Riad Kniza was truly beautiful, thanks to its exceptional location in a historic 18th-century setting, which has been wonderfully restored and impeccably maintained. The cleanliness was flawless, with delicate touches such as rose petals thoughtfully arranged throughout the house, in the room, and across the property, creating a refined and welcoming atmosphere. The service was discreet yet attentive, striking a perfect balance, and the Moroccan continental breakfast was simply outstanding - the pastries, in particular, were of superior quality, among the best we tasted during our entire trip to Morocco. The hammam experience was also a lovely addition. We would also like to highlight the excellent location of the property, ideally situated near one of the city gates in a pleasant and safe area of the Medina, making it both convenient and enjoyable to explore. The view from the rooftop is truly superb — especially at golden hour — with breathtaking perspectives over the Koutoubia Mosque and the Atlas Mountains. It was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful views we experienced during our rooftop explorations. We especially appreciated the personal touch from the owner, who kindly greeted us during the first evening of our stay. Thank you for such a memorable stay.
Cons: If we were to offer one small suggestion, it would be to consider adding a walk-in shower, either instead of or in addition to the bathtub, as this may be more convenient for some guests. We stayed in the largest room of the riad, so it is possible that other rooms are already equipped with walk-in showers. Additionally, having a small in-room station with a coffee machine and facilities for tea and coffee would be a lovely enhancement. These are only minor suggestions — everything else was truly wonderful. Once again, thank you for such a delightful experience.

We loved it was close to the airport and Medina. We rarely used taxis to get about and easily walked around. The Road was spotlessly clean, food exceptional and staff very friendly and helpful. The Riad also has a small museum next door dedicated to Morocco, its history and culture ! Well worth seeing.

Le riad est très beau, très bien équipé. Le petit déjeuner est vraiment bon et c'est super de pouvoir le prendre un peu où on veut. Le personnel est très professionnel et le service excellent. La localisation est bien, a l'écart de la zone très touristique donc un peu plus tranquille, mais tout est faisable à pied.

The food was all great, from breakfast to dinner to the little cookies that came with the welcome tea. The staff were all exceptional. The location was perfect, close to the entrance of the medina so you don't need to walk with your luggage for long. The property itself was beautiful, wish we had more time to enjoy it (we only stayed one night).

The sofa in the dining room is so intricate pictures don’t do it justice. the only thing better than the beauty of the hotel is how accommodating and helpful the staff are. Shoutout to the owners grandson for his suggestions, very practical and helpful for my trip.

The staff, property, and food were simply phenomenal. Extremely attentive and caring, the staff were fantastic. The property is exquisite, with tremendous architecture. You can also tell the staff takes extreme care. Our 5 course dinner the first night we stayed was truly wonderful, teaching us about the culture and tasting great. We could not have asked for better. Additionally, the breakfast on the terrace each morning was a great way for my family and I to start the day. Thank you so much for all the care you made my family feel during our stay.

The Riad was beautiful, the staff so friendly and helpful it felt like you were staying in a home rather than a hotel. Our room was huge, comfortable and immaculate. The breakfast was substantial and the evening meals served in the dinning room with the open fire ( it was cold when we were there).

The shower had a limited volume of hot water; The sound from the neighboring room echoed around; Some service requests (like a hamman) were forgotten; And I also had issues with overbooking/category: I've selected and paid a category via Booking, and at the time of check-in I was accommodated in another (I understand overbooking issues, but it would be more considerate to admit the situation instead of insisting that the customer is properly accommodated as reserved)

This is a grand and very lovely old Road in a prime location walkable to major city highlights including the medina. Its sumptuous interior is truly stunning and steeped in history. The room we stayed in was excellent- basic but all you need for a very comfortable stay. The staff were excellent and the food including a huge breakfast especially good. The hotel is literally out of this world and would highly recommend.
Cons: There’s nothing much to quibble about. Our room was a little cold but we had a movable heater and to be fair it was December. You also have to remember that Riads are built around court yards which is part of the charm but means you are in almost direct contact with the elements!

This was our first time in Marrakech and Riad Kniza was everything we had hoped for. The property is beautiful - a very short walk from where we were dropped off. Luggage was carried by hotel staff. Our welcome was lovely, and the room (Royal Suite ) was amazing. We ate both evenings at the hotel and the food was exellent, fresh and tasty. Breakfast was amazing - and enough to keep you going until the evening. All staff we met at Riad Kniza were friendly and went out of their way to help and fulfil any requirements we had. We will definitely return.
Cons: the room was a little cold - but it was December and rainy with temperatures of 7 degrees. Plenty of blankets provided.

Cons: We ate one evening at the rooftop restaurant and the food was excellent. We preselected our main course, but didn't understand that we would be served EVERYTHING on the menu! It was way too much food for us. We would have been happier to have been shown the menu and been able to select just one appetizer ( soup or chicken pastillia or vegetables.) We don't object to the cost, just the waste of food.

