Our stay at Riad Adarissa was truly exceptional and exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed. The riad is conveniently located just off a main street, but quiet enough to provide a peaceful retreat from the medina. Its location was easy to find once shown the way, especially with the help of Haddou, who met us outside the medina and assisted with our luggage. The hospitality was one of the highlights of our visit. On arrival, we were greeted with a warm cup of traditional Moroccan mint tea and given a map, along with helpful tips on how to navigate the area. The staff were incredibly accommodating, offering guided tours and trips without any pressure and ensuring we could explore comfortably on our own. We did book a day trip to Chefchaouen through them, and it was an excellent experience at a great price, giving us peace of mind knowing it was arranged by the riad. Beyond the outstanding service, the riad itself was beautiful, with stunning Moroccan decor and a lovely terrace offering breathtaking views over the city. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and the home-cooked dinner made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients was truly memorable. We were even given a packed breakfast for our day trip, despite breakfast already being included in the Chefchaouen tour. A special thank you to Fatimzohra, Noureddine, Hanane, and Haddou for making our stay so seamless. Haddou was incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived, assisting us with getting SIM cards and offering support throughout our time in Fes. Choosing Riad Adarissa was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made for our trip, turning our stay into something unforgettable. We felt at home throughout our time there and would highly recommend it.

Cons: Nothing negative to say, everything was amazing!

My stay at Riad Adarissa was exceptional. The accomodation is inside the Medina of Fes and the riads design and decoration is stunning! my top-floor room was authentic and elegant, and the rooftop terrace provided unforgettable sunset views over the city. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the staff. Nourredine and Haddou welcomed me like family sharing thoughtful recommendations, insider tips, and fascinating historical context that brought Fes to life. I was also traveling solo and felt very safe at the Riad. I can’t recommend Riad Adarissa highly enough.

Cons: nothing to complain about. everything was perfect.

Exceptional!!! You will not be disappointed. Magically step back in time the moment you walk through the front doors where you are welcomed with warmth, friendliness, sincerity and kindness.Nothing is impossible or too much trouble for our host, from local recommendations for dining, a well prepared map to guide you through the 9000+ streets, or ensuring that every comfort requirement you may have is met. The property exudes the characteristics and charms of yesteryear. A private Oasis amongst the vibrant Medina life. What a memorable stay and experience. Highly recommend! A special thank you to Haddou, Noureddine and Jean Claude. A real pleasure to have met you. Until our next visit, David and Pez

I stayed in the suite which was huge and so beautiful. Its location is amazing if you’re interested in staying inside the medina. It’s located directly off of the main market street. The breakfast is good and the dinners we had at the hotel were delicious, though a little pricey.

Cons: It wasn’t a problem for me, but something to be aware of: Not an option for anyone with mobility issues. There is no vehicle access to the hotel. You will walk a few minutes up inclined winding pedestrian streets. Be prepared for narrow, steep stairs as well. However, the staff will pick you up from the taxi and carry your bag to the hotel, and back out to the taxi at the end of your stay as well. They’re very helpful.

Great location, few minutes to the Blue Gate, just off one of the two main shopping streets in Medina. Very nicely renovated riad, breakfast was included and it was the usual Morrocan fair, but decent. They prepared packed breakfast when we were going on a trip and leaving early.

Cons: A bit of a hard sell when it comes to 'recommending' a nearby restaurant (or actually taking you there, asking you if you have been there, etc) - this is not what I expect from a hotel when I ask for advice. Also instead of advice how to get to the airport on a budget, an offer of 20-something € taxi as the only way of getting to the airport from Medina (which we took for the peace of mind but felt a bit of bad aftertaste). These are not deal breakers, rather something that could be improved (less hard sell, more genuine helpfulness will help you get more guests).

We felt at home ever since we were welcomed by Mr Haddou and his family, who took great care of us. He helped coordinate our day trips, prepared dinner onsite on our first day at Fez and arranged pick- ups and drop- offs. It made our first visit to Morocco memorable and stress free. I can’t thank Mr Haddou enough for his warm hospitality and cheerful demeanor. Also, the manager Mr Noureddine was also very helpful and accommodating.

Cons: We liked everything about the property!

Riad Adarissa was absolutely lovely. Clean, pretty, and a calming oasis in the bustle of the Fes medina. The people were wonderful, especially Haddou, who met us at the medina gate and personally escorted us to the riad. And what a riad! The trickling fountain and flickering candles in the courtyard are only rivalled by the view from the stunning private terrace. The ultra-hot water was a bonus, too. Haddou looked after our every need while we were at Riad Adarissa, connecting us up with a medina guide and recommended restaurants. He always made sure we had a personal guide to accompany us throughout the medina, to ensure we didn’t get lost. His French is excellent, his English is good, and he was happy to teach us a little bit of Arabic as well. He and Fatima prepared beautiful breakfasts for us, and on our final day he personally escorted us up to the medina gate and found us a taxi to take us to the train station. What a terrific way to experience Fes. Thank you, Riad Adarissa ❤️

We, two young women, stayed one week in Riad Adarissa. We had the most wonderful time with Haddoud and his family, which made our stay so very pleasant. They helped us in every way possible, and truly treated us like family. Whenever we had an issue, they gladly helped us and made sure we are safe, and don't get scammed on the streets. The Riad is in the middle of the Medina, with every sightseeing attraction in walking distance. There are multiple food stalls and higher class restaurants within the area, offering traditional food for reasonable pricing. The building itself is charming, and offers clean rooms and a calm environment for reading and enjoying tea outside on the patio or the rooftop. 10 / 10 recommend.

