Very good location, easy to arrive near by taxi and tourist sites are close. The communication with the host was good, he always replied immediately and tried to help. The room was large and nicely decorated.
Cons: The toilet is open and has no door which is a very uncomfortable setup. The room is quite dark. Breakfast was very simple but it was similar in other places in Morocco.

L'emplacement

Horrifying. I booked 2 rooms. Each had beds to sleep 4. The guy who checked us in was yelling at us as we showed up with 4 people in one room and 3 in another. My original booking said 2 for one room and he would not budge. He seemed to be stuck on the head count. He charged us for 2 more people after much negotiating (I was called a bad woman at one point) even though the small print said 4 per room. At one point he locked us in the Riad and kept us hostage and would not let us leave until we paid for the other 2 people. He kept saying "not my problem, not my problem". As a group of women we felt very unsafe. At breakfast, we were given white bread and jam. That's it. When we asked if there was anything else for breakfast, the lady lost her temper and started yelling at us. We are not sure what the issue was here. We were nothing less than polite Canadians. Since this stop we continued our journey to other riads in Morocco and the hospitality was nothing less than amazing.

If I could give this property a less than zero rating and the staff and service a less than zero rating, that is exactly what I would give it. I travel extensively and this was one if not the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. The male manager at one point actually locked the door from the inside to prevent us from leaving. I stayed on my own with no issues other than the property is ill maintained and not at all like the pictures which are a misrepresentation of the actual disarray of the property. The tub that is featured in pictures had green algae? Fungus? Growing inside. Absolutely disgusting. The seat next to it had bird poop dried on it so clearly not useable. When my female friends arrived the male manager became hostile, angry and threatening us with calling the police for having too many people in the room. However, the website clearly states that you can have up to four people in the room.. we left two days before our booking was to expire and one of our friends actually left Morocco early just due to the stress this entire situation caused us! We were ready to lose money as opposed to stay any days longer. WARNING - DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY- one of the WORST places I’ve ever stayed at! I will also add that the female stuff that’s responsible for setting out breakfast started to yell at my friends because they asked if they could have fruit with the breakfast meal absolutely unnecessary. Staff there are clearly agitated not really sure why

The housekeeper, Elam, was there when we arrived, and was very cordial. She recommended some things to do around Marrakech that were very helpful. The proprieteur was there later in the evening and was very genial and kind. He took paiement in cash, which was fine, and easy for us. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is small but enjoyable, with coffee and tea and bread and local crepes. The riad is easy to access by taxi, and is close to many famous sites. I recommend staying here!
Cons: The shower does not have a hook for the faucet, which was inconvenient but it is a small thing, and likely could be easily fixed. There were no other problems!

We had a fantastic stay in Riad Turquoise. Soufiane and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Soufiane is available to organise trips. The riad is beautiful, calm and safe but still right beside all the excitement. Our 2 rooms were beautiful and cleaned daily with fresh towels. We had a great breakfast every morning and Soufiane got up early on our departure day to make our breakfast before we left for the airport. The location of the riad is amazing. From the riad you can walk to alot of the main tourist attractions. We came back to the riad during the day for little breaks which was great. We absolutely loved our stay in Riad Turquoise and would stay again.

The look of the hotel was nice, nice design and cool looking furniture.
Cons: The staff were not very helpful. The Manager was ment to meet on the first day and discuss tour options in person, but we never saw him and only every spoke via Whatsapp message and we were told we could not have an early breakfast only if we booked tours through him. And the television didn't work the whole time we were there and noone fixed it despite asking many times.

Winter sun for 6 days Been here three times now with this Riad being the best Great host and fab girls who did the daily cooking and room clean We opted not to change linen daily but got water on way every day Breakfast was cake, fresh baguettes, pancakes, home made jams, butter, yoghurt and the most amazing freshly squeezed OJ Will even offer u an omelette too Room was at the top of the building and lucky enough to be given the best of them. Pure chance or seeing as I booked 5 nights Very hot water for shower, with good water pressure Safe in room, with AC or heat for February as nights get cool Wear a hoodie for breakfast too Very traditional and authentic in design Wi-Fi for the most was stable other than 1 night which we have up on Location was great, with most roads running into the Medina Local restaurants were very good. Please see other TA RV's Lastly....ensure you have the Riad number on your phone as getting in on the first day as delayed No biggie. Local Orange shop to get a cheaper sim than at the airport