Location is very convenient, despite that it is located in the old town where cars cannot stop at entrance. Most major tourist spots are within walking distance. Both dinner and breakfast are great. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Cons: Generally nothing. If it could provide slippers and hair conditioner, this would be more convenient. Also, shower could be slightly slippery.

Cons: Our room was very noisy. We were below the room terrace where they served breakfast every morning. From 500AM we could hear them dragging tables, chairs etc over our heads and couldn’t sleep. The breakfast was very limited and not at all healthy. Our room was also advertised as having a patio, which is the reason why we upgraded, but we didn’t have one. In fact we didn’t even have a window facing the outside of the building.

Nous avons tout aimé. Au Riad Kniza vous y trouverez l'authenticité d'un décor et d'une ambiance marocaine, une terrasse exceptionnelle, le tout au cœur de la médina. Mais ce que vous apprécierez le plus, c'est l'accueil chaleureux du personnel de la Riad, toujours disponible, dans la bienveillance, de la gentillesse et beaucoup de belle attention. Mention spéciale pour Hicham qui nous a fait la surprise de nous apporter un petit café avant de prendre la direction de l'aéroport à 4h du matin.
Cons: Quitter cette Riad pour reprendre le cours de la vie, mais c'était vraiment une belle découverte.

I loved everything. The staff were amazing and welcoming. They helped organise a small birthday surprise for my Mum, I am so grateful. The Riad is beautiful and always clean, and it’s in an amazing location. Breakfast is amazing and you can tell details matters to the staff.

The arrival was made extremely comfortable and easy by the staff, communication was easy and they arranged a kind driver for pickup. The Riad itself is beautiful, an absolute treat, and the staff there were helpful, kind, and very warm, which made us feel at home.

STUNNING from top to bottom. Location is perfect, the lovely staff is SO attentive and kind. We splurged and stayed at the royal suite and it was INSANE. Glorious art, architecture and attentionn to detail. Free breakfast.
Cons: The room AC really didn't do the job and it was HOT at night. During the day it was fine. There needs to be an upgrade there. Breakfast is great for those without any allergies - I am celiac and allergic to dairy. My requests were either forgotten or pretty bad - the GF/DF bread was cardboard. I know that coconut yogurt and nuts are widely available which is a great option vs corn flakes. It was great for my husband - TONS of food, including daily fresh eggs.

One of the nicest riads we stayed at in Morocco. Beautiful with excellent accommodations, hospitality, and service on all fronts. We had dinner at the riad twice. Food was delicious, wait staff was extremely attentive, and it was accompanied by great live Moroccan music. Our room, the superior suite, was beautiful. Convenient location near the entrance of the medina. They sent someone to meet us to help with luggage and directions. Would recommend 100%.

Utroligt flot Riad med meget historie bag sig. Alt var rent og nydeligt og personalet var altid til stede for at hjælpe. Fin sauna og pool og virkelig dejlig terrasse samt courtyard view. Ejeren viste os sin utrolige samling af artefakter og kunst som en mosaik af både arabisk og berbersk historie. Spørg gerne efter at få denne set!
Cons: Gentagende morgenmad som man hurtigt kan blive træt af. Man skal være opmærksom på lokationen er i den gamle bydel inden for muren. Alt er dog sikkert og det var ingen bekymringer. Men hvis man selv er til storebysområder og ikke vil bo i et smalt område, skal man bare lige være opmærksom på dette.

Cons: I chose Riad Kniza based on the glowing reviews and its reputation as a top-tier "luxury" riad. I'm honestly baffled by the hype and left feeling profoundly disappointed and significantly out of pocket. Let's start with the positives, as they are brief. The building itself is beautiful. The traditional architecture and the central courtyard are visually stunning, exactly as pictured. Now, for the reality of our stay: 1. The "5-Star" Service Was Nowhere to Be Found. From the moment we arrived, the service felt cold and transactional. We were ushered to our room with a rushed, rehearsed speech and then largely ignored. Requests for extra towels or a restaurant recommendation were met with indifference. The much-praised butler, Mr. [Name], was more of a silent observer than a helpful presence. It felt like we were an inconvenience. 2. The Room Was a Letdown. We paid a premium for a "luxury" experience, but our room was anything but. While "authentic," it was dark, musty, and felt cramped. The air conditioning struggled against the Marrakech heat, and we could clearly hear every conversation from the courtyard and the room next door. The antique furniture, though pretty to look at, was impractical and the bed was unforgivably hard. For the price, I expected comfort, not a museum exhibit I couldn't touch. 3. Noise and Lack of Privacy. This is a critical point. The riad's design means all sound travels directly upward. Every morning at 6 AM, we were woken by the staff setting up breakfast—clattering plates, moving furniture, and loud conversations. There is zero soundproofing. If you value sleep or privacy, look elsewhere. 4. The Location is a Nightmare. While the medina location is historic, be prepared for a 10-minute walk through narrow, chaotic, and often confusing alleyways to get to the main square. Arriving with luggage was a stressful ordeal, and returning after dark felt uneasy.

