I had an exceptional stay at this beautiful riad in Fes! The decor is immaculate, showcasing stunning Moroccan craftsmanship with artisanal furniture that gave the room a warm, authentic charm. My air-conditioned room was incredibly comfortable, perfectly blending traditional style with modern convenience. The ladies at the front desk were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful touch, offering a delicious start to the day. Highly recommend this riad for an unforgettable experience in Fes!

This riad was the highlight of our trip across Spain and Morocco. The wonderful management checked in with us ahead of our stay, arranged a local tour of the Medina (with Amine, who was terrific) and came out to meet us when we arrived and got a little lost. Everything about our stay was perfect, from the amazing decor to the high pressure shower to the delicious breakfast. Stay here if you can!

The service was truly outstanding. We were contacted the day before our arrival. And they told us where to park. We also got great tips for our stay in Fes. Breakfast was really good and plentyful. Great hospitality and conviniently located. We also got a private tour which was excellent

The riad is beautiful, everything is new and very clean. There are thoughtful touches everywhere. The location is great, right in the heart of the medina. The breakfast is delicious, a typical Moroccan breakfast, super complete and freshly made. The two ladies at the reception are lovely and super attentive. Since it was our first time in Fez, they recommended the best places and helped us find a good guide to visit the old medina. We would definitely come back, and we will.

This Riad is lovely. Far superior to other Riads we have stayed in. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing and the staff warm and friendly. The building inside is beautiful and has recently had a 12 bed extension with a small swimming pool. A truly delightful experience.

Fine hotel but basically a Bed and Breakfast (aka RIAD). Host was overly nice. Room was a Double (2) Person. This was the smallest room I have ever overnighted in. AC worked well. Staff were very nice. I liked the hotel only not happy with the room type we choose. UBER SMALL. I would advice a larger room type. Hotel is at edge of Medina so cars can pull up and would recommend this hotel with a larger room type.

Wonderful Riad at the edge of the Medina, making for easy and direct drive-up. Beautifully appointed with a lot of charm and character, and collected vintage textiles and art pieces on display. Very clean and comfortable. Owner was present throughout the stay, checking in with guests. Staff were friendly, accommodating and happy to book taxis or tours on your behalf for good prices. Highly recommend for style, comfort and proximity to Medina but with convenience

Our stay at Riad Mazar was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the intricate beauty of Moroccan craftsmanship. The detailed hand-carved plaster designs on the walls, the stunning ceilings in both the resting rooms and common areas, and the vibrant tile columns and walls created an ambiance that was both authentic and luxurious. The gentle sound of fountains throughout the property added to the serene atmosphere, making it a perfect retreat after exploring the bustling medina. The accommodations were exceptionally comfortable, providing us with restful nights and a true sense of Moroccan hospitality. The staff was attentive and welcoming, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was seamless. Breakfasts were delightful, featuring a variety of local delicacies that we looked forward to each morning. If we return to Morocco, Riad Mazar will undoubtedly be our choice of stay. It was the highlight of our trip from a visual standpoint and offered an immersive experience into the rich culture of Fes. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic and memorable stay.

The best customer service I have ever received! And STUNNING location! The staff has been BEYOND friendly and helpful! They give authentic, local recommendations for the best places to eat, shop and visit. They booked us private tours and rides from reputable services for much cheaper than anything we could have found ourselves (despite trying and wasting hours doing our own research). The value of this knowledge can not be understated- they are SO helpful! Other great aspects: The free breakfast is so yummy and filling, and there is a non-stop stream of the best mint tea! Each member of the staff is so friendly and always available to help. The rooms are big and beautiful and clean and have everything you could need. The AC is helpful. The riad looks like it could be a castle, there is so much art and attention to detail, it is so beautiful and has so many spots to take photos. Could do an entire photoshoot here! (My photos do NOT do the beauty justice- it is much prettier in person! The atmosphere is incredible and stunning and calming. The place is super clean too. Also, the location is PERFECT! 5 minute walk from the blue gate without feeling like in a touristy area- it could not get any better!

This was by far the best Riad we stayed in our entire 2 week trip. Siham went above and beyond helping us sort out our tours and change bookings. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. My uncle has mobility issues so it was nice that the taxi could drop us off right at the door. Once you enter it is a stunning work of art for decor. Don’t forget to check out the new part with the pool! It is a short walk to the blue gate and once you sort one the Medina it’s even shorter coming in the back way. I would give this Riad 10 stars if I could and wish we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful place to stay in Fes. Staff is very friendly, nice. Very clean, beds are comfortable. Breakfast traditional, big portions and very tasty. A lot of common space to rest, we were very lucky to stay in those common rooms until mid of the night as we had to be at the airport in the night. The location is very close to places of interest. Really recommend.

