A beautiful oasis, in the heart of the chaos of Marrakech. The staff were very lovely and attentive from start to finish, our room was perfect and had great upkeep of cleanliness throughout our stay thanks to house keeping. The food was great and fairly priced. The whole place made mine and my partner’s stay very special and we will definitely be returning.

Cons: Nothing, it was perfect

We spent our one-week vacation at Riad Dar 73, and it was the best choice. Riad is literally around the corner from the Bahia Palace on the edge of the medina, a few meters from a square where you can do your shopping and where there is a pick-up point for trips from Marrakech. The riad itself is an absolutely charming place, everything is clean, well-maintained, and tuned to the last detail, very cozy, and has a beautiful terrace. The team that takes care of the riad and guests is very nice. Thank you to Said for the warm welcome and helpfulness! You can buy water and alcohol at the riad and order food. Cleaning takes place daily.

Cons: The rooms are tiny, and it may be important for some people to know that the shower has no door. We were a little disappointed with the breakfasts; we would have appreciated more variety and savory options (there were almost none).

Clementine & Guillaume

Excellent location, very peaceful and easy access to taxis. Right next to Bahia palace was a bonus. A modern, very stylish Riad, with beautiful Moroccan accents. There is a feeling of serenity and grace throughout this establishment, with exquisite design touches. Spotlessly clean throughout, and the rooms were spacious. Excellent showers and thick towels as well as the bedding. Above all, the hosts were very kind, and eager to assist. All staff members treated as family and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and delightful. Even small gestures as turning on the fountain for us, playing mesmerising music, meeting our dietary needs, cooking for us, providing us with teas. We truly felt at home. I appreciated very much their assistance with securing a taxi for the airport.

Cons: They do attention to detail in a big way- there is nothing to complain about.

One of the best accommodations I've ever stayed in. Clean and beautiful rooms with warm and welcoming service. Location was calm and perfect - 5 minutes walk from the action, 10+ minutes to main square. We also used the provided airport transfer when arriving which was smooth and easy. Though taxis were also available nearby when leaving. Breakfast was served to table and it was nice and fresh. Would absolutely stay again!

We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech!. The hotel is clean and organized.

We loved our stay at Dar 73! We got a warm greeting every time we arrived and the whole Riad was immaculate and beautifully presented. We had the 30m hammam and 60m massage which was around £50 each and was so relaxing. The breakfasts each morning were delicious and included in the price. We would definitely visit again. The only slight negatives are that the pool wasn't open when we visited late February, and that there are sometimes people sitting directly outside the entrance making access a little uncomfortable.

Absolutely amazing stay at Dar 73. It was a calm oasis in the busy city. Staff couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious. We had a lovely Hamman experience there so would definitely recommend that. The bed was a bit hard for me but I was so tired after adventuring all day that I had no problem sleeping. The room was kept clean and welcoming.

The breakfast was delicious and came in good portions, changing something daily, so you didn’t grew tired of the meal. The staff was always smiling and ready to help, seeing to ones needs.

Cons: We had to change rooms for the last day, and the first room was wonderful! However the second room had some issues with a toilet door that couldn’t close and a wet floor due to bad drainage. They had just renovated every room, so minor issues which they are gonna fix with time.

The staff were so helpful at accomodating my late-night check-in after a flight delay. They offered to arrange transportation from the airport for me, and at no point was i left to walk the street alone to get to the riad. I only stayed one night here, checking in late and leaving early, so I didn’t get the full experience. However, my room was beautiful, and the fresh roses were a thoughtful, charming touch.

I loved the terrace and the overall “zen” vibe of the Riad. Everything was clean and modern. Breakfast was very nice with fresh fruit and yogurt and good quality bread and pancakes! The location is very central but in a quiet street, there’s some local shops in a street behind which were quite handy and authentic. The room is modern and with a very comfy bed and the bathroom is very spacious.

