The Riad was gorgeous, exactly what you imagine. An oasis of calm in the crazy labyrinth of Marrakesh. We loved the staff, the rooms, the breakfast and the spa. We had dinner the first night which was delicious. The hotel arranged direct taxi collection from the airport and again on our onward journey to our next hotel. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Would highly recommend.

Cons: When we first arrived we found the walk through the little streets down to the Riad a bit daunting - but a staff member came to meet us and help us. He gave us some welcome guidance about orientating ourselves and which side of the road to walk on to avoid oncoming scooters!

We loved the beautiful courtyard where we had a delicious breakfast each morning. The room was beautiful and very quiet at night. Very comfortable bed and pillows. We had both the hammam and a massage which was very relaxing after being out in the madness of the markets. The staff were very friendly and so helpful.

Cons: Everything was perfect.

Beautiful inner courtyard and really nice roof top terrace. Both managers, day and night, are wonderful and committed hosts and it is because of them I am giving an 8 and not a 7. Location is good.

Cons: Noise from the inner courtyard, average to below average repetitive breakfast (with small changes), hot tub that isn’t particularly good if it worked but it doesn’t work, incredibly small rooms (yes I chose what was available but they are CRAMPED) and the shitty, lumpy mattress.

The staff couldn't do enough. The riad was so beautiful and peaceful and it was nice to relax in the courtyard or on the rooftop terrace at the end of the day with a beer or a glass of wine from the riad. The riad is in a good location, only a few minutes walk away from the Bahia Palace and El Badi Palace. The rooms were all unique and beautifully decorated.

Cons: Could not fault the riad on anything at all. The location on google maps, apple maps, and maps.me were wrong, but we were shown to the riad by a kind local.

The Riad was immaculate and very homely. All the staff were very polite and couldn’t do enough for us. It really did have a relaxing/tranquil feel and very personal.

Cons: Like all Riads there is a walk through some rundown areas to access. But this shouldn’t put you off, felt very safe and was all part of the experience. It really is an oasis within the craziness of the markets and medina.

This is a perfect retreat in the Medina. On arrival, we enjoyed a hearty dinner of Tagine (one veggie, one meat). Our room was clean and spacious. The location was down a lane but super easy to find. Thete is a lot of construction in Marrakech, but this shows the fabulous investment in the city. Once inside the Riad, it is quiet, calm, the most beautiful courtyard where you have breakfast. The staff ate super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

Cons: Las camas un poco rígidas igual entiendo que es así en todo Marruecos, Cuidado mujeres que viajen solas, si bien el hotel estaba bien ubicado para llegar tenes que caminar 150 mts por una callejuela. Riad Flam & Spa was an absolute gem. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina, it felt like a peaceful oasis the moment we stepped inside. The host was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good. Would have preferred more choices but was decent. The location (in the heart of the Medina) is ideal as it allows you to reach various parts of Marrakech on foot. The Riad itself was quiet and clean. Overall, highly recommended.

Issam and his team were excellent, Issam went out of his way to make our stay comfortable, he was very helpful and did his best to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the AC was excellent. The breakfast was good. Late check out was given which was great and most appreciated.

Cons: Construction and work was going on during our stay which was very disturbing and created a lot of noise, vibration and dust. This was not pleasant. The hot water stopped during our showers and stopped working in our sink. There needs to be water bottles placed in the rooms everyday which did not happen. No tea coffee facility and no kettle in the room.

Fantastic location, we were lucky enough to have almost the whole hotel to ourselves as we stayed in the off season. Room was lovely, with fully functioning air con. The rooftop terrace and hot tub were also really good.

Great staff, very diligent, attentive, and prompt to respond to all our needs. Hussein was above and beyond excellence! Breakfast was delicious, and a large variety of cooked on-site yogurt, omelets, fruit, cakes, bread, delicious coffee, milk, juice, mint tea, cheese, pan cakes, etc. Wonderful building architecture and ample room on the ground floor with safety box and A/C. Great water pressure!

Cons: All Riads in the center of Marrakech aren't accessible by car. So, you have to walk to the nearest access point for vehicles to meet your tour driver. Inconvenient and sometimes confusing as where to meet, walk, and also you can get mixed up with other tours. Be aware and DO NOT move from your meeting point. Tour people are good contacting you by WhatsApp.

