Amazing experience staying at this gem. Great location and at the heart of the city. This place is beautiful and the pictures cannot do justice to how nice everything is. Then there is the staff, so kind and generous with their advice. Truly a memorable experience, thank you!

We cannot say enough good things about this Riad. The Riad is super clean and beautifully furnished. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The Riad breakfast is tasty and filling. We also ate dinner at the Riad one evening and it was delicious and reasonably priced. The pool is refreshing, especially in the summer heat. We also appreciated that the Riad arranged a late night pickup for us and had a staff member walk out to meet us at the Medina entrance at about 1:00 am. We would definitely stay again.

Great Riad, they arranged pick up from the airport and welcomed us with tea and a tour of the property. The place was clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They provide a map and explain the spots to go in the area. Very quiet at night. Definitely recommend.

The hotel teminds me Thousand and one nights fairytale. It looks amazing, stuff was very welcomming, offered tea, guided me in the hotel and shoved me on the card, whete to go. Receptionist Mohammed was extremely polite and took me with to listen the Berber music. Only little think: the ordered taxi for early morning did not come. But receptionist made sure I get another one.

This Road was stunning lovely location. It I’d important to note that you should organise with the hotel your arrival and departure ahead of time. Whether you come from the train station or the airport you will need to negotiate with the taxi driver. Then a local will need to help guide you and carry your bags to the Road for a fee that you can negotiate. The staff is super friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to support you during your stay. Make sure you stay more than one night to enjoy all the things there are to do and see.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the property for 5 days in the middle of June and loved it. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and always ready to help with any query. Ism was particularly nice. Our room was nice with a good bed and air conditioning - although was on the other side of the room so did get a little warm but nothing too bad. Breakfast is very good and fills you up for hours and the tea is amazing. Location is just off a market street but still quiet and if you're doing daytrips to the desert/atlas mountains then the pickup point is a nearby roundabout. Wifi was a little slow at times but not the end of the world. They had a new tablet system whilst we were there that wasn't 100% working while we stayed but the staff were accommodating for what we were booking anyway. Would recommend the Hamman and massage as well as the cooking class. Had a great time.

Very friendly staff, helpful and great breakfasts. Its down a quiet street just off the main souks going to the famous square. Transport from airport or day trips will drop you off at a roundabout/square very short distance away. Plenty of places to eat nearby, they also do nice food.

Riad Jona in Marrakech is an absolute gem! From the moment you step through its doors, you're transported into a tranquil oasis. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The rooms are beautifully decorated, combining traditional Moroccan charm with modern comforts. The rooftop terrace with its lovely pool – is the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun after exploring the vibrant souks and Jemaa el-Fnaa, which are all within easy walking distance. Highly recommended!

This place was in a great location, walking distance to everything! We felt very safe and the staff was very helpful! They even let us change rooms after we found that the room we had didn’t have a bathroom door instead just a curtain. I really like bathroom doors so they moved us to a room that had one and that was really appreciated! They have wonderful amenities too and I wish we were able to use them more. They were also flexible with breakfast as we had came done late one morning but they still served us. Oh and they made me the best mojito I had while In Marrakech! We had a great time! Will be back!

Typical Riad with small pool and warm tub. Our room was not as clean as I would’ve expected for the price that we paid. The shower does not have a shower curtain or a glass to contain the water so everything gets wet, everything gets slippery. The pillows are super hard and the noise from the scooters vibrates into the early morning hours as well as the hotel staff working into the late hours. I did appreciate the early morning wake up call from the resident canary. The staff are eager to accommodate but left me wanting more. The path to get there is not appealing as we walked past trash and cat poop but once we got there, it was ok. I would not stay here again. The breakfast was okay but you do need to tell them to give you eggs otherwise you end up with lots of bread.

