One of the best places to stay. Abdo and the team created an amazing atmosphere in the hotel. Spa was great experience. Abdul and Gris could not do enough; anything from providing electrical adapters, escorting you to/from the taxi or helping in securing a restaurant booking. They are brilliant, friendly and professional.

Breakfast was excellent; all staff were very friendly, very helpful and it seemed nothing was too much trouble for them.
Cons: A rooftop pool would have been nice but we were aware this wasn’t the case at this Riad. There is a small pool in the courtyard but this is never in the sun, which may be a positive for some.

Pros: Good service. Riad staff picked us up and dropped us to the roads for pickup service.Great breakfast. Packed up take away breakfast on our tour days. Clean but small room and a clean riad. Room cleaning was great. Google map works for navigation within Medina. Cons: Location within Medina we didn't like. Too many alleys. Price for food is definitely for tourists. We didn't eat there except breakfast.

Correspondence before booking was excellent and transfers were arranged easily. We had a super ‘induction’ when we arrived, given a map and details of things to see/ do as well as a tour of the riad. The riad is beautiful. A real oasis of calm with lots of places set up for guests to relax. We also had a Hammam in the spa which is small but perfectly formed. Breakfast was amazing. Great selection brought to the table every morning. All staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: This didn’t bother me… but is more of a warning. The call to prayer from the local mosque is loud and likely to disturb sleep, but this is likely the same everywhere in Marrakech.

Riad Sapphire and Spa Located away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina in one of the side streets. A lovely way to experience local hospitality. A nice, very clean and spacious environment, with great staff at all levels who were always ready to please. Fantastic for lone female travellers where personal security is made a priority. The inclusive breakfast is really substantial and even though a small establishment, freshly cooked lunch and delicious evening meals are available to order. The luxury of an in-house Hammam and Massage facility meant I did not have to travel far to experience some self indulgence. My thanks to Driss and his team for making my stay here a safe and pleasant one 🙏 Highly recommended!

Cons: The only issue was that both rooms allocated to us were on different floors hence difficult to manage as family.

Stayed 6 nights at the Riad for our Marrakech trip; no regret at all as location is convenient; near the popular pick-up point for all tours/trips arranged. Riad is cosy with a roof terrace & pool. One can really experience what a riad is. Drizz is really helpful and provide very comprehensive information about the areas/attractions. A very gentle and courteous gentleman that you could hardly encounter at service industry these days. Abdo has been helpful while Drizz was not around also. Breakfast served everyday; of which were healthy and rich. Lady staff are cheerful and courteous; always extend assistance whenever needed. Highly recommended for any tourist to Marrakech ! p.s. Drizz was very sick when we checked out; hope he could recover swiftly. Regards/Sarah

What a beautiful riad! I stayed in Riad Sapphire with my husband for two nights! We were warmly welcomed by mint tea and traditional sweets. Mr Abd Allah showed us the map and chatted to us about how to get around! He was very kind and professional young lad! The staff were part of the highlight of this stay Mr Abd Allah, his colleague and the ladies of the riad ( khadeeja and saadea) were absolutely amazing. The breakfast was scrumptious and had something different every day. Eggs are cooked to liking! I felt spoiled and pampered to be honest. I appreciate cleanliness in my stays and I can tell you that this riad is spotless clean! Location is very good 20 mins from Madina! The area is reasonably safe but you have to be aware of the motorcycles while walking in the small alleyways ( a problem you will face everywhere is Marrakesh)! This riad is a peace of heaven! Stay there and you won’t regret it!
Cons: We booked the junior suite which turned out to be quite small and facing the courtyard where people have their food and sit therefore it can be quite noisy! Saying all this our stay was absolutely beautiful the only thing is I would do different is to book a room upstairs next time!

We stayed for five nights in this wonderful Riad, situation in the Old Medina. From being met at the airport, and escorted then to the Riad by Abdo the assistant Manager, we cannot express how exceptional the staff, service, eye to detail and genuine desire to make our stay memorable was. We booked a Superior Suite, with a seating area, very comfortable bed, and extremely quiet, after the manic traffic and noise in the Souks. Breakfast was include, with a daily selection of home made pastries and fruit all served in the Riads Court Yard or on the roof terrace. Abdo, arranged a private tour for us to the Atlas Mountains, a full day with amazing guides, and local driver. Not to be missed. A truly great stay, and we can't wait to return. Thank You to all the staff, amazing service.