I went into this trip thinking RIAD was some chain of hotels (like Hilton, etc) but was happily surprised to realise it was an architectural style oh homes in Marrakech. RIAD Flam was an absolute dream. It is inside the Medina and perfectly distanced from the Jema al Fnaa (main marketsquare) to not be a hindrance to get to in and out. The decor and design of the RIAD was stunning, I had no idea that the outer facade was hiding such a gem inside. Food was excellent and the spa services we partook of were fantastic and we were extremely happy. The staff were able to help us with bookings for excursions which we thoroughly enjoyed. I have to leave a special note for the Staff that made this stay what it was. Issam, Hussein and the ladies in the kitchen and spa were incredible - courteous, friendly and attentive to our needs. I felt sad on our last day because I would not be able to spend more time with this lovely group of people. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. To anyone reading this review, I highly recommend this RIAD. We will be coming back and staying with them for sure.

My teenage daughter and I enjoyed a fabulous stay at the Riad Flam & Spa. Great location with only a short walk to the heart of the medina, wonderful friendly staff who make you feel comfortable and take care of all your questions and make the stay so easy and special. The Riad itself is stunning with a beautiful courtyard. We stayed in the top suite which is one of the most unique and sumptious rooms we have ever enjoyed. Absolutely gorgeous with large bathroom and sitting area, excellent closet space and easy access to the gorgeous terrace with Medina views. We. especially want to thank Issem who made us feel so welcome and offered such friendly hospitality which was appreciated given that we were two Canadian females travelling in Morocco for the first time. We also enjoyed a massage at the Riad Flam which was very special. WE highkly recommend Riad Flam. & Spa. It exceeded all of or expectations and was great value.

A beautiful Riad, staff were lovely. Lunch was prepared for us on arrival which was about £20

Cons: We weren’t overly impressed with breakfast, the same every morning. No Tea or coffee facilities in the room, no water in the room either. for the price these little things would have made a difference.

Staff were exceptionally helpful and kind, nothing was too much for them. They were always smiling and happy to help with anything and everything. A very special shout out to Hussain and Issam who went out of their way to accommodate all our needs and wants with always a smile on their face. The Riad was a short walk from the Jewish square which was very convenient for transport to activities.

Cons: There should be more iron available, we were occupying 9 rooms and there were only two irons available so at times we were waiting to get it. Can’t really fault them for anything else other than that, they were amazing.

The Riad is very quiet, yet a 10 min walk from the main square. The rooftop breakfast with the sun rising was a treat and having a bar and jacuzzi open at night time was a lovely bonus. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

Cons: I had a laundry bag left in the room for me to take back after the trip, which disappeared. Staff were questioned based on the possibility of it being taken away to be laundered by mistake. The onus was left that perhaps I had taken it away when leaving the Riad - I think that I would have known that.......

The Riad was extremely comfortable and well located to walk to the Medina and Souk markets and Restaurants.

Cons: We loved the Riad, and just one point would be to light the fire in the main lounge in the mornings ( as at this time of the year it can be quite cool). In saying that, we were fortunate that the weather was warm enough to have breakfast on the roof terrace on a couple of occasions.

The Flam and Spa is a beautifully designed hotel with a lovely serene feel due to the natural materials of stone and wood. The workmanship of the wooden decorations are gorgeous. I have not seen anything like it elsewhere. The hot tub was a very nice addition to enjoy and the staff couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here and would highly recommend. Quite area but minutes from the main streets. Our room which was one of the suites was stunning and the included breakfast was varied and delicious with fruits, cake, pancakes and eggs with coffee or Ming tea.

Cons: Nothing it was lovely.

The Riad is beautiful, like a little sanctuary in the middle of a bustling city. The staff is amazing and go over and beyond to make you feel comfortable and like at home. Thank you to Hussain and Issam for your hospitality. The riad is situated in a narrow street and a bit difficult to find therefore I would recommend booking the airport transfer via the riad, especially if arriving in the evening. We had the option with breakfast which was lovely and very tasty. We also ordered dinner on our first night as arrived late in the evening, it was delicious as well and the service was top notch.

Cons: Everything was perfect. The only minor thing would be the privacy of the rooms situated downstairs, the doors come out directly to the courtyard which makes it a bit strange at first. But this is probably the nature of all riads.