Struttura di lusso e dai servizi impeccabili. L’accoglienza al momento dell’arrivo è stata curata nei minimi particolari. Il ragazzo della reception, super gentile, ci ha fatto visionare le varie stanze del Riad spiegandoci i vari servizi offerti e ci ha fatto servire il tipico tè marocchino accompagnato da dolcetti squisiti. Dal momento che eravamo stanchi per uscire, abbiamo deciso di cenare sul grandissimo rooftop del Riad e tutto è stato oltre ogni aspettativa. Il cibo prelibato e il servizio curato nei minimi dettagli e attento. Infine, l’indomani dopo una ricca colazione sempre superlativa, ci hanno comunicato che sarebbero venuti a prelevare i nostri bagagli ma non solo, ci hanno addirittura accompagnati sulla strada principale e atteso l’arrivo della navetta. Riad da 10 su tutto.

Tout était parfait. Le Riad est typique mais en même temps moderne; les chambres sont très spacieuses, magnifiques et calmes. Le personnel est plus qu’incroyable, très à l’écoute, un hôtel familial ou l’on se sent extrêmement bien accueillis, un vrai rêve! La piscine est magnifique, les équipements de qualité, même l’odeur dans le Riad est envoûtante. Le petit déjeuner est merveilleux, riche et de qualité (et typique). Bref, tout était parfait et nous avons des le premier jour ajouté une nuit tellement nous avons aimé. Un immense merci à toute l’équipe!
Cons: Pas grand chose à dire, un petit frigo dans la chambre pourrait être chouette mais cela n’est pas vraiment contraignant.

Le camere erano pulitissime e confortevoli. Lo staff è stato eccezionale: sempre cordiale, disponibile e pronto ad aiutare in qualsiasi momento, facendoci sentire accolti come a casa. Es war ein sehr schönes Erlebnis und das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Alles wurde zu Beginn erklärt und es können auch Ausflüge über das Personal gebucht werden. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und sauber, leider für unser Verhältnis etwas zu harte Betten.
Cons: An der Unterkunft selber war alles in Ordnung. Sie liegt leider in einem etwas seltsamen Gebiet, in dem man sich sehr schnell unwohl fühlt und es streng riecht. Aber nach ca. 5 Minuten Fussmarsch ist das auch vorbei und man kommt an „gepflegtere“ Orte.

Il Riad è semplicemente stupendo: elegante, lussuoso e curato in ogni dettaglio, con profumi delicati che si percepiscono in ogni angolo del palazzo. L’atmosfera è raffinata, quasi fiabesca, e ti fa sentire immerso in un luogo speciale. Il rooftop è spettacolare e fare colazione lì ogni mattina è stato un vero piacere, grazie a un servizio sempre perfetto e impeccabile. Anche il servizio in camera e l’assistenza generale sono stati eccellenti: lo staff è estremamente cordiale, gentile, professionale e sempre disponibile ad aiutarti in ogni momento. Our room,more like a suite, was covered in rose petals and the facilities throughout are spotlessly clean and beautiful. Incredibly decorated authentic Riad. Every tiny detail is a small wonder of Moroccan provenance. Rooms are all original and absolute works of art. I loved that you could have the gargantuan, locally supplied breakfast in your room, in one of the many spacious drawing rooms and alcoves on the ground floor or on the well appointed roof terrace. The pool area and hammam area are to die for. Go on, treat yourself. You deserve it!

The staff were incredibly friendly and the Riad was a little oasis and everything about it was perfect - there were many common areas to sit and read, have tea and cookies, and relax. The pool was a nice surprise and provide an option to cool off with the hot weather. The rooftop had cabanas with amazing views of the medina and we could not resist having breakfast there every day, and the times that we did have dinner, the food was delicious and fresh. Our room and bathroom were spacious and super clean. Staff would take care of maintenance every day and made us feel at home.

The Riad is beautiful, amazing carvings, decorated, furnished and cleaned to a very high standard. It feels palatial with a very relaxed feel. There is a wonderful smell of Jasmine throughout. The owner and staff are lovely. We felt very welcomed and very well looked after. Our room was immaculate, the bed was super comfy, air conditioner, shower, all room facilities worked really well. Breakfast was massive and we opted to eat on the roof which was yet again another well thought out and lovely space. A beautiful Riad with wonderful hard working and helpful staff.

