Personal was really friendly and easy going. I had to book on short notice, it was quick and without any trouble. The service was great and it was easy to contact the personal and they were quick to help. They speak close to perfect English. The room was clean, well prepared and enjoyable. Location is great, in between Bahia and el Badi Palace. Wifi is good. The breakfast is served on the roof terrace and was great quality. Overall very enjoyable stay.

Cons: The bathroom is a bit small (in the one person room) and there is no kitchen.

The male staff member met us at the taxi drop off point was polite and friendly.

Cons: We arrived at a riad that was run down and behind a maze of alleys ( we understand that). We were give an entrance key which just wouldn't open the front. There's a 'knack' to opening it but thats not easy i can tell you and we had to ring or pm them to come open the door. Our room was tiny and freezing cold, they did supply us with an electric fire next day which was plugged into the bathroom plug. Was so tiny I now know what a police cell must be like., dark and dingy. Ive never had to sleep in a hoody and blankets over me anywhere. Bed was as hard as nails. We were asked for £25 ( plus taxi fee ) for the tourist tax which was supposed to be £15. All paid. Bathroom was freezing cold. You open the bedroom door ( locked with a bolt and padlock ) and there is a wall approx 2 foot high then a drop to the floor downstairs, not safe at all. Im sorry this really is awful and certainly NOT a 7 out of 10 on booking.com

The staff were very helpful and polite. The breakfast was good. The location is good.

Cons: One of the bedrooms at the top of the stairs is not fit for guests, due to damp and poor bathroom facilities. There air conditioning was noisy. With a little upgrading the Riad could be very good.

The location is good, the staff is very accommodating and friendly, it’s very clean, the water pressure is good and so is the hot water. The bed is also comfortable and it’s in a quiet area.

Cons: The bathroom is tight. It’s about 12 ft.² with the shower toilet and sink in one room. You essentially have to sit on the toilet lid to take a shower and order to do so comfortably. There’s not a lot of storage in the bathroom, but it’s best to leave your towel outside as well as the toilet paper when you shower because most things in the room get wet. There’s no mirror in the bathroom. There’s not a lot of storage in the bedroom either. We stayed for nine nights, so if you’re there for a shorter period of time and have less luggage, it may be more tolerable.

While the location and staff of the Riad are great, there are a lot of things that could be improved. I didn’t realise it was a sister-riad of another down the lane (this is where you will need to go get your breakfast). The main door did not lock properly as well as the door to my room. Sockets were coming off the wall, damp, there were bugs in the shower and the pressure of the shower itself was abysmal. I did mention it to a member of staff who said they would check it but it was never done. It’s also at the end of a lane which walking at night can be intimidating. Additionally, because there are two riads, getting breakfast is difficult as a solo traveller since all tables are taken up. Overall, it’s an ok value for money considering the location and if it’s a very short stay, but there are way better riads in Marrakech for the price.

The location was fabulous. Practically next door to Bahia Palace and a nice steady walk through shops and restaurants towards the main square. Or by the main road which came out close to the square or closer to the main mosque. Many nice restaurants very close Frequent taxis passing by easy to access without booking in advance Breakfast was good. Slight variation each day. Filling and fresh. Was served literally across in a beautiful Riad in their inner courtyard. Light and airy with gentle music playing in the background. You were able to leave your luggage at the end of your stay at no extra charge. Staff were very welcoming and friendly

The location was great and the staff was very friendly and supportive.

Cons: This is not related to the Riad itself but if you care about animals and specifically cats, please try and get since cat food at a Carrefur supermarket and feed them once in a while. There are a lot of BABY STRAY CATS in really bad condition that need food and water and every small gesture counts. It was the second time I stayed here, this time I took a better room. It was very good and clean, the shower was better and I had some shelved to put on some clothes. Breakfast was very delicious. I had to go to the other accommodation, which is not far. The only problem was that they all were on the rooftop so when I knocked or ringed the bell, they didn't hear it and nobody came. I had to shout their names so they would come and open the door. It was not a big deal for me because I know them. But if you don't, or are a bit shy, I can imagine it would be annoying.

Cons: When I was here the first time, the WiFi worked perfectly. This time there were some issues the first days. After a couple of days, Latifa took care of it and it worked perfectly again.

We felt so much welcomed and “home”that we extended our duration there - They are also amazing chef as their breakfast was so delicious! We highly recommend this place and Marocco in general; it has been an incredible and touching journey that everyone in life should experience, a special trip for your soul!

Cons: everything was perfect

The staff (Zack and I think it was Fatima) were very friendly. They arranged an airport pick up and took me to a small shop when I wanted to buy some drinks. You can have dinner at the Riad, which was very good. The breakfast is rich. The room was clean and big enough although it could use a cupboard (only one coat rack). I got a map of the city which was useful. The location is in a quiet area, but with a lot of monuments nearby.

