This hotel is a true gem in Marrakesh! The staff are incredibly welcoming and their hospitality exceeded all my expectations—just like the warmth of everyone in the city. The riad is spotless, and the breakfast is delicious, with plenty of traditional breads to enjoy. Don’t be intimidated by the street leading to the riad. It might look a bit shady at first, but I never had any issues and felt completely safe, both day and night. A big thank you to the entire team! When I return to Marrakesh, I will definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone planning a visit.

Great location, almost in the heart of Medina. Very nice room, delicious breakfast and just amazing staff - huge thanks to Soufian, who was really willing to help and showed the most of hospitality.

Cons: One can only enter the riad after ringing the doorbell, which is fine, but during night hours it was disturbing, because we could hear everything from the room on the ground floor. And in general the sound isolation is quite poor.

Le personnel adorable, avec une étoile de plus pour Mimoun et Soufian, très gentils et attentionnés, et des petits déjeuner grandioses et typiques, et le thé aux delicisieuses saveurs berbères. Le Riad magnifique, lumineux, extra propre,et avec un très beau bassin pour se rafraîchir, terrasse en roof top arboré et agréable avec vue sur la koutoubia. The riad is truly beautiful, clean, welcoming, and perfectly located. We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The breakfast was delicious and generous. I would like to emphasize how attentive and helpful the staff were — especially Medhi and Sofiane — who were always available and ready to assist with anything we needed. Despite our late arrival due to a delayed flight, they kindly prepared a delicious dinner for us. On another occasion, we had to leave early for an excursion, and they thoughtfully arranged breakfast for us before the regular time. Moreover, I had requested a room on the upper floors, and they kindly gave us the beautiful one on the rooftop.

A localização do Riad é excelente, perto de tudo! O espaço é muito bonito, muito calmo e muito limpo! O pequeno almoço é muito saboroso e pode ser tomado junto à piscina ou no roof top do riad. Queremos destacar o atendimento prestado pelo staff!! Não decorámos o nome de todos, que foram sempre super simpáticos e atenciosos! Em particular queremos agradecer ao Aziz e ao Mimoun que nos deram todas as dicas essenciais para a nossa viagem!

We loved everything about the riad! The staff were so lovely and so attentive to everyone’s needs. We loved every staff member and always were met with a big smile and a good laugh. We are already making plans to come back to Marrakech because of how much we loved the riad. The breakfast is amazing and we loved how much selection there was. The riad also had the cutest little cat who’d come in and out and the staff were so lovely to the little cat! Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so wonderful!

The place is beautiful and very tasteful! The location is very good, all the sights are easily accessible. The room size was also really good, which is rare in Marrakesh. I have to emphasize that the kindness of the staff here is EXCEPTIONAL. They truly pay attention to you, and they go all the way to make your experience the best. I have never stayed anywhere which had such kind people. Everyone we talked to were really nice. I think they make this place special. I have stayed in other riads in Marrakesh before, but this was the absolute best.

The greatest asset of this place is both, personnel and location. The entire place is calm, quiet, full of good vibes and sound of water. Breakfast is very good, coffee wakes up immediately and warm air makes you chilled and happy.

The staff was absolutely 5 star! Incredibly kind and accommodating, we needed to check out early for our desert trip and they were able to serve us a full breakfast before the restaurant opening time. The Riad is located centrally and within walking distance from most points of interest. The room was super cosy and the aesthetic of the hotel was very pleasing. Highly recommend staying here!

Cons: Really the only thing to point out was that the water pressure in the shower was quite weak, but this might be a wider infrastructure thing in the old city.

I loved the authenticity of the Riad. Momoud was an exceptional host! We had an early check in and he offered us tea while we completed our paperwork and gave us lots of tips on things to do. Breakfast was lovely every morning sat around the pool, the room was very comfortable and the rooftop was an added bonus. Very central location but still quiet. Just a note that due to the design and the doors, the noise carries so we could hear talking, doors being opened/closed and preparations in the kitchen. On our first night when we were tired, we could hear the music being played from in the lounge quite loudly, tho it did stop at 10.

