We had a good breakfast and Omar the valet, helped us every step of the time we spent there. Thank you to all the staff as well.

Cons: I didnt get to have access to ironing for my clothes. Also, I think there is a need to give a bit more attention to details as regards the interior decor and curtains (the curtains in my particular room were old and maybe will be changed soon), same goes for the bed sheets etc.

Cons: Disappointing Experience for the Price – Not Worth It We were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel, especially considering the high price we paid for a room with breakfast included. Upon arrival, we were welcomed at reception and shown to our room — so far, so good. However, our first night was a nightmare. The air conditioning unit was damaged and made a loud noise all night, like a truck engine. Sleeping was nearly impossible, and the room was unbearably hot without it. The next morning, we raised the issue with the front desk and were moved to another room with a working AC. This was appreciated, and we hoped things would improve. The breakfast that day was d very tasty— a good selection of hot and cold items, fresh fruit, cereal, and everything was nicely laid out on a large dining table. Unfortunately, our relief was short-lived. Around 1am, we went to the reception to ask for water, but no one was there. We came back 30 minutes later and still couldn’t find any staff. That was concerning. The biggest shock came the next morning — the breakfast table was completely empty! When we asked the waiter, we were told they don’t prepare a full breakfast when there are five or fewer rooms booked. This was never mentioned when we booked, and it’s completely unacceptable at this price point. The chef eventually made us a very basic breakfast: three slices of ham, some cheese, a bit of bread and croissant, eggs that were clearly reheated from the day before and overcooked, a small fruit salad, a slice of cake, and a yogurt. For the rate they charge, this was appalling. This process took over 40 minutes we started breakfast with half a slice of cake each. The pool is large and clean, which is a plus. But if you don’t have a car, the location is quite inconvenient — far from major attractions. The airport is about 35 minutes away, and Koutoubia Mosque is around 29 minutes (not during peak traffic). Overall, the experience did not justify the cost.

Cons: I never leave negative reviews but I really wish I’d read some about the property before booking because I probably wouldn’t have. Firstly: don’t be fooled by the photos. I booked on the basis of pictures that turned out to be taken in 2011 when the hotel was obviously under different management. The hotel looks nothing like this now. The grounds have been totally neglected, as has the furniture in the common areas. It’s such a shame as it looked so beautiful. All of the fountains have been drained of water and the grounds have been left to wither, it was rather sad. Location: the property is much further than described from most attractions. Would have been fine but it’s described as the Palmeraie area which it isn’t. It’s also the first place I’ve stayed outside the Medina that doesn’t offer a shuttle service. We spent £100 on taxis during our stay. Facilities: I booked because of the spa as described here and on the website. The jacuzzi was drained. I was told it was “under maintenance” which I didn’t believe. Again, a beautiful spa facility left vacant to save money. The sauna was hit or miss whether anyone would turn it on. I had to battle each time to have them turn it on. One member of staff literally lied and said it was, again “under maintenance” and then said “fine, we’ll turn it on”. Once using the sauna, I had to argue for use of a towel. I then wasn’t allowed to leave the spa area with it and had to change into clothes there and then before I could leave. The swimming pool is ICE COLD and therefore unusable. Again, no money spent on heating it so it could be used and not just visible in photos. Food: breakfast was nice but it was sadly understaffed even though the hotel appeared to be full. The restaurant has NO VEGETARIAN OPTION and the tajine didn’t come with cous cous, unheard of in Morocco. We couldn’t quite believe it. I’ll finish by saying I don’t attribute this to any of the staff personally as they seem to be following protocol.

Nothing apart from the waiters they were friendly.

