Full of character especially with the cats, beautifully decorated and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Loved our stay.
Cons: Too late for sandwiches early evening but we had some very nice biscuits. The room safe wouldn't work but we didn't use it in the end.

The riad is lovely! The staff is the best, especially Hakim! We are very thankful for all his great effort! Also we really enjoyed the hamam and great massage.
Cons: If we are to name something, it would be that the riad allows smoking and vaping in the courtyard. We were in the room next to the court yard, meaning that the other guestâs smoke came into our room, gross.

Location was very good, the Riad was beautifully decorated, calm, serene and tranquil. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, everywhere exceptionally clean and I would say the Riad had a 'boutique' style and feel to it.
Cons: The bedroom could have had a larger table to put things on but other than that, very good.

It was a wonderful place to stay. Oasis of calm after a day in the souks and Moroccan heat. Lovely pools to dip into after a hot day. The staff were all lovely and made sure we had a relaxing experience. Special shout out to Hakim who was so attentive and on hand if we needed help and a friendly face to meet at the riad on our return. Perfect location in the medina for the souks and restaurants. Highly recommend this riad. We had a fantastic holiday.

Riad Olema et Spa is a beautiful Riad which feels so homely. The staff were amazing. So helpful and friendly and really making it a memorable stay.

Location was really convenient15-20 mins away from all the top sites, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, breakfast was fresh, generous and varied. The room was beautiful and comfortable, wonderfully cool in the high temperatures we had, and the bathroom was spacious with plenty of hot water in the shower. The pools and the roof terrace were larger and better equipped than expected and not crowded or busy we spent several relaxing hours there each day. The welcome we received when we arrived late at night was exceptionally warm and made sure we had everything we needed. The 3 resident cats was an added bonus.
Cons: The only thing that could have been better was a second armchair in the bedroom or a 2 seater couch.

The staff were incredible and super attentive, the whole hotel is so tranquil, yet right in the middle of the medina/markets. Perfect location, breakfast was lovely and served between 8-10. I would definitely book this spot if youâre looking for a relaxing and quiet riad in the heart of the medina! The whole team went out of their way to make it an unforgettable experience for us. Our experience at Riad Olema was pleasant, we were greeted by Samir, who provided us with useful information for our road trip in Morocco. Riad Olema is clean and very close to the medina, there isnât any parking available and locating Riad Olema the first time can be hard but not impossible. The breakfast was delicious and the service we received was welcoming and friendly. The Riad pool is nice to have a dip in after visiting the medina, there is also a jacuzzi on the roof terrace. The Riad car Baboush is cute but can creep into your room and refuse to leave, I didnât mind Baboush having a snooze in our room. Overall I would certainly visit Riad Olema again

There were cockroaches in the washroom. We paid through Expedia and Alexandra, the French owner didn't care. She tried to cheat us. She added a night. She tried to charge us taxes for our daughter who is only 10. We showed her our receipt that we paid through Expedia for everything and she didn't care. She tried to change our currency which is against Expedias policy. Everything was paid for through Expedia in advance including the extra guest. They added an extra night as well. She did not care. Cheats.

they called a taxi for me to take me to the next place, about 1/5th of the distance the first taxi covered to bring me from the airport to their Riad, but it cost nearly double the price. No one spoke English, I had to wait> one hour for them to get someone who spoke English to tell me the routine. No one wears anything to tell you they work at the hotel, and the taxi drops you off in the Medina because the streets are too narrow to go any further. But they don't tell you they are going to do that. so the car just stops, they put your luggage on the ground and leave. you have no idea where you are. It turned out the man who grabbed my bag and took off with it worked for the hotel, but he didn't speak English, didn't speak to me or make eye contact, and didn't tell me what was happening. None of the staff made eye contact. I specifically introduced myself, but they didn't reciprocate. I was scammed by a man, when I left the hotel, who said he was a hotel employee, and the event I was going to had been cancelled. he said follow him to a different one, led me down an empty ally and demanded money to let me go. this is common. The event was not cancelled, and I just ran to get away from him. When I got back to the Riad, a staff member told me he had seen the man following me and to be careful. then why didn't he intervene, because he would only have been 5 metres away!!!!
Cons: service, communication, Even a tiny amount of manners, compassion, acknowledgement that I am human would have been nice. I am a 70 year old woman travelling alone.

It was in the easiest of locations in the heart of a busy area that wasnât full of tourists. No need to lock up your door as there were staff there 24/7.
Cons: The location of the main pool was right outside someoneâs room which made it look like it was for their exclusive use. We didnât use it while the occupants were outside their room. The spa was secluded but not much good anyway. First it was too hot to enter then it was like sitting in a warm bath with no jet pressure.