It was a beautiful oasis. There were several areas to rest and relax, including the comfortable rooftop. The decor was minimalistic and classic, and the rooms (we had two) were both spacious and clean. Perfect to come back to after long days in the souks and on excursions. The dinners were wonderful. The meals were artistically served, and comparable to a three star restaurant. The service was friendly. They helped us book an excursion to Atlas within half an hour when our previously booked excursion was a no-show. They laundered and ironed our clothing, provided tea whenever we needed it, and provided detailed instructions to navigate the maze that is Marrakesh.
Cons: My only complaint is that noise travels easily in the space. But in four evenings, I was only bothered once.

A great breakfast that varied each day. Plenty of food including fresh fruit, breads, yoghurt and either eggs or pastries or something else.
Cons: Our room was spacious but it wasn't massive given that it was described as a suite but I could tell this in advance from the photos and so wasn't surprised. It did have windows on both sides and was nice and cool.

A lovely riad which offered the perfect base for Marrakech. The room was great (upstairs is better than downstairs level) & there is a charming roof terrace where breakfast can be served. The food was excellent & different each day & Driss & staff couldn't have done more. Lovely toiletries & fresh towels each day. A nice gift left for a birthday. A trip to desert & camel riding was great fun €70 pp Inc dinner +show good value.
Cons: No complaints at all. However it is at the edge of the medina, so you have to walk a good 20 mins to Jemaa al Fnaa so if you have mobility issues just to be aware.

Everything clean and staff very friendly. Breakfast very good. Rose petals everywhere and clean towels every day.
Cons: Very far from centre. We were put into a room on the ground floor with no outside window even though we had booked a junior suite and then had to pay 20€ per night extra to move to a room upstairs with a window overlooking the patio. Food, apart from the breakfast, was expensive and not great quality. Lamb tagine was very tough, unlike all other places where we ate it. Small pool with cold water.

Very happy with our stay at Sapphire Riad, the property itself is lovely. Quiet, clean and an oasis of calm after the chaos of the Medina. No more than 25 minutes by taxi from the airport and at the north west side of the Medina, within walking distance to all the major sights but we did get a taxi back to the Riad from the Fnar square on one occasion as it was very hot. Taxis are cheap-if you haggle! We were greeted by the wonderful Abdo who served us Mint tea and delicious cake on arrival and throughout our stay was always on hand, along with his colleague, to assist in any way he could, including ringing a local restaurant to book a reservation. Nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was lovely and spacious with a walk-in shower and very efficient air-con, there is a small plunge pool and several delightful quiet public areas to sit and also a roof top terrace to sit in the sun if preferable. Breakfast was particularly impressive, beautifully presented with a huge array of delicious savoury and sweet items which varied everyday (the chocolate cake was particularly good!) all served by the delightful staff. We would not hesitate to stay at this Riad again and highly recommend

Abdo and his staff were amazing. They greet you at the taxi stand and walk you 4 minutes through the maze to the Riad. It was so authentic though. The Riad is beautiful and well maintained. The staff at Riad Sapphire are charming and friendly. They arranged excursions for us into the Atlas Mountains and to a country club, and advised on interesting places to visit in Marrakech. They couldn't have been more helpful. A delicious breakfast is served in the cool courtyard, and an excellent dinner on the roof (although you need to pre-order it). I used the hammam at the Riad which was a very good experience.
Cons: The Riad is hard to find on your own, but you soon remember the way. It's best to book the transfer from the airport via the Riad. Their driver will drop you off at a parking area a few minutes walk from the Riad, but a member of staff will meet you and guide you to the Riad. On arrival, you are welcomed with a mint tea in the courtyard.

The Riad was beautiful, clean and tidy. We stayed in a Junior Suite and there was more than enough room for us both. It felt very safe and comfortable. The rooftop was also very well kept. We also had massages and dinner in the Riad, both which were great and reasonably priced. Nothing is too much for the brilliant staff at this Riad. Honestly I cannot recommend them enough!

The breakfast was excellent and varied every day. The staff went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, to advice us on things to do and to see. They provide also delicious dinners if ordered in the morning, served on the rooftop terrace. We also used the in-house hammam and spa facilities.