Cons: If I had to find a fault, which is hard, it would be that because the Riad is small and the ceilings are so high, you can hear all the noise from guests in the lobby, opening and closing doors etc. However, I would definitely go back anyways.

When I got there, they greeted me with tea and let me relax while they handled the check-in. They also took the time to explain the neighbourhood, which was so helpful. The location was absolutely ideal – right in the centre and easy to walk everywhere. It made getting around Marrakech a breeze. My room was spotless every day, and the bed was so comfy – exactly what I needed after a long day exploring. Breakfast every morning was delicious and served with such a friendly smile. It really set me up for the day. I also treated myself to the hammam while I was there, and it was incredible – such a relaxing experience and amazing value too. One day, I mentioned I wanted to pick up some spices, and Mimoun kindly walked me to a shop he trusted. Such a thoughtful gesture! Every single day, Soufiane and Mimoun went out of their way to make sure I had the best experience. Their kindness and attention to detail really made my trip special. This riad is a gem – it’s beautiful, the staff are wonderful, and it’s brilliant value for money. I’m already planning my next trip to Marrakech, and I wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else!

Me and my sister (early 20s females) stayed in this riad for 5 days. After wandering the busy streets, stepping into this property was a beautiful oasis. The staff were so helpful and talked us through a map of the city and circling things of interest. They gave us great advice and warnings as well as offering to walk us to our activities themselves. We were given the room on the roof terrace and it was amazing to have the doors open in the day to enjoy the sunshine. The bathroom had everything we needed and the bed was firm and comfortable. The staff could not have been more accommodating. They made traditional Moroccan breakfast each day and were happy to serve it anywhere you liked so a few days we ate on our roof in the sunshine. They chatted to us about our activities and if we were heading out for a walk in the evening they made sure they stayed in to let us back in the property. The location of the property was also right in the middle of all the activity and made it easy for navigating our way around.

Cons: Initially hard to find and there are two riads with similar names however after knocking on the wrong one the staff member took us to the correct one and stayed with us until we were checked in which was so kind.

I had a great stay at La Croix Berbere. The staff is amazing: warm-hearted people who provided me with useful tips and took time to chat every day as well. The reception is open 24/7. My room and the rest of the Riad were perfectly clean. A classic Moroccan breakfast was prepared fresh every morning. Nice pool and rooftop terrace. The Riad is located 3 min by foot from the main square (Djeema el Fna). Great location to explore the medina with all its Souks. Transport from/to the airport was arranged by the hotel, everything went smoothly. Thanks a lot to the team for hosting me and making my stay in Marrakesh a pleasant one. We were greeted with an incredibly warm welcome upon our arrival by the wonderful staff members, Mimoune and Habibe. Throughout our entire stay, we were treated like cherished family and received the utmost hospitality. This Riad feels like a cozy home rather than a typical hotel. It is impeccably clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, all at a very affordable price. Worst hotel experience ever! We are staying here for 2 days we have problems during 2 days. They are closing exit door of the hotel. When we asked them how we can come and go back, they said ‘one person will be at lobby 24 hours and he will open the door for you’. But yesterday night we can’t go outside from the hotel because anybody locked the main door of the hotel and he went! Nobody can go out of the hotel during 25 minutes! And tonight when we came back to hotel, we couldn’t enter to hotel because the door was locked again and nobody was at the lobby! We had to wait for 20 minutes to enter. He had locked the door and went to somewhere! Worst hotel experince for us!

We spend 4 night at this lovely riad. Location was amazing, breakfast included and staff super nice. Really recommend stay here. The room vas big enough and it was clean. They toilet and the shower were really good and clean. If we have to say something “bad” it will be the noise, but you’ll expect this as is a “house”. Staff was really helpful and friendly. We really enjoy our stay there.

It was a beautiful riad where you could come to rest from the busy city. The people working there was incredibly kind and helpful. They explained everything about Marrakech and they were able to book taxi’s for us and excursions. Also nice to learn a bit about the culture and their traditions. Lovely breakfast as well. We had a great time and would recommend it to others as well!

