The Riad have great potential for the facilities, staff and location. The breakfast is good and the guys at reception and serving breakfast are super diligent. The rooftop have stunning views of sunset and koutoubia. They pride themselves on being close to the action but away enough to not have noise from the outside and that is true. It is also true that the noise come from the inside, kids yelling in the pool without control, male guest talking super loud and housekeeping slamming doors. If you’re tired and want to sleep thru the morning, forget about it; it gets worse if you’re on the first floor. There should be some kind of control since this is not a waterpark or family/kids centered hotel.

Mietwagen sicher unterszustellen.

The riad itself was beautiful and staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was with noise of other guests which woke us up every morning. As the dining area is in the courtyard, we would have appreciated quiet hours. We also found the bed very firm so it was hard to resettle after being woken up

We really enjoyed our stay at Riad Tawargit. I typically don’t write reviews but decided to do so as travelling to Morocco and not knowing what to expect in a Raid I relied heavily on them. The location is walking distance from everything. It was a two minute walk from being dropped off at Parking Place Douar Graoua. Highly recommend being dropped off here with your taxi to avoid travelling too long through the Medina with your suitcase. I also like the fact that this parking lot was our reference point in navigating the Medina back to our Riad. The hospitality that we received from Yassine was exceptional!!! He is amazing. We were two women and felt safe here. Yes there were narrow stairs to get to the room but this is typical for all Riads unless you request to be put on the ground floor. The breakfast was good. This was my first experience in a Riad and I would return here.

Lawrence, the property owner has a beautiful jem within the city of Marrakech. The dedicated staff are exceptionally kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. Each staff member was wonderfully accommodating. Before arriving, we experienced excellent communication. We booked the welcome dinner and airport transfers in advance. Jessy was the first to warmly greet us and the last to wish us Bon voyage. He was amazingly helpful. The welcome and farewell dinners were my absolute favorite. My mouth is watering at the thought of the succulent chicken tagine. The beef tagine was delectable also as it was paired with dates. The morning breakfasts were delicious and hearty. Try the scrambled eggs prepared traditionally with dried meat. You won’t be disappointed. Additionally, our host supported us in scheduling an amazing excursion. We now have a beautiful family, memory of riding camels and ATVs through the breathtaking desert in Morocco. Riad Tawargit is exquisite primarily because the energy of care and support permeating the beautiful space. My only regret is not taking advantage of the spa services provided. We will definitely stay at the Riad Tawargit again.

This was mine and my husbands first time in Marrakech, and we stayed at the perfect riad! The room was spacious, clean, and had a traditional interior. The staff were very accommodating and always happy to help and they made our stay even better! If we are lucky enough to visit Marrakech in the future we would stay at this riad again and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay!

Clean riad with good breakfast. It’s a little confusing to get to for a first timer, so ask the taxi driver to drop you off at a very specific location that is closer. The rooms are charming, but you can hear across the walls. Overall, it’s a good riad to experience in Marrakech.

The riad is located less than 10 min walk from the main square. The riad is beautiful and the staff are also really nice. However, the room I'm staying in is in a poor condition. There's a puddle of water leaking from the toilet every night. We told the staff about it but it's not fixed for all three nights we are staying. Overall mediocre experience.

I didn't love this place. They had ridiculous and frivolous extra charges to pay when I arrived - which is unacceptable and no other place in Morocco did this to me. It smelled kind of bad. The staff did not have very good English skills, and too many people were staying there at the same time. They also overcharge you by about 2-3x to book a cab to the airport.