Cons: The room was a bit small, with no space to rest other than the bed…

When you stay at a Riad in Marrakesh, you should have three criteria; does it have its own hammam, does it have some sort of pool, and does it have a good kitchen? Dar 73 is one of those places. While the breakfast is just OK and they don’t have coffee makers in the room, the staff is excellent riad is centrally located right near Bahia Palace and Tinsmith Square where it’s easy to get a cab anywhere in the city. Very comfortable and quiet. The rooftop terrace is beautiful at sunset especially if you have dinner prepared there. Highly recommend.

Somewhat difficult to find, down a long sketchy passageway. Upon arrival, greeted by very friendly and attentive staff. Very quiet hotel. No windows in our spacious and well-appointed room. Excellent shower. Our only complaint is that the room smelled of mold, likely due to the evaporation caused by the air conditioning system.

Dar 73 is a lovely tiny hotel with just six rooms. It is located in the old part of Marrakesch so the market and the Palace Bahia are in walking distance. We were made very welcome by the staff, who always went the extra mile to make our stay as comfy as possible. The rooms was lovely and the hotel itself was immaculately clean. Breakfast was brilliant to. We would highly recommend the hotel and would stay there again at any time.

We booked 2 rooms at Riad Dar 73 for 3 nights. We all enjoyed our stay. The rooms are modern and the interior decorating is lovely. The breakfast and coffee was good..we enjoyed the pancakes. The staff were helpful and accommodating to our needs. It about a 15 minute walk through the spice alleys to the square. We parked our car near the palace so it wasn’t too much of a walk with our luggage. Very good aircon. Loved the fresh roses in the room. Small pool was nice to cool off.

Cons: There is no kettle or fridge in the room. There is not much privacy as all rooms face each other with glass window and door. You have to keep the curtains closed which feels a bit dark.

Road Dar 73 was the perfect base to explore Marrakech. A short walk takes you into the miriad of narrow alleys to explore the Medina. The staff are welcoming and informative and the cleaning staff super, creating beautiful rose petal masterpieces on the bed each morning! The breakfast was tasty and freshly made. A small but cosy area is available to relax in the sunshine or shade on the terrace. Whilst we didn't take advantage, there is wine and spirits readily available to buy at the Riad which is a bonus. The bedroom was quiet and blackout was good. Some people have commented that the rooms are small. We would disagree...narrow, yes with little space either side of the bed BUT long with a double walk-in shower which was delightful! Overall, an excellent stay and a perfect base from which to explore the wonders of this country!

Cons: Although the location was good, don't be alarmed by the fact that you are dropped at the end of rather a insalubrious alley where you have to follow someone to be taken to the front door opposite some earthquake affected buildings. On our arrival we were rather taken back. The breakfast, whilst fresh and tasty did not offer any alternatives. During our 4 nights stay we had no eggs which we missed. My husband was not impressed at all with the coffee which was disappointing as in most cafes etc it was cheap and delicious. The only other slight negative was the size of the pool. Whilst we had read that it was quite small, think more of it as somewhere to dip your feet and body to cool down rather than somewhere to swim.

We arrived late at night, we had to walk there through the back streets as to most of the riads you cant get by car. The driver dropped us next to the police station and put on our google map the direction which was accurate and in few minutes we were in our Riad. There in few minutes we got our room which was clean, the bed was decorated, late at night there was enough hot water to shower. The place is very quiet. The breakfast was really great, everything fresh, not like in big hotels where you have lots of choice but kind of breakfast made with love. The main square is like 15 min comfortable walk, there we got lost during the whole day. At night we decided to eat in the Riad, we didnt book the dinner but there was no problem, we got served with a great fresh evening meal. On Sunday we left the room, they allowed us to leave the lugages in the hall. We had transfer at 17.00 booked with booking, it was cheap and just perfect, no hassle. I can just recommend this place, the only problem is that it is almost always fully booked.

Cons: We liked everything, there was nothing wrong with the place.

Amazing hotel. Excellent staff. Newly refurbished modern decor. Felt like a little Oasis in the middle of the dusty city. Great breakfast. Bed was luxurious and comfy. Slept like a baby.