The staff at the Riad were exceptional. Friendly, helpful and knew everything about the city. Driss and Abdo arranged taxis, trips out, told you the best places to visit. Restaurants and cafes to go to. The food at the Sapphire was superb and every morning there was a variety for breakfast. Perfect mint tea and the most delicious Tagine! As for the chocolate cake............yum! All the staff made our holiday break completely stress free!

This riad is an undiscovered gem of Marrakech. The hosts were extremely hospitable and accommodating. All other staff were just as lovely, always greeting guests with a smile and regularly asking if they could help us with anything. I have never experienced such hospitality. The rooms are lovely and clean with brilliant amenities. We loved sitting on the terrace every evening and enjoying some snacks. The breakfast was amazing! There were different dishes everyday which all tasted amazing. They had a really good variety of drinks everyday accompanied by different fruit bowls. Followed with an egg dish, a type of baked good or pancake style dish with a range of toppings. We are very excited to return and hope to stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Riad Sapphire & Spa. Its location was not too far from main roads (easy to travel to other parts of Marrakech), it was very clean and most importantly, Abdo and the staff were exceedingly hospitable and lovely. Location: On a side street in the north of the Medina about 10mins walk from the main square. Rooms: shabby chic look but air con not working so check before it’s too late to get it fixed. You hear some noise from the outside if you leave the windows open. Baggage: recommend getting the hotel to meet you at the parking area as the hotel is hard to find amongst the twisting small streets Breakfast: Superb and generous including great coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Staff: Helpful and smiley. Their French is better than their Englisho

An excellent riad, calm and quiet, in a great location. Abdo and Driis who run it are both very helpful, with well organised airport transfers, directions around Marrakech etc. The riad is absolutely clean throughout, very well cared for by them and the other staff. We had the delicious breakfast on the roof space/terrace where you can also relax in the shade with a cold drink. The hour massage in the spa room was excellent.

The riad was beautiful. We chose the transfer offered and were met at the airport. The riad is not accessible by car, it's a 5 minute walk through narrow walkways, but we were met at the drop off by Driss, acting manager, and welcomed with tea and cake. He then offered to walk us back to familiarise ourselves with the route, which was very helpful. The roof terrace in the riad was lovely and we used it every day, Driss would regularly pop up to check if we needed drinks. The staff were all lovely, the lady who served breakfast (so sorry but I can't spell her name) was so lovely despite us not speaking her language. She was so courteous and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It was our first trip to marrakech and the neighbourhood at first takes a bit of getting used to, but everyone was very friendly. Our first evening we ate at the restaurant just 2 minutes away, which Driss organised for us. Abdo, the manager, was on holiday but came back the day before we left and he was also very helpful and friendly. We loved everything about the riad. Thank you for a lovely week.
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like. If I was looking for something to dislike, maybe a few drawers would be an advantage, but there is plenty of hanging/shelf storage.

The decor and location was good. The staff including Driss and the female staff were great. Very helpful and very attentive. The breakfast was fantastic, we didn't try any other meals during our stay as we ate out.
Cons: The only issues we had was the location, although it was good with a 15min walk to jma Al fnaa square, it was surrounded by overeager males that try to swindle you for money. We specifically told them that we didn't need help walking to our riad, which was only 4mins from where the taxi stop, but they still followed us and made us pay them just to leave us alone. I had my 4m infant, 2yr old daughter and husband with me and felt unsafe for the very first time despite having travelled the world with my family. It was fine on the other days as we learned not to even make eye contact with these people and just to keep walking and they leave you be. This wasn't the riads fault to be fair, just the location was very opportunistic for these males. The issue I had with the riad is that the pool isn't child friendly, my 2yr old daughter unfortunately fell into the pool within 5mins of getting into the riad. Luckily Driss pulled her out and it was our fault for not even considering that she might wander towards it. My daughter is very well behaved and it did look like very clear water so she probably assumed it was a continuation of the floor. There were other families there, and other riads also have pools so it could have happened anywhere. However, I do feel like there should be some sort of vigilance and pre warning before we even got inside that the pool is directly on the side of the dining area and to keep kids away. I think because we were flustered from the harassment by the males, we forgot that there is a pool directly inside. Either way, despite a bad first day, we enjoyed the remainder of our stay at this riad. In future, however, I would consider a hotel as there was no TV and we had to request a bin for the nappies. The bed was a little hard also and the bathroom dated. But otherwise the service was great from Driss and his staff.

