The Riad was so calm and peaceful, we loved the rooftop terrace where we had breakfast every morning, we also went up there to play chess most days! We had a dinner and a lunch at the riad which was amazing with the most delicious flavours. The staff are really lovely, Abdul and all the ladies are so charming and helpful. We had a hamam at the spa next door which was great - Mariam was lovely. It was about a 15 minute walk to the main square and souks but we were really happy to staying in a quieter part of the city. If we came back, I would definitely stay here again.

had an amazing experience at this hotel! The staff were absolutely wonderful – incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Whether it was organizing transportation, giving recommendations, or handling small requests, they made everything so easy and stress-free. Truly the best service I’ve ever received at any hotel. I can’t thank them enough for making my stay so enjoyable!

Nice Riad with a roof terrace and in walking distance to the inner medina and souks. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it overall. Some smaller points we didn’t like were 1) no hot water during the last night, 2) no option to enter the riad as someone from the staff had to open the main door and 3) we asked for a taxi to the airport to be arranged on our last day and it never arrived for which the staff wasn’t helpful. Overall it was good value for money

This riad was amazing, even succeeded our expectations! Me and my partner did this trip as a gift to each other for both our birthdays, and to celebrate our 1st year anniversary, and we loved it! The room and facilities were gorgeous. Breakfast really nice too, and the staff very friendly, especially Abdul, he was always so kind and helpful, made us feel so welcomed! The women from the kitchen as well. Can’t fault anything tbh! We booked a double hammam and massage and it was sooo good! (Only thing was that one of the girls doing the massage kept on giggling and mumbling to the other one that was doing mine, which didn’t really help us relax lol) but that’s just a silly thing, 100% recommend this place!!

We really liked this place! The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good everyday and there were items to choose from as well on the rooftop. Staff helped with finding a tailor we needed who performed the alterations within hours and also fixed other items he saw. The room was cleaned everyday and was comfortable. Lighting was not great, but found out it was for relaxation and brighter bulbs can be installed if needed, again very accommodating. Setup our taxi to the airport and even walked us to the stop to get in the taxi, which was a van. Stored our bags and clothes on a hanger for our later departure and provided are to change clothes.
Cons: I cannot think of anything

I thought the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned daily , they even folded laundry that was left out ! Due to early departure for excursions, the only meal we had there was an excellent breakfast. The staff told us to let them know of our needs the night before, and they could accommodate us .
Cons: The alley was not very well lit after dark, however we felt safe there .

Convenient location. The staff are lovely. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Morocco. Great rooftop.
Cons: The room had a funny smell. The design of the riads ( in general) don’t lend themself to good ventilation. We had a ground floor room and the windows opened up to the common courtyard, so had to choose between air circulation and ventilation.

Cons: There wasn't anything we didn't like. However, it would be great if there were facilities in the room to make tea/coffee. Also, although our room was amazing, unfortunately, the toilet was broken. We reported this 3 separate times & by our last day, we were no longer able to flush/use.

Where do I start with my stay at Riad Jonan! Honestly just amazing. Especially like to thank Abdul and Anas for their amazing hospitality making me feel like royalty and attending to any queries I had or questions, felt so comfortable staying here, the aesthetics were also spot on down to the small details giving an authentic Moroccan feel. Property was close to local shops to grab food or basics essentials, and most of the tourist attractions eg ben yousef, el Bahia are all in walking distance. Abdul provided me a map & gave me so much information about pros & cons which defo came in handy. I decided to eat here on my last evening and the starter, main, mint tea and dessert was lovely, with table decor and a stunning set up on the terrace. Such hospitable and welcoming people. Planning a trip back in the near future and will most likely choose here again, thankyou !
Cons: Nothing.