Riad Turquoise – uninspired, unsafe guesthouse that could be so much better. We have spent some time composing our views on this accommodation. We have decided to group them in sections. Good. The location, whilst initially surprising because it’s down a narrow alley and not very disability friendly is within walking distance of much of the south and centre of Marrakesh – the bits people want to experience. There are several good restaurants nearby. Room cleanliness and care – outstanding. The cleaning lady was exceptional. The room itself was en suite but open plan so if one person goes to the loo the other might want to step outside for 5 minutes. The air conditioning in the room was superb. Hot and cold water were always available. There is lots of cupboard and drawer space – although one cupboard needed a hinge repairing. The room is traditionally Moroccan in its décor, and space was reasonable, although we thought calling it a suite was pushing the definition a bit. Complimentary internet was mostly good but struggled when there were a couple of sets of guests. Dangerous. There are no signs or information in the room about actions in case of fire or other disaster and no fire extinguishers in the guest room. After extensive searching one extinguisher was found behind a door in the kitchen. One sign for an emergency exit was found over a door not available to guests but there were no others. Three large gas bottles are stored in the premises without any warning signs. We found a metal teapot boiling, unattended, on the gas stove more than once. Some electrical sockets are loose in the walls. There was an electrical socket right next to the handbasin in the bathroom area of our room. There was no way of contacting anyone if the workers weren’t there. Disappointing. The riad has to be measured against its promises in its advertising; we didn’t consider it luxurious or 4 star. The TV in the room was festooned with loose untidy wires but didn’t actually produce a watchable picture. The only power socket available in the room for guest use was on the extension lead for the TV and its tuner. The riad was tired, rather battered and dirty - this may have been because there were two building sites close by which also created quite a lot of noise. The loungers on the roof should have been lovely to sit and catch some sun on but were not nice when stained and dusty. Breakfast is provided, served in various parts of the riad (there is no dedicated restaurant) but is exactly the same every day – except the days when they forgot. We had omelette 3 days out of seven, yoghurt twice, no bread appeared on one occasion and while it’s lovely to try local pancakes and waffles there really should be a choice. Madeira cake is an odd thing to have for breakfast anyway and surely there is other cheese available than foil covered rectangles of processed cheese? There were three people working – the cook, the cleaner and a man who never explained what his role was, although I gleaned he was some sort of undermanager (he told me his boss was away in Switzerland); he was only in the riad occasionally and could not be relied upon to be available at any given time. Although Marrakesh felt remarkably safe, security was reliant on guests remembering to lock the door. There is no CCTV we could find. Although it is to be expected as we visited at the end of January, the riad (apart from our room which we could heat with the air conditioning) was extremely cold. There was a sliding roof but it was never shut. A fire was lit one evening in one of the sitting rooms but this small room was monopolised by a group who smoked constantly; this filled the whole riad (even though it’s an uncovered space) so we, as non-smokers, were rather trapped in our room until they left, but the fire never got lit again. There are two tiny pools – footbaths, really. They looked quite pretty but were not really functional and certainly can’t be called swimming pools. Neither was heated so perhaps unsurprisingly we tried neither. While there is an extensive section on wellness and massages in the advertising there was no sign of it in reality. Unacceptable but not dangerous. We were contacted by the riad beforehand offering to book us a taxi from the airport and provide an evening meal for our first night. We agreed to this and it was confirmed. No taxi appeared. Nobody answered the phone when I rang to find out what was happening. It’s not acceptable to leave foreigners stranded at the airport; fortunately, I speak French and equally fortunately there is an excellent taxi booking system at the airport but it was an hour wasted. When we arrived at the riad (Marrakesh doesn’t really do signposts, so we had to walk down an alley to find an anonymous door (AND it’s in the wrong place on the Booking.com website, which is not helpful) there was no real greeting; a mystified cook let us in and wordlessly plonked registration documents down in front of us. No explanation of what was on offer was forthcoming. It’s not the cook’s job to greet people, and she obviously felt uncomfortable even trying her best. The riad was empty on the first night; there was no sign of the promised dinner and nobody to ask. We went out and found a restaurant instead. We had to arrange trips out. We still don’t know whether it is supposed to be more like a hotel with staff available or more like a house to rent. What could they do to improve the guest experience? Provide what they promise. Sort out the very serious fire and electrical safety issues. Think about how dangerous it is to leave a lit gas hob unattended, for example. Clean, repair and paint throughout. Adjust the satellite dish so TVs actually produce a picture. Have someone to greet guests, make them feel welcome and help them to understand Marrakesh – it’s quite a culture shock to people who haven’t visited the Middle East or north Africa before. Get Booking.com to put your riad in the right place in the map. Communicate – explain how to get help in an emergency or simply if something doesn’t work. Make sure people know when you will be there. Don’t expect the guest to make all the running. If you do provide breakfast, have some options available.

Overall Experience Riad felt cold and unwelcoming, with inadequate heating. Small, unheated pools were not functional. Promised airport taxi service was not provided, causing inconvenience. A promised welcome meal never materialised. There is a lot more but space has gone. I suggest you read my comments on Tripadvisor.

We were very well taken care off by Souafian who ensured we had a comfortable stay at the Riad. He coordinated a day trip for us, arranged drop off to the airport and provided us helpful tips during our stay. We appreciate his warm hospitality. The room and facilities were extremely clean. The one suggestion we have is to improve the lighting in the room. Room was not bright and it felt dark throughout the day. Otherwise, a very comfortable stay.

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the decor was quite pleasant. We didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast as we left at 6 a.m.
Cons: There was no door to the shower/toilet area in the room. Essentially, a small corridor led from the large room to the toilet, and everything could be heard perfectly from the room. The shower was also completely visible. Since we were sharing the room with two friends, this setup was quite uncomfortable. Additionally, the room was very damp, and one of my friends with asthma found it difficult to breathe, as it felt like there was mold. The pool was quite dirty and out of order. Finally, a male staff member spent a long time talking about his admiration for Putin, which was rather uncomfortable.

We stayed in this Riad for three nights. The location is excellent for exploring the city, the room we stayed in was beautiful, the cleanliness was good, and the breakfast was excellent. But what really stands out is the kindness of the owner and the staff. For example, we had to wake up well before breakfast time on two days due to excursions, and they explained how to make coffee and serve ourselves food. Never intrusive. I absolutely recommend staying here.

The staff was overall accomodating and the location was close to the Jemaa- el-Fnaa market. This made it easy to access the town. However, the shower in our room was weak and it took some time to get water warm. Open bathroom withouth door facing main door. The water in jacuzzi was cold and there is not golf or any activities offered as mentioned on the hotel website. You can not call yourself equivalent of 4star hotel. Top roof - not light , poor stairs, and dirty sunbeds. Breakfast - poor quality with pancakes , orange juice and coffee only. TV- unusable with spotty Internet. We paid for 5nights stay 700 euro pluse 37 euro city tax . Overcharged for poor quality!