Das Riad liegt perfekt zentral. Bei all dem Trubel der Stadt kommt man in eine Oase der Ruhe. Die Gast Freundlichkeit im Riad Kniza ist überwältigend . Es fehlt an nichts. Super sauber, ruhig und sehr erholsam. Ob Ihr das Frühstück auf dem Zimmer oder auf der wunderschönen Dachterrasse genießen wollt bleibt euch überlassen! Unser Zimmer war 40 qm groß mit einer riesigen Dusche . 6 Meter hohe Decke im Schlafzimmer. Alles wie in 1001 Nacht! Ebenfalls können wir die Massage empfehlen! 1 Stunde für 50,- Euro. Preislich ein Witz und p 100 % entspannend und wohltuend! Im Ganze vergeben wir 10 von 10 Punkten und werden immer wieder in dieses Riad zurückkehren! Vielen Dank an alle im Riad Kniza für 4 Nächte 1001 Nacht ❤️

Just a pity we did not stay for another night as Marrakesh needs 3 full days. Would recommend this venue if you're looking for an experience of the old city, its souks and its people.

Cons: I thought the food was the least successful part of our stay We would have appreciated some choice over what we had for breakfast. Instead the same thing was delivered every day - and far too much of it and too many sweet things. We wasted at least half of it. We had one evening meal on the roof terrace and I found my lamb tagine very disappointing - far too tough and not very tasty.

Die Lage ist perfekt, man kann alles sehr gut zu Fuß erreichen. Man ist sofort mitten in der Medina und es ist trotzdem ruhig. Alle Angestellten sind überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ales ist super sauber und sehr gepflegt. Wir würden dieses Riad auf jeden Fall wieder buchen.
Cons: Ein paar mehr Varianten beim Frühstück wären schön. Wenn man nicht gern süß frühstückt, ist es schwierig.

Total oasis amongst the medina madness. Everything about the riad helped make our stay relaxing and comfortable. Having someone met us at the closest drop off point to help with our heavy luggage was much appreciated! Otherwise it would be a stressful journey through crowds and uneven paths. Welcome tea and snacks by the pool helped us further relax. The riad has several private and beautiful areas for guests to unwind. You can simply listen to the birds or water fountain sounds, enjoy views of the sky and city or relax in the pool and hammam. The whole place is beautifully decorated and an architectural gem. Breakfast time is flexible till noon and staff helped us book several other meals and transfers.

Regna il silenzio e gli uccellini cantano. Una delle più belle esperienze fatte in tanti viaggi. La colazione speciale in terrazza, per non parlare della bontà dei biscottini serviti con il tè appena arrivati. Davvero tutto eccellente Rifanno la camera anche la sera che è un plus.

Well located to all major attractions and everywhere was walkable. Staff were superb and hospitality was warm and generous. The Riad Kniza staff organised everything from day trips to restaurant bookings and all were excellent value. Our room was serviced multiple times a day. I would highly recommend.

Breakfast on the roof terrace was excellent. Best breakfast we have had in our stay in Morocco. Served with style in lovely surroundings. Lovely to have a bowl of fruit in our room. Our room was delightful, tastefully decorated with some lovely furniture pieces. Lovely variety of lighting options available. Despite being located in busy area of Medina, room was very quiet. Staff were all professional, and very friendly. Best stay we had during our three week holiday. Quite expensive, but well worth it, drink prices were very reasonable. Would love to come back sometime

Lovely Riad within the Medina, good location, quiet. There are no lifts as is the norm with most Riads but we had 63 steps to climb to the rooftop for breakfast every day which is difficult if you are not very mobile. Breakfast was OK but they need to know what time you will be having breakfast as they pre-cook the omelette and set up a standard breakfast which is the same for everyone. We would have preferred a La carte. We stayed in a Suite which was spacious and comfortable but the bathroom feels rather old and is in need of renovation. There is a rather deep bath-tub with hand shower and small rain shower, which may be difficult for some people to climb into. We only stayed the one night but can recommend.

Osoblje je super bilo, uvijek na pomoći. Objekt je bio čist i uredan. Svaka pohvala odjelu domaćinstva koje nam je svaki dan pospremalo sobu. Što se ponude samog doručka tiče eventualno bi nadodali i nešto od voća. S obzirom da smo hotel vrlo rano ujutro napustili rečeno nam je da je doručak od 7 sati i da nemaju u ponudi breakfast box. S obzirom da smo mi platili doručak smatramo da bi bilo poželjno nešto ponuditi gostu za ponijeti, ako gost napušta objekt ranije. Sve u svemu riad je ispunio naša očekivanja.

Estadia perfeita no Riad Kniza: toda equipe extremamente profissional, eficiente e muito simpática. Lamia foi muito atenciosa para me ajudar a encontrar o estacionamento, tendo a amabilidade de ir pessoalmente ver meu carro, conversar com o guardador e sugerir um outro estacionamento ao lado. As instalações são espetaculares: o riad é mais bonito do que algumas atrações turísticas de Marrakech e é por si só uma atração. Requinte, bom gosto, modernidade e elegância definem o Riad Kniza. Jantamos no riad e a comida estava ótima, assim como o café da manhã. Recomendo demais e pretendo retornar.

