The medina and the harbour is about 12-15 mins walk. Next to the building there was a very nice Italian Restaurant (Gusto) what is highly recommended.
Cons: Our rooms were on the 3rd floor. There were no lifts, so every time we had to climb up 49 really high steps. Our rooms didn't look like what you can see on the first 8-10 photos. They were much worse conditions. The neighbourhood was very dirty with some homeless people.

Pod hotelem przepyszny lokal La Crevette ze świeżymi seafood w dobrej cenie i przepysznym jedzeniem. Chwilę obok na bulwarze koniecznie świeży sok z trzciny cukrowej z granatem, lub cytryną i imbirem. Blisko do medyny, blisko do plaży na której może mieć camels trip lub horse trip. Non stop oceanu szum w mieszkaniu.
Cons: dziwne rozłożenie gniazdek, brak w sypialni przy samym łóżku, prysznic mogłby być lepszy, nie najtańszy plastik oraz w tej ładnej łazience aż się prosi o funkcję deszczownicy w prysznicu. Dodatkowo w tej cenie apartamentu tak jak słuchawkę prysznica możnaby wymienić na lepszą, tak samo deskę toalety wymienić bo była z nieładną czarną plamą. Dodatkowy ręcznik na podłogę był tylko 1 dobę, kolejne doby już brakowało, szkoda zachlapywać łazienke prysznicem, przydałby się ten 1 dodatkowy ręczniczek, ale to drobnostka.

Соотношение цена/качество, отличное месторасположение, не в Медине, но 10-15 минут пешком до нее. Вечерами шум улицы не мешал уснуть. Рядом серф школы, магазин с алкоголем (кому актуально)) и конечно пляж. На него открывается отличный вид с террасы на крыше. Терраса большая, там классно заниматься утром под шум океана и крики чаек). Сами апартаменты очень просторные, мы были вчетвером, но была еще пятая кровать. Санузел один, напор воды хороший. Чисто, но были муравьи на полу на плитке у входной двери (кто их не любит, и просто убирайте все съедобное в холодильник). Девушки каждое утро моют террасу и подъезд. Посуды много, можно самим готовить. Не было стиральной машинки, возможно можно спросить у хозяев, где и как постирать, на террасе были сушилки. Ремонт немного подуставший, нет шкафов. Но в целом нам очень понравилось, хотим вернуться снова.

Die Wohnung ist sauber und es wird jeden Tag gereinigt. Täglich werden neue Dusch- und Strandhandtücher ausgegeben. Das Appartement ist schlicht eingerichtet und verfügt über einen kleinen Balkon. Die Betten sind bequem. Das Bad ist in die Jahre gekommen. Der Empfang ist den ganzen Tag über besetzt, das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man fühlt sich in der Wohnung sowie im Viertel sicher. Das Highlight der Wohnung ist die bepflanzte Gemeinschafts- Dachterrasse von der man einen wunderschönen Blick auf die gesamte Bucht hat und den Sonnenuntergang sehen kann. Die Lage ist ausgesprochen gut. Das Haus liegt nur eine Straße von der Strandpromenade entfernt. Nebenan sind ein super Surfshop sowie mehrere Kioske. Imbisse und Restaurants sind zahlreich in unmittelbarer Nähe vorhanden. In die Innenstadt und zum Hafen geht man über die schöne Strandpromenade ca 15 Minuten.
Cons: Als störend haben wir den riechenden Abfluss im Bad empfunden. Auch das Schlafzimmer roch leicht muffig. Mit ausreichend Lüftung aber gut zu verkraften.

El apartamento está bien equipado por si quieres cocinar. La vista desde la terraza es estupenda. Limpian todos los días, lo que es muy de agradecer. Está a 3 minutos de la Playa y a 10 mn de la Medina en un agradable paseo por el lado del mar.
Cons: Hay un descampado con mucha basura justo al lado y muchas veces hay indigentes rebuscando entre los restos. Si llegas de noche puede dar un poco de miedo, pero nunca nos pasó nada. Forma parte de viajar a Marruecos cruzarte con la pobreza. En la zona encontrarás pequeños supermercados, lugares donde comer y bancos donde sacar o cambiar dinero.