Cons: The manager, Redoane, requested a strange deposit of €1000, which I firmly declined. When he asked if I had cash, I was taken aback, as I had never encountered this request before. I inquired about the alternative if I chose not to make the deposit, and he bluntly stated that I would either need to provide it or leave. I found his demeanor quite rude for a manager. He also claimed he would take responsibility if anything were to be stolen, which was both inappropriate and unprofessional. Additionally, regarding the city tax, I had booked for two people but arrived alone. He insisted I pay for two, and when I agreed to use my card, he abruptly said payment could only be made in cash. This felt sneaky, as I have always been able to pay city tax with a credit card. Lastly, be aware that the rooms are located near the parking area, where loud conversations from the guards can be disruptive. See the pictures below its not as it seems in the pictures they have, Be aware ⚠️ before you book.

The hotel is lovely and in a quite location. Great pool. Most of the staff were accommodating and gave good service. We arrived late as our plane was delayed and we were able to check in at a late hour. Loved their lamb tagine on the night we dined at the hotel !

Cons: The hotel could do with some maintainence and an extra clean as the facilities are well built and some extra care could improve a traveller's stay. Quite disappointed that or bath was not draining water out and the problem could not be fixed and we were moved to another room which was a downgrade from what we had paid for and didn't have a bath. I had especially booked rooms with a bath. The hotel refused to give us a refund as housed in a cheaper room then suggested moving us to yet another room. I must say the staff member we spoke to was quite rude and made attempts to try and convince us that all the hotel rooms were the same contrary to what is described on booking.com and the hotel website. Money aside, a simple apology for the inconvenience caused would have been appreciated.

The property itself was very pleasant, but a little could do with some updating The staff were helpful Breakfast was good, but was actually really Continental breakfast, the only hot things were scrambled eggs and pancakes The food at lunch and dinner was very good, compliments to the chef

Very beautiful hotel area, quiet and calm, very few people, the only nuance is that the airport is nearby, sometimes planes fly by, but very rarely, so this is a very good place for those who want peace and quiet. It's only 10 minutes by car to the center. Very tasty breakfasts.

Cons: The rooms are actually old, but cozy, judging by the quality of the photos, it seems a little different. The nuance is that you can book one room based on a photo, and they will offer you another, we were a little upset about this.

Absolutely idyllic. No traffic noises, hotel was nice and quiet. Staff were very helpful but not overbearing. Rooms were gorgeous. Breakfast was fresh and light, lunches were ideal. Drinks whenever we needed them - and cheap too! Had an incredibly peaceful time. Will definitely be back.

Cons: It certainly isn’t a 5 star! Does need a bit of updating! Sun loungers need changed as ripped! Our room 11 the shower flooded the floor on every use. No tea/coffee in room! The photos are a bit of a let down as rooms certainly don’t look like what you see on the site.

Room was very nice, large with a living area - very clean and every day cleaned extremely well by housekeeping staff Extremely aesthetic riyad with a large outdoor pool and very picturesque in evenings and night-time Pool is open 24h Spa/ Hammam available but we didn't use it - there is no salon though

Cons: Staff never available - multiple people staying there including us would be wandering around trying to find staff outside of mealtime hours. Reception is hardly ever staffed. Compared to other places where on entry, tea would be offered, valet parking service included etc - this is the service expected for a 5* place. No mocktails/ cocktails on the bar menu - just juice, beer and wine. No iron available to use Parking is not free - we had to pay 30 DHR for the 6 days we spent Wifi in the room was terrible but fine in and around the grounds No gym/ fitness area 20 min drive from Marrakesh old town - nothing else nearby (no restaurants, no shisha, no atm) as just off a highway. We had a car but on the highway into city centre there is a police checkpoint and they'll randomly stop you for "speeding" but in reality just want a 200 DHR bribe.

Some staff were friendly and attentive.

Cons: The rooms shown in the description and pictures was not the room we got, the rooms were outside of the villa which were not as nice, no hot water throughout the stay, villa rooms were not so nice, the hotel is quite far from city centre 25-30mins which were costing £20 there and back.

We loved the hotel itself, it was quaint and what we would expect a Moroccan hotel to be. The room was enormous with all the traditional decor. The staff were super friendly and accommodating (except one night concierge who refused us a bottle of water. A waiter who was still in attendance satisfied our request). I have rated our stay quite low due to the location and misinformation supplied. Which ultimately had a negative impact on our holiday.