Cons: Ich würde auf jeden Fall einen vom Hotel angebotenen Transfer vom Flughafen buchen, da das Hotel nicht mit dem Taxi direkt erreichbar ist, man wird dann abgeholt. Das Hotel liegt in einem lebendigen Marktviertel ist aber absolut ruhig! Das Morgenessen ist super und wird schön angerichtet, man kann es an verschiedenen Orten, Zimmer, Dachterrasse, Restaurant zu sich nehmen. Ein Fruchtsalat und frischer, nicht abgepackter Käse würde es aufwerten.9

Riad Kniza is a beautiful oasis of calm, perfectly located in Marrakesh. The rooms are beautiful with wonderful carved and painted ceilings, antique furniture, fabulous beds and excellent friendly staff. The courtyards have fountains filled with cut roses and there’s a lovely rooftop terrace on which to soak up the sun and enjoy a drink. The riad has been beautifully restored by Mr Mohamed Bouskri whom we met as is run by him and his family. We were a little nervous before arriving that being within the city walls might be a bit of an overwhelming experience but everyone in Marrakesh is extremely friendly, courteous and don’t pester tourists. Going in February worked well with winter sun and none of the oppressive heat of the summer. We had a wonderful time. My wife and I travel frequently and Riad Kniza is in the top five places we’ve ever stayed alongside the likes of the Oberoi Hurghada in Egypt and Ashford Castle in Ireland. Gerry & Paula

Cons: Le seul petit bémol est le niveau sonore dans les chambres, probablement dû à l'architecture traditionnelle du bâtiment. Malgré cela, l'expérience reste inoubliable et je recommande chaleureusement ce riad pour un séjour magique à Marrakech.

Tout était parfait ! Le Riad est magnifique, décoré avec goût et d’une propreté irréprochable. Le personnel est incroyablement attentionné et toujours prêt à aider avec le sourire. La chambre était spacieuse, élégante et très confortable. Et que dire du petit déjeuner ? Un vrai festin, varié, copieux et préparé avec des produits frais. L’ambiance générale est calme et apaisante, parfaite pour un séjour détente à Marrakech.
Cons: Honnêtement, rien ne m’a déçue. L’expérience était au-delà de mes attentes. Peut-être que certains trouveront l’emplacement légèrement excentré, mais pour moi, c’était un atout, car cela permettait de profiter du calme tout en restant proche des attractions principales.

Cons: Les photos sont trompeuses, l’établissement est vieillissant, la suite supérieure est en duplex et entièrement aveugle (pas une seule source de lumière naturelle) et vraiment minuscule, contrairement à ce que laissent penser les photos. Pour 300€/nuit, vous pourrez trouver bien mieux ailleurs. Je suis vraiment déçu par mon séjour.

Beautiful Riad towards the edge of the Madina in 10/15 minutes walk of the main square. We had a lovely junior suit, staff were exceptional and couldn’t do enough for us. We enjoyed a beer and a glass of wine in the January sun on the stunning roof top which is a calm oasis away from the wonders and madness of the city. We choose to have breakfast in our room and had a hamam one morning too. Overall a stunning Riad, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Cons: The only comment js the lighting is a bit dark in the rooms downstairs as the ceilings are very very high. This can feel a little uncomfortable. There are new fitted plugs in the room for charging devices but they are a bit always to reach.

A balm for all the senses, from the subtle fragrance of jasmine, the tinkle of the fountains & the attention to detail in all the fixtures . We had a lovely late breakfast each day on the roof terrace . Our room was huge and spotlessly clean We availed both of the massage & hammam treatment, which were excellent - the therapist was both professional & friendly . Maar als je Riad Kniza binnenkomt is er rust en een omhelzende serene sfeer. Het personeel is exceptioneel vriendelijk, het is er brandschoon en de kamer biedt alles wat je zoekt in de drukte van Marrakech: een fantastisch bed, heerlijke douche en ze serveren er een geweldig ontbijt 's ochtends.

Il Riad è una struttura tipicamente marocchina, bellissimo e molto elegante, ovviamente pulitissimo. Molto bella la piscina come pure la terrazza, con comodi lettini prendisole ed eleganti divanetti strategicamente messi sotto tende in stile orientale. Il Riad è situato appena dentro la medina, in una posizione molto comoda. Il personale è tutto particolarmente gentile con un'eleganza di altri tempi. Abbiamo avuto modo di conoscere anche il proprietario, un signore colto e distinto che ci ha intrattenuto in una piacevole conversazione. La colazione è molto buona. Direi che ci hanno offerto un'esperienza indimenticabile.

