First of all, I don't write BAD reviews because I am also a businessman and I want to give every business a chance to grow especially in these harsh business conditions. Secondly, I am so angry, seething and incensed that I am writing this review immediately after the incident with the manager whilst I am still currently staying here. Today is Saturday 15/11/2025 and I am still currently at the at the hotel and I am due to depart on 17/11/2025. I have reported the fridge in my room as faulty and three times, their technicians have attended two times and their excuse is that the card controlling the electricity supply to the room was not connected and hence the reason the fridge was not working for lack of constant electricity supply. They have eventually change the fridge this morning (Saturday 15/11/2025) and the electricity to the room has been constantly on for the last 7.5 hours an the fridge is not working. I have again complained to the manager of the hotel and he himself came to inspect the fridge and he then asserted that the fridge was working and I disagreed with him because I know a working fridge and he cannot hoodwink me. The conduct o the manager that visited my room was NOT good either and he was very bullish and disrespectful in the manner he told me that the fridge was working. I am a landlord and I have over 60 fridge freezers and I know the temperature of a perfectly working fridge after 30 minutes let alone 7.5 hours. All my stuff in the fridge have all gone off. I am staying in room 116 and the view of the hotel from my room is a joke for a 4 star hotel. I will upload some pictures and videos of the issues I am currently facing. Please pay good attention to the top of the fridge and see how dusty it is, the fridge is not maintained. Lastly, I forgot to mention the poor quality of the internet at this hotel. There is a Discotheque next door that is coastally blaring out must and it is impossible to sleep. It does NOT work and at best, you will be lucky to be connected for 10 minutes before being kicked off and you have to be constantly be rejoining the internet. THIS PLACE IS NOT NICE AND THE STAFF DID NOT DEAL WITH MY COMPLAINT WITH THE FRIDGE PROFESSIONALY AND THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE. THERE IS ALSO A POSSIBILITY THAT I MIGHT BE ASKED TO LEAVE BEFORE THE END OF MY STAY AFTER READING THIS REVIEW. PLEASE AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. -----------------

Cons: The whole hotel was dark gloomy and outdated for the price. Booking needs to revisit and review alot of hotels across morocco as many over charge for poor conditions.

STAY AWAY! HORRIBLE PLACE! Don’t waste your money here!!! They have a night club in the hotel that blasts music till 1:30 am. You can hear it in every room! The staff is friendly and good, but the issue is with the hotel’s management! We asked for a room change which took 72 hours , four calls, and two emails. The rooms are outdated and overrun by ants 🐜. Location is good and walking distance to a lot of touristy places in the city.

The location

Cons: Extremely noisy, from inside the hotel and outside , I was hearing screening and shouting from the street all the time in the night mostly comes from the night club they have, the internet connection was very bad at least in my room, and I need to go to the lobby each time to do work. I liked everything about Rive Hôtel Rabat. The moment i stepped into the first door i was met with friendliness, polite, very helpful staff. I compliment them all on their positive attitudes and exceptionnel work ethics. The customer service from the lobby staff, the luggage concierge, the dinning room and housekeeper staff were all at its highest level.

Cons: Nothing. It was all good at the Rive Hôtel Rabat. I have no complaints about this hôtel.

Cons: I was bitten by bugs, music from the restaurant woke my and my wife many times. I complained 3 times, only then, they gave me another room. Our large double bed was 2 single beds that were separating anytime me and my wife did activities. Staff were slouchy and withdrawn. This is not a 4 star hotel, it is a 1 star shithole. Bathtub doesn't take the water out fast enough so you stand in a foot of water when having a shower. There is no complimentary water, you must buy it. The whole hotel is shocking.

My room was on the 2nd floor at the front of the hotel. A nightclub which exited at the front of hotel was open nearly every night until 4 or 5am. Very noisy from 2am until 5am most nights. I stayed 2wks total. Many taxies outside dropping off and picking up through the night. Luckily I sleep well but was woken up several times with horns beeping and many people shouting. As I had an early start each day, I was at breakfast at 7am when it was scheduled to open. It never opened on time. Normally anywhere from 7.05 to 7.20am, and even then they were not fully ready. So I was rushing breakfast every day. The hotel hot breakfast selection was cold on a few occasions and not heated!!! Location was good for central Rabat and getting around.

