A lovely riad that accepted our reservation on extremely short notice after having to leave our previous 'hotel' (Le Relais De Marrakech) due to unsatisfactory standards. In contrast, Riad Mboja had welcoming staff that went above and beyond to accomodate us, an extremely clean room/bathroom, free breakfast every morning, and a lovely terrace to enjoy. Extremely happy to have stayed here. The only 'negatives' that may be important to know: - The room was quite small. It was managable for us but may not be suitable if you need something more spacious. - Sound is transmitted quite easily around the building so may not be well-suited for light sleepers - It's located on quite a busy street, however, we didn't have any problems with noise from outside during our stay. Overall 10/10 and would definitely recommend.

The Riad was beautiful and a great base for our city break. One road to the main square and all other attractions within the medina were 15 mins walk away. The staff were super friendly and helpful and we even met the owner on his weekly visit to the Riad who again was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was traditional Moroccan food and was very good, taste and portions were perfect. I know it’s important to some so will also mention that the WIFI worked perfectly for our whole visit as well. Roof top terrace had plenty of seating and was a great place to watch sunset and sunrise. Will 100% stay here again when we visit the city in the future. Thanks again to the staff for a wonderful experience

Everyone at Riad Mboja was so friendly and helpful. They helped us with things to do (and not to do). Any need we had was immediately handled. The Riad was super clean and very well maintained. The room and bathroom really did look just as fantastic as the pictures. Breakfast was delicious, filling, and fresh. The whole place had a calmness that always made us smile. The roof had a nice view and was refreshing cool at night. The internet was the very fast and we never had issues with Zoom calls or other online needs. We really appreciated the service we got from Imane, Abdo and Saad. Saad treating us like royalty. He is amazing and took care of every detail at breakfast and at dinner. Also, thank you to Fawzi (the owner) for welcoming us at the start of our stay and giving us so much useful information. We really recommend staying at Riad Mboja. If the they have availably you should stay there even if it is more expensive than other Riads - you will not regret spending the little bit more. It is so worth it.

My first experience in Riad ... it was obvious. The service and decor are exceptional. A special thanks to Iman who received us with a beautiful welcoming smile and offered us tea and Moroccan cakes. All the staff were welcoming. I will return without hesitation.

Riad Mboja Chez Alibaba is a very tranquil and relaxing environment, with friendly staff and well-appointed rooms, only a 20-25 minute walk to the Souks and the main square of Jamaa el-Fnaa. Our only criticism was that part of our stay was during the festival of Eid al-Adha, during which there were no English-speaking staff, just a ''caretaker', which created a few issues when the air-conditioning unit in our room failed. However, this shouldn't detract too much from an overall positive experience.

Had a lovely three nights staying here - the Riad is in an excellent location, we didn’t get any taxis during our stay because it is walking distance to all of the main sites. We also used the shuttle transport from the Riad which was very convenient! The terrace is also a lovely place to relax after a long day, and has gorgeous views of the city. All of the staff were very nice and made our stay enjoyable, especially Aziz! He even woke up earlier to provide us with breakfast since we had a flight before the normal breakfast time. Will definitely be staying here again!

Overall it's an absolute gem of a place. Quiet location, lovely friendly staff and a great welcome with mint tea and a map. It is a 16 minute walk minimum from the Jemaa el-Fna square and therefore other main attractions, so bear this in mind if you'd rather be more central! I paid the €15 each way to and from the airport for a transfer and I'd recommend this because it would be hard to find otherwise! Breakfast is 7-10am each day and is a lovely selection of 4ish pastries, orange juice and tea or coffee. I would say the only issue I had was that I came down for breakfast at half 7 one morning as I had to leave just before 8 for an excursion. Noone was around and noone turned up until 6 minutes before I had to leave! So it was very rushed! Also for the airport I left at 07:10 and because the women who cook breakfast weren't there yet, I just had some orange juice and a bit of fruit and got some breakfast at the airport at inflated prices! So maybe I should have given them notice, but also if I've been told breakfast starts at 7am, that's what I expect. The rooms are simple but spotless and have aircon (an essential in summer), a good supply of hot water and clean towels. The only thing it's missing is a hot tub or some sort of pool you can actually get in - I really missed this and noticed that speaking to other travellers who had these, an afternoon dip would have been lovely!

