Colazione inclusa, ottima! Letto e cuscini comodi.

Just wow! The most beautiful riad which we met during our trip in Morocco. Staff was so kind and helpful. We got all needed information about the medina and locations of main streets, attractions and areas of Fes. Also we received the breakfast with us at 4:30 AM as we had very early train to Marrakech and we really appreciate it. Thank you for the hospitality!

Pleasant riad with friendly staff. Not far from the main streets that form the heart of the medina.

As a digital nomad. Internet connectivity is of prime importance where I stay. Several other Riads in the old medina noted they have very poor internet. The internet here was very surprising (good!) 110 to 190 Mbps with 34 to 117ms loaded latency - much better than I would have ever thought available in northern Africa. The location of this Riad in the old medina is charming and wonderful especially for the price. Staff is exceedingly helpful and very friendly. Rooftop terrace offered multiple dining or relaxing areas and great views day or night. Mint tea or coffee at any time of day is a wonderful tradition. Included breakfast was nice to have if not very interesting. Each morning's egg dish and fresh orange juice was very good, but the Moroccan crepes while authentic I'm sure, were generally a bit underwhelming. Daily maid service was very nice to have, and booking of hammam service at nearby sister Riad was also convenient and well done. My room was large and had a desk and sitting bench, bed was comfy with lots of pillows.
Cons: This is a 1,000+year old building that was a multi-generational family home. All Riads are, so this one is not different. However, not much has been done in the way of upgrades in the past few decades (but the internet is great!). Doors and windows do not close fully, are very thin, some don't have shades to block others viewing in, and there is no sound insulation at all. All 8 rooms on 3 levels of the Riad all open into the central enclosed space. If somebody in any other room had a conversation or a sneeze, every single other person in every room knew about it. There is a very hush-hush sense of zero personal or private space. The bathroom is one additional thin and not fully closing door away, but if you were having a difficult day in the bathroom, everyone else staying in the Riad definitely hears it and knows. This made it very difficult and inconvenient to accomplish work, trying to do VoIP phone calls, or even to talk to one other person in your room without the entire building knowing who you were talking to. Almost zero privacy. If you've never been to Morocco before, you are in for culture shock! I had also never been to Fes before and nobody explained to me that hiring a taxi from the airport that they would not be able to drop off anywhere near to the Riad, that I would get dumped with my bags in the middle of the street and would be on my own or at the mercy of street hustlers to lead me into the tiny old steep streets of the Medina to try and find my way to the Riad - that was quite extreme culture shock and it would have been nice to have been informed about this in advance. One other normal and authentic but inconvenient situation is that Moroccan staircases are tiny - very large rise in the steps (think 12 inches high each), and many steps up and down in tight confines and never an elevator - staying in a Riad is not for older people or those with sensitive or bad knees.

Amazing five night stay. There are only 7 rooms so you will get very personal attention starting with welcome tea and explanation of local sights and map. Riad is very traditional with beautiful tilework and colored windows. Bit confusing to find at first as the name on the door says "family oedghiri" not the name of the hotel. There is a little shop beside that sells drinks and snacks. Very walkable to all the sights and close to the Blue Gate. Breakfast is on the roof which is a slow process as they have to bring the tray up for each person from the ground floor. Staff is young, very friendly with perfect English. For my early morning day trip they gave a bagged breakfast for 7am departure as normal breakfast time is 830am. Very relaxing stay for my five nights and good central base from which to explore all of Fes. Just noise from people talking in the common areas but that was the same in all the Riads I stayed at. Cover picture on tripadvisor with a lake and trees is wrong.

During our two weeks in Morocco, we stayed in nine different accommodations and without a doubt, this was the best of them all. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth, mint tea, and genuine smiles that immediately made us feel at home. Hajar was incredibly welcoming and kind. She took the time to explain how to navigate the city, shared wonderful local recommendations, and was always ready to help with anything we needed. Her friendliness set the tone for our entire stay. Abdul, deserves a very special mention. He was truly the heart of the riad, always cheerful, caring, and attentive to every little detail. No matter the time of day, he was there with a smile, making sure everything was perfect. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable, and his sincerity and positive energy made such a lasting impression on us. It’s rare to meet someone so genuinely kind and dedicated to his work. We will always remember his warmth and hospitality with great affection. Mohammed was also wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, and generous with his time. As a local, he kindly offered to accompany us to the best places for leather goods, making our experience even more special. The food at the riad was delicious every single time. We enjoyed dinner there two nights in a row because everything was just that good! The kefta tajine and fresh salad are highly recommended, and the freshly pressed orange juice was the perfect touch. We stayed in Room Seven, which was beautifully decorated, colorful, spacious, and spotless. The big windows overlooking the riad added such a lovely, peaceful atmosphere. The terrace upstairs also has a great view of the city and was very comfortable and had a nice feeling of being home. To everyone at Riad Dar El Ouedghiri, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, friendliness, and warmth. You made our stay truly unforgettable.