Riad Olema et Spa was amazing: it was comfortable, beautiful, in an excellent location and staffed with the mostly helpful and friendly people. We stayed in the Beldi side for 7 nights and had a great time. The room had air conditioning and was very clean and comfortable. The plunge pool was so good after a hot day out. The breakfast was very nice and they catered for my celiac travelling companion very well. The massages were great. The accompanying, food, drinks and spa treatments were all extremely good value. We also had airport transfers arranged through the Riad and it was very easy and good value.

The Riad sits in the north part of the Medina, its location is quite strategic to meander through the old city. Once in, the place offers comfort and a very relaxing and friendly environment. Rooms overlooking two small courtyards, one with a green swimming pool underneath and another one with a quite eating area.

The Riad is very well located in the Medina, easy to find. The environment is well curated, quiet, calm and relaxing. Rooms are clean and service is the best part, everyone is incredibly welcoming and ready to help. I had the best Tajine de beouf aux pruneaux in the city!!
Cons: Definitely recommend this for a solo or trip with friends or family.

- Excellent location, close to local attractions in the medina, but quiet and serene - Beautifully decorated and clean throughout - Two pools to choose from and a great roof top terrace - 2 cats and a tortoise roaming the premises (adorable and cuddly!)
Cons: - Room didn't have a mini bar which would be so useful in the 40 degree heat - We didn't get water on check in like in the other riad we stayed in, would have been a nice touch in the summer heat - Breakfast is tasty enough, but could do with a bit more variety - It was quite pricey for food/drinks in the hotel

The staff at Riad Olema were kind and attentive throughout our stay, and their day-to-day hospitality was excellent. However, we were charged for a pillow stain and almost charged for a missing shampoo bottle that was clearly in the bathroom (they removed the charge after we pointed it out). They also called us a cab but didnât tell the driver we were headed to the train station â he was on the way to the airport until I caught it on the map. Apparently, this miscommunication has happened before. Great service overall, but some small issues to watch for during checkout.

What a wonderful place to stay! Every single member of staff was kind, welcoming, helpful and hospitable. The Riad had many areas and spaces to relax or cool down. We didnât use the spa but it was easily accessible. Breakfast was a great start to the day with fruit, yogurt and freshly squeezed orange juice followed by a selection of breads/ crumpets/ pastries. We had a room for 6 which was spacious and comfortable. We walked everywhere, good location. Riad arranged airport transfers for us (20 min) and were happy to provide any help or advice we needed during our stay. Lovely, clean place to stay. Greatly enjoyed our experience here.

All staff were polite, helpful and very hospitable. We had a room for 6 which had a good amount of space. Breakfast was very enjoyable, although no options- fruit, yogurt, freshly squeezed orange juice then breads/pastries/crumpets- all very enjoyable and a great start to the day. 20 min drive from the airport. It is a very calm environment with lots of areas and spaces. I really enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is interesting! While the building is intriguing, the staff donât know how to run a hotel. As an example, they said they will start serving breakfast at 8am, and based on that we scheduled our taxi, and dayâs activities. When we came down at 8am, there was no one in the equivalent of the lobby, with the exception of a man, sleeping and snoring loudly on a sofa! After a while we found the guy who was supposed to get our breakfast ready, and after about 20min he started putting a few small cups of yogurt, a few small packs of butter and jams on the table. And when I told him that we are on the clock and need to leave soon, and asked him for other things that he had forgotten like bread and coffee, he didnât like it, and he gave us the cold shoulder!

Fabulous location - right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city but yet tranquil as soon as you stepped over the threshold. Very attentive staff Delicious breakfast
Cons: The Riad was home to a few cats so it you don't like cats or are allergic to them, you wouldn't want to stay here as they are part of the family and wander around the entire riad and even popped into our room too. It would have been nice to have had access to a bar or a fridge for a cold drink at the end of the day. Our room was a little small for our liking - we should have booked a superior room in hindsight.

We learnt that Riad Olema was in a perfect location for exploring inside and outside the Medina. Very close ( 5 mins) to the souks, and yet very close to the new developed area of Marrakech just outside the Medina walls. The Riad offered tranquility within this vibrant neighbourhood, and the staff within the Olema Raid were also very warm, friendly and attentive....a happy to place to be. A special thanks to Siad and Abdel for their constant warmth and help during our stay. Breakfast was always nice and enjoyed within the central ambience of the Riad. Thank You for a great stay.

The staff were extremely friendly and charming to us throughout our stay. The location was in close proximity to Jemma El Fnaa & Koutoubia. The property itself was attractive in true Moroccan Riad style.
Cons: It was described on Booking.com as having wine/champagne (bar facilities). There was no bar facility and when we asked we were told alcohol was not available on the premises. Breakfast consisted of fruit salad, bread, juice & coffee with no hot food options. The room was clean but particularly small which made it difficult to move around the bed.