The Riad staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We felt extremely well taken care of. It was a pleasure to stay there. It is also an experience to stay in a Riad compared to Hotel. After the initial surprise to get there from the Taxi drop off at Sidi Ben Slimane (ask them to pick you up - best option or, if you are a seasoned traveler follow the sign to Dar Zellij, ask along the way, then just before take a left then 25m or so is a foot with the name plate) the Medina becomes familiar to you and people start recognizing you and are dry kind. Do not try to find your way from the other side - really tough. Again, the staff is very helpful and will guide you whenever you need it. Breakfast really good and they vary the menu ever day. The ambiance is welcoming and nice.Good smell as well. The bed we had was very comfortable and we slept well until late every morning. In summary, we can recommend the place whole heartedly and point out the staff as exceptional.

Their breakfast was incredible. They really. make you feel special with smiles all around
Cons: The area outside the Riad is small streets with a handful local people just waiting for you to get lost if you are back late to make a few small quick bucks. That could sometimes feel annoying. Just ignore them. You get used to it and you realise it happens everywhere in Marrakesh. I never felt unsafe, just annoyed. Note it is a small minority of lazy people that try this, most of the locals walking around just ignore you.

This place is amazing. The staff are simply wonderful Abdo and Drise were both amazingly helpful, so nice. This was the perfect type of support where the staff were there, super helpful but not over bearing. The room was lovely and the roof terrace was fantastic. The breakfast was very good and was stunning to have this on the terrace. We enjoyed this property so much and would recommend it to anyone.
Cons: The property is fantastic and I can only give this a 10/10. The area it is in is great in some ways as it’s a bit quieter but it doesn’t feel great walking at night there and it is not accessible by car. We went for dinner early to avoid walking at night.

I had the most amazing stay at the Riad Sapphire. I am so grateful for Abdo and the rest of the staff. The breakfast every morning was amazing! A wonderful and memorable experience. my daughter continues to talk about it, especially "la gentillesse" of all the staff who were very helpful, with professional approach to what hospitality really means. the Berber breakfast was beautiful! r However, the location is not where I expected to be. The taxi cannot take you to the door of the riad. You will need to walk for 5 minutes through small and narrow streets, typical of that area . If you are arriving there at night time ,phone the manager and he will meet with you and take you there. He came and helped us. believe me it is better than 5 star hotel(small, with quality of service, in quiet in friendly area ,noise -free and very relaxing ) ,Special thanks to all.

What a find! A beautiful riad in the perfect location to explore this amazing city. The hospitality of all the staff ensured that we had a wonderful week exploring and discovering the delights of the city and the Atlas Mountains. From the moment we were collected we knew we were going to enjoy our first trip to Marrakech. The riad‘a kitchen produced a delicious range of traditional Moroccan dishes; the breakfast certainly set us up for the day! Our room was delightful as were the sitting areas, both in the cool courtyard area and the roof terrace, with everywhere exceptionally clean. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Marrakech I can definitely recommend the Riad Sapphire.

Overall, our stay at the Riad Sapphire was fine. However, there were a few things that I need to point out: as travelers WiFi is extremely important and the signal for our room was non-existent. This was very frustrating and made researching restaurants, etc challenging. Our room was very narrow and had low ceilings, unlike our friends who had much larger rooms, and always felt damp like after showers and never circulated throughout our stay, even with the windows open. Speaking of windows, one of ours (on the first floor) didn’t lock. So there’s that. Location was ok; it was near enough to where taxis congregate, but also is not in a great part of town. So coming and going to the Riad you had to be alert. Service was good and we enjoyed the breakfast.

My first stay at a "riad". Each room (our group had 3) was tasteful and had what was necessary. It isn't a super-high-end experience, but the rooms are fine. Importantly, the A/C worked fine. The riad staff was pleasant, though the main host wasn't over-the-top helpful, as I have read/heard about other riads. That said, it wouldn't stop me from recommending a stay there.

Surprisingly quite room given the noise from motor scooters outside. Our room was small with only about 1 ft. clearance on one side and on the end of the bed. However, I looked at some other rooms and they were larger, so it would be good to specify one on the 2nd floor. Didn't try the spa. Very good breakfast!

We were made to feel welcome by Asma, Redouane and the rest of the staff here right from the start. Very clean, delicious breakfasts, very comfortable common spaces to hang. Only thing is our bed was a little too firm. Car can not access the front door of Riad so you will need to walk about 5 min for car pickups but staff are willing to assist with luggage although they we didn’t need that. We would certainly come back.

