The Riad Jamaï is a peaceful and beautiful place to rest, disconnect and enjoy the city. It’s no near to the Medina, but is easy and cheap take a taxi. The staff is helpful and kind. We dinner at the hotel and the food are so good The pool is small but it’s fantastic to refresh in his wonderful patio. We recommend be a guest at this Riad.

We stayed just 1 night. The first day we arrived early at the morning and the second day we also checked out early, so the host provided us the breakfast at the first day, that was fantastic big portion local meal! Besides, the host helped to arrange the pickup service from the CTM station, the 20min trip charged us $80, it would be at least 50% cheaper if we took the taxi. For the location, it was outside the medina, <10min taxi would cost $15 by meter. The leather tannery is also walking distance <15min but guys please reject the tour guide at the entrance! They will charge you if you didn't purchase, and in fact their products are not that special, you can find the same thing in the medina. Please do negotia the price (50-70% lower) if you buy something in EVERY cities in Morocco!!!

This Riad looks very nice with a small Pool inside (nobody used) The windows go to this direction, what means its noisy as soon as somebody is there, coming, eating etc. The surrounding is very poor and dirty. Coming home late means YOU HAVE to take a taxi to the closest possible. There are no Restaurants close by, nothing to do after dark and I would not recommend to go out in the dark alone. The riad staff is not much about privacy. The first evening one of them terrorized me 9pm to enter the room taking out a baby-bed. I was already sleeping and told him - but he forced me to open the room. The last day someone tried to come into the room 11am through a back door, while I was in. Seeing me, just closed and gave a run. Strange behaviour. On the arrival day they didn‘t believe my booking - I had to show them how much I paid for the room?!

Although the riad was beautiful, the location of it was a lot to be desired. The taxi left us in the main street, but we had to walk around a dirty neighborhood because the cars don’t go near the riad. It was not a good impression as a visitor

I had a wonderful stay at Riad Jamaï! The riad itself is beautifully designed, with a peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. One of the highlights of our visit was the exceptional service provided by Said. He gave us fantastic recommendations for exploring the city and made our experience even more memorable with his kindness and great conversations. Thanks to Said and the entire team, our trip was truly unforgettable. I highly recommend staying here!

A very gd experience to stay in such a valuable old building built in 1361. Almost storey hig ceiling, high windows and room door, stunning. The emrald swiming pool is relaxing and Instagrammable. Yet the room we had was exceptional, large, spacious and beautifully designed in Morrocan style. Our large bed was so much like designed for the a queen.

This staff was outstanding! I will remember them whenever anyone asks me about the people in Morocco. We got lost on the way to the riad. I called them and they sent someone out to guide me into the area. Then they helped me setup my parking for my stay. When we got to the riad, we were treated so kindly. They helped setup a tour of the medina and a drive to Chefchaouen for the day. They prepared food for us and it was amazing. When I was preparing to leave, our hostess walked to the parking area and she made sure I would easily be able to access my car early in the morning.

Once we got to know the staff at the Riad they were lovely and kind to us. It is definitely one of the best Riad’s in the area. We loved that it wasn’t in the main tourist hub which would have been loud and very busy. It was lovely to be able to walk amongst the locals and experience the real Fes life, eating at local street vendors and feeling very safe and welcome. Would highly recommend and will return.

We had a very lovely stay. The staff was amazing, the food was well prepared and the main part of the Riad is simply breathtaking. Be sure to book a room on the ground floor as they are beautifully appointed. Some oth the others are a bit more standard in decoration but certainly comfortable and clean. The staff was so helpful and we made arrangements for daily activities with their input.

We had an amazing stay at this authentic and beautiful Riad in the heart of Fez. The entire place is gorgeous. My daughter said that it makes her feel like a princess. The rooms surround a central courtyard with a small pool, and it's beautiful. The bathroom was like our own personal spa, and the appearance of the rooms felt classical and historical while also comfortable. They offer rooms at different sizes and prices, so there's something for everyone. They also served a great breakfast every morning of various breads and pastries along with fresh orange juice, mint tea, and coffee. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful - Mohammed and his crew were superb. We also took them up on some of their tours which were less expensive than many competitors. The riad also serves dinner for an extra price if you want it, and we did this one night. It was delicious, too! The location is in the medina where you can walk to all of the historical sights along with restaurants, shops, the tanneries, and many other places.

The location is good as it's at a spot where the driver can actually drop us off near the door of the riad, which is not necessarily possible for all riads. The riad itself is beautiful, I think it's a good representation of how a Morocco riad is, even though it may not be one of the biggest ones. The room is big and comfortable and beautiful as well. The staff there are nice and helpful. The staff Khadija is very sweet and caring. She suggested us to a local eating place nearby and that ended up being one of our best meals in Morocco. We appreciate how the staff there didn't give us any pressure while trying to offer us the services.

Our rooms were fantastic. Maybe a little too big for our needs but still great for our budget. We visited in December, so as expected it was a little cooler, but there were heaters in the dining area. The shower was nice and hot, and robes and towels were provided. We had our laundry done too, for a very reasonable price. Great place for a family, I would return here again, if I were in Fès.

My real trip purpose was religious more than Friends base, in order to celebrate the Prophet’s Birthday at Sidi Ahmed Tijani place. In the course of my life, I stayed at hotels ranging from 2 stars to 5 stars; moreover, I studied Hospitality Management, worked in various hotels myself, and can tell what level of service I was receiving. I found the personnel to be genuinely friendly, always ready to please, from MOHAMED to Yacine to the young lady welcoming my son and me at breakfast times, and escorting is when we leave for the Zawiya daily. The ONLY thing I complained about, and I wanted to stress, was about the poor way of communicating with me by “Fabien”. He never was able to even address me by name during many email exchanges, failed to genuinely answer my questions about telling me what the proximity the hotel was to the Zawiya by FOOT. It was a hurdle to get to taxis, were charged at Will, some other times we would walk too long, etc.