Cons: Junto al hotel hay undescampado qiue se utiliza de vertedero. Muy sucio. Hay homless que busvam entre la basura y, aunque no hay sensación de peligro, la imagen e y el olor no son nada agradables. El cuarto de baño tenía un gran olor a cañerías.

I came to Essasouria for 8 days to kite surf, the apartment is in a perfect location next to the kite surfing beach, its quiet, and cleaned daily and towels changed every day. The owner was very helpful and friendly, I can definitely recommend this apartment.

The cleaning ladies changed my towels every day, emptied my trash and cleared my bathroom for excess water and grit. They were flexible on my checking in before 2pm. Staff were all friendly.
Cons: At check-in, the receptionist didn’t speak any English and wasn’t wearing any uniform. No dress code, so identifying who actually worked there was unclear. Reception didn’t speak any English, and I had to use Google translate. Not reassuring at all! I expressed that I had a reservation and the receptionist wasn’t even aware that I had paid on Booking.com already IN FULL. When I told him I had already paid, his response and reaction implied that I did not pay even before him conferring with his colleague. He was about to charge me a second time. After the receptionist told me that I am not allowed to have ANY company at all, which was not mentioned during the on Booking.com. Is this even legal?! It was an awkward stay because my colleagues who came for the Berklee College program in partnership with The Gnaoua Festival organization would wait for me down the street from my residence. It’s not normal depressing and isolating. I would NEVER recommend this to single travelers, just couples and families. Lastly, there is an empty lot full of trash DIRECTLY NEXT the front entrance to Residence Louzani. Two huge dumpsters are there and homeless people that congregate burn plastic. The smell would constantly fill my rooms. Opening the windows was not pleasant!!

We loved our 12 night stay here! The apartment was spacious, well lit and comfortable. Our room had 2 balconies. The staff greeted us every time we left the building and returned. They were always available for assistance and to answer our questions. The cleaning staff was amazing! The location was one block from the beach and near lots of restaurants, convenience stores and even a laundry service nearby. The medina was within walking distance. We would stay here again!!!

The service provided by the cleaning ladies. The fact of being close to the beach and the Medina, the size of the apartment.
Cons: In terms of confort, there is a big difference between the apartment for two people where I stayed for one week and the apartment for 4 people that I rented for two weeks later. This last one didn’t have comfortable beds to sleep on. The apartment lacked of a single comfortable chair for eating. All the chairs around the kitchen counter and dining table were extremely high, making impossible for all us to eat properly. The apartment didn’t provide us with enough kitchen utensils for cooking and eating, and the quality of them was poor which was a completely different situation from the first one I rented for myself. The Internet was also erratic, and most of the time we need to go out for connection.

Cleaning in this property is unique, it is like its trademark. Every day a team of efficient girls get into your room and clean everything including walls, windows and doors. They also change your bed and towels and make sure you are not short of toilet paper and bath and kitchen supplies. The property also has 24 hours of vigilance to ensure that you are safe and well served. The presence of the manager is also in the property every day to help with what ever you need. The property is located on the second line of the beach and surrounded by cafes, restaurants, bakeries and pharmacy. In a very short time and enjoyable walk along the beach you reach the old town (Medina).
Cons: In spite of the great physical location, the property is beside the disposal of garbage for residential and commercial purposes, which attract dozens of pigeons to the site and make noises day and night. The collection of the garbage by the municipality at late hours of the night and very early morning is also a source of noise for those who would love to sleep with the windows open for fresh air.

Great place! Two rooms and a kitchen. Clean, minimalistic decoration, nice view, friendly staff, fast troubleshooting when a plumbing problem occurred. Great roof terrace with ocean view upstairs for common use. If we are ever in Essouira again, we will. no doubt, choose this place again! Nice and calm, far from the tourist crowds close to the medina, but still in the middle of the city near the beach. Nice restaurants close by and a patisserie around the corner with the most delicious cakes! It is also just 10 minutes walk from the Supratours bus stop.