I stayed at Riad Jona for one night and had a lovely experience. Check-in was warm and welcoming—they serve you traditional Moroccan tea on arrival, which is a nice touch. The riad has a boutique feel with only a handful of rooms, each uniquely named instead of numbered, which adds to the charm. The room itself was small but cozy and modern, with beautiful traditional decor. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious enough. They even provide an iPad for ordering room service and accessing hotel information, which was a nice modern convenience. One quirky detail is the room locks—there’s no conventional key system, just a padlock. We weren’t actually given ours and unknowingly left the room unlocked the whole time. Thankfully, it felt very safe throughout our stay, but it’s something to be aware of. Breakfast was traditional Moroccan—simple, fresh, and satisfying. A huge plus: the staff can arrange for someone to meet you and pull your luggage through the souks on a cart. Definitely take advantage of this—it saves you the hassle of navigating the narrow streets with bags. Just note that the riad is about a 10-minute walk from the main part of the souk. It’s a safe walk, but at night it can feel a bit quiet and involves passing through a couple of alleyways, so just be mindful if you're walking alone. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Riad Jona and would gladly stay there again.

Faultless taxi arrival arranged by the riad, where we were collected at end of road into medina and short walk to the riad. Such a great location to walk from, to pretty much everywhere of interest shown on the map we were given on arrival at Riad. Jona Staff were really great with helpful info on things to do. Breakfast was nice every morning, with fresh fruit, juice, yoghurt, toast, jams, baked items and coffee/tea We stayed 5 days and fitted in almost all walking places of interest. And it only takes a couple of days to get your bearings. Every route can eventually get you back to the big square which is minutes from Riad Jona. Nice to have jacuzzi to relax on our riad rooftop ,after a day wandering the city. We had one evening guided event with just the guide and us two. Stopped at about 6 different food trial options in and around the square while getting history about media. Incredibly intricate designs/ornamentation at the palaces and Ben Youseff school. Secret Jardin was interesting to see how they renovated a forgotten area to lovely peaceful gardens. We will go back and next time plan a visit to the Atlas mountains. Everyone was so friendly. We had a thoroughly enjoyable 5 days, and were very glad we had stayed at the Riad Jona.

Just fabulous. Do not hesitate to book this Riad! Really stunning and right in the Medina. It was a bit scary navigating the alleys at 1am to find the riad but we arrived to find it was safe, beautiful and comfortable. It the light of day we found there was nothing to be scared about. The breakfast was outstanding and I loved the little rooftop pool. A huge thank you to the staff who were so welcoming and could not do enough to help.

Reading the TripAdvisor reviews and looking at the photos on the Riad Jona website we were excited to have Superior rooms here. Until we saw them. Please look at the photos I took of my room and see if it's on the same page as the enticing photos on their site. (The photos of the upper outside areas are the only ones I can see are 'right' - lovely spaces). The room was small, beige, shabby, and dirty. Not dirty in the sense that mirrors, sinks etc weren't gleaming - they were spotless - but dirty in the sense that, for example, the rugs looked as if their last wash was Noah's flood and were so grey and stained I did not like walking barefoot on them. Or the grot behind the toilet - plaster drops, mastic etc that needed scaping off. Or the window (with a chip hole through it) with paint or black sealant on the glass that needed scraping off. See my photos. How does this square with the attractive photos on their website and the generally very favourable reviews on here. I can only think that perhaps they have a programme to refurbish the 16 rooms and we got ones on the 'to do' list. I notice that one other reviewer on here posted a series of photos similar to mine - another un-refurbished room? An added irritant was that we booked 2 superior rooms on one booking and were given rooms in different buildings. On opposite sides of the alley. The management and Naturally Morocco recognised how unhappy we were. The riad waived the bill for wine (we had 2 or 4 between us each day) and produced a plate of 3 Briouats which were stellar. We also received compensation. Makes you feel better but we wish we hadn't gone here in the first place. Positives - lovely breakfast, great rooftop terrace space, helpful staff and great location about 8 mins South of the J'maa Al Fnaa. I've been to Marrakech many times. I know that you can't be too 'precious' about things like decor - Marrakech is 'shabby chic'. But the room I had at Riad Jona was just shabby.