The staff was accommodating overall and the location was close to the Jemaa-el-Fnaa market. This made it easy to access the town.
Cons: The facility advertises a jacuzzi and WiFi. However, the jacuzzi was never warm. Even when it was turned on one of our group was sitting next to it and someone came and turned it off. The WiFi was poor but stable most of the time. It was still spotty. The television was not usable when we entered the room. The breakfast is meant to be a Berber inspired breakfast. However, there was no other option for a place that charges as much as it does (only pancakes). Also the bathroom is open except for a swinging door to the toilet area. Though some others may like that.

the receptionist talked bad to my wife and told her to out
Cons: As my pregnant wife knocked on the door, the man who opened it — the same person managing the riad — spoke rudely to her. When I confronted him, he told me, and I quote: “When I saw it was a Moroccan woman knocking and not a European, I thought she was going to ask for something, so I wasn’t nice. I didn’t think she was a guest since she wasn’t carrying luggage.” My wife had gone ahead to locate the riad while I waited in the car, planning to bring in the luggage once she confirmed the place. Despite this, he told both of us, and I quote: “Just leave, and I’ll reimburse you.” (Attached is the message I sent him, along with his response, while I was still with him in person.) Nothing that was promised to us was delivered. Beware of this man — he might come off as polite at first, but it’s all an act. Any Moroccan would quickly pick up on his fake behavior. And honestly, who treats a pregnant woman like that?

A nice, quiet place in the heart of bustling Marrakech. Close to where the action is. Good breakfast, but not always "on time" - long waits. The room was clean and comfortable, but the beds are rockhard (Morocco). The pool on the ground floor is not operational. The jacuzi on the rooftop is, but it's not heated.
Cons: The bathroom is seperated by the room by two half "french doors", which basically means - zero privacy. Cold jacuzi is not ideal.

Great location and good terrace. Left my AirPods there and they sent me a message right away so I was able to go back and pick them up :)
Cons: We had to wait 1h30 for someone to open the door, despite calling and sending several emails. Luckily, other guests let us in and we could wait inside. The person in charge was very relaxed about the payment even though we wanted to do it right away. When he came with the price (in a post-it), it was slightly higher than what we booked in the booking. We mentioned this to him, he seemed to agree, and said we could pay through booking. We were charged after leaving - through booking - and it was the same amount of the post it! It is not a big deal given the value but you can see that this is common practice through the several comments posted. I left my AirPods there so I had to go back to the Riad and wanted to take the chance to speak with the guy but he wasn’t around (he’s not very present). My shower had hairs in the wall, and the chairs in the terrace were a little stained. Breakfast was ok. We stayed in several riads in Marrakech, and I think this one is clearly overpriced. Hope you take this as constructive feedback!

The Riad location is really good, there are many things to do very close. The staff of the Riad were very nice people, the girls of the breakfast and also Soofien (person in charge of the Riad) he helped us always with everything. We is willing to help any time you want, even he took care of our luggage when we had a 3 days trip to the desert. And also is easy to get a different activities with a good price with him. 👍🏻
Cons: The pool looks bigger on the photo than it really is. One day he had not hot water on the bathroom, but he asked to Soofien(staff guy)and he tried to helped us.

The location was in Old medina and close to many attractions. Soufiane was very helpful and sort out everything for us. The decoration in the house was traditional and nice.
Cons: The toilet was open and it didn’t have a door ,the same for the shower. The other problem was the shower itself (although open) didn’t have any lights so was quiet dark inside so we couldn’t tell if it was actually fully clean or not. Breakfast was not anything special and very simple, we expected more.

It is utterly unacceptable that a staff member from the raid Turquoise sent 4 offensive messages to me on WhatsApp simply because I gave the establishment a low score due to my unpleasant experience. Here are the details explaining why I said the night staff to be rude: We requested hot water from the daytime staff lady, who informed us that we couldn't take the kettle to the room but could use it in the open kitchen (adjacent to the dining table). Upon our return, unable to locate any staff and after attempting to contact them, we used the kettle to boil water. Suddenly, a voice behind us exclaimed, "Why are you here? This is a private area." We clarified that we had permission from the daytime staff lady, and though he permitted us to proceed, he did not offer an apology. When we informed him of our early departure, he instructed us to come down at 8:10 for breakfast. However, upon reaching the ground floor, there was no staff. After about 5 minutes of searching, he emerged from a dark corner, spent 5 minutes in the kitchen, and then disappeared for about 10 minutes. Concerned about time, I went to the kitchen table to check for food or drinks without touching anything. Once again, he shouted at me. I explained that I wanted to ensure we had breakfast, and if not, we would leave. He impatiently instructed me to go to the dining table and wait. Following a very basic breakfast, we were already running late. He directed me to his office to pay the city tax. I complied and questioned the price discrepancy. Although we booked the room for £49, they charged me £50.33 + £1.38 (foreign exchange rate) = £51.71. He refused to explain and simply pressured me to make the payment.
Cons: water is not enough warm and there are cockroaches in the room.

Beautiful and spacious riad with good facilities and a very big room and roof terrace. Big, comfortable bed.
Cons: On the first morning the host simply didn’t turn up to provide breakfast at the agreed time of 8am. It was bizarre. I have never experienced this before. Also, the place was unmanned most of the time and no response to the phone when I called. He made up for it on the last morning with a decent breakfast, including fresh orange juice. No eggs or cheese or fruit provided.

