We stayed 4 nights at this Riad and it was one of the best Riad we stayed in Morocco. The style was very vintage with modern facilities and the location is great. It is just outside the Medina and close to a street so it is easy to catch Taxis or transfers without carrying or pushing your bags through the middle of the Medina. The staff were so friendly especially Othmne who served us breakfast. âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ from us

A charming, restored riad on the edge of the medina as its name implies. Easy access to Rue Talaa Kebira, which is a short walk through a parking lot. Easy taxi access too. We stayed in the Azur Suite, which was plenty big. There's a narrow, private balcony with a little table. The rooftop terrace is across the stairwell from the room too.
Cons: Breakfast was just ok: supermarket yogurt and pastries... except the olive oil was really good!

RIAD located on the edge of the Medina. It is a beautiful old building that had been renovated and maintains its historic charm. As a historic property, you need to be able to climb some uneven and narrow stairs to access the rooms, lighting is a bit dim and outlets are limited. Our room had TV, AC, good WiFi, was quite large, had a nice sofa to relax on and a beautiful view of the inner garden. Breakfast was included and the staff even packed us a to go breakfast the day we had to catch a ride well before breakfast hours.

It was my second time in this Riad. It is a beautiful and peaceful place, close to Medina. Perfect place to stay. Very nice and helpful staff. The rooms are big, beautiful and clean. The breakfast is very tasty. Maybe a little expensive, but it's worth spending the money. I can recommend it. If I will come third time to Fes, I will stay here again.

Our stay at this Riad was absolutely perfect! The hospitality of the young man and woman at the reception was outstanding. They were always attentive to our well-being and gave us fantastic tips to explore the city, which truly enhanced our experience. The location is excellent, allowing us to easily access key attractions while still being in a peaceful area. Our room was incredibly comfortable and quiet, providing the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The beauty of the Riad itself is breathtaking, with its stunning decor and serene atmosphere making it a truly magical place to stay. Highly recommended!

Exceptionally beautiful renovated riad! With a big orange tree and palm in the courtyard, intricate ornaments on every wooden surface, high ceilings on every level, and very spacious rooms. On the rooftop, you'll find sunbeds and a spectacular view over the medina and all the famous landmarks of Fez. A guarded parking is just 30 meters from the riad, and for a small fee, your luggage will be transported from the parking to the riad in a cart. One of the many entrances to the gigantic medina of Fez is just on the other side of the parking. We were traveling with motorbikes and were very happy with the whole setup. The breakfast was always delicious, and the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and available 24/7. It's definitely a place to mark, return, and recommend to friends and family!

The building itself was beautiful inside. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Roof-top patio had great views over the area. Location very good.; steps from the Medina and close to restaurants. Safe area a few meters from taxi drop-off.
Cons: Wi-fi occasionally dropped out for 10 to 20 seconds. NOTE: Contact them first if you have trouble with stairs. Most, but not all, rooms are accessed via a very narrow, steep, and spiraling staircase. As fit seniors we enjoyed the stairs; but others might find them a challenge..

I typically donât give reviews but am doing so as I relied heavily on them for my trip to Morroco. I had an amazing stay at this Riad. The hospitality from both Othmane and Hajar was exceptional. They truely went out of their way to make our stay in Fez even more special. We were two females travelling together and felt very safe. The Riad is very well located and is close to a parking lot so you do not need to walk very far from being dropped off by taxi. We also used this parking lot as a reference for us to get back to the Riad as the Medina is quite hectic to navigate. The breakfast was very good and changed every day. We stayed in the Andalouse room and were very comfortable. Big room and bathroom. I would definitely return to this Riad.

The riad is very well kept. Room was spacious and nicely decorated. Bathroom was big and confortable. Breakfast was plentiful. Extra bonus for providing gluten free option. The position is excellent, two minute walk from Talaa Kebira, yet very private and quiet. It felf very safe, also. Personnel is friendly and helpful.
Cons: We chose the suite on two levels, with an extra bedroom on the mezzanine, but the mattresses up there are really too hard. Please consider changing them. The main bed was ok, though.

Surprisingly we were the only people staying during our visit. Its a beautifully decorated riad with many original features. The room was just as pictured and described and very spacious with a large and comfortable bed and very large bathroom. The staff were amazing and Hajar was amazing with great restaurant recommendations, organizing a hammam, and details on how to navigate the medina. The riad is on a very quiet alley on the edge of the medina so easy to get to the main attractions with no transport needed. Breakfast was traditional Moroccan and plentiful. We really loved our stay. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay at Riad des Remparts de Fès. Both Hajar and Mohammed made sure we were comfortable and ensured that we had everything we needed. We also especially requested eggs during one of our breakfasts and Hajar made sure we got them the next day. Excellent hospitality, clean and a well maintained Riad. Most days it was just the two of us there so we got the whole space to ourselves. Also, located conveniently; a quick 5-7 minute walk from the main souks and the Blue Gate. One thing to be mindful of: due to old infrastructures, there are no elevators so if youâre in the top most room, thatâs 4 flights of stairs. Overall, highly recommend this Riad.