The riad was like walking into an oasis of calm and tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle outside. The reception staff were amazing and could not do enough for you. On arrival tea and biscuits were served, we were then shown to our room on second floor Linham double. We stayed breakfast and half board, breakfast was fruit, bread, muffin’s homemade crepes jam honey marmalade coffee and orange juice. Evening meal was different each night, no choice but food was fabulous chicken and vegetable tangine, chicken and couscous tangine, meatballs, chicken skewers, beef tangine, Moroccan salad, zaalouk, briovat samosas and cakes and ice cream. You can have evening meal if not booked half board prices in euros. Local beer €7 33cl or glass wine €5. The courtyard is very tranquil and there is a rooftop sunbathing area with beds and towels and jacuzzi. There is a spa room you can book external treatments from. The last evening had some awfully rude Nigerian ladies who treated the staff with no respect and disturbed our peace but thankfully they did not stay, verbally abusing the really polite and friendly staff which was not acceptable. Location is near Bahia Palace and Place Mellah. Great value for money.

Cons: The alleyway walk to the Riad is undergoing a lot of building work due to the earthquake and was quite dark in the evening but we had no issues.

They were especially helpful with advice and setting us up with hiking guides and a 4 am trip to the airport. Breakfast was delicious and the one dinner we had made us wish we'd stayed for more. A magical experience in the heart of Morocco My stay at Riad Flam & Spa was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment I walked through its doors, I felt like I had been transported to an oasis of peace and charm in the middle of the vibrant medina. This riad not only offers a serene retreat, but also encapsulates the authentic essence of Moroccan culture, with an attention to detail that leaves you in awe. Charm and authenticity Every corner of the riad is exquisitely decorated with traditional elements: from the handcrafted tiles and colorful mosaic lamps, to the carved wood details and Berber textiles adorning each room. My room was a haven of calm, spacious, bright and with that personal touch that makes you feel at home. Exceptional customer service The staff was extraordinary, Issam is an excellent host. Always ready to help with a smile, they offered local recommendations that made our stay even more special. From handling reservations for excursions to arranging our airport transfers, they went out of their way to make every moment perfect. An oasis in the city The inner courtyard was the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the medina. Each morning began with a delicious breakfast, which included freshly baked bread, homemade jams, fresh fruit and aromatic Moroccan mint tea. The views from the terrace, with the city at your feet and the mountains on the horizon, are simply breathtaking. A perfect place to enjoy the sunset. A perfect location Located in the heart of the medina, the riad is only a few minutes walk from the souks and the main tourist attractions. Despite being in the center of the action, the atmosphere inside the riad is calm and relaxing, offering the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. In short, if you are looking for an authentic Moroccan experience with the comfort of a hotel, Riad Flam & Spa is the ideal choice.

Haven't been to many Riads but this is certainly my favourite and will book again if in town. Very quiet but central still. Facilities were great, the room was spacious and clean, breakfast was awesome - so was the lunch/dinner if you opted for it. The staff was amazing, very supportive and attentive e.g. I needed some balloons for my gf bday and didn't know where to buy so they just organised that for us. Overall very good vibes, felt relaxed. The staff were so friendly and helpful with great communication at all times via WhatsApp. They were great booking us restaurant reservations to some great restaurants in the city. You won’t get more friendly and better people. The breakfast was great too and you can have it at whatever time suits. The location of the Riad is perfect, just inside the Medina, so in a great location to access the Bahia Palace and the shops and restaurants in the Medina.

Cons: Our confirmation message from the hotel stated we had booked a standard room instead of a Deluxe Suite…I questioned this but was assured we had a deluxe suite. When we arrived at the Riad I suppose you could say we were given a suite as there was a bedroom, living area and bathroom, behind a door saying Private! But there was little natural light with only windows in the roof of the lounge area which was really a lobby to a staircase to the roof. This was not the room we expected considering the photos we had seen on booking.com and looking at the other rooms when we were in the Riad. We asked to change rooms and we were shown the only room available, which was a standard room, so we swapped. The room was nice but not a deluxe suite room that we had paid for. We didn’t let this ruin our stay but it was disappointing. we would return to the Riad and hopefully we will get the room we request.

