La struttura è bellissima. Tranquilla, caratteristica, curata nei dettaglia. Come in foto, anzi meglio! Posizione comoda e personale molto cordiale.

We had a wonderful stay at Riad Shajara! The breakfast was amazing, served privatly on the top floor patio, at what ever time we wanted. The location is truly the best you could wish for in the heart of the medina, close to everything, but still quiet. As two females travelling, we felt very safe. We were even escorted to our taxi a bit further away when we were going on an excursion at 5 am. Ahmed and the rest of the lovely staff made us feel very welcome and we loved our stay here.
Cons: Everything was great.

The location was perfect, few minutes walk away from main square. The property is beautiful and quiet except the 9am to 4pm construction noise. The breakfast was delicious and staff were warm and welcoming. Sara and her mum cooked delicious meals, AbduSalem was very helpful and took good care of us. Ahmed helped us with Taxis and restaurant recommendations. Property is very clean and aesthetic.
Cons: We took an early flight from the UK, arrived in Marakkesh and wanted to have a good nap before exploring the city on our first day but the Construction noise from the Riad next door was horrendous. Next day It was 38 degrees outside and we wanted to have a quiet day at the Riad but couldn’t because of the noise. This happened every day from 9-4. We were staying here from 26th to 30th May 2025 so if you are booking in June, ask the manager if the construction is still going on. If you plan to leave before 9 and come after 4pm then it shouldn’t be a problem. I did get in touch with the owner but they couldn’t do anything about this.

The staff were very helpful, they’re really good people. The inside garden is quite small, but cute.
Cons: It’s located in the labyrinth streets of old part of Marrakech, which made us feel not really safe walking back after sunset. And taxi can stop only ~100m from the entrance, so you’ll need to carry your bags. But that might be the problem of every riad in old town.

The riad is a true gem in the heart of the medina, a small oasis amidst the alleyways, with an absolutely excellent location just a few minutes’ walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. It’s truly amazing—stepping away from the hustle and bustle of the streets, you find yourself in a completely different world. Impeccable cleanliness, authentic ambiance, and decor with new, flawless furniture. Additionally, a delightful scent fills the entire riad, noticeable even from several meters away before you reach the entrance. The staff is absolutely wonderful, especially Ahmed, who helped with everything—truly everything. There wasn’t a single thing he couldn’t resolve. His presence is incredibly reassuring! The organized tour (Ourika Valley) was absolutely five-star, offering an authentic taste of rural Moroccan life—it exceeded our expectations and was an even better experience than we had hoped for. I also want to highlight the care and attention at breakfast, which presented a beautifully arranged local culinary experience with great aesthetic sense. Additionally, there is a security guard present every night in the riad, ensuring visitors feel completely safe. Thank you for the experience; it was truly a refreshing delight!
Cons: There is just one thing I would like to mention, more as a suggestion than a criticism: by the third day, the abundance of sweet flavors at breakfast felt a bit overwhelming. Perhaps offering a few savory options would be a great addition. :)

Cannot rate this establishment highly enough. A gorgeous, luxurious riad at the heart of the Medina with warm and welcoming staff who go above and beyond to meet your every need. A special thank you to Ahmed, who was an exceptional host, making sure we were well cared for from even before we arrived to Morocco. He managed bookings, gave local recommendations, escorted us to taxis, called places on our behalf, and always made sure we were having a pleasant time. It really was the handcrafted, personalised and thoughtful service from all staff members that elevated this already great experience into a fantastic one. The property itself is beautiful and quiet, and we also really enjoyed the rich and delicious breakfast served every morning at the time and location of your own choice!