Iâve visited several riad in Marrakesh and this was my favourite. Itâs clean, tastefully curated, the bedrooms are very comfortable and the rooftop is massive. I spent a long time researching Riads for our holiday, I can honestly say it did not disappoint! We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenage boys) and we all agreed it was one of our favouite hotels we have ever stayed in. The whole place was perfect from start to finish, exactly how we imagined a riad in Marrakech to be. The staff were all so pleasant and helpful, always on hand to answer any questions. Even before we arrived in Marrakech they arranged our airport transfer via email. The bedrooms were perfect for us - we wanted traditional but also modern touches with light airy rooms. The rooftop is beautiful and a great place to spend an hour or two escaping the hustle and bustle of the medina. A nice little suntrap for January afternoons. The whole riad is so spotlessly clean. The location also suited us - towards the top end of the medina, about a 15 minute walk to Jemaa el-fna but with food stalls, restaurants and a variety of shops all close by and also within walking distance of the new city. We walked everywhere. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Beautiful Riad, wonderful interior design with attention to detail. Felt like an Oasis in the midst of busy Medina. Location is good. Cleaning staff and night guard very friendly.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit boring, I would have appreciated more choice. Communication with staff through text/mail could be improved. It could be more friendly, welcoming and helpful. I asked staff for help to book a table for me via text, they ignored it (even after I inquired in person and they agreed to do it) - I had to do it myself in the end.

This was the second time I stayed at Riad Olema & Spa and it was once again a most relaxing and enjoyable experience. The riad is beautifully furnished and decorated, and even has pets (a cat and a turtle) that make it feel even more like a home. They always take the time to show you where to go and make recommendations. The rooms and common areas are absolutely gorgeous and look like they belong in a magazine. The only negative is that itâs a little far from the main square (Jemaa El-Fnaa) but that was fine with us. It was nice to escape the chaos and retreat back to a tranquil hideaway. From the moment we were greeted at the door , the ambiance of this beautiful establishment and so helpful staff made us feel welcome and special. The Riad has many levels and pools and places to lounge and eat in comfort and style. So many wonderful details and thought has gone into the design and comfort and privacy of guests. Our room was spacious, beds were super comfortable and bathroom had everything and more we needed. The tiling and design of bathroom was so inspiring. Staff were always so helpful and available at all times. Dip pools were wonderful to chill in after a warm walk in Medina. Hamnan and massage were of a high standard and wouldâve liked more time to go another time. We ate at the Riad and their food was freshly made and perfect. I loved your pet cat and tortoise! This is a very tranquil and beautiful Riad in a superb location! The owner Alexandra and her staff a truly amazing, we cannot fault the level of service they provided. It must be difficult to maintain this level of service however they made us feel at home immediately and were there on hand to help with booking restaurants and excursions with zero complications! The riad is so relaxing and feels like home. Breakfast was also delicious and each day they provided unique homemade pastries which were so yummy. There is a lovely curated shop in the riad with good prices and unique items to purchase as well. We had an amazing stay! âșïžđ
Cons: The massage was lovely but the experience was a little bit off putting as the drain in the wash steam riom was plugged.

Our first time visiting Marrakech, and Riad Olema made it a trip to remember. The location of the Riad was great, it was only a short walk into the Souks and to the restaurants that we had booked, but also close to the city walls so we could also easily walk to Jardin Majorelle or get a taxi. The staff at the hotel were so helpful, giving us recommendations for our visit, ensuring we had airport transfers, and always asking if we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The Riad has 2 pools on the ground floors - which whilst not in the sun during the day and quite cold - were so refreshing to dip into after a hot day walking around the city. There was also a jacuzzi on the rooftop if you needed to cool off after some sunbathing. Lastly, the breakfast was lovely - I was slightly worried about this as I didn't see many reviews about the food but it was great! 5 stars overall, thank you Riad Olema!

We loved this riad from as soon as entered. The room was large and comfortable, the decor throughout very attractive and tasteful. There is a very large outdoor area at the top with plenty of places to relax in the sun. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Would definitely return if visiting Marrakesh. Breakfast choices not as substantial as those of a large hotel but perfectly fine.

The riad itself was like an oasis against the hectic streets of Marrakech. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple, but fresh and very tasty! We appreciated the variety of the dishes. Transfers were incredibly efficient and kind.
Cons: Front door key would have been helpful to save the member of staff having to get up regularly to let people in. It would also have been great to know that alcohol was served at the riad, the menu was a little sparse on information.

We enjoyed the peacefulness within this lovely traditional Riad. On arrival, the staff were very friendly, and brought us mint tea to relax after the journey. Good explanation of where to go/visit, and a tour around the terraces and facilities. Throughout our whole stay, the staff were helpful in organising some private tours for us., and nothing was too much trouble. Akeem was exceptionally helpful and looked after us superbly. Would definitely recommend this Riad, and we felt we had good value for money. Any downside would be probably the breakfast variety, very nice but could possibly do with a bit more variety....only had a few other snacks there so cant really judge as we were out for meals. Our stay was for 9 days and thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

Especially a huge shoutout to Abdul who went above and beyond for us, surprised us both with a slice of cake on my boyfriends birthday, I hadn't even told them it was his birthday, he picked it up when we checked in with our passorts! I couldn't recommend this place enough amazing value for money!