Staff is very kind and attentive, especially Yassim. There is no TV in rooms, not even in so called TV room/guest lounge. Our room (Room 2) was basic and main shower (with rain-shower head) was impossible to use due to drainage not functioning properly and we still have to wipe water off the floor, every time after cautious and quick use of a small shower head bellow and use flip flops as our ankles were submerged in water. Breakfast is very basic, even for continental breakfast standard and consisting of: 3 kinds of jams every morning (strawberry, apple and apricot), honey, sweet sponge cake, sweet pancakes, sweet small Danone Yoghurt (on most mornings), bread(on some mornings) is wormed up baguette, which is stone hard within minutes. There is butter but nothing to spread it on unless on cake.Only healthy thing I appreciated was a small glass of freshly squeezed orange juice per person. Coffee is good and strong but you only get small jar of milk ( around 50ml per couple) to last, which it doesn’t. On my last morning I was served hot chocolate instead of milk, which almost made me cry. Sofien (staff) replaced it without apology, when reported. Unless you absolutely love sugar for breakfast this breakfast is not for most people and there is no variation at all, therefore I would give it maximum of 1star. My husband got food poisoning from eating on Medina (Jam el Efna), so please be cautious as conditions and sanitation is bellow awful.

Riad Tawargit is a lovely, atmospheric place. The staff are all so friendly and kind, particularly Neza who was seemingly always there to offer advice or help, or just pass the time of day. The owner Laurent was also there for a few days while we were there and he was also very friendly and super keen to know our thoughts about the place and if any improvements could be made. There's a lovely roof terrace where we sat every evening to chat or read with a drink before supper. The food and wine at the riad are excellent too. All in all, a wonderful place to holiday - there was nothing about it that we didn't like!

We enjoyed our stay at Diar Tawargit, it’s quite and close to the souk (market), main square and restaurants. The area is safe, people are friendly and helpful. What might not be important to others is that there’s no TV in the room, when on holidays I still like to watch the news in the night. Also there’s no tea making facility in the room. The shower could do with more scrubbing, but the bathroom and room are otherwise clean. We requested 2 single beds, these are small singles by UK standards. Apparently they are normal single size in Morocco. Finally breakfast is all sweet stuff, cake jam and pancakes. If you have other dietary needs you better negotiate these before booking. It took me 3 days and a review on trip advisor to get feta cheese. All in all would recommend this place.

I had a wonderful time at Riad Tawargit on my stay June 8 to June 11, 2019, at the top room. The Riad is located close to the markets and souks. It is a short walk and gave me no problems. The staff was very accommodating, and the breakfast each morning was a great start to the day. My room was very clean and the amenities are updated (great rainfall shower in my bathroom plus a towel heater which I always appreciate). AC in the rooms. The details in the windows/ shutters are so beautiful. And the staff was helpful to plan events/ excursions. Thanks for a nice time! Anthony V

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was magical and we had a very lovely stay. The WiFi connection was sometimes low and the shower in the executive suite was both very cold and very hot; I would say this would be the only two points to improve. Overall, we would definitely recommend the riad - which is also perfectly located.

The riad is beautiful and the owners and staff have fine attention to detail. The staff were very helpful and couldn't have accommodated us more. We dined in one night - and the dinner was gorgeous, the best tagine we had during our stay! The staff was friendly and the location was good. The room was extremely small( approx. 16 inches from the foot of the beds to the wall) and the bathroom was very small. We paid for 3 adults and requested 3 beds. The 3 " bed" was just a mattress on the floor which blocked the closet( so we had to move it.). The night manager did not know how to operate the room heater and could only find one extra blanket( we asked for an extra blanket to each of us) which he had to take from another guest room. They did not have a third hand towel for us and said that it was being washed and we did not receive it until the next day. The riad was clean but very simple. It smelled like smoke on the second and third day of our visit. I think the price DEFINITELY was not warranted. I think that they should state that they cannot accommodate three adults in a room ( well, at least not in the room to which we were assigned.). I have never used Hotels.com before and am very disappointed with this experience. I have not had any similar problems with Expedia. We only had sporadic internet service( approx. 10 mins per day.)

I stayed in this Riad for about a week in late December. The place was spotless, the room was incredibly beautiful, and most importantly the staff were second to none. All three staff were equally helpful and welcoming. No matter the time of day/night, no matter the request, they would all make it a priority to help and with a smile on their faces. I had a few trips I wanted to try and they helped set it up for the next day. I also could come to them with questions and recommendations for things to do inside and outside the city and they were happy to talk. Ummm lastly, they have the patience of saints. There were a couple terribly rude guests who found it necessary to curse and yell at the staff continuously, but they handled it with such grace and poise. I would recommend this Riad without a doubt. It was the perfect place of solitude and comfort after a long day of wandering around Morocco.