Cons: The room didn't have proper windows, only wooden shutters. The people in the other room on the same floor were smokers, so the smoke also came into my room. This is not a big issue, but it bothered me.

The staff is ok I like them

Cons: I booked a room for a foreign client. The staff was nice; they came out to meet me in the parking lot and guided me through the maze to the accommodation. I couldn't say anything bad about the staff even if I wanted to! They were kind and helpful. Then came a problem: the air conditioning didn't work, so the room was cold - as it usually is in Marrakech during February and March nights. My guest reported this, and after they couldn't solve the problem, he had to move to another room. The next morning, they sent a message asking us to return to the accommodation as soon as possible because the room to which my guest had moved would be occupied by new arriving guests! Okay, we went back to the accommodation, and after asking the staff what we should do, the manager arrived about 15 minutes later. This return trip to the accommodation, which took about 2 hours out of our day, was not planned and we did not want to waste that time! They offered a third room, which my guest no longer wanted to accept - and I understand why! At this point, they reported to Booking.com that we didn't show up! Therefore, I paid in advance - because the accommodation required it - we spent one night there, and I couldn't even leave feedback since the accommodation marked us as "no-show." I had to specifically request Booking.com customer service to send me an option to leave feedback. The place was filthy, stinky, with crumbling walls and accessible through a dark maze of excrement. I travel to Morocco regularly, and this was perhaps the most unpleasant place where I have accommodated my guest. Breakfast, which was off-site, was found in another location after walking out of the Riad. It is worth comparing the Riad's Google reviews, as it received about half the rating...

Just the person at the reception: Yousef. He was really nice and helpful as I arrived sick.

Cons: It is not nice what I will say but honestly the whole thing with the owner of the property wasn’t nice. I booked my stay for 7 nights which I just stayed for 1 night as I was sick and have to live the day after I arrived. Going to Marraquech during winter isn’t not recommend it! The Riads/hotels are really cool at night. I arrived 3 days before and did a trip before getting to this Riad and I got sick because of the cold. As I was sick I asked the owner to refund part of my money if possible. At the end I stayed only one night and he could rebook the room. I found it fair to ask for SOME money back. He said he will pay back the money after a month because he didn’t have the money etc. I waited, one month later I wrote him and he said I have to wait 10 more days. Time passed I wrote again and he never answered me back. I am mad because of the lies and the playing game. If from the beginning on he would have said: no money will be refunded- of course I will find it unfair but it will be honest. But saying one thing and doing another one is nothing that shows good matters and values. I won’t book that property again never either will recommend it. Really disappointed. Also booking didn’t help in this regard either. When you are sick and face this situation you realize how much of humanity we have lost along the way. Sadly!

It’s a cute small Riad with a decent location in the old town. The singleroom is fine for short stays. The shower is a little bit tiny, but it’s not a problem at all. The staff was really nice. I felt really welcome when I arrived and Mohamad was there to follow me to my room etc☺️. Defiently worth it.

I have no problem with humble places, but it has to be reflected in the prices, but more importantly, it should also be well described. The location was good. The people from here are ok, service was ok. The facilities are really bad, you can feel the springs of the mattress and it hurts, the pillow was so hard, I think it was full up with clothes. There was no shampoo, the place was really dusty and the towels were dirty and had a weird smell as well as the room. The hot water was not working. There is leaking from the pipes in the bathroom. The room could not be safely closed. And during the night the lights come inside the room and it is quite bright. This is under the consideration that I was moved to a "better" room because the "Riad" was empty at the moment. The pictures of the place could be very misleading. I would not stay here again.

The property was great! It was very close to the square as well the Bahia palace; making it very convenient for us. The property was clean and well kept! With the beautifully painted walls and paintings, you could truly feel the Moroccan culture. The staff would also light up incenses throughout the day giving us the full Moroccan experience. What my family’s favourite part of this Riyadh was the staff. They truly have the best and most caring staff that we have met. They made us always feel like we were always at home. They went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met. Just exceptional. It was very difficult leaving them, as within a few days, it felt like that had become part of our family.

Cons: I have no complaints regarding this property. Only good things to say !

Staff is made of 1 young boy, very helpful. Fortunately he "upgraded" me.. i cannot imagine the state of the room i had supposedly booked. Location is near Bahia Palace. Breakfast at 8 was good, just in time to go to the palace opening at 9.

Cons: Don't know where to start. Concrete floor. Broken cheap plastic toilet seat, Aircon remote was broken so it wouldn't switch off (and that's the newly refurbished part of the riad!!). Dying sick kittens in the allyway confirmed, but that's basically true for everywhere in Morocco. Entrance seems the one of a garage/basement (small metal door). Same owner of the While Flower up the road, you need to go there for breakfast. The owner does not respond to messages.

Riad Car Lfonoun is super quaint, tasteful-looking and strategically located in the old Medina. The staff is friendly, helpful and respectful.