This was the first riad we stayed in and it definitely set a high bar for the rest! When we first walked to the door of the Riad it was very unexpected of what would be inside, however we had pure shock of how stunning the riad is when you first walk in. It is owned by a lovely French lady who was on site a lot of the time, she and her staff were so lovely and helpful would help us with anything we needed, including meeting us from our taxi and helping with bags. The location was amazing as it was a short walk to literally everything in the medina and easy to find. The attention to detail in this riad is like no other everything was perfectly thought out and was definitely probably of the most beautiful interior I have seen and very clean. The roof top was a lovely touch if you wanted to sunbathe as well as the stunning pool on the ground floor.
Cons: The only down fall I would say is the rooms are on the smaller side we found it a little difficult to adjust to the size was we were living out of our cases. This was kind of expected as it isnât a huge riad.

We had the best time staying at Riad Olema. From the very start, it was easy for us to organise a transfer to and from the airport without the stress of haggling with local taxiâs. On arrival, we were greeted by the lovely staff with mint tea and biscuits - which were delicious. Our room was incredible, a very comfy bed with great aircon and lots of space. The daily breakfast was always a highlight with the variation of delicious cakes, breads and pastries. The riad itself is beautiful, so calm and peaceful - the perfect place to relax after being in the busy medina! I would recommend going up to the Jacuzzi to unwind. The location of the riad is perfect, close to all the main attractions of Marrakech without it being in your face. Overall, we had a lovely time and would throughly recommend staying at this riad to anyone visiting.

The staff, especially both Siyads were helpful, attentive, and knowledgable about local attractions and culture. They sent a driver to pick us up with a sign at the airport (which was a touch of luxury I didn't even count on) then immediately gave us mint tea while they carried our bags to the room then explained about the layout of Medina using a map. The breakfast they serve was an amazing start to each day, the shower and soaps/lotions were always an amazing end to the day, the king size bed was the perfect size for sleeping (among other activities) and the overall vibe of the hotel was quiet. Also they have cold water on stand by whenever you need it and charge you for it at the end of your stay (it was 6 moroccan disharm = 60 cents per large water bottle). We also loved the cold rooftop pool where we'd spend the evenings sitting under a bright moon and listening to the sounds of Souks and citizens driving mopeds through the street. Would definitely come back again!
Cons: The AC never got quite cold enough but that's just life in North Africa. Also there are 2 wifi routers on the property, one that services the roof and one that services the first floor. However, our room that overlooked the pool on was on the 2nd floor so the wifi connection was terrible unless we went downstairs or upstairs (try to get a room on the first floor). This could be fixed by adding a 3rd router to the 2nd floor.

Beautiful Riad, most helpful staff all checking how we are and if we needed any help, the staff were great at recommending day passes for other pools and restaurants too, cleaning staff are fantastic, the rooms are beautiful and we want to buy the beds they were so comfortable and cool, great location if you want to be in the medina but still have a relaxing quiet home to go back to, transfer via Riad was great, breakfast was yum, the Riad served alcohol too. Definitely organise the Riad transfer, we were worried as we were delayed but they waited for us with no trouble at all. The staff speak amazing English and obviously fluent French.

Book this Riad now- you will not regret it! The customer service here is outstanding. Hakeem, Sameer and their team provide 5* stellar customer service. They will make you feel right at home whilst tending to your every need with the utmost warmth and care. I truly hope I see the same staff here when I return in future years because they are a total asset to this gorgeous place. The Riad itself is exquisitely beautiful with a perfect ambience to feel you feel soothed and relaxed. Whether you want to sun yourself on the gorgeous rooftop terrace, have lunch poolside or pet the well-behaved house cats (or tortoise!). This stunning Riad and its staff will make this the perfect place for you to unwind and is a safe haven away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. Breakfast is a tasty rotation of speciality pastries, crepes, bread, fruits etc. Its just the right amount of food to start your day off right. One minor issue I have is the fact that the rooftop jacuzzi is not the same as the photos shown on their website which is odd. In reality, it is an older jacuzzi made with green tiling and needs to be upgraded in order to match the image that we see online. This is my only qualm. The rest of the Riad is stunning and is exactly like the photos online so don't let this one minor thing put you off at all. Still a 10/10 experience- Book now!

