We like The Viridian Resort, because it is quiet, and clean. The staff are always friendly and polite. It is also close to shopping, restaurants and bars. If you are expecting a flash resort, than don't stay here. As previously stated, we like this resort, and the pool is great.

Tucked back from the busy street, it’s like a little peaceful oasis amongst the really loud hustle bustle in the middle of Patong. We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

Absolutely amazing Team! Preawa and her entire staff were friendly and accommodating. The resort is conveniently located near everything- you can walk just minutes to the beach, food, shopping, massages, night markets, or catch a ride for island tours or any of the great attractions the area has to offer. The daily breakfast buffet with smiling faces, live egg/omelette station and many delicious options was a great way to start each day! Our only feedback is the beds could be a little more comfortable, otherwise great place to stay overall, we will definitely return to the Viridian!!

The place had a heavy, suffocating smell that made everything feel gloomy and oppressive. The rooms were cramped, offering no sense of privacy, even though there was a balcony. But honestly, it didn’t feel private at all – we could hear every sound from the rooms on either side. The noise was constant, and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, so I barely managed to get any sleep. It all just added to the feeling of frustration and discomfort.

We've stayed here before in 2017 and planned another trip in 2020 - Covid squashed that one. We returned because it is in a great location which is surprisingly quiet & reasonably priced. 2nd level room offers a private balcony & a nice view of the pool area. As per other reviews the property is old & a bit run down but the staff work hard to ensure your stay is comfortable and you have everything you need. The pool is cleaned every morning and they are constantly cleaning, tidying gardens and sweeping. In 2017 the breakfast was not much & we ate outside the Resort but a lovely Couple are working wonders with the Breakfast and menus. You will find they are open to any suggestions for menu items. Good work with the Cheese and Sultana Scones and the omelets are good as well. Breakfast is TBH 250 pp and they offer juice, tea, coffee and biscuits between 11am -2.00 pm everyday for free. Ryan speaks 5 languages and his beautiful partner is Thai born and they are more than happy to assist you with any enquiries, but we found the reception and cleaning staff also very helpful and friendly. Our stay was for a bit of a layback holiday, catch up with friends, do a couple of day trips and have some dental work done. This location is close to the night life, the JungCeylon Shopping Centre and Bangalow Road. We hired a 160cc near new Honda Scooter from across the road, booked our tours with Jai at the little kiosk for at the driveway entrance to the Resort and the Dentist has two offices one north, and one south of the Viridian about 5 minutes walk. I look forward to our next stay.

The resort is getting old, but it is close to shopping, restaurants, and bars. There is very little noise from the surrounding area, and the staff are fantastic. We love the pool, which is always clean. Breakfast was adequate for our needs. It is pleasing to have breakfast again at the resort.

Reception lady we had on checking in who was young with very long piggy tails in her hair was unfriendly when checking in , however the management team were outstanding and most helpful and attentive. Room only has 2 pillows for the bed and no more available in the room Dirty blood mark on walls near towel hook that we had to clean off. Fast wifi Cold pool and clean not overly big but adequate, however pool pump was visible and noisey . Great cold aircon Bed very hard and uncomfortable , however after advising management they fitted a pillow topper which helped. Room blind was a pull up so you couldn’t have your window open with sunlight without others looking in . No iron available at hotel No hand towel or face washer provided In rooms. Gardens are lovely and well kept Tv had no decent chanel or movies to watch Only one bedside table . Room was modern spacious and clean If you want your room made up you need to place a sign out in the morning and house keeping do a great job Only 12 pool lounges available which was not adequate being the hotel was fully booked . No room service , however breakfast was available each morning at cost of 250baht which is a lot considering you can right out the front for the same at much less . Look for the cost you pay its adequate just don’t expect a lot and you will be happy . The location is perfect .

Not the worst hotel I have stayed at but certainly the worst I have stayed at in Phuket. This hotel to me is just one step up from a hostel. Location is too bad. I didn’t like that you have to ask for fresh towels and to have your room brushed out. There was a smell of damp in the room that I have not had in any other hotel in Phuket. Also not enough Simner’s for the size of hotel.

