The gardens were magnificent. The main pool area was lovely. We didn’t eat at the restaurant however we did get some salads to take home, which were very tasty We enjoyed our stay very much. They were very lenient with the check in time which was much appreciated as we brought food with us. We stayed at a deluxe Villa which was beautifully decorated, and the kitchen was well equipped. It was very clean, comfortable, and very spacious. The only area which I felt needed improvement was that there was no circulation in our private pool. The filters did not seem to be working, but we enjoyed the main pool very much. Thank you to all the staff at Dar Lamia for a wonderful family vacation. We would definitely recommend your wonderful property. what’s happening?

This was a really nice stay, we did have some issues in the starting but I spoke with Celine and she helped a lot she made our experience better and helped resolve the issues. I would love to come back and stay here because this place is beautiful the only downfall is that it is far so you have to get taxi to get places nothing is in walking distance. There’s also a ton of cats we loved them but if you are allergic this is not the right place. I wish we stayed longer because it felt like home and everyone was so friendly

We have been coming to Marrakech for 22 years and this place, by far is the best we have stayed at. Everything is clean and works. The staff are great. The place is super chill. No reps. No tours. No kids clubs or evening entertainment. Just relax and do your own thing. Sophia, who looks after the breakfast and lunch sittings, was a brilliant ambassador and whatever they pay her, it needs to be more. The grounds and planting is stunning and extremely well cared for. The only criticism is the internet. You need to get that sorted as it's pants and being a good 20-30 mins from the city centre, some form of arranged transport to and from the airport/Marrakech and back Would I recommend? Yes. Will we be coming back? Yes.

Beautiful villa. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city which meant it was quiet however you need to hire a driver to get anywhere. Accommodation was very spacious with a 3 separate bedrooms each with its own bathroom. Great for couples or older families however the bedrooms were separated by the pool in the middle so not great for small kids in terms of safety. Hotel staff were great and organised most of our needs including drivers to the markets, cooking classes, camel rides, etc... Check in was late and done in the restaurant with a welcome mint tea and snacks. Staff were friendly and took our bags to the property. lots of cats around which the kids loved! They had a pool and spa but we didnt use them during our stay. Villa had a kitchen with oven, stove, washing machine, fridge, etc... which was very convenient. Alcohol was very expensive in Marrakech so buy from duty free before departure. Also airport has security checks even before you enter the building so allow plenty of time to check in as there were long queues.

Très bon séjour au Dar Lamia. La résidence est éloignée de Marrakech et très calme. Ils ont un service de navettes qui vous emmènent où vous souhaitez avec de très bons chauffeurs très sympathiques (Youcef et Hisham 👌) Les employés sont tous extrêmement gentils et à l'écoute. Mention spéciale pour Samia au restaurant qui a été gentille et attentionnée avec notre famille. Les maisons sont confortables et très grandes, la piscine est agréable mais en décembre pas assez chauffée même si nous ne sommes pas frileux. Les dirigeants sont sympathiques et attentionnés.Nous avons passé une semaine superbe et je recommande vivement cet hôtel.

I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for families with kids or couples seeking a quiet getaway. It is located on the outskirts of Marrakech, providing a peaceful atmosphere without the noise of honking. The hotel is well-designed, giving a traditional morrocon feel, and the rooms are beautifully decorated. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, it would be beneficial to learn a few phrases in French, as only a few staff members speak English. The spa is also good. Few things were not working, but manager and the staff make sure to get it sorted out in timely manner. Few things if the hotel improve on will make them more appealing and get more than 5 starts are, (1) The Pool in the Villa and the communal Swimming Pool(smaller one) should be heated. One of the reason why we book this villa was we had our own pool but as it was not heated we couldn't use it and same goes for common swimming pool. Kids were bit disappointed. (2) There should be a convenience shop which can sell items like grocery, milk, water, etc. There is no shop around the hotel either. So we need anything we have to book taxi to take us to the nearest shop. (3) More options of food in the Restaurant. This is needed as the hotel is in the outskirt of marrakech most the restuarant not ready to come to deliver food and if they do they charge lot of money. Above 3 points mentioned are for improvement and they were not a show stopper for us. We enjoyed a lot in the place.