This riad was absolutely beautiful, we are seasoned travellers and it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed! The athletics were so lovely, the staff were so so attentive especially Abdal, which just made the visit extra relaxing. One of our favourite memories from the trip was having dinner on the roof on our last evening, which was also one of the most delicious meals we ate while in Morocco. We booked the transfer through the riad to the airport and back which I would 100% recommend, breakfast was simple and delicious each day, and the riad was a peaceful break from the busy riad. Olema was set in a beautiful location and easy access to most parts of the old town like the Secret Garden and not too far to walk to the main Jemaa el-Fnaa square. The staff were friendly and the hotel surroundings were really beautiful and well kept.
Cons: Our room wasn't quite ready when we checked in as they were still cleaning the private pool and the water was not clean. There was also some leftover dirty underwear from the guests before us in the laundry basket :( The worst part was that the shower water turned off after less than 5 mins of showering and took another 10 minutes before it came back on after we informed the staff. This happened twice, first to my friend and then to me. Luckily it was a hot day so having to wait for the water to come back on in a cold tiled bathroom wasn't too bad but not a great experience for our first day in Marrakech. We also requested if we could have an early-ish breakfast as we wanted to go out early and wanted our breakfast to be served on time when it starts at 8am. After requesting for breakfast 3 times we finally were served only at 830.

From arrival to departure, the Olema Riad was a fabulous experience. Staff welcomed us from our taxi transfer at a junction and helped us find the entrance down a side street. We were offered mint tea and biscuits and shown around the facilities. The atmopshere inside is the epitome of a riad where it's calm and peaceful inside in contrast to the buzz of the city. The decor is beautiful with a modern twist within a traditional building. The attention to detail such as a single rose in the bathroom is excellent. We used the rooftop jacuzzi one night after a day exploring and it was a brilliant way to unwind with a picturesque skyline as a backdrop. Breakfast was freshly made pastries, tea/coffee and orange juice. We also ate in the riad one night and the pasta dish was delicious. It's about a 15 mins walk to the main square with lots to see on the way there and of course inevitably we got lost among the winding alleyways in the old town but that's all part of the experience! I cannot find fault at all with the riad and would highly recommend it as a stylish base to relax and enjoy Marrakesh.

From start to finish, Riad Olema was exceptional. The staff were attentive, welcoming and friendly - they couldn't do enough for you. (Special shout out to Abdel and Sed!) The riad was gorgeous inside - like a boutique hotel - every little detail was considered - right down to a single rose in the bathroom. It's so beautiful it is a perfect location for a photo shoot. We had a lovely welcome with mint tea and biscuits and even had a lovely dinner on our last night. Breakfast was wonderful too and it was so nice to eat in such pretty and relaxed surroundings. The hot tub on the roof was a major plus - especially after walking all day to soothe tired legs. Location-wise it was great - you are staying in the real Marrakech and are within walking distance of the souks, main square (the meeting point for most excursions/activities) and Koutoubia Mosque. This is not a holiday but a travel experience - we feel very lucky to have stayed and experienced the hospitality at Riad Olema. Thanks to all the staff for an unforgettable stay. :D
Cons: Do allow longer than you think as it is easy to get a bit lost in the warren of souks. (By our last day we were following the road route to bypass the souks completely and walk on a pavement.)

Our stay of Riad Olema was perfect. I have traveled the world and this was one of the most loving and caring traveling environments that I have ever been to. The staff were all amazing. We enjoyed our breakfasts in the courtyard each morning and the warm pool in the afternoon. The Riad is in an excellent location as it is near the taxi stand and easy for car drop offs. I highly recommend staying at Riad Olema. The Riad, is maintained well, it is very clean, stylish and has lots of facilities. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Especially Hakeem ! He went above and beyond during our stay. When we first arrived, he explained the best restaurants and places to visit in Marrakech. He offered us moroccan tea and treats and gave us a tour of the Riad. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable at all times, and asked about our visits. He would serve us breakfeast every morning which included toast, fresh yogurt, jam, omeletes, pastries etc. The food at the Riad is divine ! He also gave us warnings about some people in the area and how they might approach tourists so to remain cautious. Fortunately, we did not have any problems all the locals were lovely. The Riad is in such an ideal position, markets, tourist spots etc are all within walking distance which means you will be able to see alot in a short space of time and really embrace authentic Morrocan culture and cuisine. Overall, I would rate this Riad 5 out of 5 stars !! If you want luxury at a fair price with fantastic service this should be your top choice. If it was not for Hakeem and his service our trip would not have been as memorable to us. He is a fantastic staff memeber and more than that an outstanding genuine person !! Pick this Riad for the best time in Marrakech, you won't regret it !!!

This is a beautiful Riad in a great location for Marrakech Medina. It is walking distance from all the sights, whilst being in a relatively quiet area itself - meaning the Riad feels like an oasis of calm in the busy and bustling medina. The room was beautiful and the roof terrace a great space to relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a lovely stay. 5* would recommend highly.

The staff at Riad Olema are friendly and professional, always asking if you need something. The riad is in a great location and just a short walk to many attractions. The breakfast is lovely, the rooms are very clean, and there are several patio areas to enjoy if you need somewhere to chill out.

