The entire team was incredibly attentive, warm, and hospitable. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for. It was very centrally located, and we were able to easily find our way around. Our room was decently sized, bathroom had a great set up, mattress was very comfortable. breakfast was legit. Met the owner, she was super cool.

Cons: Would be good to have a fridge in the room. Other than that, we heard some noise a couple of nights from the rooftop bar next door - but it was mostly drowned out by putting the air con unit on.

This Riad well exceeded our best expectations. The cosy comfort of the place, the great location (very convenient to visit both the Medina and the rest of the city (thanks to being very close to one of the access doors to the Medina) and the stylish furniture and ambience made our stay unforgettable. Moreover, the host Giovanna and all her staff were very supportive in all possible ways, providing assistance and advices on how to best visit the city. Strongly suggested!
Cons: Basically nothing! The only mention could go to the fact that the rooms are not screened from the external noises and sounds. But it comes with the very nature of this Riads.

Our stay in this Riad was one of the highlights of our holiday. Giovanna, the owner, did a dream job refurbishing the Riad and decorating it in the most marvellous way. Giovanna was lovely with us and the children. We were a family of 4 with two children plus mum and brother. We used two of the gorgeous rooms available. We were welcomed with moroccan hot tea at our arrival. We ate several times in the Riad, for dinner and a few aperitivos. The food was lovely. The breakfast amazingly good and also served so beautifully! The attention to details from Giovanna and her staff was really appreciated. We would definitely recommended it and will be back! We miss it already! Grazie Giovanna :-)
Cons: Nothing that we did not like. The only suggestion for improvement would be to let the customers know that the pools can be heated. We were not told and did not know therefore we felt we missed out on enjoying that part. It would have been amazing! Hope this helps future guests!

The staff were very helpful, very kind and genuinely friendly at all times. The manager took his time to welcome us and gave us very helpful advice, which we took note of and which made a difference to our plans and trip - very much appreciated. We asked lots of questions and he was very patient with us. We returned from a trip in the desert, during which it had rained. We were covered in mud (clothes and shoes). The staff helped us with brushes and cloths to clean our clothes and shoes - we made a mess (red mud everywhere) in their laundry but they were incredibly helpful (offered to wash our clothes for us, but we managed to wipe the mud off). The breakfast was very tasty, plentiful - and varied every day - which was extremely nice. Everything was very fresh. The tea and coffee was hot and freshly made. it was also a very wide timeslot for breakfast - allowing for an early start or a lie-in. The location is perfect for everything touristy. The decor and ambience in the Riad is also very calming. The room was spacious Finally - I applaud the cleaning ladies - this is one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed in. All in all I would recommend this wholeheartedly - a really lovely place to stay and very nice people.

We had a wonderful stay at Riad La Lumière d'Étoile with our three-year-old daughter. The location is perfect, tucked away at a quiet dead-end street, providing a peaceful retreat from the bustling medina.The staff were incredibly accommodating to our family. When our daughter had a bit of a stomach bug, they went above and beyond, keeping us stocked with water and yogurts and helping us manage everything with patience and care. That kind of thoughtfulness makes all the difference when traveling with a toddler.Breakfast was great, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend for families visiting Marrakech.

Un séjour inoubliable dans un riad authentique au cœur de la médina de Marrakech ! La propriétaire et toute son équipe font de ce riad un lieu vraiment chaleureux, accueillant et plein de charme. Chaque détail est soigneusement pensé pour offrir aux voyageurs une expérience exceptionnelle. Nous avons été accueillis dès notre arrivée à l’entrée de la médina, puis accompagnés jusqu’au riad. Le personnel, toujours souriant et attentionné, nous a immédiatement mis à l’aise, même avec les enfants ! Ils parlent plusieurs langues (français, anglais, italien, espagnol, arabe et berbère), ce qui rend les échanges très simples et agréables. Notre petit garçon est malheureusement tombé malade pendant le séjour, et nous avons été touchés par la gentillesse et l’aide spontanée de toute l’équipe. Le riad est décoré avec beaucoup de goût, très propre, et l’ambiance y est paisible et positive. Le petit-déjeuner est délicieux et servi à l’heure souhaitée, sur la terrasse si on le souhaite, un vrai moment de détente ! Ils proposent également des plats maison sur demande, toujours savoureux et préparés avec beaucoup de cœur. Nous recommandons vivement ce riad à Marrakech pour son hospitalité, sa propreté et son atmosphère authentique. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter ! 🌸

I had an amazing stay! The riad is absolutely beautiful – chic, stylish, and spotless. It’s located right in the heart of the Medina, very close to main attractions and museums, yet surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The hosts, Giovanna and Ibrahim, were wonderful – warm, kind, and always helpful. Breakfast was delicious, complete, and varied, with easy gluten-free and dairy-free alternatives. I couldn’t recommend this riad more – a true gem in Marrakech!