We had the pleasure of staying at Riad Mazar Fes during our journey through Morocco, and it was, without a doubt, the highlight of our trip. Out of the ten hotels we experienced, Riad Mazar stood out as the best. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s warmth and attentiveness made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to cater to our needs, ensuring our stay was comfortable and memorable. One of the standout moments was when they arranged an exceptional tour guide for us. His storytelling and insights felt like we were exploring the city with a knowledgeable uncle, adding a personal touch to our adventure. The room itself was lovely and impeccably clean, with charming details that made us feel right at home. Each morning, we woke up to a delicious breakfast that set the tone for the day—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. If you’re looking for a place that offers genuine hospitality, comfort, and a true taste of Moroccan warmth, Riad Mazar Fes is it. 5 stars from us!

We arrived and were treated so nicely. The front desk lady was so sweet and arranged for us to have a tour of fes and made sure we had breakfast before our tour. We have stayed in multiple riads throughout Morocco and this is far and above the best one. Not only is the physical space magnificent but the staff literally treat guests like royalty. My partner and I have traveled all over the world and neither of us has ever been treated so well. Furthermore, the dinner was phenomenal and is probably the best food we've had in Morocco w/ absolutely massive portions that look like something from Man vs. Food. If you travel to the amazing city of Fes, you'd be making a mistake not to lodge here. I promise you will love it!

The Riad is breaking, shows the time and dedication it goes into by the owner and the craftsmen that worked it. Siham provided us with excellent service, helping out with a couple of tours and transfer pick ups, along with information about the places to visit. They were very accommodating, serving our breakfast earlier because of our tour to Chefchaouen. My only suggestion is to have a couple of suitcase stands.

This was a last-minute change of accommodation on our tour as the whole group could not be accommodated in the one riad. We arrived late in the evening and truly felt like we were a bother to the staff. A rather basic riad although central to the medina. The beds are firm and the bathroom is average. No bottled water is provided so come prepared. Stayed 2 nights but never felt welcome by the staff.

In a lifetime of traveling, this was a truly standout experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and makes you feel transported to a magical time. The service is next level. Siham and the rest of the staff care deeply about their city and your experience and will connect you with the absolute best guides (with a discount). Hussaini knows the city better than anyone and will show you the religious sites and you will feel like old friends with the local craftsman that you meet like him. There are many amazing options outside the city, but if you want to see the beauty of the Middle Atlas Mountains, Hassan is your man. Yacine is another amazing staff member who procured me a large bag to bring back everything that I had bought, including a gorgeous traditional Berber carpet and Tagine made in front of my eyes. I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. Stay here for the experience of a lifetime through customer service that you won’t find anywhere else.

The Riad Mazar provided a beautiful atmosphere with extremely comfortable beds, an ample bedroom and a delicious breakfast. The gentleman at the desk made the wonderful and plentiful 3-4 course breakfast of Moroccan pancakes, a pastry or sweet, fried eggs, fresh orange juice, bread and more. He personally went twice to a local dry cleaner for me and my garments were returned amazingly within a few hours. Very pleasant experience!

The riad itself is beautiful and the room was lovely. Siham met us outside of the medina to help us locate the riad and even helped us parallel park in a very complicated and tiny spot. We are decently well travelled and know that we prefer forgoing tours and figuring out how to navigate cities on our own, and were very disappointed when Siham did not give us a choice to do this. When we asked for recommendations the only thing she advised us to do was to pay for tour guides to bring us to specific locations and show us around. This would work for many travelers but it did not appeal to us and Siham's repeated pressure made us feel like we were just fighting her for most of our visit. If she had seen that we preferred to go at things alone and advised us on the best way to do that, we would have had a significantly better stay and probably enjoyed the city a lot more. If you are a traveller like us, we definitely recommend downloads maps.me for Fes, as Google Maps doesn't work and makes navigating really difficult!