I truly want to share a few words about this riad because it deserves it. From the moment we arrived, everything was beyond expectations. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the medina but peaceful and easy to reach. The riad itself is stunning and charming. Every corner reflects attention to detail. Our room was spacious, well decorated and really clean. The breakfast is good and served in this beautiful terrance with a stunning view on the medina. What made our stay so great, though, was the staff. Mohamed welcomed us with a warm smile, speaking fluent Italian (one of many languages he knows!), and offered us tea while explaining the medina and pointing out what to see and do. Every member of the team was kind, respectful, and genuinely welcoming — always there when you needed them, but never intrusive. I sincerely wish the best to this wonderful team and highly, highly recommend this riad. If you’re coming to Fes, don’t think twice — book here. You’ll be glad you did.

Five night stay - excellent experience. Greet you with welcome tea and explain local sights. Small boutique Riad with only 7 rooms so they give very personalized attention. Bit confusing at first to find as no street names and the name outside says "Family Oedghiri" not the name of hotel as listed. Good breakfast on the roof but the poor chap has to carry all the trays up all the stairs so be patient. Very beautiful interior with tilework. Shop outside selling basic goods. All the sights/bazaars are walkable.

A beautiful riad in the medina of Fez. The roof terrace is very nice and the interior is also stylishly furnished. The room was fine. What was outstanding was the service. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous. I had eaten something in a restaurant that caused an allergic reaction. Without being asked, a member of staff went to the pharmacy to get me medication for it and they didn't even charge me. That's what I call outstanding service.

Centrally located nicely appointed Riad. It has a nice terrace with a beautiful view of the Medina. Hajar, the face of the Riad was wonderful. She met us at the taxi drop off area and escorted us to the Riad deep in the Medina. We were greeted with tea and nibbles and she gave us a good overview of sites to visit along with restaurant recommendations. She was always helpful and smiling. She also prepared breakfasts to go on the morning of our departure as we had to leave early.
Cons: Our room was off the public atrium so we could not open the windows (due to lack of privacy) and the only other window was through the bathroom. The bathroom seemed to have a lingering odor even with the window always open (plumbing issue?) The shampoo and body wash were very watery and did not lather. Finally, the breakfast was just average compared to others and the morning staff was one person struggling to deliver up to the roof terrace so there were long waits to get served.

Heel erg vriendelijk personeel.

This was the most beautiful traditional riad we stayed in during our Morocco trip, and Mohammed and his team were absolutely fantastic, efficient, friendly, and incredibly helpful! Breakfast on the roof was fabulous with gorgeous views and delicious food. The interior decor is amazing, the whole place is calm and peaceful ....a must stay place in Fes.100% plus!!

Absolutely wonderful stay! The service was outstanding – we were warmly welcomed and offered tea, coffee, and water, even in the evening. We were picked up at Fontaine Batha after our taxi drop-off, which made everything very easy. The breakfast was delicious, and the location is perfect: just a short walk to the two main shopping streets and Bab Boujloud. The interior is beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail, and the little rooftop terrace is just lovely. We truly enjoyed our time here and can only recommend it!

Such incredible staff. Everyone was so kind, giving us a detailed explanation of where to visit in the city, amazing included breakfast, attentive service for everything we needed. We almost booked a tour with a fake tour guide and our hotel helped us arrange an incredible tour and checked in throughout the day to make sure we were ok. Best hospitality I’ve ever had. The rooms and riad are also beautiful. It’s truly a work of art.

