The place is conveniently located across the street from the train station. With that in mind, you hear more of the traffic. The room is adequate. The AC didn’t work but having the window opened helped. Just be prepared for different standards than usual.

Great stay, hotel right next to Casa Voyageurs train station. Pleasant and helpful desk staff They arranged an in hotel PCR test, printed my result, and arrange a taxi for me. Spacious, comfy room (larger than the Ibis Casa Voyageur rooms, and a cheaper room rate) admittedly the bathtub was way to short for my 2m frame. I'd go back.

This is my second time staying at this hotel and both times were excellent. The staff is amazing! They were very helpful in directing me to how and where to find food in the area during Ramadan. They also were very helpful in giving very clear and excellent directions on how to get to different places in the city. Because of the COVID curfew at 8pm, the trains stopped running to the airport very early. The staff arranged for a taxi to take me to the airport (300 DH) for my midnight flight. The taxi arrived on time and was very professional. I cannot say enough about the great staff at Alwalid! I checked out of my room at noon, but I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel in a locked luggage room. I was able to have dinner at the hotel before leaving for the airport. It was very convenient. The restaurant offers breakfast for 65 DH. Even during Ramadan foreigners could get breakfast. Dinner is also served at the restaurant. The location is excellent--it is right across from the Voyageurs Train station. Exit at the Starbucks/McDonalds end of the train station. The tramway is right outside of the hotel. Taxi service is also easy to find and use.

This hotel is close to the train station, and that's it. The staff was courteous at most and seemed very annoyed when we asked for a city map. The air conditioner did not work so we had to open the windows so my friend got several mosquito bites. The bathroom was clean but the shower doors when closed left a gap so water went all over the floors and it took a few minutes (5-7) before we got hot water. Our room faced the front so it was incredibly noisy after 4 p.m. since everyone in Casablanca likes to honk. My least favourite accommodations during my Morocco trip.

The first two days we stayed here before our tour we had an average room but on the first floor at the front of the building it was very noisy with street noise all night. The second time we stayed here, after our tour, we were again offered the same room. We declined and requested another room. We were given a room on the 5th floor at the rear of the building. It was like night and day. A huge upgrade in room decor, bathroom and was extremely quiet. If given a choice, ask for the rear of the building on an upper floor. Very close to Casa Voyaguer and tram line.

Good enough if you need to take an early train to airport or other cities, literally a 5 minute walk from the station and you can see the sign on top of the hotel pretty much the minute you exit the train station at Casa Voyageurs. Air conditioning did not work well and at one point switched to blowing hot air. Bathroom smelled mildewy and towels are small. Could definitely hear other people in nearby rooms especially early in the morning.

It was exactly what was expected. Clean, no frills. Directly across the park from the train to Fes. The city center does not have a lot to offer, so anything more than a night’s stay for the convenience of the train, and you will want to stay near Casa Port. But this hotel is a great option for city center.

Staff is wonderful, location is convenient. Room... bed had virtually no linens - only a flat sheet tucked in on 1 side only. No duvet cover or top sheet at all. AC did not function. We had someone up twice to look at it and they brought a remote control up & it worked, but each time we left & the electric went off the AC never came back on. The front desk would not lend us that remote control & I want to shower, etc & not wait for the guy again so I’m sweating in the room. Bathroom... shower drain does not, shower rod & hand wand fall completely apart and do not support themselves on the wall. We stayed 2 nights & water and toilet paper not replaced. Had to get t.p. but gave up on everything else. Food in restaurant awful, breakfast spotty at best. Staff was nicest they could be.

We arrived at midnight on the train from Fes. The hotel is directly across the park/ tramway from the Casa Voyagers station. I was pleased that check in was quick and simple - we just mentioned the name that it was under and things were handled quickly. We were given a room with a King Size bed. When we walked in I will say the furniture was weirdly placed with the mini fridge console blocking the pathway to the bed and main sleeping area making it difficult to get our luggage, stroller etc into the room. The room was extremely clean - I always check under the bed and behind the toilet to see just how clean a place is in addition to checking for bed bugs. Hot water was slow to get to our room on the 6th floor. A/C was strong and stayed on to keep our room cool all day and night - with thermostat access in the room! The location is excellent with easy access to the tramway - which enables you to quickly explore Casablanca without having to haggle with petit taxi drivers. We also ate iftar at the hotel - which was an additional 300dh. It was nice food but overpriced- given local shops are cheaper. The noise level in the room was low - it was not completely silent. We heard low TV noise from other rooms and street noise from traffic etc. Nothing that kept us awake - however, if you are a light sleeper - use a sound machine app or bring earplugs.