First of all, the pictures are real, that's exactly how it looks in reality: a jewel of a riad, small, chic...you feel like you're in a palace. As I entered, I smelled orange blossom and forgot about the unwelcoming landscape outside the riad. All the staff are kind, but special thanks to Mr. A... from the security guard, who prepared us breakfast most mornings. Ahmet took care of the transfer from/to the airport, which I recommended. Cleaning in the room daily, functional air conditioning, TV with Netflix. Too bad the water in the pool was cold for this period ...Impressive decor, like in a dream.
Cons: Este o sugestie, nu un aspect negativ: Micul dejun f.bun dar f dulce!!! Pentru turistii care stau mai multe nopti, s-ar putea incerca o diversificare( ex: masline, oua)

Absolutely stunning Riad, which was tastefully renovated about 5 years ago. Just a 5-min walk from the buzzing Medina, it's an oasis of peace and lovely to hang out during the day. The breakfast is local. The very friendly staff present doesn't always speak English or French, but Ahmet is very helpful when he is there or available on Whatsapp. If you intend a “workation”, the internet (4g and landline glass fibre) is very fast. The rooms and the riad are very clean, and they tidy the room very nicely.
Cons: The hosts will happily try to overcharge you, for example for a transfer from the airport or the train station to the Riad (€20 instead of the normal price of €5), or other services like bottles of water etc. That puts a bad vibe because you pay a considerable amount for rooms and expect hospitality and not to get bamboozled over a few euros. When we arrived, we were put in a different, much smaller room than the one we booked on Booking.com. Only after demanding what's going on, we were met with the explanation that the room we booked is still occupied by other guests because they mixed up the room's for technical reasons, which it happens occasionally, without any apologies. After 2 night, we could change to our intended rooms, and we got a partial refund for the nights in the smaller room, so it's ok - just make sure with the hosts that you are actually in the room you booked. The breakfast is basic (no eggs, etc.) and repetitive.

Cons: We had a bit of issues with breakfast timings and on the day we were leaving to the desert we had requested an early packed breakfast to be arranged however when we were leaving the property the packed breakfast wasn’t ready and they quickly arranged for some dry bread which is unacceptable considering we had requested this on the day that we arrived and reminded the manager of the request on the day before

Great location, clean riad with lovely decor. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fulfilled every request at all hours! Good space in rooms, beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were good size and clean with good shower water pressure. Very peaceful riad day and night. Very close to jema al fna which was around 7 min walk. Spent most of the holiday accessing all the sights by foot! Ahmed was very helpful in suggesting places and booking our excursion. The driver Monsef was very friendly and helpful, he even bought medication for one of us who got food poisoning! Very relaxed trip largely in part due to the lovely team's help.
Cons: The only complaint would be that the taps for the basin do not have good water pressure. Would also suggest a full length mirror in the bedrooms as the only mirror available is in the bathroom and lighting isn't the greatest for makeup etc.

Had a lovely time staying in this riad. It’s very clean and newly refurbished. Great care has been taken with the overall look of the riad. Super attentive staff. Ahmed was a blessing. Helped us with all the tours and dinner reservations (one needs to know where to have a traditional dinner with a show). Riad was very close to the Jamaa El Fna square and Bahia Palace.

Amazing staff, very helpful, responsive, and fully available! Good and fresh breakfast with local products. The position is also good, 15 min walking far from the center but really a quiet and lovely neighborhood.

I loved the warmth of the staff: Ahmed, Sara, the gardener (who was very polite and always offered us mint tea), and last but not least, Patricia. The riad is quiet, smells like heaven, the design is impeccable and you can see the care for every detail. The breakfast was amazing (Sara makes the best homemade orange marmalade!) and I even received a bouquet of flowers when we checked out. Thank you guys!

The property is absolutely gorgeous, it is a attraction itself. My partner and I was surprised with the facilities and how gentle the staff was. They helped us with a lot of informations and even with some stuff that we needed during our time such as call a taxi and print documents. The room is space-full and comfortable, we really don’t have nothing to complain. Even being in the Medina, the access for car is right around the corner what we loved.
Cons: we really enjoyed everything about the property. One thing to mention, it is not that we didn’t like, but the breakfast is very different from our tradicional food. But it was nice to taste different things and everything we ate was delicious! Ah, one thing that maybe I would add is that there isn’t potable water (like a filter to take water in the kichten), so we needed to buy it.

