I LOVED MY STAY HERE! Remember that the beds don’t have curtains, cause I forgot .. Location was amazing, didn’t take one single uber. It was super safe (finger print scanner for main entrance and rooms). Rooms and hostel were super clean, and they came in every single day to clean. Everyone is super helpful and even gave me tips on where to eat and what area to go to. The bathrooms were clean, water pressure was amazing, and never had an issue with the hot water. Always had toilet paper, and you get your own locker depending on your bed. Bring your own lock and towel! Can purchase either at the hostel! And they’ll hold your stuff for you! 10/10 would 100% recommend!

Great location, comfy bed, powerful water pressure in showers, many showers and toilets per floor. Beautiful communal area. Breakfast option looked good although I had my own breakfast. Two improvements can be made: bed pod curtain to cut out other people’s lights, scrubbing the mould in the shower.

I accidentally found TOC hostel in downtown of Madrid. It was clean and super close to everything. They have branches in different cities of Spain. I definitely will come back. Thank you so much for your hard work.

Right in the middle of the most touristy area of Madrid so a bit loud but easily able to walk to so many famous places. Reception was great, they gave me a free towel which you usually pay to rent (since check in was overwhelmingly long on sunday). Great wi-fi signal. The showers don’t lock in the dorms and there’s not really a place to change except the tiny bathroom or awkwardly in the shower stall in a mixed room. Locks are not provided for lockers. There’s two coffee machines in the lounge. One where you can see a payment machine, the other has none but you still need to pay 2 euros (not sure who you would go to for that though. A staff member let me know but they are not always around.) It was my first time in a hotel but overall not a bad experience.

Big shoutout to the staff, friendly, attentive, resourceful and very helpful always eager to help us with our luggage up the stairs, breakfast was really good, good variety of options, and staff always kept it stocked. Todo estuvo biej salvo el ruido, se escucha absolutamente todo en el hostal, deberia haber mas información tanto al check in como en las habitaciones en relacion al ruido, ya que las personas no tienen ni la minima consideracion al respecto. Las camas deberian tener una cortina para tener un poco mas de privacidad y que no moleste las luz de la habitación.

This property is very centric, but Christmas is not a great time to visit Madrid. The whole area was flooded with tourists and people. It was very difficult to access the hotel or nearby commerce.

Location is excellent. The whole area is walkable and numerous restaurants around the hostel. Pizza right beside the hostel. There’s a kitchen on one floor and Cafè style dining room. Automated coffee machine. Overall a good value.

One thing I didn’t like, there is no air conditioning during all FALL/WINTER and they have it posted in the listing that they do have. Kind of a lie to customers. We were sweeting during 5 nights and if we opened the windows it was so noisy so thats not fair that we booked a hotel “with air” and they don’t have it. I asked for a partial refund or something and they denied. I suggest them to edit in the amenities and don’t offer air if you know you dont have!!! Be honest!

I took a train from Barcelona to Madrid just for the weekend. As a solo traveler this worked out just fine. I stayed in one of the dorm rooms with 3 other strangers. I was initially nervous about this sort of arrangement but I had no issues. The first night was all females and the second night I had one other female and two males. All were nice and respectable. This isn’t a common arrangement in the US but it was like the first couple of days in college dorms. The bar was also a nice place to hang out and relax in the evenings as well. It was a super crowded weekend in Madrid which gave me a little anxiety so the hotel bar was an alternative and the bartender was friendly as well.

This was our second TOC hostel this week. It was incredible. Huge, spacious room and separate large bathroom. Gorgeous facilities. Not like a hostel at all!

It was my first experience staying in a shared hostel room with six people. One of the people was snoring the entire time, so I couldn’t sleep. The bathrooms were also horrible and not clean. I tried to change my room, but the lobby staff said there were no other rooms available. After this experience, I will probably never stay in a hostel with four or six people again. I also got sick after leaving the hostel. As I mentioned, it was not well-maintained, and the bathrooms were in poor condition.

The location was good and it is right on the center. Room was for 4 people and it was tight. The bathroom was for handicap and the water was all over the floor. We have to put towels to hold off the water from coming out of the bathroom.

