We recently planned a wedding at Palais Namaskar in November and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. As wedding planners, we work with luxury properties around the world and Palais Namaskar truly stands out for its combination of breathtaking surroundings, incredible service and meticulous attention to detail. The staff were phenomenal, warm, attentive and consistently going above and beyond for our couple, their guests and our team. Their level of care made the planning process seamless and the wedding weekend feel effortless. Every request was handled with genuine hospitality and professionalism. The food and service throughout the stay and across all events were outstanding. From beautifully executed menus to flawless service delivery, the culinary and banquet teams exceeded expectations and contributed significantly to the guest experience. The property itself is extraordinary. Its serene water features, elegant architecture, lush gardens and atmospheric lighting created a truly magical backdrop for the celebrations. Every location within the hotel photographed beautifully and added to the overall sense of luxury and romance. Palais Namaskar delivered on every level and we could not have asked for a better partner for this event. We would highly recommend the property to anyone considering a wedding or celebration in Marrakech as it is a venue where hospitality, beauty and service excellence come together perfectly.

Beautiful location, pictures don’t do it justice, stunning surroundings. Downfall was the buffet food. We booked for a day pass and was told it would be a la carte but was a buffet. Not great food at all and slow service when it came to ordering drinks. Overall amazing location, very picturesque but downfall is customer service and food

Palais Namaskar is visually stunning, with classic Moroccan architecture and beautiful gardens. We booked a villa with a private pool, which was spacious and had great potential, but the property is clearly showing its age and urgently needs renovation. Doors didn’t open or close properly, the bathroom flooded easily, and there was visible mould in the pool. The TV was outdated at least 12 years old and not a smart TV, which is surprising for a so called 5-star hotel. The air conditioning in my room didn’t work, despite outside temperatures reaching 40°C, and even after reporting it, nothing was done to fix it. To make matters worse, the hotel only provides one 33cl bottle of water per guest in the room highly insufficient and not what you would expect from a luxury property. Service was another major disappointment. Orders were incomplete, cutlery and table settings arrived after the food, and while the Moroccan cuisine had a few highlights, most dishes were just average and lacked authenticity. The buffet was plain and nowhere near 5 star quality. Service was inconsistent some staff were polite and professional, but others were rude and acted as if guests were a nuisance. It often took two or three requests to get served, and sometimes you had to get up and fetch things yourself. The spa experience was particularly poor. Removing a simple shellac took three staff members two hours, and after 1.5 hours of drying, the nail polish was ruined anyway. I had a wedding to attend the next day but was refused nail polish for touch ups and only offered a rushed visit at 11:30 am, just before the event. The manicure was badly done, with uneven nails and even bleeding from my toes. When I asked for a refund, management refused and instead offered repeated touch-ups. In summary, while the hotel looks impressive and the villas are spacious, Palais Namaskar is far from a true 5 star experience. The lack of basic amenities, poor service, and outdated facilities make it feel more like a 2.5 star property. There is a lot of work to be done before it can be considered luxury accommodation.

In other words, everything was simply perfect! I highly recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip in Marrakech. If I really have to nitpick, I’d say that having only one restaurant might make the food options feel a bit monotonous after a while. But you’d have to stay a long time for that to happen, since the menu is big enough to cover many days — especially considering there are two menus: one with traditional Moroccan dishes and another with international cuisine.