Don't go near this place. Is nothing like the photos. Would not give it a half star. I walked into my room and turned around straight away and asked for money back for the two weeks stay. To which they continue to deny. It was seriously so bad. I arrived at 6pm and left and spent the next 3 hours trying to find some were else half reasonable to stay. My trip doubled in price within an hour of arriving. Seriously you wouldn't not leave your pet in this place. Don't go near the joint it really is terrible.

Location is good, 5 minutes walk to main shopping centre and Bangla Road. The big problem is the condition of the hotel! The walking paths are cracked or broken and very uneven. The room and fittings are very old, front door wouldn't close unless it's forced with body pressed against it, air con filter was filthy and doubt it's ever been cleaned, dust under the bed and behind the mattress. The lighting is poor and only half of them worked. Unfortunately there's no breakfast available so you will have to find it elsewhere, becomes a problem when it's pouring rain. The best part of this hotel is the pool, it's big and peaceful. The main reason I would never stay at this hotel again is because of a staff member. My check out time was 12pm but at 11.30am someone was loudly banging on my door. I opened it and it was the female reception employee, telling me to check out immediately. I said checkout is 12pm but she kept demanding that I must check out immediately. I couldn't believe how rude she was acting and was trying to explain that I still had half an hour and had to finish packing my case. I checkout out at 12pm and she was the only person at reception. We didn't talk, I gave her my key and she gave me my cash deposit back. Never again

Was a fantastic stay, but sadly it was let down at the last minute at check out. My partner dropped a mall bit of kebab meat on the sheet on the last night which left a small mark of chilli sauce the size of a 50p coin on the sheet. At check out they insisted on bringing the sheet to reception to show me and my partner the terrible deed along with every person who walked through the area on the way out of the hotel. They then spoke very loudly that it would need to be sent out for deep cleaning and tried to ask for 200B. Now as they only charge 50B per kilo for laundry I was not impressed at the charge. It was not about the £4:59 cost but the way they went about it considering we did not have room service for five days, I think putting a bit of vanish on the stain which offended them so much was not a big ask. I agreed to give them 100B and left the hotel as we had a taxi waiting for us. Let’s be realistic, we were in Patong in a three star hotel where there were a significant amount of single men with different lady friends each night and day (this did not offend us) and I am sure they have had much more to deal with than a little chilli sauce spillage.

Good place to stay, only 5 minutes walk to Bangala Road and 10 minutes to the beach. Small complex so a bit more personal than the big resorts, though this time the staff weren’t as friendly as the staff there a few years ago. No longer a spa onsite but there are plenty just out on the street. Breakfast is blah, needs to improve, but the restaurant meals are good. Small pool but it’s lovely to relax in. Complex is very clean, but needs a good update. Wouldn’t pay full price, but worth it if you get a good discount.

The stay was good. The hotel looks nice, and had everything u need for a short stay, but found some ants in the toilet. We didn’t use any of the facilities, but the swimming pool looks good, saw some guests enjoying it during the day, however as we just need to spend the night for shower and sleep, so it is worth the money. The location is good, 12 mins walk to patong beach area. But after this we changed to a big resort in Rawai that we could actually use the facilities. So it wasn’t fair to compare.

The Viridian resort was value for money, the staff were friendly and and couldn't be more accommodating. some areas need updating which from what i saw looks like they are slowly doing, it would be nice if the pool lounges had cushions on them because after a while they become uncomfortable, breakfast was O/K but mixing it up a bit would be good. All in all it was centrally located for our requirements easy walking distance to Bangla Rd, Jungcelyon shopping centre and the beach. My wife and myself would definitely stay there again

Room was comfy but suggest new pillows & bathroom door in need of repair as bottom panel had wood rot which ended up in shower. This is my third stay at this hotel. They appear to be refurbishing rooms. Rooms are clean, and my last room had separate shower recess and toilet which is good, this is not consistant in every room, and is not advertised as an option when booking a room. Overall happy with stay and staff.