Amazing stay at Riad Olema. The staff couldn't do enough to make sure we had a fantastic experience. Abdul was so welcoming, he organised a hot air balloon trip, booking Hammam and massage and even providing tea, cake and flowers for a Birthday surprise. Said was also so helpful, showing us the way to meet our transfer and helping with restaurant recommendations. Great location, close to the Souks.

It was a little oasis behind the bustling streets of Marrakesh. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. Hakim was just so so lovely- always greeted us with a smile and wanted to help as much as he could. The building itself was just absolutely gorgeous. We had one of the smaller rooms but that didn't matter. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The spa treatments were a great add on. My partner had a massage and I had a pedicure. 10 out of 10 for the overall experience.
Cons: Nothing- we loved it!

I loved staying at Riad Olema at Spa! You feel so welcomed as soon as you walk through the door. As a custom you are handed a delightful tea. Hakim the house manager is so helpful and sweet. Your bags are brought to your room and to the cabs when you leave. Breakfast is hot and ready every morning. The experience just makes you want to move in. They are very accommodating and helpful at every turn.
Cons: There isn't much to improve. For it to be located in the heart of the shops you still feel safe. I would have liked my own key to the hotel for when I left out at night, but I understood that you have to ring the bell for precautionary measures.

Breakfast was simple but good, fresh baked goods, fruit, honey, goats cheese, yogurt, tea, or coffee with the option to pay for omelettes. The rooftop space is lovely and peaceful with a Jacuzzi, the pool downstairs is nice and warm . Location ideal. The staff are incredibly attentive, helpful. Hakim was a superstar organising our hammam, and going out of his was to collect bus tickets.

Staff were so nice and accommodating, room was comfortable and as described. I would recommend a few things though - the breakfast is nice but would suggest adding eggs and meat to the menu, the hot tub should be hotter, our excursion to the ouzoud waterfall was filled with surprise charges - Iâd recommend booking with an external group where everything is included (travel, guide, lunch) rather than the hotel.

Cons: It doesnât look like the pictures itâs not as ânewâ as the pictures made it to be. The Riad was overpriced for what it offers. Thereâs a lot of wear and tear down in the building. The wall was pealing, the shower was full of you lime scale. Our room was not cleaned daily and there was no TV.

This riad is so pretty. We loved the Moroccan decor. It is very central just a 20 minute walk to the square or about five minutes in the taxi. The mosque is a great landmark to give to taxis. The service is brilliant. Everyone who works there are extremely friendly especially the men. Syed, Samir. Sophian, Mubarak and Abdel were all so great. It was always a pleasure being greeted by Samir when we came back each night. They gave us good recommendations and were always on hand for any suggestions. As two women we felt very safe at the riad. I would definitely recommend this riad when staying in Morocco.

The pool was really nice, as was our room. The bathroom was spacious and beautiful, and the room was also very spacious with plenty of storage. The location was great - right in the old city.
Cons: The spa was closed, which we were never told before booking. This was something we were expecting and looking forward to, and we were not compensated for the lack of this service. Breakfast was a little less copious and lacked as much protein as we had at other riads in Morocco. The shower did not drain properly, and once we had used all the body wash, it was replaced with shampoo for the rest of our stay.

This is easily one of the nicest places Iâve ever stayed, from the location and the rooms, to the staff and the food. Really conveniently placed, this Riad is full of charm and character. We had a room on the first floor, with a balcony overlooking one of the pool courtyards, which had a comfortable bed, great bathroom (including lovely shower with hot water at any time of the day) and air conditioning. Iâd recommend going for a room on the first floor, as itâs nice to be able to sit with the windows and doors open with a little more privacy than those in the ground floor. We made full use of the facilities, with a wonderful hammam and spa experience, swimming in both pools (a welcome addition after hot days exploring) and soaking in the roof jacuzzi. Itâs so helpful that the staff leave extra towels and sun hats conveniently placed near the pools/on sun beds. However, beautiful decor and structure aside, it is the staff that really make this place special. Everyone we interacted with went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay. An extra special thankyou to Hakim for booking so many excursions for us and giving advice. The food here is also wonderful - just remember to book dinners in advance! We had the best tagine of our whole stay in the riad; so much so we had it thrice. It was lovely to have the option to eat on the roof too, which we did on our final night, and watched the sunset. Honourable mentions to the sweet animals that live here - the two cats that are affectionate and welcoming, and Biliki(sp?) the friendliest tortoise Iâve met. Itâs lovely that thereâs books available to borrow, and having alcoholic drinks available to purchase was also a nice addition.
Cons: I loved everything. The wifi was a little tricky to connect to in our room at times, but this was not really an issue as thereâs plenty of places to sit with super fast wifi around the property, including on our balcony.

