* Ubicación: sin duda, uno de sus grandes puntos fuertes. Muy céntrico y cómodo para conocer Madrid. * Habitación: muy cómoda y agradable, con todo lo necesario para disfrutar de la estancia. * Atención: el personal fue atento y el trato, en general, muy bueno. * Detalle de cumpleaños: como era el cumpleaños de mi marido, tuvieron el bonito detalle de recibirnos en la habitación con una botella de agua y un plato de jamón ibérico, algo que valoramos mucho. * Desayuno: productos de muy buena calidad y opciones a la carta muy interesantes. Quizá se echa en falta algo más de variedad en el buffet, pero lo que ofrecen es bueno y de calidad.
Cons: Minibar: los precios nos parecieron excesivos incluso para un hotel de cinco estrellas. Por ejemplo, una botella de agua, con o sin gas, cuesta 6 €, algo que consideramos demasiado elevado. * Fianza: nos sorprendió que solicitaran una fianza de 100 €, algo que no esperábamos en un hotel de esta categoría. * Baño: la habitación tenía bañera en lugar de plato de ducha. Además, la bañera era bastante profunda, por lo que había que levantar mucho la pierna para entrar y salir, resultando poco cómoda. Entendemos que puede haber personas a las que les guste disponer de bañera, pero creemos que, en un hotel de esta categoría, sería mucho más práctico contar también con una opción de ducha, ya que no todo el mundo se siente cómodo utilizando una bañera. * Zona de piscina: la zona de la piscina de la azotea podría estar mucho más cuidada. Cuando fuimos a verla, la superficie del agua presentaba una capa de grasa bastante visible, lo que hizo que no nos resultara nada apetecible bañarnos. Es una pena, porque la zona podría ser uno de los atractivos del hotel.

Breakfast was amazing , could not fault anything - there was even champagne and all the ingredients to make a proper Bloody Mary. Piano player was fabulous whilst having breakfast . Room that was originally given was on the street and as I am a light sleeper I was kept awake by the noise of people chatting , after explaining to the reception that I was a light sleeper we were immediate given a fabulous room which was very quite All staff were amazing and could t do enough to assist us. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Cons: The staff told us… just ask if you want more water etc… we did 3 times, but we never received it. We had room service one day - the food was just warm when we received it. The shower was definitely designed for men… women don’t always want to wash their hair! - there was only the overhead shower and no shower cap. The pool was great to have but the music was too loud next to the bar & due to availability that’s where we had to sit… more than once.We felt that because we had no euros to use to tip on arrival… we may not have received the best service.. sorry if I’m cynical.

Fabulous hotel right in the middle of the city. Can walk to everywhere but in a super quiet street. Glass of champagne at check in to go along with the Champagne and Bloody Mary's offered at breakfast, best start to the day! Great hotel memorabilia everywhere such an interesting layout to the hotel, keep exploring. Mezzanine/library area is great. Can loan record players and vinyl LPs. Super clean, quiet, comfortable room. Lovely pool and delightful rooftop bar to enjoy evening drinks. The nightly entertainment around the piano was a nice way to end the day. Highly recommend would stay again.

The hotel was gorgeous, location was ideal for Madrid pride, close and within walking distance to everything. The rooms we spacious, nice and cool and have great amenities, loved the marshall speaker and the air-con was really good. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, they were aware we had got married 4 weeks ago and in our room on arrival was a lovely bunch of flowers, a bottle of cava and a chocolate bomb! We ate in the main restaurant one evening and it was brilliant, great value and servie and we also loved the rooftop cocktail bar! This is the 3rd hotel we have stayed in, in Madrid and our new favourite
Cons: Not much tbf, however there is not a lot of storage for clothes in the room, wasted space in the wardrobe that could of have had some additional draws, also no space for toiletries by the sink. Pool area was ok quite small, and people we using 2-3 sunbeds each or they were not being used at all therefore noone go around tidying them or clearing them for others to use

The rooms are nice but very small. It's very clean and the whole space is curated well. The pool area is defiantly the big plus of the space. that's why we booked it.
Cons: The rooms are not that great equipped. Half of the room the space needs the bed. Not much space for putting clothes. cupboard has only hangings. No space for socks and underwear. Or you need to empty a drawer where other equipment is inside. No space at the sink to put your wash belongings. The bath is part of the room. Breakfast ends already 11:00 am. Often guests came too late.