Really lovely Riad in the medina old town. A driver picked us up at the train station that we had arranged as extra who was really helpful. Staff at the Riad were also really helpful and it felt safe inside. However, for us being in the heart of Fez, as soon as we went outside, were hassled a lot by locals to help guide us (which of course is their way of trying to get you to pay) - so if you are prepared for that, and the staff at the Riad also warn about this, and not to get too deep into the market alone, that’s fine. But if you are worried about having to ignore people who claim to want to help you in the streets, definitely take a guide who will help look after you. Unfortunately we didn’t have long to investigate the rest of Fez apart from this area as we only stayed one night. So mixed feelings about Fez itself, and am sure there are many other wonderful parts to discover, and the Riad was wonderful - if you tell them in the morning that you want to eat there, they will cook for you, which we would have done if we had known as the breakfast the next morning was amazing.

Siham helped book our tour with a very good local tour guide Jamal and helped us with transportation. Unfortunately we only had one night in Fes. Definitely coming back and staying more nights in Riad Mazar Fes. Thank you Siham and thank you Khalid for a memorable stay in Fes.

After traveling thru Morocco for two weeks, I can easily endorse this Riad as my favorite. Stayed in 5 others and this is by far my favorite. Lovely helpful staff, rooms well cared for, staff helpful in all ways, and the main courtyard is beautiful, peaceful and a lovely setting for a rest and a fabulous nutritious breakfast. It is very private and walkable to many shops and restaurants. Like all Riads in the Medinas they are safe and walkable but know taxis and cars are not allowed. Our driver was able to drive to the Riad to pick us up but check this out. Truly a gem representative of kind hospitality.

A second visit with my partner, plus two friends, did not disappoint. The lovely Siham was there to welcome us and to ensure that every need was met. Riad Mazar offers wonderfully comfortable guest rooms and divine breakfasts. Laundry is accommodated without commission and returned the same day. The riad’s location is very convenient, just a short walk from a lively square, ATMs, restaurants, and other services. The nearby Cinema Cafe serves delicious food, including camel kefta. Also excellent fries, the table next to us reported! I’d return to Riad Mazar in a heartbeat.

The photos really don’t do this riad any justice. It is so beautiful and everyone is so kind and welcoming. Breakfasts were always delicious and beautiful as well. Siham was so kind and helpful in booking a tour for the medina, a late appointment for the spa, and helping us to get our train tickets. She was probably my favorite part of my visit to Fes! Thank you all again so much for an incredibly comfortable stay! :)

What a jaw droppingly beautiful place on the edge of the massive Medina. The staff, especially Siham, was professional, friendly and attentive to our needs including arranging our pick up from the bus station and help with arranging tours. However, I would suggest booking multi day tours online to prevent misunderstandings in pricing and the ability to pay with credit cards rather than expected cash payments. Our private guide, Abdul, was amazing, informative and patient as he escorted through the infinite labyrinth of Fes' Medina. The breakfast provided was also excellent and we appreciated the room upgrade.

I recommend visitors to Fez stay in a Riad and experience both wonderful hospitality and stunning and unique Moroccan accommodation. The Riad Mazar Fes is fantastic. Halid went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful time. He is rightly proud of the effort put into creating this beautiful Riad. Our room with private ensuite was spacious, comfortable and beautiful. The traditional Moroccan breakfast can include western style eggs etc if you want. The main guest areas and relaxing spaces were an extra treat. The Riad is well located. We are a retired Australian couple who have been travelling and living in hotels full time since May 2023. Riad Mazar Fez is one of the loveliest unique boutique accommodation options we have enjoyed.

A grand experience due to welcoming and wonderful family and team. The breakfasts were great but the home-cooked, local eats dinner was the most outstanding food experience on our trip. Our only advice is to pace eating for the day as there was a soup, bread and 14 fresh salads, couscous, and a dessert. We would highly recommend Mazar Fes.

We went to Casablanca to experience modern Morocco, and we hoped to experience the more traditional Morocco in Fes. We were not disappointed, and Riad Mazar was the perfect place to explore from. It is a small and beautifully renovated Riad with cosy, comfortable well appointed rooms situated just inside the ancient Medina. All 3 staff are very attentive and welcoming. Siham is an excellent host and concierge and began with very helpful instruction beforehand on how to access the hotel from the Medina gate, since taxis cannot get right to the door. She arranged an excellent walking tour of the Medina with Bochta and a driving tour of the region with Saddiq. Both were extremely knowledgeable and professional and we highly recommend each. The Medina in particular should not be missed. It’s a colorful, crowded and animated place full of sights, sounds, aromas and history, and probably largely unchanged for centuries. It is a labyrinth and a knowledgeable guide is essential to get the most out of it. The Riad was our oasis of calm at the end of busy days and we then started each morning with an excellent Moroccan breakfast, cheerfully modified to our dietary requirements. Our stay in Fes was all we hoped for and the Riad Mazar and their excellent staff contributed greatly to the success of our visit. We recommend it highly.

