We stayed at Riad Chergui from the 15th–19th November and had a wonderful experience. Emmanuelle, the owner, was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. She was very helpful throughout our stay and took the time to explain local customs and the ways of Moroccan life, which made our visit even more enjoyable. The riad itself is beautiful, traditionally Moroccan, cosy, and full of charm. Our room was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The maid service was excellent and made everything feel fresh each day. Breakfast was lovely, plentiful, and always freshly prepared. The location of the riad is also perfect, just a short walk from the markets and ideal for exploring Marrakesh. I highly recommend staying at Riad Chergui. When I return to Marrakesh, I will definitely stay here again.

An elegant, peaceful oasis within the hustle and bustle of the medina. Loved the authentic, comfortable style with lots of different places to sit. We had everything we needed. Lovely breakfast and service. I enjoyed a refreshing dip in the pool.
Cons: I can’t think of anything. I don’t usually stay in the same place twice but I would come back here.

Everything was absolutely perfect! This is the first time I can say it was a 10/10. I used to travel a lot and I never found such a nice place. The place is extremely clean, they also have daily room cleaning. Also the common spaces such as the terrace, the swimming pool pool etc were super clean. The breakfast… I stayed there 3 days and had 3 days breakfast… is amazing! I also had dinner once and is great! The place is magic but what makes it perfect is the people working there. The manager and especially the man who serves the breakfast in the morning is very very polite and professional. All the people working there are just super nice all the time, also the cleaners. I can understand now why this place has such a perfect reviews, because there is nothing wrong. Highly recommended, also as a solo traveler like me.

Room (including bathroom) was comfortable and clean. AC worked almost too well. Pool was wonderful on extremely hot days. Breakfast and especially dinner were fantastic! Very quiet (could be a positive or negative depending on the experience you want). Massage was good, as well. Walkable to many sightseeing locations, about 15 minutes to Jemaa el-Fnaa. Always felt safe for 3 women. Friendly staff. Lovely place to stay in an amazing city.
Cons: Not entirely the riads fault, but we booked a taxi shuttle through them and after arriving at the airport the driver did not have the hotel sign up. After calling, we got it sorted out, but when we arrived at the taxi dropoff for the riad, a porter (not from the riad) came and put our things in his cart to take to the riad. We thought he was from the riad, and the lady who came to meet us from the riad didn't tell us otherwise. After dropping our bags off (less than 5 min walk), he asked for $10. It would have been nice if the lady had warned us there would be charge or let us know the porter was not from the riad. It just felt like we were scammed immediately arriving in the country. Admittedly, our fault for falling for it too.

Our stay at Riad Chergui was perfect for 4 nights in Marrakesh. The location was perfect for walking to the main square and some of the main attractions nearby too. The Riad was clean and well stocked with everything you need during your stay here. We loved the complementary breakfast with a variety of pastries, fresh juice, fruit and yogurt. A lovely way to start the day! We especially loved the pool which is large compared to other Riads and great for cooling down in the hot weather. The staff were also lovely, very friendly and helpful 😊
Cons: Nothing! everything was great.

Good value for the price, copious breakfast and very safe for female travelers.
Cons: The pool was dirty when we arrived - fully opaque- and it took over two days to clear up. We chose this riad for the pool so that was disappointing. We were told nothing was wrong with it, that it was because of the weather yet it was treated afterwards while two other pools we saw that day were perfectly clear.

A calm amongst the choas! Within a few steps of Chergui is the busy and bustling streets of Marrakesh. Step through the front door into an oasis of calm and tranquility. Emmaualle and her team are friendly and accommodating. The Riad itself is beautiful, it is well maintained and we had a follow up message after booking to confirm we realised we booked a room with a low bathroom height. Which I thought was a nice touch. And was even offered transfers from the airport which we were grateful for as a staff member meets you and walks you straight to the Riad! After reading a review about the lack of English that is spoken - do not worry, Emmaualle and another staff member speak perfect English and you get by with the other staff with basic communication skills. The staff are super helpful and friendly and will come out from their well deserved break to help immediately. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious! I would stay here again and recommend anyone to stay here.

