Amazing hotel in an amazing location for a relaxing luxury holiday. Close to the beach and in a very relaxed setting. The main pool is a bit too cold and prices are a little high but the hotel itself is excellent

Hotel is well appointed very comfortable and nestled in the sand dunes in a lovely location. Unfortunately the staff in the pool bar & Le Plage restaurant offer very poor service. Waiting for lengthy periods of up to 25 minutes to receive your drink after initially ordering is not acceptable. Ignoring you whilst sitting at the pool bar waiting to place your order is not acceptable. We also found the food in the buffet restaurant very bland, one night lots of salad & no dressing available. Not all dishes are labelled so you are unable to see what is on offer. Reception staff appear unfriendly & do not seem to have the necessary people skills required. Many seats used for dinning are on sofas which are not suitable or comfortable for that purpose. One morning we were stuck in the lift for 25 minutes having broken down whilst between floors. There was little or no concern shown by the staff who eventually secured our release. Needs to improve on the above before we would consider returning

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your lovely hotel. Food throughout the hotel was delicious and prepared with love. Perhaps we would have preferred less music in the beach bar and just to enjoy the sound of the waves. Our room was outstanding and we were looked after by 3 polite, smiling, lovely ladies ( Zahira, Leila and Sukehna) who kept the room clean and tidy. Wonderful to have rose petals on the bed greeting us as we arrived. The concierge seemed a little confused to point out the location of the hotel on a map and we would have preferred more tourist information to be made available in the hotel. We will not hesitate to recommend the hotel and its facilities to our friends and colleagues.

I had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Agadir. The food was excellent with a great variety, the ambiance was elegant and relaxing, and the staff were attentive and always smiling. Everything contributed to a truly pleasant experience — a perfect place to relax and enjoy the charm of Agadir.

So this is probably the best hotel in Agadir but it still isn’t that great. The good news is location is amazing, only one of two hotels directly on the beach, not across the prom from the sea. The 5km long surfing beach (long flat waves ideal for beginners, standing up easy!) is pretty special if you like big waves, although it dark not golden sand. Pools and landscaping also excellent, although only heating one small pool in October is a bit poor, beautiful large pool deserted given temperature. Rooms size and value also great. Bad news organisation at check in very poor, why does it take 30 mins to check in? Not a queue just not organised! Food was very hit and miss some good meals some poor. Ingredients good but over or under cooked or poorly seasoned, should be an easy fix. Breakfast buffet was great, it was lunch and dinner that’s an issue, especially room service and the Spanish restaurant. Also excess room noise till 11:30. Appreciate the hotel will have outdoor functions but that is a late cut off for families with kids. 10 or 10:30 more appropriate.

The most disorganised hotel I have ever stayed in. Staff are friendly and the facilities good but management polices make this hotel terrible.never seen so many people complain about service in one hotel. Upset stomachs days after arriving in 3 out of 4 of our party. Waited for ages for food in the two main restaurants. You order which then goes to some one to key it in. You then wait and wait. Nobody seems to have the authority to do anything. Tables left dirty for ages. Could not get served on the beach by the la plage restaurant when eventually walked to get serviceshad to come from pool bar the other end so coffee cold when it arrived. Management seem more focused on corporate events and paying guests are an inconvenience. (Bank of Africa event, fashion event) Would not stay at Sofitel hotel ever again

We stayed at the Sofitel in mid-October and it is undoubtedly a beautiful hotel in a great location. However, there are several areas that could be improved. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic – there wasn’t anything I wanted that wasn’t available. The pools were lovely, and the spa, while excellent, was disappointing in that guests have to pay extra to use it. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the showers were lovely, which made the room itself a very pleasant place to relax. The check-in process was very lengthy, which is the last thing you want after a long journey. Check-out was even worse; as we were rushing to the airport, we ended up waiting nearly half an hour. I would have expected everything to be prepared and settled in advance for departing guests. There were also some unexpected charges that we had already clarified during the long check-in. The staff were generally lovely, but I did notice a tendency to serve guests who spoke French before those who spoke English. Service at the beach restaurant was particularly slow. We waited about twenty minutes for a single Coke, and when we asked again, the waiter admitted he had forgotten but continued cleaning tables instead of bringing it right away. The food was also inconsistent – the pasta was very average, and the burger was served nearly raw, which unfortunately upset my stomach the following day. One more important note: the hotel should really consider treating the grounds for mosquitoes. We had stayed at another hotel just two nights before with no issues at all, yet after two nights here I counted over twenty bites, so clearly the other property had taken preventative measures that this one hadn’t. Overall, the Sofitel has wonderful potential and some excellent features, but the service, operations, and attention to comfort could be improved. I would consider returning in the future once I see reviews showing that these issues have been addressed.

This hotel was wonderful. We had a couple of issues with the room when we first got there which staff quickly resolved! Laila from the cleaning team was amazing! Lahouciane from the breakfast service team was a joy to speak to everyday! Down to Mohammed who I spoke to a lot for room service. Everyone made the trip so much wonderful. The restaurants were really nice! The Mexican tapas bar did the best churros we’ve ever had and the beach restaurants lamb chops and salt sea bass was sensational! Would recommend and return.

