I really the manager that is working there. He is very friendly, he welcomed us at the parking lot to carry our luggages and leaded us to the Riad. The Riad is so beautiful, the view on the terrace is amazing. It’s the tallest building in the town where you can see the sunrise and the view of the whole Medina. The manager gave us free tea and orange juice. He showed us the map and told us where to go. I think the main reason this property is highly rated is because of this manager. Thumbs up!

Cons: I like everything about this property.

. Juste bon à savoir avant de reserver

The riad is beautiful, and the staff is SUPER friendly. Unfortunately, staying so close to the medina is not safe. Walking around after dusk and night can be very very dangerours, and people in the medina (specially youths) are not friendly at all. One feeld very unsafe.

Beautiful Riad. Very quiet when we were there in July. The staff were absolutely amazing and extremely helpful. Met us at the taxi drop off and Helped with our luggage. Helped us communicate with any issues we had with anything. Had a rooftop, but too hot to sit there. I had a tour to do on my own (female) and they made sure I was taken care of till the guide turned up. Great place

Cons: For us the air condition was too cold and couldn’t adjust, even with staff help. Our accommodation was on the 3rd floor with narrow stairs and no lift. The staff were great and extremely helpful taking everything up and back down again for us. I think at the time of booking was hard to work out were the rooms we’re This Riad only served breakfast.

This riad has a spacious, clean, peaceful, and beautiful inner courtyard where you can sit and relax if you choose to. Our room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially with meeting us on arrival at the shuttle transfer point near the Riad and again on departure and they insisted on taking our luggage so we didn’t have to. The breakfasts were very good, especially the orange juice! We liked the roof terrace which has a lovely view over most of the medina in Fes, we also had breakfast there which was nice.

Cons: There was a bad drain or damp smell coming from the bathroom which meant we had to leave the window open most of the time in there and the bedroom and we were trying to keep the flies and mosquitoes out which we weren’t always able to do. We were told there were no mosquitos but I was bitten by one. We were given written information and verbally in person about the tour guides which was 300 MAD for 3 hours and 500 MAD all day. When we went to book it we were told the prices changed to 500 MAD for 3 hours and 800 MAD all day! When we said we were verbally told the lower price we were told they didn’t say that when they did. They apologised for not updating the written information and said it was a government policy that changed the price, but it was disappointing that the price suddenly changed. A dirty towel in the bathroom when we were shown to our room was changed and there weren’t enough hangers for two people but we were given another two when we requested them.

Large spacious room. Great location in the medina - not deep inside but just enough to still be able to go beyond the walls. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Cons: Our stay was at the end of January, and so the rooms were cold, requiring heat in both the bedroom and the bathroom. I imagine in the summer the riad would be bright and the coolness would be very welcoming. We had booked the deluxe triple and the shower was very awkward

From our arrival to departure, the staff at Riad Braya provided outstanding service. We were able to check in early and welcomed with rose scented hand towels, mint tea and an assortment of delicious biscuits. Our room was large and very comfortable with lots of drawers and hanging space. Breakfast was filling with a range of options and good coffee. The rooftop terrace provided a panoramic view of Fes as well as comfortable loungers. Some reviews have complained about the smell from the bathroom- yes there are smells but the modern doors between the bedroom and bathroom prevent it spreading plus it is not strong or constant and as the manager has commented, is to be expected in an ancient building. We particularly appreciated having one staff member help with our luggage and taxi when we were leaving. A huge thank you to Tariq who helped us with a tour operator, Ayoub and Mohammed for your outstanding hospitality.

The location of the riad is fantastic, right in the heart of Fes, making it easy to explore the city. The team working at the riad were polite, helpful, and attentive. They assisted us with our luggage from the parking area, provided a dish of fresh fruits upon arrival, and were always courteous. The staff's effort to make us comfortable was much appreciated.