We had a room on the ground floor beware if this is you! It’s combined with reception dining tables new arrivals and everyone in the hotel getting their keys on a night while you’re in bed he’s extremely nicer. The room on the ground floor was voiced it and visible size of damp on the walls was also not impressed with the service sunbathing on the roof you had to walk back down for like the stairs to ask for more drinks which they would then bring back up after you drunk your drink. You would then have to go back down for flights of stairs ask for a drink back up for flight of stairs and so every time you want anything. The bed in the bedroom was also super uncomfort and miss shaped. The hot tub was cold so it’s not really a hot tub. It’s just a tub full of water when you get out. You can feel all the grease on. I’m assuming the filter is not filtering very well. Didn’t try the little pool good part the roof terrace is Suntrap and the sunbeds are pretty comfortable but again you will be up and down the stairs every time you want a drink not sure if I said anything to do with Ramadan or if it’s like this all the time

What an amazing place and experience! The staff is unbelievably so accomodating and friendly. The food is excellent, but just be warned it takes time to prepare so if planning to eat in the Riad place your order well ahead of time. The bed felt so hard at first, but there's a reason for this. I woke up every morning without any back pain! The rooms are really unique with unique names, and very quiet. At least ours was, room Doran I think! The Riad has a great rooftop pool to hang around when relaxing. Unfortunately the only drawback is the breakfast is not included like some of the other Riads, other than that everything else was fantastic!

We had a wonderful time at the Riad. The staff is amazing and took care of every request that we had. The breakfast was fresh and sumptuous. Even though it was Ramadan, the staff went out of their way to serve breakfast early in the morning every day. The rooms are well appointed and quite spacious. The pool and jacuzzi were excellent. The riad itself is beautiful and very well located, close to the central market as well as the medina. We will definitely be coming back to Riad Jona next time we are in Morocco.

It photographs beautifully on the website and yes, the roof terraces are lovely. However, if you're going to stay ensure you are given a superior room. We were promised (and paid for) a superior double. What we got was probably one of the worst rooms ever stayed in. Too many negatives to list here. Bitter disappointment. One positive. The staff are charming and helpful. The breakfasts are OK. Lovely fresh orange juice, fresh fruit salad with yogurt. Eggs, if you ask for them. There are also cake type breads. Don't believe the 5* reviews. Those reviewers were probably in superior accommodation. Well, we will know, next time we visit this exciting city, to choose alternative accommodation. Worth mentioning, if you must stay here, ask for a room at the back. Facing the Derb (alley) is NOISY very noisy. Hard beds, which some appreciate. I don't. The plumbing offers an unpleasant throwback smell sometimes. Seriously, it does not deserve its five star rating.

Upon arrival from the airport, there is a 5 min walk via a market and cobble floor to the Riad. As our taxi was arranged via the Riad, they had arranged for a baggage transporter man (unaware to us). The baggage transporter man expected a tip however we we're yet to withdraw local currency and no ATM was nearby so we ended up giving a much larger dedomination in USD. For a Riad of this standard, you would expect the Riad to just charge extra during booking so the tip is included and avoiding these inconviences. Breakfast: Local breakfast served consisting of local breads and spreads. No cereals, eggs etc. We also experienced delays with being served, waiting almost 45 minutes. Location: The location is very good, walkable distance to all the souks. We found it safe during day and night.

Great overall.. breakfast was repetative and had to request eggs and changes. Not a proper morrocan breakfast on offer but did the job. Had the suite which was nice, shower was not powerful. Lock was broken when we checked in but sorted swiftly when raised to staff. Staff were great, attentive and offered a great service. Location isnt completely safe, nearly scammed by locals down the ally, there was a local who told us to go down a very quite alley where money was on the floor. Do not go down that alley and do not pick up money or 5-6 locals will challenge you. No heated pools (hotels.com said they were heated). Also, sort your own transfers as the hotel will have their people who charge more than getting your own taxi. Nearly double. Overall a ok stay but would recommend somehwere safer.

Great spot. Right inside the Medina and close to the main markets and plaza. The staff are great - polite and friendly. They even reached out to me before we travelled to ask if we needed a transport from the airport, which we really appreciated. The price was very reasonable too. The place is spotless, well kept and they do a very tasty and healthy breakfast. There's also a great chill out place on the roof if you just want to take a break from it all. Very happy with our stay.