Chose this accommodation as the main purpose of our trip was to have dental work done. It was bacically across the road- but what was a pleasant suprise. It is a lovely little resort. No noise considering in is right in the hub of Patong Beach and walking distance to all you need. The staff work hard to ensure your to stay is great. The pool and grounds are maintained every day and even though we had a problem with the air conditioning the staff worked on resolving the problem and we were moved next door when this became a larger job. Once relocated, our vacant first room was given a full overhaul. Even the balcony was cleaned with a high pressure cleaner. The rooms were spotless, serviced every day and we would have no hesitation in recommending or rebooking ourselves.

Stayed here three nights and it was quite good although wifi not very strong. Staff okay, only hotel we have stayed in so far where they take your key at checkout and race up to your room to make sure you haven't damaged anything, found this a bit over the top as it is quite an old resort. Overall I would say it is good value for money.

Thanks very much ! What a disgusting place . As soon as I arrived i was hit with unexpected charges.The manager spoke to me like I was some sort low life . If you are going to charge extra to bring friends to your hotel , put that on your web page . If you recieve a booking that says " smoking room a must " and you dont have smoking rooms , dont accept the booking ! I had insect lavae crawl over me during the middle of the night .! A disgrece . I dont recommend this place to anyone .

Great location, close to Bangla Rd and shopping centre not far to walk to beach. Very clean rooms with very friendly and approachable staff. I read reviews of hotel prior to going and I was put off by what I read. In my view, the negative reviews and comments I read were totally not what we experienced! The staff speak excellent English, are always smiling and friendly and I personally watched them manage a number of very aggressive guests which they did so in a highly professional but firm manner. Breakfast was buffet and replenished quickly and caters fall all nationalities. My only negatives, if I had to be picky, was the main pool is very deep (1.6m no shallow area) although they do have a children's pool and my bed was very very firm. In future I won't read reviews and take them at face value as we had a great time at this hotel.

-Pros: close to patong beach, bangla road, jungceylon mal, baanzan Market and everything. restaurant food was good and restaurant staff was just excellent. attentive and nice. from bartender to waitresses. -Cons: first i emailed them to book transfer from airport and no answer. then i booked myself through hotel site and got confirmation email but at the airport, NOBODY was there. called hotel via Skype over airport wifi and management said there was no register of charging my booking so there was no booking. paid 1000bht to taxi to take me to hotel and same management guy said he'd make up for it by letting me know that the taxi was 300bht cheaper than hotel transfer. and smiled at me. -it wasn`t `till last day that they finally left us the green pool towels in the room. -shower hanger was a broken and they make it looks like shower and toilet are in different spaces in the pics but they are right in front of each other.

Room 2102 was good, ground floor, sitting area out front with two chairs and table, room had seating bench at window that could double for 3rd sleeper. Breakfast a bit week, no bacon, cold chicken sausage and lunch meat squares, eggs, juice and coffee where the high point for me but there is much room for improvement. I stayed here several times a decade ago months before and after the Tsunami; the gardening and pool area that make this a hidden oasis within an area of Patong Beach that has grown significantly around it.

Stayed here for 5 nites.The resort is located close to to the shopping malls.Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is standard.Very safe as the guards were always on patrol.It is very affordable with some great facilities including a pool, restaurant, bar and spa. Enjoy my stay there . Definitely recommend staying if you enjoy that resort feel.