Cons: It’s not really a dislike. We noticed in our bathroom that we could not place the shower head in the holder. There was one light in the bathroom that was flickering. Just a few minor things, but these were almost insignificant for the wonderful service we have gotten!

Our room was small but cosy on the upper floor, which was really calm and quiet. The staff was great, they were so helpful and caring, which gave us a very welcoming feeling. We booked a daytrip through the hotel, quad and camel ride in the desert, which did not turn out the way we expected. There were problems with the organisation and drivers. However, we contacted the hotel and they helped us out the best they could. Overall, we had an amazing stay here and surely recommend this riad!

The position is unbeatable. Less than 5 minutes walking from Bab Laksour, the door of the medina where the taxi from the airport drops you off and 5 minutes walking to Jemaa El Fnaa square. A couple of minutes away from the renowned restaurant and rooftop bar El Fenn and to many city attractions such as Dar El Bacha museum and cafè, Jardin secret, Koutobia mosque. The riad itself is enchanting, has tastefully decorated rooms, a very aesthetic and ‘instagrammable’ patio with pool and a roof terrace with sun beds and a carved coverage to avoid sun burning. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Cons: The room was a bit cold (we catched a very cold week in the end of November). There was an air conditioning heater and blankets though.

The staff were tremendous, very helpful, nothing was too much for them.

Cons: I enquired after the earthquake whether Marrakesch had been affected and were told definately not. When we arrived we found we were not in the Riad we had booked. The staff were very apologetic and said that damage had been caused to the Riad we should have been in. Our original room was not satisfactory but we were moved to a better room after 5 days. We were then offered a move to our original Riad when repairs had been completed but did not wish another upheaval and knew and liked the staff.

Like staying with family. They say when you stay at a Riad it is like staying with family. This could not be any closer to the truth. The staff at the Riad La Croix Berbere are simply amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable and enjoyable. They arranged for a local guide to show us around the old city. Saffi is simply a wonderful person and is now a part of our Icelandic family. I highly recommend staying there. We will be back.

Location is excellent close to the very heart of the old part of the town (walking distance). Staff was very kind and hospitable. Transfer from and to the airport was safe and secure. Architecture of the hotel is typical for that part of the world so you know you are in Morrocco.

Cons: Little privacy room-wise due to all windows opening onto inside walkway/pool area. Shutters needed to be kept closed. "Pool" was actually just a plunge bath but really not different to other Riads we stayed in. Roof-top terrace was well shaded & comfortable loungers.

The staff was verry friendly and helpfull. They showed us all possibilities we could do in the city and give us nice and good advice, where to eat and where to go. They also arranged for us private day excursions with verry good guides and driver. The rooms were very clean.

Cons: My friends and myself ,we are all above 70 years old and not so mobile anymore. My room was on the third floor. The luggage was brought upwards by the friendly staff, but the real steep staircase upstairs was for me a daily torture. We didn't know it before. So, I cannot recommand this higher located rooms for older people.

The breakfast is bread and cake based with a selection of conserves, honey and cheese. The staff at the Riad did a wonderful job of making me a gluten free breakfast which I was so grateful for. The rooftop and common spaces were super comfy and I loved our room. The location is fantastic for anyone who wants to be in the heart of the medina and enjoys walking around the old city.

Cons: It's hard to find something to critique however it is could be worthwhile to note that it was common to be woken by other guests, this is for two reasons; 1. The locking mechanism on the door is very loud and 2. The design of the Riad means that noise travels up from the pool / breakfast area. As soon as guests begin eating breakfast it is almost impossible to stay asleep. The same issue exists when other guests come in late at night.

The staff was amazing. They helped us out with directions and information about the whereabouts. Also, they helped us out with other traveling opportunities.

Cons: The lack of a fridge, TV, a safe and bathroom ventilation was a bit of a problem. Also, the pedestrian route to the hotel was a bit dubious at first, but easy to follow once you get to see it. Other than that, ideal.

