pastries (oranges, avocado, bananas etc). Other than that I would recommend this Riad to everyone!

Everyone welcomed us very nicely, provided a shuttle from the airport to the Riad; and when entering the Riad we had Maroccon tea and cookies waiting for us. Our bedroom was in the floor of the breakfast but we didn't feel bothered by that. Actually, could hardly hear other guests - the place was quite nice. The bedroom was big, bathroom too and AC was very needed even in end of October. Riad is 20min walking distance from Medina. Overall our experience was very good, couldn't recommend it more!

Bon service.😊

We really enjoyed our stay at Riad Couleurs du Sud. Our room was clean and spacious. I particularly enjoyed the roof terrace, which had plenty of sun loungers, tables & chairs, and had a welcome breeze in the evenings. Breakfast was tasty and the staff were flexible about serving it early when we had a full day tour and had to leave early. The Riad staff were really helpful and friendly. I was really pleased that I booked this particular Riad and would stay here again.

The room was pretty clean. The breakfast was very good (for a Riad). Unfortunately the shower handle didn’t hold on the wall right so the shower situation was a little underwhelming. The staff barely spoke English but was very nice and helpful. The AC worked perfectly fine.

Much quieter, cooler & liveable as RIADs are meant to be. Good staff & walking distance from the Madina wall exit.
Cons: Heavily priced pre-book cab drivers(10X than local taxis) if you book via RIADs'. SO please book your cab from local taxis Food was way more expensive than restaurants & not much of a variety too.

The breakfast was poor and everyday something was missing such as butter , milk … The staff were not professional at all .

This friendly hotel were very welcoming. I had a taxi booked for both airport journeys. They also helped book some trips. Breakfast was good, although a little too much bread/cake for me (no fruit or salad). I was given a map and told some key places that I should visit in Marrakech . The bedroom and bathroom was made up and cleaned every day. The roof top terrace provided excellent sun bathing opportunities in the afternoon. Would highly recommend for lone travellers and couples.

Super leuke riad. Ontbijt is goed en heel lekker. Personeel vriendelijk.

Really beautiful Riad, so relaxing and quiet. Super clean and all facilities are really good. The images are a true reflection to the Riad, which you must bear in mind when looking. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. If one of them didn’t understand us, there was always someone at the end of the phone or around to help. They are all really helpful, not pushy, they just helped with options available to us and could help book tours. The Riad is really close to a main gate of the old town, so not so far to walk after taxi. It’s tiny bit difficult to find, so make sure you have a map, as you could miss the left hand turn into that street. It’s a little far from the square, but that’s actually for the best, one visit to the square is enough (go at night). There are close calmer places to eat than the square and cheaper. The breakfast was really good too, nice and fresh, so don’t miss that. A lovely peaceful roof terrace, plenty of comfy seating in and out of shade. If I return to Marrakech, I would 100% stay here. It’s just so peaceful and relaxing and the staff and really welcoming!!

Very authentic Moroccan stay, room was very comfortable, silent and could be very dark for the night. It was being cleaned daily and they changed towel every day. The terrace was very nice and quiet, the home made breakfast was delicious. Staff were very friendly. Regarding the location, is feet walking distance to the main points in town. Following the Google maps is not hard to find it.

It was our third time at this Riad, which is usually awesome. And the staff is very kind.
Cons: There was a problem with the hot water only in our room. Basically we had only hot water on the first day. The staff kept telling us that when we return from our walk, we would have hot water. But it was never solved. After 24 hours, they recognized that they would not be able to solve it and proposed a solution (shower in a next door Riad, but which did not match, by far, the quality of our accommodation). We did not accept and booked a different Riad. We were readily refunded. Although the staff could not solve the problem (weekend and Ramadan), and tried to find solutions, our third time in this Riad ended up being disappointing.

The moment the front door opened, this Riad is amazing. From the mint tea during check in, home baked breakfast, fresh squeezed orange juice, darling decor and private comfortable room. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Staying here was a pleasure and a wonderful retreat from the noisy, bustling streets of the Medina and souk. Every morning, little song birds would sing as we woke up with our coffee and breakfast in the courtyard. Highly recommend.

The hotel is homely. It doesn’t have an elevator but is very beautiful Moroccan decor. Roof top patio and a small pool in the lobby. Workers were amazing.

Beautiful riad, amazing terrace. Good rooms and bathroom. Greeted with a delicious tea and some nice biscuits. Wonderful staff. We were able to leave our bags at the riad, past our check out, so we could explore the city more and not have to lug our things around before our train departure.
Cons: Breakfast was okay, the bed was hard and uncomfortable. Also it was advertised as a Queen but it was in fact a full-size. Not big enough for a couple.

The stay was really nice and the staff very helpful. The Riad is a bit further away from the centre of Medina, but I actually find it as a plus, as it was a bit more quiet. Overall really recommended.

Cons: the location might not be the best, since it is a murky street but this didn’t affect the inside at all!

The rooms were a great size.
Cons: English wasn't well spoken so we had a lot of confusion at breakfast. The area was really horrible, it felt unsafe, dirty, dodgy, we were accosted by young lads.