Cons: The location is dreadful! Middle of no where with no amenities. The description says the hotel is 15 min from Marrakech. It was taking us 40 minutes and €20 per trip each way, per day. This had a big impact on our holiday and our budget. The pictures of the hotel on Booking must be quite old as all the cushions were threadbare and the restaurant flooring was a health & safety issue. The menu is very limited. The breakfast was disappointing, cold coffee and dried up cheese (see pic) I would say this is more a three star hotel.

I like the doorman who helped me a lot finding à parking spot at anytime day or night.

Cons: No Téléphone inside rooms. The only way to contact the front desk is to walk to it. It is sort of any annoying when you have to walk in freezing weather outdoors to talk to the front desk. Also, taxis want customers to pay double the fare to go anywhere. Poor quality food. SPA closes at 5 pm, kind of inconvenient, especially when going downtown and back, no chance of catching it open.

The staff was super friendly. I had reserved 2 suites but they told me they are not safe after the earthquake and the experts do not allow them to accomodate people there so they changed them to standard double rooms, which had nothing in common with these. We were compensated with great dinner. The pool was also amazing.

I would not recommend this hotel at all. We booked this for 5 days & unfortunately the hotel is not as it seems. It is in an unsafe location, no excursions pick you up from this area. Our room looked out onto rubble / rubbish & dirt. The staff did not appear friendly & kitchen smelled. Room was ok, bathroom smelled and not clean.

Cons: It was in a very unsafe location, no safety around the hotel. Miles away from shops to get water etc, lots of homeless people lying on the street of the hotel. Dirty & smelled.

Actually i didn't find anything to like starting from the staff ending with the food that was really sooo poor for its value i can't immagine that we had to keep looking for water that was not there and after we asked we got a bottle for three we were shocked after leaving that they charged us for it 6times its price its unbelievable.

Cons: I didn't like the breakfast it was the minimum of the minimum and not good( baghreer, malwi) was horrible as if i ate it in another country not Morocco. The staff in the breakfast are friendly but the reception people they are unprofessional they are two of them male and female. The location of the place is very bad and far from everything if you do not have a car i don't recommend it at all.

Bon hôtel Personnels très sympathiques Belle piscine Très calme en mi juin 2023 A 15/20 min de Marrakech en voiture (assez rapide route directe droite) Globalement bien si vous aimez le calme, cela donne l'impression d'être dans un endroit privé. the property is very peaceful, the property itself is very boutique and serene, the pool area is stunning and the grounds are very beautiful with all the plants!

Cons: unfortunately the pictures are very misleading, the pictures featured were taken just after the remodel in 2011 and a lot of the things captured in the photos are no longer. the menu is also lacking immensely in any detail regarding allergens and has no description of what anything is. it is also very random and small and there is a fixed price for 3 courses which is a lot of food to consume considering 3 courses is the only option for lunch and dinner. unfortunately this hotel also lacks in good communication through the English language. I felt many times throughout our stay and struggled in communicating with the staff. Furthermore, as for the rooms there was no phone to ring reception to have room service, the duvet cover had chocolate stains on it, compared with the pictures, the room was identical however, it was dated by at least 10 years with rotting wood around the sink, a TV that didn’t work and empty fridge. other amenities mentioned a bar however, there was no such thing, the only alcoholic beverage they seem to have was wine and the occasional beer. The staff didn’t understand what a cocktail was. unfortunately, the location in person seems much further out than displayed on a map. One of the nights we went to Nobu, and although only a 12 km taxi journey, it cost us €40 return with the Hotel Driver

A beautiful building with very beautiful gardens. We wanted somewhere close to the city but far enough to enjoy some quiet relaxation away from the noise and pollution of the Medina. The rooms were very nice, the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was adequate - everything was just as we expected it to be (we didn’t expect much, having read some of the previous reviews).