Great stay - but a couple of caveats. Breakfast is slightly different daily and is a traditional moroccan meal. Staff is fantastic and rooms are clean and inviting. We really enjoyed evenings down by the fire. Caveats are that beds are very hard and the "hot tub and heated" pool are heated by the sun... not actually heated. So too cold for December. We had traditional hamman treatments and massages at the riad. They were all great. My daughters and I were able to have them together why my husband opted only for the massage.

Pros: What an amazing staff body, especially the following men who were so helpful and eager to help: very big smiles and works nights Mohamed; lovely Hassan who knew we loved our English breakfast tea and the VERY helpful Abdessamad. He showed us around the Riad and told us what to check out. Of course the ladies cleaning and keeping the Riad beautiful were lovely but limited English. There were some things that need work in this Riad, but the staff really changed our family experience. Genuine and sooo friendly, I felt like they were family/friends. So attentive and so welcoming. Thank you. Cons: our room’s drainage was so smelly and poor that the water didn’t go down very well. For a stunning place, the drainage system needs fixing. I didn’t realise at the time of booking that Riads are located in small alley type streets, so it’s quiet. I prefer the main road because there’s noise and no alleyways; however, I felt safe. Great location, just away from the bustle of it all. I’d recommend it, no doubt. The staff were exceptional, just unsure about the location but that’s a personal preference.

Service was fantastic. It's a very cool property. Easy to get to and nice rooms. Breakfast was very light but good. As others have pointed out the beds are not great. The hot tub is not hot and has no heater. That was a disappointment. The heated pool was heated to a temperature that would be fine if it was 85f but in the 60s...it's a no. The rooftop area was great to chill. It's worth a stay.

Would not recommend. The only thing positive about Riad Jona is the staff, which is very nice and helpful as other reviews mention. However so many things definitely need fixing: - ground floor room: they heavily sprayed the room in mint perfume when we first checked in and we quickly understood why: by the evening, the room smelled like mold and was extremely damp. When we complained about it the answer we received was “yeah it’s because you are on the ground floor”. That should not be an excuse to make your guests sleep in unsanitary conditions. To make up for the humidity, we put the AC colder, and I got very sick as a result. - cleanliness: in the second room we booked, there was a contact lens stuck to the bathroom sink. Makes you wonder how well they clean. The decorative bed coverings are not being washed by the way. I found other people’s hair in ours, and clearly saw the cleaning lady pick one up from the floor of another room that was being done and she just placed it back on the bed. - Noise: there is very little privacy as the doors are like closet doors and the walls paper thin. You can hear everything from outside the room. - They don’t have a manager on-site or anyone who can make decisions. The only person who can make decisions is Mike and he is located in Spain and can only be reached by email and responds 2-3 days later. Not great when you have an issue that needs fixing. They don’t even provide guests with his phone number.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riad Jona. After a slightly daunting walk trying to find the Riad in the myriad of little lanes we received a very warm welcome at the Riad. All the staff we helpful, particularly Mohammed who looked after us brilliantly. The room was lovely and made up well. The Riad had a lovely calm atmosphere making it a great sanctuary to return to after the hustle and bustle of the souks etc. An excellent central location for exploring the old town too.

First and foremost… the worker especially Hassan is such an asset to this Riad. Very accommodating, gave us recommendations (do’s and don’t), took time to explain and tour us on the Riad. The place is very near to tourist attractions. We felt safe walking around the neighborhood late at night .The place is clean.

It's a great place but my friend accidently booked twice and didn't realise. The manager told him to contact Expedia to get a refund. But then the manager above him didn't approve the refund and after this their service was terrible! Very rude and aggressive. I would only go back for the jacuzzi not the service. TERRIBLE!!

Riad Jona was the absolute perfect place for your Moroccan getaway!! The staff was so kind and helpful at every moment, truly some of the best service I've ever experienced! They even kindly adapted the breakfast for our needs! The Riad itself is beautifully kept and a complete oasis for the bustling streets just outside your door. The only noise you will hear is the birds chirping outside your door in the morning. I would absolutely come back and recommend anyone to do the same!!!