Clean room. Attentive staff. Was disappointed because they advertised that they had a bar. This was not the case. When we arrived, we inquired about wine and they informed us that they never restocked after Ramadan. I respect religious beliefs, however, guests such as ourselves were disappointed. And they should have had alcoholic beverages available at the time of our stay.

The riad is very well kept and clean, the area is also very practical when visiting all there is to see in Marrakech, plus it's not as touristic as other areas of the city so you get to see locals going about their activities and get an insight into their daily life. What makes this riad standout from the many others is the level of service. The staff were really helpful and welcoming. We had the most contact with Aziz, who always had a smile on his face and answered any questions we had, a real asset to the property.

This is a beautiful Riad with a great terrace with a view if you climb up one extra flight. It’s close to a Medina entrance so not too far of a walk from transportation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was coming from a desert tour and Abdelaziz met me at my van at the gate to walk me to the riad. Upon arrival I was given a map and Abdelaziz went through some major attractions and how to get there. Later Yakoub made sure I had heard about how to get around and arranged for their driver to take me to the airport on my last morning. If you request earlier in the day they will serve dinner on the terrace. I did this my last night. The chicken tagine was delicious. I stayed 3 nights. The room was comfortable - small, but big enough for me. It was generally quiet, but the setup of a Riad means you often can hear people talking in the courtyard or when they come in. There was a rooster who called nearby early in the morning, but friends who stayed on the opposite side of the Medina said the same. Breakfast is served 8-10 am. The riad is on a small street just two quick turns off the main market street, so there’s lots going on nearby. I walked everywhere I went for my 3 nights - mostly in the Medina but also to the jardin majorelle. I’d definitely recommend this if you are looking for a Riad.

This hotel was the best place I stayed on my 6 nights in Morocco. Lovely staff, great location for visiting the Medina and amazing food. Upon my arrival I was greeted by reception and given biscuits/small cakes and mint tea, the Aziz then gave me a map of Marrakech and told me all the great places in the Medina to visit and eat for the last night of my stay in Morocco (and only night in the Medina) which really helped make the most of my time. The facilities are fairly basic (such as no pool) but the quality is great and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great (best of my stay in Morocco) and eating on the rooftop was pleasant. And then the airport transfer was great with being walked to the meeting point. I’ve never felt so compelled to write a detailed review before, but this hotel was perfect - especially for the great price. If I visit Morocco again, I would definitely rebook here and stay for longer.

Estupenda experiencia!!

A beautiful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the Médina. Ferdi, Simo and Ayoub have created a truly restful place. Ferdi was very helpful in sending very clear maps and photos how to fine the Riad, also immigration forms to save us time at the airport. Our room was cosy but included everything we needed, clean and well appointed. Comfortable bed and great shower with lovely hot water. The sunset view from the roof top was stunning and a lovely cool place to rest after a busy day in the Médina. Ferdi gave us excellent directions and booked us into the Palace for a special dinner on our last night. Ayoub even got up early and made us a delicious breakfast, fresh fruit salad, coffee and fresh apple cake - then walked us to our driver who took us to the airport for an early flight. I can not recommend this place highly enough, my only sadness was that we didn’t stay long enough.