We had booked a year ahead for a family of 12 for my father’s 80th Birthday. Other members of the family had been and stayed more than once over the last2/3years and had had superb food and service, enjoying themselves so much we thought it would be the ideal place to go back to with the entire family. We had a good time and made the most of the hotel. Like someone else has mentioned, our reservation was cancelled because someone had booked a large group booking/wedding so we had to reschedule our flights etc and after some discussion they reallocated some dates before the event and gave a discount to help with the cost we had incurred to reschedule our flights. Sadly our holiday was tarnished by poor service from the off. In particular the bar and restaurant were unbelievably slow. It wasn’t busy but food and drinks took up to 1 1/2hrs to receive at lunch, waiters never took down the order on their note pads, pretending to write it down so when it arrived it really was lucky dip what you received! On the night of the main celebration we started around 7pm and finished around 11:30pm and only ordered one course. They only had one bottle of the wine I ordered in the entire hotel which seemed rather odd. We were due to do a balloon ride one day so we’re up early but due to the wind this was cancelled so we’re decided to have breakfast earlier than usual, breakfast starts at 7am but the place was locked up and none around, we asked reception and they confirmed breakfast was served from 7am to which we said there is no one around, it took 40more mins of sitting around before anyone arrived, no apologies were made so we again cracked on and ordered our lucky dip breakfast! This said generally Staff were pleasant enough but seemed more into watching reels on their phones and eating and drinking inside than paying attention to their guests. This type of culture proceeded for the entire stay and when mentioned to the general manager he did offer our last days lunch on the house and our airport taxis when we left. When going to pay the bill this was however retracted and we were given just two of the meals for free not everyone. The gardening/cleaning staff and maintenance were all excellent, the overall feeling was that the hospitality staff were short on numbers, disinterested and rather unhappy to be working. Whether this is true I’m not sure, it felt issues in management were likely the biggest issue which was also confirmed by their attitude and service when we tried to bring this up. The general feel of the hotel is lovely and the surroundings too, things are a little worn and tired, rooms were large and reasonably well appointed but fixtures and fittings need updating/fixing so they work properly like lights, taps etc.. don’t book this hotel if you want pristine service and modern up to date rooms if that’s your thing book the Oberoi down the road! The spa was ok, though again the staff were not the most forthcoming, much the same story they just didn’t seem that concerned about the customers and when my wife asked about getting her nails painted the two members of staff contradicted one another saying they do and they don’t so we all got very confused, in the end one nice lady took my wife around the back and showed her the colour options, didn’t offer her a formal appointment but coloured her nails there and then for free. It’s a real shame the total has so much to offer but fell short by some way this time which was a big shock after the previous visits. I’m sure with someone decent at the helm and directing staff more locking away the phones and a bit of front of house training they can get this place back on track. Good luck

The palace itself was great. Its gardens and water plans are exquisite and the whole environment is quiet and relaxing. It helped relax and recharge batteries. The food was just amazing and very imaginative. The rooms are clean and nice, still I believe that they can make some effort on equipment renovation. The staff and the reception and room services are good too and the people are very friendly and professional.

Cons: I believe that there was nothing to dislike completely.

Cons: They over chargeed me and refused to refund it back to me also i was trying to contact the hotel manager daily for 6 days, and every time, they said an excuse, and they promised he would call me back, but he never did he ignored all my calls and I think he is avoiding my calls wich is extremely unprofessional behaviour from a manager of such a resort I don't pay that much money to be treated that way.

Very luxurious hotel. The staff were so polite, welcoming and eager to please. The breakfast selection was more than enough. On the few occasions of having lunch and dinner we were more than impressed by the choices and service. The facilities were outstanding along with the gardens. Highly maintained and well manicured which created a beautiful backdrop to our surroundings.

Cons: A few minor snagging observations in our room, left scope for improvement. The bathroom lighting was poor and there was no magnifying mirror. Our interlocking bedroom door would not close fully. (106/107) although neither of these issues spoilt our stay. The two parrots caged in the grounds, despite being beautiful birds, left me heavy hearted in their restricted environment whilst being situated by lush surroundings that they were unable to spread their wings and fully enjoy!

The property is beautiful to look at with stunning gardens but the staff at front desk either need to be retrained or replaced. Not accommodating, helpful or kind. None of the pools in the property are heated so we couldn’t use any. There’s no jacuzzi in the spa and when I inquired about it at the front desk, the reply was so condescending. Breakfast buffet is lovely albeit the guy making eggs, can’t cook eggs. The rooms are old and everything seems worn out. I wouldn’t recommend. Not worth the money. I had a much nicer experience at a nearby hotel for the same amount of money

Staff were wonderful, attentive, helpful and caring. One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at - the grounds are stunning and immaculate. Facilities excellent and first class food (the light meals menu in particular are world class)

Hotels have two components. Facilities and management. The facilities here are five star bordering on six. Somebody built an amazing palace a long time ago that the hotel now benefits from. The trickier part is management. The hotel is poorly managed, which is a shame as the staff are smiley and helpful but decisions are being made above their heads which are very uncommercial. Specifically: the music at the pool is all mural/covers of songs that were never hits in the first place..it plays on constant repeat and is predominantly US soul and R+B, which I happen to detest. But even fans of those genres would get fed up with the music within a day. Second problem: hordes of chavvy day trippers who take over the only pool most days from 11.30 onwards. This includes hordes of teenage Instagrammers preening around the edges all day. Third problem : pricing. In peak August holiday season the hotel was at best 30% full. The reason is it is very expensive. Once you check in you are then skinned alive for lunch and dinner (expect to spend £500/day for a family of four assuming not much drinking), both of which take ages (at least two hours). The good news is I have the fix for the hotel. 1. Reduce prices and ban day trippers. You won’t need them because occupancy will go up. 2. Simplify the menu and cut the prices in half and include some light dishes that are not $35 each. 3. Change the music, urgently. Get a consultant in if necessary. To end on a positive note, the hotel is spectacularly beautiful and well equipped and has beautiful gardens. Just needs to wake up and be more commercial.