The staff are extremely helpful, very polite, always smiling and ready to find the best solutions and answers for their guests. They added a bed to my children room so that my wife and I could enjoy our own separate room (the booking was for 6 people; 2 X 3 beds rooms). They supplied us with extra things that were not included in the breakfast buffet (such as virgin olive oil, sugar free Moroccan tea, etc.) I strongly recommend this hotel in Rabat.

Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good.

Cons: It would be very appreciated to get a water bottle each day. Tap water was not drickable. After a long day at the conference and I had no energy to go look for shops where to buy water. The lighting at the hotel was extremely poor. It was literaly pitch black in corridors and starecases. You had to start moving without seeing anything in order for lights to switch on. I almost fell on the stairs.

Cons: Not much of a choice on Breakfast, But Staff Nur Din was very helpful, But we ordered a cab to the airport with Mr Nur Din at the reception from the hotel and the cab driver ripped us off, we wore told 250MD to the airport and he charged us 300MD and he was a friend off Mr Din, so there was something going on as commision with them two. and it only cost us 200MD from the airport to the hotel, so the cab driver was a thief. So be aware when ordering cabs from the hotel and try to pay the hotel the cab fare before hand so they can sort it out before you leave otherwise they will ripe you off.

I had a conference in Rabat. A colleague recommended Rive Hotel for its proximity with every part of Rabat City Center. Restaurant, SPA and shops surrounding Rive Hotel make this nice place a small paradise in Rabat. From there, I could see the Mausoleum of King Mohammed V, the Cathedral, the Medina Market and many shops including of traditional clothes and shoes.

Stars do not mean the same in Morocco as in Europe. In my experience, Moroccan 4* is very much like 3* in Europe (or a bit worse). Rive Hotel is located relatively close to the most important sights in Rabat which is a big plus. Dinner was good, self-service, served until 11pm. We were quite late, so this was fortunate. Quite a lot of different dishes, but less choice than one would expect in a 4* hotel. Everything about breakfast was fine except the bread. We were first served old and dried toast, then some old baguettes, and when we ran out of them, somebody hurried out to buy fresh bread. This seemed quite odd. The room was very spacious, nicely furnished, but very dimly lit. We could hardly see anything. The bathroom was big and very nice.

Terrible, a/c did not work, tv did not work, hair dryer did not work. Food bad, dimly lit. Felt murdery as hell. No water in the room, no fridge in the room. Do NOT recommend. The lights turn on as you walk down the hallway but turn off as soon as you as past. So it is creepy as hell at night.

I visited Rabat for a few days on business. I was booked into the Rive Hotel, as many of the other hotels were full. The Hotel is in a back street, which means there is little or no road noise. But, while it looks modern and imposing on the outside, it was dingy on the inside with limited services - not up to the standard you'd expect from a four star hotel in a modern city. My room at the back of the hotel was dull, gloomy and lacking any view (apart from the bars on the window). There was no bottled water, no drink-making equipment, and no mini bar. The free wifi kept dropping out, which made it useless for streaming music or internet phone calls. Food options in the hotel were limited, too. That said, the staff were polite, and my room was clean; and it's an easy walk to the Hassan Tower, which is well worth a visit.

Hotel rooms in need of updating. Smell of damp in the rooms. Impossible to get to sleep in the room I was given on the 2nd floor due to the music coming from the nightclub below Thump thump thump until 4am. I asked to change rooms and was moved to the 4th floor still directly above the nightclub. The noise was the same. Breakfast was average. Fresh orange juice incurred an extra charge, as did fried eggs. I also had to ask for hot water every morning for the tea. Why not just put it out? Overall, disappointing for the price and I’ll avoid this hotel in the future if I can.