The hotel itself was just fabulous, the pool was really needed on such a warm days. Rooms were lovely, spotless and well appointed. The decor and history in the building, while given a more modern touch, still shone through. The old theatre is spectacular. The guys playing music...I could go on and on!
Cons: To be honest its hard to find fault with the hotel. If i was to be extremely picky I would say that it was a little annoying the free drink vouchers they provide (which is great btw) can't be used by the pool! And, maybe its a little annoying that the rooms are so far from the rest of the hotel but that is being really picky.

Hervorragendes Frühstück mit allem, was das Herz begehrt. Neben dem Buffet auch die Möglichkeit zur Bestellung warmer Eierspeisen. Sehr guter Service im Frühstücksbereich. Frisch gepresster Orangensaft, Auswahl an Kuchen. Der Pool klein aber herrlich zur Erfrischung. In den großzügigen Zimmern sind die Betten hervorragend und vor allem die fein steuerbare Klimaanlage und die sehr schalldichten Fenster in einer Großstadt machen den Aufenthalt komfortabel.
Cons: Das Bad ist offen und die Toilette mit einer Glastür vom Rest des Raumes getrennt, das ist nicht von jedem Gast gewünscht. Für uns war es o.k., aber vielleicht sollte man es in der Zimmerbeschreibung angeben.

Cons: Checking was horrible. Absolutely horrible. They act like they could get you early check in for extra $$. Like if you can’t just say so. Don’t make hang around the hotel for hours so I can check in. I gave them my cell number they never called even though they insist they will. Not only did they not check us in like they promised they check one of or rooms past the guaranteed check in time. This is an absolute pain when you come in in a red eye. I wanted to lay for a room the night before but they said I can just pay for early check in but then they pulled the rug in that one. Never again will I stay here

¡Me encantó el hotel donde me alojé! Estaba muy limpio, era nuevo y precioso, con una ubicación excelente. Las habitaciones eran geniales y me pareció una idea estupenda poder escuchar música a través de los altavoces del techo. Quiero hacer una mención especial a las chicas de la recepción. Me gustaron tantísimo que les daría una medalla sin dudarlo. Siempre fueron muy amables, atentas y cumplieron todas mis peticiones con una sonrisa. Además, fue un gran orgullo y un verdadero placer asistir al espectáculo. En general quedé muy satisfecho con mi estancia. Lo único que podría mejorar es el desayuno, que no era del formato clásico (es más un pequeño inconveniente), aunque estaba delicioso.
Cons: En general el hotel está muy bien y me gustó mucho la estancia. Todo es genial, pero tengo un par de sugerencias que podrían mejorarlo aún más: Sería muy práctico añadir en la habitación sal y un plato, además de un albornoz. También estaría genial poder usar la piscina desde las 6 de la mañana y disponer de un gimnasio y una sauna (o baño turco). ¡Gracias por todo y seguid así, que lo hacéis muy bien!

A wonderful hotel on the upper market scale, centrally located in Madrid. Breakfast was accompanied by piano music, adding a refined touch to the stay. The facilities were excellent, and the overall experience was pleasant what one expects from an upmarket hotel.

My wife and I loved this hotel experience As music lovers, I found the theme of the hotel just to our liking - we enjoyed trying to put names to many of the photographs Beautiful breakfast room with plenty of delicious options served by very friendly and efficient team and piano player was a lovely bonus too The room we were allocated was ideal for our needs - Tv was massive - facilities in room excellent Fantastic location - easy to get around and we walked to all the to attractions and restaurants Pope travelled past 100 metres away which was a delight too Front of house team too were excellent and happy to offer guidance We tried the rooftop bar and swimming pool as they were great too This hotel offers a quirky experience- with a walk screen playing pop and other artists too I could go on but just to say thank you to all the staff and management - you made our first time Madrid experience so enjoyable and a beautiful building too Hope others take advantage of booking this hotel too Thank you Rob and Sophie

Fabulous hotel in a very central location. Staff were great. The host for breakfast deserves a special mention as does the female waiter on the roof top bar on the Sunday night. Sorry don’t know their names. We really enjoyed the rooftop bar with its stunning views of the city. The pool area was very comfortable with towels provided. The bedroom was spacious and spotless. Complimentary arrival drink was a lovely touch as were the talented pianists playing during breakfast. We also appreciated the help given re restaurants by the concierge, Belen.