My third party company (Expedia) lagged and double booked a room and the management of this room refused to send a refund. Absolutely a disaster trying to find someone who was in charge as no one was willing to take responsibility. If someone accidentally handed you twice the amount of money in cash to pay for a room, as a hotel (literally the definition of HOSPITALITY), wouldn’t you hand back the customer the money that was accidentally handed over?

We really enjoyed our stay at Riad Jona! From the very first moment we arrived to our check out -- the hospitality and accommodations were outstanding and met every expectation. We arrived late and call ahead to eat dinner at the Riad dining room…it was one of the best meals we had in Marrakech for sure!! The breakfast each mourning was great and tasty and would accommodate all our requests. As many have said before us…the roof top pool and tables are such a wonderful place to relax for drink and quiet reflection of your day. The staff is second to none!! Can’t say enough about Adel and his responsiveness…from getting us new reading glasses from a local store to and recommendations for food, sightseeing and directions and money exchance!! 5-Stars are not enough!! You won’t go wrong in stay here.

Tucked away in a quiet side street just shy of the main market lies the Riad Jona. From the outside it looks just like all the other buildings, but once inside you are transported away from the hustle and bustle of the streets of Marrakesh, and into an oasis. The architecture and layout are quite something. Boasting a small rooftop pool and chakuzi it's an ideal place to relax. The wait staff are very helpful, friendly and willing go out of their way to help you with any issues you may face. Hassan, our concierge was particularly helpful showing us the ins and outs of the city upon arrival. He also helped out with taxi bookings, liasing with our day tour and much more. The room was comfy, well kept and gave us everything we needed during our stay. Value for money 10/10 Comfort 10/10 Location 10/10 Service 10/10 Highly recommended. Jamie.

This was the worse 5 star riad I have stayed for a week and was not moved to a quiet room as requested. The walk to the riad from the nearest drop off point on some cobbled pathways is around 1km away or 10-15 mins walk so don’t stay here if you struggle with your suitcases or bags and it’s difficult to find. I wrote to Mike 6 times (2 months) before arrival asking for a quiet room and got the worse room in the hotel. It was next to the main entrance, staircase, kitchen (smells) and reception office with dining area to the left of the room. This is the case for all the ground floor bedrooms. The bedroom had glass panels above the door with no curtains so expect light to stream in. I asked for this to be covered up with cardboard but was ignored. There was no sound proofing as the gaps on the old rickety doors and windows will let noise in throughout the hotel. The doors are useless and locked by a padlock and can easily be kicked in. The room itself smelt of dampness as it’s open to the bathroom toilet. The shower area is open so water gets everywhere. The water drainage plug hole needs to be shut or you will smell the sewage. My sink tap moves around and toilet rocks a bit. There’s only one hand towel for two sharing a room. The breakfast is the same everyday. The waiter service have been great from Mohammed and Abdel. I would definitely not return as there are better riads or hotels elsewhere.

Very beautiful Riad. When we are coming to the hotel, there were some young men who claimed to be Riad Jona staff. Riad Jona is a little gem tucked slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Jema El Fenaa but close enough to walk there and back within less than 10 mins. The property is beautifully decorated and very clean. It has a little pool, a hot tub and a roof top and three floors with its unique decor to enjoy time at this Riad. It’s well maintained and a very clean place. The rooms were cleaned daily and the staff were always at hand. Hassan, Abdul and Aziz are all assets to this Riad. Beds were super confortable. The room and the Riad in general are really beautiful. The Moroccan breakfast is delicious. We enjoyed a lot the common areas. The pool and spa are really nice and clean. We used a shuttle service organized by the Riad from Casablanca airport. The shuttle provided bottle of water for the (about) 2 hours trip. The driver left us at the entrance of a small road and dropped our luggage in a chariot. Be aware that this is normal as the road is too small for vehicules to pass. It's also an extra small cost. Location is a little bit hard to find but the staff provided us with easy instruction on how to find the place back. They also provide tips on how much taxi costs to go from place to place and where activities are located. I would go back there for sure.
