Authentic experience in the middle of the quiet street in central part of old town. The Riad was beautiful and the staff members were kind and welcoming. The food prepared at the restaurant for dinner was very delicious as well.

Cons: One of the receptionist behaved inappropriately, was lightly flirting with my partner and asked her personal information while they were alone, she felt unsafe and left. My partner didn't want to spoil our trip and told me this only after we left the country. I find this unprofessional.

Abdul was very friendly and helpful. The architecture, decor and ambience were charming and magical. The room was quiet, comfortable and full of Moroccan charm. The bed was large and very comfy. The staff are all exceptional, kind, friendly, helpful. Great location too. The tea and cookies when we arrived was a gracious and thoughtful gesture of hospitality.

Es la segunda vez que nos alojamos en el Riad. Es un riad pequeñito, de 6 habitaciones. Estábamos solos! Nos encantó poder usar la piscina para refrescarnos a cualquier hora del día, incluso de noche. El patio interior que tiene, es súper acogedor. El personal una pasada de amable, siempre ofreciéndonos agua fria y té con pastitas. Los desayunos increibles de buenos, y nunca la misma cosa (opción de té y café). Nos repitieron la frase de "como en casa" y así fué. Las habitaciones tranquilas, como el riad está en un callejón no se escuchaba ni un ruido. Camas cómodas y habitaciones cálidas. Muy fácil acceder: Parking College Mohamed V y desde ahí caminando son 3 calles. A 15min a pié de la gran plaza Jemma El Fna, a 3min de una de las entradas del Souk, si contratas excursiones externas al hotel casi todas salen del College...

Everything was super good at the riad.

Cons: Except the communication from the manager. Was not handled very well. He handed me a build of city tax, but in the most stressful moment on the way to miss my flight. He ensaulted me and accused me. I would have lovede to book this in the future since I go to marrakesh 2 a year with 2 big groups. But because He was super rude, I am not gonna book with riad Belle again. Unfortunately.

Very friendly and helpful staff for majority of our stay. Make sure you prepay for the rooms as if you choose pay on site you might end up victim to the cash machine not working and having to pay it all in cash. Keep your receipt as proof of pay. We lost over an hour with these logistics having to wait around to have the payment sorted.

We stayed here for 4 nights, the staff were ultra friendly and the accomadation was presented exceptionally in an authentic Moroccan style. Located in the Medina, it was great being part of the local friendly community. The area is very safe day and night and has lots of great restaurant options. The souk is close by which provides an interesting walk to the main square.

Whilst Khadija, Zoubida and Fatima made amazing different local breakfast every morning. Super location and very traditional. Would recommend for sure. Thanks for a great stay.

We loved our stay at Belle Epoque. The staff were amazing - so helpful and kind. We added on a couple of days to our stay and they made such an effort to accommodate us. We had the Coco Chanel room which is so beautifully decorated. Loved all the art deco pieces and the photo's. Breakfast was good with different local dishes as well as continental. Easy to access all the sights of Marrakech with taxis available seconds away and so close to the souks! Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The plunge pool was great after a day in the heat. Very cooling.

The entire staff was amazing and went above and beyond the call of duty in every single aspect of their hospitality. Abdelhak, Nourdidne & Youssef (front desk), Fatima (kitchen), and Khadija & Zoubida (Housekeeping) were amazing, superb and exceptional. A beautiful Riad, on the outer edge of the Medina, 20mins or so to the main square. Beautiful room, well maintained and an incredibly friendly and kind staff. I would highly recommend you stay here when in Marrakech!

Breakfast was very different from usual buffet tabes in big hotels- it was a nice experience like having breakfast at a good friend’s place ! It was awfully sweet for our European taste but hearty, different and served with great care and attention! The service in general was really great - guys at the front desk made us feel safe and well taken care of . As for the cleaning ladies - they were extremely caring and personal in their attitude with touching demonstration of attention to details . Fancy folding of towels may not be so unique but nicely folding up your laundry or bringing a dish with cutlery when they saw fruit in our room was really touching . And the personnel was literally invisible! Saying good buy to the hotel was heartbreaking.

Cons: It was different and atmospheric but somebody may miss a TV, the third towel or heated floors in the bathroom.

great location and very comfortable and easy to feel at home with the beautiful and traditional look and feel. all the staff made us feel very welcome and were always happy to help or answer any questions. the food was delicious and and bought/made to order, so it was always freshly prepared. overall we are very happy with our stay and would recommend!

Cons: due to the nature of the building, the rooms are not well insulated from outside noise, so be sure to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, in case you have noisy neighbours! be sure to let them know often if you have any allergies and give them written notice so that they can prepare food accordingly

Location excellent for staying just outside the souks area or easily being able to enter them. The staff was friendly, helpful, multilingual.. and on top of things 24/7. We felt like family..the roof top garden was great for relaxing in after walking miles each day…

Cons: I loved the coffee at breakfast (Nos nos) and the traditional “on the sweet side” breakfasts typical of the culture, but would have also liked some salty options (eggs..)