Very welcoming and warm staff make you feel like home. Hajar was lovely greet us and patiently explained everything, include mapping the town, attractions, culture etc. Abdul was very attentive and very helpful when we need him. They also helped us a lot for our luggage due to my partner’s mobility issue. The rooftop terrace is the best! You will have a full view of the Medina which is amazing. All the staff were really sweet just like your family, plus there is always mint tea there when you need. Breakfast is great, it’s a shame we were not feeling well so not able to eat everything. The building is traditional and has beautiful design if you like culture and history there are stories here. Close to everything you need, shops around, also close to most attractions you can easily get to them by foot.
Cons: Very narrow staircase not suitable for people with mobility issue, also not even height on stairs, especially last two steps into the terrace, it’s a hazard need to pay extra attention. Riad has no outward window or ventilation so smells sewage sometimes. Shower screen can’t stop water getting out so you can easily flood the whole bathroom, we managed to just use hand held to avoid that situation.

Świetna baza wypadowa do zwiedzania miasta.

- Excellent location, right in the heart of the medina. - Clean - The breakfast was heavenly. I regret not having more of it!! - Awesome rooftop. Lovely for late night chats and tea, which we did! - Very friendly and helpful staff. Hajjar, Mohammed and Abdul really went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. It was actually my birthday trip and my friends surprised me with a cake, with Mohammed’s help, which we’re all very appreciative of. Also Abdul came to pick and drop us off, which was very kind, otherwise we would have been lost!

Everything! The staffs are adorable and attentive! The moment I came, the woman (Fatima?) staff asked me right away if I want breakfast. She made sure I'm comfortable first before she did all the necessary check-in process. She gave me the map of the Medina and places to see with a bit of history of these places. Mohamed (I believe that's his name) also did not fall short with his hospitality. The room is cleaned every day. The terrace? Ugh the terrace! I must have spent my most time in there. Love it!!! Also love that its close to the entrance of the Medina and thank goodness its not in the Medina. You'll know why once you decide to visit. The breakfast is big and delicious! I dont know if its just because its low season but during my visit, tea and coffee all day free!

The property was beautiful, the room was very spacious and had a window to get good ventilation. 10 minutes from the blue gate and the Medina, easy accesss to guided tour picks ups. The room was unique with tiles in the bathroom and stained glass windows which was a charming touch. The terrace was amazing for the sunrise and a cam moment at night. Heder and Mohammed & Abdul are SO friendly & helpful, and the Riad is so beautiful!! Stayed longer than I originally planned, it's so lovely. I originally booked the cheapest room & ended up staying extra days in the largest (family room, tons of stained glass & french windows) because little room already booked. Both have private bathrooms & both are great value for money. 2 rooftop terraces, enormous breakfast, bottomless coffee/mint tea (green tea with mint added). And location is awesome!! Right in the middle of the Medina. Heder supplied a map and helpful directions & I wandered around solo very happily. Solo Moroccan women don't seem to go out much after dark so I didn't. And of course I didn't dress like I was going clubbing in Berlin!! Long linen pants, tank top with a scarf around my neck, no problems at all, everyone very helpful. But totally need Google maps and/or helpful hosts like these, it's a funky labyrinth in the Medina!

The location was perfect for visiting Fes, and the staff were lovely and accommodating. The terrace, where breakfast was served, afforded a gorgeous, birds-eye view of the city.
Cons: While the riad itself was clean, the large carpet in our room was very dirty. It would have been far better to have no carpet at all for hygienic purposes. We also informed the staff that the sink and toilet had leaks/issues, and they were apologetic (hopefully these issues were fixed).

With my husband we had a wonderful stay, it was the best riad we stayed at in Morroco. Beautiful, big and clean room. We got an explanation with a map what is worth visiting and how to move around medina, every time we came back to riad we were asked if we want any tea and if everything is good. If we'd have a chance to come back to Fez we'll definetly choose this riad.

I had a wonderful stay at this B&B! The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the old Medina, which made it easy to explore the city. What really touched me was their generosity: they even helped two young Italian girls whose cards weren’t working, letting them stay and eat for free so they wouldn’t be left out on the street. That kind of humanity is rare and says everything about the heart of this place. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and authentic experience.