Breakfast was good, it was possible to order a la carte. The location is very central and good. The pool area was quite cozy and the drink priced were reasonable. The hotel was clean and there was even live piano music during a breakfast. I slept well in the comfortable and soft bed.
Cons: There was a construction site nearby, beneath our hotel room on the street. Plastic pipes loitering on the street. The view was not good as you can imagine. I had to specifically ask the hotel staff to reverse the preauthorization from my crefit card after checking out while waiting for the taxi after I noticed the preauthorization still existing. This was quite unusual and even a little bit alarming but the right amount was charged after all. My wife thought that there was a peculiar smell in the room but I did not think it was anything odd. The room itself was probably not 5 star, closer to 4.

My experience at U Music Madrid has been fantastic as usual. The environment is pleasant, the location in the heart of the city close to the most important museums, parks and attractions. Quiet rooms with all the amenities, comfortable beds and plenty of space. Cleanliness is a staple everywhere from the food area to the common spaces. Very good quality of fresh products for breakfast served in a stunning room accompanied by a pianist performance. Eduardo has been a great host, professional in a friendly manner and ready to solve any problem. The best hotel in Madrid!

We stayed at this hotel last weekend and had an amazing experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and kindly assisted us with our luggage, making the whole check-in process effortless. We were also able to check in early, which was a much-appreciated bonus. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. The reception team and door porters were always friendly, professional, and eager to help with anything we needed. The rooms are modern, spotless, and maintained to a very high standard. The facilities are excellent, especially the rooftop terrace, bar, and pool, which are fantastic places to relax after a day exploring the city. The location is another huge highlight. It’s in a very safe, pedestrian-friendly area and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions, Gran via etc, making it the perfect base for a city break in Madrid! I would highly recommend this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. 5/5.

Il n y a pas de poubelle dans la chambre, pas de peignoirs, pas de bouteilles d eau plates (seulement deux canettes gazeuses) , aucun produit d agrément offerts, le coin lavabo est très petit et collé au lit etc … pour 417 euros la nuit tout cela ne me semble pas à la hauteur du prix et du standing d’un soit disant 5 étoiles

Hotel très bien situé à 20 minutes à pieds de tous les lieux touristiques au centre de Madrid. Le théatre situé à l'intérieur de l'hôtel nous a permis de voir un spectacle de cabaret sur place. Bar rooftop bien équipé et confortable. Piscine extérieur de bonne dimension et chaises longues en nombre suffisant. Personnel très aimable et efficace. Nous n'avons pas utilisé la salle de gym (nous faisions déjà 20'000 pas par jour !).
Cons: Il n'y a pas de véritable restaurant, plutôt une offre limitée pour les repas, mais d'excellente qualité avec un bon rapport qualité-prix. Le petit déjeuner est limité et trop cher pour ce qu'il propose (EUR 30.- /pers.). Nous avons chaque fois pris notre petit déjeuner dans les tearoom ou café alentours (EUR 6-7.-/pers.). La propreté des chambres et de l'hôtel en général est perfectible. Pas assez de rangements dans les chambres, on ne peut pas vider ses valise. Pas vraiment un 5 étoiles, mais 4+

Cons: Rooms were tiny. It was supposed to be to be a five star hotel, yet the amneties were not 5 star. There were no robes, few drawers, no counter/desk space. We had to ask for mini bar and other stuff to be removed in order to put meds in refrigerator and have someplace to plug in phone/watch/ipad charges. The bathroom is part of the room. Our cabin on cruise ship was bigger. No concierge desk, no turn down service, no chocolate on pillow, coffee was not labeled decaf or regular. Coffee pot was in wardrobe, safe was in wardrobe. Shower was tiny. Too hard to turn on water in bathtub, had to get into tub to reach faucet knobs. Tub Access difficult because the majority of the tub was blocked by wall and sink. Sink was utilitarian, shelf space taken by towels. Night stands tiny. Phone occupied almost entire night stand top!