Cons: Since we set our expectations correctly, we weren’t surprised by the fact that the service was incredibly slow, the installations were somewhat poorly maintained and the food choices were very limited. For our 4 night stay, none of this mattered. Our only complaint was the price of the taxi service in to Marrakech - many hotels outside the city offer a free shuttle - here we had to pay 20€ each way, which is more expensive than European taxi prices for the same distance (12km). One day we decided to share a taxi with another couple and were told to pay double the price, which was not kind. The hotel would be deserving of its four star rating if the level of Moroccan hospitality which we know is so fantastic in this country (it was our 6th visit), were improved at Palais de l’O.

Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights, the look of the hotel was nice and the room itself was ok, some staff were friendly but the service was far below average.

Cons: The hotel is 30 minute drive to the city centre and the shuttle mentioned in the description does not exist instead they charge €20 each way in a car to Marrakesh and when we tried to share the cost with 2 other guests the receptionist was very rude and tried to make us pay double. The food options are very limited and there is no where else to buy food for 3 miles, the snack bar mentioned also does not exist. They even charged for water. Considering how far out it is the facilities are very limited. We spent one day at the hotel to save money on transport and we were very bored the pool is the only amusement. I really feel if some effort were put in this hotel could be improved, e.g. broader food options, separate menu for lunch and dinner, an all inclusive/ half board option. More activities, better arrangements for getting in and out of Marrakesh centre, the receptionist to fix his attitude problem.

The pool area was the only stunning feature about the hotel.

Cons: My room was moderately clean, however the showers made a mess every time you used it and the toilet still smelt like the previous visitors. Not very pleasant. There was also no wifi throughout the hotel especially if you're stay was detached from the actual hotel reception. I didn't like the idea the hotel had only 1 iron for their customers. There was no iron nor ironing board in the rooms you check in to. The menu was very set, and if you don't ask careful questions about the price of the menu (lunch and dinner) they will try and overcharge you. On my check-out, the staff was very poor in service, very abrupt and not very fair. I was victim to being overcharged in menu food price by one of the staff receptionist (Redwin Frez) who overcharged for almost double my stay in price regarding my dinning. Once I realised he tried to hassle me for some money by asking for the receipt, he was adamant to apologies and linked the issue with an error on their pricing list on the excel form sheet format which was a lie. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone looking to have a good experience in Marrakech as it is far from the city and other activities that are available in the city. Be very aware of your surrounding and monitor your spending in the hotel prior to check out to avoid any issues of the staff trying to deceive you into paying more with no adequate evidence or explanation

The property is pretty. It needs a few small improvements as it isn’t completely new anymore. It’s perfectly located if you want to take a break from the busy city or your are own your way to the Atlas Mountains. This was the second hotel out of 12 we stayed at in Morocco that a great beds and pillows. The breakfast was much better than expected after reading some reviews. I would say one of the best we had during our trip. The property offers a great experience in the evening with all the sounds of animals and clear sky. it’s bit far if you want to go daily to the Medina. And the staff is super polite and helpful. They were so sweet and kind.

Palais de l’O is a bit of a hidden gem if you like tranquility, the pool and terraces are lovely and not at all busy during our stay even though the hotel was full. The breakfast served each morning had something to please everyone and ordering lunch or dinner was made simple & tasted lovely. We had a super room with a balcony on the grounds a little distance from the main hotel and close to the beauty salon offering a great massage and the popular Hamman (a must try). Staff were all so friendly and helpful all the time and our room was kept clean daily. We would return.

Cons: There were no complaints only observations. Taking the taxi from the hotel into the Medina and back again was an expense we didn’t think about before our arrival and as there is no other means of travel we spent a considerable amount on them.