Das Riad ist ein absoluter Traum und eine Ruheoase inmitten einer hektischen Stadt. Das gesamte Personal ist extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer war wunderschön, sehr groß und das Badezimmer wunderbar. Das Heizen über die Klimaanlage funktioniert wunderbar, das Zimmer war angenehm warm. Der Wasserdruck war sehr gut, Handtücher in ungewöhnlich toller Qualität und alles war liebevoll mit Rosenblättern dekoriert. Sauberkeit top! Ganz besonders empfehlen können wir eine Behandlung im Hamam, das war außergewöhnlich! Auch die anschließende Massage war ein Traum. Sogar im Dezember konnte man oben auf den Dachterrassen den Ausblick und die Sonne genießen. Das gesamte Riad ist zu 100% sauber und gepflegt, man kommt sich wie in 1001 Nacht vor - ein Innenhof ist schöner als der andere und die zarten Düfte sind ein Traum. Besonders angenehm war, dass unser Zimmer nicht hellhörig (wie in anderen Unterkünften schon erlebt) war, man konnte herrlich ausschlafen. Die Betten waren extrem bequem. Das Frühstück war gut, es wurde ein Mix aus Süßem und Pikantem serviert und auf Wunsch konnte man von allem nach bekommen. Ganz toll geklappt hat auch der Shuttleservice zum Flughafen, den wir unbedingt empfehlen würden. Mit großen Koffern durch die Gassen der Medina ist kein Vergnügen, hier hilft das nette Personal mit einem Rollwagen! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.
Cons: Die Lage ist verglichen mit anderen Riads vielleicht ein klein wenig mehr abseits, dennoch erreicht man in knapp 15 Minuten den Hauptplatz sehr gut zu Fuß. Keinesfalls ein Grund, dieses tolle Hotel zu verpassen!

Lots of good things: the Riad has beautiful internal decor & a fabulous ambience; good service, friendly staff; good food; good location for walking to most areas of interest.
Cons: As a traditional Riad the property has an open-roofed central area. The weather was cooling down during our stay (December) & got very cold at night & in early mornings. Our room, & in fact the whole property, was very cold - espec at night. No one had explained at the outset that the air con unit in the room was also a heater, so we spent the first few nights uncomfortably cold. Once we complained, this was explained & we were able to use the heater - which DID help a little. But it was still quite cold at night. Also, as a result of the open-roof situation, the Riad became very smoky at night - probably due to smoke in the air from domestic heating & cooking fires in nearby buildings & maybe from the open fireplace in the Riad's dining room (which was lit at night....& pleasant in the dining room). But all the smoke settled in our bedroom...& I have asthma, so this was rather an issue. If we were to visit again, we would choose a time of year when nights are guaranteed to be warmer!

Amazing stay at Riad Kniza, the staff make this stunning property an exceptional stay. We came in early Dec and spent 4 nights here and wow, could not fault it in terms of value for money, and service. This ended up being our engagement trip (I didn't know) and I couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. We loved the flexibility of having breakfast until 12pm as we went and did some exploring before having breakfast on ther terrace in the sunshine after. Roof terrace is lovely, we aren't sure how many rooms there are but we barely encountered guests. We also paid for the 300 dirham hammam experience each on our last day which was lovely and relaxing after exploring Marrakech for 5 days. Saw a review below saying water and iron isn't included, but free bottled water was available at request, even to take out with us for the day and we also got our clothes pressed included in the room fee on request?
Cons: Location isn't amazing its a walk to the Medina and also to the fancier side of town with Nobu and Comptior Darna, but if you like walking its fine. Bacha coffee is only 10 mins away.

Spotlessly clean and delightful helpful staff. Great location in the medina and within walking distance to most of the historic places of interest.
Cons: For the price (£250 a night roughly) I would’ve expected water to be supplied daily in room and an iron to be made available in the room too. These should be basics at that price point. Water pressure was not great but this could be to do with the age of the property and the shower was difficult and dangerous to climb in and out of (over a large bath). There was no do not disturb sign in the room so staff entered often without you knowing which wasn’t an issue, but I think it’s good to be aware at least. I asked for a plaster during my stay but one wasn’t available only a small piece of medical tape.

Cons: There was a giant crack in the ceiling and wall of our bathroom that was concerning. Our hotel room door did not lock properly… it had a padlock that we used when we left the property but when we were in our room, we had a slider lock that could easily be dislodged. Also, there was a slider lock on the outside allowing us to be locked into the room. The entry doors into our room were more like closet doors, they didn’t seal shut all the way and we could hear every noise coming from the lobby. Our room was also internal and did not have any windows for us to look outside, only peer into the courtyard. We felt as though we had limited privacy and that we had to be quiet when people were outside our room. We heard suitcases rolling in the floors which echoed throughout our room. I also don’t recall seeing a pool only a small fountain. The roof top is nice but there is zero view… it’s more just like a patio. The breakfast was ok. Lots of bread and jams. The staff were very accommodating and kind but we felt as though the Riad we stayed at before was much nicer (Riad Noir d’Ivoire). Riad Kniza is in a great location and the man at the front desk gave an amazing dinner recommendation (Azar) which ended up being our favorite night of the trip. Pluses and minuses but the lack of privacy, excessive noise and improper closing of doors was a turn off

Cons: Nous avons cependant été déçus par le manque de tranquillité. La suite junior N°19, où nous séjournions, est à éviter pour ceux qui recherchent du repos. Dès 6h30, le bruit du monte-charge acheminant la vaisselle du petit-déjeuner et les allées et venues des autres hôtes montant à la terrasse se font entendre jusqu'à 10h, ce qui rend les matinées bruyantes et peu reposantes. De plus, nous pouvions entendre les mouvements et les bruits en provenance des autres chambres, ce qui accentuait l'inconfort sonore. Bien que nous ayons demandé à changer de chambre, cela n'a malheureusement pas été possible. Cela reste un beau lieu, mais attention à la tranquillité selon l'emplacement de votre chambre.

