Onze ervaring bij Selman Marrakech was gewoon fantastisch. Alles klopt hier: de service, de kwaliteit, de sfeer, de kleinste details. Je voelt dat dit hotel tot in de puntjes verzorgd wordt. Zelfs toen mijn mama ongelukkig ten val kwam, was er onmiddellijk een verpleegster ter plaatse — professioneel, vriendelijk en geruststellend. Zelden zo’n harmonie gezien tussen luxe en warmte. Echt een plek waar het verhaal klopt van begin tot einde. Absolute topkwaliteit. 💫

- Wunderschöne Anlage mit grossem Pool, bequemen Liegen und Lounges. - Service am Pool aufmerksam und freundlich. - Zimmer sehr geräumig mit schöner Terrasse und grossem Badezimmer. - Sauberkeit einwandfrei - Pferde werden augenscheinlich gut behandelt, haben viel Auslauf und werden zwar für die Abendshow gezeigt, müssen aber zum Glück keine Kunststücke vorführen, sonder dürfen einfach ein bisschen Kreis laufen und sich bestaunen lassen.
Cons: - das Zimmer war erst um 15:30 bereit, obwohl wir pünktlich zu Check in um 15:00, bzw. Bereits um 14:50 vor Ort waren. - das Restaurant Assyl empfanden wir für die gebotene Küche überteuert, das Essen war gut, aber nicht aussergewöhnlich. Der Preis für 3 Gänge mit umgerechnet ca. 150,- (ohne Getränke) definitiv zu hoch angesetzt.

Le personnel a été parfait au restaurant Assyl, au petit dejeuner en passant par les chambres
Cons: En revanche, rapport qualité prix un peu limite ;) Pour avoir fait des hôtels du même standing, le petit déjeuner devrait être compris et le taxi pour 10 minutes à 50e.. 😄😄 C'est des petites choses à modifier mais qui feraient la différence, à bon entendeur ;)

Prachtige locatie waarbij ontbijt werd geserveerd tussen de "paardenbakken", zeer stijlvol gedaan. Zwembad van super formaat , met ruimschoots bedjes en parasolletjes etc. perfect bediening aan het zwembad. Restaurants prachtig qua design en uitstraling, service fantastisch.
Cons: De prijs kwaliteit verhouding valt wat tegen, ondanks dat alles klopt in het hotel zijn de kamers wel heel erg aan de prijs. Bizar is dat wanneer je een kamer hebt van 850 Euro per nacht dat het ontbijt elke ochtend nog seperaat wordt belast a 45 Euro per persoon. Ook de extra services, als hotel taxi naar restaurants waren ongegeneerd duur ( 80 euro per keer voor n ritje van 10 minuten en retour weer zelfde bedrag) . Echt alles prachtig maar net te duur.

Le cadre est objectivement magnifique Nous gardons un excellent souvenir du SPA ou les masseuses sont de grandes professionnelles.
Cons: nous avons note quelques négligences au niveau des transats et parasols de la piscine qui ne sont pas dignes d’un hôtel de ce standing. Au sabo, nous avons commandé les boulettes d’agneau. On est revenu vers nous 15 minutes (!) après pour nous signaler que le plat n’était finalement pas disponible. Le snacking était épouvantable avec des pâtes à la sauce tomate préparés négligemment. Que dire du burger qui ressemblait à une semelle de chaussure ? C’est indigne d’un tel établissement. L’ensemble de ces petits détails et négligences ont vraiment rendu l’expérience désagréable même si nous soulignons néanmoins la politesse, à défaut de la jovialité, du personnel.

Above all, the Staff are excellent, and the service level is impeccable. The hotel itself is even more beautiful in person than it is in pictures and is very well maintained. The rooms are clean, spacious and well-equipped.
Cons: Although the food is great, it does appear overpriced compared to the competitors. The famous "Brunch" was nearly 200 euros per person and was a fairly standard buffet, so totally not worth the price.

There was nothing to dislike about staying at the Salman. The staff were so helpful and friendly - nothing was too much for them. The Moroccan buffet breakfasts and dinners were delicious, with so much choice. The building and grounds are very, very beautiful. Dinner while watching the incredible display of Arabian horses and dancing was out of this world.

The hotel and its grounds are truly stunning, offering a picturesque and relaxing environment that made our stay memorable. One of the highlights was watching the beautiful Arabian horses every day, which added a unique charm to the experience. We spent countless hours lounging by the exquisite pool, enjoying refreshing cocktails in hand, and soaking in the serene atmosphere.
Cons: Our stay did have a less-than-ideal beginning. Upon arrival, we attended the Sunday brunch, which, unfortunately, was quite disappointing. The buffet was plagued with flies, making the food unappetizing and resulting in us eating very little, despite the hefty price tag of 150 per person. We we were served Lansons champagne, which, for those familiar with five-star standards, is a surprising and underwhelming choice. We expressed our concerns to the manager later that evening. While a refund wasn’t offered, they did provide us with a complimentary breakfast for the duration of our stay. Although we appreciated the gesture, it was evident they were hesitant to fully acknowledge the issues we raised. That being said, the remainder of our stay more than made up for this initial setback. The exceptional service, breathtaking surroundings, and overall experience left us with fond memories, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful hotel.