Beautiful Riad, calm and quiet. Excellent location. Really comfortable beds with crisp linen. Lovely staff always trying to help in anyway they could.
Cons: The welcome was not as good as when I visited before. The Riad was lacking a bit of atmosphere, but may be because Emmanuelle was not there? Breakfast a bit chaotic, the poor man was running in circles!

The property was beautiful and stunning. Should have music to create a happy, buzzy atmosphere. The staff were polite and accommodating. Loved the roof top terrace.
Cons: The location. It is what it is, but not easy to find and not well sign posted. This prevented us from going out in the evening. It was difficult to find the way in the day time and evening time in the dark it would have been difficult. Two women alone would have been risky and we didn't feel comfortable.

Nice pool area and very comfortable with pool towels. Breakfast was great. When we arrived this was our first time and Emanuelle collected us from the taxi and brought us to the riad, she provided really good practical advice on marrakesh and the souks and was always really happy to answer all our questions and help us out. Ten out of ten for Riad Chergui- no exaggeration! Everything was wonderful from start to finish. This was our first trip to Marrakech, and we had no idea what we were doing or to expect. Emmanuelle and her staff were super attentive and kind, facilitating everything. Nothing was too much trouble. We arranged with Emmanuelle a pick up from the airport, so getting to the Riad was stress free. Breakfast was wonderful, the room was cute and pristine. The Riad is beautiful and a little oasis from the busy Medina. Nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were beyond kind. We especially enjoyed talking to Mohammed. We travelled 2 weeks ago for a few days to celebrate my Mums 80th birthday - loved everything! The location was perfect - an oasis of calm after the heat and chaos of the medina. The owners and staff couldn't do enough for you - and I tested that as asked for lots of advice/made bookings. Food was delicious - I can't eat gluten & they were brilliant about providing alternatives. Room & communal areas were lovely, and original features of the Riad made it so special. Pool was a little cool to swim in but you could paddle to cool down. Would recommend the guided tours round the city (our guide Mustafa was brilliant) & the balloon ride over the desert! Thank you to Radouane & Emmanuelle, & their staff for all their hard work. It's a fabulous Riad full of Moroccan charm & the trip far exceeded our expectations - would definitely return! Party of 8 ladies celebrating a forthcoming marriage. Having never been to Marakech before, we couldn't have chosen a more perfect place for our 5 nights. It's a beautiful Riad once inside. The staff were absolutely wonderful and so accommodating to anything we asked. Always smiling and happy to see us. Our rooms were lovely, very comfortable, very clean and tidied every morning after we left and refreshed. Limited toiletries which we expected but we always take our own. Continental breakfast was amazing, far more than we expected, and we could have eggs cooked any way we wanted too and in a gorgeous room with an amazing ceiling which was also set up as a lounge area too. You could relax on 2 levels. One by the small pool (very cold but refreshing) and up on the super sun terrace both with sunbeds tables and chairs. Towels and sun hats provided. We would definitely recommend a stay here as the location was perfect for sightseeing the Medina day or night or for just wandering about the shops and alleyways, all in very good walking distances. The street traffic was wonderfully chaotic with more mopeds and bicycles than cars, so watch your backs!! All in all, we were all sorry to leave as we'd had such a great time and would most definitely come back to stay here again. Well done, Riad Chegui 👏

Location, staffs, room, food and great service. We had a great stay in Riad Chergui (was advised by our tour company Suntrails Morocco). Courteous and professional staffs who are always ready to help. Our room is chosen well for me and my family as we have a 2 yo son. I am not worried that we will disturb other guest (and didn’t hear the call for sunrise and sunset as it was Ramadan which I was looking forward to but it is ok, it means the rooms are sound proof). The room is clean, great water pressure considering we are at the top room floor and everything is working well, We had our dinner on our first night and we had the best Lamb Tagine that we tasted (coming from Morocco tour for four days and had Tagines in other places), we also had Seafood Pastilla which tasted great (we missed seafood and suprised it has Chinese influence on it- we are from Asian background). Even if the staffs are busy as we came Saturday afternoon, they are always smiling and helpful, it sealed our wonderful short 2 nights in Marrakech. Kudos to the team.