Cons: Unfortunately, my stay was marred by a major issue related to the booking process and the way management handled it. As a frequent traveler with my wife and two young children, I have booked dozens of hotels through Booking.com. I always book as two adults and then mention in the special requests that we are traveling with two babies, requesting baby cots. This has never been a problem before, even at other properties with clear policies. In fact, only once in my entire experience did I encounter an issue – a hotel that did not accept children. However, they informed me in advance, and we canceled without any extra charge. For this stay, I booked the most expensive room (the Deluxe Suite) for three nights, costing over €600, to ensure we had enough space for our family. I sent my usual request for baby cots, but Riad Braya did not respond. Had they replied, I could have addressed the issue beforehand or even canceled the booking and chosen another property. The lack of communication was frustrating, as other hotels have always responded to such requests, even if they couldn't accommodate them. Upon arrival, I requested the baby cots. The staff informed me that the manager refused to provide them and instead offered an extra bed for an additional charge. I explained that our older child isn't even three yet, and that we specifically chose a large room because we are a family. The staff member insisted that this was the manager’s policy and suggested that I should have included the children in the booking search. However, this is impractical because Booking.com often suggests booking two separate rooms, which makes no sense for a family with babies. Despite my efforts to explain and request flexibility, we were forced to pay extra for the additional bed. I even asked to speak with the manager, but was told he was abroad in Europe, and that this policy would not be changed.

Riad Braya was set in the Medina, so be prepared to walk to the property as cars are not allowed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The property itself was nice enough, but there was one area where I thought there was room for improvement. As is common with riads, there were not windows to bring in outside light. It would have been nice if the room had softer lights as opposed to the somewhat florescent feeling bulbs. Also, the nightstand lights were very dim, making it impossible to lie in bed and read. Fortunately our room had it's own private big stretch of balcony, so we could sit there, which was lovely.

A beautiful Riad with a fantastic roof terrace looking over the old Medina - spectacular views. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was wonderful and spacious with all the amenities you could possibly need. Located about a 10 minute walk from the old Medina and the King's Palace - plenty to do and see all easily within walking distance. I arranged a guided tour of the city which I would absolutely recommend but the hotel provided me with a local map and were always on hand should you need anything. Had a wonderful stay and would happily stay again - highly recommend.

We enjoyed our 3-night stay at Riad Braya. The riad was not very crowded while we were there, so the service was good and the staff was always available. The main downside is that room cleaning was random from one day to another, e.g. some days we had body lotion, but the other we did not. It was a nice oasis from the craziness of the Medina and all the scammers who try to tell you that "the roads are closed".

Riad Braya was the highlight of our stay in Fes, so much that we decided to devote our last day to just staying in, doing nothing and just relaxing in this beautiful riad. We had their best room on the top floor with the private huge balcony/lounging space. Beware it is a walk up with no elevator, but we didn’t care, for our particular abilities. The room air conditioner was superb, pumping cold air non stop, and we stayed in July, one of the hottest months (and they have solar panels on the roof!). The bath/shower water pressure was great, bathtub was huge. The breakfast was one of the highlights as per other reviews, served right on our balcony, it also can be set up on the rooftop and downstairs on the lobby floor. Rooftop in early mornings and late evenings was very nice and chilled space to hang out at. Riad was very quiet and not busy, barely saw other guests, which was to our advantage to be honest, we felt like we had a private experience. They even set up an extra bed for my son, even though he could technically sleep on a large couch in the room. The staff was very nice and hospitable, starting with a mint tea and cookies on arrival - instead of standing by the check in counter waiting for the paperwork to be done, we were lounging and unwinding from the long trip in a spectacular lobby with a delicious tea - little things like that truly show the hospitable nature of this beautiful culture. The staff also arranged for and escorted me to a henna artist at another sister riad, as I wanted to experience and see Moroccan henna art but didn’t want to do henna on the street.

Cons: Nothing

The staff were fantastic. Anwar, Ali and the rest really went out of their way for us. The breakfast is great (you can have it on the terrace). One of the staircases is a bit steep, but take the other staircase and you'll be fine. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. Riad Braya is very accessible too - just tell your taxi to go to the Dar Batha Museum roundabout (that has Fes Heritage Boutique on it, as is fontaine batha) and follow the alleyway in which Cinema Cafe is in. Keep going straight for about 5-6 minutes and Riad Braya will be on your right (it's name plaque has a blue light). The Riad itself is stunning inside, with great facilities. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Fes. The only negative I can think is one that is probably applicable to every Riad in the medina (I didn't explore the Merinid tombs side of the medina) which is the steep incline of the roads to and from souks, and historical sites such as the Qarawiyyin mosque. It's fine when you're on the way to said site, but the way back is a challenging incline to say the least. That said, the alley ways are clean and the floor is paved, so walking (and even a pushchair) shouldn't be an issue. That said, I think Riad Braya is in a great location as there is easy access to a taxi road it's very close to Bab Bou Jeloud. There are good places to eat nearby too (such as Barbecue Alarbi Fes).

