Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans ce Riad. Au bout de la première nuit, on nous a changé de chambre car l’humidité et une forte odeur de moisi persistaient dans la chambre malgré le chauffage et un déshumidificateur d’air. L’autre chambre était mieux mais l’humidité y était également présente. Je tiens à remercier la fille de la réception qui a tout fait pour résoudre ce problème. Elle était d’une gentillesse extrême. Très bon petit déjeuner. Belle vue de la mer sur la terrasse.

Cons: I chose the Riad because of the reviews. 9,2. But what a disappointment. The Riad is old, the furniture is run down. The smell is bad. It’s not very clean, I found hair on the floor and a big cockroach in the bathroom said hello to me in the morning. The terrace has ocean view but besides this nothing to offer. Old sunbeds. Not very welcoming. It’s way too expensive for what you get. Highly not recommended.

A lovely Riad located in the heart of the medina. We had an excellent room with great facilities and a superb sea view, The staff were really helpful with suggestions for restaurants and such like. The Riad has a small and very nice spa/hamman. We really enjoyed our stay as a base to exploring the city and local area. Breakfast on the sea view rooftop terrace was a pleasure.

Cons: I got sick that night and i am not sure if its because of food at a restaurant near by or was it maybe the glass water bottle what wasn't a sealed water bottle. was it tap water or bottled water in the room? i recommend serving only bottled water. i skip breakfast the next morning because i wasn't sure if id keep the food down.

This is a gorgeous riad in a great location. It is just a few blocks from the heart of the medina, yet it is very quiet. The view from the terrace is amazing. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay. Essaouira was our favorite place in the country.

Well located property close to the ramparts of the fort; the Place Moulay Hassan is just a 10 min walk along the ramparts. The interiors of the riad has been done up beautifully and has some rooms and suites. All are named after some gemstone. We stayed in the Topaz from whose windows we could glimpse the seawaters only when the tide was high. The room was quite spacious with super comfortable beds. The bathroom too was decent size with a bathtub instead of a bath area. The staff at the reception Ismail and Zainab were very helpful and friendly, the latter providing precise directions and map of the medina. The riad is at a distance from the medina walls and a porter would be needed to cart your bags from Bab Marrakech to the riad; Bab Doukala is closer but getting a porter from there may be difficult. Breakfast is pretty decent but the ocean views from there are excellent.
Cons: A tea/coffee kettle and a minibar would have been nice as the rooms have space for them.

We had a one night stay here. We knew we wanted to be on the ocean so this was a good option. We have a family of four so we had to get two rooms which made the price more expensive as there is no family room that fits four people. Our timing wasn’t great as they were doing work on the rooftop so it was not quiet and comfortable up there. The breakfast was very good.

Couple on their honeymoon here. So much to love about Riad D’Eau! Ishmael and Zineb at the reception are amazing! So helpful. The property is beautiful and directly on the ocean. Our suite faced the ocean. The rooftop has an amazing view of the ocean too. The breakfast on the rooftop was great. The location is right in the Medina (shops and food) but one block off of the main drag so quiet. Had great massages through the hotel. We highly recommend this accommodation for couples or families! So great!!

Lovely breakfast on rooftop with sea view. Great location. Very friendly helpful staff. Glass of wine for our last night, which was on the house! Good sized room. Nice little internal balcony to relax on. Room light and airy.
Cons: Not enough power points near the bed. We're not keen on toilet doors which aren't full size and don't close properly. A fridge would have been nice. Stepping over a small wall into the shower could be difficult, especially as there is no lighting in the actual shower.

1. The view from the terrace was beautiful of the ocean. 2. Receptionists lady was very pleasant and welcoming. 3. The actual interior of the internal public space of the Riad is well appointed, seems money has been spent here but less so other areas and especially the bedrooms.
Cons: 1. Level of humidity in Sapphire Ocean view room was so bad that our clothes were damp, as was the bed. 2. No choice of breakfast, you sit and are served what they have for you. Not good for people with allergies. 3. Overpriced. €355 for 2 nights. We went to a luxury hotel after here Le Jardin Des Douars (Essaouira) and paid €170/night for exceptional quality. 4. Old furniture, tired and in need of replacement. 5. Apart from the sea view the terrace is without any thrills. Old and tired looking. Very very basic. 6. Towels are old and fluffy and don’t dry you, in need of replacement. We were disappointed with our stay, especially after reading many of the glowing reviews. Sometimes it can be misleading as it was in this case.