Stayed in a 4 bedroom deluxe villa! Beautiful property, with incredibly maintained landscape. Beautiful rooms with comfortable beds and plenty of space; good kitchen, well appointed with kitchen and dining ware; couldn’t use the in-villa pool because it was cold outside: Food and Service at the restaurant was outstanding. Big shoutout to Mustapha! We had an issue with getting locked out of one of the rooms, but the management took care of us and made sure we were comfortable!

After a rocky start hence the 4 out of 5 stars we had a wonderful stay. The staff here are amazing. Friendly, helpful and go above and beyond particularly Sofia. We had some issues trying to check in but as soon as brought to her attention she sorted everything out for us. The pool area is lovely, relaxing albeit the main area of pool is very cold. The apartment was spacious and well equipped. The driver contacted by the hotel was fantastic and took a lot of worry out of travelling back and forth from the centre.

The hotel is in an isolated location with nothing nearby. You will need a taxi or a hire car to access Marrakech at around 30 euros return each time. There are very limited dining options and what there is just ok costing more than it should IMHO. There isn't room service either. The pool is beautiful but most of it is ice cold. The rooms are nice, large and clean. There is good Wi-Fi all around the property. The staff are helpful and friendly, notably Sophia and Mustafa. Celine the Director is super charming. Overall, this is an ideal property for older travellers looking for a quiet relaxed property to spend some time. This wouldn't be ideal for younger visitors or first time visitors to Marrakech, as there are many better hotels in town.

Nous avons eu un chauffeur avec l’hôtel pour pouvoir faire tout nos déplacement à 150Dh le trajet ce qui est très correct. La piscine est cool, l’endroit est très calme donc nous n’avons pas été dérangé par du bruit de circulation ou autre. Rien à redire je vous le recommande !

Superbe séjour en famille dans la résidence Dar Lamia. On s’est senti comme à la maison avec un super service. Céline la gérante et son mari étaient au petit soin pour nous ,ils nous ont proposé des activités hors des sentiers battus et répondaient à nos demandes au delà de nos attentes. Sofia et Saad au bar restaurant aussi se sont très bien occupés de nous , très aimables et souriants. Faisal notre chauffeur était super aussi. Mais tout le personnel en général était au top. Je recommande sincèrement cet établissement et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir . Merci pour tout

Une escapade magique dans ce lieu calme, magnifique et accueillant. Un personnel aux petits soins, avec une mention spéciale pour le directeur Hugo, l’un des collaborateurs du restaurant Mustapha et le service chauffeur. Literie super confortable, grande piscine, restaurant avec un mélange judicieux de plats typiques marocains et de mets plus occidentaux. On a soufflé, on s’est reposé, on a profité. While we were there, Hugo and Celine were incredibly welcoming and helped us with anything we needed. The entire staff at Dar Lamia made us feel at ease. Dar Lamia is just perfect. Close enough to the lively city centre (15 min drive) but also far enough to escape the hectic. The staff is just wonderful, helping in any way they can. The villas are beautiful and have all the necessary aminities (and then some). And if you get the chance, share a drink with the owners, Céline and her husband. In short, a dream holiday!

L'hôtel est toujours aussi beau (c'est notre deuxième séjour à Dar Lamia), on s'y sent comme à la maison. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et très varié. (Le jus d'orange est particulièrement bon). Le restaurant ouvert midi et soir est également très abordable et la cuisine est bonne. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très propres. En claire, nous recommandons, Darenne & Jérémy

Whether your looking for a place to calmly relax yourself , have some fun , or even just change the scenery Dar Lamia is a great place for them all. Our or our children’s safety was never an issue. There’s no need to worry if your children will even have the thought of getting bored. We appreciated the private pool for some privacy . The Spa is one of the best we visited . The whole family liked the restaurant . I greatly recommend this resort for anyone wanting to visit this amazing city in this beautiful country . We enjoyed our stay and hope you do too , it’s a special place we would like to share!