The hotel is Nice but realley expensive. A cup of coffee cost 4,70 euro. The buffet is 42 euro pp. In the buffet restaurant works a man named Ahsraf, it is not a friendly man. He is stressed and not kind to his co workers. He speaks unfriendly to his co workers in the restaurant were guest can hear his comment. I did’nt feel relaxed in the restaurant and feel sorry for this man co workers. Better have dinner in the Spanish restaurant were the waiters welcome you with a smile and very good services and vibe. For me the first and last time in the hotel

Dear Sofitel Thalassa Agadir, Maroc… It’s with Great Pleasure I’m able to review your spacious 5* hotel; we stayed during October ‘25 & found it to be a joy - a wonderful selection of Restaurants, Pools, Tennis, Water Sports, relaxing treatments… We stayed in the ground-floor Garden room 008 & our roof was taken care of by the very professional ‘Imad’ (please Thank him) & your breakfast Team Wiam & Mustafa Cashier… Your food is award winning, as is your Hotel A Joy Mona & Paul

Please do not look at any other hotel. This hotel is 5 star. Mr. Imad the butler is incredible he is happy man and kept your room very clean. In addition to Mr Imad all of the staff were very nice at this hotel. The restaurants are outstanding. If it was not for my stay at the Sofiitel Agadir Thalass See Spa Agadir I would have perhaps turned around and go the next flight home. Agadir is getting ready for the world cup in 2030 so everything was under construction. This hotel was not however it was a fabulous stay. You can walk on the sand from your room. They have lots of activities that you can book while you are at the hotel. My only downfall there is NO Coffee shop or pastry shop. There is no shopping at all within the hotel. Next door at the Sofitel hotel which is a short walk their restaurants are incredible and the shopping too. They also have a coffee shop and pastries. You can order tea from room service but nothing else. Overall this hotel is top notch.

We stayed at the Sofitel Agadir Thalassa with two rooms: a Junior Suite and a Garden View Room. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay – the location right by the beach is wonderful, the staff was mostly friendly, and the service was generally at a high level. Unfortunately, we encountered so-called Plaster Bag Worms (a type of moth larvae) in the Garden View Room but also in the staircases and corridors on the ground floor, which makes us think this is a more general problem of the hotel. On the higher floors, especially in our Junior Suite, we did hardly see these larvae. In addition, we noticed a lack of flexibility from the staff. For example, it was not possible to order a single glass of sparkling wine – only bottles were offered. Likewise, a Campari Spritz was initially refused, even though Campari was available; only Aperol Spritz was offered. Only after involving the management was it finally possible to get a Campari Spritz. In this regard, there is definitely room for improvement. On a positive note, the food at the hotel is excellent, and the pool and garden areas leave nothing to be desired – they are beautifully maintained and very relaxing. We also would like to highlight that TUI was very fair and compensated us for the inconvenience experienced (with the Plaster Bag Worms). Unfortunately, the hotel itself showed no flexibility or any gesture of goodwill, which was disappointing – especially for a property of this category. It’s a pity, because otherwise the hotel really offers everything you would expect from a Sofitel – comfort, style, and relaxation. We truly hope that management will address these issues promptly and permanently. Finally, a special thank you goes to Mbark at the breakfast restaurant , who looked after us wonderfully every morning and provided excellent service – this really made a difference to our stay.

I think the only reason to stay in Agadir is to stay in this Sofitel. A beautiful 'city resort' hotel, very spacious, beautiful gardens (hats off to all the gardeners), lovely comfortable spacious rooms (I had booked panoramic sea-view, got upgraded to Junior Suite, sea view over pool, beach and beyond). The hotel is very generous with supplying several bottles of mineral water in the bedrooms, replenished daily. Note that there are only 2 floors, the ground level is level 0, these are garden rooms, private from the main pool area but there is a path infront so not totally private. 2 swimming pools. The larger one is about 25m at its longest, it was a little chilly. The smaller pool is warmer though not very long, but quiet and relaxing to stay there. No children's pool but both have a sort of wide 'shelf' where it is shallow. The sun loungers are very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was very good, especially if you have a sweet tooth. The pastries are amazing... top quality... from the croissants, tarts, baguette, even freshly cooked doughnuts... I tried everything... more than I should but frankly the calories were well worth it! The choice/presentation of fruits were a little disappointing and only small dishes of savoury. The only negative that should be addressed was the cooking of the eggs (not omelettes which were excellent). Don't ask for poached eggs, you'll either get under or overcooked presented in a large puddle of water - no attempt to serve 'dry', even after I showed chef taking a spatular to lift eggs on to another plate . The fried eggs usually underdone, broken... no care taken. We dined in the Spanish and the Beach, both decent, enough choices and frankly for the quality and service, it is not overpriced. The hotel is located at the very end of the promenade so has direct access to the beach (with private raised area with sunbeds. It is peaceful and therefore feels like a resort hotel. Directly next to the hotel is the long promenade walk to the centre...so easy access to anything. There is so much to love about this hotel. The service throughout was good, charming too. Of particular note: Mereyme (does not wear glasses... just discovered there are 2 hence comment) at breakfast. She remembered our drinks order in particular cappuccino for me with no chocolate inside or on top! Every morning smiling, welcoming, efficient. Hasna and Maya at the beach bar which we visited daily, loved chatting with them too. And of course the charming Ilham who made up our room most days, she was a delight... should be more front of house.