I don't understand how this riad gets such a high rating. Please don't get trap by the online pictures. They are embellished. The place is super small, like a cave, dark and soffocating. The person in charge was very rude to us. Please don't believe their lies in their website that if you stay 3 nights or more the transfer from the airport is included. At the end, they will charge you for it. Breakfast is not worth it either. The swimming pool is tiny and dirty. The only area that was ok was the terrace. The room we stayed in was drepessing, poorly designed and you just want to get out of it. We will NEVER recommend this riad. It is a 2 star hotel. Not fabulous at all. Please do yourself a favor and don't stay there. I wish someone would have done it an honest review when we were looking for a place to stay.

The property is in a very convenient location. Not directly in the middle of Medina so not as much traffic, noise, or expense. However, it’s perfectly located by a large parking and roundabout area where it’s easy to access any part of the city. The best part was the facility and the staff. I would highly recommend staying here over any commercial hotel. The thought and effort to make this Riad so beautiful and authentic, but still with all the necessary amenities (AC, room turndown, pool, etc) were outstanding. You will know all the staff by name and they will make you feel like you have your own private bed and breakfast. They are all genuinely caring and thoughtful. I would also recommend having dinner at the Riad one night. It will be cheaper than any dinner at a restaurant and it will be several courses privately made for you. If you are coming in the summer, ask them to turn on the AC in your room a few hours before you arrive.

Amazing experience, the peace and tranquility of the riad in comparison to the hustle and bustle of the city. Our Coco Chanel room was lovely, if you want to experience a more cultural stay in Marrakech this is for you. If you want more a pool/hotel vibe this is definitely not for you! The main medina is a 20 min walk, or you can enter the souks in under 5 minutes from the riad. Abdul-haat (I apologise for the spelling) was one of our excellent host/concierges I have to mention. All the staff were warm and provided exceptional help in arranging our trips etc.

The Riad is beautiful and the staff is very attentive. Albukhar is a super star and so friendly. the breakfast was delicious. The rooftop is charming and provides space for tanning and relaxing. During our time we were the only ones staying at the Riad and sometimes felt a bit observed. Local area is a bit dodgy but its fine as you are in the medina very quickly.

War nur eine Nacht im Hotel. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sauber und die Einrichtung war typisch arabisch. Hat mir sehr gefallen. Das Hotel liegt in der Medina nahe dem Zentrum. Die Orientierung um zum Hotel zurückzufinden ist anfangs etwas schwierig.

My best friend and I stayed at La Belle Epoque for three nights on our first trip to Morocco: it's a beautiful riad that provides a great oasis of calm in a frenetic city. It's excellently located - in walking distance of all the main sites, including the Marjorelle Gardens, the souks and the Saadien tombs, but off the beaten track enough to be a calm and peaceful retreat. The staff are wonderful (particularly Mouhammed and Nordime), and nothing is too much trouble: we were given lots of information about what to see and how to get to places, as well as recommendations for restaurants, organising our transfers and giving us advice on how best to haggle for goods in the souks. Our room (Josephine Baker) was clean and comfortable and quiet - as well as being very stylish. The ornate Moroccon decor of the bathroom was of particular note! The free wifi was appreciated, particularly for downloading Google maps of the medina. The roof terrace is a wonderful place to have breakfast in the morning sunshine, or enjoy some mint tea in the afternoon - especially the lovely shady daybed, where we spent a lot of time reading and napping.

Oh dear.Positives first:the staff at this hotel are lovely,helpful, charming,and attentive. The hotel itself is in the old town which means you need to accept its in one of those typical old town alleyways which can feel quite off the beaten track if you are not expecting it.Once inside its a little haven and a cute place.Our problem came on check out where we were asked to pay our bill in euros, rather than on credit card.As we had booked some trips through the hotel our bill was over 200 euros which we were intending to put on our card. When we checked in we were planning to book the trips at the nearby travel agency (which takes credit cards)but the reception said they would handle the booking)Trips were fine but not when you find out on check out on your last day that you then have to wander the streets of the city looking for a cash machine that will give you cash to pay for trips which you could have put on your card if you had bought them anywhere else in the city. They wouldnt budge on this-the management really ruined our last day and we left Marrakech vowing never to return.The reception did point out that extras were payable in cash which we understood to mean drinks etc(all fine with us)but not 200 euros worth of trips.So for this reason we have given such low marks as our overall experience of the hotel,city and country was ruined by this inflexibility.

Everything about the Riad was perfect - staff were very helpful and friendly. The level of service was far superior to what we are used to receiving in the UK! The Riad were happy to arrange excursions for us too. The room was in excellent condition and we had wifi and air conditioning. The Riad's roof terrace was clean and quiet. Location is pretty good too - 5 minutes walk to the nearest taxi's and 15 minutes walk to the main square. Breakfast (included in the room rate) was also excellent. Lots of variety (toast, yogurt, croissant, eggs etc). We only had dinner once, but this was excellent too. Overall, we would thoroughly recommend this Riad to others. One tip - make sure you contact the Riad beforehand to arrange Airport transfers as it will make life much easier!
