The Hotel Central had been a top hotel in its day, with a great history. Furnishings and fittings were a little bit tired, but it had a great atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent and an on-site cafe provided great coffee! The staff were helpful and efficient. The location was perfect, at one end of a plaza and near a gate to the Medina. It was a short walk to a tram stop.

Wij hadden een 3 persoonskamer. De grootte van de kamer was prachtig. veel ruimte. 1 tweepersoons bed en 2 losse bedden. koelkastje op kamer We hadden 2 balkons waar we erg gezellig hebben gezeten, De kamer zit direct naast een uitgaansgelegenheid, waar tot iets na 21:30 uur muziek was. Dat hield daarna op, terwijl het weekend was.
Cons: De hygiëne was slecht. de bedden en de vloer waren wel schoon. schimmel op het plafond hele vieze lichtknopjes Er waren maar twee stopcontacten alleen bij het tweepersoons bed Een ander aanwezig stopcontact was al in gebruik door de koelkast de gehele badkamer was vies! beschimmelde voegen, vieze, vieze deur, plankje onder spiegel was vies. gelukkig leek het toilet wel schoon en er lagen schone handdoeken. De kamer heeft enkel glas en is daardoor wel erg gehorig.

Behulpzaam en goed engels sprekend personeel. In het aangrenzende theehuis/restaurant wordt een goed ontbijt verzorgd voor maar 3 euro. Goede koffie voor 1 euro. Ligging is aan de rand van de Medina. De kamer had wat nodig was.

O hotel é bem localizado, da pra ir a pé ate a Mesquita Hassan II e tem uma bonita vista. O quarto era confortável e limpo, nos atendeu bem. O café da manhã foi bem gostoso e pudemos tomar na sacada de nosso quarto, que ficava no rooftop.
Cons: O chuveiro era péssimo, pouca água e ou estava fria, ou quente demais. Além de o espaço para banho ser pequeno demais. O único problema. No mais o hotel era bom.

Cons: Dadurch, dass das Hotel schon in die Jahre gekommen ist, und an vielen Ecken renoviert werden müsste, ist es auch nicht isoliert und von der Straße aus etwas laut. Aber so ist Casablanca.

If you want to submerge yourself into a cultural environment this is the place. Placed in a courtyard of cafes and music. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. Recommended a delicious Moroccan restaurant within walking distance, Sqala the best meal and atmosphere our entire stay in Morocco.
Cons: Some might think the surroundings a bit grungy but for the experience we loved it. There is no lift and all rooms are above ground level. It was a bit noisy but earplugs saved me.

Good location just inside the medina overlooking a small square. Budget hotel with tiled floors, no lift, decent sized room with a balcony window. Basic, clean, a little tired but decent. Paid for an extra half day to stay an extra 5 hours due to to late flight out.
Cons: Bathroom basin leaked, shower was very small. Even though I'd upgraded my booking to a room with a bathtub I was informed when I arrived that there were no rooms with bathtubs.

Location is very good if you like to experience vibrant local life. Sorrounded by local cafe and restaurants, walking distance to old town center. Perfect if you like shopping, plenty of money changer around. A bit too far from the beach, you need to jump in taxi for 10mins ride, cost about 25 to 30dirhams which is about £2. Catch the red taxi, its cheaper than the big white ones. Dont be alarmed when driver picks up another passenger while ur in the taxi, this is normal. Most taxi drivers are honest, but we came accross one that is a scumbag.

The building was really beautiful knowing that it has been existing for years. You still get a feel a bit of tradition despite Casablanca getting more modernized. The location was really nice too as it is close to the mosque and the medina. Very lovely and accommodating staff too!
Cons: There’s a really big potential in this hotel. I do understand that it is old but maybe it would have been nice to renovate and upgrade some of the facilities. My main problem was there wasn’t any fans in the room which forced us to open the balcony which created more problems as insects/mosquitos went inside the room and the noise from outside was such a disturbance that I had a hard time sleeping. So I had to choose between having a peaceful night sleep or drench in my sweat.