Loved the location, down a quiet side street and a 2 minute walk from the small square, shops & cafes, money exchange & Palace Badia,10mins walk down the main street to the jema al fenna Square. The Riad was beautiful exactly as seen in the pictures, staff were friendly, breakfast was good served from 8am-10am daily, room was cleaned daily & very clean. We were given keys to the main door & our bedroom door on check in. Stayed in the turquoise room. Clean but basic facilities in bedroom, fine for our needs as out all day. Personally I would say 3 stars for the bedroom & 4 stars for the Riad, but I do have high expectations & also probably different judging a 4star hotel to an authentic Riad. My sister & her husband stayed elsewhere but loved this Riad over their Riad, I also visited their Riad & it was very basic, having said all this I would stay here again definitely. Ordered taxi through booking.com picked up in a 7 seater from the airport, clean ,nice driver ,he dropped us off in the local square and advised us to walk down the street & take a right, Riad was on our left,a little scary in the evening, 2mins walk & Riad was on our left exactly as described. On the return journey driver messaged on watsapp advising of pick up location, picture of his car & plate etc,he picked us up at the end of the street, immaculate car & safe journey back to Marakech airport-15mins. Abdul Saman & Soufiane who were managing were friendly & approachable. There was another couple staying & a day before our checkout a party of 5 or 6 people checked in. Outdoor space on upper level was great for relaxing with seating under a gazebo & for my husband smoking,we did not use the jacuzzi, a further level on roof top had sunbeds. I would definitely stay here again & recommend! Loved our stay ,4 nights in Riad Turquoise & overall loved Marakech.
Cons: The safe in the bedroom was broken/ not working, mentioned this but told yes not working. Nothing done about it. Therefore had to carry extra cash & passports all the time even when out & about as did not want to leave anything in bedroom just in case.

Located in a quiet little side street just a small distance away from the madness of Jemaa el Fna, it’s a beautiful and calm place to stay. The staff are incredibly kind and hard-working (Soufiane, he’s a king and the cleaning staff/breakfast crew are very sweet). The breakfast is so tasty. The rooftop terrace is a great place to relax and get some sunshine. Thank you to everyone who made our visit to Marrakech really great.
Cons: We liked everything. Although the rooms are one big room with little divided parts (shower and toilet not in a separate room). So if you’re not so comfortable using the toilet whilst someone is in the room, be aware of that.

This is the only way to enjoy a stay in Marrakech. The location is perfect. The staff and rooms are very nicely decorated, and a pleasure to come back to after a day out exploring, and meeting the extremely friendly locals. Breakfast is plentiful too. Loved the freshly squeezed orange juice especially. The outside seating and jacuzzi on the rooftop, is very relaxing place to kick back in the evenings. Most of all thanks to Soufian, who is always available, accommodating and extremely friendly to all of our family. We will definitely return to Riad Turquoise, and highly recommend to others too. Thanks.

Very fancy property with a traditional Moroccan feel. The staff were amazing and very accommodating - Samad welcomed us with tea and lots of recommendations, and Sofiane was kind enough to show us a non-tourist trap tea shop and wait with us until our taxi home came. Stayed there with a large group of friends (4 families, 7 kids aged 11 to 18) in an outstandingly hot (for Moroccan standards) August. Rooms were very comfortable and clean, with effective air conditioning. The Riad overall was quite cooler than the surrounding Medina, and the two pools (one Jacuzzi and one cool-water one) provided great relief at the end of a visiting day. Day service was first class. Sufyen, the Riad manager, was very attentive and supportive and procured all kind of tourist services (Italian speaking tourist guide, minibus trasferts and excursions, full-blown hammam).

The room was gorgeous and very romantically detailed. I forgot to ask where they got the shower gel. shampoo and body milk from b/c all of the smells and moisturizing qualities were amazing. It was close to parking around the corner which also led to the medina. About a 5 minute walk. It is located in a narrow alley way. so you may need to call host the first time to find it. Breakfast was delish. Very clean, Fresh smells and beautiful ambiance. Very friendly staff and Host.

Declining quality of service, since my first stay in Nov 22 - staff Sufien not informed about my arrival at 5pm, room clean, but no cushions for sleeping (only deco cushions) for the first night. First breakfast, 45min after service start, I had to ask for an orange jus and an egg, so staff went to the market to get missing food items. From then on improve of my stay. Ladies at the RIAD are superb, though. As is the location and the room, apart of tge two out of three broken bulbs in the (dark brown) bathroom (family suite). After posting a adequate detailed review on Booking.com I got a personal SMS from Sufien, who was obviously not happy about my comment and rating, he turned rude and insulting towards me as a person.

From the moment we arrived at the riad, the team led by Soufian wrapped us in attention, including a welcome tea, the suite we received on the 2nd floor (no elevator) was spacious and well-designed, the cleanliness stood out, we had a jacuzzi outside the room and a rooftop equipped for sunbathing and relaxing, overlooking other rooftops as is customary in Marrakesh. The breakfast was perfect, including fresh orange juice and a variety of breads and pastries. They allowed us to keep our luggage there after check-out until the flight time .. We will be happy to return to the Turquoise when we have the chance to go to Marrakesh again.

Location is excellent. lots of local attractions, amenities (grocery, mosque, shops, money exchange, restaurants, hammam etc). very convenient to walk to Jema el Fnaa square. Staff are friendly and keeps the place clean. if you really need a relaxed meal and light shopping, away from the hustle and bustle, please head to nearby Medina mall. I would highly recommend this mall for a family with kids.
Cons: If you are expecting „4-star“ level experience you will be disappointed. Inconsistent shower pressure and temperature, overall usability of the pools, missing umbrella for sun shade in patio, very subpar breakfast (same everyday), TV not working, very slow wi-fi in top floor are just a few of the items I would like to mention. The staff, however, is really friendly and housekeeping does excellent job of keeping rooms clean.

The Riad Turquoise was in a quiet street just off the square, which meant it was a calm oasis amongst the busyness of Marrakech. It was clean and tidy and the staff were always lovely and helpful. The main host made sure we had what we needed for a fantastic stay. He organised trips and advised on things to do and places to avoid. He couldn't have done more to ensure we had a successful visit to Marrakech. Would highly recommend the Riad Turquoise.