Stayed with my daughter for 4 nights in a small twin room. Lovely fresh decor and spotless. Ladies were in every day to clean. Delicious breakfast. Styling of riad was beautiful, very authentically morrocan. Lovely touches by the pool of straw hats and towels laid out. We had a fantastic stay at Riad Chergui! The staff was welcoming and professional, greeting us with delicious tea and sweets upon arrival. The riad was beautiful and impeccably clean, providing a peaceful retreat in the heart of Marrakech. My friend and I booked the riad based on price and proximity to tourist attractions. Upon arrival in the riad our expectations were exceeded for the beauty of the structure and the kindness of all staff. The building is beautiful and you can not appreciate from the outside. Special mention for the reception, restaurant, kitchen and cleaning staff. The stay is worth for breakfast, very rich in local flavors (excellent local pancakes of bread) and for dinner: the lamb tajine is the best we ate in town. Upon arrival we were provided with a catalogue of services offered by the hotel, we booked a day trip to Esaaouira and the driver was punctual, friendly and very cautious driving. We recommend you book the pick-up at the airport because the staff will take you directly to the riad and you won’t waste time. We definitely keep this riad in mind to come back when it is warmer and you can enjoy the pool and massages.

The staff were all super helpful & accommodating whether it was answering questions before the trip or during the stay. We had dinner in the Riad the first night & it was absolutely great. Breakfast was enough to last you until dinner!
Cons: Nothing that we disliked. Given we were visiting when it was a little chilly, the Riad had the open fire going in the breakfast area which was lovely - the room just needed more ventilation, it became quite smokey. Water went off x2 (for a short time) but these were as the owner described it "Moroccan technical issues" that were beyond control of the Riad.

Charming Riad very close to all the most interesting tourist sights. Owners and staff were very welcoming and excellent at communicating and responding to our requests. They set-up airport transportation for us (at an extra cost) and even accommodated two gluten-free travelers in our group. The whole Riad was lovely, and we especially enjoyed the pool, delicious breakfast, and bar, given that most restaurants do not serve alcohol.

My son and I were made very welcome at Riad Chergui, particularly by Abdu. The hotel is tranquil and relaxing, despite being very close to the souks and busy side streets. Easy to get to and from the main areas, but worth noting you have to walk a short way from taxi drop off. Great pool, lovely rooftop terrace and generous breakfasts. Would definitely stay again.

The Riad Chergui is beautifully laid out and feels like a small oasis in the chaos and hubbub that is the medina in Marrakesh. The central courtyard and breakfast areas are cool and comfortable, the (icy cold!) pool area is lovely and the rooms are small for two but all you really need. The rooftop area is well laid out and a comfortable spot to enjoy views over the city. The breakfast is spectacularly good and the service from Abdul is second to none. He is super friendly, polite, well mannered, urbane and educated, speaking English, French, Arabic and 3 local dialects of his home country, Senegal. The rest of the staff are super helpful and friendly. My son got very sick on our trip and Adbul and his team rallied round to help him recover quickly. They are a great team. The Riad is easy to get to from the airport by taxi and a short walk away from the souk and main square in Marrakesh. When we settled up the bill, the owner allowed us to use up our remaining dirhams to part pay which was useful.
Cons: The room was a touch small for two people but other than that, we had no real complaints. Overall, this was a minor thing given all of the other features of the Riad.