A beautiful property and well situated. The package including dinner, spa treatments, and airport transfers was a pretty good investment at 90 euros. The woman who gave us our massages was amazing! Two of the employees that stood out were Soufiane and Yassine...Yassine always greeted us with a wide smile and he gave us a lot of important and useful information. Unfortunately our room was close to the chimney and the burning wood in the fireplace each evening, although a nice smell at times, permeated our room through the night. The wifi was weak and inconsistent throughout our stay. Helpful note: Alcohol is not easily found in the Mesina area. Only very few restaurants serve it. The riad does offer wine. If you plan to have white wine or rose at the riad on any particular day have it put in the refrigerator in advance so that it will be cold and ready for you. We found that most times when asking for it, at the time of wanting it, there was none in the fridge. There is a nice patio to enjoy wine and sunbathing on the rooftop.

The Riad Tawargit and their staff are incredible. It is truly a beautiful Riad and excellent service. I love that I was able to communicate via email with the hotel manager regarding airport transportation to and from and arrange a hammam and massage. Tea service at check in and breakfast in the courtyard were all a special touch. The location is just outside of the main hustle and bustle of the Medina so if you want to go and visit the Medina without staying in the heart of the Medina, this would be a great choice. Again, the staff is super accommodating and very helpful with whatever the question or need may arise.

The Riad is a perfect place for a long weekend in Marrakesh. it offers very good location, minutes away from the main part of the city, peaceful atmosphere with very relaxing and warm features. All very clean, homely, with friendly and accommodating staff. The all inclusive breakfast is generous well presented fresh and served with no time constraints. The wood burning fire place and lounge background music make a welcoming feel when back returning from the hustle and noisy city. One thing to be aware off is the porter that awaits at the square when taxi drops you off to take your bags to the Riad. Do not use him. The Riad is 50 yards around the corner. he will ask for 50 MAD and if you don't give exact amount and give a bigger note he will offer to bring back the change but you will never see him again! Be also aware of the tourist tax. Again, make sure you hand over the exact amount as giving change does not seem to be happening here.

This was my first time in Marrakech, and it won't be the last. The Riad Tarwagit is in a local neighbourhood very close to the Medina and Marrakech square the local people were friendly and helpful especially when I got lost a couple of times. As a lone female traveller I felt safe and welcomed. If you want to experience the real Marrakech I would recommend staying in a Riad within the local community, for the sights sounds and smells it is an authentic experience. A smile and mutual respect goes a long way.

The hotel itself was very comfortable and lovely. The rooftop terrace was my favourite place to relax at night after a long day exploring. Although not a problem, a tv and more breakfast options would have been nice since we stayed a total of 6 nights at the hotel and had at least 1 full day of staying in and hiding away from the city.

I could not have been happier with this Riad. The staff were so kind and helpful, and a joy to get to know. It is less than a 10 minute walk to Jemaa el Fnaa, and overall an easy walk to pretty much everything I wanted to see. Only took a cab to the Marjorie Gardens due to my concern of getting lost, otherwise I easily walked from the Riad everywhere I wanted to go. I believe due to the fact I was a female traveling alone, Yassin was always too kind, each day/night he would walk me out of the Riad, and down the little alley, and wait with me until the cab or excursion van picked me up. This was not necessary, as I felt very safe, and could easily walk the 3 minutes from drop off / pick up point to and from the Riad, but a simple act of kindness and ultimate guest service on the part of Yassim. I cannot recommend Riad Tawargit highly enough. The Riad itself is stunning, room immaculately clean, and staff overwhelmingly kind, and welcoming. The roof top garden was my little respite each night before going to bed. Riad Tawargit is so close to Jemaa el-fnaa, but cannot hear a sound other than the birds chirping, once inside the Riad.