The staff was amazing and the Riad was incredibly beautiful. We had a palatial suite and were treated like royalty! We had a really great stay here and all of the staff recommendations for restaurants were amazing.

Cons: Not sure how to answer the safety question - we were escorted everywhere - so I'm not sure if that was stellar service or concern for our safety. It was during Ramadan - so may not be a fair assessment for year-round.

Staff were super friendly and helpful - Anwar, Tarek, Muhammad and Nadia looked after us with a smile. Great breakfast. Lovely traditional riad in the medina - world recommend

Cons: Nothing, except there are a lot of steps, so consider this for the less mobile. Plus the small pool is in the main reception area so you may not feel like you wa t to swim there in front of everyone

We have very much enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights, well looked after by the smiling and friendly staff - notably Anwar, Muhammed and Tarek, not forgetting the lovely Nadia, who made our room spotless every day. Breakfast was really good, with tasty fresh juices and fruit salad each morning. Great location in the medina. Small pool, which is in the main reception area so you may feel a bit self conscious swimming there. But overall, recommend for great service and local authentic feel. Thank you all for looking after us

The staff, specifically Mohammed, was absolutely incredible. Before, during, and after my trip, Mohammed and staff was available and amazing at helping us. When we missed our train, he set us up with a comfortable car last minute, arranged our trip to our next city, and set us up with the best tour guide I’ve ever had. Also, the Riad is beautiful and breakfast on the terrace was fantastic!

A great gem in middle of Fes Madina. The place is kept in great condition, the outdoor space and the ambient gives you the calm and sense of Morocco, while the rooms are moderns and well kept and have all amenities. The staff was amazing and nice. Mohammad specially was great help for us, he was generous with his time and giving us advise but also helped alot. Even on the day we had to leave early and couldn't stay for breakfast he made us to go breakfast bags. I strongly recommend this place and if I come back to Fes I stay here again. I stayed in other Riads in other cities and I can certainly said this was definitley a 5* experience.

The main area of the Riad is quite beautiful, although in the rain, it leaked. The staff is truly amazing and very attentive to the guests .. and breakfast was great, but that's where it ends. Our family had two rooms and both were disappointing ... the bathroom shower was run down, the base appeared to be coming apart from the wall, it was rusty and moldy. It also did not drain properly, causing it to flow over and flood the floor every night when we used it. The heating in the room was not good, as it was either too hot or too cold. I had messaged in advance to confirm they had a hair dryer in the room and they told me they did. They did indeed have a hair dryer, but it was a tiny one with barely any power at all. Housekeeping also knocked over my open suitcase from the luggage rack it was one, and rather than put it back they put a different bag on the luggage rack and left my suitcase overturned with much of my clothing on the floor (a real problem for a germaphobe like me) All if this made for a very uncomfortable stay.... after three nights I was ready and happy to leave.

Lovely Riad with excellent service. The staff, especially Mohamed, was always smiling and willing to help. The traditional Moroccan breakfast was excellent and far more than we could eat. Check in was efficient. They shared delicious mint tea and cookies while we waited. When we got to the room there was a tray of fresh fruit and more cookies waiting for us. Note: Fes has 9,000 streets, including small alley ways. While it is a charming location, you can easily get lost if you step outside the Riad. We arranged for a guide to walk us to a restaurant. That is standard practice so tourists don't get lost. The only complaint we have is about the lighting in the Ambassador Suite. It was so dark that we had to use flashlights to locate clothing in our suitcase! Please put better lighting in this suite! Also note that there are many stairs going up to some of the rooms. If you have trouble with stairs, this may not be the right place for you.

