Skal du ha et sentralt sted og oppleve genuint Marokkansk kultur er dette stedet. Alt er i nærheten og du får kjenne på markedet og gamleby livet. Ismail og resten av de ansatt i hotellet var helt fantastiske og utrolig behjelpelige. Fra frokost, til beliggenhet, til trivsel, komfort, internett hyggelighet og mottaket. Skal du til Marrakech for første gang, er dette absolutt stedet å velge. Kanskje ikke så praktisk for små barn, men for par etter utsøkt sted

Tutto. Il nostro soggiorno al Riad Dar Alhambra ha superato di gran lunga le nostre aspettative. La struttura è molto curata, pulita e silenziosa, sembra quasi di entrare in un mondo parallelo rispetto al caos e ai rumori della Medina, inoltre la posizione è ottima. Ismail ci ha accolte con tè alla menta e dolcetti tipici, e con la sua gentilezza e professionalità ha provveduto a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta, rendendo il soggiorno davvero unico. Sia l’abbondante colazione che la cena sono strepitose, con cibo tipico marocchino veramente delizioso, e vengono servite nella splendida terrazza in cima all’edificio. Le camere sono arredate con cura e dotate di tutti i comfort desiderati. Consiglio vivamente di soggiornare in questo fantastico Riad!

Cons: The manager, Ismael, 1. on the first day I woke up for breakfast during breakfast hours he told me I could go back to sleep because breakfast is still ongoing for 1 hour (?) 2. He wouldnt let my Moccoro friend I haven't seen for 6 years to rent a room even though there were plenty available (said it was booked but no one was there) 3. When I wanted to invite my friend over to chat on the rooftop he called the police. The police were confused and they saw absoluement no problems with the request, yet Ismael refused. I beleive if you stay at this place Ismael expects a large tip otherwise will do everything to make your life miserable. I left Morroco the next day. There are some folks that should work in hotels/restaurants unfortunately, Ismael is one of them.

We were here for 3 nights and the Riad lived up to all its great reviews. The breakfast each morning was superb and set us up for the day to explore the medina and various sights. Ishmael was a great host and arranged our taxi transfer to and from the airport, with a porter to guide us to the riad. He was always available with advice and suggestions if you need anything.

This Riad was very well located, very nicely designed and very well maintained. Ismaeil and his team were brilliant. Ismaeil was very nice to us. Upon our arrival, he told us all we needed to know. Gave us all very important hints and provided his number to us to call if and when required. He always opened the door with a smile. His attention to detail around the Riad was stunning. Having fresh roses around the Riad and in the room and remembering what we liked and ensuring our comfort. His team was very polite and helpful. Overall, it was a great place to stay with a great staff. Definitely recommend it.

If you want to be in the heart of the souq, this location is perfect. It’s quiet, has a nice terrace, and the breakfast is decent. The staff is responsive and helpful.
Cons: The nearest taxi stand is a 7-minute walk. And you need to pass all the dirt and loudness of the market. The surrounding area is a busy market, so expect lots of dirt and noise. The rooms are humid, the water pressure in the shower is extremely weak, and the mattress and blankets are of low quality.

Absolutely amazing Riad: must stay in Marrakesh. Ismael - the host - is super nice and will make sure you get everything you want and need. For breakfast, you have a lot of options and will be served at the rooftop. The rooftop is sunny all day. The rooms are super clean and large. The location is great, in the middle of all souks and super central.

The building and how it’s furnished. The location in the middle of the medina close to all important sites. The daily complete breakfast offered. The value for the money. All the services offered: Mint tea on demand, bottled water, transfers from/to airport, etc. Ismael (manager) availability to answer questions and offer suggestions.
Cons: Very small, only that it doesn’t accept credit cards to pay for city taxes and extra. A tiny insignificant price to pay for such a wonderful guest house.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. They upgraded my rooms on the day where it was available. The rooms were clean and cleaned every day. The location was good if you wanted to be near the medina.
Cons: There's no taxis available nearby so in that sense the location isn't great, it's a 7 minute walk to where the taxis will drop you off. They could make use of the terrace better by serving drinks and refreshments at their bar. There weren't any staff on the terrace whenever I went, however that's great if you like privacy.

From the moment we walked through the door we were looked after, and the sense of peace within the space was so welcome after the hustle and bustle of the medina outside. Everything we needed was provided, and the room was spotless and really comfortable, with beautiful original Moroccan decor and plenty of light. Like it says in the name, technically this was a dar rather than a riad because although the open space in the middle had a fountain and courtyard the trees were in giant pots rather than in the ground - but this technicality made no difference to our stay! The roof garden is currently closed for repairs (Nov 2023) but the courtyard and lounges were all available and very peaceful. The whole riad was full of original decor and art both old and new, and the manager helped us with everything we needed. The location is great - just around the corner from the beautiful Ben Youssef medersa, and a fairly straightforward 15min walk through the souks to Jemaa el-Fnaa (the main square). There are several nice restaurants and rooftop cafes in the street outside.
Cons: It took us a while to locate our driver for the airport transfer - look for a sign with a picture of a palm tree, and make sure the name of the riad is exactly right.