Unfortunately, The staff at the terrace bar were quite rude and dismissive However, the rooms are very small. One of my friend had booked single, and it was tiny. I had double and even this one was very small. Be careful where your windows look at, if its the busy street , then you will not be able to sleep , at least during the weekend, as much noise. The breakfast although not very extensive, but really good. As they have a la carte ordering and the omelettes, fried eggs etc are very tasty. The roof terrace is lovely, just the service was really bad.

We found a great deal in this 5 star hotel and everything was excellent! Superb location, the best and I mean breakfast in our trip, a very pleasant atmosphere, and wonderful recommendations from a very amicable front desk where all of them where very thoughtful… Laura, Carlota, Maryan, and of course Mariana who is wonderful! We have been in Madrid several times and without a doubt, this has been the best so far and if or when we go back, we plan to stay here again.

We visited Madrid over the Easter break, which was an ideal time, as there were additional festivities for the Easter celebrations! The hotel was situated off a side street from the Sol Plaza, which made it ideally situated for either walking or using the Metro, to see all of the main attractions. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful, friendly and professional, we would like to give a special thanks to Eduardo, Aljandro, Daniela, Andrea, Maria and Christian who plays the piano in the evenings at the piano bar - Very talented! The rooms in the hotel were clean and ideal for a weekend - We stayed in the deluxe city view room. Although the room looked on to a busy street at the rear of the hotel, the room was very quiet. There was a roof top bar with great views over the city! There was a piano bar, which had a pianist every night and a singer at the weekends accompanying Christian on the piano. Christian was more than happy for you to join in and sing! Thank you for making our evenings Christian! The bonus of the hotel is that it has its own theatre! We saw Caberet whilst we were there, neither of us speak spanish but we were so immersed in the fantastic acting and singing it didn't matter! Fantastic show!! If you are thinking about visiting Madrid it is worth booking a guided tour to the Palace, so you get express entry. Also if you want to hire a rowing boat at Retiro Park, make sure you book in advance! A visit to the 360 sky bar in the Riu is a must for fantastic views - You will need to pay 10 euros each to enter the bar though! Thank you again to all the wonderful staff! I do need to mention the breakfast team and the chef at breakfast! The staff were very attentive and very friendly! The eggs benedict was the best i have ever tasted!!

I loved my recent three day solo stay in this hotel, just minutes from the very central metro station., but located on a super cute little street. From there I explored Madrid easily on foot: Mercado San Miguel for best tapas open until midnight, great plazas, parks and museums jjust within 10 to 20 minutes walk. The hotel also houses a restaurant, a théâtre and a piano bar for easy evening entertainment just steps away from your room. The hotel is not too big, lovely, these decorated ( Universal music), super clean and has the most helpful and attentive staff. I got an upgrade on my Reserved single room. Cleaning was done daily. Little details such as: slippers, umbrella, coffe machine, tea re- supplied daily and friendly greetings from staff on both entrances, always ready to answer questions or give directions. Rooms are clean and modern, not huge; also really loved the Bt speakers. I would come back just for that (I usually travel with mine so this is helpful). Concierge service was especially helpful, provided great recommendations and was even able to get last minutes to the Real Madrid game. Breakfast was also good. Will be back!

Cons: Being conservationists we usually only ask for room cleaning once in a four or five day stay. However the day we specifically asked for cleaning, it was not done which is unacceptable. The housekeeping / cleaning staff needs to more aligned with the rest. The breakfast was the same everyday and were lacking decent vegetable options.