The Riad is very clean and quiet, the perfect place to relax! The staff is extremely kind and they strive to give you the best experience you could have in their Riad. The breakfast is great and the food we had for dinner was really nice as well. The room was very spacious and we even got upgraded to a suite free of charge! The pool is not the biggest but it is really nice and helps you with the heat of Morocco. The terrace is quite nice as well, we had both dinner and breakfast there and the view is one of the best I've seen in Fes. The Riad also arranged a Taxi for us at 4a.m. to go to the airport and everyone was super nice despite it being super early. The staff also speaks amazing English, which is always a huge plus since my French is quite rusty and I don't speak Arabic at all!

Well located Riad close the Bab Boujloud (the blue gate). Easy to find. I travelled alone and never felt unsafe. Very friendly staff. The Riad contacted me the week before my stay to check if I needed a pick up. They then rang me to confirm the arrangement. Very impressed. Omar in particular was very approachable and attentive. But all the staff are very helpful. Beautiful courtyard with pool. Also a rooftop terrace with views (but almost too hot to enjoy in June!). Room was clean, though some wear and tear is starting to show. Large bathroom with modern bath and hand held shower. Comfortable bed. Sitting area with tv and satellite. Air conditioning worked well but a little noisy. Breakfast was filling. Eggs with selection of breads and pastries, fruit salad. Very good Riad for the price range, I would happily stay again. Ps. Check out the leather belt workshop and store a couple of doors down. They customised two belts for me for MAD50 (€5) each.

Mohammad and his team understand hospitality! They are so welcoming, understanding, and extremely humble. Omar even went out of his way to serve us a delicious breakfast earlier than they usually do. We expected something small, but they were still able to provide a full (and delicious) meal. With a lot of our plans having us leaving early and coming back late, we were always treated with respect. They were accommodating beyond our expectation. The Riad itself is clean and well taken care of. There were a few cosmetic things we noticed in our specific room, but nothing that took away from our experience. I highly recommend booking a few nights at Riad Braya. you will not be disappointed

Highly recommend Riad Braya! It was a little tricky for me to find at first as there are many alleys to wander through but what a dream of a Riad once you enter! This place is even better than the photos and the service that Omar & Hannah provided was superb! Hannah recommended a delicious Moroccan restaurant with beautiful views of old Medina and the blue gate. I felt safe walking around solo and Omar even offered to walk me to my next excursion pick up. I’m sad I’m only staying one night, it’s so beautiful! I’ll be back, thank you Riad Braya for an amazing first Moroccan experience! Also, I was greeted with tea and they upgraded me to a suite upon arrival. This is a must stay Riad!

We had a very short stay (5 hours) as our flight from Spain to Venice (due French strike) was cancelled and we were redirected via Fes. The hotel turned out to be amazing and we organised a driver to pick us up. Unfortunately, we arrived late at night and our driver could only take us so far as our accommodation was in the old city. The driver had very little english and stopped the car in a very shady place and we had to drag our cases a couple of 100 metres down dirty lanes to get to our hotel. Lots of shady characters hanging around. I actually felt scared. When we got inside, the accommodation was fine, but no food. We decided to just go to bed and booked a driver to pick us up early.

Cons: Perhaps, if the hotel stated that they were down a dirty unlit lane and the only part of the hotel that was visible from the street was the front door, perhaps we may not have been so scared or unprepared.

What a lovely stay at this Riad. I am so glad that we managed to get the last room here that was available for our travel dates. I regret not picking the room rate with breakfast, since we ended up having breakfast here every morning anyways. Breakfast is AMAZING, and so filling. We also had dinner here, and fyi since they serve food fresh, you'll have to request dinner a few hours earlier. Special shout out to Mohammed Ben Abbou, who has been so kind and so hospitable throughout our stay. I cannot emphasize enough how much he elevated our experience. He went above and beyond, taking care of our every little needs. From setting up our dinner/breakfast table just how we liked, to remembering how we liked our breakfast each morning. Whoever the owner of the hotel is, Mohammed is a gem - never lose him at any cost. I'll recommend this Riad to all my friends and family strictly coz of him. And if I find myself back in Fes, I'll go stay wherever he's working at. People visiting the Riad, please be kind to this gem of a human being. Just wanted to mention we only had one hick up at the hotel. On the first day of our stay our toilet did not flush properly. But management took care of it right away, so I've zero complains.