This was the end of our short tour of Morrocco and what a beautiful place to stay. We booked a suite with sea view and got a premium suite with ground floor garden view which was absolutely fine. Rooms are stunning. Food is amazing from the huge choice of breakfast to several evening restaurants. Food quality is outstanding. Thalassa Spa is outstanding with multiple chill areas. Well kitted out gym. Hotel undergoing minor rep cations but that only near the gym but wouldn’t have known unless we saw them. Reasonably priced for the quality of resort. Would recommend and stay again.

As expected. Having thoroughly done due diligence, there were no surprises. Service - 5*. All were excellent. Smiley, not too intrusive unless you chose to engage then they were chatty. Timely and professional in all aspects. Mehem and Mohammad the best in the restaurant. Cleanliness - 5*. Best ever seen. Constant and thorough in all areas. Food - 5*. Used The Market restaurant on site for all meals. High quality and tasteful variety of dishes. Location - 4*. Knew in advance was end of the Promenade so quiet. No shops within 1 mile, restaurants about 0.75 miles. Activities - again knew in advance that choice was limited, didn’t come here for this. Room - 3* - the actual room is nice and big, lovely bed and pillows. Unfortunately on 3 nights, a few doors down has frequent ‘visitors’ followed by loud ‘activities’. Not ideal when wanting a good nights sleep. The holiday delivered exactly what we needed.

A beautiful hotel in a peaceful beachfront location. The pool areas and pools were very clean and well maintained. The gym was modern and well equipped. The beach bar and front were lovely but it does get windy so often access to the beach area limited. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet provided a range of foods and I guess like all buffets became a bit repetitive at times. Good range of vegetarian options which I appreciated. The hotel has direct access onto the promenade and we enjoyed walking along daily and it felt safe. It is a longer walk to Agadir centre and Marina - about 50 minutes (we did this once) and worth a visit. We also walked to the cable car and viewpoint which we would recommend. The traditional Hamman at the spa was a unique and unforgettable experience. Perhaps the biggest asset to the Hotel were the staff who worked very hard, were kind and friendly and made our stay very enjoyable.

Aesthetically pleasing, the grounds are lovely, the pool is serene but there are some basic issues to address which of course may have been unique to our experience but we could not overlook as never encountered these at a Sofitel. We stayed in a Junior Suite which had a large terrace and lovely views of the ocean. The room was generous size with a double sofabed and good range of amenities. We booked transfers through the hotel (roughly €50 each way) - Houcine, who works in concierge was very helpful, confirming everything over email pre arrival and then meeting us at the hotel. He even checked in with us day before departure as he wasn’t going to be working. Breakfast was included in our rate. The options were slightly lacking variety but quality of food was excellent and the staff were actually amazing. Would definately recommend paying the surcharge to have breakfast included as there is nothing really walkable in terms of restaurants / cafes, and the hotel do not allow food to be ordered in from outside. Therein lies a bit of an unfortunate constraint in staying here as the 2 ala carte restaurants have limited menus and the buffet for dinner is excessively priced (each meal will set you back €150 for a family of 2 adults & 2 children <11). We ended up getting taxis to the Corniche area or one of the malls for our evening meal. Unless we completely missed it there was no ‘entertainment team’ or evening programme, so if that’s one of the things you look for then it’s not the right hotel for you. The hotel advertise a private beach on their tripadvisor page - please be aware the beach itself is NOT private, however they have a small section designated to Sofitel loungers at the entrance (NB - you will need to walk through the public part to get near the water). We really didn’t mind the locals though, they were all very pleasent having a good time with their families, and the beach is nice with soft brown sand. Now on to the issues. At check-in the staff did not realise the room was prepaid (as I am sure most rooms are when you book a package), and proceeded to present us with a large invoice to sign, which despite being tired, thankfully we were switched on enough to spot but wouldn’t blame anyone if they just unknowingly went along with it. It didn’t really set the right tone. Furthermore no information about the resort was provided at check-in itself, but instead they take you on a walking “tour”. This comprised of showing us the pool, restaurants from outside, gym from outside, then whisked up to the room. Any information we got (and it wasn’t always accurate) was as a result of questions we asked rather than the guide telling us. Didn’t see the point. Would encourage the reception staff to use the sit down check-in process to introduce the resort and inform guests, then offer the tour as optional (not everyone wants to or is able to walk around after a long flight) - it will come across better and more welcoming. Oh and try to smile a bit more for all your guests! The room AC was faulty as not cooling below 24C which made for an uncomfortable first night. We were provided with a portable unit for the next few nights so we slept better but this started leaking on our last day and could not be resolved. We requested a fan but this never arrived so another uncomfortable night meaning sadly we came tired and left tired. They did offer to move us to another room in a different building which wasn’t really an option at 9pm on our last night. I would therefore recommend you check your AC is functioning adequately before you start unpacking. Housekeeping do a good job but worth being aware the card we hung outside the door for the room to be serviced was never noticed by the staff. On all our days we had to specifically call for the room to be cleaned and amenities to be restocked. Would we stay at Sofitel again - maybe, but would we stay here again - no it’s not for us.

Service was excellent, the room was spacious and beautiful, and the hotel’s location is very convenient—close to the marina and many great restaurants. The private beach access was a highlight that made our stay even more special. The breakfast buffet was generous with an excellent selection, and the entire team went above and beyond with their hospitality. Thank you 🙏 We would definitely stay here again.