Totally enjoyed our stay. We were met at airport by shuttle driver arranged by Riad. When we got into town and to the point where shuttle driver couldn't drive closer to Riad, we were met by hotel staff for an escort to our Riad. Fresh mint tea was prepared for us while we filled in paperwork for check-in. The entire staff was so friendly & welcoming. If we needed anything, Saffian was there to fulfill our needs. Bubbly for a BD celebration? Check! High quality Saffron at non-inflated tourist prices to take home? Check! Saffian told us "Our home is your home" and every staff member lived up to that credo. We all enjoyed our oasis in the middle of the chaos of the Medina in Marrakech and would go back in a heartbeat.
Cons: Room lighting was very soft and romantic, but bathroom could use a bit brighter light to make it easier to shave. The only other thing I didn't like was having to finally leave. Could have hung out many more days at the Riad.

The place is beautiful and very well located inside the Medina. The staff is awesome and it really makes you feel in a tradicional riad rather than a hotel. The facilities are very good , almost impecable, close to a high end luxury hotel. Buuut , I have mixed feelings, would not recommend it for more than 3 days. I stayed 7 days and after the four day you would start missing the advantages of a proper hotel ( food options , heated pool , room service , bigger spaces to hang around ). The breakfast is really basic , you will feel tired after the third day. But overall, very good experience

I was first apprehensive about booking a riad instead of a hotel but I am really glad I booked the Riad, especially this one! Good location - right next to Badi Palace and only 10-15 minute walk away from Djemma el Fna. Right in the hustle and bustle of the Medina but it is off the main road so it is quiet. The room was clean and comfortable. I was a bit taken aback at the toilet not actially having a door but more of a wall. The breakfast was not what you would get in a hotel buffet breakfast. It mainly consisted of pancakes, morroccan parathas and bread with jams and butters and omelette upon request. It was delicious and filling nonetheless! Staff were very helpful and tried to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. I would like to particularly point out Soufiane who was the most friendly and lovely host - booking our excursions and taxis and waking up early for us on the days we would be out early! He really is an asset to the hotel! My husband loved the Riad. We would spend every evening after a long, hot day walking, dipping our feet in the pool. I would definitely stay at this Riad again. So much more calming and relaxing than a hotel.

Special thanks to my new friend Sofian....Marvelous host!! We stayed at 5 different Riads throughout our trip in Morocco and this was by far the best(10). Stayed two great night there and tried to book again on our last night in Marrakech after Sahara desert trip to Merzouga, but Riad Turquoise was full unfortunately. The Ryad location is perfect, walking distance to the market, the Menara mall and only 15 to 20 mn to the centre where you find trade store , cafes and restaurants. The staff ( khadija , Ilham and sophian) are very nice and attentive if you need anything just ask. The decor is what you expect from a Ryad style but it needs updating, they do really need a shower in the terrace to cool down when you are sunbathing as there is no pool just a small jacuzzi. Would I stay there again a big Yes.

The room was very small, no windows, dark, and the bathroom was not even private! It didn't even have a door so it was really uncomfortable to not have privacy even while in the bathroom. There is no reception/ check in, so that was confusing when we arrived. Furthermore, a staff member thought i had written a negative review while we were there (which i did not) and asked my husband to get me to change it. I wonder how many other reviews may have been changed due to the hotel staff asking guests to do so. Doesnt seem very honest to me, so I think it's important i be honest here. I would not stay here again. Both myself and my husband did not feel comfortable, and it is in no way a 4-star by western standards.

We recently stayed at the Riad for three nights. Great location to explore the main attractions of Marrakesh. Lovely staff! They made our stay here very enjoyable. Sufian and Anas also helped with the booking of our Sahara trip. Everything worked out well! I would highly recommend this place.

Finding this location took about an hour. We had no directions nor landmarks to go by and GPS directions are confused by the Medina. It would be helpful to note how close the nearest parking is located. The Riad is located close to the center of the Market square and is conveniently located and walking distance to most everything. Parking on the streets is provided by the "Gardiennes" which is unofficial but accepted. They will usually charge you between 5 and 20 dirham, depending on the length of your stay. We paid about 20 dirham for overnight. The Hotel staff were very helpful and attentive. The Riad is in need of attention. Both pools are cloudy and is in need of chemicals to balance their PH.. The door to our room was split in places where

We absolutely adored the Riad. The hosts were lovely, room and common spaces were gorgeous, and breakfast was great. Our only major issue was the wifi was terrible making it extremely difficult to stay in contact with those back home, go on trip advisor, or really do anything that takes internet.

Typical moroccan style house, privately own hotel well represents the heart of Old Marrakech - Medina. If you’re interested in authentic moroccan experience and great ambiance - you may choose this rustic hotel and nice people serving you. I liked it.

I honestly didn't know what to expect of a Riad, having never traveled to Morocco before. All I can say is I'd never bother going to any other Riad but the Turquoise when (not if) I return! I can't imagine a friendlier host than Soufiane- the reviews on here are accurate, he really is so welcoming and warm! The room (and Riad in general) was spotless, and breakfast was delicious. We also booked to be collected/dropped off at the airport, and on both occasions things ran completely smoothly and on time. As for the location of the Riad- there are plenty of small shops within a few steps to buy water or supplies, if needed. We were worried about getting lost but found our way to the souks and Jemaa el Fna on our first try- it's virtually a straight shot there from the Riad Turquoise.

This is a fantastic Riad and very conveniently located! We stayed here for a week and would highly recommend it. It’s very nice and clean. The staff are all extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. They arranged several excursions (camel riding, day trips, etc) for us and they were all very enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience!

