The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was good. The Riad is truly beautiful and you can tell that there was an attention to great detail in the decor and style of the Riad that transported you into another world. The location was great in the heart of the medina.

Cons: The wifi was not reliable. We also found a cockroach in the bathroom but we were also in the middle of the medina so this may be a bit expected. On our last night though, there was a power outage and our adapters that were plugged in were all over surged and could no longer be utilized causing major inconvenience during the remainder of our trip.

The décor of the riad was beautiful and had a lovely authentic touch. The housekeeping and reception staff were professional, kind, and multilingual, which made communication easy.

Cons: However, the service overall was disappointing. Breakfast had very limited options, and the owners were not as professional as expected — they tried, but their communication was weak and not helpful. There were also ongoing repairs happening day and night, which created constant noise and made the stay uncomfortable.

The hosts were very welcoming, the riad was exceptionally clean, and the interior details were beautiful. The breakfast was excellent, and the pool, though small, was charming.

Cons: We stayed in mid-November, and the ground-floor room felt a bit damp, but the hosts offered a heater right away, so it wasn’t an issue and didn’t affect our stay.

Beautiful rooms and a gracefulness of design such that each space about the property relaxes and delights. A quietness and sense of space in every area of the Riad makes it a wonderful escape from the frenetic pace of Marrakesh. It has a small number of guests I think and you are not constantly seeing others. For us on this trip this was great. It might not suit those wanting to link up with others.

The place is absolutely stunning: one of the few cases where you actually get exactly what you see in the pictures. The inner patio, the breakfast room, the stairs, the roof terrace - everything is gorgeous! The bedroom was also beautiful, with an incredibly comfortable bed, pillows and linen; the bathroom was super clean and spacious and the shower was just perfect - which I know can be a challenge within the medina. The whole thing is an oasis of tranquility, and the little pool was a blessing in the scorching heat. The location literally could not be better: simultaneously inside the medina and close to its edge, it allows you to both walk to most main attractions (5 minutes to Bahia Palace, 12 to Jemaa El Fnaa, 15 to Place des Épices, 20 to Madrasa Ben Yousef...) and quickly step outside the wall, in order to take a taxi to more distant sites like Jardin Majorelle. The staff was super sweet and discrete. You hardly see or hear them, but everything is perfectly taken care of.

Cons: Breakfast was tasty, but it could be improved, namely increasing the variety of fresh bread and fruit.

Very nicely decorated, neat riad. Lovely pool on the highest floor. Beautiful big windows and a very stylish bathroom. The man taking care of the riad was very polite and helpful. Overall lovely riad.

Cons: Although I assume it might be connected to the old building installations issues I believe that for the price we paid there should be a TV in a room or a possibility to iron your clothes (they don't allow to do it yourself, you have to pay them to do it for you). Breakfast also could definitely be better, when we were coming almost everything was gone and nobody refilled the plates until asked for a specific product by another guests.

Mohammed was the best host! He was so attentive to our needs and was great at giving us suggested restaurants, as well as booking a private taxi for us. We arrived quite late, and mohammed took us to a local rooftop restaurant which was fab. The hotel is clean and architecturally stunning. The rooftop is the perfect place to chill on a hot afternoon, and the pool is bigger than photos suggested. Breakfast was varied with eggs, omlettes and pancakes as options, with fruit etc. We loved El Morocco and host Mohammed. He made us feel at home!

The Riad is a traditional courtyard building within the Medina in Marrakesh that has been tastefully restored. There is a very clam oasis in the centre of the building that is such a contast to the hustle, bustle and noise in the narrow streets outside. The rooms have retained many original features and are comfortable. As the rooms face into the central courtyard filled with greenery, you are not disturbed by the noise in the streets outside. There are roof terraces at different levels where it is very pleasant to sit, some open and some under traditional canopies.

Cons: The wifi connection within the room.

This is a stunning ‘safe haven’ in the medina. The staff are incredible from morning to night. The design and interiors are perfect. The bed is extremely comfortable. The spread of food put out for breakfast is delicious. And the location is perfect, it’s close to everything you want to see in Marrakesh! You’re close to all the best restaurants, bars and souks. Thank you Maria and team, we’re so grateful to stay. We will definitely be back!

Cons: WiFi could be improved. Breakfast tables need to be a little higher for longer legged people, but also get that shorter tables are part of the culture! Some music at breakfast would be lovely. Shower head in room 4 could use more power! Not much else to improve, your Riad is spot on!

Located just off the main street in the Medina making it quiet but central for local attractions and easily accessible to some great places to eat. The accommodation is very good and the staff very helpful and always smiling. The rooms are located around a central quadrant which is full of orange trees and a small fountain. The trees were just coming into blossom (late Feb) which gave a great aroma. Roof top facilities are perfect for relaxing in the last of the days sun after the hustle and bustle of a day out in the city. I would definitely recommend.