J’ai été toutefois déçue de la propreté de la piscine: une canette de coca est tombee avec le vent dans la piscine depuis une table à côté …j’ai informé le personnel car j’ai des enfants pour la ramasser..je suis partie manger sieste enfant etc et revenue la canette était toujours dans la piscine… J’ai été aussi déçue de pas pouvoir utiliser les autres piscines dans le spa car mes enfants ont moins de 16 ans

For the price… it’s not worth it! Unless you are drenched in designer, you won’t be treated well! We came for the first 3 nights of our honeymoon and wish we could have checked out earlier. The menu is outrageously priced. You can buy the same bottle of Rose for 20-25 euro cheaper at other bars/restaurants. The pool staff were amazing but some of the reception staff did not make us feel welcome at all. It took over an hour to check in and payment on arrival made us feel overly uncomfortable. We mentioned on many occasions that the card used was not a credit card and rather a debit card which they did not understand, to which it declined each time. The experience felt wrong and not the start to the honeymoon which we expected. We are glad to leave the hotel and feel more welcome somewhere else. I would not recommend to be honest.

This hotel was exceptional. You will fall in love with this hotel at the first sight! There’s a pleasant scent amber everywhere which will remain within you as a great memory. The main pool is very well-designed and kid’s friendly. there are two other pools, adults only, available at spa’s space. Staff were extremely helpful. Kid’s club was amazingly supportive and helpful. The authenticity of the artworks in communal areas would fascinate any art-lovers! The only negative thing is that you don’t want to leave this hotel!

The Selman is as high end as you can go, The room was first class the best you will find, The pool areas are fantastic and are very relaxing. The spa was a real experience and again first class. The whole team of staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Slightly out of the mayhem of the centre of Marrakesh which is what we wanted but still only 15 minutes away.

The lady who owns the hotel takes a personal interest and it shows, spotlessly clean and very well run. The architecture is stunning, as is the pool and the food was excellent throughout our stay. Simply wonderful. It's a beautiful property, with some of the most friendly, helpful staff I've ever seen in a hotel. The rooms are huge and luxurious, with real moroccan design and charm. The on site horse stables and shows are also fantastic. An amazing luxury experience, without the attitude that you may encounter at some of the other well known resorts in the area.

Wonderful hotel with beautifully maintained grounds. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The service was outstanding, the room was spacious, and the spa and pool areas are absolutely stunning. My only small complaint is the rather limited dining options. I would definitely recommend this property.

Hotel was very amazing and the staff show that they really care about you and gave wonderful hospitality! Lamia was very attentative and gave us many suggestions on what to do everyday while exploring Marrakech! She literally gave her number so that we don’t get lost while we were there! She really cared about us! She is the best! Overall enjoyed the stables an the poo! Restaurants are great too! Will definitely be coming back!

Has the Selman the potential to be a world class hotel, yes absolutely. Is it there yet, no. I would like to compliment ms Oumalaz who served us at their Assyl Restaurant. She was world class (and she will probably be nabbed by a competitor very soon), Sara who made marvellous omelettes at breakfast and Fatima at breakfast did provide us with a great service. I like the interior. The ambiance is great, the selection feels truly authentic maroccan. So what is missing? The service and the attentiveness of the staff. A few examples: We got there around check in at 15:00 and the room wasn’t ready. We waited for 35 min before we were told they couldn’t get us another room or when our room would be ready (In the end we did get our room 90 min after official check in time). We were recommended to sit in the lobby and wait, or catch lunch at their Pavillion. Getting the right level of service wasn’t easy. We didn’t get our drinks until 15 min into our meal. The napkins came at the end of our meal and they charged us 80 USD/person for the meal. The pool area is maybe a bit simple for a hotel at this level in terms of staff and interior and doesn’t carry the attention to detail as I come to expect from hotels at these level. Almost all seats on the sunny side had used towels and not cleaned up from the prior guests so essentially all free seats, some 20 of them were not cl

Celebrated my husbands 40th here and the staff went far beyond in making it special! We truly enjoyed our stay here with our 19month son, we found the pool, spa pools and food very child friendly ~ staff very welcoming and accommodating! Not forget they’re amazing horse stables and kids club which was an extra excitement for our little one as well as for ourselves! Highly recommend this beautiful, elegant hotel!

The Selman Hotel really is a credit to its staff and management. It’s a beautifully designed hotel, peaceful and with a fabulous pool and world class spa. The three restaurants are all excellent as is the poolside service. I really cant think of a single improvement. And on top of all that, they have an Arabian stud farm attached to the hotel where they have several champion stallions which guests can visit. One of my favourite hotels in the world.