The host was extremely helpful when it comes to showing us offline maps (smartphone app) which actually work not only in Marrakech Medina but also in Fez, Rabat and El Jadida. So this was extremely helpful. We were greeted with mint tea upon arrival (around midnight) and shown to our rooms decorated in a magnificiant moroccan style.

Cons: Unfortunately there was a one problem I discovered after I left Morocco. I booked this accommodation 2 months in advance and I paid for it via booking web side. Then I was charged for it Riad Al Hambra again. Now I'm having difficulties with booking to refund my double payment, even if I have am email from booking with confirmation of the first payment and a recipe I received in Riad for the second payment, both for the same accommodation.

The location of the riad right in the medina meant that a quick walk was enough to reach nice restaurants, the souks and several interesting tourist sites. The internet free app that Ismael loaded up on our phones was the great and stopped us getting (too) lost.
Cons: Don't be suprised to get woken by the call to prayer. Just relax and doze off before heading down to a fantastic breakfast.

Me and my partner loved everything about this Riad. It's cosey, secretive, has beautiful interior decoration, and is so peaceful to stay in. The staff were so attentive, always making sure that we were happy with our stay and providing recommendations and guidance for when we were walking around Marrakech (because you'll need the guidance to deal with merchants and what to look out for when walking around!). Price wise, for what we got, we were so happy. A beautiful room, breakfast every morning, and upon request could have it on the roof basking in the sun!
Cons: I don't want to criticise this place because they did everything they could to make our stay a delight. We were very happy customers.

Ideally located in the heart of the medina, the main square is less than a 10 min walk away through the souks. Our beds were comfortable and the riad itself is a real haven to come back to after a busy day navigating marrakech. Ismael was the perfect host. Make sure to dine in the Riad when you stay, the tagine was hard to beat, and in fact it was our favourite one there. The breakfast is fresh and plentiful, contintental style. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Splendid little palace hidden inside the Medina, restaured and decorated with love and to perfection by the owners, who were in residence during our stay. The Riad was very traditional, the decor was lovely. The reception at the building was very welcoming and the staff were very attentive. Breakfast was nice and set us up for the day we’ll.
Cons: The building could use a little attention and maintenance in some areas. A heads up that the airport transfer even when booked through the hotel stops a 7 min walk away and a person with a wheelbarrow will come and help with any luggage, this was an unexpected surprise..

I loved the closeness of the riad to the medina and the amazing people that work there. Ismail gave us a tip of an offline map to use when we are out and about that really helped us navigate the chaos of the souq. He also gave us tips on how to navigate the city in general. The owners of the riad were also very kind to us when my friend got sick. All in all definitely recommend this riad!
Cons: The breakfast could have more variety like fresh fruit and maybe more of a buffé style so you can get whatever you want more of instead of having to ask.

Our second stay in a week at this beautiful Riad. The staff arranged an additional stay at very short notice, stored our bags whilst we took a trip to the Sahara Desert. They aranged a very early breakfast and welcomed us back warmly upon return. Ishmael (?) The young manager is a credit to his Riad and a great ambassador for Morocco more generally.
Cons: Whilst it was no problem for us, there was a staircase to the bathroom which may not be ideal for every visitor.

We were greeted by Izmir upon arrival. The check in was very smooth and we were given cookies and mint tea. The Riad was beautiful! It was easy to find and the location was central. The room was spacious and clean. Their interior design of the Riad was beautiful. We had to leave very early for our desert tour, Izmir was very accommodating and prepared breakfast early in the morning.
Cons: Nothing. Wished we had spent longer there. Would definitely recommend!

Traditional continental Moroccan breakfast was excellent! Delicious mint tea to welcome us, coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice along w a great selection of jams to go along w m'semen and fresh bread. Loved it! Staff was friendly and so helpful! Special thanks to Ismael for all your tips and advice!
Cons: Outside smells incredibly nice but the room can sometimes have a hint of a musty smell.

Amazing Riad in the middle of the Medina. We stayed in a comfortable and spacious room, which was also very quiet at night! The staff always available and prepared a delicious breakfast in the morning to set us up for the day ahead. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful place to stay, right in the heart of the city. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was awesome.
Cons: Nothing really, just be warned it can be tricky to find on foot when you arrive... Although that's the same of anything in the old city!