Cons: The neighbourhood, albeit central, has many Moroccan men trying to make a living by following and trying to scam tourists. This is obviously not the hotel's fault, but should be kept in mind.

Cons: As a single female traveler- this place did not feel safe. Pictures and listing are very very misleading. For starters- the room is not lockable once inside. Big yikes and therefor did not sleep well bc I was very anxious. My bathroom did not have curtains and there was windows that gave direct access from shower/toilet into main courtyard. I was assured “no one would look”. STRESSFUL. The location is incredibly unnerving. It was incredibly smelly on the streets and you have to take these winding twisting alleyways to get to accommodation. Taxi can not drop you off. Did not like: Locks on doors. Beds. Bedding. Lighting. Location. Accurate description.

Walid , the young guy working there , was very friendly and helpful. He also speaks great German. I stayed at the Meknes room where the bed was great. The heater managed to keep the temperature at a tolerable level. Breakfast at the nearby White Star Hotel was good. I enjoyed the quietness of the place. I booked 2 tours with the front desk. The tour to Essouira ( actually more a shuttle service ) was good.

Cons: There was an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. The tour to Ouazarzate was more a tour to Ait Bin Haddou , what is a really interesting place. In Ouazarzate the driver gave us 15 Minutes to visit the town !!! He wanted to bring us to the Cesar movie studio where we were supposed to pay 80 DH and to spend one hour. Nobody from our group wanted to go there as everyone wanted to have more time in Ouazarzate. We had an argument with the driver that turned into shouting and screaming in a threatening way. Absolutely unprofessional and the worst behaviour that I have ever seen from a driver of an excursion !!!

The guest house is right in the medina, near the entrance of Bahia Palace as the crow flies (but on foot you have to walk around to the main road).

Cons: Check-in and check-out were disorganized. The proprietors are not physically at the guest house -- at a nearby property, rather -- so I was waiting outside the apartment for 5-10 minutes before they checked. Similarly, the morning of check-out, I was unable to get a hold of the proprietors, so I guessed and waited as long as comfortably possible simply left the keys in the room.

Cons: Riad is not easy to find on gps. At all. So it's important to a tourist who goes for the first time in Morocco to understand how to reach the little street of dar Lafnoun. When arrived, I had to pay three people who helped me (help on payement) to reach the structure. After that, Manager suggested me to bring my rented cars in a parking lot near to the riad, and I lost track on where the right street, I had to pay another two guys on motorcycle to arrive to the parking lot. All of that costed me the equivalent of an entire extra night in the riad and i got very ungry. That's unfair and in the evening in the dark of Medina could be scaring for a family in the first visit in Morocco. This was my fourth time there and I was prepared but I suggest to solve the problem with precise indications. Manager is a good guy, very welcoming and caring but this is something must be solved.

Very good location in the center of the old town - Medina, traditional riad where you can feel the real Morocco located in a small street with a wonderful cat family always playing around the street, very quiet, spacious tarrace at disposal, every day great breakfast, even earlier if needed, two extra added and delicious dinners, very polite and helpful staff as well as the host - Abdul ! He arranged everything we needed, wanted to see or buy: transfer from/to Menara airport, Moroccan mobile card, fantastic two days excursion to Sahara, to Zagora desert including overnight stay in Berber's tents with dinner, music and ride on camels, great sightseeing along the way through Atlas mountains and several very interesting destinations, visit to local Herboristeria in Marrakech with certified local, organic, famous argan oil, other cosmetics, herbs, spices and way more, gogrgeous traditional Hammam spa treatment etc. Whatever we asked or wanted to know better including history, georaphy, culture, some customs, languages (including Berber language Amazigh/Tamazight), local cousine... Abdul was always there with smile. We felt very good and relaxed despite very busy sightseeing schedule. We recommend highly !

Nothing about this property was appealing or enjoyable. It was a filthy Riad that looked nothing as pictured on expedia website. No amenities were available such as towels, soap, shampoo, heat, wifi, etc..

The guy that greeted us was named Jamal. Jamal said to ask him for anything, that he was there to help! My sons room on first floor stayed smelling like sewage—all day everyday! On the last day of our stay, I gave Jamal 200 dirhams to mail a package for me to another city in Morocco! The package has never been mailed! We were supposed to be served breakfast everyday; but we had to walk to another raid to get it! There were no wash clothes, no towels; paid for two double beds but only received single beds! I have been calling Jamal for a week and he sends same picture of post office saying that he’s mailing package. (Price to mail was on 25 dirhams—I gave the rest for his troubles). Lord have mercy—don’t let them line up a tour of Sahara either! What a cluster that was! We where supposed to have 4x4 for desert but ended up with camels the whole time. Paid extra to have better stay and we ended up sharing a tent with a husband and wife (there was a divider thank god!).

This Riad was an amazing find. The staff treated us well and Jamal, acted as our tour guide in Marrakech making sure no one took advantage of us because we were foreigners. It was a good place to stay and I recommend anyone to stay here.