We had a lovely stay at Riad Dar El Ouedghiri. The location is great, just a short walk to the Medina, which made getting around very convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The place is clean and well-maintained, with brand new toilet facilities and a TV in the room, which added to our comfort. And the Moroccan charm of the place is really amazing! The food was absolutely delicious, both the breakfast and their menu selection exceeded our expectations. The only minor downsides were the narrow stairs and that sound can carry a bit from the hallway, but those were small issues compared to the overall experience. It’s a warm, welcoming place to stay and definitely worth considering!

We had dinner at the Riad on our first night, in the interior dining room which is very pretty. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We had a perfect stay in Fez, mostly because just after our arrival we got plenty of informations from Riad's team. We got map, a lot of tips about places to visit and also tips about how avoid cheating local people. It was really helpfull not only in Fez but as well in other cities (Meknes or Martakesh). The guy who welcomed us offered going with us to a safe parking place where we could leave our car. It was especially helpfull as we weren't sure about the way to get to the place we had left it before. Getting lost in Fez's Medina streets is a fantastic adventure but not at first night after coming to Maroco and after first time driving car in here 😅 It was a real pleasure to stay in Riad Dar El Ouedghiri and we heartly recimmend it :) What is more - Riad's team is doing really good job trying make this place meeting European standards still keeping also Marrocan style. Brekfast were perfect. Thans once again!

Mohammed and Haga were the friendliest people we have met in Morocco and made us feel like family during our stay. They even invited even invited us to share their family couscous lunch! They attended to our every need, and were genuinely concerned for our comfort. The riad was beautiful and clean, and located close to the two main roads of the Medina and the Blue Gate. Our room was big and comfortable and only 44 steps to get to it! Breakfast was generous and tasty and a great start to our day. The rooftop terrace was a lovely warm spot during the day and offered a stunning view of the city. This place is a solid 20/10 stars! A big thank you to Mohammed and Haga and their staff for ensuring that we would have a memorable time during our visit to Fes. 🙏🏻

Terrible experience. We had reservations for 2 rooms made on Tripadvisor in early September. The one smaller room was reserved at a sale rate and the bigger room was reserved at the full rate. We had the confirmations on the Tripadvisor app and there was no indication of a problem. We arrive to check in and we are told that the reservation for the discounted room had been canceled so we have only one room. We were told this by Yousef, the front desk person. We were not angry, just perplexed. Then Adil came out and started screaming at us that WE had canceled the room and waving his phone in our faces with a screen shot that just said my name and canceled. We asked to see the actual app in real time for more details and he responded it was down. Uh huh. He also said they had never taken reservations through Tripadvisor, which is a straight up lie because you can make reservations through Tripadvisor to this day. I think the sale rate was a mistake or they just didn't want to honor it because they could get more. The real problem is that we were never notified. Everything ended up fine because we found a better place to stay very quickly. The credit card company refunded the money for both rooms because this was clearly fraud (the room was "canceled" but the room charge was not reversed.) We talked to our guide for the next day and he said he would not have anything to do with these owners because of prior "bad dealings." Be forewarned that you will be dealing with unethical owners and they may not honor your reservation if you reserve here.

Yousef (receptionist) and other women workers were very kind. Yousef even took us on the parking lot and that was amazing and helpful. Breakfeast was good and fresh.
Cons: There was a leakage in the toilet; we noticed it as soon as we arrived. We showed them the problem, and they informed us it was just a small leakage from clean water (which was untrue). We spent two days there with a very bad smell and needing to use the toilet in the middle of this dirty water. I strongly recommend that you do not book the same room as us unless they confirm it is fixed (dobble room with extra bed - nr 04).

Cons: The hotel sign did not relate to how it's advertised on booking.com. This was very confusing as we couldn't find the hotel and were harassed by faux guides. Bathroom was falling apart - shower was inexistent with tiny trickle of water, the toilet flush didn't work and there was a constant smell of drains. The room was incredibly cold; it would have helped if the aircon was on for a few hours before arrival. Some of the staff (Youssouf) were so rude and snappy for no reason.

The location was good and both Abdul & Yusuf were very nice.
Cons: The shower head bracket was broken i was told it would be fixed the next day, never was. Breakfast was a poor show, very basic. Riad hard to find with no signs. The window in the triple room does not close I had to wedge it with a loo roll centre. All in all there are better places to stay in Fes. I would not stay again.