Staff were extremely helpful especially Simon who went above and beyond to help us with reservations and even took us to a few spots close by to ensure we didn’t get lost It is definitely worth arranging a guide to take you around Medina as there are nearly 9000 alleys so not worth wasting time if you are there for a short space of time We even hired a private taxi to take us further away from the medina as it saves time and the driver can serve as a guide The Hammam recommended by Simon was excellent too He also told us if you get lost best to ask a female as the men try to take you and then ask for money at the end The old architecture reminds you of the Alhambra so enjoy your time Fes really is their cultural capital Take care where you eat as some of the guests had food poisoning so do read up reviews before booking Dar rumana was excellent as was the restaurant armandier The former will send out a porter to collect you and the latter is very nearby

Cons: The riad is in the heart of the old town and it’s a maze in there but the staff are very helpful in guiding you It was all part of the experience and definitely worth trying

Me and my husband’s stay at Riad Braya exceeded our expectations and was truly exceptional. Our hosts Simon and Mohammed were very professional, welcoming, and ensured all our needs were met. They were very informative of the area and gave us tips to make the most of our stay. We requested the train and airport transfer to and from the Riad, respectively. Both transfers were very organized. During our welcome, and check-in we felt like royalty. We were greeting with Moroccan Mint tea and a selection of Moroccan desserts. We opted for daily breakfast, which I highly recommend. The daily breakfast included a variety of pastries, Moroccan pancakes, eggs, fruit salad, freshly squeezed oranges, coffee, tea, and water. This lasted us the entire day! Our room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The Riad has a rooftop terrace with a panoramic view that you can enjoy breakfast in. The Riad was very central to the old Medina which has the top attractions and stores. Our stay at Riad Braya was one of our highlights in our trip to Morocco. We will definitely be staying here again if we return.

Very beautiful Riad, exceptional hosts, both speaking good english and providing highest quality of service. Breakfast superb by Morocco standards. Do not hesitate to book here. Not the most expensive but definetely the best, best Riad we stayed in during two weeks in Morocco!

The Riad is stunning... Unbelievable that something this beautiful is hidden behind these walls. Super friendly stuff and helpful. We arroved with a tour from other city and found the stuff waiting for us to carry luggage, just amazing service. As for the rooms, that is why I gave a 9 not 10, we took the cheapest, which was great value for price but the bathroom was super low ceiling which wasn't very comfortable to shower but we checked other rooms and they are a dream from a fairytale.

Cons: The room size and the height of the ceiling in the bathroom.

I stayed at this Riad for four nights, and I had a wonderful experience. My room was lovely and everything was spotless. The pillows were so comfortable it was hard to get up in the morning! The food was delicious and the view of the Medina from the rooftop terrace was stunning. But what made this stay incredible was the staff. Mohammed and Simon could not have been more lovely, so helpful and kind. Any time I needed anything they were there to help, and they were so welcoming and hospitable. The riad itself was also beautiful and in a great location. I was genuinely sad to leave, but I will definitely be back. Would absolutely stay here again!

The location is good, easy to go to the blue gate, there are many restaurants nearby. All the staffs are enthusiastic and ready to help whenever you need them, the breakfast is super tasty, especially after 8 days intensive moroccan breakfast. The rooftop is quite comfortable, you can see the beautiful view of Fes at night.

Absolutely gorgeous interior to the Riad. The room was a great size and the bathroom was lovely. They had the most incredible claw-foot bathtubs.

Cons: You have to have your shuttle/transfer drop you off and then walk through the streets to the Riad. This is common in Morocco, so it's not so much a complaint as something to be aware of. The hotel staff was very helpful and helped carry my bags.

This hotel is an old colonial home. Very nice structure that has been renovated; however, it’s for sure not a 5 star hotel. I would say 3. It doesn’t have amenities a 5 star has, for example: no restaurant, gym, pool is more of a decoration than usage, etc Service team is great, they tried to do what they could, but overall, for sure not a 5 star hotel

This lovely riad is in a great location in the Medina. It's close to the blue gate and so many restaurants. There was a mix up in our reservation but they gave us a lovely larger room at no additional charge. Breakfast was hearty and plentiful. What really made our stay memorable were the attendants, Simon and Mohammed, who really worked hard to help us. They made us feel so comfortable in a new environment. If you plan on taking a Medina walking tour, beware it is comprised of a little history and a lot of shopping, with lunch in a beautiful but pricey tourist restaurant ($44 dollars for 2). We should have asked for more info prior to arranging. The riad did arrange transport to Volumbilis and Chefchaouen, which felt quite safe and friendly. Would love to stay here again.