Words cannot describe how helpful and attentive the staff were. From suggestions of what to do or where to go; to asking how out excursions went and if we were satisfied with the arrangements. Needless to say the grounds are gorgeous and the horses are beautiful. I cannot say one negative thing about this establishment.

the hotel is absolutely beautiful. i stayed in one of their suites which was very nicely decorated in traditional Moroccan design and was very spacious. Sushi restaurant is great the following are the disappointments: too expensive - the Riad I stayed at the Medina @ EUR140/night provided a delicious Moroccan breakfast and the Selman Marrakech @ EUR1000/night charged a significant extra amount for breakfast. The Selman Marrakech has a horse show that is open to the public. it was on the same night as I arrived and they informed me that there was no more room for the show. I suggest that the hotel would think about accommodating their own guests before allowing non-guests access. the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. you need to take a taxi anywhere you want to go. Room service takes an excessive amount of time. perhaps due to the extensive number of rooms in the hotel.

The location is about 10min away from the city center. Great pool and nice compound. They also have beautiful horses on site. Our issue was with how the staff dealt with the cockroach that was found in our room. For a 5 star hotel we were not expecting to find that in our room. The staff didn’t make any compensation while we were there and shrugged their shoulders. It wasn’t till after we emailed they offered a free night for our trip back which could be never. Also we had a number of bill issues. Make sure to double check your bill as our rate and multiple chargers were incorrect on our bill.

No variety in food choices- service was so slow we had to ask for water, an adapter multiple times, has to call two times to get the sink unclogged. Food was really not up to standard - sushi was terrible and inedible. Definitely not 5 star hotel due to this

The staff that made this experience that can’t be measured by only 5 stars. Hassna arranged everything for us few weeks in advance for our arrival -from hotel pick up to the room big enough to accompany three guests. That was true peace of mind for us. We were greeted by huge group of administrative staff in the lobby area with refreshing Moroccan tea. Hotel grounds impressed each and every day because we found some new details either in design, pictures, ceilings or light fixtures. But the biggest impression still was the staff. Each and everyone from Security staff who took me to pharmacy, the guys who were at the front door and greeted each and every time, beyond helpful front desk, staff of the lobby and the pool staff who brought us night tea and housekeeping staff who ensured every single detail to make us feel more than welcome and feel like home. We would like to recognize and thank you for all your hard work and extra smile because that what makes our vacations great and memorable. Sometimes it is not about the places we see and delicious food we eat, it is all about how people make us feel. Selman Hotel staff is definitely an example of greater than 5 starts in customer service and satisfaction. Highly recommended by us.

We had an amazing stay at Selman, the hotel is very beautiful and attention to detail exceptional. I particularly loved the advanced riding lesson. I don't have any criticisms, my only feedback is that I would like a more varied menu, especially for during the day when you would like some simple flavors, more cosmopolitan and light bites by the pool rather than fine dining and relatively heavy flavors and dining such as Foie Gras which I am very much against anyone for animal welfare reasons. The Spa and all other areas exceed expectation. Overall beautiful and very friendly, accommodating staff.

Upon entering the property, you are transported to another place and time. The hotel and its grounds are beyond impressive. The interiors are complete with fine antiques, plush upholstery and an impressive art collection. Everything down to the signature scent (Moroccan incense oil) make this an incredible destination. Additionally, the stables and collection of the world's finest Arabian horses is an added perk.

One of the best hotels i have ever been. The entire hotel is quite exquisite.The rooms are amazing and so are the grounds. It has an amazing pool, check the pictures. Also a heated pool at the spa area. Ovearall it was so peaceful. This is certainly a place to go for a romantic getaway. Also good for families as kids will love the gardens and horses. Try it, definitely worth it!!

From receiving our tasty complimentary welcome drink by our consigere within one minute of our arrival to the attentiveness of the poolside staff, this property shows its true five star rating colors. Youseff, the consigere, on staff totally made our stay. He took care of arranging the best city tour I've ever had to making sure all our transpiration needs were met on a daily basis. He truly exemplifies the meaning of detailed white glove service. He is an asset to the property owners team of highly qualified employees. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't be writing this review if it weren't for how amazingly well he treated us. (Even though the rest of our stay was absolutely flawless.)

Nice hotel but far from the touristic area. The hotel is in the middle of empty fields. The service staff is extremely polite but the service is really slow it takes about 30 min to order a drink or to get a beach towel. The hotel also has zero tolerance for early cancellations if u decided to check out early. Terrible international policy knowledge. Please do yourself a favour and stay away from this property

My wife and I selected Morocco for our honeymoon and my only major wedding task was to handle this. I did my research, identified Selman Marrakech and the hotel staff did the rest. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff was outstanding. They provided a beautiful and delicious cake and champagne in our hotel room, greeted us with warm smiles, and secured safe roundtrip travel to the city and other places when we wanted. The hotel is only three years old and gorgeous. The pool staff was superb. The pool was incredibly beautiful. They had a horse show of award-winning thoroughbreds and a DJ that played the best music at night. We sent our compliments to the DJ and he surprised the us-- the honeymoon couple-- with a CD collection of songs on our last day. I travel all of the time and this was the first time that I made a point to tip virtually every staff person we interacted with: concierge (two), the assistant manager, the doorman, of course the maid service...(I'm forgetting some folks). The general manager was on vacation for most of our stay, but personally met with us and asked about our stay on our last day when he returned. One can't ask for a better staff experience.