Our staying in this Dar was amazing! People are helpful and kind from the reservation till the end. They help us arriving inside the Medina, gave us a lot of information, help us to find one taxi to go. About the Dar, it's located in a perfect position to visit the old city. You will take the breakfast in the terrace all year long! The rooms are clean with traditional furniture, we slept perfectly. This wasn't our first staying in Fes, but the best one.

Spacious room and big bed, authentic stylish interior, beautiful terrace and kind host who met us upon arrival, gave some tips about staying in Fes and checked on us during the stay. The host helped to organize the transfer to the airport and offered an overpriced tour around Fes. Although, there was also an option just to walk with him.
Cons: Breakfast is served very late from 9 to 11 only, no exceptions. Breakfast is very limited, only one pancake and some jam, small cakes. We asked to serve us the breakfast as early as possible due to an early flight. However, the chef wasn’t flexible enough to serve us the breakfast earlier than 9 and even at 9 it wasn’t ready yet. We had to rush him and bring our own food to make it in time, no cooperation from his side.

The hotel is beautifully located in the medina. The rooms are clean and WiFi is free. The cousins Abdeladim and Youssef take excellent care of the guests and give helpful advice. There is nothing that the young men cannot help with. In the evening you have the option to eat at the hotel - the food is absolutely delicious. Breakfast is great and it is served on the roof terrace with a terrific view. We definitely recommend this guest house to anyone travelling to Fes!

Very nice Dar, located a few minutes walk from the main landmarks. Both Abdeladim and Youssef are very friendly and helpful, taking care of picking us up from the parking space nearby to the welcoming; they’ve explained us everything about things to visit and provided advices on how to navigate Fes Medina. Beautiful rooftop terrace to have breakfast.

Abeladim is the most kind and considerate Dar in Morocco. He will make you feel like princes and princesses but also like you are visiting a good friend. He helped with tips on how to get to Fes from Chefchaouen. He booked a driver to pick us up at the bus station and he was even there himself. He carried our luggage to the riad and gave us an upgrade to a nicer room because we had a long travel. We got breakfast to go as we were leaving early for the desert and he even texted us to check if we were okay the next evening. The riad is really nice and the location amazing🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 We only wished for more days here.. Shkran Abdeladim
Cons: We had some trouble with figuring out the air condition. But I am sure we could have gotten help straight away if we had asked.

Despite finding it a little hard at first to locate in the vast & labyrinthine medina, it turned out to be a perfect home-from-home for the week we spent there. The 2 guys running it were extremely friendly & helpful - & even upgraded both our rooms for free (I'd said that I needed good daylight as I intended to paint). The breakfast was served on the roof terrace & always brought up at the time we'd requested - consisting of coffee, mint tea, 2 types of bread + cake, fresh butter, honey, jam & olives. Certainly sufficient to set one up for the day! And the roof terrace itself is a wonderfully relaxing place to just sit & chill, with views over the medina rooftops in every direction. There is no restaurant on the premises but there are lots of cafes & restaurants around the Blue Gate, which is just a 10 minute walk. The decor in the rooms and throughout the Riad were traditionally Morroccan & very colourful - with beautiful mosaiced floors & painted furniture. The beds were a little hard but that suited me anyway - and with quality bedlinen. The towels were changed daily & there's almost instant hot water (solar panels I believe) plus very effective air conditioning - which you certainly need there in July! There are a LOT of steps from the entrance (where the kitchen is also situated - where we were allowed to store our water/beer/food in the fridge) up to the sitting room and beyond to the bedrooms & roof terrace - so it wouldn't be suitable for those with mobility issues or very overweight! Their prices are extremely reasonable and it's very quiet - except for the nearby mosque, which emits prayers over a loudspeaker 5 times a day ..but only for a few minutes. I'd definitely recommend this Riad and would happily stay there again.

Check in was very easy. The host was great and set us up with a tour of the old town, a place to eat and was very accommodating. The Moroccan breakfast was delicious and they have a beautiful terrace on the roof that gives a great view. Something to note- it is not easy to find if you aren’t familiar with the area. This hotel is located in the old part of Fes and cannot be reached by a vehicle. Once we had gotten to the hotel with the help of a taxi and someone to walk us there (who also wanted a tip) everything was great. And we would definitely stay there again

Both the guys at the reception were very nice, offering us to bring us to different locations, since sometimes it is easy to get lost in the medina. They explained us some history about the city and gave us some advice on how to move around the city. Anwar was also offering a tea to my friend in the terrace, which helped him relax after a long day of walking. The hotel is located very close to the medina and it also offers Moroccan breakfast, which was also good. The view from the terrace was amazing!