+ Nice and friendly staff + Good Location for trips in the City + Fresh orange Juice + by chosing this Riad you just dive into marrakech original experience - breakfast was okay - the rooftop was not very inviting - carpet not cleaned - poorly soundproofed (e.g. you hear prayer in the morning, you hear when your neighboor takes a shower - but might be normal for marrakech riads)

Pros: - Very attentive staff - Relatively new hotel/riad - Dinner for 11 was great - Wifi was not super fast nor super slow - Girls liked that there was a blow dryer - Shower water was hot - Bed was comfortable - AC was available - Umbrellas for when it rained - Lounge area had books, magazines, and board games - Rose petals everywhere upon check in to room - Breakfast was simple yet good, fresh OJ, fruit bread with coffee/tea, pastries, cheese. Cons - About 3-5 min walk to taxi drop off point - About 5-10 min walk to square if through Medina, 10-15 if main roads Other - did not evaluate spa services -

Riad is modern and clean; breakfast selection is great. Abdul was excellent in helping us with all our queries, we were very lucky to have him on duty when we arrived. The riad is located deep in the Medina and so getting in on our own on the first few days was tricky. There were many locals, both young and old who were very eager to bring us to the riad, even when we say no. They can be very pushy and persistent which can be intimidating.

You'd be hard pressed to find better a better accommodating group. Atmosphere: relaxing; rooms and bathrooms: really comfortable and clean; breakfast was very good with a slight variation every morning; staff: what sets this place apart is the friendly and clear communication from the staff. I strongly recommend this place to stay in a place like Marrakech. The only reason why its not received my 5 stars is because, objectively, the Medina generally has very few young kids who try to send you in the wrong direction and want money for sending you back on your right path. Google Maps really helped make sure we had no issues and we did not encounter any difficulties. If you are reading about going into the Medina, you have to expect an element of locals looking at you because, you, like them look, walk and dress differently. The Riad offer a mobile phone (refundable deposit payable) which allows those guests who prefer to call an escort to/from the Riad, which we made use of on day 1, and not again after as we really felt comfortable. As long as you're happy to stay in the Medina, I totally recommend this gem.

Beautiful property with white marble and silver accents. Very airy and open feel. The luxury suite was spacious with a chaise lounge and two chairs with small table, in addition to a large king-sized bed. The bathroom is all concrete with a lovely shower but not bathtub. Breakfast was good with fruit, yogurt, and breads with jams. Dinner was exceptional with 3-courses of your choice (no alcohol served at the hotel). The location within the riad was okay but not ideal. It is difficult to find and takes 30+ minutes to walk to the main square. There is not much right around the riad. The hotel was very relaxing-looking but loud. When in the hotel room, we could hear loud doors slamming, hotel staff discussing/arguing things, phones ringing. There is basically no sound-proofing in the rooms. The pool is very small and not heated. The rooftop terrace is okay but not as charming in person as it appears in photos. I would recommend this property to a friend as "good" but I would personally try a new place if returning to Marrakesh.

It is a nice place to stay, however it is quite 'intimate' and not suitable for individuals with mobility issues. The breakfast was really good!

Great Riad. don't let the 5 min walk put you off. Asma the owner/manager? was fantastic as were all her staff. Breakfast was brilliant. Overall a great place in a great location.

Lovely stay with Riad Saphire, Asma & her team are excellent and the service was impeccable and of a 5* hotel. The location is a short walk from the Souks & Square however must be noted that it cannot be accessed by taxi so you have to get ot and then walk for 2 minutes. Be wary of guys offering to show you where to go and carrying your bags, they don't work for the Riad and will want compensation for their efforts. I must way it ws helpful as it can be triky to find the first time. The Riad is away from the hustle & bustle and a peice of serenty in a crazy city. The riad was beautiful and has a lovley rooftop terrace where we had breakfast every morning. Nothing was too much trouble and breakfast was different (and yummy) every day. Just check out the instagram photos. The only thing to say is that you can hear everything when in your room so if people are sat in the court yard eating breakfast or chating in the evening you can hear that. We stayed in the Ebony room with the overlooking balcony and was very lovley!

Clean functional rooms with a great roof terrace. The food and hamman/massage is definitely recommended . The staff are very friendly however the night staff and owners/management were ineffective at dealing with disruptive guests who persisted into the early hours of the morning. The owners did email to apologise however effective management would have been more appreciative, or some form of compensation for the disruption?