Best riad we stayed during our road trip through Morocco. The manager and staff are incredible, helpful, and hospitable. The riad itself is gorgeous, and despite that its in a less touristic neighborhood is fine they suggest a number of tours that make it easy to navigate and get around Fes. It is also walking to distance to a few key places in Fes. We ended up booking an additional night because we didn’t want to leave. For the price its a wonderful place to spend time in Fes.

This was a most unusual place to stay. Room we had was small but adequate. The dining area needs to be seen, reminded me of the Roman Empire. Fascinating. Finding it was the most difficult part. Take a Taxi. You will not find better than Khadija and Oumayma who speak perfect English and make Guests feel at home in a family sort of way. If you like different, with good service. This is for you.

Good and friendly staff, good breakfast. Location was terrible, we were initially checked into a room that had no glass in the transom window which allowed noise and cold air to come in. We had to request a change, but the second room had other issues, especially the bathroom. We had arranged with the riad one day before arrival for airport transfer, but they forgot and we had to call them from the airport. They were very willing to arrange day tours for us, but did not assist us in providing city map or suggestions for places to self visit in Fes for first timers. However, paid city tours were suggested.

The Riad is beautiful, there is no doubt about that, the rooms are lovely and well laid out however there is much that can be improved. First of all, there is a kind of laid backness to everything. This is fine if you don't have to leave for a certain time to get a tour, where a 15 minute delay for breakfast means no breakfast at all. On the second day, we had to leave for our tour at 8am, we were promised a packed breakfast- we got nothing and just left, the person in charge was a no show. Then there is the issue that the hotel only accepts cash for payment, they only told us this just before check out. As a result we almost missed our train because we had to go to a money changers to get the cash out. As I said, lovely people, beautiful little riad, but they need to be a lot more professional.

Hotel is closed. We got there late at night with no notice from the hotel that they were closed. Luckily they helped us find a new riad, but make sure they are actually open before they make you pay in advance for the room.

A little hard to find, but once you do it is delightful. The Riad itself is beautiful though cold in January. Small room with the shower 3 feet from the toilet (same floor). What made this place great is the hospitality. The man who helped us has been the most amazing person we have met in Morocco. For him alone I would return.

Riad was quite beautiful, room was spacious. Bathroom was quite small, a bit difficult to enjoy the shower without the rest of the bathroom getting wet. No options to eat close by, no where near the Blue Gate as mentioned in the listing

This hotel is very "moroccan style", rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good and we had dinner one night that was delicious. Zakia and Yassine were very friendly and helpful. Hotel staff advised us that was not safe to walk around in that neighborhood after 10:30 p.m..Unfortunately because of this we missed the nightlife in the city. If you pay for a certified tourist guide, it does not matter if you ask for NOT going to shopping, any way they take you to shopping, and you waste too much time in those places instead of touristic sites. We strongly recommend this hotel. Nestor and Silvia

Our stay in Riad Jamaï was just magnificent, a wonderful accomodation with nice rooms, a lovely patio and a rooftop with a breathtaking view on the Medina. Very friendly staff, it was not a problem at all that we had to leave in the middle of the night and we even got something to eat and drink for the journey. Would definitely recommend and come again. Might be a bit hard to find when you visit Fès for the first time, but after all it shouldn't be a problem.

It was a good Riad the area around is quite hectic. However, Zaika was extremely knowledgable, polite and helpful throughout our stay.

Authentic, classic Moroccan riad. Great service provided by the staff, help us to settle all requests timely, especially Khalil & Yassine, feeling just like at home. Proactive attitude, lots of smile and good English made us feel so awesome staying there. Excellent Location in Fes Medina (Old city), nearby a local market and major Tannery shops. If you want to stay in Medina, Riad Jamai would be the one of the best choices.

Courtyard is beautiful and the breakfast and dinners were good. Hosts were great. Room was very bare bones and bathroom could use a big upgrade. Wifi didn't work at all in the room. Riad was very quiet with no loud outside noises. Nothing wrong with the area, but didn't love it—we walked around and didn't feel like there was much to see in the vicinity as a tourist, though the souks aren't terribly far.

A hidden gem. Very nice interior space in traditional Morocco style. The owner/manager and staff went out of their way to please. Excellent food. Would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Riad Jamai. The manager treated us like royalty and made us feel very special. Upon arriving we were greeted with mint tea and asked how they may be able to help us enjoy our stay. He arranged for a couple of tours of the city and market. The manager also recommended a Moroccan restaurant and had us escorted there. The room was spacious and just beautiful. The breakfast was great! You get so much more than what you pay for at this Riad.

It was falsely indicated that parking was free, when it was not. I had to complain in order to have it refunded.

The Riad itself was a classic/traditional Riad in the heart of the Medina. Mohammed, the manager, was very helpful and accomodating. If you're okay sacrificing some of the luxuries you get with a hotel stay then a Riad stay is perfect. My only complaint are the constant hagglers asking for money. Everyone asks for money and it's gotten much worse since the last time I visited.

One of the nicest riad to which I have been. No to be neglected, however, is the smoke coming from cigarette smokers located immediately down from my room inside the courtyard. In late evenings, we had to close our window shutters.

Beautiful riad with an incredibly friendly staff! A very accessible part of the medina to catch a cab, but still very much in the activity of the medina.