The Riad is beautiful. I stayed only 1 night, so did not get to sample the cooking, but my family stayed on and said it was extraordinary. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful. It was also a good location to take walking tours of the old Medina. The room was gorgeous!

Based on my teenage son and my recent 4 night stay, I highly recommend this Riad. The attention to detail sets this property apart from others - the architecture, furnishings, and location all make for a memorable experience. Of course the stars of this property are the welcoming and attentive staff - always smiling and helping us if we had any questions or requests regarding Fez (a city we fell in love with). They booked our train tickets to Casablanca, arranged several tours (including a city walking tour and day trip to Chefchaouen), coordinated a hammam and massage experience and a leather shopping trip. The breakfast offered was excellent. The on-site dinner option (book ahead) was the culinary highlight of our Morocco travel experience. Thank you to Khalid Bouzidi Idrissi and his amazing team for making our stay one to remember. I look forward to visiting Fez and this Riad again, inshallah.

Exquisite riad on the outskirts of the medina. Every detail has been meticulously planned and showcases the craftsmanship of the region. The location is easily accessible by motor vehicle (compared with riads located in the medina where there is no vehicle access). We stayed in a two bed room on the third floor of the riad with windows facing the inner area and the street. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. There is an in-room a/c and heater, which was very comfortable as it was quite cold in Fes when we arrived. The service and communication was excellent. There is 24/7 staff availability and you are made to feel like family. I would highly recommend staying here!

An absolutely beautiful Riad that was safe and welcoming. Our room was clean and spacious and stunning. The breakfast each morning was HUGE. More than enough to get us through the day. The location was excellent-just 5-10 min walk to the Blue gate. Our host also arranged a tour of the Medina-you definitely need a tour guide as you would be completely lost otherwise. I cannot say enough good about the beauty of this place. Canadian hospitality in Morocco.

The Riad is on the edge of the Medina so easy to get to, no tiny, narrow streets to get lost! It’s close to the Blue Gate so very convenient for sights. The interior is beautiful, a lovely example of Moroccan architecture. The rooms were very comfortable and had AC which was crucial as it was so hot, 40+°C. The common area can get quite warm but that’s not where we spent the most of our time. There are two comfortable alcoves for lounging though and there are fans. Honestly only an issue heat. Siham is an absolute gem! She organized our transfers from the train station and then back to the airport, as well as a private guide for a day of walking around the Medina. She also offered the option of a meal on our first night. It was amazing, so many delicious flavours, but also so much food. Breakfast was a variety of Moroccan baked goods, fruit, eggs, fresh orange juice and coffee. Each day was a little different.

We stayed one night at Riad Mazar Fes and we loved it! The owner is incredibly gracious and helped us by arranging transport from the airport, preparing us an absolutely delicious dinner, finding us a tour guide for the Fez Medina and arranging a car to take us to Meknes. This was our first stop in Morocco and we are so glad we stayed! The rooms were lovely and location excellent! Would highly recommend!

The owner and his staff are excellent and their hospitality was amazing. We loved the traditional rooms and the decor. The customized breakfast they served was so tasty and fresh! We enjoyed our stay there. The only con I can think of is their bathroom issues. The bathroom itself is tiny, which is not a big deal, but the plumbing is a bit weird. It would help if they could update and improve their plumbing system. But overall it is worth staying at Riad Mazar Fes!

My stay at Riad Mazar was absolutely wonderful. The hotel and rooms are stunningly beautiful and the breakfast was top notch. I had their optional dinner my 2nd night and it was my best meal in Morocco. When a separately booked guide failed to show up, the staff graciously found me another guide for the day. I would definitely stay here again.

This place is surrounded by many scam artists. The hotel acknowledges this and apologizes afterwards. However, they do nothing to warn you, or prepare you in advance. For example, when we tried to leave, the car was surrounded by many men who demanded that we pay them lots of money before they would let us depart. This was in spite of us following hotel instructions to the dot. The restaurant recommendations that they give are not very good. Over priced with below average food. The doorman who were many hats was excellent.