Cons: The riad was a bit difficult to find - it is down a very narrow lane and more information on how to get there would be helpful. Taxis can't drive through the old town. We hired a man with a push-cart to transport our luggage and take us there. After much wandering, it became apparent that he didn't know where it was either! We got there in the end after instructions from locals. A very detailed map or a smart phone probably needed to find your way there.

Stunning riadh,, best location in the Medina, Seaview suites are idyllic, place is kept spotless, decent breakfasts, always someone on reception. The interior is beautifully decorated in the traditional style, the whole property is clearly a labour of love with great respect paid to the original design. Star of the show is Perle, the house cat who occupies this Palace like a princess among the hordes of street cats outside! Staff are very discreet, the room was cleaned daily (no pressure to leave your room, they find convenient times) when you're out) and new towels provided. Rooftop is a great location if you want to sunbathe in privacy, beach below the riad is beautiful and relatively easy to access (although I wouldn't advise swimming here- too rocky).
Cons: Only drawback would be the slow hot water supply and the slow drain on the bath and basin. We also had a power cut for one night when there was a heavy rain shower, never normally happens in February- problem resolved next morning. Also there's a no-child policy, which may sound harsh but afforded us a quiet and chilled out atmosphere in the riadh.

Wonderful stay at Riad Perle - it is tastefully decorated, very comfortable, and has a lovely team of staff (including Pearl the resident cat!). I travelled solo and felt totally safe and at ease with a generous bedroom and one of the best showers ever! It is located just down an alley off one of the main shopping walkways (oh - Sisterhood is excellent for a coffee and a mere 2 minutes away) so is very conveniently located. I didn’t have a room with a view (I knew this in advance) but had access to the roof terrace where I could sit and enjoy the incredible view & sun. A few minor tweaks would really elevate the experience - better hairdryers (mine broke and there wasn’t a spare), tea in reception given no kettles in the room, and I think the roof terrace could be upgraded in due course, but otherwise a really enjoyable stay and I would definitely recommended it.

This place was excellent! The room overlooking the ocean was large and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was served on the rooftop terrace and was decent (eggs, breads, fruit, coffee/tea etc). The location is quiet and just a short walk from the main walkway with all the shops. It’s just a few minutes walk from the gate at the edge of the Medina where the taxi drops you off. Watching the tide come in and the fishermen out on the rocks every morning was a highlight. The sunsets are incredible too!
Cons: The shower took awhile to get hot, which was fine, but I didn’t like wasting all the water waiting for it. They are experiencing a drought here after all. Other than that the place was one of my favorites on my whole trip of 6 weeks in Morocco.

The purity of air freshness and cleanliness is beyond and to a natural freshness. The Riad is clean and rooms are perfectly presented allows a natural feel of relaxation as to its location near the sea allows the mind to deflate. The care the receptionist gave was heart warming. Nothing is ever too much to ask. Thank you our first contact on arrival dear Zinab and the rest of receptionist team to the cleaners the breakfast 🍳 attendant and not to forget the Riad cat 🐈 Perl 🥰. I liked everything about it, from the staff to the accomodation. The Riad is right inside the medina, close to everything. 10/10 would definetely raccomand it. The terrace was literally a pearl.

It's a pleasure to work with the staff, especially Kariba, Zeina, Ismail, Ibrahim, In a friendly manner, they will make you feel as if you have known them for a long time.
Cons: As access is not close to the riad, you have to walk through the old city, which can be scary at night, and there are no signs on the way, so it is best to coordinate with them to facilitate the access.

Riad Perle D’eau exceeded our expectations and certainly offered us an amazing experience. We originally booked two superior rooms. My room was upgraded to a suite with sea view and our son, who was supposed to share a superior room with his sister, was offered an extra double room ( free of charge). The staff are very helpful and friendly with outstanding customer service. They were all attentive to our interests and needs and made us feel at home. A special thank you to Kabira, Ismail and Marwan. We loved the friendly cat Perle who was vaccinated and loved to play with us. The breakfast was freshly made. I would strongly recommend staying at this Riyad.