I am not one to write reviews o hotels good or bad but I had to speak up regarding the treatment we received at this hotel! When we arrive at the hotel, it looked nothing like the pictures. It was very outdated and clean, dirty old stained garden chair covers, and pool bed covers, the room has stunk of human faeces and the toilet and rooms were filled with flies which was disgusting. There was dust everywhere which affected my allergies a lot. When we complained regarding the smell in the rooms, and the flies. The solution was to put candles and incense, which just masked the smell, it was very choking to my nose and made the smell even worse. We did not feel comfortable staying there for the three nights we initially planned. The hotel did nothing to make us stay comfortable or alleviate the situation or move rooms. We went to speak to the staff to get a refund and leave the hotel, but the manager on the phone was a GREEDY THEIF! Even though we had the right to cancellation, and a full refund and hotel.com backed us on this, the manager still didn’t want to give us our money back and after much convincing we only paid for one night I left hotel as they were not budging. They had also wanted to upgrade us to a suites which was convenient as they I thought they did not have any rooms left in the hotel. But even the suite was still not up to standard and horrible, and we just didn’t want to stay there. Even in the reception, the curtain was ripped it was just a shambles.

It’s an amazing hotel, like a real Arabic paradise! The rooms are very clean and everything seems very new, that’s a crucial point, so well done! Breakfast was exactly what we hoped it will be, proper swimming pool, even luggage service, everything was top! We came by car and had a safe parking spot inside the palais, so don’t need to worry about your car in the night. The palais has relaxing music and even there own parfum that makes you feel on holiday directly. we definitely recommend this hotel to everyone! Thank you!

If you are after a relaxing break and are prepared to get a taxi into the city (which is very cheap) then this is the place for you. Only issue we had is it is getting a bit tired and could do with a referb here and there, but we felt the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff more than outweighed this. We will be going back.

Horrible. Not maintaint at all. Bad “food”. Bad service. No one except one speak English. He is not available when you have trouble. You are trapped in the dessert with nothing. The door to terasse door was broken and someone could just walk in. We were at street level. It will cost you 30 euros a day to go to down town Marakesh to eat real food.

Shocking experience. Definitely not a 5 star hotel. More like a 2-3 star. We stayed 3 hours and booked another hotel. When we asked for a refund they refused and instead offered complimentary stay at one of their other properties which is not very helpful as we will not be returning to Morocco. I would not recommend anyone to stay there.

Terrible experience!! Booked this place for the kids pool and as it said it was family friendly...kids pool was empty, with an open drain in the bottom and uplifting tiles!! Main pool was too cold and deep for my toddler. Disaster for us!! To make things worse, the door handle in our bathroom was broken, when giving our son a bath before bed on night 1, he closed the door, locking all of us in the bathroom!!! It was terrifying - no phone, no windows and hotel was practically empty so no real chance of people hearing us calling for help! My husband had to break the door down to get us out, we were locked in for 30-40mins before we decided this was our last option (bear in mind we had an 18month old in the bathroom with us too!). We told hotel we needed to cancel our reservation and need our money back as they took full payment on arrival, they refused and also charged us for the damage to the door even though it was their maintenance problem that the handle was broken! At this stage we were so upset that our holiday was being ruined we just had to leave so paid a lot of money for another hotel in hopes of salvaging the remainder of our holiday! Will NOT be back!!!

My partner and I stayed here for three days during the final leg of our Morocco trip. The hotel itself is truly a gem, hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It has a beautiful aesthetic, staff was incredibly attentive and helpful in meeting our daily needs. They offer a beautiful breakfast spread at 8am every morning with a ton of fruits, pastries, cheeses, vegetables and the usual coffee/tea/water. We had dinner and lunch once, my partner loved the chicken dishes and I was able to have some great vegetarian options. The hotel is a 300 dirham ride from the airport. When you arrive in Marrakech Menara airport, the taxi line can be extremely hectic so be firm and head to the back of the line. Hotel coordinated transportation to Jardin Majorelle/Medina for 100 dirham each way. The driver was amazing, car exceptionally clean and learned a lot about the country through him. Overall, wonderful way to end our busy travels with some R&R! Highly recommend for couples! Thank you so much to the incredible staff! They even let us extend our stay for no additional charge since our flight didn’t leave until 8pm. You are an asset to the hotel and I hope you are recognized accordingly!

Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, costs 300 dirham to get to medina (and back). The bed was super comfy, bathroom was great but it lacked amenities such as shampoo, conditioner like a normal 5 start hotel would have. Also very small - only about 10 rooms available. Not many staff working so it was difficult to get hold of them - booked a hammam for 12 the lady came at 1:30 and even then started walking in and out. Other than that the actual scrub was great. Also housekeeping broke our door handle so we had to stay in our room until he fixed on a new handle. They moved us to one of their Riads in Medina for half of our stay - NEVER AGAIN. That was a whole story in itself. Guys please if you’re not travelling in large groups or with a man stay away from the Riad - it is literally inside the souks

We arrived and they showed us to a double room, we had booked a room with 1x double bed and 1x single as travelling with my daughter. They then tok us to a small twin bed room, after complaint took us to the room we had booked (3ŕd time lucky). They then informed us that we were the only guests and that the restraunt was closed. Marracech centre about 5 milè away, we had a car so was ok. No reception desk after 5.00pm, no staff except guy opening outside gate, unable to even get tea or coffee. Hotel building was good and clean, but without any staff the service didn't even aspire to poor, it was non existent. Had 2 x beers from the room mini bar in the evening (no option for any other drink in the whole hotel as bar and kitchen not available). Charged 130mdh for the drinks the following day at checkout. I wish the hotel had let us know that non of the facilities, services (staff) food or drinks would be available beforehand. Daughter Type 1 diabetic so this is very much an issue for us. We paid over 100 Euro for a night in a 5 star hotel, with no services and facilities available to us. We were ripped off. The plus point was that they had good secure parking. The breakfast in the morning managed to scrape into the ok category. We are travelling around Marocco, my advice is to use small independant , family run b&b / guesthouse, every one so far has been excellent, and a third of the cost of the Palais de l'O.

Lovely hotel with beautiful garden & pool. Serene & relaxing if you like a peaceful setting some distance from Marrakech (25 minutes away). The distance means reliance on taxis although we had a car.Good quality breakfast & very helpful staff.Small improvements could be made... a kettle in the room would have been good & outside cushions a bit shabby & need replacing. We would return here.

Outside area, pool and rooms are great however, there are some basic things that really need some love and attention. Particularly the furniture inside the dining room and just outside, plus the terraces off the rooms. There was a cushion on our terrace that was literally black which I had to ask several times to be removed. The wifi when it worked was ok, but during our stay it went down for two days - perhaps not the hotels fault but it was a pain nonetheless. TV's in the room made a strange whirring noise when on, also not great if you're from English speaking as all we had was BBC news to watch the whole time. For a hotel that's on its own in the middle of nowhere, you rely on TV and wifi so we felt quite limited in what we could do in the evening. Food choices on the menu were limited, particularly for lunch. Breakfast was ok but it was exactly the same thing every day for 5 days, would be better if they mixed it up and alternated. On the plus side, I would say dinner was very good. We did enjoy our stay as it was very relaxing which is what we were looking for however we wouldn't go back to this hotel sadly.

The property is beautiful - both inside and out. Incredibly quiet and peaceful. The staff went out of their way around meal times - we arrived late and they kept the kitchen open. Likewise we overslept one day but will were given breakfast. Overall, think very charming rather than upscale Vegas hotel. Bear in mind it's about a 20 minute taxi ride into the Medina area. So this is prefect for somewhere to really relax with the odd journey out.