Everything really! From the friendly welcoming to the well designed room, not forgetting how quiet it is when you are inside the riad, and anything you ask is always dealt with with a smile 😊

I stayed here with my friend a week before the earthquake so it felt wrong to give a score about a holiday. But because the staf was SO hospitable and amazing I wanted to share that. The crew always helped out, were respectful and graceful, the women of the hammam and massage facilities were amazing and kind, the hotelroom was always clean, everything was modern and worked. The terrace upstairs was a great escape from the city for a bit. Breakfast was gooood. I hope everyone gets a chance to visit and wish you all well!

It was like an oasis in the middle of a bustling city. When you stepped through the doors, you were suddenly transported away from the busy streets of Marrakech into tranquility. We loved everything: the warm welcome, helpful host who gave us advice on where to go/what to expect/where to eat, the cleanliness & decor of the room, the comfy bed (so divine). The rooftop plunge pool was just a bonus to escape from the midday heat!

Cons: Nothing, we absolutely loved it.

Every part of our stay in dar73 was amazing. The staff are so friendly and helpful I have never experienced hospitality quite like it. Breakfast each day had a lovely selection of things from fruit to pastries. The food we requested for lunch was also delicious. We booked a traditional hammam experience within Dar73 and this was also incredible. The room itself was gorgeous and had brilliant aircon. The terrace is a lovely place to sunbathe and relax away from the intensity of the medina. I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff are so helpful and really go the extra mile.

What an oasis of calm, a true gem! This tiny door (which you have to stoop to get through) opens into a light, spacious, trendy riad. Very tranquil. Super clean, the friendliest staff who couldn't do enough for us during our stay. Superb rooftop with great views, even a small pool. My room was fabulous, great decor, highly recommend. A 5 minute walk and in the heart of Marrakesh medina.

The location is excellent, in a quiet atmospheric street in the city center. Dinner in the evening ranged from delicious tagine to French-style herbal omelettes: all deliciously cooked. Reasonably priced wines etc were available. The hotel arranged a private car for airport pick-up and drop-off. The outstanding appeal of Dar 73 is the staff: friendly, helpful, efficient, courteous. No hesitation recommending this delightful place.

Fabulous stay at a tucked away riad. Dar 73 is a lovely Riad in a great location close to palaces, temples, the medina and the souks. It’s very clean and the rooms are very traditional and comfy Staff are friendly and pleasant. Great local breakfast is served either in the living area or terrace every morning and we asked for hot water and milk a few evenings for an English tea. Nothing was too much trouble.

Located in the old Jewish Mellah , only a few meters from Slat Al Azama Synagogue and museum , about 5 minutes walk from Bahia Palace , and 15 minutes walk to the bustling Jamaa El Fna square and the neighboring various Souks (market) . A typical small riad structure, an inner patio and a small fountain , beautifully renovated in calm Moroccan tradition. Very clean and pleasantly maintained. Like in many other Riad - steep staircase to the second floor , but don't be alarmed: The evening welcoming receptionist , good hearted , smiling and friendly Salim - will help you carry your luggage while you take the "welcome" Moroccan tea in the patio. Thank you Salim for helping us and for the hearty breakfast. Recommending this riad with pleasure .

Amine is very helpful and always happy to assist as well as all other staff members. Hotel is located in the old Médina, we got lost twice trying to get back, not easy to find and cars don’t reach it. Breakfast is great, home made and we had tajine for dinner one night which was good as well. Room very comfortable and well designed/ decorated. We arrived to a vase full of roses. Bathroom/ shower were very nice and spacious as well as the room itself. It included a little sitting area with a window. It is a traditional dar with the rooms surrounding an outside common area. Natural light and you are able to hear all prayer calls. Hotel was almost empty, very quiet at night but nonetheless peaceful. They even turn off all lights at night and the night staff was sleeping when I needed something at 7am.

Enjoyed a split stay here either side of a trip to Atlas mountains and desert. I'm not one for the hustle and bustle of Marrakech too much so it was nice to be able to relax here for the day, look at all the photos from my trip and any questions or requests I may have had were dealt with professionally and always with a smile. Would recommend for couples or solo travellers like myself.