Cons: Not a complaint but would be a nice touch to have access to tea/coffee/juice prior to breakfast, some of us are early risers.

The Riad was in a great location. Close enough to the edge of the medina to make make drop-off and pickup easy, but also walkable to good restaurants and sights. This was a short stay in Marrakech for us, but the staff and check in process was very easy and quick. Breakfast was tasty and provided a nice amount of options. The room was very comfortable had everything we needed.

Cons: Our room was between the 2 wifi access points so we didn't get much of a signal in much of the room. But the rest of the property had good speed and signal.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Marrakech, Riad El Morocco offers an unforgettable experience that blends authentic Moroccan charm with the warmth of Italian hospitality. My recent stay at this stunning riad left me thoroughly impressed and longing for more. From the moment I arrived to my final farewell, every detail was thoughtfully executed to make my stay both comfortable and memorable. Luigi and Bella, the exceptional Italian hosts, truly embody the spirit of hospitality. Their genuine warmth and attentiveness set the tone for an exceptional experience. Always ready with a smile, they went above and beyond to ensure I felt at home, offering helpful tips, personal recommendations, and engaging conversations. Their presence gave the riad a unique character and made every guest feel like part of the family. The staff at Riad El Morocco deserve equal praise. Every morning, they greeted me with fantastic coffee that was nothing short of a lifesaver, along with delicious and generous breakfasts that fueled my adventures around the city. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile—whether by providing insightful advice about navigating Marrakech or arranging tours and activities—ensured my days were seamless and full of discovery. The riad itself is an architectural marvel. From the moment you step through the door, you’re transported into a world of intricate mosaics, beautifully carved wooden details, and serene courtyards. Each corner of the riad exudes traditional Moroccan design, perfectly balanced with modern comforts. My room was no exception—spacious, immaculately clean, and tastefully decorated. The comfortable bed, soft linens, and thoughtful touches like fresh flowers made it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The central location of the riad is another highlight.

Basically everything was great. The riad has been recently restored and improved by the owners and with a beautiful roof garden and swimming pool. It is super stylish but feels authentic and understated at the same time. The owners were extremely nice and helpful and made our stay extra special. The location is very good. Serene and spotless, just entering the riad after a long international flight felt like we had finally arrived home. One can sense that restoring this gem had to have been a labor of love. Beautifully renovated Riad in a great central location in the medina, located down a quiet street away from all the hustle and bustle…Some great restaurants near by and the hosts Maria and Ralph were always on hand with helpful tips and information. All the staff were so friendly and really welcoming from the housekeeping team down to the night porter. Especially the lovely breakfast waitress who served us with a smile every morning. Cons: More choices for breakfast. A possible central point in the breakfast room where guests could have access to teas and coffees/bottled water throughout the day…

Absolutely beautiful Riad, even better than the pictures. This is our third time in Marrakech and this is the best Riad we have stayed in, only tied with one another that was more than double the price. The breakfast was varied and lovely, staff were friendly and the location was perfect. Rooftop pool is lovely and amazing after a busy day exploring.

Cons: Hardly anything to not like. If I was being really picky I would say the bed wasn’t super comfortable. Breakfast service was excellent our first two mornings. On the third morning we sat at a dirty table for 15 minutes trying to get staff to clear the table and provide us new plates so we could eat. We had to ask 3 times before anything was done. There seemed to be some kind of issue in the kitchen but it was a shame as apart from that this stay for us would have been a 10.

The Riad is beautifully designed - a perfect mix of tradition and modern elegance. The common areas including the courtyard were beautiful - especially the rooftop sitting area. Our room was beautiful, quiet and very clean. Maria and her team were very accommodating and friendly and the Riad has a very relaxing atmosphere. Location wise the Riad is right next to Bahia Palace only a 10 - 15 minute walk to the main square and souks. On the way there are a bunch of shops and cafes and the area is well populated until around 9.30 pm at night. After then a lot of shops started to close and the alleyways were a bit dark. We did not have any issues but would recommend to return to the Riad while shops are still open (before 10 pm). We would definitely recommend this Riad and happily stay there again!

Cons: We loved everything about the Riad - breakfast options could feel a bit limited to some expecting a hotel spread though. For us it wasn’t a problem and we very much enjoyed the freshly baked apple tart and banana bread.

We thoroughly enjoyed the varied and delicious breakfast options each day. Our room exuded unique charm, and the bathroom was truly spectacular. Maria at the reception was exceptional, providing great information that greatly enhanced our stay

Cons: Nothing significant. The only minor issue was the lack of blackout curtains at the top of the windows.

Perfect location, friendly staff and a beautiful Riad. Very modern but in keeping with the traditional architecture and furnishings.

Cons: It is a little bit more pricey than other more traditional riads, but it was worth it! Not much breakfast selection, but you’ll find the same options at other riads so not much of a surprise.