We had sceptical to this hotel as it is pretty cheap for a hotel in the middle of the town centre, but were happily surprised by the standard of the hotel. This hotel is perfect for anyone looking to stay close to Patong center. The shopping mall and the beach front are both 5 min away, the location is great. When we arrived we were shown a room on the second floor with no balcony and a very small bathroom. After noticing that almost all the other rooms had a balcony we asked if there was another room available, there was but we ended up paying 500 baht a night for the upgrade. The upgraded room was on the ground floor with an outside sitting area and also the bathroom area was much nicer, with the toilet and shower in separate rooms. The upgrade was well worth it. The room was perfect size with enough storage space. The bed was comfy an not too hard. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel bar was great. The drinks were good and they often had happy hour. Never tried the hotel restaurant apart from breakfast, the breakfast was ok, but not a lot of choice. The pool/garden area is beautiful. But needs new sun beds! The only negative thing is that there are occasionally rats in the garden/pool area. This is a problem in the whole of Patong, so does not necessarily mean its the hotels fault, however they should think of ways to prevent this.

Check in easy but a $ 100 cash deposit requried at time of check in. Rooms are small but clean. We had a ground floor room just behind the breakfast area where there seemed to be an abundance of rats. We generally dont expect too much as far as breakfast goes but what was on offer was very dismal. Staff made litte or no effort to refil empty platters of warm food. Coffee was cold. The pool area is nice with plenty of trees for shade and some sun for those who want to sunbake. Downside is that the sun beds are old and grotty and in desperate need of a clean or even better they should be replaced. Having a late flight out we asked for a late check out only to be informed that it would be a 1000 baht even though we had been guest's there. We ended up going to another hotel for the day and only paid 600baht. Location is good and that is the only reason for staying there.

Our stay at Viridian was pleasant and we had a nice view of the pool area, which is in a tropical setting with palm trees and a lot of green. The hotel staff was helpful. The breakfast is nothing special really. The neighbourhood was okay, but I wouldn't stay in Patong beach again. There is a huge lack of quality dining, with the tourist industry taking over everything. The shop owners are very aggressive and we felt unsafe while walking on the streets. The only place to find nice food is the market behind the shopping centre, being very tasty and affordable. There are a lot of amenities around the hotel- laundry services, tourist boards and massage centres. The bus stop to phuket town is just 10 min away from the hotel.

At the Viridian I felt like I was in a little private jungle. The view from our room was a garden view, around the pool were beautiful palms & plants. It is on the back road from the beach with a lot of traffic but there was no noise even laying when around the pool. Plenty to eat at breakfast but disappointed they don't cook true bacon, but this is in many resorts due to moslem influence. Could cook bacon on request, as the ham is tasteless. Bed is quite firm

The good: Location - approx. 5 min to Bangla, Jungceylon. 2 pools of varying depth. Front counter service - Efficient, courteous. Change of room no problems. trees and plants gave a nice feel. Good WIFI. The front bar (Mango). Free tea & coffee (not a given elsewhere). The bad: breakfast a non event. Bathroom / toilet poor design 3 day stay: Overall this hotel had a cheap feel to it, although as per above there wasn't anything hugely wrong. Get room away from main drag for quiet & a better pool view. Would I stay here again. No. FOR ALL HOTELS: Be aware of what appears to be in some cases 'ghost' entries that artificially inflate hotel rating (i.e. Traveller & country). Not always the case but...for your consideration!

I normally try to be as positive when writing a review but unfortunately this hotel did fall short of expectations on a number of issues. These were as follows:- 1. The 'delux' room safe was so poorly fixed (to a thin plywood backing) that it became instantly detached from the wall! Frankly, a child of 18 months would have had no difficulty in doing this. The maintenance staff were unable to repair. 2. The locking mechanism on patio doors to the balcony overlooking the main road was less effective, given the rather obvious external access to the balcony and the lack of security an alternative room was requested.- took 3 days to effect. 3. The double bed of the new room was fitted with a single duvet cover I'm 1.84 M tall -this was quickly changed by the staff. 3. Room serviced without any loo paper what so ever! - once more quickly rectified by the on duty staff. 4. Broken glass (bottom of a beer bottle) hidden under the edge of the bed, 5. The mosquito mesh in the bathroom had a very healthy 3 mm thick layer of dirt and dust - clearly sometime since it was cleaned. 6. Swimming pool OK, but quite a lot smaller than photographs suggest. Water was clear when the 'additional and Heath Robinson style' filtration unit was operating-- which strangely enough is not shown in the photos! When removed, the water became unacceptably opaque. To be fair to the hotel there were positives. 1. The front staff were accommodating. 2. Early morning call were spot on. 3. Breakfasts were fine