Beautiful relaxing hotel. Room was beautiful and clean, only negative I can find about the hotel is that the outside cushions and pillows could do with a wash!! Staff were helpful. Loved the taxi service which was needed as there is nothing local you can walk to but it was affordable and reliable. EVERYTHING requires a taxi. Food in the hotel was expensive for what it is and there is not much option, so definatly worth eating outside of the hotel!! Very quiet and peaceful which was a real find!! Pool area was the best, beautiful beds which were avaliable all the time and pool was immaculate. By day four we were craving some cooked options for breakfast like poached eggs on toast!! Still a great breakfast with great room service if you want that.

We had booked last minute online and when we arrived the staff didn't expect us. It took a while for them to get into action but after a few phone calls everything was ok and their service was more then excellent since then onwards. I was ill during my stay and they went to the pharmacy with my husband to get medicine and were very helpful trying to translate things to the pharmacist. The rooms, bed and bathroom are also very comfortable.

I found this hotel on Expedia and thought it looked perfect for our 11 day stay in Marrakech and I was not disappointed! The hotel is so beautiful and relaxing. It was slightly further out than I expected (should probably have researched more beforehand) but the hotel offered a car service for 150DIR (£10) each way which was great for us and the driver was lovely! Rooms were really nice and spacious and the pool area was great with the comfiest sun loungers. Friendly staff and lovely food available pretty much whenever you want, also got quite a large breakfast considering it was included in the room price! Only annoying thing was the wifi, the connection really wasn't great around different areas of the hotel but not the most important thing when on holiday! All in all, would happily recommend to anyone!

I stayed 4 nights with a group of friends. The Hotel was fantastic from start to finish: Staff - All of the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Tariq, the hotel manager often went above and beyond to meet our requests. He even organised a candle lit dinner by the pool for our last meal and arranged a spa treatment before I had my flight! The trip coincided with the terror attacks in Tunsia - however, the staff made us feel completely safe. From sending us reassuring emails before our stay to giving us a mobile phone to use! The taxi service arranged by the hotel was a lifesaver! - our drivers were friendly and frequently transported us to and fro activities, the city centre and the airport. Food - The food was simple and tasty. I particularly miss the mint tea, traditional pancakes and beef tagine! All at a good price. Room/Hotel Grounds - Fantastic! The grounds are absolutely beautiful! The attention to detail in the decor is stunning. Not to mention, the large pool and garden! There's even a few peacocks in the garden too! The hotel upgraded us to the best suite in the hotel (went stayed during the quiet season of Ramadan) and it was such a pleasure to wake up everyday to the relaxing view from the balcony. I loved how the hotel almost seemed large house, it meant that the atmosphere was intimate and personable. Please don't bother to stay at a Riad, just stay here! Even though its about 15-20 mins ride away from the centre of the city its well worth it.

This is the most incredible hotel. The staff couldn't have looked after us better. The pool and surrounding area is heaven and the hotel is beautifully decorated. Room was gorgeous - we had a terrace which had views to the atlas mountains. Everything was beautifully clean. Great power shower with endless hot water. Delicious breakfasts and lunches. We took the hotel car into Marrakech for dinner each evening and it was very easy to get hold of the driver to collect us after dinner. We often shared the car with other hotel guests so it wasn't too expensive - usually it's €15 per room one way between the hotel and centre of town which wasn't bad at all! Couldn't have asked for more! It was the perfect calm oasis away from the sometimes slightly overwhelming but fun centre of town.

This is the ultamate hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the marina, a small boutique style hotel perfect for couples to relax, staff are friendly and polite, food is good but limited... We loved this hotel on the whole. Authentically Morrocan. Just a couple of things - the menu needs to have a wider choice. This hotel is quite a way out from the local area do eating in is easier but limited menu. No lite bites or little bar snacks available but they do give you a lovely breakfast and we were never really hungry. Very quiet. Lovely pool. Great if you want to do nothing but relax (nothing there for kids) it if you want to be in amongst the hussel and bussel not the place for you. Overall lovely.