Food at the Riad was excellent. Had a beautiful rooftop patio we used especially after sunset. The location wasn’t bad. Easy to access via cab because it was close to the edge of the Medina, but somewhat far away from the action of the souks and the central plaza.

Only problem we had was with checking in, but it was during the Covid-19 outbreak and they had closed this Riad due to cancellations. Luckily the owner had other Riads nearby and we were sent to a room in one of them, where we had an excellent stay. Breakfast was really good too, and staff very helpful.

Service was friendly and nice, rooms clean and breakfast was good too. Place itself a little hard to find but we were able to get there quickly with a help from local guy from the Medina.

We absolutely loved our time at this Riad! greeted us with mint tea even though our flight was very delayed and we didn’t arrive until 1:45 am arrival. Carried up our luggage, cleaned rooms every night, cooks in kitchen were marvelous and when asked what the spices were to cook tangine, they allowed me into their kitchen to watch them make it. Clean kitchen, clean facilities. The manager met us at the gate upon arrival to assure security at 1:45 am. The hospitality was AMAZING. The breakfast was traditional and cooked in house by Moroccan women with SKILLS. Included fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, milk, crepes, another pancake like breakfast item, pound cakes, jam and cheese similar to baby bell cheese. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND! Thank you Hassan, Mustafia, Souad & Imane! We will definitely return. Ps: only 15 minute walk from Jardín Marjorelle (great garden, def worth the trip).

The riad looks nice. Good breakfast, hot water, A/C in the room etc. However the service was not that great. It started with an incident and a lesson on arrival: the riad is close to Bab Yacout gate and after our driver left us we (four people) started walking following Google Maps (which helps a lot in the Medina, despite what some people might say). A youngster (early 20s?) asked me, very friendly, where I was from, if it was my first time in Marrakesh and where was my riad. Telling him that was a big mistake. Three other youngsters attached themselves to my party and followed as if to give directions, which I didn't need. I did pass the entrance by about 20 feet, my google maps showed me that and when I turned all four jumped with "helpful" directions. We arrived in front of the door surrounded by these four touts and I ringed the bell. It took 1-2 long minutes for the hostess to open and meanwhile one of the touts extracted 20 dinars ($2) for his "help". I thought this was way more than what he deserved. However all four became verbally extremely aggressive and after we entered the riad even more so. Well, the lady held the door wide open, allowing them to yell at me for a few minutes demanding $3-4 for each of them four! Threatening to call the police didn't help. Only after my strong insistence she closed the door. Was she on the side of the touts or what? Separately, I had to ask for blanket (my bed had none) and soap a few times before getting any.

The Riad was so beautiful but the best part was the staff. They were so kind, sweet, and hospitable they really made us feel at home. They helped us out on where to go and how to get there. It was our first time in Marrakech and we loved every minute of it! I totally recommend this Riad and for this price you can’t go wrong!

Really a very special place to stay in. You are made to feel so welcome the moment you walk in the door, and nothing is too much trouble. I stayed in the Topaz room and I loved it: warm and restful colours, comfortable bed, elegantly tiled bathroom and plenty of storage space. Breakfast is the same every day but it's generous and tasty. Location-wise you're about 10 minutes walk form the Jardin Majorelle and about 25 minutes from the Koutoubia Mosque at the other end of the medina. Loved it here and would definitely return.

Riad Couleurs du Sud was a great place to stay with the only problem for us being that it is a bit far from all of the action on the Medina. The Riad itself was lovely, the room was comfortable, the staff were really helpful and friendly and breakfast was great. It is a bit of walk into the souks and squares and it's not the most pleasant walk either. There are plenty of taxis readily available at the end of the street, however, so as long as you're happy to take a taxi or walk it's perfect.

A lovely stay - thank you to Hassan for help finding the Riad on my first day, and getting me safely on my way in a cab on the last day. Pleasant and calm accommodations in the otherwise bustling old city, close to many sights and one of the gates.

I just wrote a review that the hotels.com site failed to submit and then erased, so this will be short. It's a lovely riad, kind staff, good wi-fi, nice breakfast. Bathroom was a bit cold in winter, but they knew this and provided a space heater. Would definitely recommend!

This truly is a beautiful riad and the staff really look after you, as soon as you enter the riad you are in tranquil surroundings, a peaceful place to relax, up on the rooftop is amazing in the evening and waking up to the sound of birds singing every morning is lovely, it is very clean and the staff are lovely people always there to help if needed.Once you step outside the riad though the madness of Marrakech hits you, the beggars constantly asking for money, taxi drivers following you asking if you need a taxi anywhere, I found it a very scary place, you are just never left alone, we got ripped off by a taxi driver who said one amount then at the end of the journey charged more,at the market a woman grabbed my teenage daughters arm and starting putting henna on it without even asking, we said no to her and rubbed off the henna, it is a shame I wanted to love marrakesh but came away never wanting to go back.I cannot fault the riad it was lovely but Marrakesh as a place I didn't like.