The location was good. It's only around 200 m to the Parking Ain Azliten. ATM and most of the attraction was in reasonable walking distance. The place was surrounded with the small souvenir shops that have more reasonable price compare with the shop nearby the Blue Gate. The interior of the guest house was amazing. The room was small but the furniture's choices was great so even we can open our big luggage without problem. The bed was comfortable. Our room was being cleaned everyday, which is surprising for a guest house class. However, the best part from all were the staffs. All people were welcoming. The breakfast was made with love. Mr. Haddou was really helpful. He helps us to bought something in the market so we won't get scam. He help us with our baggage to the Blue Gate! He connect us with other guests that staying there too! So we can share our stories. Definitely a worth place to stay in Fes.

Cons: It would be great to build a soundproofer in the room because sometimes we can hear people opening the door or people talking in the hall.

The Riad was a beautiful home from home, in a side road off the Talaâ Kebira and 5 minutes from the blue gate. The location was quiet with excellent view of the medina rooftop from the terrace, yet you can enjoy the excitement of bustling through the medina streets with an array of shops, restaurants and sites on your doorstep. The Riad team were excellent hosts, informative, kind and generous. Haddou and his wife were super friendly and provided delicious meals and good company. Nourredine was a wealth of knowledge. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with an array of artisan breads, pastries, honey, olives, cheese etc. we had a delicious couscous on Friday. The Riad is tastefully decorated and our suite was comfortable and spacious. We would definitely return!

Cons: Nothing. On a side note check that the upstairs rooms are suitable if you have mobility issues. This is a traditional Riad with high steps.

This was my favorite stay in all of Morocco. The Riad is right nearby the Bab and it's the busy bab so all the food and drink you could want is within a few steps. Staff was by far the most helpful, considerate, and friendly I had in Morocco. Hadou and Fatima went above and beyond most reasonable means to make sure my stay was fantastic. my suite was on the main floor which gave me concerns about privacy but the suite comes with heavy curtains and plenty of ways of allow me to retreat when I needed time alone. Fez was my favorite city to visit in Morocco and it was in part to this Riad. Thank you.

We highly recommend Riad Adarissa and really enjoyed our stay there. Really well located just off one of the two main streets in the Medina, but very quiet. The decor is amazing, the wooden doors, among many other renovated touches, are beautiful and we could have spent days just admiring the Riad itself. As other reviews indicate, the staff at the Riad is absolutely standout wonderful and made us feel at home. Nourredine the manager was easy to communicate with prior to arrival and made sure we were comfortable. Haddou was attentive to our every need and really went the extra mile for example walking us to a petit taxi and talking to the driver for us. His wife (sorry to forget her name) cooked a really great dinner for us. Breakfast was very good. They had many recommendations for tours and excursions that we were not able to take advantage of.

Riad Adarissa is conveniently located in the Fes medina. But, the real reason to stay here is the exceptional hospitality. Haddou went out of his way to make everything enjoyable, from the moment he met us to the time we left. His wife, Hanane, was the chef. We chose to eat our dinners at the Riad, and it was a great decision. The meals were fantastically prepared and it gave us more time to enjoy the company of Haddou, Hanane, and the gracious owner of the Riad Adarissa, Jean Claude. When traveling, it's the people you meet who make things special. And the people at Riad Adarissa made everything special and memorable for us. Highly recommend! Our room was adjacent to the dining room and was perfect for us. Others might prefer an upstairs room. The terrace gives a nice view of Fes. A Moroccan Breakfast was included and we enjoyed it.

Great staff, one of the best breakfast we had in the same type of accommodation, convenient location inside medina. Traditional, just handful of rooms. Nice terrace with look over the Fez medina. Riad is in a side street just dozen steps from main medina street, expect tiny streets and dusty, not well maintained surroundings. Typical for medina, however. Overall we got what we wanted - local experience in Fez.

Cons: The room we had was spacy, but no window other to the inside atrium. Not a problem for many, but we appreciate natural light. The riad is nice, comfy, but not much privacy due to limited sound proofing. Tight stairs to get in and out, not for disabled people or heavy luggage.

Pasamos 5 noches geniales.

We were greeted with mint tea and the breakfasts were wonderful. We would stay here again, short walk to the blue gate or the Ain Azliten hospital parking area.

Clean Riad that had beautiful traditional Moroccan details. Beds were more comfortable than other roads and we had the best service. Haddou escorted us to places where our tour groups met and in Fes, the Medina is so large and twisty that Haddou’s help made us feel much more safe and secure. Loved the little touches of mint tea when we arrived or to start our day. It is important to note that this Riad is close to one of the two main roads in the Medina, and near the blue gate, which is great for orienting yourself.