Our stay at the Riad was perfect. Communication prior to our arrival was great and we were able to book a spa package upon arrival. We did the hammam + 60 minute massage which was detoxifying, relaxing and rejuvenating. The room was clean and the service professional. We were also greeted with tea and cake and a overview of the city and hotel. Parking is by Larousse bus stop. Don’t let a local “guide” you to the hotel, you can find it with the directions provided or by calling ahead and getting an escort. The rooftop deck was comfortable. The room was nice with rose petals on the bed and in the restroom. The service overall was great and our experience was very much enjoyable. I would recommend this to any and all visiting Marrakech.

Friendly staff, although the manager can often seem a bit distant. The riad is located in the medina, about a 20-25 minute walk from Jemaa el-fna. I actually preferred this as it was away from the general chaos of the souks. There is a rooftop which is nice, and the rooms were clean and well appointed. I cannot point to anything that sets this riad apart from the many others available. It is perfectly adequate and if the location suits you, a good choice.

This Riad is a nice and beautiful hotel with a boutique feeling. A clean property with a high standard of service. Breakfast was filling and varied with a few local twists to add to the local experience. The staff were very good and provided a high level of service. Abdullah and Salah, in particular, were excellent hosts.

Very pleasant stay in Riad Sapphire. This location is around a 15 minute walk from the main Jema el Fnaa square. It is a very clean and homely Riad but make sure you write your directions down as it is a bit of a maze to get to especially the first time. Taxis cannot drop you straight outside due to its narrow streets. Bed was comfortable and Breakfast is excellent and the rooms are cleaned to a very good standard. Wifi connection was good in the room but not in the courtyard. Salah and Abdou very helpful with answering any questions.

We stayed for a week, was my birthday and our anniversary. Our days was very relaxing and quiet, the riad is a very smooth and relaxing days, the staff are incredible they made the effort to make us feel home. The riad is only 15min walking from the medina and 5min walking from some places to buy some food/taxi stop. The food at the Riad is really nice, you can taste some nice and fresh tagine. Was a nice experience.

good value for the money, but poor location as it is deep within a souk with much construction around it (however this may change with time). not as central to the main square (~15 min walk) and maybe difficult to find at times (will need to take a taxi to the main parking lot and walk about 4 mins to the riad through dark alleys). this can be a pro as it allows you to experience "living in the souks" and potentially wandering around a very historical way of life. the riad itself is clean and nicely remodeled in a more modern style. staff is pleasant and accommodating, though they do not accept USD for any sorts of payments (have euros, MAD, or credit card).

Perfect little tucked away riad in the medina. Our check-in process was super easy, staff was more than helpful in recommending places to eat as well as how to get around. The riad itself was beautiful, breakfast was excellent!

The riad is a beautiful building offering clean comfortable rooms. Our room was on the ground floor looking onto the second courtyard. It was surprisingly quite quiet considering the hustle & bustle of the surrounding area. It was beautifully prepared with rose petals everywhere, bathrobes, slippers & lovely glass toiletries bottles. The staff were super friendly & helpful, and we managed to book in for a couples Hammam & a massage after. The breakfast was really lovely & changed each day. The rooftop offered another beautiful communal area to relax. We arrived at night, and booked the airport transfer via the riad, which was great & stress free. The taxi can’t take you to to the front door so you have to walk the last few minutes through a uneven cobbles. They can arrange a porter for your luggage if you need it. So glad we stayed here!

This is a peaceful haven away from the noise of the main square. The staff were all so lovely.. it felt like they wanted to make your stay as perfect as possible. The rooms were made up every day to a very high standard.. there was always someone available to help with advice, making a pot of mint tea, or just for a friendly chat. Breakfast on the roof terrace was wonderful.. and no one else was there! Breakfast was the best I've had anywhere.. and can be served late so you can have a lie in. The staff are what make this riad so special..genuine, helpful and friendly

The riad is a 4 to 5 block walk to taxi drop off point, which we had to carry our luggage, there was no trolley as Riad manager said would be waiting for us. The power went out every morning and every night. The staff was very courteous and good was good. We was very uncomfortable there, so we took early flight out

Really friendly staff from the start to the end and very accommodating. The only thing is the sound echos and when people are loud, you can hear everything. So make sure to pack ear plugs if you are a light sleeper!