Locate very close to Jaam El Fna square and souks. It tucks away inside an ally so it keeps away from the noisy motobikes nearby. Clean room and comfy bed. Ahmed, Sara and other staff are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good.
Cons: It is a relatively small riad, so when guests/staff in & out of the reception, talking in courtyard can be heard especially in the morning and at night. We did not use the small pool but wondering it locates in the courtyard is not so privacy. Roof top could be decorated with nicely with botanical plants.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was so nice and helpful, the place is fully renovated and so beautiful! The location was great: we were dropped off nearby and walked 2 minutes to the riad. It's close to the main places you want to see in the medina.
Cons: One of our kids slept on the sofa and while they put linen for him, they didn't have an extra blanket.

Nice Riad with walking distance to the main square. Rooms was clean, staff was friendly, and service minded- They helped us also in several areas such as bookings etc. Every afternoon they offered us coffee/tea and extras. The design of the Riad is also appealing and the pictures does not lie. What you see is what you get.

The riad is beautiful and clean in a calm space away from the noise, but not too far away from some of the main attractions. The staff, Ahmed, Sara and the night guard, all made us feel very welcome here. Ahmed was always available to answer any questions and was extremely helpful, making sure we had everything we needed during our time here. Breakfast was plentiful each morning including homemade marmalades. The rooms were a good size and very comfortable.
Cons: One thing to note is that the address on Google is not right so be sure to use the address provided on the booking only.

A newly renovated riad at ten minutes from Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. Patricia, the owner, created a piece of paradise. Ahmed is a very professional young manager who is always willing to help and available for you. Sara looks after the riad impeccably and cooks amazingly. The gardener is a very caring person and attentive man. We stayed in a suite room (Gaia room), super clean and beautifully decorated in typical Moroccan style. The breakfast was simply excellent, with plenty of food choices and cooked perfectly. We loved it so much that on the last day of our stay we booked another stay for next May.

A newly renovated riad in the heart of the Medina. A few minutes’ walk from the main square Jemaa el-Fna. A true home from home with a beautiful rooftop terrace to chill, read a book or sip on mint tea. A beautiful pool in the courtyard to refresh. As this is a new riad with limited reviews I was a bit sceptical about booking the Riad but was so glad I did this is a hidden gem and amazing value. The riad is even nicer than the pictures as it has been recently renovated and bought over by a lovely French lady. A tranquil oasis to relax and unwind, with only 5 rooms it is very peaceful. The riad has two room options, standard and suite. I was fortunate to stay in both and loved both equally. Both rooms are extremely spacious, standard rooms are on ground floor so you can walk directly out to the pool. The 3 suite rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floor with aerial views onto the pool. There is also a rooftop terrace with dining area and sun loungers. A kitchen available for guests or get home cooked Moroccan meals on request. Rooms have TV, hairdryers and fluffy dressing gowns. Breakfast: A good variety from savoury to sweet and with fresh fruit, juice and eggs. LOCATION-LOCATION-LOCATION As a solo female traveller I felt very safe, location is 5 minutes’ walk to main square and when walking to/from the riad the streets have locals and tourists. Cleanliness: Exceptionally clean, I have never had my room cleaned or organised like this before and have stayed in 5-star hotels globally. Staff: Friendly and very helpful staff, Ahmed on arrival gave me an overview of Marrakech and helped me plan my itinerary for the week. He also arranged spa appointment, taxis and restaurant reservations. Value for Money: Excellent value for money. SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND BOOK THIS RIAD, BEFORE FINDING THIS RIAD I WASTED HOURS READING REVIEWS, TRUST ME YOU WILL LOVE THIS RIAD AND PRIME LOCATION.

Shajara is a beautifully newly renovated property. My room was beautifully decorated in traditional Islamic architecture. The owner (who was just finishing the renovation) helped me out as the Riad I had booked had closed due to Covid-19! The Riad is perfectly located for exploring the Modena and new town alike. I loved the location as I was able to memorise the route to the square and souks quickly. I highly recommend this Riad.