Cons: The WiFi was really poor. It was OK in the kitchen but would not work in the bedroom. It kept cutting out. The balcony was really tiny, not much use for anything. The apartment does not really have any outdoor space. The roof terrace would have been much better if it had more sun loungers. It only has three and they must be shared by everybody in the building, so if there is another couple and they get them first you loose out ! The roof terrace is also outside the apartment and up stairs which makes it inconvenient to use. The apartment was rather run down and the bathroom had a shower screen that was broken and a mirror that was loosing its silver. The kitchen was reasonably kitted out but things were old and nothing could be put away so it did not look good.

Beautiful apartment in a prime location of Essaouira only a minute walk from the main beach. We were 3 people and there was plenty of space for all of us. The beds were very comfy. The apartment was spotless and cleaned daily. The terrace on the roof is stunning with chairs, tables and lounge beds. We watched the most epic sunset from there. Lots of fast food restaurants in the neighbourhood but there are better quality restaurants in the old town.
Cons: The kitchen is great but there weren't many utensils for cooking a proper meal. It would be nice to have the basic ingredients such as oil and salt to make quick breakfasts etc.

The location was perfect. Close to the beach and 10min walk from the medina. There were a lot of restaurants and shops on the same street. It was very clean and daily towels were provided for personal use as well as for the beach. They had a roof top terrace that was quiet and had a great view. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Cleaning was a must and done daily which was nice. There was free parking.

Cons: Shame the private balconies attached to the rooms are too small to use for anything at all. I like a private balcony to sit out on.

Property is immaculate and cleaners come everyday. There was 4 cleaners attending our apartment everyday. The location fantastic right near cafe/restaurant , patisserie and supermarket and surf shops and pharmacy. This place is perfect for families or couples and singles. There is no lift only stairs to the apartment. The staff are helpful and friendly. Lovely terrace with views of the beach. The apartment is crossroad from beach and kids playarea where you can skateboard, skate, cycle, play football or basketball and a surf shop to hire with restaurants and cafes on the beachfront and bars/clubs 10 minute walk away. Highly recommend Panoramique and Beach & Friends and Beach Vagabond and camels and horse riding on the beach.

Residence Louzani was the perfect place to stay for me and my big group of 11 friends on our recent visit to Essaouira. It is located a short walk to the old city along the coast and has everything a traveler might need right downstairs (corner store, restaurants, bakery, etc.) The apartments were very spacious and well equipped with everything we needed and more. Plus, the staff was just wonderful! So kind and helpful. The cherry on top of this wonderful place is the communal rooftop with an unobstructed view of the sea and the old city. It was spectacular at sunset, with the sun setting over the water! I won’t look for anywhere else to stay on my next trip. I’ll come straight to Louzani!!

I found the staff to be extremely helpful and courteous. The whole building was spotless and the apartment was cleaned every day. Essaouira is very beautiful. The beach is fabulous and the the Medina is amazing. I look forward to visiting there again next year. I will also be choosing to stay at The Louzani apartments.

Cons: One small but for us important thing. There is only one plug socket and light on one side of the double bed. It would be helpful if , for example an extension lead and lamp were provided on the other side of the bed so we each have a reading light.