It was great however the bathrooms do not have doors so if you are staying with another person, they have to leave the room unless you’re comfortable :) also the shower is handheld so it is a little inconvenient. otherwise, clean, good accomodations, friendly staff, good breakfast, wasy parking nearby, and close to everything!

Check in was smooth with staff waiting our arrival. Although breakfast is the same every day, there is plenty to fill you stomach. Roof sun patio was lovely to take a break in the afternoon. Hotel took care of ordering taxis/private taxi to the airport when required. Hotel also had the ability to book excursions for guests. Soufien was the main person that looked after us. One of our luggage was delayed by a day and he helped to arrange for a taxi to take us to/from airport the next day to pick up the suitcase. He was great with answering questions and helping us with all our needs. Thanks Soufien!

The staff here were the BEST!! Everyone made us feel so welcome, like family, and attended to everything we wanted or needed. Sofian in particular was just wonderful! Took care of everything we asked for and then some more! Room was beautiful! Bed a little firm but still okay. Would very much recommend this great place and the incredible people at the Riad Turquoise who made our first visit to Morocco so memorable!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things. The staff went above and beyond. They are friendly and so lovely. The accomodans were great. Sofian was such a wonderful help and even walked us to a local place to get food that was so delicious. The bed and shower were great. My mother and I were able to walk to everywhere and it was clean and never had any issues feeling safe. We even took an excursion from the hotel and the driver we had MR. ALi, i cannot remember his first name was nothing but helpful and wonderful.

The manager and the staff are awesome!! They took care of our every need and on the last day, we ate a home made tangine meal at the hotel. The hotel meal was UNBELIEVABLE! I ordered vegetarian, my mom had the lamb, and my 14 year old daughter had the chicken. My daughter complained about having to eat the meal but once it came to the table, she was quiet and ate the whole dish! We had a wonderful stay here. I only wish the bathrooms in the hotel room had a door (this is why I gave 4/5 for room comfort). Still, I would not hesitate to recommend this riad to a friend!

Nice enough but not sure why it had such rave reviews. Breakfast was very basic and although an abundance of fruit and delicacies locally the nearest we got was orange juice and 4 types of pancake/bread, none if which I'd care to eat again. Room lovely and kept very clean. Going out is an experience and you need to be quite tough skinned and be prepared to turn a blind eye or not get too distressed by the attitude towards and use of animals. The main square needs policing and some of the sellers can be very aggressive. Road signs would also help. Needs the Morrocan tourist board (possibly this doesn't exist) to really sort out everything. You'd think they despised you being there and would have spent much more if we felt safe and also could go out without worrying about getting lost and then hassled.

Riad Turquoise is very conveniently located inside Medina with easy access to Jemaa El - Fana by foot. Staff was very helpful but sign language was mostly required to communicate during the day as they only speak French or Arabic. Their care taker speak good enough English to guide you and arrange anything you need. No in-house restaurant but they can cook food from the menu in their Kitchen at very reasonable price. Tours and taxis arranged by the hotel was also very good but lot more expensive than what you can get from outside. There are plenty of options if you want to arrange a tour to any other place. Taxi to aiport from hotel costed us 10 Euros Taxi to Osaria water park costed us 5 Euros

Excellent staff, tradition at its best. It felt like i was at home away from home for 5 days. One of the day we decided to stay in and enjoy the hotel and didn't realise how the time flew and ordered for lunch at the last minute. Unlike other big hotels where once kitchen is closed its "CLOSED", Riad staff Ms Kadeeja offered to cook especially for us. We were totally touched by her gesture. Apart from excellent staff, the hotel is in the old city within walking distance to "bargain" markets, restaurants and other landmarks.

This was my first time in Marrakesh, and I was staying by myself for a few days to attend a wedding. I was very thankful to Soufiane who was very welcoming and came to greet me as I arrived! The room was a good size with a comfortable bed with more than enough pillows. The windows open out to the courtyard, but it took a day to discover the amazing roof garden, which is lovely at sunrise with the White Stalks nesting in the near distance. Delicious Msemen pancakes for breakfast with fresh orange juice was a great start to the day! From the Raid, it is a short walk to the Koutoubia Mosque landmark where you can easily get your bearings. I had a very pleasant stay and highly recommend it!

Got in after dark and the manager was out in the alley with a flashlight to guide us. It's in a good location, close to things you'll want to see, the market (bazaar) is a short distance away, and there are plenty of shopping and food options including a full service bar that is on the small square by the riad, the Kozy Bar. There's an upper level terrace that overlooks the square, good cocktails, and reasonable prices, this will gain significance after a few days in Morocco. The riad has nice features, a pool in the lobby, a relaxing den to compare notes with other guests, and a rooftop terrace with minimal views and a hot tub that was not operating during our stay. Breakfast seems to be the norm for Morocco; coffee/tea, juice, and two or three types of bread with various spreads.

We stayed 6 nights at the Riad during New Years in Marrakech. We are a family of 4 with two children ages 1 and six. The room was very spacious with a baby cot and a twin size roll away bed for the kids. There was plenty of room for the kids to run around and for us parents to relax after a busy day exploring Marrakech! The room was decorated beautifully, the entire Riad is beautiful, a traditional Riad. We opted to have breakfast each morning which was really good, plenty of fruits and different types of bread. The Ladies of the house warmed milk each morning for the baby which was very sweet of them:) We felt very safe and welcomed the entire time and most decimately come back to stay on our next visit to Marrakech! P.S. The hotel staff is Awesome both the morning crew and the night time manager!!! The location is perfect because you are a 5 minute walk from shops and taxis and about a 10 minute walk to the main square and the souks.