Loved our stay in 2 modern rooms. The double bed was 2 singles joined together with a mattress topper but still comfortable. Friendly staff and generally attentive service. Check in took longer than I would have expected but tea and biscuits were provided while we were seated. Turndown service in the evening. Breakfast was exceptional: egg stations, freshly made doughnuts, crepe and pancake station, high quality and beautiful pastries and cakes etc.. Large pool area, no issues finding a sun bed. Excellent restaurants on site but nothing in the vicinity of the hotel. 10 min taxi ride to the main tourist area. Highly recommended.

Loved our stay in this resort. Beautifully refurbished rooms and spaces. The service is outstanding warm and welcoming at the breakfast and dinner; thank you Mohamed, Lahoucine, Oumaima, Hicham. The Kitchen headed by Chef Jacques is exceptional (the brioche, the cakes everything is utterly scrumptious), and we can’t thank enough Chef Youssef, Lahoucine (great doughnuts) and Khadija (crepes). Our housekeeper was super nice, even the security Youssef was most attentive. Everyone is so kind and management is present and benevolent, Mr Brahim Bouriqi and team are delivering a 5* Luxury experience. Best Sofitel I have ever stayed in.

We booked 2 rooms here and arrived at 1600 hours. We had to wait 1 hour for the room and the customer service was arrogant and as though they were doing us a favour. Check in time is normally 1500. What the management agreed was not carried through by the staff. Each staff member was looking to hussle and make a quick buck and not concerned about customer care.

Firstly I want to commend the staff, they compliment this 5 star resort and help it display the standards looking to be upheld. The hotel has an extensive pool and spa area, differing pool temperatures to suit one’s liking. Paired with extremely accommodating staff, that couldn’t do enough to help and this for us is what made our vacation what we needed… a chance to switch off! Executive Chef Jacques and his team made the most wonderful breakfast. I can honestly say it is the best buffet breakfast we have ever had. Dinner on the beach and a check in from Jacques’s to make sure everything was to our liking. Badr who serves drinks and food in the evening is a top waiter who always greets you with a welcome smile and his service time is very quick! Lastly but by no means least, Bader Laabih who is a waiter that serves breakfast and lunch by the pool in the day. Bader is one of the nicest people and his passon for delivering outstanding customer experience exudes in he’s manner. He truly made sure our stay was everything and more. Always made sure we were never without anything. I have a massive phobia of bees which I hadn’t mentioned…yet Bader had seen this and bought honey during our breakfast to keep the bees away. This to me highlights his intuition and how conscientious he is. Even just the small things with remembering our coffee order in the morning and insisting to bring our coffee and breakfast to us made our experience 10/10! He is a truly talented waiter (with perfect English skills I may add) that is an asset to Sofitel which we felt like we had to share! If you meet and are served by Bader on your next stay at Sofitel Thallassa Sea and Spa then you are very lucky. The hotel overall is one of the best if not the best place you can stay in agadir with beautiful grounds and even greater staff! We will definitely be coming back. Thank you! India & York

I really liked this hotel because of the serenity and the beautiful surroundings. I loved my room and housekeeping were absolutely wonderful. I had really high sleep quality there. The food was really beautifully cooked and it tasted fresh. Breakfast was literally a culinary delight and I will have to say the best I have actually ever had ..truth! Jaques the head chef and his team make the best patisserie I have ever tasted. The selection. was exceptional and it was literally like walking into an expensive patisserie in France. It was my first time in a Sofitel hotel, but I don’t think it will be my last somehow. There was very little that I didn’t like apart from the weather my friends which had to be the strangest weather I have ever encountered I would like to thank the reception team guest concierge and All members of staff from all the restaurants for giving me the best experience. Special mention to Mohammed from the breakfast restaurant who was really a true gentleman. I miss your humour and your wonderful hospitality. Please keep doing what you’re doing at this beautiful hotel and I wish you all great success in the future. Nadia X

We stayed B&B board in one of the newly refurbished deluxe rooms booked via Jet2. We were pleasantly surprised at how lovely this hotel is. Overall excellent service from the staff (housekeeping started out well, then a change of personnel mid way through the stay led to just average service). We particularly liked the restaurant near the beach for the evening - quite, relaxed and friendly service with lovely food. The beach side bar had a great chill out vibe for sunset. The Spanish Restaurant had too many staff fussing and stressing for it to be romantic, with the food being just average tapas fare. We didn't try the buffet restaurant as not fans of hotel buffet food although breakfast there was great. The outside spaces with plentiful tropical planting were gorgeous. The position in the town at the far end of the promenade was ideal for us as we love walking and easily managed to access the cable car, marina and town centre on foot. We walked to the Marjane shopping centre too to visit the supermarket. If your mobility is poor you would need to rely on taxis to get anywhere eg for a meal out or shops as no decent restaurants at that end. Overall a very enjoyable, comfortable stay and we would return.