The hotel is a little oasis in the middle of Patong, with palm trees and gardens all snuggled around the 2 pools, one for kids and a deeper one for adults, made for a pleasant stay. It awas the only hotel in the area with an established garden where you could hide from the sun if you wanted. The rooms are a little old but they are refurbishing them at the moment so soon they will all be like new. The staff are great, they even let us use a room free of charge till 6pm. on the day we left so that the family could have somewhere to get ready for the airport. The breakfast was adiquate but not a great variety but there was the egg man in the corner and that made up for not having any bacon, (love bacon in the morning when on holiday). I would definitely stay there again and I will recommend it to everyone I know who is going to Patong.

we stayed here from the 30th august till the 14th sep 2015 with another couple,we found it to be near the shops,resuarants,not far from the beach,they are renovating some rooms at the moment and been tidy up the garden, the boss man comeand ask for any suggests we may have to help to inprove the place,the staff were friendly and helpful.the breakfast was basic but nice.we would stay again

The Viridian resort is located right in the midst of Patong! There are hundreds of restaurants and shops near by and it takes less than 5 minutes to walk to the beach! The hotel itself was good value for money. Our room was comfortable and cleaned daily by a lovely woman who was more than happy to provide us with clean towels, etc. All of the staff were all pleasant. I would recommend!

Only positives would be that the hotel was in a good location and it had a nice pool. As for the rest, on arrival the staff were most unhelpful and extremely rude to us (wouldn't help with check in, tours or getting back to the airport at end of our stay). When we got to our room, there was a big sign on the wall saying to keep doors and windows shut due to bugs and mosquitoes. On investigation the door wasn't sealed and you couldn't shut the windows in the toilet and shower, therefore we had heaps of Mosquitos, a slug and a cockroach in the room. We invested in some bug spray that night to fix the problem. Survived the 4 days but would definitely not stay again.

The hotel is located in a good spot but like a lot of the hotels in paton they need so refurbishment and some of the guests have no concideration for other the breakfast needs improving and changing instead of same same everyday... gardens and pool nice but need to do something aabout the flies as annoying when trying to sunbath

Devastated about the deposit . Its too big whereas not so much things inside the room. They put us in 4th floor and no lift . Need to carry luggage . The internet connection is very bad inside the room .

Definitely not 3 stars I would rate this hotel as a 2 star at the most. Pool area is small but nice Room was very small. No power to charge phone in the room Only on the basin near bathroom. Bed was ok to good. Bathroom was terrible. Small, A shower head on a wall and that's it. Water pressure and hot water was good. Location was good. We moved hotel after a couple days. It's a case of you get what you pay for I guess. I booked this early and paid a premium which was around $70\night Checked the same room closer to the day and it was around $40 Definitely not worth more than $40/night. Breakfast was ok Overall, just ok. I wouldn't take my partner or family there. I would only go back if I got it really cheap and there was nothing much left to book.

On arrival I found out that my pre-paid room was overbooked and they tried to send me to another hotel. Never agree! Always insist that your room should have a balcony and a pool view, since some rooms have none of these but are sold at the same price, which is quite unfair.

We stayed here for one night inbetween other flights. The hotel was very basic but for what we paid I felt that it was fair. The bedding was clean, the room was clean- a bit rundown though. The shower and toilet were part of one small wet area room, with only a shower curtain separating the shower from the toilet bowl- but the water was hot and it served its purpose. The airconditioning was good and worked well. Breakfast was good and quite varied, we felt it was good value. We did not use the pool facilities. We kept our luggage at the hotel while we spent the day shopping before our flight, the bags were kept safe and we had no hassles with that. The hotel is right in the heart of the action in Phuket and a short walk from Bangala road. If you are after a clean simple place with no frills then this delivers.