I am very happy that I found Riad Flam, and I am very pleased with how they treated me as a guest! The staff, in particular, were very friendly and helpful! A great breakfast that started the day perfectly, leaving me satisfied and full! I enjoyed sitting on their rooftop terrace in the evenings, watching the sunset and the stars! I can recommend it! The terrace also works well if you want to sunbathe during the day. The first room I got on the ground floor was not quite as I wished, and the staff were immediately helpful in finding a new room the next day. The room I got upstairs was very cozy and nice! Great location too, to be able to walk to practically all the sights in the area, with many good restaurants and markets nearby too! I can definitely see myself coming back!

Cons: The rooftop terrace could have had a bit cozier lighting in the evening, even though the stars are the best illumination, but sometimes there can be cloudy evenings too :) The rooftop terrace could also have had more umbrellas! I thought the pool would be somewhat bigger and more private, but it's basically located in the lobby, so it never felt entirely comfortable or peaceful to be in the pool among other guests coming in and out of the property

The evening staff member was an absolute gem giving us local tips about Marrakesh! Couldn’t thank him enough! Provided gluten free breakfast- although very dry but they did accommodate. Location is good- quiet side street and easy access to main tourist attractions. Felt safe.

Cons: Owner asked for city tax on check out when we did not have any remaining local currency. This meant we were given an awful exchange rate (euro to Dirham) to pay via card (not possible to pay in euro which is the currency of the city tax) and also a 3% card fee. This was not mentioned to us until we were almost getting in the taxi which left a sour taste in our mouth and was an awful end to the holiday and made me cry (pregnancy hormones). I strongly suggest the owner remind guests of this in advance of check out or ask for payment on arrival and to guests to bring euros for the city tax/ exchange locally to avoid this in future. The property is currently undergoing roof maintenance so there is no pool on the roof which we expected. Bed was very firm, bathroom doors did not close or lock, shower doors did not close properly. No bin in room. Generally needed a bit of maintenance in the room. Normal breakfast was fine but not particularly varied especially if you were there for more than a couple of days. Stayed at other places in Marrakesh with much nicer breakfasts. Waited for 2.5 hours to check in as our room was being cleaned. Had the owner said it was going to take some time we would have gone out for lunch and returned to check in.

I had such a magical stay, what a beautiful Riad in a great central location. I was a solo traveller and Issam did his best with guidance and assistance - i felt very well looked after. Its a little oasis in the middle of a very chaotic city. My room was very large and beautiful, breakfasts were great and the whole place had an air of calm.

Cons: There wasn't anything to dislike and i would return! As a solo traveller (young and female), the alley the riad was based off felt a little hairy at night, but you wouldn't notice this as a couple. Would have been great to have tea/coffee in the room.

Being centrally located in the old town of Medina in Marrakesh was a prime motive. Though in the old town the location is very quiet and peaceful but very convenient to many great tourist spots. The staff was extremely helpful and always available night and day. Breakfast was very good with an assortment of fruit, yogurt, coffee/tea in addition to crepes and light cakes with the option for eggs prepared to your request. We also enjoyed a hamman at the riad.

Cons: Nothing.

We absolutely loved our short stay! The staff were all so polite and dealt with every question or request we had with the utmost care. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to explore Medina from the Riad and we were immersed into the Marrakech/ Moroccan lifestyle and culture. Being so close to the Souks and restaurants made it a great experience which allowed us to navigate the area very quickly.

The Riad is exceptional, very beautiful, safe, excellent cleanliness and facilities and well located. The attention of the staff stands out especially, they do everything possible to make your stay a unique and very pleasant experience. To highlight the service provided by ISSAM, to which I have to especially thank them for their management, I left a very important amount of money and documentation forgotten at the hotel. ISSAM has done everything possible to locate me and return my belongings. He has managed it with special interest. I have felt as safe and cared for as if I had been in my own home. Thank you very much ISSAM.

Beautiful and authentic Riad, right in the centre of Marrakech! A short walk to Bahia Palace, various souks and lots of great local restaurants. The room was great, the hammam was lush, the breakfasts were fantastic… and the staff were so so kind. Generous with their time and expertise. They got up early to make us breakfast when we had excursions booked, they helped us book trips to the mountains, and they offered plenty of tips and advice when we asked. Can’t rate them in particular highly enough!