The hotel in colonial style had its own atmosphere. The three balconies that belonged to the room were amazing. The noise from the square in combination with the room really takes you back in time. Opposite is a restaurant where African and Arabic music plays in the evening and it's amazing. Be careful, only until about 10 or 11 p.m., don't worry.

Great location on typical and lively nice square with trees and close-by good restaurants We appreciated spending time on our own balcony with small table and chair From the roof top terrasse of the hotel, we could even enjoy the view on the ocean and the harbour.

A very comfortable stay! The communication with Rachid was quick and efficient since the moment of booking. The transfer from the airport they organized was great, especially since my flight was late evening, I was a solo traveller and for the first time in Marocco. Room was basic but comfortable, especially I appreciated the kettle (there are also kettles in every floor) and tea-coffee, which was very handy to make some cereals and coffee for the breakfast since I left very early. There is a nice roof terrace with a view and also a seating areas on every floor. And the kept my luggage aftwr check-out until the evening. The location is convenient. 20 minutes walking to the Hassan II mosque and a supermarket right at the corner. For me everything was perfect! Thank you! Will happily return!
Cons: A little bit noisy from the street (there is a square, many people talking till late) but after the flight it wasn't disturbing my sleep at all ;)

Location is perfect! - next to the old Medina, short drive to the Mohammed II mosque, 5 mins walk from Casa Porte railway hub with direct trains to & from airport. Historic 103-yr-old hotel (first one in Casablanca) with classic wooden folding shutters. Room a bit run down due to age but comfortable and private. Only half the 3rd floor rooms have the fabulous sea view but the terrace above them is free for everyone. Good breakfast, cool old dining room/cafe on ground floor

The room doesn't have AC but it was cool and comfortable at all times. We requested a room on the opposite side of the medina plaza and it was quiet. Breakfast was good and fulfilling. The rooftop terasse is nice. The staff was really helpful! We enjoyed our stay !

It felt really bohemian, with a little table and chairs on a balcony overlooking the square below. Just a block from the harbor, it was wonderful sleeping with the doors to the balcony open and feeling the fresh air. The hotel is just inside the medina and a comfortable walk to the Hassan II mosque. We were only in Casablanca for an afternoon and an evening on our way home, and it was all we wanted. Staff was very helpful with lining up early morning transprtation to the airport.
Cons: I had expected to be able to pay in advance or with a credit card. We had enough cash, so it wasn't a big problem, but it was unexpected.

I have a great time here. The location is great, in the center of Casablanca. I can walk from here to the Hassan II Mosque and also the Marjan supermarket nearby. I think it is worth the money and the time.

Abbiamo dormito qui solo per una notte per prendere l'aereo di ritorno al mattino seguente. Stanza tripla grande e comoda, la doppia un po' piccola. Staff disponibile e gentile. Posto comodo da raggiungere dal lungomare, ma probabilmente non ottimale per una visita prolungata alla città. Il quartiere circostante non offre un gran senso di sicurezza. Tutto sommato accettabile. Purtroppo non abbiamo potuto testare la colazione perché abbiamo dovuto lasciare l'albergo prima dell'orario del servizio, ma sono stati comunque disponibili ad anticipare di poco quantomeno per un caffè e un paio di croissants da portare via.

The room was cold and they provided the heater. We didn’t enjoy our stay, though it was alright for the money we paid.

Zimmer war geräumig, Dusche und WC waren i.o. , Balkon ging zum Außenbereich, wo es tagsüber ruhig war, aber am Abend laute Musik und das gleich aus mehreren Kneipen. Sehr enge Zufahrt zum Hotel, und wenn man Glück hat, bekommt man einen Parkplatz, wo es jedoch keine Wendemöglichkeiten gibt, also nur Rückwärtsfahren und nicht in die umliegenden Gassen fahren, da geht es kaum vor- und rückwärts. Am besten unten am Straßenrand parken, da kommt dann zwar einer zum abkassieren, aber man hat keine weiteren Probleme. Im Haus gibt es keinen Fahrstuhl, aber ein freundlicher Boy trug unsere Koffer in die 1. Etage.