Gorgeous Riad with exceptional service from the staff. The room was lovely (but small, as seen in the picture when booking), and breakfast is made fresh each day. Rooftop is perfect for sunbathing or relaxing, and the location is perfect (just a short walk from the busy Medina, which we preferred not to stay in). The staff also kindly offered a birthday cake for my partners 30th birthday to mark the special occasion - a lovely touch. Lastly, I would recommend ordering lunch on the rooftop, it was delicious. Parking - this isn’t associated with the Riad but we wish we knew this before arriving - There is convenient parking on the main road by the Kasbah. You need to negotiate with the attendants (they are of course not Riad staff) and we paid 40dh for 2 nights (quickly reduced from the first offer of 100dh).

The old & new decor its history in the Riad.
Cons: I wasn’t offered tea upon arriving like other hotels said they received. The manager didn’t take me to my room to rest after a long flight. Mr. Hassan a nice guy began talking about money. I paid for the room so this was confusing but it was for the taxi & other extras but this could’ve waited until the next morning. I’ve never had this happen to me because everything is normally charged to the room. I didn’t know the breakfast was complimentary either or I was being charged for dinner. it was paid but I don’t like surprises. it’s a vacation, this could’ve been handled better. let the guest rest for a night at least. I would’ve enjoyed a cup of tea upon arrival.

First I will start off with staff an absolute formidable asset do your best to keep them. absolutely amazing hospitality and the breakfast was great best bread I’ve had in Morocco. ( I have travelled to Marrackesh every year since 2016). The décor was amazing very sophisticated and beautiful. we traveled with a 1 year old the staff showered her with attention and made our stay so much easier. we worried about our room being next to pool but they also kept an eye on her( as she is very active). the staff were informative and will to share advise and provide local knowledge made our stay stress free. the roof top terrace was lovely but we choose to spend much time up there but having the option available was nice. great street food near by close to fancy restaurants and spas and attractions.
Cons: our bath room had vent that was shared with the kitchen and it felt like we could hear them and they could hear us. if something were done about that it would be great. an option for a iron would be nice and a baby bath as the shower wasn’t practical for very young children and sink a little to small.

This riad has just changed ownership, so they were in the process of renovating the property during my stay. The first room I was in was gorgeous and large, but immediately off the common courtyard/dining area and was loud and did not feel private. They were kind enough to allow me to move to a more secluded room upstairs which was small but perfect. The staff were extremely sweet and welcoming, helpful in making recommendations for activities, making meals, helping with transport, etc. This was my experience with a few different riads in Marrakech. The location is ideal because it is close to the action but in a quiet side alley, also near an ATM and food. For a mid-range riad it was perfect.

Good breakfast. Very fresh & tasty. Hassan and Abdul were very helpful. Booked excursions and a hammam at quite reasonable prices. Excellent location.

I've been to a different riad, luckily they're full to accommodate us the next time we needed a place to sleep. And due to excellent reviews of Riad Jonan about cleanliness, I didn't hesitate to book. If youre like me that felt comfortable to put your things everywhere when its clean and cringe when the place is dirty, like screaming of CONTAMINATION alert!!! This place is for us! Also, the receptionist go beyond their job to attend our needs, couldn't be more thankful for the hot water as my partner would like to have his Nescafe coffee to drink multiple times a day. Also very accommodating to allow us to choose the room as they're three available. Booked a taxi for us to ride! Many thanks to Abdul and Hassan! I hope my partner gave you tip!!

Everything! The staff at the Riad was great: we had Abdul, Hassan and Hamisa, who were all extremely kind, thoughtful and helpful. The Riad itself had delicious and reasonably priced food (we had beef and lamb tagines as well as royal couscous. Breakfast was the same everyday: a choice of EITHER fruit, scrambled eggs with tomato (on the side; NOT incorporated) or a one added ingredient (cheese — which, unfortunately, we were unable to taste - or mushroom) omelette in addition to delicious breads and/or crepes served with strawberry jam, butter and honey to add as you wish. The bread there was always fresh and some of the best we had in all of Marrakesh.
Cons: The property was no problem whatsoever; however, the so-called pool was a huge disappointment, as it is little more that a wading pool sized for children and was not at all heated in an open courtyard. I would not recommend that anyone go on a scheduled personal tour (arranged by the Riad) with Rashid, unless you want and enjoy being dragged from one sales pitch to another at prices that are notably more expensive that what is normally seen or expected in the local Medina. Heads up: taxis and tik tuks are hard to get unless you arrange a ride with assistance of hotel staff, as they are not easily hailed. If you don’t speak French or Arabic, language can be a barrier. Marrakesh is very much a cash society with very few places besides hotels and high end restaurants or clubs accept credit cards. Please note also that there are no ride shares to be found, so it’s cab, tuk tuk, horse-drawn carriage, or your feet for transportation, unless of course you choose to rent an automobile or bicycle.