Very friendly staff, beautiful small Riad on the edge of the medina, 15 minutes stroll to the main square. Very peaceful to escape from the noise and chaos of the souks, enjoyed the sun terrace which got the sun until late afternoon. Chilly evenings and mornings meant the air con was needed on heat setting which warmed the room fine. We stayed in the fuschia suite up on the roof, very spacious and well worth the upgrade price. Pleasant breakfast of bread, jams, hot drinks, fresh orange juice, pancakes etc. Airport transfer dropped us in the Place ferblantier a couple of minutes walk away as the Riad entrance is down a narrow path with no cars. Enjoyed roof top terrace of kosybar serving local wines just round the corner in the square.

The Riad is gorgeous and will make you feel like you were a princess in a past life. The staff is wonderful and super helpful, especially Soufian, who showed me how to make Moroccan tea, which I couldn't get enough of. It's location is very close to the Jewish quarter where you can buy spices in the various souks. Also highly recommend the KosySpa in the adjacent square, I'm hooked on Hammams! Its about a 10-15 min walk through the souk paths to the main square, Jemma el-Fna, but I preferred The Mellah (Jewish Quarter) as it was less chaotic. Ask the hotel staff for costs of items before heading out to shop as the souls will try to charge tourist prices. You can't go wrong with your stay at Riad Turqouise.

Lovely Riad, comfortable. Very welcoming staff - will do anything for you. The phrase "my house is your house" was used and that is just what it was like! During the day the sound of water features and Morrocan music quietly in the background adding to the ambience and the calmness. Suite beautifully co-ordinated, complimentary toiletries lovely quality. Could get Morrocan wine in this Riad which is worth a try. Take the offer of the Riad organising airport transfers - cheaper than most other ways but very safe and reliable.

We spent 5 nights at Riad Turquoise. The Medina is very busy and smelly but interesting! There are not a huge amount of sites to see so 4 days is ample unless you take a day trip like we did. We had a fab day touring the 3 valleys with Hassan (arranged by the Riad),it made a great break from the city in the middle of our 5 days. Unfortunately one of the main sites Baadi Palace was closed for refurbishment which was a shame but we did pretty much the rest of what Marrakesh had to offer easily in our timescale to the extent that we had pretty much a full day at the Riad chilling and sunbathing one day. I struggled with the narrow lanes, smells and traffic (especially the mopeds/bikes) so we didn't venture too far into the Souks. The traffic in the Medina is crazy with a capital C - taxis, cars, buses, bikes, pushbikes, pedestrians all going in all directions almost to difficult to describe - we didn't see nay accidents but that was more by luck than judgement I'm sure. Taxis are the best way to get around and plentiful - always barter and don't pay more than 30 MAD inside the Medina and 50 if you go outside the Medina and also to the airport. Outside the Medina the new town is cleaner and smarter - some good places to eat in Gueliz. Majorelle Gardens definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely loved our room and the decor of hotel. The style is unique and added to the Moroccan holiday feel. The hotel staff Sufiyan was very friendly, very sweet and helpful. Always there with a big smile and made the most amazing breakfast. The first thing he said when we arrived was this is your home. A very warm welcome. We felt taken care of especially having close contact with the manager who was helpful and was happy to accommodate. We even had breakfast at 530am before our very early flight! We would go back and stay there. The rooms all have a theme so I would stay in a different themed room. There is also a rooftop which is perfect to relax in. A family feel and you feel like it's your own apartment.

Lovely Riad, excellent staff but needs a mini fridge. I went in summer and had to keep asking for water, would have preferred to be able to have this on hand in the room. Also the bathroom needs a door although I accept it may not be in keeping with the style I still think for some this would be a requirement. However apart from points mentioned I had a lovely stay.

George and the lovely staff at the Riad Turquoise were really friendly and helpful and nothing was to much trouble. The position of the Riad was great for us as not to close to the centre of old Marrakesh Madine but a good base to explore from and near the lovely Bahia Palce, Saadian Tombs and Royal Palace. From the moment we arrived to when we sadly had to leave our rooms and breakfast were all kept clean and made fresh each day.

I stayed for 2 nights at the Riad Turquoise with my sister, for a celebratory trip for our 50th birthdays. We received a warm welcome from Khadija who brought us traditional mint tea and cakes then explained about the Riad, where to eat out (with written directions). During our stay, she booked a camel ride excursion for us, took us to meet the tour bus, gave us advice about how much to pay for taxis etc etc. Sofiane was also delightful, he booked us a taxi back to the airport and gave us delicious breakfasts. Very good location. It was a shame that the manager Mr Georges was away, but we want to return with our families and will certainly go back to the Riad Turquoise.

Stepping through the door from the dust and bustle of the medina you enter into a calm and peaceful environment. Greeted by Georges and his wonderful staff with mint tea, we were able to relax after our journey. We'd booked a suite and were shown the fushia room which was large and beautifully furnished. Good wifi, lots of hot water, fluffy towels and robes, plentiful breakfast - all in all top notch. I emailed Georges beforehand to arrange collection from the airport (15 euros in a decent car with air con, well worth it) and the same man took us back at the end of our trip. Food- we arranged to eat on the first night in the riad (book in advance, 20 euros pp) We found great places to eat nearby, so no need to go too far afield at night. All in all a wonderful stay in a traditional environment - thank you

This is definitely one of Marrakech's hidden Riads. If coming from the airport, definitely arrange collection, else you might lose hours trying to find it. Once here, you are greeted by welcoming staff, a very helpful overnight 'man' who looks after you if you get back late and makes a wonderful omelette for breakfast. The rooms are comfortable - with decent shower and toiletries. A very pleasant place for a very pleasant stay. Handy for all the attractions in the Mellah area, including Palace El Badi which is literally over the back wall!