I booked this Riad knowing it would be beautiful from the photos but never imagined to be in such awe of its beauty and tranquillity upon arrival! Aside from the lovely architecture, the reason to stay here is definitely the staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. We were well looked after by Simon every minute of our stay. He took us in and made us feel like we were family with his genuine conversations! The Suite was spacious, bed/pillows comfortable, breakfast spread delicious and the sunrise from the terrace exquisite. Highly recommended and will certainly be staying here again!

Very pleasant riad in a good location only a few minutes from the 'Blue Gate' and close to several good restaurants. Staff wonderfully welcoming, friendly and helpful. Riad Braya was very welcoming and a beautiful Riad. Their staff was very accomodating. The location is excellent because it is in the medina and parking is close (3 minute walk). It took 10 minutes to walk to the Blue Gate. Our room was spacious. The only issues were the bed was too firm for our taste although similar to other Riads that we stayed in and water pressure in the shower was medium given that we were on the top floor. The view from the Terrace is amazing and not to be missed. Muhammad and Simon made fabulous recommendations for food and touring. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely stay there again!

This Riad is absolutely beautiful and serene. There is no elevator but if you make it up the stairs the view from the terrace is amazing. The staff are super friendly and kind. We had a good time in Riad Braya especially the service. Mohammad and Simon are incredibly nice, and helpful. Location is good, Riad is beautiful but our room was a bit quirky. The door and wall to the bathroom was glass. Most of it was opaque but parts were not, so complete privacy from the sleep area was not possible. Also, the bathroom door did not close properly and anyone over 6’ could not stand up straight in the shower, the shower screen only extended half of the tub and the floor got very wet. Breakfast was great. Overall, we liked our stay despite the quirkiness.

This Riad is beautiful and the service is excellent. The room we stayed in was very comfortable. The rooftop view is wonderful and the breakfast is very good. The location was perfect — very close walk to the medina and everything we wanted to go. The staff are also very helpful. I booked a day trip through the Riad and an airport transfer, and our driver Hamed was great. My only quibble is that the bathroom smelled musty after one of us showered. Otherwise it was excellent. I highly recommend Riad Braya.

This place/property is rated 5-star on Hotels.com and is far from it. The property is comparable to a 2 star motel with it's amenities, cleanliness and service. The one great thing about the property is the property manager / host, Mohammed, who's helpful, friendly and always smiling. Supposedly we got upgraded to Room #1. Which was spacious to EU standards, but lacked proper amenities and cleanliness. Shower stall is small, shower-heads not clean. One of the bathroom windows could not be closed. Booked a fully refundable rate, but 3 days before arrival the property converted our booking to non-refundable. Hotels.com customer service when called confirmed that we had until midnight to change or cancel but when they contacted the property, the property would not allow cancellation. Property indicated that this was a Hotels.com issue and Hotels.com stated they cannot cancel the booking as the property would not allow. In summary, based on the property manager, Hotels.com collects 20% fee. They did not want to give up this fee, and therefore the property will not allow cancellation. Serving the customer and honoring the cancellation policy was not important to either the property or Hotels.com. We visited a Riad close-by where one of our other friends was staying, which is rated 3star, and realized that this other property had much better amenities, was clean and had great service including restaurant, hammam. Won't recommend. Let's be honest on ratings, please!

The Riad Braya was like an oasis. We had a long drive from Chefchaouen and the riad's manager, Mohamed, met us at the parking lot to assist us with the luggage. Once we got into the riad, we were struck with its beauty and coolness. Mohamed offered us mint tea and biscuits and we were then shown our room. The room was comfortable, clean and fresh. After unpacking, we starting exploring the Medina which is a 5 minute walk. Mohamed was a great host and we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast every morning with coffee, orange juice, eggs, bread and pastries (see pic). Mohamed was an encyclopedia of local information and restaurant recommendations. He also made arrangements for the taxi ride to the airport. In a new and exotic land, Mohamed made the visit stress free. Thank you Mohamed. I hope we meet again.