The hotel and its facilities are incredible, the architecture is great and the whole area was clean and pretty. However, the food service was poor. Whilst the food and staff were super a 2 course dinner often took >2 hours. This wouldn’t be unreasonable for a packed hotel however we couldn’t help but notice the lack of people at dinner. At most there were usually 3 other tables dining at the same time as us. Also, whilst the pool was beautiful and a nice sun trap the hotel let in dozens of day guests between 11:30 and 5:30. These day guests were mostly loud, annoying and poorly behaved. They were not at all the demographic we were planning to be spending the day around at a 5 star hotel. This was the most disappointing thing about the hotel we found as it meant unless you had headphones on you would constantly be ambushed by screaming children and adults alike. The music was also appalling and the playlist being used contained mostly very poor covers of pop songs and would be played on repeat all day every day. On the whole, it is a beautiful hotel with lovely staff but it is clearly being managed poorly from higher up.

The style and feel of this property is nice and the spa is good. But it’s dated.

Cons: I visited this property 8 years ago and it was amazing now it’s badly maintained and nothing works and it’s badly kept the grounds are dirty and the staff don’t listen or don’t care. The food is well decorated by badly cooked. Overall I wish I never came back.

This is a super lovely hotel with superb staff. Staying at this hotel made a big difference in my stay in Marrakech. I did find it very luxurious but, at the same time, easy to navigate. From having gym facilities to the option to exchange money at a great rate and the lovely food at the restaurant with international and Moroccan menus.

Beautiful architecture and layout

Cons: The staff, especially the receptionist lady, was terrible. Very very bad service. I asked for help several times and got terrible or no solutions. I enquired about a few things to do around Marrakech and the best way to get to places. She gave me very no effort answers and I could tell she didn’t want to help me, nor was she answering my questions. I asked her if I could go up to see the bar to just look around to see the sunrise, she said no because the bar isn’t open. I told her I just wanted to see the view at the top. She just said no. At the pool I asked if they had a towel for me, they told me to go back to my room to get my own bathrobe. When about to check out of the hotel, I asked her (unfortunately it seems she’s the only one working at reception) to call a cab for us, she said it would take 15min for the cab to arrive. So with that advice, we checked out and rushed to get out luggage to the front in time for the cab. In the end we waited an extra 35 min for the cab to arrive. With such a luxurious place, you would expect the service to be top notch. It was so terrible that I left after the first night even if I couldn’t get a refund for my 2nd night. Such a disappointment. The place is beautiful but unfortunately the receptionist made it such a horrible stay. There are so much better hotels around the city area with wayyy much better service than this place. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone for the price you are paying, as you would expect premium service. It is definitely not worth it.

Every single person was amazing. Especially Soufiane ( I hope he gets this message. I also hope I am spelling his name right). From our very first night to our last, he has gone beyond and above for my two boys and I. He really made our 3 nights stay and money worth every cent. For his beautiful kindness, he showed toward us and his excellent customer service, I will definitely come back and hope he will still be working at the hotel when we do come back. Thank Soufiane for making our stay a memorable. You are truly a great asset to Palais Namaskar. Abdul Rahim and Mohamed, thank you 😊🙏🏽.

Cons: the room was not ready even when we requested for it to be ready and the receiptionist was extremely rude His manager was even more rude and said " I cannot do anything about your room and walked off in the middle of the conversation" , we felt we paid £450 a day for this room and we were treated as if we were there for free

This is a true oasis of calm, peace and beauty. Not just the architecture and the setting but the atmosphere and the wonderful staff and team who make every moment a joy. Upon arrival we were driven to our suite in a golf buggy and were so incredibly impressed with the accommodation and the beautiful water features, the lighting and everything which complements it. Breakfast is a feast and served amongst the cam by such lovely staff. Take your time to enjoy it. Exceptional coffee and the fresh omelettes, fruit, juice and anything you could wish for. The loungers around the magnificent pool are so incredibly comfortable and with room for 3 people! We usually get restless on your average beds, but not these, you won’t want to move. Quiet and calm music breaks the silence and is never intrusive. By 1pm day guests come from outside to enjoy this magnificent hotel and their presence adds more atmosphere and buzz. As the sun goes down and the lights go on the palace is even more exceptional and the place to enjoy a wonderful meal. During our stay the team gave us the most glorious night and and we will be forever grateful and thankful for their kindness, hospitality and care; you are all amazing. Hakim and everyone who made such an impact, thank you. We will return as often as we can and hope to see everyone again soon.

Cons: Sometimes it’s constructive to make observations about small changes that could be made, but we can’t fault our experience at all. Every single person made this the most wonderful stay. Perfect.