For anyone who wants the incredible experience of staying in the walled medina, I highly recommend staying at this dar (home). The staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful. One highlight is the delicious daily breakfast (included in cost) served on the rooftop overlooking the city. The rooftop view was magnificent - no other hotel view in Morocco compared. I loved waking up to the sounds of the Medina and the location was an easy walk to the blue gate and other major sites. Also even in the scorching heat, the tiles kept the room feeling comfortably cool. Like all other locations in the walled city, this location does require walking (no car access at the front door) which is part of the wonderful experience. Staff hear speak fluent English as well as many other languages.

For a quintessential Moroccan experience and welcome, the beautiful Dar El Ouedghiri is an outstanding choice for anyone visiting Fes. Its central medina location cannot be beaten for accessing the must-see attractions of this fascinating city. Situated in a peaceful lane it feels very safe and secure. From the guesthouse, it is a short easy walk to Tala’a Sghira, one of the main lanes of the labyrinthine Fes el-Bali, which leads directly to Bab Bou Jeloud (‘The Blue Gate’). I stayed for almost a week and my bright airy single ensuite room was perfect in every way. Meticulously clean and well-maintained it had a supremely comfortable bed, a hot shower, excellent Wi-Fi and efficient air-conditioning. Other bigger and family rooms that I glimpsed also looked outstanding in their authentic décor. A rooftop terrace affords stunning views of this beguiling city. In common with most Dars the stairs between floors are quite narrow. Included breakfast, served between 9-11am, was a simple but tasty affair consisting of pastries, jam, honey, cheese, olives, fruit juice and coffee. I chose, however, to wake early and walk to the Blue Gate where a bowl of delicious b’sarra (a thick soup of broad beans) with a hunk of bread at café Broceliande costs just 7MAD. Last but not least I have to mention the ever-friendly and smiling Salman who looks after the guesthouse in the evenings and mornings. He is a kind, caring and helpful young man who is both meticulous and conscientious in his service and a credit to Dar El Al Ouedghiri. Thank you, Salman! All in all, this is an absolutely superb choice of guesthouse and one I would very highly recommend and would very happily return to. My stay was perfect and my only regret is that I could not stay longer! I hope that one day I might return. Inshallah.

Pretty mind-blowing in terms of interior architecture. Felt like a palace. Our room was large and beautiful. Quiet and safe, as usual in Morrocco. Fes was the highlight of our entire trip -- you must see the ancient medina here, feels like time travelling. Soltan was a very good friend to us during our stay, and he has a kind heart. You WILL get lost in the Medina, the riad is *impossible* to find on your own, so either write to the Riad beforehand, or just accept one of the guides that will come to you as you look around confused, but agree on a price before the guide starts and stay firm. Although the medina is confusing, there are lots of helpful people who will not charge for their help if you seek them out, especially the grocery store owners and such. It is also very safe.

Location of the riad is good, as it’s not far from everything. The room and public area are in general clean
Cons: Breakfast service is in need to be improved/re-planned - the kitchen is on ground floor and rooms on different floors upstair. With limited number of staff in breakfast time, it’s not possible to serve most people that are staying at, and for my case mine was not even delivered after having been waiting for >1hr. The worst thing was the staff kept claiming it would take another 10min when asking when the breakfast could be served after 40min of waiting

Beautiful Riad home/hotel in the heart of the medina! The hosts are so welcoming and friendly. The home is absolutely gorgeous and a quiet respite. The rooftop is lovely, and the home baked breakfast was generous and delicious. Highly recommend staying here!

From breakfast in a beautiful main room to the sun setting on the terrace, Tawfik and his family’s Dar is the perfect place to start your journey in Fes. I travelled solo in low season so everything was very calm inside and the area around, considering how peculiar Fes can be. Don’t hesitate and get ready to explore.

It is a great location within the medina and 2 minutes walking from 1 of the main streets. We went with our kid and it was just perfect and safe. The rooms are big and confortable. Twarik made sure we had what we needed and was really nice to us. Thx! If you go to the roof terrace you have a great view of the sunrise.