The staff was kind, helpful and very very welcoming. Mr. Haddou went out of the way to pick us up at the edge of the Medina and drop us off at the end of our stay.

Cons: The breakfast area is literally outside the door. So it might be inconvenient for late risers.

Haddou was one of the kindest, welcoming and gentle person we met in our holiday in Marocco. Thank you very much. The dinner was very good (especially the chicken pastilla).

Cons: Too expensive (in all the other riad the dinner was about 10/12€ for person, here 20€ for person!! the breakfast was always included with the night but not here: 7€ for person), moreover the house manager miscounted (he just made us pay for 1 breakfast and we were 2) and we had to pay later for HIS mistake. It was just 7€ but it irritated me a lot because it was our last day and I kept just the exact change in dirham to pay the taxi driver and to let Haddou a little tip and we had to left to Haddou less just because the house manager made a mistake and the house manager was not even at the riad and we can't talk to him to explain to him the situation. It was very annoying.

The Riad was in such a great location in the Medina and is so authentic to Fes. The host was very welcoming and kind.

Cons: It was a little cramped in our room.. small room for large suitcases, but we were not to bothered by that since we really were not in the room much.

The riad is traditional and incredibly well kept. Everything makes sense, from the copper fixtures in the bathrooms to the carved wooden beams all around the building structure. The best part was definitely Mr. Hadou, who received us almost like family, he and his wife had the best meals I had in Morocco made for us. The location of the riad is perfect, near the blue gate and on the Main Street of Fez. For rooms, in summer on should choose the ground floor rooms because they are the fresher. Breakfast was always great.

Cons: I liked everything.

emailed with the hotel prior to arrival to arrange transfer from airport to riad. once got to the airport there was no one there after waiting for 30 minutes. we arrived in the early evening, had no understanding of the city or the medina or the location of the riad within the medina as the gps doesn't work well. once we arrived, it took over 10 minutes for someone to answer the door to the riad to let us in. the room was big, but kept up poorly - no shower, just a tub area with a bucket, a couple of pails and a shower cord. the bed was super hard. there were ants in the bed and in the bathroom. towels were mismatched colors and very coarse and thin. breakfast was fine, nothing special. there were dead ants in the honey. most of the staff did not speak english either very well or at all. didn't provide any recommendations on things to do/see/eat. would not stay here again. definitely not worth the price. charged us 20 euros to do laundry

It is a nice, clean and comfortable riad with excellent services provided by the team, especially Haddou. Location is so convenient for visit Fes Medina, unfortunately the street outside is under construction, so we need porter to help us carry our luggages from parking to riad. Other than this, it is the best choice to stay in.

I stayed in multiple Riads throughout the different cities in Morocco and this Riad is above and beyond all others. The location is convenient, the hosts are incredible, and the rooms are very well appointed. I honestly cannot provide enough accolades for this Riad. Do yourself a favor and stay here during your trip. You will thank me!

It's the best Riad in Fes! Really really recommend! The room, the service, the food and everything. You will feel being cared very well here! I went to Fes alone and the staffs in this riad gave me the best service. The own Jean Claude is very very nice, there is once he woke up 4 am in the morning just in order to send me to the right driver, and the other day he woke up really early and drive me to the bus station .Haddou is really nice, he showed me to a restaurant with fair price and helped me buying fruits and snacks with really cheap price. They prepared takeaway breakfast when I need to head out early.

Overall great service. Taxis do not go into the medina. I was contacted by email by hotel before my arrival and train station pickup was arranged. I loved my room and the service by all the staff was excellent. They also offer guide/tour assistance which I took advantage of. Highly recommended.

Some of the best, warmest, most personalized service I have ever experienced in a hotel - we were walked to recommended restaurants, taken care of and looked after, but never intrusively. The entire staff was warm, friendly and extremely helpful. Beautifully restored, authentic details in the Riad, so many nice touches. Clean, sunny, ample breakfasts, located on a great street near restaurants, the medina and the Gate. They really have gone above and beyond at this Riad in absolutely every detail: price for quality, service, location, rooms, etc. I would recommend this to anyone staying in Fes and would come back without hesitation.

This riad has been tasfully refurbished to it's original splendor. Beautiful tile, wood and stain glass. The room was a bit tight for three people; my daughter, husband and I. However, I believe the purpose of the courtyard is to congragate since the room was a bit small. The breakfast was included and the first morning, the staff served it in the terrace, which had a wonderful view of the medina. The staff was attentive and cordial. The owner was very welcoming, accessible and helpful. He even loan us his ipad since somehow our computer was not working. This riad is conveniently situated on one of the main streets of the medina and close to a parking lot(where you are dropped off with your luggage since cars are not permitted in the medina). The only thing I can suggest is for the riad to provide bottled water since i had a headache in the middle of the night and did not want to drink the faucet water. Also, since there are so many fruit vendors with an array of fresh fruits, the riad should provide an assortment of fruits rather than just watermelon. Overall, this is a good value and a wonderful riad, a true moroccon experience.