Too much to list for 4 star hotel the air con was non exisitant, we then moved rooms there was no fridge / mini bar , no kettle , there was refurbishment going on downstairs , painting etc , outside road works and construction, the bathroom had a lot of mould in the sealant , the lights were really dull , the smell was not great the carpit and decor was very very old fashioned I was really dissapointment as there was so many hotels to choose from and I thought re RIVE stood out with its appearance and rating . Breakfast was appalling not much variety and quality of food was below par, cut myself on the door entrance as nail was sticking out , I would not be staying there again and it is not a 4 star,

Compared to upscale hotels in the US and Europe, this is a little shabby. That said, the service is excellent, the room is comfortable, the linens are nice and the price is reasonable. They serve buffet meals and will let you bring food up to the room. The food is always freshly prepared. Everyone is considerate and helpful. Don't take a room that overlooks the front of the hotel. There is a night club across the street and if you like the windows open at night you will hear them when they are busy.

The staff is very attentive. The hotel is clean and has been renovated recently. There was plenty of hot water. We were here for four days and in that time the air conditioning never worked. The Internet connection was poor. If you are "Frum" do not stay here. There are motion detectors in the halls so you can not help but turn on the lights as you walk through on Shabbos.

This place was terrible, total money issues, minimal amenities, paper thin shower curtains, minimal cleaning. Hotel has fallen on hard times. It was a group booking and the Tour leader took the cheap option in which it shows this between a four and a half star to a three star. They have one review for 2018 which says everything to me. At one time it may have been a real hotel. Upholstry was worn and dirty, check in staff was 2 people in the front total. Lights dimmed - why - to hide the dirt? Hardly anyone in the Hotel. Had the smell of a hotel read to close down and gt a new owner.

With a long flight from the US we were glad to have arrived at the Rive Hotel. It was beautiful from the outside and the from lobby was nice. The check in was good but we needed our driver/tour guide to translate the process for us because the front desk did not speak English. The room was nice it had 3 single person beds which I had never seen in all my days of traveling. We only needed 2. The room did not have a microwave or mini fridge. It was booked via a tours company so I was glad that we were there for only one night. The bathroom had a toilet and bidet. The bathroom was nice and cozy. Not much of a view from the room. Just saw other buildings. The room had a door that served at the window and faux balcony. There was amazing art work in the ceiling of the room. The breakfast room was full of color Orange and Green. There was a variety of food for breakfast. It had a lot of options that I would not normally eat. I would recommend this hotel would be a nice stay but not for more than 3 days.

The Rive Hotel is situated in a quiet corner but it is clean and ok. The staff members are quite friendly. The corridors are very dark but has censor lights The only thing lacking is that you are not served a welcome drink upon arrival and not even a complimentary bottle of work is provided The food was not so good....same menu over 3 days I don't know much about the outside as i stayed in the hotel room/conference room for the 3 days until very late and did not have the chance to experience the place

The breakfast was awful. Very little food left at 0815 and what was there was bad. I booked in advance but they couldn't charge it through the credit card somehow. The room was really hot because of broken air con. Wifi unusable in the room, I did a speed test less than 0.5mbps. The sink in the bathroom was partially blocked so it filled with water. Staff are nice people but badly managed. Day one lesson for hotel staff: don't lightly knock on a room door at 0755 and then walk in.

The hotel is clean, service reasonable and staff courteous BUT there is a night club in the same building and the noise carries - on and on and on., The night club is supposed to close at 2.00 am - if you are lucky. Don't stay here unless you are a party animal or a very heavy sleeper. The noise is much worse in the front rooms than those at the rear. Ear plugs don't keep the noise out Oh - and the wifi is VERY erratic

I initially thought the hotel would be quite serene tucked in a quiet side street, but the party went on all night with people blasting music and their car horns all the way to 4am. By 6am, the quiet night had returned but the sun was coming up.

市内のホテルが混んでいたためこのホテルを利用したが、・向かいにライブハウス的なバーがあり、とにかく夜うるさい・部屋によって設備がまちまち。前回利用したときは冷蔵庫がなかったのに、今回はあった。同僚の部屋はセキュリティボックスが故障していた・シャワールームは水が排出されていかず、長時間利用できないなど欠点が多すぎる。もう利用することはないと思う。

The room and bed are very comfortabel, the breakfast also included a wide range of options, the staff at the restaurant was very helpfull. This was all a great plus. The only issue with this hotel is the noise, for the price you expect they would invest in having noise free windows and doors. Instead we couldn't sleep as there seems to be a disco/bar nearby. By the time it was 8 in the morning we woke up because of all the street noise. it was a very short night and we left the hotel more exausted then we entered it.