An absolute heaven and paradise ... Pure escapism .. surrounded by beauty, serenity and a tropical oasis .. the design is just out of this world. Pictures do not do it justice ... So much more stunning in person. But credit where it is due, the level of customer service is 5000 out of 10 :) Yacine and Hassan were so lovely and welcoming from the second me and my 10 year old son arrived. The energy of the people who work here, like everyone has said, you can tell they truly care about your experience. The staff always have a smile on their face, it really made the stay top notch. We only stayed for 2 days but will stay for longer next time. During the evening the hotel completely transforms and you can forget all your worries and the hustle of life back in London. Did not want to leave. Highly recommend the tapas restaurant which was outstanding. The gentleman serving us was so lovely and helpful ; wish I could remember his name. Thankyou so much for the best time. P.S they have a gorgeous black cat Sophie that is well looked after. My son was very excited to see her. For any animal lovers please do bring treats for her as I will do next time :)

Back in Norway after a fantastic week at this superb hotel. Super service from the moment we arrived until we left. Clean rooms that were cleaned every day, and especially nice with new arrangements of rose petals every day. The hotel has a fantastic outdoor area with pools and green areas that we have never seen before. I would also like to highlight the hotel's fantastic spa, their restaurants with very attentive waiters. The breakfast was first class with a large selection and chefs who made hot dishes. Also very attentive waiters there. I would like to specially mention Lahoucine. We will definitely be back.

The staff here don't know how to look after customers or complaints. Our first room had tiles falling off the wall, unfinished grout and a musky odor. Our second room was fine, however the design of the basic rooms leaves a lot to be desired. They haven't been updated since they first opened by the looks of it, sub par for a 5 star hotel. More verging on a rundown 3 star room. When I wasn't with my wife, she would be asked what her room number is, this happened on 3 occasions. The staff aren't proactive, you must always call them over or get up and walk to them to get attention for little things. They never replenished our water in the 4 nights we were there, each time having to talk to someone. Or calling concierge. We were told and checkin that our return transfer would be complimentary, it wasn't and I had to have that removed from my bill. We burned ourselves at breakfast due to the faulty bread toster, staff just watched as things happened, no one ever asked to help. You must be self sufficient in this hotel, unless your Arab or French. The hotel manager was informed of all of this at checkout. No remedy was taken, if anything condescending remarks on how I said it was "okay" in the morning the single time she asked if everything was fine. I should've refused to pay the bill. Terrible place. 1 star. Ruined the end of our holiday.

Pro: overall this is a lovely hotel, well maintained with helpful staff. The 2 pools are great (one heated). The rooms are fine (bathroom and toilet on the small side but a nice size terrace). Breakfast buffet is decent. The restaurant on the beachfront is great. Con: The drinks and food at the hotel are a bit pricey (unsurprising I suppose for a 5*). The evening buffet is around £35 per head, but wasn't spectacular. We only went once, at 8.30pm and the staff were already packing away the food. As I said above, staff were overall very helpful and courteous. However a few staff can be a bit intense, especially when they know you're leaving soon. My wife was witness to an unseemly scene between 2 waiters who were obviously arguing (very loudly and almost physically) about who should serve her. No doubt this was about tips, and I have no problem with giving tips, but this was unacceptable. I will be writing to Sofitel to make them aware of this. None of that however should take away from the fact that this is a very nice hotel.

When we entered our room there was a terrible smell and we had to call reception, after a while someone did come and sprayed the curtains and left. The room had been booked for a couple. The service at this hotel is 2 star at best. After arriving we went to the bar where we waited 20 minutes to be asked what we wanted despite there only being 3 tables occupied in the bar. We ordered some food which they got wrong and was freezing cold and inedible. We eventually left the bar after an hour as no one bothered to come back to see if we wanted another drink. I had dealings with a manager and she behaved like a petulant teenager rather than trying to help us with a problem caused by the faulty hotel equipment. She was extremely rude and obnoxious. The breakfast is bread bought from carrefour not fresh at all and is worse than a 2 star hotel. This is never a 5 star hotel in a million years, it is a 2 star hotel with appalling management.

Hotel is nice customer service sucks from the beginning when i got There. Checkin took almost 1 hr and i had Booked online so checkin should never take the us long especially at a 5 star hotel. I called The reception 3-4 times to get me iron for the three days i was There, and nobody ever got back to me. They said they been busy because a lot of guest were checking in, that’s no excuse as they should hire more staff then if it’s getting busy. Overall hotel is nice but amenities weren’t all available, no outlets for plugins in bathroom overall my experience with Sofitel is bad from before and this just proved it even more, when checking out i told Then to bring someone to pick our bags, and they said they sending somebody 15 min later nobody is here so i ended Up taking my own bags to checkout to prove point. Taxi they told me to go outside and taxi will come...this a five star hotel which I’m paying for if i need Taxi then they should call me one to front door! Overall they need better customer service, there all polite but that doesn’t mean anything when you paying good money and not getting what u need!

The hotel itself is beautiful! Although, there were a few details that I thought were not of a 5 star quality. Our room was described as “Garden view” but our view was of the backside of the hotel, a road with quite some traffic and a parking lot. Also, on our second day there was no refill on water or the sanitary products like cotton buds and shower cap even though there was none left. To our surprise, we had to pay a 15 EUR fee for one bottle if we wanted to bring it to our room after being at the supermarket. Lastly, service was quite slow even if there were very few guests around.