Pros: Friendly staff. Great location, especially for visiting Puerta Del Sol and the Royal Palace. There are plenty of places to eat, snack & shop, including a huge Corte Ingles right across the street. The hotel building itself is old and quite lovely. The breakfast buffet was nice. If you’re traveling alone, the common areas seem like a nice place to meet other travelers. They also have a laundry area that we didn’t use. Cons: Rooms are not soundproofed at all. We had a private room & we were still bothered by noise from the hallway and room next door, including a mother who was screaming at her young (also screaming) child at 11:00 at night. The temperature and pressure of the water in the shower varied from minute to minute. Summary: This hotel is probably best suited for younger travelers who want to stay out late and hang out with friends & meet new people.

The room size for four people is very small. Two of the beds were bunk beds with very very narrow and high ladder so it was very hard to get up and down the bunk beds. Otherwise it was nice and enjoyed the locality. Taxi stand is very close , many food choices. Perfect location.

Un hotel perfecto teniendo en cuenta precio contra valor. Su personal es muy servicial, es la 3era vez que regreso a este mismo hotel y siempre me voy con muy buena opinión. Hacen lo posible por acomodarte antes y ayudarte con los taxis. La habitación es limpia, bien oscura para dormir, el aire acondicionado es un plus, funciona perfecto. El desayuno es variado y de buena calidad, sencillo pero sabroso. Te hacen la habitación todos los días si lo deseas. totalmente recomendado

Centrally located in the heart of Madrid and close to the ‘Puerta del Sol’ subway station. A 10min radius to most bars, historic sites, and shopping. 4 person shared room was manageable with the already ambient noise from the streets as expected. Staff very attentive. The Bar & lounge areas were a big plus to relax. Also the world-class Breakfast; not to be missed. Back again soon.

I was absolutely impressed with TOC in Barcelona, so I booked TOC in Madrid. It’s not the same. The showers are clean but the shower gel bottles were always empty (I stayed 4 nights and I went to all cubicles, both men’s and ladies’ showers). The toilets were also always messy. The WIFI was basically not working, the staff said they have been working on it for some time. The kitchen and bar are standard. Locations and security are fanstastic, though.

The person at the customer service when we checked in. He checked us early probably knowing that we were very tired and sleepy after a long flight. Most of all he personally came to inform us in the lobby when the room was ready. He also helped us get a taxi. God bless him.

This is an excellent property and great value. The old rooms for the communal areas have the most beautiful ceilings. I had a double room that looked out onto a leafy street with a TV and ensuite . The building is very secure and there were quite a few solo female travelers staying there. Everything is very clean. The location is excellent for shopping and seeing the main historical sights.

The Hotel was Ok, but they could not help their guest. THere was a Heat Wave in madrid, so I ask to have the Airconditioning on. THey said that was not possible. I had to sleep with the windows open, with all the noise from the streets. So i didnt sleep well for the 3 nights there. I will never be back to these Hotel

Oi vey. This TOC property is in need of improvement. The staff can be inattentive and unresponsive until reminded they aren’t addressing your issue or concern. The room I was provided to help me with my disabilities required I climb a double staircase. The groups that stayed there felt like an invading army. To its credit they addressed my issue by putting me in a better room the first night but punishing me on the second night with stairs to climb. ☹️ Thr TOC properties in Granada and Malaga are superior to Madrid. Try them first.

The staff are super helpful and friendly, the rooms are good, but the doors are too noisy because of the finger opening and there are no soundproof in the room so you can hear everything from the streets and inside the hostel as well. The bathroom was not always clean

El hotel esta en una excelente localización tienes de todo a tu alrededor. Llegas facilísimo a todo lugar muy cerca a solo pasos de Plaza Mayor y el corte ingles. Lo unico que no me gusto fue que a pesar de estar limpio el baño apesta a cloaca un edor muy fuerte. Fuera de ahi esta en excelente lugar.

We liked the convenience and great location. On the other hand, the area is rather noisy during the weekend nights. The lights in the bathroom are equipped with movement sensors and it was a little annoying that the timer is set very short. The wifi was not reliable. Shower temperature was not constant. Staff was extremely nice and helpful.

Hostel was great quiet and easy to find. Loved the fingerprint access and staff were lovely. Only downside was the shower temp kept cycling through hot and cold at popular times (likely just given the amount of people using it). Defintiely worth noting the bathroom in the room has froster doors for the toilet and shower and don't lock. Completely fine but definitely preferred having a single gender room with the setuo