Booked this hotel based on a few pictures of the lobby, which ended up being the only area in the hotel that was as advertised. It's extremely hot here, but upon entering our room we found that out air conditioner was not working and there was a strong smell of mold. We called the front desk to complain and were told that the air conditioning has not been working in the entire hotel for a while and all the other patrons deal with it by keeping the windows open. We tried that except that there were no screens on the Windows and misquotes and flies came in and the street was extremely loud. After complaining again we were moved to another room that "was not moldy", but it was also not clean. I showed the hotel porter the dirt on the carpet and he apologized and said the cleaning girl didn't come in today. My question is -why even reserve rooms for $150 dollars a night and call yourself a 4 star hotel if you can't even maintain the most basic things that you advertise. All hotels around were booked and it was around 11pm so we ended up staying only one of the nights booked in the "moldy open window room" and checked out the next day.

For the price even of what they describe as a small suite, it is not worth it ! First, location is in back streets away from any convenience stores. Taxies infrequently pass by ! Second, breakfast menu is poor. Third, they do not provide iron & board on request ! Altogether disappointing !

Expected better considering the price, food is over priced and hotel wanted to charge 50 MAD for a can of coke even though the menu said 20 MAD.

It's my fourth trip to Rabat, and I had to stay at a different hotel this time. Rive hotel. Clean, relatively spacious, and central. A couple of things made for a bas experience overall. First, the noise in my room form a restaurant, pub in the hotel which went on until 3 am. Even though I had been told that the noise would stop at midnight. The second night I couldn't stand it anymore and I had them move me to a suite in the other side of the hotel. Also the second evening, I asked for a recommendation of a restaurant. I was pointed to wards the hotel restaurant, but when I sais I wanted to walk and explore around, I was told uncerimoniously they did not provide recommendations. Overall, a bad experience. In addition, the free wifi in the room was at times extremely slow.

Not good. I don't recommend it. The staff is not direct and they lack transparency. They did not accept my expedia booking and they charged me 120 euro per night not 120 USD as per they online booking. No mini bar to rooms

The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was much smaller than I expected. The room was also dark and dated. The resturaunt was like a cafeteria but the food was quite good. The presentation and wait staff was impressive.

Noise of music from disco in1st floor won't let you sleep. Although I was on 3rd floor, I couldn't tolerate the high sound music up to 4 am. Reception staff need more training. breakfast was awful. Additional (unrecognized) !! fee. IT was only about 15 dollars but they said (your expedia reservation didn't cover and i showed them the massege from expedia that all taxes and fees included but they still insisting to take it !!) in short sentence, Avoid staying in this hotel.

Wow the loud bar noise from midnight to 2 am Was so loud it sounded like it was from room near me but it was from the bar nect door to hotel, it was terrrible i couldnt sleep. Breakfast was very good

bon etat general. Literie confortable, pas de minibar ni de bouteille d'eau dans la chambre ( pour un 4 etoiles). Très très bruyant la nuit; une boite de nuit mal insonorisée se trouvant au rdc, les boums boums m'ont empechés de dormir les 3 nuits passés. Je n'y reviendrai pas. Autre pb: le wifi est certes present partout mais impossible d'avoir de l'internet a partir de la chambre.

Everything was fine. Very pleasant hotel, clean and comfortable room, and internet service worked. Food in hotel restaurant was fine. Only one complaint: Hot food is not kept warm on the breakfast buffet table. Staff was courteous and helpful.

The receptionists were both unprofessional. They do not know the basics of greeting and appreciating guests. The room's AC was not working properly and was noisy more than cooling. No bottles of water in the room, the shower was cold, the safe was locked. I was very disappointed to pay 120 dollars a night for such a hotel that was in the middle of nowhere and had very bad service. I will NEVER go back to this hotel again,