Im rating them as they were truly a 5 star. Which they are not even close to a 4 star. Rooms are very small. Walls are very thin you can hear everything the others are doing. It took them 1 hour to check us in after a 6 hour drive. Terrible and on top of everything the manager did not allow us to cancel breakfast even after I told him we were not going to be eating breakfast and we had already been charged. We went for our honeymoon and I requested something /anything nice if they could help us celebrate our marriage and we got nothing but extra city tax and not even courtesy drinking water. I was very disappointed since they claim to be 5 star and morocco and very cheap but Everything in the minibar and bar was very expensive. In addition, There was no kind of entertainment what so ever. No stores nor restaurants walking distance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were lovely and had an unusual design with the bathroom in the middle which we liked. The breakfast is phenomenal, so much choice from the extended buffet. Our tip is to arrive early for breakfast as it can get busy. We used the gym which was clean, modern and spacious. We enjoyed the free yoga class too. We also had a day at the spa, which although expensive was a lovely luxurious indulgence while on honeymoon. It is possible to walk into the city centre from the hotel along the beach or promenade which we did on two different days. It took us about an hour at a leisurely pace and was a great way to take in the beach and various shops/cafes. Taxi’s are inexpensive and frequent however, costing just €5 to the centre. We had the evening buffet at the hotel one night which was incredible - lovely wide range of delicious foods and divine desserts! Overall a fantastic stay, highly recommended!!

The hotel and property were very spacious and beautiful, but the rooms are quite small, with room only for the bed and a chair. There is no room to place a suitcase. The distribution of the room is not practical, with the toilet distant from the shower and sink. No soap rack is available in the shower. One has to request towels from the poolside assistants, who often take a long time to bring them, and then don’t bring enough. Khalid at the pool was particularly unfriendly. Breakfast buffet was delicious and had a lot of variety. Reception and doorside assistants were excellent.

It was welcoming, nice but a bit run down - need a bit more attention when it comes to maintance, as it is a 5 star hotel. It would be nice to have a private beach only accessible for the hotel quests rather than a public beach. The buffet breakfast / dinner was really good with lots of different varieties of foods and desserts. Asma in the guest relations was really friendly, helpful and tried resolving any issues in a good manner and was very professional in her job. Maryam in housekeeping area paid attention to details when cleaning the room and always prepared a little surprise for us. She always goes extra miles in satisfying quests. Also very friendly, helpful and polite. P. S I would recommend for everyone to go to the paradise, which it's about an hour away, with a plenty lot of sunshine. It is definitely much warmer than by the ocean/beach.

No matter what time of day you went to the pool, there were always cabana’s or loungers available. The spa is expensive but with every treatment you book you get to use the whirlpool, steam room etc so you can make it worth while. The kids club at the Sofitel bay make it extra relaxing as you can leave kids there with a peace of mind. A hotel I will definitely recommend and will return to InshaAllah. Keep it up guys!

Lovely place to stay. Only criticism was the bar was very expensive so we had to leave the hotel every time we wanted an evening drink.

Service is not 5* service. Our rooms were rarely cleaned. Once they took the used towels and did not replace any. I had to chase them twice before they sent it. They do not replace the tea cups..i can go on.. Then at the end they charged me the full price even though i had paid though expedia!

We have travelled to Morocco several times this year opted to stay at Sofitel, I would not consider this a 5 star hotel, our room had to single beds when we asked we needed a double or king they just put a duvet on top to make it look as if it is a double bed. Our room was cleaned daily but not to a standard of a 5 star hotel we asked for a change of room which we were offered one facing the gardens and the other side to the reception

This is a new, modern property with luxurious rooms with balconies, rainhead showers and the highest quality sheets. The outdoor patio area is spectacular with many areas for sitting, lounging and sunbathing. The hotel pool towels were plush and readily available. There are lounge beds on the beach, which offered comfortable areas for watching spectacular sunsets. The hotel offers several dining options. Expect to pay higher prices for food and alcohol than local establishments.

Arrived to celebrate my honeymoon. Got to the room and had rose petals on the bed however the room was not very clean and had ants crawling all over the tables. The staff did not speak much English. When room service was ordered we were charged more than we should've been. They were accomodating in terms of the pool staff and having room service at the pool in the mornings. The hotel is nicer in the corridors but the rooms need proper cleaning as they are very dusty.

Cleaner could be better no water or fresh towels on several occasions, generally ok, food excellent and location wise was a bit out but there was a private beach though which was nice. Sun beds were not enough for everyone but service around the pool was great!!!!!

Me and my partner absolutely enjoyed every moment of our stay in Sofitel. A special thank you to all the staff including the cleaners and most importantly we would like to thank Amine and Faisal for taking good care of us. Both very wonderful people providing us with great hospitality services. Thank you, and we hope to see you soon. Love, from the latte and tropical juice couple

Great hotel. Obviously concept is dark with black interiors etc but you can easily see that before you book. Loved being at the quiet end of the promenade. Lots of walking and running which was great. Security guards very friendly. Front desk staff spoke little English and were very cold and difficult to liaise with

Morrocco has éxitoc and amazing food but at Sofitel they are missing this. Food is not up that good at patio and breakfast. In the room maid dies not replace towels but tries to put back old used towels . Hotel is too dark missing lots of light bulbs and the lighting in the room is horrible as if a child wired the electrical switches. Room is fantastic vie is fantastic. People and staff at the hotel are amazing .