My sister and I decided very last minute to visit Marrakech on a whim! We had some difficulty booking a reasonable hotel on short notice but were luckily able to snag a room at Riad Sapphire. We were welcomed with delicious mint tea and pastries upon arrival. The staff were very helpful and extremely accomodating. We appreciated that the manager took time to carefully explain the map of the Medina. We stayed in the junior suite which was immaculately clean and spacious for 2. Breakfast was delicious and check out was quick and simple. The only negative thing that I can think of is the distance from the main square. It is about a 30 min walk which isn’t too bad (there’s lots to see), but can be a little unsettling at nighttime. We were so sad we were only able to book for one day.

Great staff, very warm. All cooked was amazing. But horrible surrounding, wouldn't recommend only because of the location and the alleys. No signs around. More than a few confusing turns even using Google maps

We couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome or a more comfortable stay at Riad Sapphire. The amazing staff made us feel that nothing was too much trouble, everywhere was spotlessly clean (and I'm fussy!) and breakfast was a wonderful feast which was slighlty different each day. Can't recommend highly enough, absolutley first class.

Had a great stay at the Riad Sapphire. The hotel is very well located, in the old town, right next to the main square. At times, it was a bit tricky to find our way back, specially in the evenings so always good to have a good map with you. We loved the rooftop floor :) Staff is really friendly and helpful. And the city is as lively as you would expect. And hot! Would love to comeback. Definitely recommend.

The first red flag was raised when the hotel quoted an absurd price for a private transport to Casablanca- a trip that we had made four days prior for 300 riads cheaper. I negotiated the price down to what we had paid prior, but it seemed to me that the staff didn't really care what was in the best interest of its clients- I chose to overlook this. The riad is set deep within a seedier part of Marrakech (a part where I, even a female accompanied by my male partner didn't feel safe). The hotel sent a riad employee to meet us and then had a separate person take our bags, we tipped each- and when we sat down with one of the riad owners at check-in she informed us in an incredibly condescending and rude manner that we had undertipped and that we needed to immediately pay the riad back for the difference they paid on our behalf. The room was small and sparsely appointed and underwhelming, but we were too tired and set out to find dinner. When we returned to go to sleep we noticed that not only was the metal on the bed frame bowing so badly that the middle of the mattress was almost sagged down to the floor, the springs in the mattress were also digging into our backs. Had it not been so late and the area so seedy, we would have gladly given up the money on this place and looked for a place to spend the night- it was THAT bad. When we checked out the following day they collected money for bottles of water brought to our room by staff and couldn't pay by card, not told before.

We stayed at the Riad for one night (about 10 hours) on our return from the Sahara. The Riad is very well appointed, very clean and has the air of a great boutique hotel. We were met on our very late checkin which was very unexpected but nice and went straight to bed. Bathroom was lovely and breakfast was superb Only niggle is we paid for airport transport which the night guardian didn't seem to know anything about and said it would be there once he checked 25 minutes after the agreed time the previous evening. I said this was not good enough so he then came back a second time he took us to a nearby "cream" taxi which was not what we expected or paid for!

Everyone at the property was very friendly and helpful, giving warm but unobtrusive service throughout. The breakfast was outstanding, both for the quality of the food and the lovely terrace setting to enjoy it on. The airport shuttle was definitely worth paying for as the property could be a little hard to find for those not initiated into the labyrinthine streets of Marrakech, especially as the final few streets can only be navigated on foot. The room was clean and had modern amenities although the mattress had a slope/sink in the centre. On our final day we had a hammam in the riad which was a great experience. We left feeling wonderfully clean and relaxed - our only regret being that we hadn't ordered dinner at the riad that evening so that we could stay in our state of tranquility and cleanliness away from the noise and pollution of the city! Overall a great place to stay - superb staff, nicely appointed and a good location from which to explore Marrakech

Great small hotel. In an authentic Moroccan house. Rooms are very clean and have a lot of space while service is 5 stars. The British and Moroccan crew is doing anything they can to make your stay comfortable and nice. I will certainly come back!

I had booked a luxury suite from hotels.com,unfortunately I received an email from hotel management that suite is already booked and they offered me 2 rooms one for 2 nights which was OK, and the other which was for 3 nights that was a tiny room with a bathtub which was very high for me to get onto ..so don't know who to blame hotel.com or the hotel.though they did give me a free massage for the inconvenience, but I would rather pay more and stay comfortably.