Cons: When we arrived, Zakaria the hotel manager seemed polite. After traveling for hours and recovering from the flu, my girlfriend and I were looking forward to resting as long as we wanted. We slept in until construction started around 8am. An hour later, the incessant knocking at the door started. We’re careful about opening doors for random strangers. Naturally, we asked who it was. No one replied. I then asked if it was room service, no reply either. This happened a few times with no replies. As we were getting ready to leave for lunch, someone angrily banged on the door. Upon asking, Zakaria answered. When I opened the door, he aggressively asked “how many times do they have to knock??” I pieced together that earlier knocks were from the cleaning ladies, so I told him no one answered. He replied that the cleaners can’t speak English. That’s fine, but I told him about not feeling comfortable opening doors to strangers who don’t identify themselves, and that we were very sick from flu and we needed rest. He asked “what do you mean, rest?” He didn’t listen and went off on a rant about hotel policy for daily mandatory cleaning, and “where do you think you are?? This isn’t America! This is a village!” I told him he could just message us, or just schedule a cleaning time beforehand with us. But nope, he ignored anything I said. He kept raising his voice with me and when I became frustrated, he told me, “what? Do you want to fight me?” I was so dumbfounded I was being challenged to a morning fist fight by a hotel manager. I explained to him I won’t fight him, and asked him to send cleaning ladies in since we were leaving for lunch. No doubt Zakaria will refute this review. Just know he’s a liar. And think about this to yourself: would you rather spend $70 a night and have your vacation time in Essaouira ruined by a hostile hotel manager, or would you rather pick from an abundance of other hotel choices without threat of violence?

This is a spacious, clean, breezy apartment. It has a well-set-up kitchen, a nice view of the ocean and a great rooftop. The apartment was cleaned daily. It is across the road from the beach and an easy walk to the medina.

The apartment is very nice and spacious and was very clean when we arrived. Also the man at the reception was really kind to us and helped us with parking and the luggage. The apartment is 3 minutes away from the beach and 15 minutes away from the Medina of Essaouira. All in all it was very pleasant stay.

Ok price, wouldn’t want to pay more though, nice shared roof terrace with views to the sea. Clean and comfortable.
Cons: The location is fine for a night or two, road was very badly littered particularly on the first day, but saw a street cleaner the next day. Shower was good and powerful but needs to be adjusted to lower down on the wall, it’s so high up it doesn’t touch you so you need to hold it while using, doors on the shower are really hard to open and close. Lock on balcony door was broken and didn’t lock, only noticed when we were going to bed, if we’d stayed longer I would have wanted that sorted asap. All in all ok, and fine for a one night stay.

Nice location, just 10-15 min to Medina, 2 min to the beach, several food option on the street. The apartment is clean, kitchen is well equipped, the personnel is easily reachable and very helpful.

The property is away from the main central area, but nearby are several small shops for fruit etc, an excellent cheap and cheerful fish restaurant, a small but well stocked wine and spirits shop and several cafes.
Cons: One small problem was there was only 1 bedside light. We had stayed there before, so took our own rechargeable lamp. It would be useful for other visitors to have lamps at both sides of the bed.

Cons: I cannot possibly recommend Résidence Louzani. Unlike most short-term apartment rentals, where privacy and weekly cleaning is the norm, Louzani’s nosy manager lives in the building and monitors tenants closely – he watches every move. It’s creepy! He DEMANDS ENTRY for cleaning, whether you want it or not. Before I had been in the apartment for a full day, cleaners knocked on my door – no “do not disturb” sign. When I declined – needing privacy to recover from a difficult trip - the owner entered my apartment - uninvited - and yelled and screamed at me about keeping his apartments CLEAN. It was frightening! I asked for a refund and offered to vacate – a refund was refused. I was told to “get out” and insulted by an insinuation that I intended to do something improper in the apartment! A mature, responsible woman, this disrespectful treatment was offensive. I had reoccurring trouble unlocking the front door – the key didn’t work. It was terrifying feeling locked out. The apartment is freezing early morning and late night, with zero heat and cold marble floors. A space heater arrived a few days before my departure. Electrical outlets are inconveniently placed, the bathroom is dark and tiny, the makeshift kitchen is awkward, cooking smells permeate the building, and cable TV is a joke. The view was of other buildings – not the beach. I booked based on good reviews, which baffle me now? It’s time for the truth. This apartment is overpriced. Staying at Résidence Louzani felt like being in prison! The experience makes me hesitant to ever pay in advance or believe reviews.