We travel worldwide and stay in dozens hotels every year. This riad is the best hotel experience we've ever had! The staff showed a rear blend of professionalism and warm welcome you get from a family. Ferdi-the-manager, who is fluent in every European language, arranged our airport transfer, emailed to us immigration forms, and had our meal waiting upon arrival. He welcomed us with mint tea and local sweets, oriented us to the map and answered all our questions. He was always available with an advice, help with dinner reservations, or arrangement for a hammam visit (recommended). Two young assistants, Simo and Ayoub, were simply delightful. They made sure our stay was flawless. Simo greeted us with a big smile at the shuttle drop off and escorted us to the riad. Eager to help, he even shopped with us at a local pastry stand to get us a "friend price". Ayoub, who served us every meal, got up at 3AM to prepare our last breakfast, and then took us to the airport shuttle. At 3:30AM! The riad was gorgeous, immaculate, and authentic. Spacious room and comfortable bedding, with fresh rose petals spread on our bed every day! Food was excellent! Breakfast included a variety of fresh breads and pancakes with jams, butter, yogurt, coffee and tea. A choice of traditional meals was available for lunch and dinner. Riad is in the Old City. Easy walk to all the attractions. if you are a runner, ask Ferdi about nice routes. You will feel like you are taken care of at all times! Enjoy!

This riad is a jewel! Mariam was amazing she made the best breakfast, mint tea, always happy and such a pleasure to have met her. Luc was wonderful he scheduled our trip to the desert, taxis, and a great place to get a massage. I’m coming back next year to relax and finish seeing the rest of Morocco. There is riad kitty her name is Lundina she is the sweetest and everyone here is very welcoming I truly felt this was my home away from home. Great location to walk to a lot of the sites, go shopping, and just blend in with the locals.

Luc enjoys his job, and in a quietly assured way, ensured that we enjoyed our stay in his Riads. We were met and were delighted by his historic building. The petal strewn bed opened onto a balcony around the central space. Despite some rain and unusually cool temperatures he made sure we were introduced to the gardens and lanes that make this city. He also instructed us on where to change money and how to deal with the friendly traders! Finding space in his nearby Riad where we had been fed when we arrived late in the evening on the first night, Luc offered to move us to a room with large windows that opened onto the atrium. The evening meals were a wonderful introduction to Morrocan cuisine, so well chosen, that only on the lunchtime of our last day did we bother to try elsewhere. Sadly for us the roof terrace - a series of spaces at different levels overlooking the city - was only somewhere to read, because the early February sun was fleeting. For a place to stay where in a couple of turns you were into the food market, it was a delightful haven. Luc arranged for us to enjoy a Hammam and the warm glow engendered by this and the welcome from him and the interesting evening conversations with Abdullah stay with us as we reflect on Marrakesh weeks later at home in England.

As soon as I booked the Riad Mboja, Luc contacted me through Hotels.com. He is very nice and he arranged my transportation from Casablanca to Marrakech. As I was travelling alone, he was very helpful and made me feel comfortable from day one. He always go the extra mile. For instance, I had a problem with my local cellphone and he brought me to a local shop to get it fixed. Later on, he also arranged the 3 days 2 nights Sahara tour for me. Overall, I would definitively recommend his services. His guest house [riad] is well located and is a 10 minutes straight walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa. This is a very beautiful riad, clean with local decoration and features. From the roof top, one can see the beautiful sunset in Marrakech.

This was our first trip to Morocco and we will definitely be back. Luc and his team at the Riad Mjoba made it very special, Luc arranged our transport from the airport and personally met us from the point at which cars cannot travel any further into the medina. He provided mint tea whilst giving us an overview of the City, tips to ensure our safety and enjoyment and a map - he also provided his contact details assuring us he would be available if any problem arose - it didn't, but it was reassuring. The Riad itself was in a residential area, so very authentic, 15 minutes walk from most attractions through the souks. The souks are hectic (!) but the Riad was so peaceful and relaxing with a lovely roof terrace perfect for watching the sun go down. The inclusive breakfast is honestly the nicest I have had with homemade yogurt, crepes and cake alongside fruit, bread and preserves.

Luc is amazing, from the moment he met us at out taxi outside the Medina till two days later when he walked us to a taxi to get us to the airport at a fair price, he was there making sure out stay was perfect. Way better service than I would expect from an affordable place like this. The Riad is beautiful, the breakfasts were great, rooms very authentic, beds comfortable. If this is your price range and you want to stay in a Riad, this is your place. I had a cold, and Luc set up a spa treatment for me, again, such great service.