Good traditional Riad atmosphere in a great location. Good breakfast, helpful staff. Well maintained and clean rooms with comfortable beds.
Cons: Remember if you go in the winter Morocco is cold down to 7 at times in the mornings and evenings so you need thick clothes. It's low 20s in afternoons. With lots of sun.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean, beautifully decorated. Good WiFi. Overall good value for money.
Cons: Hot breakfast was limited to scrambled eggs or omelette. On suite toilet had no ceiling and was basically part of a very small room.😳 Mattress was very firm which might suite some but I struggled to get a comfortable sleep.

The place is very clean, and the people make you feel at home. They are Family to me (Hasan, Abdol, Khamisa, and Weaam). The place is in a calm area that has everything you need and very close to Al Fanna area.

The breakfast was delicious, freshly made and generous portions. The rooftop terrace was a highlight, it was lovely sitting up there. The decor was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our bed was very comfortable and our room was clean. The location was also very good, we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted and there are also plenty of taxis nearby.
Cons: There were a few minor things in our room that were broken, although they didn’t impact our stay too much. There is a 4% bank charge added for card payments. Had I known earlier I’d have gone to a bank to withdraw cash.

The hosts and all staff members where very helpful and friendly. The rooms were cleaned and fresh.
Cons: My room was very dark as the only window was facing the inside garden where everyone could see inside if it was opened. My parent's shower's floor wasn't very comfortable and not easy for an elder man and woman. Breakfast wasn't as expected but it seems I had a different idea of what Moroccan breakfast are. I was expecting fruits and different egg options. This doesn't mean the breakfast wasn't good, because it was. I was just expecting something more.

It was absolutely lovely l. Felt so comfortable and clean and the place looks amazing!! Hassan and his team were extremely hospitable. Thank You so much. We will definitely be back.
Cons: The fact that it's tucked away in a corner. However, we actually preferred it, as it's away from all the noise from the streets. So, not a bad thing.

Excellent customer service... well looked after. Hasan/Abdul & rest staff are so helpful.- took care of all our needs/issues
Cons: The quad biking booked via the Riad, did not deliver as promised by the tour operator, this wasn't Hasan fault but was disappointed.

We arrived late from the airport to Riad Jonan, but Abdul looked after us and made us felt home..Hassan was exceptionally grrat. He was very helpful, assisting us with all of our enquiries and questions, active listening and solving all of our questions. Hassan was so amazing and both ladies for breakfast were always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. The roof top was excellent place for my relaxations. My sister and I enjoy riad jonan so much. Centtal to all amenities..And Hasdan and Abdul especially made connection to other neede servicrs so esdy. They arranged Hamman massage for us and a great dinner afterwards. Excellent food and exceptional staff and services.

Everything was great, from the service to cleaning and a comfortable room. The breakfast was great. It was very safe and staff helped you to get around. As a woman traveling alone, I felt supported and safe in this Riad. It was not noisy at all, the Air Condition worked perfectly and the rooms for breakfast and the rooftop is amazing. Highly recommended to stay there.

I'd highly recommend this Riad. Hassan was extremely helpful prior to our arrival. Upon arrival everything was ready for us as we had pre-booked excursions. We were given advice on accessing the souks and Jemaa el-Fna. Along with tips about getting around and what was near by. It made our stay very easy. The rooms are lovely, breakfast daily and the pre-booked excursions were exceptional. We chose to go to the Sahara, the hammam and on the city walking tour it was all very enjoyable. The trip to the Sahara was incredible although a bit exhausting as its quite a long distance across the mountains which were also beautiful. Overall we had an amazing trip and I attribute this in large part to our stay at Riad Jonan

Lovely hotel. Bit further out but more chilled with good restaurants close by. Tourist tax is taken at booking but hotel staff asked for it again to make the taxi charge seem less so watch out!