Overall, I have to say that it is a nice hotel. Well renovated, nice location in Medina, clean, comfortable and great service from staff Simon. My experience was outstanding till the last night. I arranged a private tour with hotel. On my way back to the hotel from parking lot around 9pm, there is a guy who followed up from the parking lot all the way to the hotel. I didn't say anything as the tour guide and him talked normally in Arabic(I don't understand Arabic). I though they were friends. Up till we arrived my Riad, staff Mohammed opened the door, the guy started to ask me for money. I was so confused. This guy said he is the parking lot security, because he protected me from the parking lot to my Riad, I need to pay his "protecting service". I didn't ask for his service and I was not notified about it. I refused to pay. Through the entire time, I asked multiple times for help from Mohammed and the tour guide. I was hoping that they can help me to let go the guy or call police. However, both of them kept quiet and both of them look scared to deal with the parking lot security guy. I don't know if the parking lot security is local gang or something. In the end, after my multiple requests, Mohamed spoke with the parking lot guy with Arabic and I paid him some tips to let him go. I understand that it might be the security issue of Fes, not the hotel itself. However, I was wishing that hotel staff could have done a better job to protect us since it is a very security issue.

Excellent one night stay while passing through Fes. As is typical, you pass through a non-descript door on a walking street into a bright (enclosed) courtyard. The place is everything one would expect and more: beautiful, clean, and close to the Media and good, local restaurants. However, what truly sets it apart is the service. The do-everything manager, Simon, was absolutely incredible. We'd really like to thank him for doing everything possible to make our stay special, as well as his advice on the best areas in the medina to get various goods. Definitely recommend.

The Riad is beautiful, and staff were very kind. Unfortunately, our room smelt like sewer. We suspected fumes were coming through the bathroom pipe in the floor. There was not much that could be done other than open the window (which was difficult to do because it was cold--we visited in December).

Family trip to Fes - the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. They will help you with any day trips you need. The Riad is very clean and well kept and in a good part of the Medina (only a few hundred feet from the nearest parking spot). That is very useful especially for your first time so you don't have to navigate the maze of the medina right away. Highly recommend this Riad!

We enjoyed our stay at this riad. It is right in the Medina not far from Batha. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. They very kindly arranged for a pickup from the train station and a porter to take our bags from where the car left us off to the riad itself. When we got to the riad they welcomed us with mint tea and pastries. We had a 2nd floor room that was very nice, though the ceiling was a little short in spots for someone that is 6'1". The breakfast they had for us every morning was delicious. I would certainly recommend this riad to other travelers.

Riad Braya is an absolutely gorgeous property - we particularly liked the lobby area and the decor of our bathroom. The Riad itself is very clean and pretty but my wife and myself were very pleased to their staff and their hospitality. They helped us a lot organizing a tour to Chouen as well as our first night dinner, and logistics from Airport to Fes, Fes to Casablanca. The Riad was beautiful and well equipped, though no doubt short staffed due to the Eid al-Adha. The right sink only ran hot (very!) hot water, no cold, and one bathroom light flickered. Our stay at Riad Braya was phenomenal! We arrived late (almost 2am) due to missing a flight and having to take the train, and Simon was kind enough to stay up to wait for us and send us a driver. He welcomed us with mint tea and a beautiful smile! Throughout our stay, Simon, Mohammed, and (I forgot the other gentleman's name), made us feel like princesses at "the palace". Breakfast was delicious every morning, they provided us a map and guided us as needed, and they also arranged our 1-day trip to Chefchaouen. The location of the riad is perfect to walk to everything within the medina. We had dinner for my sister's birthday there one night; the food was delicious, the presentation top notch, and they even surprised her with a cake! At one point we had the entire riad to ourselves and it really felt like our palace. We still talk about "our palace" and wish we could've stayed there longer. I also have to mention that on our last day, as we were already leaving in the car, one of the gentlemen came running to the car to give me the earrings I had forgotten!! That was soooo sweet and honest of him! I have no words to describe how anazing this place and the staff were! Thank you so much to everyone at Riad Braya, we hope to return one day and see you again!