Where to start . . . The people: unbelievable. So polite, helpful, charming. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble before and during our stay. The girls on the front desk are absolutely worth their weight in gold, so incredibly lovely. Such a warm welcome every time we entered the building was such a delight. The Riad: beautifully understated elegance,with incredible details. We noticed something different every day. Every single light fitting, the floor is spectacular. Stunning moulded and painted ceilings, luxurious fabrics. Our Room: extremely spacious and comfortable. Fresh fruit and water in the room which is a nice touch. The bed and shower are both big enough for a family of 6 😂 Housekeeping also deserve a special mention, they really keep the whole Riad in exceptional order. Breakfast: was an absolute delight on the Roof Terrace in beautiful surroundings with gentle Winter sun, what a fantastic start to the day. Location: Marrakech is fantastically crazy, we loved it! Mopeds, cars, working donkeys and those on foot all mingling in the old tiny streets within the old city walls. Riad Kniza is an easy 20 minute stroll from the main square, and 20 minutes (ish) from Jardins Majorelle. Absolutely perfect! We would not hesitate in recommending Riad Kniza, and we very much hope to return.
Cons: Marrakech generally hasn't yet engaged in all things sustainability as we might be used to in Europe. I'd like to see less single use plastic bottles, large refillable toiletries and less towel washing! Every time I used a towel it appeared to be replaced. The Riad could do with a little guide in each room as to what is available both in the Riad and in Marrakech. Perhaps the understated elegance is enhanced by the lack of "sales pitch", but we know there was more . . . A fellow guest requested a G&T sitting in the Courtyard, which I imagine would've been delightful before venturing out for dinner. we had no idea that was available as there is no "bar area". Just the little things . . . Secondary Glazing on the Room windows would be a bonus as the courtyard could be a little noisy, but it's just acoustics. Other than that, it's sooooooo peaceful. Just the birdies singing 🥰

First of all, the Riad itself is beautiful. It has several zones to lounge in, from the ground floor to the amazing and spacious rooftop, where we had freshly prepared breakfast daily. But what is truly outstanding with staying at Riad Kniza is the staff and the service they provide. From being helped with the luggage as we arrived in the Medina, to the room being made up several times a day, and the crew at the reception helping us with everything we needed to know and book. It was beyond expectations. Location is also good, as it is a short walk from the heart of the medina (and several sights like Dar El Bacha Museum, Medersa Ben Youssef, Jama Al Fna) and other attractions outside the medina like Jardin Majorelle and YSL museum etc. This is a safe pick!

Very noisy street with a collection of youths (non threatening) literally outside our bathroom window shouting and singing and playing football. Breakfast was very beautifully presented and what was offered was high quality but it was the same every day with no fruit or anything fresh. We ended up going to other places for breakfast for something a bit healthier.

Fuimos a Marrakech a celebrar nuestras bodas de plata. Cuando estuve mirando para elegir el Riad me extrañaba tantos comentarios positivos y pocos negativos en general de este tipo de Hoteles. Me parecía algo extraño y desconfiaba. Pues todo es cierto!!! Maravilloso. Este Riad es espectacular. Bien situado. A dos minutos andando de una de las puertas de la muralla y los sitios de interés los tienes a 20 minutos andando. Al entrar en el Riad parece que entres en otra dimensión. Tiene 5 patios interiores cual más bonito y te invita a sentarte y relajarte leyendo un libro, escuchando música. La decoración es fascinante y de acuerdo a la arquitectura local. Por la tarde noche hay música en vivo pero que no hace más que ensalzar esa sensación de paz. Cada mañana me despertaba con el cantar de los pájaros que volotean por los patios del Riad. Disfrutamos mucho de la terraza desayunando, cenando o tomando el whisky marroquí (te de menta) siempre acompañado de una pastas marroquís. Todo el personal muy atento y servicial. La habitación preciosa. En cuanto saben que no estás en la habitación entran a limpiarla, o prepararte el pijama para la noche o reponer el agua y la fruta. Perece mentira el caos de Marrakech desaparece una vez entras en el Riad. Incluso desde la terraza a horas efervescentes de Marrakech es un mar de paz y tranquilidad.

The whole ambience was really good. It was decorated in moroccan style and it gives us a memorable experience. This was really helpful and comforting. They helped us with everything even stuff that was not their responsibilities. We hope to come back again. The location also was really good. It was near the wall that separates the old Medina and the modern part of the city.