Beautiful riad, super private and intimate yet so close to all the attractions. Bahia Palace is literally a 3 minute walk. Staff is super friendly, let us check in early and check out late due to our flights. Would stay here again if we come back to Marrakech in the future!

Beautiful Riad located in a great area of the old Medina. The pool was amazing for an evening and morning cool off, and to take a moment of chill in the sun from the noise of exploring the medina. We toured the Riad as we happened to be the only ones staying on one of the nights, and there are 6 rooms in total, all them quite different in size and offerings, but all of them so lovely in their own unique way. Would happily return and stay in any of the rooms. The breakfast room opening out on to the sunny tanqual courtyard was an amazing way to start each morning. Thank you for having us!

The Riad is like staying at a museum but without the hoards of tourists. It is a very calm and peaceful space, and there are so few rooms most of the time, it feels like having the whole Riad for yourself. The hosts and staff are kind and generous. The place is just so beautiful I would totally come back

Cons: There is definitely room for improvement in the breakfast. The coffee and the msemmens are not great. The place is just so beautiful that one can overlook that, yet again, the current writer has been spoiled foodwise in Morocco and has very high standards. Also, the Wi-Fi and phone signal are not that good in the rooms - they work pretty well upstairs on the terrace.

Great location! Although the location is quiet you are very close to the places where it all happens. And with the guard at night you feel safe.

Cons: The WiFi could have been more stable depending on where you are in the riad. On the rooftop there are a few more sunny spots where there are no pool beds. This could have been nice for more privacy in the sun.

Staff were great and really helpful. Thanks to Ralph and Maria and of course the cook and other domestic staff.

Cons: Just the accessibility of the shower in the room as it was over a high bath. Could have done with a kettle in the room.

The venue was beautiful and looked even better live than in pictures. Breakfast was very good, the staff was very nice, location was very central to tourist attractions. Everything worked as it was agreed. Place was tidy and everything was as it's is supposed to be. The riad was a quiet and calm oasis in the middle of a busy city.

Cons: There was nothing we did not like.

Location was perfect - close enough to the start of the Souks, but far enough to be out of the chaos of it all. Breakfast was superb, each day a fresh buffet was prepared with traditional breads, pancakes, cakes, fruit, honey/jams, eggs cooked to order etc. The hosts were fabulous, gave us the space to feel private but was always there to help with any questions, recommendations etc. We went to two restaurants the hosts recommended and they were our favourite meals. The whole experience was so wonderful and truly made our trip to Marrakesh memorable. It was the perfect sanctuary to come back to after a busy day walking around.

The El Morocco is absolutely stunning. On opening the front door it is like entering an oasis! It is beautifully decorated in calming colours and also smells fabulous thanks to the jasmine trees. The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. We even had a portable radiator incase of a chilly evening. There are beautiful common areas and sun loungers by the pool and in another more private terrace. The breakfast was simple but very tasty with good quality ingredients. The staff were happy to make delicious omelettes and always smiling! Maria gave us some excellent recommendations for dinner. We would not hesitate to recommend EL Morocco to our friends and to return ourselves.

Superb details and a welcoming atmosphere! The riad is much more beautiful than in the photos. The room was clean and refreshed daily. The ladies that served the breakfast were kind and I particularly enjoyed the lemon tart and the fruit salad. The garden and terrace are perfect for sunbathing or savoring mint tea while surrounded by the chirping of birds. The location is perfect for tourists, very close to the main attractions, good restaurants, and to an ATM. It is also quiet, and protected from the noise and smell from the scooters. We stayed here for three nights. For longer stays, we recommend experiencing at least two different riads to explore options at various price ranges.

Cons: I wish we could engage in activities organized by the raid and to have the transportation available to the airport. Take a shower cap with you since there is only one type of shower available.

Nestled in a bustling alley of Marrakesh, this Riad is a hidden oasis of tranquility and elegance. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by an immaculately clean and beautifully decorated haven, boasting furnishings and a notable rug from Sotheby's. It’s a stark contrast to the lively streets, offering a peaceful retreat without sacrificing the city's vibrant spirit. Strategically located, the Riad is just a 5-minute walk to the Bahia Palace and a 10-minute stroll to the main market square, combining convenience with serenity and safety. Its position makes it an ideal starting point for exploring the city's rich history and bustling markets. What truly distinguishes this Riad is the warm hospitality of the lovely couple who manage it. They are incredibly accommodating, ensuring that every aspect of your stay is perfect. For anyone seeking a memorable stay in Marrakesh, I highly recommend this charming Riad; it's not just a place to sleep, but a delightful experience in itself.

Gosh this place was unbelievable. The heated pool was perfect for a November dip. Maria and Ralph are the best hosts, they are so helpful with recommendations and advice for shopping in the souks of the Medina. They really make you feel welcome and I could not recommend more.

Cons: I wish they had a restaurant inside the hotel maybe.