位於清真寺的小巷中，計程車沒辦法開進去，會停在巷口，一下車有人會想來幫你帶路，但是他們是想要小費，步行到廣場有一段距離，大概15-20分鐘，但是整段路都位於市場、市集當中不會無聊，旅館外觀不明顯，旅館裡面裝飾精緻，很有摩洛哥風情，一進入旅館會端來薄荷茶，滿好喝的，房間格局很長，浴室大又乾淨，熱水夠熱，早餐比較基本，茶或咖啡搭配摩洛哥餅以及果醬奶油，有一個黑人小姐服務人員英語不通，只會說法文，溝通有困難，第一晚老闆不在，一直問不到WIFI密碼，老闆似乎是義大利人，英文可以溝通，最後一天帶我們到沙漠團集合處，人還不錯。

Hamid and his team are there to make your stay perfect! No question or request is too much. Very friendly! The hotel is small but cosy, clean and comfortable. Communication in English is easy. Location, in the north of the Medina, is perfect. The build of the hotel is a bit noisy, but with a bit of consideration by all, it is no nuisance.

I cannot really comment on the hotel because they decided to OVERBOOK and left me without a room. The staff that I talked to was very rude and pretty much didn't care where we went. They kept assuring me that I would not pay "additional charges" for the riad that they suggested. They didn't even have the decency to send me an email about the situation. I had to figure it out from the person they sent out to retrieve me from the taxi. I cannot express this more. Don't leave your decision up to them. I was on the other side of the world without a place to stay. Please seek another riad or hotel!!!!

Leider ist es scheinbar oft der Fall, daß das kleine Riad bewusst überbucht wird. Trotz Vorabbezahlung hatten wir die erste Nacht kein Zimmer und mussten in ein anderes Riad. Am Besten kurz vorher die Buchung nochmal telefonisch vom Riad bestätigen lassen! Ansonsten ist es sehr zu empfehlen! Ein uriges, sehr gemütliches Riad, nettes Personal, leckere Küche!

We'd reserved 2 rooms through Expedia. On arrival, they were only expecting us to have one room, but said the second one would be ready in 20 minutes (2 hours later, it still wasn't). The one room that they showed us to had the electric socket hanging off the wall with loose wires sticking out. We pointed it out, they promised it would be fixed in 20 minutes (3 days later they hadn't touched it). That night we did get our two rooms, one of them lovely but both freezing cold. The next night they moved all our belongings from one room to an attic room (also freezing cold), without asking us. The bed had a spot of blood on the sheet! The final straw came the next morning, when they informed us the manager's family had all arrived to stay and we would have to relocate to another hotel. Expedia were great, they managed to sort out a refund for us and got the hotel to pay the taxi fare to a different hotel, which we booked ourselves. Even the taxi journey was a nightmare, the manager had us sitting in a taxi for 20 minutes waiting for the driver, who eventually appeared with another family and their luggage, and told us to get out of the car and find another taxi. All in all, a dreadful experience.

Come tutti i riad nella medina, difficile da trovare se non accompagnati da qualche locale (a pagamento :-( ). Molto curato ma è difficile comunicare con i dipendenti. Ottimo collegamento wi-fi.

Finding the hotel in the maze of narrow medina streets was an adventure - despite saying he knew where it was, our airport taxi driver airport gave up and dropped us nearby asking passersby to show us the way. We relied on tablet technology to guide us, but be careful as some websites have this hotel in the wrong place (but expedia has it correct). You should pre-arrange transport through the riad if uncomfortable wandering the streets and asking directions. The entrance door is easy to miss, but nearby shopkeepers will help you. The interior architecture of the central courtyard is stunning (and surprisingly cool in the middle of summer), the surrounding rooms are well fitted and comfortable (if perhaps a little compact - and beware of steps), and there is a rooftop terrace. Breakfast was simple but more then ample and very tasty and the rooms have air conditioning. There is free WIFI in the building (no password needed). Others have commented on the noise - we had no problem from other guests but I can see how loud voices from the courtyard would be heard from the rooms, as can the early morning call-to-prayer via loudspeaker from the nearby Ben Youssef mosque at 3.40 am (but this is part of the Marrakech experience). You will need to knock to get access to the hotel each time you return to the riad, and I found having some French useful with communication, but the staff are very friendly and helpful, and arranged a taxi at the front door at 4 am to catch my flight.

The rooms are quite small but I think this is the case with most of the riads in Marrakesh. The rooms are placed on two floors around the inside courtyard (with a lovely fountain) so if other guesst come down for a cigarette you can smell the smoke in your room! The same applies to other guests having late evening or early morning meals/conversation in the courtyard - you will hear every single word in your room. Apart from that, the Riad is very beautiful and the staff if very polite and helpful. Dar Alhambra has a very nice terrace with a beautiful view over the city and Atlas Mountains.

Ein kleines Hotel mit großen luxuriösen Zimmern in prunkvollem arabisch-marrokanischem Stil und einem herzensguten Personal (Aziza und Fatma)sowie einem effizientem,freundlichen Geschäftsführer (Mr. Hamid) in der Altstadt in ruhiger Lage in Fußweite zu Souk und Djemma el Fnaa machten unseren Kurzurlaub zu einem einmaligen Erlebnis. Das Riad ist absolut empfehlenswert!