I stay at Hôtel Central for many reasons; its proximity to the train station that leads to the airport, its old world charm and lively neighborhood, and the attentive staff.
Cons: Nothing in this category. Although I would advise guests who are sensitive to noise or wish to find a quiet neighborhood to look elsewhere. This hotel is located in a vibrant neighborhood with lots of activity.

Die Lage war der Grund für die Wahl dieser Unterkunft. Von dort konnten wir sowohl zu Fuß als auch mit dem ÖPNV alle geplanten Unternehmungen starten. Das Frühstück war ok. Man bekam das, was Marrokaner sich unter einem eruopäischen Frühstück vorstellen;-)
Cons: Wir mussten das Zimmer wechseln, weil das erste Zimmer mit einer tollen Aussicht aufs Meer und den vor dem Hotel befindlichen Platz nachts von Jugendlichen bevölkert war, die meinten, bis um 4:30 Uhr am Morgen Fußball spielen zu müssen. Begleitet wurde das Spiel von lauten Rufen und Jubelschreien. Das machte Schlafen nahezu unmöglich.

I loved the fact that this is the oldest hotel in Casablanca, operating since 1906, and it truly feels like you’ve stepped back in time once you enter the front door. The room I had gave a lovely view of the port + I love how spacious the rooms are. The bed was super firm [which I loved] + just the entire personality of the place for someone who loves antiques + old fashioned things was wonderful.
Cons: The toilet was dirty when I first entered my room + the floor around the toilet was wet, so I cleaned it myself with antiseptic wipes. Also my shower head was not connected to the wall which made for an interesting shower.

I have stayed here before for the nostalgia, not the comfort. Please be aware that this hotel is in a state of disrepair but it’s like stepping in a Time Machine which makes it amazing.
Cons: There was hair and dirt all over the spare blanket, I had to air it out on the deck. My shower head was broken so I couldn’t have a shower without holding the head in one hand. There was a leak in my shower so the water ran behind the toilet.

Three of us stayed two nights in late Nov 2024. Weather was mild-chilly. The corner classic colonial building (and surrounding area) was very 'lived in' and atmospheric. I was apprehensive about being between the medina and Port and was concerned about general safety in the area. But it turned out better than expected. Not a lot of tourists at the time. Most were locals -- men and women of all ages -- going about their lives. The location was ideal for transport (rail from Airport, tram terminus, buses to Hassan II Mosque, walkable sightseeing). The immediate vicinity of a small square surrounded by a bank and exchange, convenience shops, eateries was a huge bonus. Brightly lit by nearby main thoroughfare and lanes feeding into the square and above establishments. There's an open rooftop which afforded lovely views and a discrete place to have a cigarette (as women smoking in public is frowned upon, mainly by the older generation). The day and night managers were friendly and helpful as were the cleaning ladies. The ambience of the hotel was that which had seen better days but still managing to capture some of its past glory in snatches of architectural details and its service. It has no elevator but the elegant spiral staircase, comfortably wide and airy, takes you to the spacious landings of each of the four floors above. Our double rooms on the first and second floors had french doors and slatted shutters opening out onto a small balcony with cafe table and chairs. It faced onto the small square but we don't remember being disturbed by noises and would keep the curtains drawn and french doors ajar when we slept. There's a built-in wooden cupboard and two small side tables to our double bed, also a small round table with two chairs and electric kettle with tea sachets. The bathroom was functional with adequate facilities, hot water pressure.

It’s a charming, traditional Moroccan hotel located near both the medina and the sea. It’s close to La Sqala, Rick’s Café, and the Hassan II Mosque. The reception staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel is a cute, clean hotel. Like it a lot.

Cons: Сантехника и ванная комната старые и ждут ремонта. Красивая площадь с несколькими кафе под окном создают оборотную сторону - в номере шумно до поздней ночи. Но если вы приехали в Касабланку развлекаться, то это не минус.