Extremely arrogant and unhelpful staff. Had to change my booking few days before. Staff told me to cancel the booking on booking.com for a partial refund. When I asked for refund they got back to me few days later saying they won’t refund me. They try to take advantage of people and have no respect.. When I told them that if I can’t be partially refunded, I will keep the existing reservation (which I fully paid for), they told me that I would need to re-book! Ridiculous suggestion from a ridiculous hotel.. Marrakech is a hit or miss. There are good people and those who try to rob you off. Better to be able to distinguish between the two..

We immediately felt at home! The staff was welcoming and incredibly pleasant to be around. They were helpful when we had questions about getting around Marrakesh and helped us to buy bus tickets. It is an incredible establishment and I would recommend it to everyone staying in Marrakesh! Location is fantastic as well.

My partner and I stayed at dar 73 for a week at the end of September. The rooms are exceptionally clean and beautiful. It is based in the old Jewish quarter of the city and is very close to all the key sites you would want to see. The staff were excellent in terms of looking after us and very friendly on every interaction. They always had a smile and we felt at home straight away. They were also very helpful in terms of organising trips for us to sites in the desert. One other thing we really liked in terms of what they did was make the bed look really nice each day with flowers and towel designs! The small things matter. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

We hired the entire Riad for 10 people including 3 children (under the age of 7) and 3 people over the age of 70. It is not the prettiest Riad in Marrakech but the rooms are very comfortable, clean and well designed, in a more modern style than you'd usually find in the Medina. It's also well located for first time visitors to Marrakech with easy access from the local taxi drop off point and close to several good restaurants and attractions including the Bahia Palace and Saadiens Tombs. What really made our stay magical was the wonderful kind, warm welcome that we all received (particularly the children). This was the first time several of our party had visited Morocco and the team at Dar 73 really did ensure that they received a fantastic impression of this beautiful city. The breakfast on the terrace (with a tiny pool which the children loved) was the perfect way for our party to start their visit, before heading off to the coast. A million thank yous for ensuring that my friends now love Marrakech as much as I do.

Lovely room and bathroom. Very clean and quiet. The staff were attentive and gave us advice when walking around the city and where to go visit. They also arranged a quad biking excursion in the palm groves for us. It was amazing to get a glimpse of the natural landscape and the mountains. A great place to visit to experience the rich culture and vibrant colours.

Fantastic stay at this Road. The service was brilliant, the staff couldn't be more helpful. We stayed in rooms upstairs so had more privacy compared to the suite downstairs. We also had the hamam which was so relaxing. I would recommend getting the invoice in local currency rather than in Euros.

The Riad is beautiful, clean and close to all the main sites. The food is really tasty and I would recommend eating there at least once. I also really recommend having a treatment from their spa as the therapist was amazing! The staff are also really helpful with tips about getting around Marrakesh and haggling etc, I would recommend taking their offer of airport transfers as the place is a little tricky to find on your own at first it's down a small passage but don't let that put you off we travelled as two young females but we never felt unsafe just be cautious. The room was lovely perfect for the two of us. The cleaner was also very good our room was spotless every day she even hung up our clothes in the waredrobe! The whole service from the riad was brilliant.

Great location, ideally situated in Medina to visit all the main tourist attractions, Bahia Palace is literally round the corner. Hotel interior is beautiful and not what you expect walking off the streets of Marrakech. Rooms are very clean and comfortable however due to the Riad being very close to Koutoubia Mosque we were woken up every morning at about 4am to the prayer. Riad staff service was slow with food etc, but this could have been due to it being a very small Riad with only 1 or 2 staff per day and during Ramadan. Food itself was really nice much better than what we got outside in restaurants. Overall it was a pleasant stay however this was completey overturned when we checked out as they were trying to charge us for the room even though this had already been paid for before travelling via Expedia. It was very unprofessional and stressful when we were trying to leave to catch our flight home and it took a very long time to sort out due the staff not speaking any English they then tried to charge us in Euors when they're entire menu is only in Dirhams so very deceiving. Even after showing them all my email booking confirmations of the room paid for they did not believe us and had to await confirmation from a colleague via the phone who was very difficult to get a hold of. Eventually it was clarified that we had already paid for the room and we recieved no apology. Check out was a massive let down. But we thoroughly enjoyed Marrakech itself beautiful places to see.