We were a group of 8 business friends celebrating a birthday, drove two cars from.Casa. Since the info provided was completely insufficient, we were virtually left in the hands of these private parkings.. and remained worried for our entire stay. My car came away with a nasty scratch. Abdou at the Hotel and the kitchen staff were brilliant. Radouane was on leave and Emmanuelle at first seemed a tough owner, ticking off two of our colleagues fir a spilt beer and a chair out of place..so they were really upset... She warmed up to us gradually - but the initial ticking off was not good..esp after paying 200€ a night. Lights in the toilet are very poor and while the water pressure in our room.was good, another couple had issues. Another mention for Abdou - we gelled very well - being from.Senegal.. and he really made our stay really pleasant. I did find a pouch of money in my room.safe (Room 3) containing 900€ which I handed to Emmanuelle - Hope the person who lost it reads this message or is contacted by Emanuelle. Overall a beautiful Riad and did justice to Marrakech. A little more warmth in the welcome (I took it as her being humorous and we got along well) to others, would get them the 5 stars easily.

Beautiful and tranquil - an absolute oasis just a short walk from the souks. The pool was essential in 35 degree temperatures. The breakfast was really great value and filled us all up. We had one evening meal too which was very tasty. The rooms were super, clean and comfortable - having a fragment orange tree outside your bedroom door is so different and fragrant! Lovely staff - multilingual and helpful. Perfect base for a family with teenage children.

Quite simply, this is a tranquil oasis tucked around the corner from the hustle and bustle of the souk. As you walk in, the noises and smells of Central Marrakech fade away and the calm and quiet of the Riad take over. The decor is charming and the central pool is a sight to behold. We were welcomed by the incredibly helpful Nordine, who could not have done more to welcome us and answer our questions. The terrace is a lovely spot to relax in the fading sun and the poolside area couldn't be more relaxing. If the extreme heat isn't your thing, there are cosy corners to relax with a nice pile of cushions. Dinner the first evening was amazing. We quickly found out that the food is unrivalled in Marrakech. Choose the 15 or 20 Euro dinner option, at least the first night and you will probably want it again. We had a long day in the desert and loved coming back to the calm of the poolside area, watching the palm trees flutter in the breeze and enjoy the fabulous hospitality of Emmanuelle and Abdu. A special mention to Abdu, who alongside Nordine, went out of his way to ensure we were welcomed with a huge smile and lovely conversation. A large part of what makes this place is the amazing tranquility of this oasis combined with the amazing kindness. I celebrated my birthday here, and chocolate cake suddenly appeared for breakfast. An incredibly thoughtful gesture - thank you! Aside from the above, the wifi was strong and reliable, rooms absolutely spotless, linen very clean, beds lovely and firm (we love firm mattresses), breakfast excellent (lovely little donuts and incredible jams alongside the usual coffee, juice, fruit and yoghurt) and the simple yet thoughtful decision to supply a large bottle of water per room per day. This Riad has got all the little things right and it adds up to being a wonderful, relaxing and memorable stay. You won't regret staying here, we certainly don't. Thank you to everyone at Riad Chergui! We will definitely be back!

Highly recommend. We spent 2 nights here on the recommendation of friends and could not have been more pleased. The city is hectic, and a short walk to the action while lodging in quiet solitude was a blessing. The owner/operator is personally vested in the operations and it shows as she is atop every detail. Staff was wonderful.

A fine example of a Riad. We were taken care of very well by Aswan (the manager) and his colleagues. There were always people on hand to help. The pool was sublime, clean and mildly heated (to not have a shock on entering). The breakfast was well portioned with a variety of French and Moroccan baked goods. Eggs were cooked to order. There is an all-day available menu as well as the ability to have dinner on-site. You could also organise tours, massages and your laundry through the Riad. The staff were always eager to please and it was a wonderful experience to stay here during the end of our Moroccan adventure in Marrakech.
Cons: One of our rooms was on the ground floor, which meant less privacy and ability to open the windows, we appreciate this is unavoidable due to the layout of the Riad. Of note you will need to walk around 5-10 minutes from the closest road (but the Riad will usually organise a Porter and a staff member to come meet you - the porter then expects a tip of 20 MAD - this is usual in Morocco).