Amazing location and great staff! Our room was quiet and a good size. Anything we asked for at reception was promptly delivered to our room. It was an excellent stay overall.
Cons: The layout was a bit inconvenient because of the tv on the wall with sharp angles at our eye level that was in the way and we had to be mindful about it. When we bent to pack suitcases and then got up with both hit our heads on the sharp corners. It really needs to be moved. But other than that everything was wonderful.

A wonderful independent 5 star hotel built around a working theatre (but causes no disruption to one’s stay). Some quirky features (eg room located in one part of the buildings but a separate lift to reach public facilities). My wife and I loved it for its refreshing difference and art based decorations. The young staff are well trained and attentive. A glass of cava to accompany the registration procedure. Cold water offered for the journey when checking out. Breakfasts were fab (pianist playing each morning and it’s possible to eat at a table extended from the Grand Piano). Good food. And quirky roof top bar. Superbly located. No highlight of Madrid is more than 15-20 minutes walk. Puerto de Sol and Plaza Mayor on the doorstep. I commend this place for couples or single travellers who want to leave behind the blandness of the corporate hotel experience. Try UMusic, it has a soul.

The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfy. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We loved the piano bar and the roof top bar. The location could not be any better to get to all areas of the city. The breakfast was amazing!
Cons: If you want a shower and not get your hair wet, that is a little tricky as, although the shower was awesome, it was a small cubicle that the shower head pretty much filled from directly above. That is being very picky though! I had a couple of lovely relaxing baths instead!

I am currently at Yurbban hotel in Barcelona. To inform the room is decent size not small as at UMusic. Secondly, and most importantly I can regulate the thermostat here at Yurbann hotel. The thermostat at your hotel I could not regulate and that made for an uncomfortably warm night, a real negative.

La ubicación sobre todo y la atención de todo el personal en el hotel. Muy amables y serviciales. También las habitaciones son excelentes.
Cons: En recepción los empleados son abusivos. En el check in me hicieron una retención del valor de la habitación más cien euros de depósito. Al hacer el check out tenía un adeudo de 90 euros. Y en lugar de tomarlos del primer cargo me hicieron pagarlos nuevamente. El primer cargo lo tomaron total sin descontar los 100 euros supuestamente de deposito. Es arbitrario porque te roban 100 euros. En un hotel de 5 estrellas no debiera de pasar este tipo de cosas.

The staff were exceptional - everyone was so kind and friendly. An A+ for hospitality. We loved the music theme -there is an LP lending library (with a turntable you can borrow), and a live theatre right within the hotel (where we saw Cabaret in Spanish). The area is fabulous - within walking distance to so many things.
Cons: I thought the breakfast buffet, while nice, was quite overpriced. I recommend guests have breakfast at one of the local restaurants.

Cons: The internet connection was impossible. It was extreme slow (if it worked at all) I was on a business trip and this was terribly frustrating. I arrived on a rather cold day, and the room was freezing. It took a while for the heating to actually heat up the room. Clean but with a few patches here and there all over the bathroom, particularly around the mirrors. The staff at the door would sometimes be helpful, other times you just needed to go ahead and push the door by yourself although they were seating right in front, which felt very awkward. Same goes for greetings. Overall, I didn’t feel like this was a 5 star property. Maybe trying, but not there yet.

Cons: בגלל שהחדר קטן יחסית אז אין חדר נפרד למקלחת והשירותים ולכן מיקמו אותם בפינה של החדר במרחק של כ-2 מטרים מהמיטה, בעקבות זאת יש הרגשה של חוסר פרטיות שמשתמשים בשירותים הבן זוג ישמע הכל וגם הריח מתפשט בחדר, לא זכור לי אם הייתה ונטה אבל זה החיסרון היחיד לטעמי.