This property is amazing! Away from the hustle and bustle of Medina but close enough to get there. The villas are gorgeous, comfortable and immaculate. The pools and landscaping are incredible. Had a slight issue with the check in process but the staff went over and beyond to rectify the situation with incredible service. All in all, I will be back

The peace and tranquillity was amazing and just what we wanted. It’s about 15-20 mins by taxi to the centre, but when you return to the calm, relaxing villa and the only sound you can hear is the birds singing, it’s well worth staying here if you want to chill but have the option to explore the hustle and bustle that Marrakech is famous for

Absoloutely amazing property, like living in a palace! the decor and finish is fantastic and the size of the rooms HUGE! Hard to clean spaces of this size I imagine , so a few dead roaches etc, but the staff were lovely. Wifi was awful, but again staff really gave it their all. Would be great to have private pools heated and a couple of UK televisions or Wifi boosters to enable us to compensate, but these were small things. The interiors were brilliant, the gardens immaculate. The value incredible. Visit!

Dar Lamia is a peaceful and stunning place. This was not my first time but this time we stayed at a villa for 6 people with a private pool to celebrate the New Year’s Eve. The villa is tastefully decorated and clean. The rooms are heated and comfortable.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Residence Dar Lamia. The staff in the hotel, spa, and bar were just phenomenal. We never felt like we were an inconvenience. The pool seemed lovely, and the surrounding area was landscaped beautifully. It’s a bit out of the way, but that might be a good thing depending on what you’re looking for.

Overall this was a great Résidence to be away from the Médina madness and with an excellent relaxation options.

This time we were priviledged to be upgraded from one of their beautiful boutique hotel rooms to an incredible villa with a private courtyard pool. I would strongly recommend these villas for family holidays, or the boutique hotel rooms for couples.

Our stay at Dar Lamia was amazing from the moment we walked into the reception to check in. The owner, Celine, and her staff were some of the most helpful and courteous people we've ever met. From the moment we were greeted upon our arrival, to the minute we were stopped by Celine in the parking lot to wish us farewell on the rest of our trip, we felt completely comfortable and relaxed the whole time. There was convenient and safe parking inside the gated premises, the pool is picture perfect, and the complimentary breakfast was way more than we could have asked. The room was beautiful, clean, spacious and we were even welcomed with Moroccan tea. The restaurant/ bar is extremely convenient and open from morning until late and night. The owner, Celine, was more than happy to take her time to help us with anything we wanted to do in Marrakech. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

We had such an amazing time at Residence Dar Lamia, Perfect home away from home. We stayed in a self-catered apartment and had everything we needed. The rooms were clean, hot running water, clean toilet and clean shower room spotless! which is a big deal for me. We stayed four nights and our breakfast was included in the package. Moving around Marrakech was a breeze the proprietress of Dar Lamia sorted out our transportation which was a private chauffeur, that we paid for after every journey. I love Marrakech, I will definitely be going back and I will definitely recommend staying at Dar Lamia to my friends and family.

villas are about 20 mins taxi ride from hotel,,, the cleanliness can be improved old bed sheets old towels i would rate it no more than 3 star, the communal pool is dirty.... bathrooms not great,,,receptionist at the villa was very helpful and accommodating.

Let me start by saying that the service was top notch all around. The staff made us feel incredibly welcome, and while we had some setbacks during our stay, they handled everything promptly. I really want to give them 5 stars all around, but since there were some issues, I can only give 4. Our Wifi really didn't work in our room most of the time. They were set to rewire the unit, but that didn't happen while we were there. A light bulb blew up when my daughter turned it on. Glass went everywhere. One of the bedrooms did not have working air (it was actually just the battery in the remote, which they took care of very quickly). That may sound like a lot, but I cannot stress how great the staff was. The place is best suited for those that will be in the area for more than a couple of days, which wasn't the case for us. It is a 20 minute drive to most things in the city, but even with our stay (which was too short), I really loved the relaxing atmosphere of the property. It is a great value, and would recommend it to others.