Nice cozy room with comfy bed in the Medina. Nice traditional interior design of the hotel. Okay breakfast If you are checking in late you have to arrange beforehand with them, and someone walks you to the hotel (I think because the area is not quite safe at night after the shops close and the hotel doesn’t have a clear sign).

The best part of our stay was the lovely staff! Sultan really made us feel welcome, ensuring we had everything we needed for a great stay. Fatima treated us like family and her food is delicious as well, especially the vegetable pastella! They really go the extra mile to treat you as friends making your time in Fes memorable!
Cons: The bed was not the most comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was not very good. I suppose this may be because the building is older.

Like many buildings in Fes, Dar El Ouedghiri is a discreet looking building outside but a stunning gem inside! The lobby was the most stunning I have seen, full of magnificent and colorful geometries, and the rooftop offers the best overview in Fes! The hosts were also super kind and accommodating to my early hours for breakfast and other needs. I would return here next time I'm in Fes

We got a free upgrade to a larger room, since the originally booked room was pretty small and we were only staying for one night. The host is really friendly and gave us tips around fes. It can be a little tricky to find, but that's normal in Fes since there are a lot of dead ends google maps doesn't recognise. The local people are happy to point you in the right direction but be sure to say you dont need a guide! otherwise they might try to charge you!
Cons: There was a weird smell coming from the bathroom, but this was not a big issue.

The room was great very nice size, location was great, we had to leave early and the manager organised an early breakfast for us which was very nice. Unfortunately we were only there for one day it's would have been great to stay longer.

The decor setting is very pleasing, spacious room. The riad staff are very friendly and welcoming. They are eager to give the necessary information and help out. There received a welcome tea with biscuits at arrival! The bath towels are so comfy and white!!! The breakfast was served warm (unlike in another hotel where we spent previous nights) and there is the local white cottage cheese and olives among all the breads which are usually given. The terrasse is just adorable! Many traditional elements creating the atmosphere of Morocco on our stay!
Cons: The location is a bit down the road from a side entrance è to the Medina and requires some walk with luggage down and up for the return. We are really for freshly made food and appreciated the warm breakfast, however, it made us wake up quite early with many smells from the kitchen and the sound of kitchen tools in work. Also there is no any sound isolation and we were exposed to many conversations from all around from the early morning. And the first invitation to the prayer from some near minaret was quite unpleasant, not musical as usually but rather shouting - which has nothing to do with the riad, but remains a disturbing fact. The shower space is so tiny, as well as the staircase of the riad, but it all is bearable and the general feeling of the stay is enjoyable.

There are no words to describe this unique experience in this place. They welcome you with a mint tea and make you feel like home. The interior of the house is magnificent and the room is bigger than anything else I have stayed in my trip in Morroco. I would definitely choose that again. Special thanks to Sultan for eveyrthing. I wish I could go back.

The host was very friendly and helpful. They helped me plan my tour to Chefchouaen which was a great plus because it saved me a lot of time. The mother brought my breakfast in my room on the day that I had an early morning tour. That was very nice of her. The property is very beautiful and house keeping is impeccable.

Sultan, our host, was WONDERFUL!! He made the whole experience for us. Great service, offered suggestions, scheudled our tours & rides, very kind and hospitable. the trip wouldn’t be the same with this experience. The lofted 2nd bedroom gave nice space for our family of 3. The meals and rooftop views/lounging for evenings and mornings was ideal.
Cons: Good firm beds. Expect “city” sounds anywhere. 0 complaints :). !

Beautiful riad, nice breakfast and friendly host.
Cons: Don't take dinner in riad, because it cost 14€ per person. If you eat outside you get the same food for half prices and are bigger portions.

The hospitality from the first minute until the last minute was exceptional. Tawfik was a superb host who catered for our every need from personally meeting us from our taxi on arrival, to printing out our boarding passes (paper copy required at Fes Airport btw) for return flight. He is a credit to the business. An optional extra at the Dar is dinner. We dined at the Fez Café and the Ruined Garden. Both were excellent BUT the cooking at Dar El Ouedghiri was better !!! No hidden agenda, just the plain truth. Madame Cook is a treasure. Overall loved this place, but the hospitality beat all.
Cons: Honestly can’t fault Dar El Ouedghiri. It was excellent.