They served one of the best breakfasts we've had among the hotels we stayed at in Morocco. The rooftop view is breathtaking. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional service from the front desk staff, particularly Zineb. She greeted us warmly and provided excellent recommendations for nearby traditional Moroccan restaurants, which we tried and found delicious. Knowing we were interested in experiencing a hammam at a public bath, Zineb went above and beyond by accompanying us, as the staff there didn't speak English or French, and we would have struggled to find the entrance on our own. It was an unforgettable experience. Additionally, Zineb and her colleague treated us to a pot of delightful mint tea, making our stay at this lovely hotel even more memorable.

This hotel was a true gem. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly, all our questions answered and told “you are home.” The concierge/owner(?) even helped us find a driver to take us back to Marrakech at a reasonable price the next day! Our room was beautiful, with fantastic views of the ocean. We made the excellent decision to book a hammam treatment and massage at their spa. The prices were fair and the treatment fantastic. When we return to Essaouira this will definitely be where we stay!!!!!

Breakfast was delicious! All ingredients were "home made" (even the yoghurt on the first day) and it was more than plentiful! It is served on your table (not as a buffet). As there was a lot of wind on our two-day stay, we had breakfast inside the little room on the roof-top terrace. The terrace is certainly wonderful for breakfast a little later in the year: we stayed from 2nd to 4th March. The fruit was freshly cut to a small fruit salad, bread was toasted and other pastries ( neither salty nor sweet) were freshly made. You can also ask for eggs any style. Jam, honey and a special Moroccan argan oil-honey-almond paste mixture were delicious! The orange juice was freshly pressed and lovely, and Moroccan tea was also served. We enjoyed our healthy and delicious breakfasts. Our room was beautifully decorated: 1 comfortable double-bed, two lovely blue chairs with a round mosaïque table as "lounge", a beautiful old-style built-in cupboard including a safe (which unfortunately didn't open...), a Moroccan-style bathroom with lovely shower and body-lotion products and a "separate" toilette were perfect. The roof-top terrace was wonderful! A direct view onto the Atlantic Ocean, with sun-beds and tables and chairs. You can enjoy peaceful hours there, with just the sound of the ocean and the sea-gulls. The Riyad is very pretty: Moroccan lamps, precious carpets on the wall, and what impressed us most of all was the delicious dinner we enjoyed at the Riyad, made by the "manager-cook". Staff was wonderful! We also enjoyed a relaxing massage at the Riyad. Situated in the Medina, this Riyad is very well situated: calm but in the centre of all activities. We would return there any time! And recommend it to anyone who is looking for beauty, calm and wonderful staff at great prices. We also loved the "house-cat" Perle! Staff were wonderful! We felt totally at home!
Cons: The breakfast service was a little long on the second day, but not too much. The safe in the room didn't work but there is no problem with security in this lovely Riyad.

We honestly had the best time at Riad Perle d'Eau. From the minute we arrived we were so well looked after by Ismaail and the team at the Riad. They were all so kind and caring and extremely helpful. Special thanks to Zeneb who organised taxis, horse riding, quad biking etc for us and was just so lovely! The evening meal we had and all the breakfasts were delicious. The attention to detail - beautiful comfy beds, crisp cotton sheets, luxurious fluffy towels, gorgeous rooms all helped to make our stay extra special. We had a hammam and massage in the Spa which was fabulous and such a treat! And we really loved Pearl, the Riad's cat - she was very cute and friendly. The location is perfect - we had a room overlooking the beach and it was fabulous to hear the waves when you opened the window. It's a nice walk around the Medina and onto the larger beach. We loved Essaouira - very relaxed vibe and lovely people. Couldn't recommend Riad Perle d'Eau enough - you'll love it! Thanks to all there for making our stay so fantastic.

The riad is located on the old fortress/city walls right on the Atlantic Ocean. Highly recommend taking an oceanside room. The view from these rooms is fantastic. Breakfast was served on the rooftop terrace, which also has an ocean view. We traveled through Morocco for 22 days, staying in 14 different riads and kasbahs. We both agreed that Essaouira was our favorite city.