When we arrived reception could not find our reservation for over half an hour, leaving us thinking we had nowhere to stay, even though we had already paid. No apology was offered- a cup of tea whilst we waited would have been nice. The first night we had no water in the bathroom, asked reception who sent a man to our room. He checked all the taps and said there was nothing he could do. We went out without a shower. Breakfast was very good some days, but if you arrived after a big party there was nothing left. Staff were unable to bring out fresh supplies, despite repeated requests. There is no excuse for this- they knew how many people were booked for breakfast and should have made appropriate arrangements. Then there was the hairdryer- my wife asked reception for one and was told someone else had it. This happened several times….they only have one! On the brighter side, the hotel is very convenient for the station and trams take you into town. Breakfast is good when you can get it and the rooms are comfortable. Room was quiet and aircon worked. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in on our tour of Morocco and it was the one with the poorest service and the least good food. If I were you I'd try somewhere else!

The room looked and felt a bit creepy. Poor lighting, smelly and the carpet old and dirty. The hotel walls are unkept and the room/hotel just didn’t have a welcoming feel. The Worst part is that I found a medium size roach near one of my bags and that was just disgusting. Luckily I only stayed there a night but would not recommend or stay there again. The staff we’re helpful especially when I told them that the heater in the room wasn’t working and they sent someone quickly to fix it.

This hotel was right across the street from the Casa Voyageurs train station, which made it super convenient to get to. Check-in was simple and easy; front desk staff spoke good English. Room was clean and had all the amenities I needed: TV, A/C (functional and kept room at perfect temperature), bathroom with full shower/tub, sink, toilet, and bidet. A hair dryer was brought to my room upon my request. I stayed 2 nights... key card to enter room stopped working on the second day, but a quick trip to reception fixed that. Hotel is not centrally located in Casablanca, but it was a short cab ride away from all the tourist sites. Cab drivers were not always familiar with the hotel name with regards to a return journey, but I simply mentioned "across from Casa Voyageurs" and then they immediately knew. Reception arranged a taxi for me to go to the airport really early (5am) for my departure. I'd say it is a good value for the price... decent 2-3 star hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights under the heat of August. The AC in our room failed twice within 2 hours, we woke up at 12:30AM sweating and asked hotel to switch us to another room only to find the same issue repeating again. The AC would work for a few hours at times and then either shuts down or instead start blowing hot air. It is controlled by a thermal stat on the wall but we find it doesn't really control its behavior, there is no remote available to the tenants but the staff has one that seems to fix things better except they won't give it to you. The night shift manager who dealt with our AC issue was particularly rude, he hanged up on my call the first time before I even finished my sentence. I called right back only to hear him asking me "what do you want??"... Other than him I have no issues with all the others who have served us during our stay. The staff who helped us moving between our rooms during the first night was very professional though he speaks little English. Other thoughts: - Good location, right across the train station. - Reasonably quiet. - Clean bathroom but very old and dirty carpet. - The included breakfast was not bad. Very few selections on meat but for a inclusive breakfast I won't complain. Overall I would recommend the hotel only if you don't need a reliable AC.

We stayed here for our one night stay in Casablanca. Took the train from the airport and walked to the hotel. Then we walked back in the morning to catch the train to Marrakech. Location is great for getting in or out of Casablanca but I wouldn't recommend it for longer stays. We also had problems with the air conditioning in the room. It eventually got fixed but took over an hour. Hotel staff was nice enough. We had prepaid for our breakfast but the hotel didn't have note of this so make sure you have printed confirmation if you do the same.

I spent a night at Alwalid,it is a reasonable hotel if you are travelling through Casablanca and don't plan on staying for an extended period (2-3 nights max). Room are very comfortable, although the first room assigned to me was terrible (avoid room 108), it was next to the smoking section and extremely noisy. I ended up moving to the 6th floor which was great. Not sure about the a/c so if you visiting in the heat of the summer you may want to double check that it works. Otherwise, staff are lovely and the location across the street from Gare Casa Voyueguer makes this place ideal especially if you are travelling in/our of Casablanca by train.
