We stayed in Riad Danka for 3 nights towards the end of 2026. During our stay, our host Simo was extremely accommodating and helpful providing advice on different aspects of the local culture, cuisine and venues. The riad was very comfortable and cozy. Even though it was winter and outside temperatures were low the environment inside the riad was always comfortably warm. The room was also very comfortable.

Breakfast was simple yet tasty. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Room was a nice size with good storage and a nice shower area with a bench. We enjoyed the common area as well. If you want to be really close to the markets the area is perfect, quiet and safe.
Cons: The pool in the main common room wasn't very warm and also is very open (no privacy). We used it once and didnt see anyone in there. Upstairs the hot tub was freezing. Unsure if maybe you need to ask to use it. Quiet from the outside but loud on occasion from the inside.

Die Lage war perfekt! Obwohl mitten in der Medina, war es sehr ruhig. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit bzgl. Abholung vom Flughafen und Buchung von AusflΓΌgen. Wir haben auch eine perfekte EinfΓΌhrung in die Medina bekommen, mit sehenswerten PlΓ€tzen und Restaurants. Die Dachterrasse ist ein sehr netter RΓΌckzugsort.

Cons: La camera aveva le finestre sulla hall e sul ristorante quindi andavano tenute completamente chiuse le finestre ed eravamo al buio. Inoltre nemmeno cβerano luci sufficienti. Ovviamente i rumori sia della camera che del bagno erano diretti per gli ospiti che stavano facendo colazione. Le camere piΓΉ alte davano comunque al passaggio quindi credo che dovessero anche loro tenere chiuso..la piscina Γ¨ una specie di fontana decorativa nello stesso ingresso dove non ti viene in mente di fare il bagno e quella nella terrazza non Γ¨ nemmeno della dimensione di una vasca da bagno. Lo spa Γ¨ solo su prenotazione. Fanno venire una persona a fare un massaggio. La doccia allagava in due minuti tutto il bagno La Posizione al centro e nella Medina di giorno e buona ma non tornare dopo le 10. Il mercatino chiude e restano stradine sporche e isolate senza nessuno. Fa un po paura.

So absolutely beautiful and truly authentic to moroccan culture. Everything was so clean and thoughtfully decorated. The staff was absolutely beautiful. The ladies were very helpful in keeping our rooms clean and were so friendly. Simu was an absolute angel and so helpful with everything, specially since this was our first time in morroco. He really helped us with everything. From meeting us where the taxi dropped us off, to taking our bags, giving us tips on navigating the media. Just everything, a star. 10000% would come back.
Cons: Our only small complaint (I wouldnβt even call it that) was the breakfast. We were expecting more of a full breakfast with eggs but we got pancakes, bread, yogurt, coffee , tea, and fresh orange juice. Donβt get me wrong, that was great, it just wasnβt what we were expecting.

The Riad was absolutely glorious, a calm oasis mere minutes from the sensory chaos of the Medina. The decor was incredible and the room was stunning too. The hosts were very accommodating and we were made to feel very welcomed. The riad was also spotless with a beautiful rooftop terrace to relax for breakfast or an evening drink to watch the sunset and take in the views over Marrakesh.

Riad Danke is an elegant, spacious and impeccably well kept property, 2 mins walk to the Souks and the action. We especially loved the staff who were all amazing. The team helped us coordinate some tricky logistics with airport pick ups and dinner transfers, always cool and calm. Our room was so beautiful with an excellent bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Just a perfect choice. Could not recommend more highly.

Cons: Staff on arrival were not that friendly. Had to wait for a while and yet there was no one else checking in. When we said my husband was Moroccan (not from Marrakesh) she then didnβt offer any help and guidance as if somehow we knew everything about the area and Riad. We stumbled upon the rooftop pool - no guidance had been given that it even had one and we would have used it had we found it early enough! Other staff were helpful.