Simpatia da dona e dos funcionários. Todos eram de uma gentileza incrível. Sempre disponíveis para ajudar no que fosse preciso sem serem intrusivos. Todas as áreas do quarto eram extremamente limpas e extremamente bem decoradas. O Roftoop era agradável embora não tivesse uma grande vista sobre a Medina. Os pequenos almoços eram fabulosos. Pedimos para nos fazerem um jantar, foi a melhor refeição que fizemos em Marraquexe, comida caseira muito bem confecionada e em quantidade mais que suficiente. O Riad transmitia paz e tranquilidade. Quando voltar a Marraquexe só não voltarei a repetir este alojamento se não tiver disponibilidade.

Location is perfect, just 5 minutes walk from Laksour Medina gate - taxi drop off/pickup point and about 8 minutes walk to main Medina Square - Djemaa El Fna. However, for arrival book riyad shuttle service, it will be difficult to find it on your first day. Marianne (host) and Ibrahim (24/7 receptionist) really very helpful and friendly. Breakfast at the riad roof is also very good
Cons: Book your room on the 1st or second floor. My room was on the ground floor and you can hear everything in the internal courtyard, as traditional room door not give any sound isolation.

I really cannot recommend Riad La Lumière d'Étoile enough! The property is in a perfect location, gorgeously decorated, the breakfast is delish, and wifi is great. They go out of your way to make you feel welcome, orient you to the city, and overall just make you feel at home! Whether its relaxing in the courtyard, the beautiful rooftop, or your room - its a perfect place to relax and enjoy.

The staff is very polite, detailed and helpful. They served us tea and biscuit upon arrival. The staff also provided a small map, explained the route and they also gave us the list of restaurants that we could visit. The accommodation is very clean and quiet. Although we have slight miscommunication in the transportation fee, however they had resolved it and we were very satisfied. The staff are very helpful and warm welcoming!

Lovely tranquil place in the souk. It has a lot of atmosphere, and a nice small pool. The food here is better than the restaurants outside (you can even book a cooking course here!) The staff is lovely and very helpful, they also organise trips for you. If you like to sleep longer in the morning, try to not book a room on ground level, the breakfast is served in the patio outside your window, and it can get a bit loud.

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay here. The owner Joanna and the staff, in particular Ibrahim were very accommodating. It was our first time staying in a riad and it really is like staying in someone's home.
Cons: I didn't really know what we could ask for. It wasn't clear if we could ask for drinks or snacks, we did ask for dinner one evening which the staff made happen quickly - but there was no choice.

I had a lovely stay at Riad La Lumière d’Étoile! This beautiful riad has appealing decoration, comfortable rooms and friendly and excellent customer service. I stayed in two different rooms, Soleil and Berber. The former is perfect for singles and has a very comfy bed, which I loved. The latter is also a good size and easily accessible to the graceful terrace. The toiletries have high quality such as the plenty of delicious food served at the breakfast. I highly recommend Riad La Lumière d’Étoile for your stay in Marrakech.

We had a great stay at the riad! It’s located just on the edge of the medina and less than 2 minutes away from Koutoubia - so convenient for getting to restaurants, bars, and transport links. It’s very pretty inside and has a lovely rooftop. The breakfast was great too, we were offered lots of fresh food and LOTS of lovely mint tea. They also offer dinner too which is made upon request which was great, especially upon our late arrival as we were too tired to venture outside for food. The staff were amazing as well; Ibrahim gave us lots of information about Marrakesh.
Cons: Our stay was amazing. The only issue we experienced was a blocked shower drain, but that was quickly resolved!

Fantastic, friendly staff, lovely room and roof terrace, felt very safe for a solo female traveller. Easy to find in the medina as it was close to one of the main gates. Both times I needed to get a taxi one of the lads on the staff came out with me to find a taxi and negotiated a decent price

The Riad is very tastefully decorated, very new and clean. The beds are super comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Some rooms are much nicer than others, our was ok.

Staying here was a definite pleasure! Nothing was too much effort for the team. Ibrahim met me at the Bab Laksour gate and led me to the Riad, only two minutes away, and presented me with lovely sweet mint tea and some nibbles almost immediately. The Riad is fresh, bright and spotlessly clean, as was my room. The ladies who do the room service were great, the French owner was lovely, the staff fantastic, particularly Ibrahim who was super-friendly and helpful at all times, including getting me some saffron from his supplier. Breakfasts are fresh, generous and tasty. Even though the Riad is only 5 minutes or so from the Medina, it is peaceful and calm, a little oasis amongst the busyness of the souks, lanes and traffic. Thank you to the whole team.

EVERYTHING about the riad was wonderful. It is truly a gem! The comfort, decor, rooms, service, cleanliness, and food were all exceptional. And Ibrahim was the most gracious host I’ve ever had, as well as being an excellent chef!

This was our first experience of Morocco and it didn’t disappoint. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed with traditional mint tea and cookies by the lovely staff. The Riad is clean, beautiful and smells amazing! It smells so good we asked the staff if we could purchase the scented oil they use in the Riad and, of course, they went above and beyond and got us two bottles of the oil for purchase so that we could take home. The location couldn’t be better because it’s just inside the Medina gate and walking distance to the famous square and many other attractions. We will absolutely be staying here again when we visit Marrakesh.