I have just returned from a holiday to Marrakech which was booked via Booking.com. My friends and I were expecting to stay in Riad La Croix Berbere which was advertised as having a pool and a double and triple room to accommodate myself and my friends. Upon arrival, we were told that the Riad that we had originally booked was under construction, and that we would have to stay in another Riad down the street instead. We had emailed the original Riad days before travel and they had plenty of time to explain the situation to give us a chance to re-book somewhere else, but they did not mention this at all until we had already arrived. The new Riad that we were put in did not have a pool, the triple room which we had booked and paid for was not prepared with a third bed and the double room was much smaller than what we were expecting. Further to this, we were given towels with holes in them to use, and the wardrobe in the small double room was filled with mould. Our stay in Marrakech was not as advertised on the Booking website and we did not get what we paid for. I would like a full refund for the entire stay and I would also advise that hotels and their amenities are properly described on the Booking website and kept up to date to prevent this happening to anyone else.

My friend and I stayed here for a total of 5 nights the last week of December in 2022. The riad is in an absolutely terrific location in the middle of the old city...close enough to everything, but yet also just far enough away to be quiet at night. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and charming. Breakfast each morning is quite good- delicious breads, juice, coffee, yoghurt, and hard boiled or fried eggs. The staff, especially Ali, is what makes this place a real gem. I simply can't say enough good things about Ali. He gets you set up in the riad, points out all of the major sites on a map, and is available to help with any trip logistics- like booking excursions or suggesting restaurants. He made our trip so much better than it would otherwise have been. All of the staff were friendly and helpful- it was great. One note about the riad: as others have noted, rooms on the ground floor can be noisy if guests coming back late at night aren't quiet. Upper floor rooms don't have that issue. I'm looking forward to a return visit to Marrakesh and will absolutely stay at Riad la Croix Berbere again.

Most of the sightseeing places in Marakesh are within walking distance of the hotel. It is located in the narrow streets of the old city, so not good to come by car. Breakfast is ok. Wifi is very good. The employees are helpful. They are very responsive when you send a message.

The service was awesome. They kept our bagages for free a few days while we were traveling in the desert. We sent someone to pick them up and they were extremely cautious about handing them out. They called us, took copies of identification papers before letting the person leave with the baggages. They were very helpful with all kinds of requests we had. The were fabulous.

The riad was very nice. It was in a very convenient area to get to everything, you could get to the Jemaa El-Fnaa in a matter of minutes, to the El Bada and Bahia Palais in around 20 minutes and you could walk to Gueliz in about 25 minutes. It was very quiet in the riad. The hosts were the best part of the stay, they were extremely helpful, especially the night host. We went on a few day trips and the host helped to organise these by contacting the travel companies and even walked us to the pick up point to ensure we went the right way. The only negative of the riad was the WiFi was a bit inconsistent and would go in and out of connection on our phones, but otherwise, it was a great stay in Marrakesh. If I was to go back to Marrakesh, I would strongly consider going back to this riad

beau Riad, mais décevant vu la présentation faite par le site EXPEDIA. Nous avons réservé une chambre pour 3 personnes adultes dite DELUXE. Elle faisait moins de 15 m² ( hors salle de bain). Le 3ième couchage s'est résumé à un rajout d'un lit supplémentaire au bout du lit principal. Impossible de tourner autour du lit et d'ouvrir l'armoire. Chambre bruyante avec le ballon d'eau chaude ( électrique) qui se déclenchait plusieurs fois par nuit. Personnel très accueillant, très agréable, sympathique et toujours très prévenant.

I stayed here with a friend. I'd booked quite a long time ago, knowing we were only staying one night we had knowingly booked one of the more basic riads. It wasn't until I came to write the review that I noticed the riad shows a pool, which the riad we stayed in did not have. I got to photo 70 and hadn't seen our room yet. From reading reviews it appears they have a sister riad and I believe the photos here are that riad - this is very dishonest. Had I looked at this when I was there I'd have been really disappointed and disgruntled. However I didn't and taking the riad on face value, it was basic, clean and nothing extraordinary compared to others I have stayed in. It is reasonably cheap and the location is go, its right on the edge of the souks. We were setting off early the next day and they did an early breakfast for us.