Breakfast starts at 8 am, but all the tours start before that so you get an orange juice and an assortment of breads
Cons: I was robbed the night before I left, so had no cash. i had plenty of money available on my cards, but Simone would only accept cash. in order to meet my international airline connection, i had to make my way by myself through the Medina- where I was robbed, carrying all of my suitcases because i couldn't pay cash for assistance, and hope that the nearest ATM, 10 minutes away, had cash, in order to pay a taxi to get me to the airport. I was disgusted. i had to ask the police where the ATM was. as my phone battery was flat. I could have been stuck in a nasty country with no money, and missed my flight because of them They say in their welcome notes, just ring them and organise someone to help with bags to guide to the Riad. Not tru.

Breakfast was good but a little limited and would have like a choice. Our room was spacious and comfortable and staff helpful, friendly and Simo would always be ready to help with advice and arrange transport or directions. Hotel was perfect location for the souks and restaurants.

The rooms and bathroom were lovely and it was located right in the Medina in a nice neighborhood. Only downside was the lack of privacy with the rooms as they were all inwards facing, so we were woken up whenever someone would enter their room. We booked a massage and it was excellent!
Cons: A bit noisy at night when other guests would come back to the hotel we would wake up. I asked to have some options at breakfast that were gluten free as I am celiac and I never got anything except for fruit and a yoghurt.

The decor is first rate, a beautiful Riad, pool, rooftop etc perfect, the breakfast was fresh and tasty. The staff are lovely hardworking ladies & great servers. Simo is just a pure gentleman, always on hand, extremely helpful with recommendations & advice as was Vava on our arrival...and we can't forget Ricky the resident cat, simply adorable & super friendly.
Cons: As with other reviews, being a courtyard type setup, the rooms wrap around it and at times you can hear the comings and goings, nothing crazy but it's there! It certainly didn't upset us! Every Riad in the Medina & Souk area of Marrakesh is down small dark often dilapidated lanes, this is the norm, do not be afraid...this is part of localising, adapting, the experience! The people are amazingly friendly & helpful.

The Riad was the perfect escape from the busy streets, a hidden gem. Beautifully decorated throughout, it was just what we wanted to experience whilst in Marrakech. We were greeted upon arrival by Simo, who was most welcoming and prepared us a delicious evening mean. Each morning we enjoyed the breakfast - nothing was too much trouble. Thankyou again!

This riad is a unique property in the heart the Marrakesh Medina. It is a quiet, luxurious refuge from the bustle and chaos in the Medina outside.
Cons: Some emigration not like that there is no TV in the rooms, but I found that a big advantage, allowing the entire riad to remain quiet and peaceful.

In the midst of the medina it was a very tranquil and relaxing Riad. Gorgeous building and really nicely furnished. Loads of space to sit and relax and great attention to detail. Location couldnβt have been better. Valerie who owns the Riad is lovely and very welcoming and is also great for advice on what to see and do. All the other people working there couldnβt have been more welcoming and accommodating too, including Simo the assistant manager who is also at hand to help with anything. For the first time visiting Marrakech weβre so happy we ended up in Riad Danka. Thank you Valerie and team.

The location in the Medina is perfect for exploring. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly. We also enjoyed a relaxing hammam and massage. The airport transfer service was excellent. Simo was always helpful and easy to reach via WhatsApp. We will definitely return!

The location was amazing, right in the middle of the Medina. Simo, our person of contact was really helpful, providing us with extra blankets and pills when he saw we caught a cold. Also, he was really responsive on Whatsapp, responding to our messages in a couple minutes maximum. The women at the breakfast were smiling every single morning. Overall a really good experience.