The hotel itself is not bad, and you can watch a great musical there, but the way they handle disputed charges and the overall sense of security were a huge disappointment. We came to Madrid to celebrate my birthday. At check-out, we honestly told the staff that we had taken one KitKat from the minibar and wanted to pay for it. At the reception they offered to charge my card (the same one I used for the stay), and I agreed. When I got home, I saw a charge of €109. The hotel sent a “minibar statement” claiming that in one day we supposedly drank two bottles of whisky plus another bottle of alcohol we did not take, and that we also “took an umbrella” from the room that had been kept in the closet. We have been trying for several days to get a clear explanation, but we keep receiving only template replies. On top of that, my friend discovered that her expensive belt (in its case) was missing when she arrived home. She travelled with carry-on luggage only, so it is unlikely it was stolen at the airport. In a 5-star hotel, situations like this are unacceptable, and the staff’s response has been very discouraging. Please think twice before booking.

Cons: There was a bad smell in the room we were initially given. We were moved to a different room without any issues. There also seemed to be a smell a few evenings in the reception area when we got back to the hotel. This might be an issue outside the control of the hotel. The layout of the hotel is a little strange with the theatre being part of the building. The room (Deluxe City view, 303 & 203) layout was a little strange as it was at the end of the corridor. The bed is at an angle to the wall with a small gap between the corner of the bed and the wall. Have to be careful not to bump into the wall mounted TV especially during the night. The upside of the room layout was that the bathroom was bigger than other rooms. Overall a nice stay but not what would expect of a 5star hotel.

La tematica y decoracion del hotel referente a la musica. Y la belleza y encanto historico del hotel en especial su fachada. Y como no la amabilidad del personal.
Cons: En las cercanias se encuentra una comisaria y en especial en las noches se oyen algunas sirenas. Tal vez si se pudieran insonorizar mejor las ventanas se rozaria la perfeccion del hotel.

The location is excellent, we were able to walk everywhere. The street outside is pedestrianised so it is quiet. The staff are truly excellent; professional and friendly and the service is very smooth and efficient. Our room was spacious with everything we needed: hanging space, decent bathroom toiletries, hairdryer, umbrella, nice towels, a good mirror etc etc. There was a bottle of water each day and chocolates to welcome us. It was my husband's birthday and we received a dessert and a little bottle of wine in the room which was a nice touch. The bar was lovely with a nice atmosphere. We didn't visit the theatre but on the Saturday night theatre goers came into the bar where there was a pianist and singer. The theatre looks fantastic, booking a show would be a great idea to include into a stay. We loved the breakfast, again the pianist played gently. The buffet of fruit, pastries, cereal etc was all vey appetising and fresh, and hot dishes were served from a menu: omelettes, eggs benedict etc. We would highly recommend the hotel.

Hotel claims I booked two rooms instead of one, and insists on charging both. The second reservation number is unknown to me. They tell me to let Booking.com to sort it out. No flexible from front office staff. As of today, my credit card is still charged for two reservations. No apologies, nothing.

I had a fantastic stay for my birthday weekend! The location was fabulous – perfect for exploring the city. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout our visit. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the rooftop bar and pool area were great spots to relax after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was lovely, made extra special with a live pianist creating a beautiful atmosphere. We also went to see Cabaret in the hotel theatre, which was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel

We reported to the manager on duty, they just wrote it down but didn’t do anything about that. We were quite upset about how they handle this matter. The reason that we didn’t put in the safe is because this is a five star hotel, we believed that little things leave it on the table should be ok. Fantastic customer service, professional but friendly. absolutely everything you could possibly want was in the room. Complimentary Roscon de Reyes cake (Three Kings Day) was a lovely touch and free drink voucher.. Loved the piano bar/restaurant. Location was perfect, very central for walking to everything.
Cons: The terrace of our room was tucked in below the pool so just a view of a wall but the room was spacious. A neighbouring room playing loud music early hours of the morning was not good but the night staff dealt with it promptly and effectively

Everything was absolutely perfect. The location is excellent, the hotel is beautiful, and the whole concept around music creates such a unique and stylish vibe. The room was spotless and cleaned every day, which we really appreciated. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and always helpful — they truly made our stay special. One thing that impressed us the most was their honesty and responsiveness: we realized two weeks after leaving that we had lost our camera. We contacted the hotel, and they immediately responded, found the camera, and kept it safely secured for us. That level of care is rare and unforgettable.
Cons: Nothing at all — everything exceeded our expectations.