Close to the Saadien Tombs and Cafe Clock. A comfortable walk to Jemaa El Fna. A long walk to the Marrakesh Museum and the Photography Museum. Hassan was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts were great. The shower heads could be upgraded and the housekeeping was somewhat intrusive. Overall very good.

I enjoyed my stay at Riad Jonan. It was different from the typical hotel because it was in the Old Medina of Merrakech. You are surrounded by the cultural vibe, amazing food, and true Moroccan lifestyle. The Riad was clean and welcoming. Abdou who was the caretaker was very welcoming. He treated me like a brother and made sure I was well accomodated to. He even woke up earlier to serve me breakfast because I had a train to catch. Usually breakfast is at 830am, but he served it to me for 715am because I had to leave. My experience there was great and I have no regrets, I most definitely recommend this Riad and would personally stay there again. Thank you Riad Jonan! :)

We had a great stay at Riad Jonan. It was very good value despite being a 3* hotel. The hot/cold ample breakfast was served at your table (not buffet/eat as much as you like). It included orange juice, tea/coffee, bread/cakes and a choice of hot and cold main dishes including eggs, cereal, and fruit with yogurt. We managed to get a free updgrade to a superior room which was more spacious than a standard room and included a mini bar/fridge but no TV. A deluxe room is also available which is more spacious and includes a TV. The hotel can arrange airport transfers at an extra cost if required, or you can just pick up a taxi from the airport. The riad was clean and very tastefully decorated in the morrocon style of ceramics. The service from the staff (Hassan, Abdul & Yasin) was superb, who are very helpful in giving advice, planning your days and booking visits for some of the attractions. The private Hammam booked through the hotel was very local and superb but quite expensive. We booked an expensive one-night trip to the Atlas Mountains, Sahara Dessert which included a camel ride, dinner and simple basic breakfast with a stay in a tent. The trip was quite tiresome and most of the time was spent travelling to and from the edge of the Sahara dessert. I would suggest a day trip to the Atlas Mountains only.

We stayed 5 nights at this Riad and loved it. The staff--especially the manager Hassan--are excellent; it is on a peaceful side alley in Kasbah, walking distance to everything. They serve dinner (and wine). Nice roof terrace on which to chill out.

Highly recommend. Appreciated that someone was at RAK when we arrived. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast was good. We were able to leave luggage and retrieve 6 days later after side trip. We appreciated being able to buy beer and bottle of wine and be served on terrace. Alcohol is scarce in the medina.

We stayed in Riad Jonan for 7nights from 12-19th of Sept. We were so delighted that our room was upgraded for free! It was just the end of the peak season so we were the only guests for The first two days of our stay. The staff were so helpful and kind. They always greet you with a smile. The riad itself is amazing. The tranquility when you are inside is amazing. You wont believe it is situated in the near a busy street in the Kasbah. Breakfast in the terrace is a must! The only downside was the poor connection of wi fi in the room. Overall, it was a really lovely experience of staying in Riad Jonan

Lovely little traditional Morrocan hotel, easy to find in the Medina and not far from the main square (about 10-15min walk). The room (Safi) was a little rough around the edges but was clean and of a reasonable size. Downside to room was that the bathroom wall does not reach the ceiling so didn't feel very private when visiting the bathroom! We ordered an evening meal for our first nights stay, one lamb and one beef dish from the 200 dam set menu, it was delicious, one of the best meals we had in Marrakech, but very big portions. I have a healthy appetite but could only manage half of the main dish. Breakfast was nice with a number of options on the menu, and you can take breakfast on the lovely terrace. Staff were very helpful & friendly before and during our visit, providing lots of advice and a map for places to visit.

The location is great, in walking distance to a number of key sites but out of the way enough to be quiet. The venue has everything you need and the hosts are great