We were made to feel specialβ by each member of the DanKa family throughout our 3 night stay. Riad Danka was a perfect choice! We did an very detailed research, with filters such as 1. Spa facilities, 2. Location 3. Reviews, and we are quite experienced travellers. Riad Danka exceeded our expectations! -Amazing atmosphere, so clean, nice smell everywhere, great decoration, perfect hammam, perfect massage, tasteful breakfast. -All services were luxurius and at the same time we experinces Moroccan traditions, like tea, delights. -The terrace is so nice and relaxing, with flowers, and view in the Medina and Marrakesh city. -All personel, all ladies and especially Simo were amazing; the warm hospitality was a cherry on the top of this amazing experince. -Location is very easy, and regardless the fact that is in the souks, its an oasis...! Suddenly from the crouds and smells of the souqs you enter in a paradise. Google maps work perfectly. 5-10' from Jamma el fna (depending how much time you look around) -We used transport from and to airport from the Riad and everything was so easy; a person carried everything to and from hotel to the taxi. Simo thanks a lot for the nice stories, for the discussions we had and all great tips you gave us!

Riad Danka is everything you wish for on a (first time) visit to Marrakech, the location could not be better, on walking distance to the main sights. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Simo picked us up in the middle of the night on the main square and was always available for questions and advice, really great! The Riad itself is absolutely beautiful, the room was very clean and the rooftop terrace was lovely to enjoy the breakfast or a sundowner before dinner. We can absolutely recommend it.

This Riad in the middle of Medina is simply amazing. From the staff to the owner, they all make you feel welcome and help plan your stay in Marrakech. Very quiet and relaxing place to be. It is a little oases in the Souks. When you are inside, it seems you are in another faraway city. When you exit the Riad and walk a bit, you are immediately in the middle of the "crazy" Marrakech we all love. I will definitely stay here when I go back to this amazing city.

From first bite of their beautiful seeded butter biscuits with mint tea of course to last goodbye with Hamza helping us to carry our bags to the square. We been looked after so well with attentive and knowledgeable Simo and his team. Beatiful breakfast on the terrace and beautifully cooked dinner with magical sunset. Canβt wait to return to this oasis of calmness and style. Letβs not forget terrace with beautiful plants/ loungers and perfect plunge pool with beautiful view. Infamous Nomad upon their doorstep but I have to say we had our tastebuds exploded at riad Danka. Beautiful salads/ lemon olive chicken and blood orange with cinnamon was cooked with such a love . Absolutely lovely Riad in the middle of the town. The staff didn't speak much english, but through their friendly way of communicating, all our needs were fulfilled. The room was very clean. The roof top terrace is a perfect place to get some quiet time in the middle of this busy city. You can order a drink and just enjoy the sun there.

Cons: The breakfast menu could have been better. Would also be nice to have someone on standby to help with luggage since the Riad isn't accessible by car.

This was the first place I stayed in Morocco, and it was excellent once I arrived. Clean, quiet, comfortable, simply decorated with both Moroccan and European decor. I stayed in Room No. 3, and it was very spacious! Lovely staff who were always ready to help with any questions or concerns. My only feedback was the minimal and delayed responses from the owner(s), who did not provide much information on how to arrive, questions on any personal needs, etc. It's quite a trek to get here through the Medina, and arriving later at night was a bit confusing. Just a note that it is safe to walk through the winding streets alone (although a bit awkward with luggage), and Google maps works well. The rooftop was also under renovation when I stayed. So, that area was inaccessible (where the lounge chairs and the hot tub were located).

Cons: It was not easy to find the way to the hotel. After 10 p.m. nearby shopping streets are emptied and do not look secure anymore. Pools look bigger on pictures than in reality. It took about 20 minutes to get our breakfast fully served

Amazing atmosphere and great staff. As it was located in the middle of the (hectic, adventurous) medina it was really nice to have such a chill and quiet spot. From the front desk to the cleaners, everybody wanted to make your stay the most comfortable. They even walk with you to a restaurant 10/10 Would recommend this place. Marrakech is fun but the Riad was actually the highlight of the vacation haha.
Cons: The little pool on the rooftop could be a little cleaner :)

Its a beautiful and calm oasis in the middle of the busy meddina. the location is ideal. just a few walking minutes from the places of interest, all the nice restaurants, cafes and market-places. the room/bed is very comfortable and clean, nice breakfast and view over the city. but the best about the riad is the Staff! Momo, Safia and the ladies from the kitchen crew are just amazing. so helpful, sweet and funny! they made our stay special, thank you so much :-)

Weird that there was no one from reception and the lady who took payment from us (cleaning lady) had to call the manager and arrange billing and transportation details (which I had ordered the day before). I feel sorry for the lady (not speaking English) who was obviously stressed by the whole situation, but she was very nice to us anyway. I just expected more professionalism.