What a brilliant experience we had at Olema, canât recommend it enough! The staff were so attentive, especially Sofian, they are always happy to assist with anything you like. The staff were so kind and friendly. Ahkim (not sure on spelling) was amazing! We loved speaking to him and he would always help us. On the first day he would come out of the riad to find us on the street and bring us back to the hotel as we were lost and confused. He went above and beyond always. All other customers seemed to love him too. The design of the riad was stunning. We spent half the trip here and the other half at another hotel and we regretted going to the other hotel. It was so quiet inside the hotel despite the chaos of the markets outside. The rooftop and seating areas were quiet and could sunbathe in peace, very relaxing atmosphere. The tortoise and cat was also fun to have on the communal areas.
Cons: The omelettes should be included in the free breakfast I think. Other than that, the stay was amazing.

A special thank you to Ahkim, one of the staff members, that was an absolute star! He kept checking on us to make sure we were alright, had interest on our adventures, shared loads of tips and places to visit, made sure we were always feed and hydrated and on our last day came to say goodbye to us. Amazing staff. The riad organised a private excursion for us at our request. The riad is really beautiful (lovely relaxing decor). Breakfast was superb. We stayed Thursday and Friday (2 nights). My husband and I spent two nights here as part of our honeymoon, and it truly was one of the highlights of our trip. The riad was gorgeous, well-designed, clean, and relaxing. There are plenty of places to lounge, and we loved how accessible and quiet the pools, rooftop terrace, and jacuzzi were. It's also in a prime location, just a short walking distance from many of Marrakech's main attractions. All that said, the true gems here were the staff. Hakim, Mubarak, and Samir especially were so attentive, helpful, and kind. We spent a lot of time in the riad to beat the hot weather and relative chaos of the city, and the staff was always available and ready to give recommendations, set up meals, book hammam services, etc. On our second night, we made a last minute decision to stay in for dinner and despite the cook having gone home, Samir took our order himself and made one of our favorite meals from our whole trip. The ladies in the hammam were great as well, and it was amazing to have the spa on-site. All in all, the staff really went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional and make us want to come back again in the future. Lastly, we loved the riad pets! The cats and turtle Bilqis were so sweet and made Riad Olema feel so homey.

Loved it! Centrally positioned, beautifully looked after, friendly and stylish. Roof terraces are phenomenal, endless seating areas, jacuzzi, power points for phone charging whilst you sunbathe, plants everywhere. Gorgeous! Rooms/ bathrooms very clean and extremely attractive, traditional lighting. ate here twice - on both occasions food excellent. All staff polite and helpful, but the star is Abdul. Nothing was too much, always ultra helpful - booking trips, suggesting restaurants and booking them for us, giving us info on different places, going through the map with us circling areas of interest. This sadly didnât stop us from getting lost, so he recommended a guide. We had the same guide that someone complained about in an earlier review. Youssef. Yes, after taking us to lots of historical areas, he did ask if we wanted to shop, and take us into large shops where he was clearly known. But he did also make the point that the products in these shops were quality, genuine and made in Marrakech. Also he assisted in bartering twice! I bought some lights with him. On getting them home they are clearly top quality/wired properly. I bought cheaper lights later, (without him) from a souk storeâŠ.vendor insisted were made in Marrakech. Examining them at home, the wiring is dubious and they are clearly nowhere near the same quality. Also they are wrapped in a Chinese newspaperâŠpoint made. The only reason not to stay in this lovely Riad is if climbing stairs is an issue.

Staying at Riad Olema truly felt like an oasis in the Marrakech medina! Rooms were quiet, cool, and the two pools were fantastic (one cold, one slightly warm) plus the spa on the rooftop. Staff were all super kind and helpful, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. Tea and biscuits on arrival while I waited for the room to be ready were much appreciated.

Our room was great, the staff was very nice and extremely helpful, and the food was excellent! We did not use the spa, but I'm sure that would have been excellent as well.

Riad Olema et Spa was a beautiful Riad located in a central location within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. Our room and all common spaces were nicely furnished and decorated. There were many quiet, relaxing spaces to retreat to after a busy day of exploring. The service was exceptional as were the breakfast and snacks. Abdel, one of the staff, was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this palce.

Very Stylish Riad set in a very unassuming street. Lots of attention to detail in the interior and exceptional staff. Our room was great and had beautiful polished concrete floors and thought out decor a good bathroom and the very welcome addition of Air Con which was fantastic as it was 36 degrees. The owner and staff went above and beyond and were so helpful making bookings for us for dinner and organising a Guide ( who was great!), taxis and Tuk Tukâs. Abdel in particular was just so lovely and a real asset to the Riad although everyone was great! Our stay was made by his help in particular. Do book places in advance. Elfinn, Dar Dar, Kabanna and Nomad were all great but need booked and we had a pool day at Beldi Country club which was a welcome retreat. The Riad has a pool but mostly decorative and not really suitable to swim in. the rooftop was nice enough but it was too hot to lie out so we didnât really use it. We asked to have breakfast up there and that was, like everything else, no problem. 5 stars to Riad Olema.
Cons: The location is good for getting around but felt a little bit of a dirtier area compared to another Riad I stayed in but Iâm very very very picky as was near everything!! Also great for taxis! 15 min walk to Souks and Square.