Breakfasts were extraordinary. Decor was lovely. Staff was amazing and catered to my every need. The rooftop is gorgeous. My suite was homey and relaxing. I am so happy I stayed there!
Cons: I would have loved a full tour upon arrival, but that is a minor point that was remedied on day 2 of my stay.

Breakfast was very good , local fresh food of high quality and quantity more than enough . The riad is well situated , just a short walk from the big place. Is very clean and the staff was very attentive to our needs , supplying extra covers for the night , organizing excursions and even cooking for us when we were tired to get out to a restaurant . By the way the best local meals we had were at the riad . They should promote their kitchen more !

This riad is so beautiful and the staff is so incredible. The staff is very welcoming, helpful and kind. The best experience was the staff and the location. The riad itself is very cute and beautiful. They made my stay feel safe and nice. Ibrahim was very helpful in helping me get a taxi to go to the jardín Marjorelle and made sure they gave me a fair price.

Lovely Riad with excellent, super friendly staff. Great location only just off the main road so felt safe walking back from where taxis dropped us. Really liked the roof terrace. Would highly recommend. 5 min walk from El Fenn and 8 from Kabana Bar.
Cons: Pillows were hard but that’s me being super fussy!

This is a gorgeous and peaceful Riad in a great location inside the Medina. 5 mins walk to the souks and 7 mins to the main square. El Fenn is a 3 min walk. Beautifully decorated, with stylish touches, a lovely roof terrace and cosy corners. We were welcomed warmly by the owner with tea and served a simple but delicious Moroccon dinner on the rooftop. Breakfast was also great. We were treated so well by the staff and in particular Ibrahim, who was a delight and couldn't do enough for us.
Cons: The double beds are small (but comfy)and in a room booked for 3 adults, we had one friend on a small single futon, that was not really ideal for an adult.

- Location is very close to whatever you need in the medina - Friendly and easygoing staff - Tea & coffee whenever you need it - Cozy terrace - Great bathroom and supplements i.e. shampoo, conditioner, body crème - Eclectic design
Cons: - Breakfasts are rather small and not rich in nutrients e.g. very low in protein: having an omelette would solve that for me. Usually your breakfast will be 80% gluten products like several kinds of bread and pancakes, 20% are left for jams and fruits or vegetables. - It may get loud early in the morning due to people moving in and out. You are gonna hear everything 100%. However, don’t let this turn you from this place, riad is terrific and cozy: just bear in mind that you are very likely to go search for a breakfast in some other place.

This was a very special situation: 1. I had to make my own way from Casablanca to Marrakech after my flight was cancelled. Ibrahim from the riad directed my driver by phone and met me at the entrance to the medina. This alone was a great comfort for a weary traveler. 2. During our evening out, the earthquake hit. Giovanna and Ibrahim sent a hired driver, Yusuf, to bring us back to the riad to collect our baggage. Yusuf drove us to our ultimate destination in the middle of the night. Any one of these actions was above and beyond their duties as hosts, especially since they had their own safety to consider. Not only are we all grateful to Giovanna and Ibrahim, we will remember them forever! PS I never even slept in my room, so I can't comment, but it looked beautiful.

After mistakingly booking a rooftop Berber tent, the staff was very kind and gave us what turned out to be one of the quietest stays in Morocco. We could walk to most things in Marakesh.
Cons: I was left with the likelihood that someone went through our things as a money pouch went missing and this was the only place we left our things unlocked for a while. The staff we met were all very nice so this was an uncomfortable realization.

La Lumière is a conveniently located oasis of tranquility in Marrakech. The host, Giovanna, rehabbed this riad and turned it into a stunning work of art that can be seen in every single detail. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, Giovanna and her wonderful team make you feel welcomed and taken care of. The breakfast each morning was lovely, and on our final night we requested dinner at the property and the meal was one of the best we had in our time in Marrakech. I am so glad we stayed here and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

This was a wonderful riad in Marrakesh, the host Jobanna was lovely and Ibrahim in particular was so attentive, a very friendly and caring approach. He helped us out with many tips and recommendations on local interests. The riad was very clean and decorated authentically but with modern features. Located within easy reach of the main square but far enough from the hussle and bustle, taxi was within easy access and felt very safe. The breakfast was delicious, Ibrahim served a fresh local breakfast every morning on the rooftop. Overall an amazing stay in Riad Lumière, would definitely recommend a stay here.

Great Staff. Ibrahim's great spirit, attentiveness, smile, and warm heart made the place feel like home. Everyone is so amazing and loving. The Riad feels like a sanctuary. Ibrahim was so attentive to our gluten allergy and made us Gluten free bread and made sure there is no cross-contamination. I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was. I hardly ever write a review but I felt a strong sense of duty to write a review about this amazing place.

Beautiful Riad decorated in such a tasteful way, great location - close to everything but also very quiet, the team that work here were super helpful, especially Ibrahim who took care of everything I needed. I stayed one week, and every morning the breakfast was gorgeous with different options each day. When I come back to Marrakech, I will be staying here again!