Cons: The property charges above average rates so I would expect above average amenities. There were no bathrobes in the room and were only provided upon request. A very beautiful Riad in the heart of Marrakech. It takes you 20min walk to the Djemaa al Fna und 20min ride by car to the airport. The staff is extra ordinary friendly and helpful. Everything was nice and very clean. The breakfast was very good - no buffet - they bring everything to your table.

Cons: The bedroom was quite small.

The service at this riad was welcoming, and genuine. The staff are multi-lingual, knowledgeable, open, and enjoy a good joke. They went out of their way to provide us with information and recommendations - they were possibly the highlight of the already great hotel! The riad is located 10 mins walk from Jemaa et-Fnaa, next to Bahia Palace, so everything is only a short walk. The riad has a pool downstairs (which we used everyday, given the 43+ deg heat). There was another pool on the terrace (which has a great view!) but it was being renovated at the time of our stay. The rooms were clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were filling, and changed a little every morning with what was served. I would highly recommend this place, and I would definitely go back again next time I visit. My thanks again (from me and my sister!) to the staff at the Riad Flam and Spa for such a wonderful stay!

I stayed at here for 1 week in July in a very spacious room on the first floor overlooking the comfortable and picturesque courtyard. Room - very good Air con, strong Wi-Fi, smart TV. Treatments - had a hanmam and massage in the treatment rooms both were very good after a day of exploring the medina. Location - perfect - 5 minutes walk and you are in the main square and practically neighbours with the Bahia Palace Staff - excellent Hussain and Hisham can organise everything for you, trips, walking guides, restaurant bookings. This team live and breath Marrakech I had a very good time at Riad Flam and would recommend it to anyone.

felt home the moment we arrived. Staff are the most professional we ever encountered in our trip to Morroco. Smiling, kind and responsive all the time. We can’t tell how welcoming they were. The Riad is nicely designed, well taken care of different spaces. The rooms are spacious and well decorated with wood of cedar , everything is placed in good functional way. The materials used in the rooms are all of high quality, from mattress to towels to even shower gel. Breakfast was delicious fresh with a plenty of choices . The massage and the hammam were also brilliant after a long trip to Agafay desert superb dinner I will definitely come back highly recommended .

This Riad is probably the best Riad I've stayed at. Staff are friendly, welcoming and available 24/7. Very clean, quiet and cozy in the heart of the city. The on-location spa and hammam was good including the jacuzzi. Overall, felt relaxed here because of the cleanliness and staff. Breakfast was always enjoyable, you have birds as your natural alarm. Rooms were vert clean with modern ventilation, especially when Marrakech is 40 deg C in July!! The property location is a walking distance away from Jemaa El Fna, close to Bahia Palace and close to the medina. Isaam, Hussein, and entire staff were fantastic. Will stay here again. If you are looking for a hotel alternative and get to know the locals...STAY HERE! The spa/hammam and dinner package is VERY reasonable.

The riad is beautiful. It is a tranquillity from the hustle and bustle of the medina and markets. our flight was delayed and we arrived very late but the driver was patient and kind, and the staff at the riad were super helpful. From the moment we stepped into Riad Flam, it felt like a home away from home. They went out of there way to make us feel welcome, help us book reservations, give us tips and directions etc. The breakfast and mint tea was typical Moroccan food, and the fresh orange juice is AMAZING!!! The location is amazing, right in the middle of old town. Located right beside the palace, and less than 10 minutes from the medina square. I wish I had enough time to use the spa, all the treatments sounded amazing. I can’t recommend Riad flam enough.

Cons: The pool on the rooftop was closed for cleaning. Not a big deal but would have loved to be able to use that during our time.

There are no words to express the warm hospitality of all the staff. They make you feel welcome and well taken care of even before you land in Marrakesh. They organised a transfer from the airport with an Italian speaking driver, they put petals on the floor for my mum’s birthday. The breakfast is varied and delicious, the dinner typical and absolutely to try, the massage a must. The Riad is an oasis of tranquility from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets of the medina and is just 10 mins away from the main square. We will always take with us your warm smiles, your friendly manners in un unforgettable beautiful Marrakesh. Thank you for making our stay one to remember. Loads of love from Italy.