We stayed at the Dar for two nights, and they became our most memorable nights in Morocco. Before and after Fes, we only stayed in five-star hotels, but honestly, they can’t be compared to our experience here. One thing that I missed in those fancy hotels was the interaction with the locals. In this Dar, however, we, for the first time, experienced the hospitality, sincerity, and enthusiasm of Moroccans from the staff member Tawfik. He is the most beautiful person we met in Morocco. We love how he has a passion for life and that he finds everything interesting. During our stay, Tawfik took extremely good care of us, helping us with all sorts of big or small matters. On the rooftop, facing the breathtaking view of the Medina, we had a couple of intriguing conversations. Honestly, we have heard many negative things about Morocco and Moroccans but Tawfik and this Dar have shown us many, many positive aspects of the country. If you want genuine and fun experiences in Fes and Morocco, you should not stay in five-star hotels but in places like this. This Dar is simply amazing.

We stayed 3 nights in May 2022. The riad and its staff were very nice. Location is perfect, in Medina, with easy access to restaurant and small street shops for water and other things. Rooms were good and clean. Adil, the manager, was extremely nice and pleasant, always providing useful info and solving all our requests. I enjoyed a lot my stay at Dar El Ouedghiri and strongly recommend it.

The Dar is well maintained with fine details. The host were really helpful and friendly. Our stay there was really comfortable. Our little daughter also enjoy the stay very much particularly the roof top terrace. I particularly love how every corner in the Dar is nice for photos. The daily housekeeping service provided is indeed making our stay even better. The home made breakfast save us the hassle for hunting for food to fill out stomach. Thank you Aziz & Lalla Fatimah!

Both the host and the manager Adil were amazing during our stay. The place is nice and clean and the location is convenient which is right inside the Medina - 5 mins walk to Blue Gate. Adil arranged some day trips for us and also arranged the taxi to the Fes airport for us when we left Fes for London. The price for both day-trips and the taxi were definitely more competitive (i.e. lower) than what you can get online. If you need any of these, I highly recommend you check with Adil. Overall, an excellent stay.

We recently stayed here with our family. Adil was a friendly and gracious host. Breakfast was plentiful and enjoyed having it on the roof top patio overlooking the city. Located in the middle of the old town of Fes. Very walkable. Parking was available 10 min walk from the hotel for a small fee.

Our stay at the Riad was better than what we could have asked for. We greatly enjoyed our stay here as we visited the city. The room was beautiful and intimate and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The breakfast every morning was fantastic and the owners and staff were so nice and welcoming. They gave us recommendations on what to do and where to go and were always available to answer any questions we had. We definitely recommend staying here when visiting this beautiful city.

We stayed for 3 days in this Dar and it is a perfect place to stay. The place is very pretty, clean and the breakfast is delicious. The host, Amil, is a very kind man who would walk with us to and from the restaurants or the shops in the Medina we wanted to go, as it is very easy to get lost. He can also help you to find tours or a guide to complete your trip. Amil really makes you feel welcome! It has a beautiful terrace. I really recommend your stay here.

Adil immediately greeted us and assisted us back to the residence. The hotel is beautiful and recently remodeled. This is more of a bed and breakfast but the landlord is extremely helpful and a really good cook. It is also in the heart of the Medina and quiet once inside to relax. Amazing rooftop views and with Adils help made this a pleasant experience.

A first class choice. The service is legendary, the rooms large and comfortable, the bathrooms large, hot hot water, both sink and shower. The roof top view is amazing, and it's quiet at night. The only warning would be that there's plenty of stairs, so be prepared.

Fes is a maze when you are inside the Médina but this place is well worth making the effort to get in to the Médina and find. Adil was the most welcoming and genuine host that I have ever met and I have travelled a lot. The place is basic and clean however our room was beautifully decorated and for the price paid and the excellent service I can’t recommend this place enough. Adil you should be very proud of your riad and the service you provide 😃

Adil, our host, was fantastic! He met us outside the Medina and brought us to the accommodation. He also set us up with an amazing guide for a tour of the Medina. Breakfast was very good and in good weather is eaten on the top floor of the building with an amazing view of Fes. When we had an issue with the smell in the room Adil was very quick to respond and try to fix it. Unfortunately it was coming from the pipes and proved difficult to fully eliminate.