Chergui is a little oasis of calm in a hectic and manic town. Emmanuelle, Isabelle, Abu, and the girls are all great, they do their best to give you a plesant stay and Emmanuelle wa really helpful with recommendations and places on the map to visit. Be prepared for authentic rooms (and bathrooms) and if it’s chain style hotel perfection your looking for then be prepared to look elsewhere as the Riad ticks all the style and charm boxes of a proper Moroccan Home/guest house. If you want anything from the bar, go ask, there’s not waiting staff as everyone is busy keeping the courtyard clean and rooms well made. If ever I planned on a return trip to Marrakech I would most definitely stay here again!

My husband, daughter and I stayed here recently. My daughter flew back after 4 nights, whilst we stayed on a further 3 days. The staff were very welcoming, and did everything in their power to make our stay enjoyable. Emmanuelle gave us lots of useful information regarding restaurants, shopping and tourist attractions. When I had an upset tummy, the staff provided me with medication, and made me a lovely herbal drink to settle my stomach. It felt more like staying with members of a large, caring family than a hotel or guest house. The breakfasts were superb; freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit, pancakes and sweet Moroccan delicacies, different breads, cakes and croissants, honey, jam and soft cheese, followed by a choice of fried eggs, or scrambled, and of course, Moroccan mint tea or coffee.

I recently stayed at Riad Chergui with a girl friend of mine and from the minute we were picked up to the minute we were dropped off back at the airport was just perfect. Emmanuelle and her whole team working at the Riad were extremely helpful and the food was wonderful. The pool (despite being freezing) was a welcome break from the hot winter sun and the rooftop provided a perfect sunbathing set up. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and we were fortunate enough to have a room looking out over the pool. The Riad is down a couple of windey roads but after finding it once, it is easy to locate. Slightly out of the main hustle and bustle but just a 5 minute walk to some lovely restaurants and souks and about a 20 minute walk to the main square. I would highly recommended this to couples or groups of friends who want a nice chilled holiday in Marrakech

It needs some work the hotel is beautiful. Overall, the hotel is gorgeous.maids clean ed the rooms and food was made perfect. The staff worked hard. At moments it felt like you were being a bother you would find staff hiding on the phone in stairways. A little disorganized in planning outings. And it's in a sketchy area. If you can book outside of the old area less sketchy neighborhood. It feels like the management can't handle the thieves near by very well from bothering clients. That needs some work. Some disappointments but if u can look past that the hotel is beautiful.

Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff in a really quiet riad (tucked away but close to the busy streets in the Medina). Breakfast is plentiful (breads, pastries, yogurt, egg, ham and fresh fruits) and relaxed. Nice pool (quite large for a riad) and terrasse. Pretty decor - although a little tired in places, which adds to charm. Large rooms and comfortable beds. Air conditioning in our room was poor (nightly room temps of 30+ degrees Celsius) although it was fine in daughter's room. A perfect place to stay if you are seeking peace and relaxation.

Couldn't recommend this Riad more for a short stay in Marrakech. Walkable to the souks. Little oasis away from the mayhem. Service was excellent and the courtyard palatial.

We were greeted at our taxi point and taken through the winding alleyways we stepped into a subtle lit courtyard strewn with an assortment of huge lounging clean white settee areas around a beautiful green tiled lit pool. We were poured refreshing mint tea and a plate of local patisserie on our arrival Lter we were escorted to our gorgeous room (no.9) overlooking the pool. High white washed ceilings, traditional light fittings ,dark wooden wardrobes from floor to ceiling and a huge built in bath, clean white sheets, bottled water and a folder with all the information about the rhiad and the local area was left out for us to read at our leisure.we descended the steps to a pool side table and served with our three course meal of chicken tagine , fennel soup and raspberry mousse ,and white wine. the staff are friendly but discreet (it's a real benefit to speak french here you can learn more about the country and it's customs from the staff) after a comfortable sleep, broken briefly by morning prayers from the mosque and the noisy huge flock of finches gathering on the vast wall of jasmine in the courtyard, (all part of the charm of being in another culture.) we were presented with a traditional breakfast of eggs/cheese/fruit/pancakes/yoghurt/local bread/fresh coffee/fresh orange juice

We had a wonderful stay at Chergui. The staff was extremely friendly and Riad was comfortable and clean. The location was ideal for walking to the Souks and getting to Jemma Al F'na. Thanks again to all at Riad Chergui for making our stay so pleasant. There's no other Riad I would stay at on our next visit!