Cons: The Wi-Fi is sometimes not very powerful inside the room but not a problem outside in the garden. But this is a blessing because it is a holiday and everyone should RELAX!!! Make the most of this gorgeous place and staff.

Location was excellent, very central. We booked two rooms, one was outstanding, the other was not what we had booked and was very disappointing.

Cons: Of the two rooms we booked, one privilege suite and one deluxe suite, the deluxe suite was not as advertised and think this was an apartment to accommodate staff or families. It was not worth the rate that was paid and had no amenities such as safe or fridge or toiletries and had no view of the courtyard nor a window. Very disappointing.

Beautifully decorated Riad with ornate cedar and marble, comfortable courtyard cane armchairs and salons for dining, and quality solarium lounges and rooftop spa, makes this an idyllic haven in the middle of Marrakech medina, complete with Hamam, massage room and a restaurant serving delicious Moroccan tagines and cakes, for an all inclusive total relaxing experience. The location is perfect, really close to everything. Reading the reviews I was nervous about the ‘scary alley’ to get to it. Its fine, a bit daunting the first time but after that its ok plus the team at the Riad will walk you in and out if you want. Definitely get them to arrange a pick up from the airport. The staff are wonderful! Book excursions/ restaurants/ taxis through them. You get the best places! If you are thinking of going to Agafay Desert for camels, quad, dinner & show, book it through these guys, they work with a local tour company and we had the best time. The guys running the Riad , Issam, Hussain and Briham are so helpful and a great laugh. They make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble. It has a lovely chill vibe. If you have time, have the hamman and a massage. You will thank me! Its also absolutely beautiful and the ladies who come in to clean are really good, its spotless. Thank you all for making our time in Morocco amazing :))

Riad Flam was one of the highlights of our trip to Marrakech. The courtyard is tranquil with cosy corners in which to sit and relax, eat wonderful dinners, mint tea and Rose wine! The bedroom was clean and spacious with fabulous ambient lighting and wonderful walk-in rain shower. Issam, Lahoucine and Ibrahim are the most wonderful hosts, they helped us with airport transfers, luggage, restaurant bookings and made us feel like guests of honour!

We had a lovely stay at Riad Flam and Spa. The team couldn't have been more welcoming, kind and helpful, huge thanks to them for being such wonderful hosts. The Riad itself is beautiful. Our room was clean, had a lush shower and comfy bed. The breakfast included was simple but yummy and a great start to the day. We also ate one night in the Riad which was delicious!

Cons: Honestly, we loved staying here, but if we were being picky, renovations were happening when we were there so there was some noise during our stay and the hot tub was out of use one day as it was being painted. The furniture in our room was a little tired (but all still usable). Please don't let this put you off though!

The property is an absolute charm and very well located (about 15 minutes walk from the main square and a couple of minutes from the Bahia Palace). The staff warmly welcomed us and gently accommodated our requests. Moreover, everyone provided practical information about the city and was always available for any needs or just for a little sweet chat. Breakfast was delicious and served in the indoor salon situated on the ground floor . There is also a beautiful rooftop where one could take advantages of the sun as well as the jacuzzi, when the weather allows it. Our standard room was well heated (underfloor heating) and nicely decorated with a beautiful bathroom furnished with a walk-in shower and all the useful amenities.

Having stayed in many Riads throughout Marocco this one was on the high-end, even in Marrakesh there are many many similarly attractive properties at same price point. 1. Hamam was 150 Dhr per person even for hotel guests! We booked not a service but self scrub in Hamam. That is excessive as we are already paying a lot for the riad. I thought it should be free for hotel guests. Of course I understand that additional services by therapists would be payable. 2. The breakfast was one of the weakest of our 10 day journey. 3. The roof terrace looks in need of maintenance. Plus nobody refreshed the towels of previous guests from when we arrived at 4pm to when we left at 11am. So I never felt we could use it and saw nobody else. 4. Our bed linen was very soft but completely torn in 2 places. Overall, I felt it was a shame as the place is gorgeous but it seemed to lack strong, motivated, happy staff and management. Some photos below.

Everything was perfect: welcome, spa, hammam ... the rooms are all very nice and the hotel was very clean. The food is also great. We had lunch in the riad as soon as we arrived in Marrakech. It is an oasis of tranquility from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. A heartfelt thanks to all of you.