We had a wonderful stay at this Riad. The location is excellent, very close to lots of shopping, but very quiet inside. It had a total rebuild 8 years ago and has been maintained in this new condition by staff since. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They wanted to do our washing (one weeks worth) for nothing, but we insisted on paying. We ate in one night and the meal was delicious. They had good wine (most important).. I arrived in Marrakech unwell, and the manager organised an excellent clinic to go to, that got me back on my feet within 4 hours. We look forward to staying there again when in Marrekech. Walking tours of the local area & souks are available please be aware these people can & do liaise with others to sell to tourists bargaining is expected but don't hesitate to walk away, one trader was quite nasty when we decided not to buy & next stop we got a much better deal.

To look at from the outside, it is not much, but step through the door and that all changes. Lovely little Riad, in good location and really nice friendly staff. George speaks a reasonable amount of English, but if you have some French, that would be better. You wont find it easily. So I emailed ahead and asked them to arrange a taxi to collect me from the airport and deliver me to the door, which at 22:30 was a good idea, because I wouldn't have found it. Only charged me 15 Euro on the bill for that. Overall a nice relaxing stay. Don't be afraid to venture out, 30 seconds round the corner and you are at a main route through the south of the Medina to the central square (Jamaa El Fina), or take the other fork to the left at that junction to get to La Koutoubia. Oh, 20 mins from Airport, traffic depending.

As you approach the Bab Mullah roundabout you will wonder where on earth you've come however as the door to the Riad opens you step into a little piece of heaven . More than accommodating staff are keen to see to your every need . There was a slight language barrier but if you can remember a few key words in French you're fine . The staff gave us some suggestions on where to visit and also were happy to recommend places to eat although you can enjoy dinner in the Riad . The whole place is spotlessly clean and I'd happily return again.

Just returned from Marrakech after a 3 day stay with my wife and daughter. The Riad would be a little difficult to find on your own so contact the owner who will arrange transfers. This approach is also the moist cost effective as you will not be overcharged. We had a suite which was extremely spacious and very comfortable. The beds were a little hard for our liking but that is purely a personal issue. Breakfast wad served each morning to our convenience and whilst it was the same each morning, it was well prepared and very plentiful. The location is excellent within 10 minutes walk of the mnain square and close to some very good restaurants.

What a hidden little Gem! We absolutely loved it. Georges, Sofjan, and the rest of the team are so welcoming and helpful, it makes you feel like home. The riad is gorgeous and so was our room. Granted, it takes a bit to get used to the open bathroom :D And if you are a light sleeper you may hear other guests in the riad coming in or going out. But we had no problem with that. We really enjoyed it and were sad to leave. For consideration: 10 min to Jemaa al Fna, 5 min to Bahia Palace. They will organize a tour for you, or book you a guide. The price and tours are great - worth it!

I give this hotel top ratings across the board. It is a really great 6-room boutique hotel on a quiet alleyway in the medina a short walk from the main square and bazaar. George and his staff are OUTSTANDING. They are so friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is also so nice. We had an early morning hot air balloon ride scheduled and George surprised us with having breakfast ready at 5:30 am - we assumed we wouldn't get breakfast given the hour. While the other reviews are correct and the staff speaks limited English, do not let this stop you from staying there. The service and friendliness and hotel atmosphere more than make up for having to spend another minute or two on communications. The staff very willingly made us dinner, spa, activity and taxi reservations based on our requests. All were perfect. The hotel is VERY clean and decorated in beautiful Moroccan style. Hot tub and rooftop terrace and breakfast every morning complete the picture. Definitely recommend.

At first we were a little worried as it was our first time in Morocco and our taxi driver did not seem to be able to find the riad. We drove around for a long time and nobody he asked seemed to know where the address was. But after he borrowed a phone and we had him call the riad he got directions and Sophien, the hotel manager, was right there to meet us and helped us carry our luggage. As we headed down a narrow alley way we were again a bit nervous about what we'd find, but once we walked in the door it was beautiful and truly an oasis. I've never had better service than we got at this hotel. Sophien and the rest of the staff were willing to do whatever to help. He even got up at 4 a.m. the morning we left and made our breakfast so we could eat before our flight!!! He also gave us perfect recommendations for both our dinners that we were there (fancier for one night and just nearby w/good food the other--the food is amazing, by the way!) also making the reservations for us. It was very clean, has thick personal bathrobes in the bathrooms, and was a wonderful place to stay. And I am admittedly not that easy to please! Great value for the money for sure!

Stayed for a week in July. This place has a quiet, relaxed but welcoming atmosphere. We felt bad that our French is so poor - it meant that our conversations with George and his staff were somewhat limited! I'd recommend arranging a taxi pickup from the airport via the riad - it'd be very hard to find otherwise. Also, don't be put off by the appearance of surrounding streets, behind the door of this Riad is a nicely kept gem!

The Riad became our home away from home during our stay in Marrakech. The staff is so friendly and helpful - more so than any other hotel I have ever stayed in! Our room was beautiful with very welcome air conditioning and the breakfast was delicious. We took advantage of the cold pool and sunbathing area each day. We loved the location as well - it is literally around the corner from the Badi palace, 5 minutes away from the Saadian Tombs and Bahia palace, and 10 minutes from the main square. This is the only place we will stay when we visit Marrakech in the future!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and we found the staff/owners of the Riad to be extremely hospitable and accommodating. I would highly recommend a stay at Riad Torquiose.

Our visit to Marrakech was our first experience of the city, and the Riad was ideal for couples wanting a taste of Moroccan luxury. The staff were welcoming and could not have been more helpful. We stayed for three nights, and the calm and relaxing atmosphere of the Riad was a necessity after being in the hectic environment of the city.