Belle grandeur de chambre, à 20min à pied de la Mosquée, à 15min du centre d'achat Marina Shopping, 5 min de la Médina. Personnel répond vite via l'application pour vos demandes.
Cons: Nous avons reservé une chambre avec 2 lits simples et douche privative. La douche dans la chambre est minuscule, la rideau de douche vous colle dessus et j'ai fermé le robinet 3 fois juste en me tournant. Il y avait encore des chips sous mon lit de l'ancien voyageur et un kleenex usés sur le bord de la fenêtre. Il y a un parc et des restaurants devant l'hôtel donc si votre chambre donne sur la rue principale apportez-vous des bouchons car bruyant jusqu'à tard le soir. Aucun draps plat dans le lit: il y avait le draps-contour pour le matelas et une couette chaude, aucun draps plat. Nous avons demander d'avoir un draps simple car la couette était trop chaude, et on nous a apporter un 2e draps contour... ça a fait le travail. Attention si vous arrivez par la gare Casa Voyageur ou Casa Oasis : ne payez pas plus de 40 dirhams votre taxi.... on a pris le taxi à la gare Casa Voyageur à 80 dirhams et pour retourner à la gare le chauffeur nous a charger 10 dirhams seulement hahaha... négocier votre prix avant d'embarquer ! Comme partout au pays d'ailleurs.

Is close to casa port and the Hassan mosque is within walking distance but there is not much around the area and it isn’t very safe to walk around alone at night. The staff was very helpful through a lost baggage situation.
Cons: Facilities are poor and could use improvement, lots of noise from the street outside and the bathrooms/showers could be updated. It’s fine for a short stay but not comfortable to stay more than 2 nights for the price point would have expected a bit more.

Cons: Hat mit normalen Hotelstandards nichts zu tun. Die Zufahrt ist unzumutbar ebenso wie die Lautstärke am Abend und in der Nacht. Bis kurz vor 3 Uhr war das Nachtleben in vollem Gange. Für Familien total ungeeignet. Ausstattung sehr veraltet. Casablanca erfüllt zudem keinerlei nostalgische oder anderweitige Vorstellungen...extrem schmutzig in der Altstadt.

The staff (woman on duty at front desk during the day and man on duty early the next morning) were fabulous, very courteous and reliable. They gave me good advice and ensured that my taxi to the airport was ready at 5:30am the next morning. The location was very convenient being a short and direct walk to the train station. The room and hotel had a lot of old world charm and the neighborhood was interesting.

The location is very close to Casa Port train station. The staff are very nice and helpful. The location is inside the medina so it is a bit noisy but it was not really an issue for me.
Cons: The hotel is an art deco building maybe around 100 years old. It's gorgeous. I hope the owner will invest more to the facility. It has potential but as of now, it is crumbling. Even if the staff cleans the room, still the overall vibe of the hotel can be improved.

This is an old hotel but has a lot of traditional Moroccon character which I really liked. The location is fabulous. It is on the outskirts of the old medina and not too far from the mosque. The staff were also able to answer questions and organised a last minute pick up from the airport (which is definitely worth getting).
Cons: Although my room location was fabulous in that it overlooked a little puplic square and cafes, it was quite noisy during the night. This is a bit of a problem for a light sleeper.

Хорошее расположение- в пешей доступности вокзал Casa Port. В центре Медины. Большой Мега- Молл. Мечеть Хассана в 10 мин. Приятный вид на океан и порт. Горячая вода- супер, были гели и жидкое мыло, туалетная бумага, белье свежее. Удобная, мягкая кровать и подушка. Вид с балкона и террасы захватывающий. ❤️🔥 Весь отель- аутентично- старинный, в ретро стиле, для ценителей всего такого.
Cons: Очень маленький номер. Некуда было положить вещи. Очень маленький душ. Немного шумно с улицы , т к внизу кафе.

Very charming hotel, in a shabby chic way. Great location, very warm and friendly staff, especially Rachid. Nice enough breakfast and good coffee.

Cons: The non smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke. It stunk. Changed rooms but had the same problem. The area was filthy with a street fight happening as we arrived by taxi. Impossible to get away from people smoking.

The hotel location was good, you can walk to the mall, to Rick's cafe, even to Hassan II. It's close to train station Gare Casa Port. If you come from the train station, gare Casa Voyageurs you should pay the taxi to the hotel 10dh (1euro) if they put the taxi meter, but if you arrive at night they tried to charge us 10euro, but finally found one with 5euro. (at night they don't put the machine, so you need to bargain). The room was basic, 2 beds and bathroom, but it was very good. The breakfast was good.