The terrace roof, where breakfast is served, is a great beach viewpoint (as well as some of the rooms). Speaking of breakfast, lovely moroccan pancakes and a freshly squeezed orange juice amongst other treats. Also the building is conveniently located inside the medina with attractions a short walk distance from it. And the inside of the building is amazing! The breakfasts were lovely. I enjoyed the terrace. My room was perfect. I was especially grateful to be on the sea. My friends stayed at a Riad deeper in the Medina and they struggled every night with smoke from burning trash. So I felt so happy to have the cool seabreeze. The staff were also very kind and accommodating.
Cons: I was a little disappointed that during a six night stay, I never got fresh sheets. The reason I know this is because there was a stain on my sheet and every day when I pulled back the top cover, same stain, same sheet. I think it might be nice to change guest’s sheets every few days… also, my first night was a very warm evening, and I was uncomfortable in my room. I went downstairs to ask for a fan, but the whole place was deserted. i recall the staff telling me when I checked in that I was the only one staying in the Riad that night. When I couldn’t find any staff members for assistance, I felt like I was there all alone, and that was a little creepy.

This hotel was arguably our favourite accommodation on our entire trip (even though it was not the most expensive or most luxurious one we stayed at). It captures the essence of Essaouria just SOOOO well! The style, the charm, the hospitality, the ocean and THE VIEW!!!! The room we had was just so incredibly charming! The building is literally on the walls of the city and nothing else between the beach and the window of the room. Crashing sound of the waves and the salty smells of the oceans are right next to you. The room itself was very spacious, bathroom was fantastic, and loved the extra furnishings. The sunsets from this place are just sooooo stunning too! The memories a cigarette on the rooftop terrace under a dark starry night with the waves crashing below will stay with me for a very long time. My wife will instead remember the lovely breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the ocean in the morning (see photos). Ismail did a phenomenal job attending to our needs! I can honestly say that I wouldn't stay anywhere else on my next trip to Essaouria!

The reception area is very impressive. Riad well placed in the Medina although perhaps a bigger sign on the door to help find it.
Cons: My only big complaint was the shower in my room. It really wasn't up to the job. It wasn't powerful enough to wash my hair and on the last day water stopped completely mid shower. I had to wash the soap off my body in the hand basin. Small complaints , No bathrobe in the room, Also the two sunloungers on the roof looked tired and very uninviting, no cushions , no towels etc

Location in the Medina was up a small narrow lane which is fairly typical but just a very short walk from the main medina lane. Staff were friendly and helpful. We has a massage in a purpose facility which was nice and also saved going elsewhere. New terrace gives excellent view of the bay and sea directly below. Rooms were spacious and freshly refurbished.
Cons: In February it gets really cold at night and they really aren't geared up for cold weather. Heating in the room, indeed the whole place was inadequate. Fortunately breakfast was in an enclosed lounge/dining area.

Great view from the rooftop.
Cons: Unfortunately we had to move rooms twice. Firstly, because there was an electrical noise from a fuse box in the cupboard. This wasn't an issue until the manager informed me 'the owner is aware of this'. I was surprised that we were put in a room with a known, un-resolved issue. Our second move was slightly more troubling. One evening at approximately 8PM, we heard a cracking noise from the ground. We left the room and informed the night porter. With the night porter we inspected the room and found large cracks and bulging of the tiled floor. This was obviously very troubling. The manager offered us a suite, which we gladly accepted. When moving our belongings into the suite, the night porter informed us that 'this room is worth twice what you have paid' which was in very poor taste. Ufortunatley from this point on, we were largely ignored. For the following 4 days, no one apologised or asked us how we were. When the owner returned over the weekend, he walked past us at breakfast and made not attempt to check in. We almost felt he was giving us the cold shoulder. This incident, and the staff's reaction, left a really poor taste in our mouths and we will not be returning.

Cons: I am not certain whether they can do this, but at dark the streeet lights to access the Riad are very low.

We loved everything at Riad Perle D'Eau. It's is centrally located yet quiet, it's beautifully decorated and the rooms are lovely. We had our breakfast on the rooftop facing the ocean. It was all perfect.

The views from the suite and rooftop were awesome- highly recommend upgrading to a suite.
Cons: The riad is actually in the medina so if you are driving you will have to park outside in the paid parking area and if you have luggage you will need to hire one of the guys with carts to transport it to the riad for 20 MAD. You will not find the riad in the maze of streets and alleys of the medina without help. We advice to call ahead and have them send someone to meet you at one of the medina entrances.