The Riad is tucked away amoungst narrow dusty alleyways, an oasis amidst the noise and hustle of Marrakech. We we're warmly welcomed and made to feel totally at home during our short stay. The pool is a gem in the heat and we spent most days gladly lying alongside or up on the secluded rooftop after getting lost in the endless Souqs. I'm looking forward to the next time we can visit!

Very relaxed 2 days prior to an organised tour. We booked very last minute (11pm the day before we arrived) and still Emmanuele was able to arrange an airport transport for us. We were greeted with mint tea while we filled in the paperwork and then shown to our room. She gave us lots of great tips. The Riad itself is gorgeous, and the pool area is so chilled out. Breakfast was lovely, we didn't eat at the Riad itself because there are a lot of birds in the bushes and I am not keen on them. The location of the Riad is perfect, easy to find. A short walk to the souks, about 15 minutes walk to the main square (but only 30 dirhams if you want to get a taxi).

This hotel was phenomenal. It was a unique cultural experience that will be nearly impossible to beat. The hotel is so beautiful that it will take your breath away. What is more, it is located inside the city, so you get to experience life in the middle of the city, not in a business district. You will be ASTONISHED by the location.

Charming Riad ...our first time in Marrakech...this Riad is beautiful and an oasis from the craziness of the medina. It has a great pool. We brought our children who are age 9 and 12. They were the only kids there so that felt a little awkward because they were making noise in the pool when everyone else was trying to read and relax. But no one complained and the staff was fantastic. Also the room was perfect for all four of us. Breakfast was great. I was really happy with Riad chergui.

I never review hotels but really had to say how amazing our stay was. Went with my mum for 4 days, we were upgraded to a lovely room overlooking the pool. The place is amazingly clean, comfortable and so pretty. It's easy to find as well so no worries about getting lost, the food was good and the staff so friendly and welcoming. I couldn't rate it highly enough and have absolutely no complaints.

We visited the riad with some friends and we got the 4 bedroom room , surprisingly that was much smaller than the rest 2 bedroom rooms. Everything was okay with the hotel and we had a good stay (except the bees which attack your breakfast every morning by dozens). Before leaving the hotel asked us to pay in dirhams even if the expedia invoice asked for euro. In total due to the exchange rate we paid 50 euro and the hotel said that the transaction couldn't be made through expedia direct debit as to avoid the 50 euro extra charge from the exchange rate. A few days later i saw my statement and there was another charge from the hotel as direct debit from expedia for the full TOTAL accurate amount of the room. I contacted the hotel numerous times and i wasn't able to reach them. After certain tries i managed to speak to them and they promised to refund the money back. Eventually they refunded me the money and the total amount was 30 euro less. When i contacted them again they given me excuses about the currency exchange as to be the reason why i received 30 euro less and they promised to give me the money back. 1 month later i received nothing.

Excellent hotel, strongly recommended. Ideally situated on the edge of the Medina, 5-10 minutes walk from the main Square and 10-15 minutes from the New Town. Very quiet, very friendly. Transfers to the Airport were arranged for us ahead of time by email. The pool is deep and clean, it's big enough to swim up and down, it has ledges to sit on at one end, and the patio around it has both sunny patches and shady patches throughout the whole day. The room was decorated and furnished in Moroccan style, and was thoroughly cleaned and tidied every day. If you're looking for a Riad in Marrakech, just choose this one and you won't be disappointed.

Riad Chergui is nothing if not elegant-- the decor is immaculate, the rooms are well-appointed, the service is attentive but never overbearing, just the right tone throughout. The pool is ample in comparison to most riad plunge pools. The food is superb-- exceptionally well prepared and presented. Emmanuelle is a gracious host and clearly runs a very tight ship