This was the first Riad that I visited in Morocco. My room was so beautiful. It was at the top, so it required climbing stairs. I was rewarded for the effort as my room had a private outdoor terrace. The hostess, Hajar, was very kind and helpful. She served a very nice breakfast, which I appreciated as visiting Fes involved a lot of walking! It is on a quiet street, and in a couple of minutes, I could be out of the Riad and into the medina. I definitely would like to return here someday!

The riad is beautifully built and attention to details. The host was very hospitable. There is vehicular access to the riad and it is within walking distance from the main street. Room and bathroom was nice and big. Good sized bed. Great location. Hajar was very kind
Cons: The breakfast was okay, you don't get much though. The handheld shower head was broken. There was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom that my Wife and I had noticed upon our arrival. The curtains were very dusty next to the bed, that I woke up feeling stuffy and congested. There was no remote to the TV or AC/Heater unit. To be honest I expected way more in terms of the accommodations and the breakfast. The riad was rated a 9 here on Booking and as a 4-Star hotel on Google. I didn't feeling those ratings were deserved based off my experience. The staff was great though. These types of issues fall on the owner.

The staff is welcoming and professional.
Cons: The transport that came to pick us up was not adapted to the number of passengers. Fortunately, it left us about 20 meters from the riad because the transportation of luggage is not included in the price. You have to carry it yourself. The access to the riad was in the middle of a construction zone. Although the room is large, the bathroom is very small. The WC stuck in front of the sink. The hygiene products are of poor quality. The bathrobe was missing. And there were not enough towels. No coffee or bottle of water in the room. You have to pay for it. The riad is typical and beautiful but access to the rooms is difficult: the staircase is very narrow with a low height. For the return trip, the transport does not drop you off at the airport drop-off point because there is no access to it but on the parking lot two hundred meters from the airport. Not at all practical with luggage. It is better to book a cab that will drop you off in front of the airport.

I stayed at the riad for 10days continuously. (16 December-26December). First time in Fez. Not first time in Morocco. I feel i have a good general experience of the riad's pulse. I experienced some of the underbelly of the city and not "running around completing a tick box exercise " The general atmosphere in the riad was calm. "There was no hidden agenda" or pushing one to do tours" Perhaps Haggar set the tone. Compliments to her leadership and calm communication skills. The riad is not situated in a busy alley or street. There was no shouting or loud talking outside. The riad attracts mature guests - not the backpacker type.! (nothing wrong with them-i wear a backpack -but without the mentality) Generally the riad is clean -the public spaces and my room was clean Good : Sleeping cushions was not too soft. Good :There was a heater available Sometimes the nights can get "cold". The young guy at the reception- Abduragman was pleasant, helpful and tried his best to assist. (I could not speak French and his English was limited). However we communicated well. I know everyone mentions Haggar's name. Yes she is helpful, courteous and professional. She knows the routine well. These can be improved : (this is not a criticism). I spoke to Haggar- about maybe to include an egg in my breakfast. Although i enjoyed breakfast -after 8days i needed say smthing different without the request being demanding. Below are- Examples : dried fruit or nuts An egg boiled etc Perhaps a boiled egg would have been a reasonable request. An improved taxi price from the riad There must be a more reasonable taxi price giong to the airport. The airport is not as far as imagined when i first arrived at night-Ryanair was delayed !!) I paid 250DAM one way 500DAM in total(i asked to be picked up at night on the 16December).
Cons: There is nothing negative. I have mention what can be improved above. However it must not be viewed as "i didn't like" Just as with ones work and personal life-there is always space for improvement and greater well-being

My husband and I stayed at Riad des Remparts for 5 nights. The service was great: very accommodating, friendly and professional. They always asked us how we were doing and if there was anything they could do for us. The location is also great-very close to the old Medina and only a short walk to where taxis park. The decorations and architecture are beautiful-very traditional. The breakfast included various freshly made/baked breads, olives, jams, cheese, fresh orange juice and good coffee. The roof top patio, which overlooks the medina, is large with several seating areas. The only issue is the step and narrow stair case to some rooms that could pose an issue for some guests. Super value for the money.