Property itself is beautiful with good facilities. Quite far from town but easy to get a taxi which was good. Food was very nice. Bedroom was lovely with very comfortable bed and great air con. WiFi was also very good.

Cons: Staff were very poor - would think it were a 3 star property at most based on staff alone. Lunch took ages to come, staff were not attentive and didn’t give us menus, take our order before we asked. When we asked for the bill, they always forgot to bring it. No pool service for drinks etc. Seemed some guests were treated as ‘priority’ with all the staff tending to one table at one point. Room staff equally poor. Knocked on our room at 10:15pm one day to refresh the room, which was unacceptable given we were about to go to bed. When we told reception they laughed it off and didn’t apologise. Also had incredibly noisy neighbours who came home drunk at 4pm and continued to drink and smash glasses outside. These were not cleaned up.

The hotel is truly amazing and the room was spectacular, the facilities are also truly great, and the service is second to none.

Cons: They have parrots in a bird cage, which besides being cruel just by itself is quite disruptive as they are very noisy. these poor animals are suffering and they don’t add anything to the experience at all. Hotel Staff all very courteous and friendly (except for one). They all tried hard to give great service and help. The breakfast was very good, in fact, the food in general was very tasty.

Cons: We had a disappointing honeymoon. We feel like we wasted a lot of money. The hotel looks like a 5 star at first glance, but you soon realise it’s not. Three panes of glass were badly cracked in the room, which not only looks awful but is also is dangerous (see photo) Nut allergy not catered for or cared about - I told staff multiple times about my allergy and I kept being given nuts. Even dishes that were marked as without nuts on menus, had nuts in! In the end, I had to eat only sandwiches and burgers to be safe. No soundproofing in the room. It felt like the neighbours were in our room. Not relaxing or private. The “Guest services manager” raised his voice to me when we queried an item on the bill at the end of the stay. I found it threatening and upsetting. Basic in-room amenities (things like fruit, coffee, glasses, cups, drinking water and towels) weren’t provided daily or with any regularity. I would expect more than these basics at a “5star hotel” with such a high room rate, not to even get the basics is very poor. Some of the description on booking.com is misleading. For example, There is only 1 restaurant, it says “restaurants”. And this restaurant costs a fortune! You have to eat there for lunch and dinner every night because the hotel is so remote, it added £1000+ to the cost of our stay. There is also not a “coffee house on site” and saying there is a “Tour desk” is very generous. There are a handful of set excursions available, nothing can be personalised and all have a multitude of large hidden charges along the way.

The breakfast was incredible and our children looked forward to the hot cocoa and Moroccan crepes each morning. Again, we only wished that we had booked more time at this oasis.

Quite possibly one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed at. I don't know where to begin?! EVERYONE at Palais Namaskar provided superb service! From the chauffeur (who was a very kind, open-minded learned in world history) to front desk staff to restaurant/room service personnel: 10 out of 10. Thank you for making our stay so memorable and perfect! Front desk staff set up a last minute tour of Marrakech for us, last minute spa appointment (Turkish hammam for my mom) and even helped with calling our next hotel to pick us up...all prior to our check out. Breakfast was so lavish and set up in our patio. The hot tub was so amazing in the morning. And the patio itself was beautiful, and had so much space--it was perfect for praying salah there, right under the stars. I always dream of a destination wedding. I think Palais Namaskar is the one iA :)

We chose the Palais Namaskar as it appeared to be the most elegant and relaxing place to stay outside the city of Marrakech. Friends had advised staying at La Mamounia, but having visited there for a cocktail we felt we made the right choice as La Mamounia seemed like quite a tourist destination (even though they had a warm outdoor pool). The Palais Namaskar is a beautiful and spectacular place with pretty plants, gentle architecture and pools and ponds at every turn and we enjoyed the sense of privacy, particularly as we stayed during January. We had a sense of being far away from everything in a kind of garden paradise. Unfortunately the main pool was cold, so we asked to be able to use one of the private pools. Fortunately as the hotel was not busy we were moved to a pool villa, which transformed our stay.

Hotel grounds are beautiful and the restaurant staff is top notch. We had a few issues with our first room - the hot tub wasn't working and after several calls and a few hours later, it still was not working. The hotel sent someone to help repair it but it unfortunately did not work. When we got back from dinner, the hot tub was still freezing and it took over an hour and a few phone calls before we asked if we could move rooms. While they sent someone to help us with our luggage, i'm surprised no other apologies were made or there was nothing for our inconvenience. We primarily stay at 5 star hotels and I felt the staff was lacking a bit. We had much better service at the Four Seasons and the Royal Mansour.

Decided at last minute to go to Marrakech for the weekend looking for relaxation in luxurious surroudings which is exactly what we got.