This was an amazing stay. The staff were so hospitable and friendly and went above and beyond to look after me especially as I was staying on my own. Special thanks to Salma and the other ladies at reception - they were absolutely amazing. The Riad is so beautiful and calming and I loved the attention to detail when they cleaned the rooms. I loved that there is a spa service in the Riad and I had my first Hammam treatment and Massage which was so good! Breakfast and dinner, although the same every day, were very good also. 10/10 I’d highly recommend

And breakfast was delightful especially on the rooftop. The stay in general was one of the best during our 2 week trip in Morocco. One of the highlights stays.
Cons: The only downside was the location, it was a bit of a walk to Jemaa El-fna but that is not a fault of the Riad itself. It was still a very nice location.

En primer lugar el trato excepcional, nada más llegar nos invitaron a un té y nos facilitaron mapas con sus correspondientes explicaciones de los lugares que podíamos visitar así como restaurantes o terrazas interesantes por la zona. A demás nos ofrecieron excursiones, aunque no pudimos coger ninguna porque íbamos con el viaje cerrado. El riad, una fantasía, tanto las habitaciones como sus instalaciones. Ubicación perfecta, ya que está en el límite de la Medina por lo que tienes todo cerca y te pueden recoger casi en la propia puerta. Volveremos seguro.

BIG thanks to each and every one of the staff members. Brilliant work. Your kind and caring approach made our stay enjoyable. The hotel is in medina the very heart of the city. Amazing facilities, comfortable beds, the breakfast was superb. I honestly could not have wished for more, everything was just great.

Riad Kniza far exceeded our expectations, even though these were already high given the photos provided on Booking.com and elsewhere we found the Riad far more beautiful in reality. The craftsmanship of the tiling and carving employed in the floors, walls and ceilings in each room and courtyard was some of the best that we have seen anywhere, and together with the attention to detail involved in selection the furnishings meant that there was something interesting to study wherever we looked. We had a wonderful fresh and varied breakfast on the roof terrace every morning, which included both the usual staples as well as some local items. All of the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful and really made for a very relaxing stay in extremely palatial surroundings.

Nous avons aimé tout d’abord l’accueil Qui a été impeccable et très chaleureux. Tout le personnel est extrêmement gentil et à l’écoute. c’est très très agréable, et on ressent une ambiance familiale et bienveillante. Aussi, On se sent en sécurité dans l’établissement. C’est un havre de paix où on peut se reposer car il y a plein de recoins, des patios très agréables ainsi que la piscine qui est magnifique. L’hôtel est très propre, le personnel c’est la chambre deux fois par jour, les sols sont laver tous les jours, les patio extérieures sont impeccables et la piscine aussi. Les petits déjeuners sont délicieux et nous avons dîné le dernier soir au Riad, et c’était le meilleur repas de tout le séjour à Marrakech. Un grand merci à tout le personnel que nous avons vraiment apprécié ! Liz, Timeo et Floreal

This place has all the right ingredients to make you feel in paradise. The staff is lovely and always going the extra mile for you to feel in paradise. The owner of the Riad is a lovely person who checks if everything is going fine (more than once, and does that because he values a happy customer). The rooms, the patio, the pool, the rooftop, all sparkling clean, with amazing fragrances, beautiful decorations and a lot of plants with birds happily living in harmony. You leave the buzz of the Medina to enter into a calm, small paradise and you feel like you just had what you needed to feel good. Many thanks to all the staff for being so helpful and lovely with us.

Spectacular hotel -- an exquisite and authentically Moroccan sanctuary. Beautiful rooms. Lovely facilities, including a pool. Breakfast is substantial and beautifully laid out at individual tables on the roof garden terrace. Dinners were best we had in Morocco. Attentive and helpful staff. We will return!

Breakfast was great, more than plenty and delicious! Location was ok. Certainly not easy to find or see and inconvenient for taxi access to its entrance, although it's great staff's prompt service more than makes up for it! Hey! It's the Medina!

Questa struttura ha un fascino incredibile e viene gestita con tanto amore. Persone preparate volonterose sempre con il sorriso e pronte ad aiutarti. Mi dispiace che si possa dare solo 10 perché per me il Ryadh merita molto di più.

Un posto fantastico dove tornerei con grande piacere. Tutti i servizi , possibili ed immaginabili, location molto buona, staff eccellente e molto disponibile, colazione sul tetto una favola. Carino il benvenuto in stanza e le stanze in se molto comode e ben attrezzate. Posto intimo, accogliente e curato nei minimi dettagli. Molto consigliato

One of the best, most authentic accommodations I’ve ever stayed in. The staff at Riad Kniza are wonderful, making you feel so welcome and so at home. The Riad itself is absolutely beautiful and every day we were discovering new hidden gems. We even got to meet the owner, Mr. Mohammed, on our last day and he was just so warm and lovely and he took the time to show us around the museum he built (just opposite the Riad). Would absolutely recommend Riad Kniza for anyone staying in Marrakech!