Location was good (tho would be hard to find if an initial airport pickup is not arranged with the Riad). The staff were good, especially the manager. Evening meal (if you order the night before) was good, and substantial. Reasonably comfortable overall.

Cons: This Riad was ok, but I suspect that many Riads are better, with lower daily rates, so you should shop around and study reviews and photos. Our room was dark with no window, so a little depressing, especially in the morning (but we guess this is common in Riads). No kettle in room, so we took our own, and the Riad happily provided milk for our teas and coffees. There was no fridge, but they brought us a minifridge. Toiletries limited. Wifi is variable; quite good in the day, very flakey or non existent in the evening, which is frustrating. There is a TV but only shows Netflix films (no good for us, we would prefer a TV with International news channels). Breakfast is quite basic and repetitive, though they'll do an omelette if they have some eggs. The roof terrace is ok, but there is no view out over Marrakesh, as is common in other riads. At the moment (long term?) there is a construction site at the end of the street, with a noisy cement mixer running most of the day, and intermittent banging and shouting, so not as peaceful for sitting out as we hoped.

Cannot fault the staff or the quality of service at this Riad. Nothing was too much trouble. It is kept very clean and the room cleaning service is excellent. Breakfast is very relaxed being served between 9-11am. Fruit salad, yoghurt, breads, cakes, conserve, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee or tea. I am Coeliac and I was catered for with my own morning bread, although i went off it after a couple of days just due to repetition and opted for omelettes instead which were delicious. The Riad itself is very well presented and decorated. It is very traditional with some quirky additions like buddha statues - some great furniture We did not choose to utilise the hammam or spa at the Riad as the respective rooms were very small, preferring to visit a dedicated facility - so i cannot comment on the quality of treatments. We ate at the Riad Once - having a traditional chicken tagine - this was simply and traditionally flavoured - tasty and enjoyable. There is no menu, just have a chat with the manager Mr Kalif or Issa (may have spelt wrong) the night manager and discuss what is available. Listen to their recommendations on shopping or restaurants - it will probably be the only place you will be given genuine advice without there being an ulterior motive (if you are used to travelling in such countries you will know what i mean) There is a roof terrace with day beds a shower and a jacuzzi - do not expect this to be hot - it is cold. We welcomed this, but another guest did not - i cannot imagine why in 36 degrees you would not want to cool off but everyone is different. It is a 5 min walk or 10 min slow amble to the square and souks or equally to the palace. You are literally right by a taxi rank 2 min walk, so its location is the best i have had to date. The rooms are lovely, we did have to change room (see below) but the second room the bed was actually more comfortable and it had a chilled floor - amazing. Each room has AC. It has a TV but these do not work.

Cons: OK - so this is not a criticism per say, but just honest reporting. The AC in our room (on the top floor) was not working properly and for the whole time we were there there were workmen on the roof above banging and knocking, which was maddening. OK we could have been out all day, but this is our 3rd time in Marrakech and it was as much about chilling in the Riad as being out, we were there for 7 days. We were kept out of our room for a whole day while they dismantled the bathroom unit, only to be told it was finished at 6pm, then finding out it still didn't work and having to change rooms. - pack up and unpack. We should have just been moved that morning really. The first day we went on the roof terrace and there were no umbrellas. They soon arrived but 2 of the 3 bases were broken, so as we were laying on our loungers 2 workmen were angle grinding, banging and arc welding 2 bases back together within 3 metres of us. This is not forgivable really. These should have been taken away and fixed somewhere else. I work in construction so I spent pretty much most of the week being subjected to just more building work noise. I genuinely think they do not realise about the impact of noise or that some guests need some quiet escapism at the Riad - and this should be sacred. One last thing, every morning until 11am there was a scooter parked in the beautiful Riad courtyard right next to the lovely plunge pool - I did not enjoy having breakfast feeling like i was in a car park. This should not be allowed. If they could take these advisories on board - it should achieve 5 stars for its grade.

Great breakfast every morning. Fantastic location and very easy to visit many of the main tourist sites and attractions the city has to offer. Room was comfortable and large. The ability to have a choice of two plunge pools was an added bonus.