Haus liegt in der Altstadt von Marrakesch. Ist gut zu erreichen und von dort sind die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß zu besichtigen. Nettes Team das freundlich und aufmerksam dafür sorgt das der Aufenthalt schön ist. Zimmer liegen im Erdgeschoss, 1. Obergeschoss und 1 Zimmer auf dem Dach. Typisches Riad Haus mit Hof in der Mitte und den Zimmern herum angeordnet. Dachterrasse ist sehr schön angelegt mit teilweiser Überdachung. Mir hat es gut gefallen und ich würde wiederkommen. Personal geht auf Wünsche ein und organisiert entsprechend.

Dieses Riad ist wie eine kleine Oase in der Hektik von Marrakech. Es ist sehr zentral ein paar wenige Gehminuten von Place Jemaa Fna gelegen und trotzdem sobald man die Türe hinter sich schließt wahnsinnig ruhig und erholsam. Der Weg durch das kleine Gässchen ist komplett ungefährlich und die Rezeption des Riads ist rund um die Uhr besetzt. Das Personal im Riad La Croix Berbère ist überaus zuvorkommend, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind gepflegt und sauber, die Betten sind bequem. Frühstück kann im schattigen Innenhof oder auf der Dachterrasse eingenommen werden. Ich kann das Riad La Croix Berbère nur weiterempfehlen!!! Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

een aanrader, kleinschalig 7 kamers, lekker zonnig dakterras, pand met de sfeer van vroeger, s morgens wakker worden met zingende vogels, Je voel je niet in het centrum zo rustig is het. Het personeel is perfect ze doen alles wat mogelijk is. Geef aan het Raid door dat ze je op het vliegveld op komen halen, sturen zij een busje kosten ca. 11.00 euro. Personeel wacht je dan in het centrum op en breng je door de steegjes naar het Riad. Zij hebben 2 Riads 1x de gewone en een hele luxe daar is de sfeer iets moderner, kamers groter en een bubbelbad op het dak.. maar het bubbelbad mag je ook gebruiken als je in de eenvoudige Riad verblijft. Aanrader zij hebben een echt goede keuken.

Le petit dejeuner génial surtout sur la terrasse, merci Mohsen! De la chambre on entend tt ce qui se dit dans le patio. Il a vraiment besoin d'être rénové. Çote quartier, Pour une 1ère fois, il faut s'habituer à se déplacer dans la médina, pas évident la nuit, mais sécurisée.

Il riad è cofortevole, a pochi minuti dalla piazza principale, cuore pulsante di Marrakesc, Hamza e Omar sono stati estremamente disponibili, ci è hanno aiutato dandoci indicazioni per escursioni e per i trasporti. Un ringraziamento particolare per Abde, che con la sua simpatia ci ha regalato momenti di divertimento danzando e suonando con noi e facendoci conoscere brani di musica berbera. Esperienza da ripetere The riad is comfort on the edge, just minutes from the main square, the heart of Marrakesc, Hamza and Omar were extremely helpful, they have helped by giving us directions for excursions and transportation. Breakfast typical, well maintained, it was served on the terrace. Special thanks to Abde, who with his sympathy gave us moments of fun dancing and playing with us and letting us know songs of Berber music. Thanks to all the staff at the Riad. Experience to be repeated

Hemos estado 3 dias visitando la ciudad,el riad muy tranquilo i centrico ,las calles estrechas ,tiendas por todos los lados, el regateo,el zoco y pasear por los restaurantes con sus camareros unicos, toda una experiencia.

Helpful and friendly staff, great mint tea! Comfortable room, nice and quiet. 2 minute walk to jama el fena and souks. Perfect all round.

Location is 3 mins walking from Jamaa el Fna square and busiest Souks around. Yet, amazingly quite and peaceful day and night. Small Riad, not luxurious but nicely decorated, comfortable, clean and warmly hosted by very friendly staff and owners. Brother Riad Croix Berbere de Luxe offers bigger rooms and a more louxorious setting at higher prices for those who expect to spend more time at the hotel which was not my case.