Great experience, the only think they need to work on is the spa prices We did scrub for 180 that is very much. I went to the best hotel and scrub was way less expensive I think the management needs to work on spa prices

Extremely disappointed in the service. Told us breakfast was included at check in and then charged us for it. Closed pool restaurants early without notice, room service did not show up after ordering, had to call 3 times to get towels. Layout of room poor and not that clean for this level of hotel and hallways were not vacuumed. Definitely would not go back, many other options to choose from.

The hotel is smart and modern offering comfortable beach view rooms and a great variety of tasty authentic food at its selection of restaraunts. Live local music is performed in the evening. The pool is clean and surrounded by sun and relaxation beds. Service was mostly prompt and came with a smile. The spa offers a good selection of treatments. I'd recommend this hotel but advise it's not for holiday makers on a budget or with shallow pockets.

Wasn't a fan of the hotel décor, but to each their own. The staff seemed a bit tired at times (unnatural greetings), especially the room attendants. Not much choice for breakfast even though 220MAD. Hoped being in Morocco, there would be more authentic choices, but it only seemed to cater to Europeans (French), and for someone who is milk and wheat intolerant, there's hardly anything left to each except for omelettes. No menu to order, only buffet. Nice pool side design, and chairs. Even though the pool is said to be heated all year round, it was quite cold. Being a spa type hotel, would have thought they would at least had free sauna and spa facilities but nope. Had to pay around 20euros each to use the hammam. The beach location was nice. The rooms with a side view of the ocean are just that (a side view perpendicular). Staff aren't generally fluent in English, but it's to be expected being another country...and considering they speak more than 3 languages! Saying that though, French and any Arabic knowledge will be a plus, and waitresses will be more keen to serve you at breakfast, and not leave plates piling up like ours did.

This Sofitel is definitely the best hotel in Morocco. Situated in beautiful Agadir with its own private section for the beach, it definitely deserves to be called the best hotel in Morocco. I never felt unsafe in the hotel since the private area of the beach is always guarded. The design of the hotel is exquisite: very modern and overlooking the beach. It is connected to the older Sofitel and we can use the amenities there as well which is really convenient. The staff is extremely friendly, respectful, helpful and professional. They are always happy and smiling. I love the fact that there is live music both during breakfast and during dinner. The restaurant has gorgeous views on the pool and the beach beyond with an amazing selection of food. I would definitely recommend the Sofitel for anyone who goes to Morocco and Agadir!

We had nothing but bad service for the duration of our stay in this hotel. Complaints were not taken seriously and we did not feel valued as a customer. Staff were rude and spoke in French thinking we did not understand them whilst we listened to every bad word that they had to say. An example of this being when a receptionist acted as though he wanted to help us get a taxi but then told the taxi driver to 'charge 50 extra' so he could take the commission. Do not disturb signs are completely ignored ALL the time in the hotel. It's a complete invasion of privacy, especially when a member of the cleaning team wanders into your room whilst you are showering. Staff in this hotel also think it's acceptable to use your personal toilet inside the bedroom and leave faeces behind. It's completely disrespectful and you wouldn't have that sort of behaviour in any other establishment. I wouldn't recommend this "luxury" hotel to anybody. How it is viewed as one of the top hotels in Agadir is a mystery to me.

Hotel grounds and art were nice and maintained. Everything else was awful. Tries to be a 5 star, but falls severely short. - Extremely overpriced mediocre food - Absolutely awful service - Our room was not ready when we arrived at 3 am, they made us wait 30 mins to prepare a room - The sheets did not fit the bed and the mattress was exposed, that really disgusted me - Room was filthy and smelt like mildew It is obvious that the hotel put all its money into the art and design of the property, it falls short in every other way. We stayed at 8 different hotels and riads (5 to 3 star) throughout Morocco and this was by far the worst. I recommend checking out the boardwalk and nightlife. Stay closer to that area, you wont regret it. Great food and culture!

The suits are spacious and nice - highly recommended. The hotel doesn't have basic French specialties such as french toast for breakfast. In general - the breakfast doesn't meet up to European ***** standards so kind of disappointed. Their gym is very nice and won awards for best fitness gym in Africa. Spa is alright - but better in the hotels I tried in Casablanca. Overall, a decent stay.

I have been to many Sofitels all over the world and never had any complaints, that is until I visited this one. The hotel itself is nice but very dark. I wasnt a fan of the room layout,it was very dark you could barely see yourself in the mirror when getting ready. The staff at the hotel are the main reason I would never stay here again. They were extremely rude and unprofessional. They could all do with some training on customer service. My advice is your better of spending your money elsewhere.

Listed as 5 star hotel. Not our experience. Our room had dirty torn bedding, broken fittings and torn dirty soft furnishings and curtains, large areas of black mound all over shower tiles, smelly drains in shower, thick dust under and around bed, cockroaches running around sink and shower area, room not cleaned once in the week we were there nor sheets changed. Bird poo over balcony and balcony cushions, sink area swimming in wet soapy scum. I complained to the hotel management and nothing was done. Eventually the day before we left a Manager came to look at our room and apologised by giving us a free meal voucher for their buffet supper and a bottle of house wine. Didn't really make the holiday and our stay we'd had any better at this stage! have never stayed anywhere so dirty and foul! Feel ripped off having paid for a luxury five star hotel!