We loved our stay here and would definitely come back next time we're in Essaouira. Amazing rooftop with seating and loungers and a spectacular view of the beach. No better place to watch the sunset! The apartment was spacious with great natural lighting, well equipped kitchen with coffee maker, blender, full size fridge etc, and a comfy bed. If you're working during your stay, the wifi was 85 d/l and 47 u/l speed in both our room and on the rooftop terrace - so you won't have any trouble with video calls. It's about a 10 min beachfront walk to the medina, and 15 min walk to the Carrefour supermarket (or 8 dirham each way in a taxi). There is a beer & wine store on the same street, plus cafes, food options, and a convenience store on the same block. The manager lives on site, so if you have any questions or problems, they can be quickly attended to. Staff were all lovely, and rooms are cleaned + fresh towels every day. A great find all round and perfect if you're a nomad or remote worker :)

Great location. Parking in front of the accommodation. Someone from the staff is always available. The owner is super friendly and always ready to help. A beautiful terrace at the top of the building with a beautiful view of the sea and the old part of the city. Beach towels are also available. Medina nearby - you can walk everything.

The apartment is big, confortable and has a view to the sea! From the small terrace in the bedroom and the window in the living room we could see and hear the sea 100 mts away! Gorgeous! The terrace in the rooftop is also amazing. It has like bar tables watching directly to the beach. Best rooftop in town and it was all for ourselves!
Cons: Nothing. We had to walk 10 mins from the bus stop that was close to the Medina, so that was all the walking we had to do to go back and forth to the old part of town.

It is an appart'hotel at 1 minute from the beach and 10 minutes from the medina. It is very well equipped for independent living. It is very clean. The cleaning staff comes once a day. The owner Zakaria is very nice. He gave us some good tips and let us know that downstairs there is a shop that sells beers and wine (essential for any European who goes on holiday). The very strong point of the hotel is the upstairs terrace. It is very windy in Essaouira and lounging on the beach quickly turns into a nightmare (sand in the mouth, towel flying off etc.). So, on the terrace we enjoy the deckchairs with less wind. There is a very nice view of the sea where you can enjoy a beer in the evening.
Cons: At 20-30 meters from the hotel there is a wasteland with a lot of rubbish and garbage. I reassure you that you don't smell anything from the hotel.

Everything about the apartment. It was spacious, comfortable, had sea views from the rooms and from a very large terrace on the roof, was 40 metres from an official bottle-shop and just a 2-minute walk to the promenade and beach. Plus a big bonus for us (as vegetarians) was a large well-equipped kitchen with fridge. And the on-site owners were very friendly and helpful and did a great job looking after all the apartments in this small block

My friend and I made our last stop in Essouira to conclude our 3 week birthday vacation. We were pleasantly surprised by how welcoming our host Zachariah was(my apologies if I spelled that wrong). The residence was beautiful and walking distance from everything..ie the beach, Medina, restaurants, bus depots etc. The terrace of the hotel had the most amazing view. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting essouira, as well I would stay here again.

Initially the manager did not have my hotels.com booking. It took a phone call to hotels.com for the booking to be confirmed and then honoured. The main thing I didn't like about the place were the numerous cats that n and around the building - stank of cats. We also didn't have a balcony in our room on the first floor , which ended up being ok as Essaouira is such a cold windy place that we couldn't actually use the rooftop terrace anyway. Otherwise it was a lovely apartment with crisp white sheets & fluffy thick towels, daily room service , about 15 minutes stroll along the beach promenade to the medina & port. There was plenty of crockery & pans to allow us to cook at home & dishwashing liquid & scourer to clean them with. The manager gave us lots of information about where to eat etc. & there was an information booklet with a very helpful map of the beachfront & medina.

Residence Louzani was the perfect place for us! The rooms were bright and spacious, we had a sea view which was lovely to wake up to, they were cleaned everyday to a spotless condition. The roof terrace was large and relaxing with an open sea view just across the street. The owner Zakaria was kind, welcoming and very helpful, such a lovely man. A short walk from the medina, port and all the restaurants you could ask for. Essouria is a beautiful place and Louzani is the place to stay!