Hajar, manager of the Riad is a wonderful host, always smiling and does magic to ensure we have a memorable stay in Fez. She arranged a tour guide at our last minute resquest, and check we are happy with. Great breakfast, we were happy with the Azur room that is on the terrasse and gives view on the Medina and other parts of Fez. Roomy and large bathroom. No fridge or water boiler for coffee. Easy to find, car can access (great feature so you don't get lost in the medina with suitcases!). Overall good quality /price - highly recommended

Great location, room was what we expected. Breakfast was good! The woman that checked us in was great. Our only downside was that the front desk person in the evening telling us our choice for dinner was not that good. He recommended a different one and had someone take us there. There were 4 of us, and we left and did not eat there. I feel that it overpriced (220 durams for couscous/vegetarian)and no one was eating there). We had a better meal at another establishment.

The Riad itself was delightful and beautiful. After a few weeks of travel, I really liked that it was removed from the main MĂŠdina a bit (I needed the quiet). Service was questionable, though. I was woken up a few times by management just to see if I was in the room and even though they asked me for a specific breakfast time, they were not ready. When I was ready to check out, there was no one at the desk to help me. Had to wait a while.

This Riad is old and traditional and the staff were very friendly. But the after walking around our room with white socks on, it became clear that the tile floor in the room needed a good clean. Unfortunately there was no breakfast for us at 8am, even though the hotel info said reception would be manned 8am to 8pm. Also both myself and my husband gouged our arms on either an exposed wire or nail sticking out of the rope hand rails in the stairwell to the terrace.

L'albergo è in caratteristico stile marocchino dei riad anche se un po' decadente. Il personale è educato e disponibile. La colazione prende la sufficienza, ma non di piÚ. Buona posizione vicino alla medina e alla stazione dei bus

While the riad itself is fine - good staff, good breakfast, etc, it is simply just not worth the money. You can find much cheaper places in the medina for almost the same quality or above. One thing to note it that you may not want to show up too late - we had to let other guests in late at night (22h) since there was nobody at the desk and the guests were banging on the door for quite some time.

We had a a room on 3rd floor. The room was noisy because window facing a busy street and bathroom had a water on a floor. I believe in other rooms they donât have this problem. Overall hotel is nice and beautiful. The location is good.

The staff was very helpful and offered us early breakfast. Rooms were big and cozy but the Riad decorations are not as found in pictures. Few steps to Medina, Overall good value for money

RIad des Remparts de Fes is a charming riad not too far from a parking area near the edge of the old city. We had the suite on the top floor with great views of the city. For most of our stay we were the only couple staying there. The staff provided us with Moroccan tea every afternoon and carried it up to the 5th floor terrace. A word of warning about the stairs. Most of the stairs were pie shaped, narrow, and very steep. There is no elevator.

The riad is very nice - beautiful and comfortable rooms. Wonderful experience with the hammam and the massage. My only (small) complaint was that when I booked, it said that bottled water was free. This was not the case, and I ended up spending more than three times the amount on bottled water from the riad than I would have if I had purchased it anywhere else in the city. If the water is not free, it should not be listed as free in the description.

the hotel was close to the Medina and was in a quiet neighborhood. The staff answered questions about my room requests and quickly attended my requests if the tv needed to be adjusted. The one thing that was not favorable was that to view the tv was a flight of stairs needed to be climbed to the loft where the tv situated. the breakfast consisted of sweet rolls and bread and quite welcome was fresh orange juice daily

This hotel is beautiful and is located in the heart of Fes. Me and my wife loved the service and our room had a very traditional moroccan feel. The staff were very welcoming and even though they struggled with English they still helped us with everything. The hotel is in a very peaceful setting away from the noisy souks. The only negatives were that the shower water was not hot enough and bottles of water were priced very high.

The hotel staff was friendly, the blue room (azul) was worth the money, but the climb up the four flights to get to the room with luggage was not so fun. Once in the room there is plenty of space and it is very peaceful and relaxing getaway from the streets of people pestering you. The riad itself is worth staying at least three nights if you must go to Morocco. It is easy to find and close to all of the small shops and tourist attractions in fes.

One may have a little difficulty locating it, initially, but this Riad, owneby Mouna and Simon, is truly outstanding, in Meknes. Exceptionally done up by a tasteful Mouna, it is delightfully run, with warmth and care. There are rooms of different sizes and needs. Each well decorated in traditional style. Highly recommended. We enjoyed our single-night stay

Pros: - Good location. Right in front of the Medina, but in front of a parking lot, so you do not have to get lost in the small streets to find the place, especially at night - Room is big and confortable Cons: - Water pressure in the shower was not optimal - Staff barely spoke English or French, and did not make any efforts to help us throughout our stay (tours, questions). Especially troublesome considering we were the only guests at the time