Cons: For breakfast, fresh fruits and some local jam and cheese would have been great. Terrace wasn't open at this time of the year (February). Entry of the beaten track, so returning late can feel spooky.

We had such a lovely time at Riad Danka, having picked it out as our honeymoon location. The setting was really comfortable with fantastic dΓ©cor that you can buy from various markets in the city itself. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and attentive - even though they were probably very busy, they always found time for us. Riad Danka is located right next to the souks and very much in the heart of the Medina. This means that less than a minute walk from the door you're bang in the middle of the hubbub and all the goings on. It can feel a little chaotic at times but the Riad provides a well-needed calm oasis from all that. The rooftop was a pleasant and quiet spot to have breakfast or even a delicious three-course meal, which the Riad can also provide. You also get a great view over a lot of the other rooftops and can see many of the landmarks. This really is a multi-layered city and the Riad feels a part of that too. A special note goes out to the array of pets which frequent the Riad. The cats of Marrakech are well known and in Riad Danka, top cat ReΓ―ki is king and charmer of many a guest. He was a great companion for us on a lazy day or evening. There were also the cutest kittens growing up before our very eyes just outside the Riad. Finally, Riad Danka's tortoise was often found chilling by the pool in the lobby. This menagerie made the atmosphere of the Riad like nothing else. We both thoroughly recommend staying here.
Cons: The Riad is located at the end of a pretty small street, tucked away from the main souk thoroughfare. Whilst we had no problems, it could make us feel a little uneasy at night. Luckily the Riad does also offer to pick you up if you would rather walk with someone who knows the area a bit better.

Cons: One thing to highlight - there was just only one socket in our room for 3! Which is essential while travelling, to charge phones, power banks, ironing etc.. And the AC didn't seem to work properly. But we enjoyed the stay anyways!

The Riad is very beautiful, amazing details a mix of modern with the Moroccan traditional style. There is a lovely terrace with an outstanding view of the city. It is super clean but most importantly the people working there are super. They always go to the extra mile with clients. Lastly the location is super central in the Medina, less than 5 min walking far from Nomad and Terrace des epices restaurants. I really recommend it.

Attentive staff - thank you Chloe and Khalid. I was feeling unwell and they prepared some off menu meal for me at my request. I also had an early flight and they especially made me breakfast very early and helped me to my organised transfer to the airport (as it's impossible to have cars in the alleyways , they chaperoned me to the square). Beautiful and comfortable room, huge bed I could sink in. All the details and amenities in the room very thoughtful. I loved the roof terrace, and the cute kitty Ricky who would come say hello from time to time. It is right in the Medina so very close to the action. It would seem hard to find at first but actually google maps is pretty accurate. Saha/merci Riad Danka!

We had a wonderful stay mostly due to the superb staff who were so kind, helpful and accommodating. Even with a language barrier we used a translater app and were able to communicate effectively. The food was delicious and the facility was a diamond in the rough that was beautiful, calming, and comfortable in a spa like setting. Loved it and highly recommend staying here if you want an authentic experience and location.
Cons: The location does make it difficult for taxi since you have to be dropped off and walk through the medina to the riad and it is very difficult to find. The staff did send a staff person to meet and escort us to the riad which was quite necessary and helpful. It is good to be aware of this in advance though.

This was one of the most beautiful riads for our trip across Morocco. The indoor heated soaking pool was such a great addition to the riad. The indoor pets, cats and turtles, were so fun to experience. The staff was so polite, accommodating and attentive. I would stay here again, over and over!