This was an amazing hotel, its gorgeous, service is A+, everythng was good! its a little out of the city (10 minutes away) so its a bit more expensive to go to city center (about 200dh) but taking a cab to there from city center I was able to get as low as 60dh... just negotiate but overall amazing hotel

My friend and I have just returned from our second visit to the marvelous oasis that is Residence dar Lamia…and we are planning to go back again next year. It is a wonderfully relaxing place with the most helpful, professional and charming staff, beautiful accommodation and grounds and yet just a short distance away from the hustle and bustle of old Marrakech and it’s amazing souk. We are almost unwilling to share this treasure of a place with the rest of the world but the proprietors deserve every praise for their outstanding efforts to provide a truly marvellous holiday venue.

We stayed here for 1 night and it is one of the most stunning hotels that I've been to. The grounds are massive and beautifully manicured. Our room was really nicely decorated and the ceiling gave the effect of sleeping under the stars. We arrived really late and were leaving early morning - but the night manager was great and organized an early breakfast especially for us. The only downside was that Expedia said the hotel was close to the airport, which was why I booked it however it was outside of Marrakech. Cab ride is 200 dirham so it's better to ask the hotel to send a car for the same cost.

Wow, we have just returned from an amazing gilrle 40th birthday celebration and this was the perfect venue for us. We had our own amazing maid Nema, driver Abdul and were treated like princesses in our beautiful palace. We were so pleased to be just outside the city in a tranquil, calm and sureal environment. So peaceful and quiet you could just hear the birds and prayer call The restaurant recommendations from the hotel was absolutely fabulous and made our visit. Celine and the reception staff are so welcoming and helpful but the accommodation was to die for and we will all be coming back again. Thanks so much

We had a lovely time at Residence Dar Lamia and stayed in a beautiful room. Some criticism I have about the hotel include: staff (including drivers) spoke very limited English which made communication difficult, the towels and robes were not soft - they were very rough - a little fabric softener would have been nice, wifi was terrible in the bedroom and one of the staff serving breakfast daily was not very friendly/warm although all other staff were very lovely. Celine was absolutely lovely and extremely accommodating. The pool was just gorgeous however was way too cold for us to go for a swim which was a shame but it was winter after all. The tour coordinator was very helpful and was great in assisting us with our tour bookings and providing suggestions for places to visit.

This hotel is perfect for tanning, resting and relaxing. It is is very spacious, green and very calm. The service is correct, the rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated (each room has a different decoration). The breakfast is generous and tasty. I highly recommend this place.

We booked a room for one night to get out of the Medina during our weeklong stay in Marrakech. The hotel/resort is located about 20 minutes by car from central Marrakech. Transport should cost around 150 Dirhams (14 euro), which we received help with from the staff. Upon arrival we were upgraded from a room to a villa. The villa was of the smallest kind, but still had a private pool, two toilets, a bedroom, a bathroom, a patio, a balcony, a kitchen and a decently sized living room. The villa was very clean and nicely decorated. The main pool area was nice and relaxing, surrounded by a fairly green and lush area. The restaurant was booked for an anniversary that night, but the staff was very friendly in arranging room service for us. Overall, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. All in all, a great experience.

We wanted to relax for the week, we were not disappointing. The location outside of Marrakesh was idyllic and we had the pool to ourselves for most of the day. The food was excellent and the owners and staff could not have made us more welcome. Already booked for next year.

We turned up after there had been a storm so when we went to our appartment the Sky TV wasn't working. They tried to fix it straight away but said it may take a day or 2. We didn't mind but they later said they would upgrade is to a 3 bedroom villa and had an army of staff to help is move. Wonderful place and wonderful people

Enormous and beautiful 3 bed and 3 bathroom villa with private pool courtyard and roof terrace at a bargain price. Daily maid service with cleaning and laundry included. Food and wine were reasonably priced and staff all friendly but restaurant has no ambience so best to eat in your own dining room in the villa. Air con also struggled to cope with 39 degrees daytime heat. A bit out of town but minibus can be hired for 200-300 dirhams per round trip which takes 20 mins each way to main square. Main pool area also lacking in ambience but gardens are huge and well maintained. A great place to relax & fantastic accommodation for the price but don't go in high summer!