Close to the Medina
Cons: I would be dubious about having breakfast there as the cook didn’t wash his hands after sneezing and coughing- really put me off. If you are looking for a real Moroccan experience there are better hotels, the pictures on line look great but the reality is they are just simple basic small rooms , perhaps a little crowded for 2 pax and luggage but solo it’s ok.

カサポート駅、CTMバスターミナルまで徒歩圏内、ハッサン2世モスクも徒歩15〜20分、という好立地。階段がないので、3階の部屋まで荷物の上げ下ろしをスタッフさんにお願いした。部屋は広くはないが、コンパクトで1人には十分な広さ。部屋に湯沸かしポットがあるのが良かったし、各フロアの踊り場にに湯沸かしポットとお水が置かれていた。部屋には小さなバルコニーもあり、公園、港が見える景色もポイント。 オーナーさんの対応も、空港行きのONCFの時刻や、ハッサン2世モスクの営業時間、wifi の説明など、分かり易くて良かった。 建物は歴史をかんじさる、素敵なインテリア。この条件でこの価格はおすすめだと思う。
Cons: バスルームの下水の匂いが気になった。ドライヤーを貸してください、と頼んで後で持ってくる、と言われたが、持ってきてもらえなかった。

La stanza era spartana come nelle foto, ma pulita.
Cons: L'hotel è in una pessima posizione. Sotto è pieno di bar frequentati da soli uomini che probabilmente ci vivono visto che ci stanno dalla mattina alla notte (e si sentono urlare dalla stanza). Non ci siamo sentite al sicuro. La zona è abbastanza pericolosa, sta nella Medina antica, abbiamo preso un taxi per tornare e il tassista era preoccupato all'idea di farci fare 50m a piedi da sole là. La stanza era come nelle foto, ma molto umida. Abbiamo trovato le lenzuola umide, non sappiamo se fosse perché non asciugate bene o per l'umidità in generale. Non c'è l'ascensore. Rooftop carino ma un po' sporco.

Very convenient location to Casa Port Train Station. Good number of shops and a large mall on the waterfront nearby. Hotel is basic in an old building facing the common square which gets loud till late at night; otherwise, it is fine and clean for an overnight stay if you are transiting.

Excellent location to the old media of Casablanca and the food markets, also across from the hotel is a wonderful Bazar worth visiting as it supports local artists showcasing traditional Moroccan skills in weaving, wood work, jewellery making, ceramics, art, leather and textiles in a modern way. Shower was hot and strong and a little small but it’s an old building so you expect that. It’s not a fancy hotel but if you just want a clean room and good location for a good price, then this will be ideal.
Cons: Breakfast is traditional with omelette, breads and pastries, but the chef could use some lessons in hygiene. Beds are a little hard, rooms a little stuffy but open the doors to let some air in and it’s fine.

The staff were very kind and welcoming. The location was excellent- walking distance to either the train station or bus station and near the medina. It has a cute balcony that looks out over the port. I loved the nostalgia. It is full of history and felt like you stepped back in time. I would definitely recommend this to others. I thought the beds were comfy too.

Staff was great. Very helpful. I loved our little room with the balcony facing the front plaza. The location is great for walking around . We stayed here on the last day of a 3-week trip and easily got a cab to the airport in the morning.

Perfect location, near the harbour - a few blocks away and you are in the Old Medina (more of a "fake goods" medina though). The hotel has a great feeling to it, even though a little deprecated. It is like traveling back in time.
Cons: I ended up paying more than the lobby price. Considerably more. With all genius discounts applied. And since it was a no cancellation...nothing to do. The hotel staff advised me to contact them directly the next time, or via their website. This should be looked into by booking.com staff. The check-in guy was...let's say a little incapacitated. Took forever for the formalities. Just our luck, as the other two shifts were completely different. Also, credit card was not accepted, despite all info provided (even a "visa" logo on the hotel door). The POS "didn't have paper"!?!. I had to go out and take money from an ATM to pay, with the ATM commissions included, obviously.