From start to finish the holiday was excellent. Rooms spotless, Food delicious in all 3 restaurants, Staff could not do enough to help. Only one little thing was that not all staff spoke English so we did have a few small communication problems, but nothing major and no way affected the holiday. The hotel is a French chain so most staff spoke French or Morrocan. We would 100% go back, nothing was too much trouble.

I enjoyed my last trip here and decided to take a break from work here again, the hotel is stunning and staff are nice, however I did get injured in the spa due to their maintenance error, my body got harmed quite badly, have recovered 90% from the pain and swelling, pressure in the spa water was too high and water was to hot, seemed like it was due to poor maintenance and no warning signs. They reduced the water pressure after the incident, however do recommend everyone to stay 1 ft away from the jets just incase they turn it back up. For religious people, I do recommend readying nazr dua to protect yourself from certain staff especially if you are wearing modest clothing in the pools.

This hotel offers a truly luxury experience right on the beach. It is the most perfect place to relax and indulge. The breakfast is amazing and the one restaurant we tried in the hotel was also exceptional. Although on the pricey side for Agadir, you really do get what you pay for as it was a truly luxury experience. The outdoor pool is great and the hotel has its own private beach, so there is really no need to leave the walls of the hotel if you prefer not to. The decor might not be to everyone's taste however - black and white throughout - although very smart, it is quite dark and austere. That is just a minor comment though on an overall amazing place.

We had a wonderful break at this Hotel recently. When we arrived the Hotel was very quiet because of Ramadan so it was like having the whole place to ourselves. The room was beautiful although a little small for three people but we managed. A lot of care is taken for cleanliness both inside the Hotel and in the pool area. We used the Hotel pool and the one next door at the Royal Bay Hotel which is a few minutes away. The sunbeds were always available and we were pleased to see that nobody put their towels out first thing in the morning to reserve a bed. The beach is very close the Hotel and it's very pleasant although be warned it's usually very windy and there are waves in the sea. Due to the breeze it was never too hot which was a bonus. We loved our dinner at the buffet at the Royal Bay, the food is excellent and there is a huge choice. Breakfast is also good but we found it expensive as we were on a room only basis. We also loved the Moroccan mint tea and the cookery classes run by the Hotel. We enjoyed visiting the Souk and had a private tour of the City. The staff were always kind and friendly and did their best to accommodate our requests. Definitely recommend this Hotel if you are looking for a relaxing and quiet holiday!

The hotel was more like a palace than a hotel. The Décor and furnishing was amazing. Very close to the beach, though a bit far away from the shops and restaurants. Lots of space on the grounds and lots of activities on the premises. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday this is the place to stay. The Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our luggage, as it was still in Casablanca when we arrived at Agadir. The staff constantly contacted the airports and airline to get our luggage over as soon as possible. We are very grateful for that. The hotel is very peaceful and ideal for families with small children. We did do 2 excursions, and saw different regions, though not to our expectations as the descriptions of these tours did sound more interesting. Nevertheless I think they are worth doing if you want to see more of the country. We were surprised with how much French was used in the country, as we thought the local language would be used more.

I can't praise the staff enough. Everyone we dealt with from reception to pool side staff, was really nice, polite and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Always willing to assist in any way possible. The hotel itself is lovely, a nice blend I thought between Berber and contemporary arts. We were very satisfied with our suite, it had a breathtaking view of the pool and sea. The spacious balcony with sofa beds was well enjoyed in the evenings. You also can enjoy the amenities of Sofitel Royal Bay next door.

This hotel definitely deserves its 5 stars, it is outstanding. Staff at the hotel were always happy to help and very attentive. My boyfriend and I had booked a pool view superior room, on arrival to our room we noticed we did not have a pool view but a view of the hotel next door but did not mind as the view was still pleasant. After our first night my boyfriend woke up in-between our bed in a ditch where two mattresses had separated which were pushed together to create our big bed! My boyfriend went and told reception about this, he also said that we had booked a pool view. Reception said to my boyfriend that they had given us a 'side beach view' but were sorry about the bed and within half an hour we had a new room with a bed that didn't separate but still no pool view and another 'side beach view'. Despite this problem we found the hotel to be amazing the décor was lovely! the hotel and rooms were very clean! Prices of food and drink were very expensive at the hotel but we expected this as it is a luxurious 5 star hotel.

This is a beautiful hotel and on the whole I would stay here again. It is clean and nicely decorated and probably as close to 5 star as you can get in Agadir but I had a number of issues with it. Our room was a bit small and we had no electricity for part of our stay. Access to the indoor pool was not free which was incredibly frustrating as it rained for two of the five days we were there. I did not like the food at the buffet at all and I thought it was very over-priced. The other restaurant served nice food but once again more expensive than necessary considering the actual quality. There are however, other restaurants around the area but some are quite a walk away. The staff were very friendly and helpful but they calculated our invoice incorrectly when we were due to check-out and it was only at this point that we were informed of a daily "tourism / city tax" so unfortunately this turned out to be a MUCH more expensive trip than anticipated. The hotel is however very close to the beach which is a massive bonus but you have to be careful on the promenade as we were harassed daily by people trying to sell us stuff and we were even followed all the way back to our hotel but a very strange man which was scary for two women. The good thing is we told the hotel security but it is a shame that security guards are even necessary. The sister hotel next door is also lovely and it is great that guests from each hotel can visit the other.