On arrival (3 hours before check in) we were greeted warmly and taken straight to our room where tea and juice was served on the patio. Staff were friendly and whilst the restaurant closed at 9pm after a day in the Medina this was late enough as we were exhausted. On our last day we had to leave at 7am and breakfast didn't start until 8.30. As we left the restaurant at 9pm on our last evening the waiter came after us with juice and pastries for us to store in our room fridge for breakfast the next day. Thanks Celine for arranging this.

We (2 adults & a 12 year old) stayed at Residence Dar Lamia over the 2014/15 New Year. We found the owners, Celine & Hugo both charming & very helpful - they did everything to make our stay memorable. n The NYE party was one to remember. The hotel itself is out of town & all the better for it - Marrakech itself is only a 10 minute cab ride away.

We have just spent four nights at Residence Dar Lamia. We arrived at about 8.30pm and were greeted by a member of the restaurant's staff who let us into our room. Transport from the airport was arranged by Residence Dar Lamia who work with a number of trusted taxi providers. On the following morning we did manage to check in at reception. A couple of hours later we went to reception to ask a few questions and were rather rudely informed that this is not a hotel and we are not to bother reception. All assistance will be provided by the waiters. However, on the signage outside the hotel and on Expedia they advertise it as a resort AND boutique hotel. The restaurant staff are very friendly and willing to help, one waiter's English was quite limited but he did try to help us as much as possible. Remember - French and Arabic are the country's main langauges so learning some basics can really help! Our room was lovely with a small terrace. The pool and grounds are all very well kept and beautiful, the hotel is also very reasonably priced. However if you are after a pampered hotel experience there are a number of things to be aware of: - The restaurant closes very early and there is nowhere else to get a drink / coffee - There is no coffee in the rooms - there is a coffee machine? I did ask how to get coffee but never received it. - The wifi cut out quite a lot - There is just one waiter on at a time and he will serve you everything from food, to booking taxis etc. On

Delightful villas with huge rooms and extremely comfortable beds. Staff and management always at hand to help. Cannot fault the accommodation but highly recommend if you want to get away from the busy central side. Fairly isolated but only 10 minutes away Into town by car.

After staying in the medina for two weeks, having three nights here at Dar Lamia was amazingly luxurious and relaxing. It's so peaceful with beautiful grounds and a lovely pool which we usually had to ourself! The staff were lovely and friendly, especially in the restaurant where we had breakfast. lunch and dinner everyday. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. I also made use of the spa by getting a pedicure which was very relaxing and well done :) . The room was also beautiful, with a great bathroom and even little stars in the ceiling! I would definitely return, and recommend it to anyone!

The hotel is just so amazing to actually spend quality peaceful time by the pool or within your villa if you opt for swimming pool. The grounds, the layout and the room were clean with absolutely stunning anterior design. I definitely recommend families, couples and singles to experience staying at this stunning hotel. The rooms are very clean with lovely peaceful views of beautiful colourful flowers. I stayed there for three nights and really enjoyed my time. The staff are ever so kind and helpful including the restaurant staff that are ever ready to help you in any way and so kind.

An oasis of calm situated 15 mins from the hustle & bustle of Marrakesh. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel part of the "dar Lamia" family. The owners Celine and Hugo were the perfect hosts always on hand to give recommendations, hints & tips for places to eat or visit and no request was too much trouble for them. They really were very nice people to meet, as were the staff especially Abdul and Mostafa who were brilliant in the restaurant and bar. Our room was very smart and clean and had everything you needed. The pool was amazing as were the grounds with beautiful flowers and gardens. We often ate in the restaurant and all the meals were lovely, as were the breakfasts; which were plentiful. A stay in the city center would have been exhausting without knowing you were returning to the calm of Dar Lamia. It is a 15 min taxi ride to the city (costs 200 Dhms return) Hugo or Celine were happy to book taxis/tours/airport transfers and always used a very reliable taxi company. We hope to return as this was a great place to stay.