Hotel location is perfect! We parked our car and walked around. Walking distance to bangla street,juncyelon, night market and patong beach. The only thing we were UPSET is the pool was closed for maintainance without prior notice.

I enjoyed my 12 nights at this hotel. It ticks all the boxes for a basic 3 Star Hotel. All the rooms have a small balcony with table chairs and clothes drying rack. The Hotel staff were very friendly. The location was good, 3 minutes to Jungcylon Shopping Centre and 5 minutes to Bangla road.Overall it is very good value for money and I recommend..

Had great time with my wife and we rented a jeep and discovering part of the island. Went for parasailing at the Patong beach. Had a day island tour and hoping 4 island, decent buffet lunch provided on board and served with lot of local fruits. Great experience of canoeing and swimming at Phang Nga Bay and Long island.

This is by far the worst hotel/area I have ever been to. Upon arriving, my first stop was the pool, and it was full of old people with their "weekend girlfriends". These people are child aged and its sickening to see this in person. One day the cable went out and I was told "oh, go next door and get 2 women, you have big bed". The front desk had told me to get a "girlfriend". The room was so dirty, and the bed was stained that I slept fully clothed above the sheets. The walls are paper thin, and I had to listen to rented girlfriends all night for a week. The area around the airport is the worst I have ever been to as well. It's a 1 star hotel in the middle of a third world country and it shows.

If you are looking for a luxury stay in resort & wanted to spent more of your time in resort then stay away from viridian. Staff are Rude, very old furniture in rooms, small swiming pool , leakage in Ac in our room 4205 & Flush is not working.....One more thing if you loose or damage even the empty lotion & shampoo bottle you hv to bear cost of 1800 bhat for per bottle, So fearing that i even didnt touch the bottles.Location is good, Near Bangla Road, Patong Beach , Hardrock Cafe & Indian food option.

Would probably not stay again. I ended up moving out of this hotel to one down the road. The location is excellent. On the main road but not noisy. Pool is a little dirty, however I did see some people use it. Because of the amount of trees and water, there are a lot of mosquitos. Because of this and the old smell of perhaps wood in the rooms. I decided to move hotels. Price was ok when I booked. They also are not guest friendly. i.e. if you bring a guest back they will want more $ even if you paid for two people. I also did see them argue with some other guests, who were unhappy with their rooms. They did provide mosquito repellant however I was bitten quite a bit.

The room given to us has a drainage smell. TV cabinet is not in good condition with a huge crack and algae was formed on the wall. The spring of the mattress was also spoilt and slanted to one side. Having said this, the location is near to the busy Patong Beach.

Nothing terrible, but nothing outstanding. The pool area was not very appealing, and the room could have done with a better clean. Also a bit strange to have to hand over a significant amount of cash (2000THB) as a "security deposit". In saying that the location is pretty good in the heart of Patong and close to all the action.

This is a good hotel for the price. The photo on the internet is of the refurbished rooms only. The other rooms are still to be done. The hotel is in a great spot walking distance to everything. Many restaurants are close by. The breakfast is pretty simple but enough to fill you up. The pool are is nice with lots of sun beds. The greenery around the pool leaves the pool and surrounds in the shade for most of the day, only few spots in the sun. The staff at the hotel are great and always very helpful.

Read the reviews and were prepared for the worst. For the money could not have hoped for better. Good big room ,good bed ( made up each day) great air con ,worn out shower recess, overlooking the pool, breakfast OK Western food like Formula1 plus Thai, staff friendly and helpful. We were on the main road but had no trouble with the 24 hour noise. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a mid range hotel in a third world country .

Stayed here recently in the best room and enjoyed it. We did have cockroaches in the room due to the mould in the bathroom and toilet. Our front door wouldn't close unless slammed hard occasionally waking the next room. The safe wasn't bolted down so could be removed (it was light). Otherwise good location and price. Breakfast is simple but better value to eat elsewhere. Would stay again but would request different room.