If like me you want a few days relaxing after a few hectic days in the medina than you cannot go wrong with the Palais de l'o, set in amazing grounds this small hotel is a peaceful oasis about 12km out of town. There is nothing for miles so everywhere is a taxi ride to get to, which the staff will organise no problem but taxis are surprisingly expensive so if you to make frequent trips out this could become expensive. But for me it was about getting away from the crowds and relaxing in peace and quiet and this hotel certainly delivers that, each room has its own enclosed terrace which provide shade in the afternoon heat, a big bathtub you could swim laps in to relax after a hard days relaxing! The pool area is amazing, the setting is perfect, and the big double sun loungers are just the best place to be. The restaurant is fine, the food is of a good standard, although the menu is limited and doesn't change from night to night and there are no specials, so if you were here for more than a few days you would probably find yourself wanting to eat out a few times which again would mean a taxi ride. The staff are very friendly and efficient, they all know you by name, they remember your preferences so the whole trip feels very personalised. I recommend this hotel to anybody, I'm glad I spent a few days in the medina first to do all the sights and experience the hustle and bustle of life in Marrakech, and it makes you appreciate the calm all the more

The hotel is quite far away from the airport and it was a bit of a drive out so be prepared to feel like your lost! But once you arrive the staff were delightful, the hotel is beautiful, a little oasis! it was my mother and me and our room was exactly what we asked for, twin room with a balcony. The room had rose petals and fruit platter on arrival! Felt very special! The room and hotel was very clean, the pool was amazing and the sunbeds were lovely to spend a day on! It was perfect for what we wanted with a lovely breakfast, gorgeous swimming pool and relaxing environment. Take lots of books to read!

I originally booked a raid in the old city but changed it to this hotel. Arrived at midday and was in awe of the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, specially Tariq and Mohammed. We were given a mobile phone and were encouraged to use it as much as possible. The gardens are well maintened but rooms are very comforting and relaxing. Tariq gave my partner and I a tour of the hotel and upon seeing the rooms at the back (next to the hammam underground building) we asked to move. Tariq kindly upgraded our accomodation for free! He even arranged for staff to leave rose petals on the bed around the bathtub. The hotel owner was also very friendly and joined us for breakfast and offered advice when travelling to the old city. He even offered us a late checkout (6pm) and didn't us anything extra. Breakfast will keep you going for the remainder of the day as you are given an array of bread, croissants, pancakes smothered with maple syrup and nuts as well as omelettes. The hammam (200 dhirams) was worth it as well as the massage. The jacuzzi and steam room are free for hotel residents. My only criticism is the dinner menu; perhaps offer a different menu from evening to the next. The hotel are in the process of acquiring a shuttle bus but it'll cost you about £30 for a round trip journey into the old city. This was my first (of many) trips to Marrakech and the hotel staff really made the experience enjoyable and relaxing.

Stayed for 7 nights in May 2013 - hotel was beautiful and the staff were so friendly and amenable. The spa was great, I had a massage, a hammam and reflexology and all were excellent, although they charge you to use the jacuzzi and sauna (which is unusual for a hotel) so I didn't use them. The food was very good (especially the breakfast) although the menu is a little limited if you are eating there every day. The pool is gorgeous and the sunbeds very large and comfortable although the canopies could do with a wash. Wifi is free throughout the hotel although it is a litttle patchy in some areas. The bed was very comfy and the linen of a high standard. Unfortunately there is a noisy dog who barks all night next door and woke me up several times although the hotel cannot help this and they told me they have spoken to the neighbour who owns it many times to no avail. The hotel is of a high standard and I would definitely stay there again. I had a wonderful stay!

This was my first trip abroad alone - this small hotel on the outskirts of Marrakech was the perfect destination, all the staff were wonderful and made the stay so relaxing and special, it felt like I had come home. It really is a little oasis in the desert. I left feeling refreshed and rejuvinated, having met some lovely people in this intimate boutique hotel environment. Will definately be back for the beautiful spa, breakfast by the swimming pool, spacious well designed rooms, breathtaking views of the Atlas mountains and the fabulous Chicken & Lemon tagine!