Marrakesh is a unique experience... be prepared! We had an amazing time and were there for Eid which was simply wonderful to witness in the big square. Might be a good idea to familiarise yourself as much as possible with the terrain before your visit to Marrakesh if it is your first time... very easy to get lost and distracted.. every purchase needs to be bartered in the Souk and it is advisable to start at around 50% of the asking price if not less! And be firm but friendly. Day trips are well worth it ... I thought I would get travel sick but didn't and the transport is normally air conditioned. We went to the waterfalls and to the coast. Was a great opportunity to see the rest of Morocco and good to get away from the wonderful madness of Marrekesh for a day.. Also recommend the Camel ride if you have not had one before.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel was good value for money, the room and bathroom was a good size, the staff were friendly and spoke good English, breakfast was included and the riad itself was beautiful. It is a 10minute walk to the main square, but very safe, we walked even at night and never had any issues. Although the room was lovely, we were only given 1 soap, 1 shower gel and 1 shampoo for our whole 5 night stay. I don't know if this is common in Marrakech but it would've been good to have these replenished when they ran out. Also, although the room was clean, I don't think they changed the sheets at all during our stay. Overall was a nice hotel a bit out of town and was good value.

This riad was an oasis of tranquility within the bustling medina. We cannot rave enough about our stay--everything was perfect from the picturesque decor (photos do not do it justice!) to the impeccable service to the serene mood. We were welcomed like family and treated with the utmost care throughout our stay--it felt like we had our own personal host to take care of our every need. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and very clean! Our hosts offered recommendations, booked restaurants for us and helped with coordinating our Sahara excursion. The interior hot tub was perfect for soaking our feet after a long day walking the markets. The rooftop had a fantastic view of the interesting building tops throughout the city and was a lovely place to sit for a glass of wine as the sun set. We absolutely loved everything about our stay--five stars!

This hotel has nice facilities. It is small, with only 9 rooms rooms are clean and the courtyard is attractive. If you are not comfortable speaking French you may find the hotel staff somewhat hard to communicate with. Most speak little English, but there is one gentleman who does English passably well. I would not reject this Riad on that basis. If you can get a good price, a very good choice for accomodationa in Marrakesh.

Very nice riad, that offers meals, hammam, and massage, as well as a lovely roof top patio. Olivier is the host with the most. He can set up pretty much anything that one would like to do and is very efficient. The riad is close to the big square and all the action but far enough away that you don't have all the noise.

The whole neighborhood around the hotel smelled really bad! The showers had a very low pressure and water sometimes wasn't clear. The staff were nice and friendly but knew a little English so communicating was hard.

Nice staff, delightful room and a good breakfast. Easy to find from the big square. Go down the street next to Le Marrakech restauraunt and follow the many signs for Pepe Nero restaurant.

Had a fantastic time in Marrakech, in great part thanks to a brilliant hotel. It's only a few minutes walk from the main market and museums so location is great. The staff where always helpful and friendly, all the way from the manager to the cook and cleaner. The hotel offers a peaceful, homely feel that could not have been more appreciated after walking around in the busy Medina all day. Would recommend taking them up on the offer of picking you up at the airport. We would never have found the hotel without paying some locals to show us the way through the maze of narrow streets. This ended up being more expensive than it would have been to buy the transfer the hotel offers, and quite a bit more nerve-wracking. Dinner at the hotel is a bit pricey compared with eating out at restaurants, but well worth trying at least once

This was a perfect place to stay, a haven, beautiful, calm, well located - just 7 minutes from the main square, even closer to the palaces in the south with charming, thoughtful, helpful staff. Every little thing was attended to as it would be in a luxurious hotel - breakfast and meals were served - whenever the guest turned up - in individual areas, rooms were heated when the weather was cooler, fresh flowers and fruit decorated the reception areas, tea or coffee was provided whenever I had to wait.....when I asked for suggestions on places to go, they were excellent. There were always smiles or a friendly greeting. The riad was even better than I expected from the photos; it is quite beautiful, the walls and much of the furniture are finished in soft shades of tadelakt, the floors are tiled, there are soft white banquettes and sofas in the main areas and niches, some with colourful cushions. Against this background, the traditional workmanship of the furniture and spectacular lamps stand out. Traditional fireplaces are stacked with wood, banana palms grow in the main room.. Everything is thoughtful from the rose petals in the fountain, the games and range of books provided, the water bubbling in the pool, to the thick towels in the bathroom and most comfortable bed. The Wi-Fi worked well. Needless to say everything is scrupulously clean. Breakfast was a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. The dinner I had was also delicious, beautifully presented.