The hotel was great, like an oasis in a hustle and bustle of the city. Staff exceptionally friendly. Room was very comfortable very clean and nicely decorated, breakfast was very good, location was great as well. Just at the beginning of Media and was easy to walk to main attractions. Was great to relax at the rooftop. I loved staying in the hotel and would highly recommend.

The staff was excellent! A well-deserved special mention for Hakim who made it seem like a one man show from checking me in, showing me the map, explaining the directions, serving breakfast, booking the spa, arranging the airport transfer, etc. Excellent service! The location of the riad is perfect for access to all major attractions. Also, a very safe and nice area.
Cons: Too noisy - first night they were replacing the water heater, hammering and drilling from 11 pm to 3 am. Second night some guests came around 11 pm, loud in the lobby for a few hours. Third night, the cats in the riad started fighting. Water pressure and temperature is very temperamental. Room was much smaller than expected. Overall a little stingy - toiletries are not provided until entirely finished, if you ask for more pastries at breakfast, only one more is given. Hammam was unceremonious and the massage was quite bad, had a horrible pain in my left shoulder after it. The direction/flow of the massage was quite wrong since the beginning so maybe I should have stopped it earlier.

This Riad is so beautiful! It is in the centre with an excellent location. It is an oasis of calm amongst the hustle and bustle of marrakech. The riad was kept well maintained and clean. Staff were really kind, attentive and helpful. It was great for privacy and is an upmarket but budget friendly stay. I had also booked a massage during my stay which was exceptional as the masseuse was very passionate and did such a relaxing massage!
Cons: The only things are that the breakfast was a little basic. Eggs, honey and a wider variety of fruits & pastries should be included within the breakfast. Furthermore, we were helped with our bags when we arrived to the Riad (as cars canât stop right outside the riad) but it wouldâve been nice to be helped with our bags when leaving the riad too.

Exceptional service throughout the duration of our stay here. The staff were outstandingly attentive and catered to all of our needs. For example, when it rained, the staff went out of their way to get us an umbrella from a local shop free of charge.

This Riad is beautiful! It has such a charm and attention to detail. It felt like a true and authentic Moroccan experience. Very clean space as well. The staff here are the heroes though. They provided utmost hospitality and were incredibly helpful in guiding us around the medina and Marrakech in general. They set up airport pickup and gave us suggestions on where to visit and eat in Marrakech. The breakfast is also incredible-- extremely elaborate and delicious

The staff are wonderful people and the room and Riad is nicely decorated. The bed mattress is hard as a rock and needs replacing. The breakfast is basic and needs improvement. The management is corrupt. They arranged a guide for my wife and I to show us around the Medina Area. The guide (Youssef) put us in high pressure sales situations at stores where he obviously receives a commission. We naively bought goods at these stores that were 2 to 3 times higher in price over market value (we later found the same exact goods at other stores for less than half the price). We mistakenly assumed that any guide the Riad Olema recommends would be honest and would have our best interest at heart. Unfortunately that was not the case. We believe the manager (Alexandra) knows this takes place for when I complained she said they have arranged for the guide (Youssef) many times with hotel guests and never had a complaint, yet an employee of the Riad told us that other hotel guests have complained to him personally of the same problem. Also, the Riad Manager refuses to stop using the guide Youssef even after our complaints. The only rational conclusion we can surmise is that the management and/or Riad Olema must be receiving a financial incentive in return for allowing their guests to be swindled. Iâm sure the management will try to refute these statements below but this is the honest truth of what happened.

For my fiancé and I this was an amazing experience it felt like we were staying with family in a palatial estate. The staff was over the top friendly and accommodating, and really made a distinct effort to try to take care of you despite language barrier. Yes you can get around with English and there were very few times when we felt the need to Google translate. I would definitely stay here again and cannot say enough good things about the staff. Well, everyone we interacted with was wonderful, Saeed and Abdel were exceptional. We stayed in room eight, which overlooked a courtyard with a pool spent several nights on the rooftop talking the night away just a magical experience. Tips are definitely not expected but seriously the cost of living in Marrakesh is super low so a two or five dollar tip is the least you can do as a fellow human being to someone who is caring for you. When we landed at the airport, we immediately cashed $200 into the local currency (MAD)and then did visit ATMs a couple times to get the local currency local vendors will take dollars but it felt more comfortable conducting business in the small shops with the local currency. Most nicer restaurants will take Credit cards. Walking through the crowded streets, we never felt unsafe (my fiancé is a beautiful blonde who stands out. I was worried about that, but had absolutely no rudeness) with the local vendors, you could probably cut their asking price in half as a starting point.