We visited for four nights with our three grown up children and were pleasantly surprised to find such a beautiful and comfortable hotel in the old quarter of Marrakesh. The Manager is a French gentleman named Olivier who remained in contact with me constantly before arrival and arranged a good vehicle appropriate for a group of five people. All the staff were wonderful especially Yasin, Soufian and the female supervisor who was very friendly and active. The breakfast was of great variety and we enjoyed the quiet ambiance with the other guests. The rooms were clean and tidy and house keepers very efficient changing towels etc. regularly. Our rooms even had our own balconies. Our stay in the Riad gave us a real flavour of what it would have been like to live in a traditional Moroccan house because of the architecture albeit with all the modern amenities. We recommend this Riad strongly to anyone visiting Marrakesh on leisure trip. We would definitely be returning.

The staff here is amazing--so friendly, helpful, always available, English & French speaking. The breakfast is included and delicious and timing flexible. Lunch and dinner are not included, but best value around. The Riad is very close to everything, but tucked away down a private road so quiet and great for relaxing. We had our own private deck with panoramic views of the mosque and mountains. I can't say enough great things about Riad Tawargit!

We had a great stay. The staff was awesome, polite and very attentive. We felt we were treated as if at a 4 star hotel. There is a kitchen and chef on site who prepared excellent dinners to order. Wonderful breakfast too. This Riad is in a relatively quiet (for the Medina) neighborhood.

The Riad is nicely kept, with very helpful staff. The Morrocon meal we had at the Riad was absolutely amazing. The roof top sun trap was an added bonus. The Riad is within 10 minutes walking distance to the main square. We walked everywhere, except to the new town which we went by horse and carriage, although this route is also walkable (around 45 minutes) from the Riad. Overall good experience.

A perfect place to stay when visiting Marrakech. A beautiful Riad well situated not far from the main square and all of the main attractions. The Riad was just perfect. We were treated so well by the wonderful staff and felt very welcomed and pampered throughout our stay. Everyone was so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The room Suite 9 was lovely and spotlessly clean. We had a Hamman and massage there which was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this Riad Tawargit and can't wait to return.

If you're researching like I had, you're probably seeing most reviews raving about the service, regardless of the Riad. It was frustrating as either all these riads are exceptional or the reviewers never received good service before. Well!! I am happy to report that the staff at Tawargit really are wonderful. Our experience was warm & we were well taken care of. Communicating was manageable as between their English & our dusty high school level French, we understood & were understood. I also couldn't find out what breakfasts were served during my research, so this is what Tawargit served: homemade cake, some type of crepe, roti, or pancake, fruit, yogurt, & assorted beverages. Our room: the bed was on a built-in platform (you'll likely see a photo of it), so getting in/out from the inside wasn't the most convenient. I'm not a fan of the rainshower type shower head & since there was no door to the shower, water tended to get out. Lastly, location: I'm so glad we were not on the side near the souks & madness. It was good to get away from the chaos. It was easy to find our way back to the riad from the square by following signage for a restaurant "Pepe Nero", 1 alley next to the riad. Tawargit doesn't accept credit cards so be armed with cash to settle your bill at check out.

Visited this Riad with five girlfriends of maturing age to celebrate a big birthday and the staff just could not do enough for us the minute we arrived. The rooms were light and airy with all the facilities one would expect and a lovely terrace of which we had lovely sundowners. The spa treatments were excellent and just rounded off our stay perfectly.
