I liked the location. And it's cheap as compared to other places in rabat medina. The hospitality of Abdul Khaliq was none other than marvelous. He is very gentle, down to earth and always there for any help. You can Google translate Arabic to any other language to communicate with him. Breakfast was extraordinary with 3 different choices and great coffee. The tiles and traditional Moroccan mosaic in rooms and floors are thing to mesmerise you. View from roof is splendid. There is great collection of plants and comfy Majlis.

Cons: It wasn't mentioned in description, the residence is about 100 meters from main road and taxi can't go in this street. If you have heavy luggage, be careful. Secondly, there are stairs for rooms in upper floors. Ground floor rooms are big and expensive. Bathroom condition wasn't that great. But fine for couple of days stay.

Best and most beautiful riad we've been to, plus the spacious bedroom and fabulous bathroom were hugely appreciated. The host went way beyond the line of duty when our hired car had a problem, he made many calls to the hiring company on our behalf and ultimately sorted it out for us.

Cons: Everything was great. Just one point to note : the riad is in an interesting medina which was very atmospheric and gorgeous but it does mean that parking was a short distance away.

The place is beautiful and clean and the room is big. The private bathroom is fully functional and we had no issues. The breakfast is perfect, and the hosts are nice! I've heard that Salé is not a good place to stay but honestly it's not true, there's a fair bit of walk to Rabat but you can take a taxi, a bus or a tramway. You can even pay locals to cross the river on a small boat.

Cons: Unfortunately I just couldn't sleep all night because the street it's located in is very noisy. People passing by on scooters and screaming in the streets made it very difficult to fall asleep. The street lights can be seen from the room.

Very tastefully done old riad. Beautifully Moroccan. Air conditioning made a huge difference. Breakfast was simple but tasty. The staff is the greatest asset of this business. They were all friendly and helpful. Ashcraf speaks great English and made the whole booking process seamless. Can’t speak highly enough of him.

Cons: The location is in the heart of Sale Medina. It’s not far from the tram, which takes you into the medina of Rabat in 10-15 min, (it’s also a walkable distance, just under an hour). However, the area is quite dirty and ran down. Basically, you have to walk through smelly streets full of rubbish to get out of the medina, which in itself is nothing too special and didn’t feel super safe. The riad itself is an old building. Though this adds to the character, it could be better maintained. The sealant around the units in the bathroom was mouldy, and the bath didn’t have curtains, so the whole bathroom got very wet every time we took a shower. The room wasn’t as clean as in other riads we stayed in (we found a cockroach in the bathroom). Only two towels were provided, even though we were a family of three (this was the same in every place we stayed in Morocco). One day one of the towels went missing and we think the staff took it away and forgot to replace it, so one of us ended up using a hand towel for the shower. Our room was in the ground floor, facing the central communal area. As such it was very noisy with people playing music and chatting until late. Rooms on the first and second floor are possibly quieter.

Propreté très mauvaise, plusieurs cafards trouvés. Beaucoup d'humidité, odeur prenante. Le ménage est clairement pas fait . Nous avons pris de nuit et avons fuit dès la première, nous avons demandé un remboursement pour au moins la deuxième nuit au vu les circonstances dangereux pour notre santé mais cela a même été refusé. Bref , aller y seulement si vous aimez vous faire du mal Courage au monsieur de l'accueil

Your standard price on Booking.com for two rooms per night is 60 eur. We paid 80 eur + additional 600 MAD for two rooms two nights. Please reimburse us 20 EUR. This is without a tourist tax, that we already paid, 32 eur for two days, two adults and two children. The initial room we booked and the reason we came is falsely advertised. No bidet or hairdryer No fridge No balcony, city view or patio, which is said to be in the large 4 person room In short, not only that we did not get what was advertised, and due to your fault we took more expensive option in your riad, which we would not have taken in the first place, we were overcharged compared to your official pricing on Booking.com I will add that beds are short, I am 1.85 m and my legs were sticking out. So far shortest beds in Morocco. Also what i have seen no rooms in your dar had refrigerator or balcony, and most of them had no outside windows at all. Advertisement says balcony in all rooms. Please be kind to let me know your proposal for compensation and reimbursement for charging us more than advertised.

Had a great time at this property. Nice air conditioned room and we particularly enjoyed sitting on the rooftop terrace in the evening watching the sun go down. Very attentive staff and nice Moroccan breakfast every morning. The hotel was near Sale beach and it wasn’t too far to all the taxis or public transport links.

Cons: Nothing really. Was quite a bit of outside street noise late into the night but added to the authentic charm and we were too tired to care.

J'ai payé des chambres à 350, 400, 500 dhs la nuit qui étaient d'une qualité incomparable Les shampooings dans la salle de bain (sachet à 50ct chez l'épicier), les serviettes de mauvaise qualité, l'absence de rideau dans une vieille baignoire, plusieurs ampoules qui ne fonctionnent pas ... la liste est longue Le pompon ? Un petit déjeuner qui est loin de ce que faisons au Maroc A quand un contrôle des autorités pour reclasser et obliger à avoir un prix en accord avec la "qualité" ?

In the middle of the Medina sits Riad Baddi. Behind secure gates you enter a traditional moroccan setting. The architecture and the decor almost take you back as this is how it must have been for decades. A welcoming cup of tea and home made biscuits was a treat. Aschaf and his team made everything as easy as possible. The facilities are basic but perfectly adequate. Considering the price it exceeded our expectations. Once again breakfast was simple fare but home made, delicious and more than sufficient. We really enjoyed our stay and much prefer to go traditional than up market hotels which you find in every city of the world.

Cons: Nothing really. Maybe could have done with two chairs in the sitting area of the room.

Le calme, le confort, le côté authentique, les tableaux et la décoration typiquement marocain, la disposition de Yassine et de Loubna qui ont été des hôtes parfaits d'une gentillesse incroyable, ils expliquent bien les choses. 駐車場はなく、案内された路上に無料で車を止めたが、そこからそれほど遠くないところで、アクセスは良かった。旧市街は、危険な感じはなかった。宿は厳重に鍵を閉めているので、安心できた。ラバトへのアクセスも良かった。２部屋のうち、内側の部屋は静かだった。

Cons: 通りに面した部屋は、夜、バイクや鶏の音でうるさかった。シャワーの温水は数分待たないとなかなか出ない。事前の案内は、車、鉄道などの交通手段別に丁寧な情報をもらったが、情報の整理が良くなくて少しわかりにくかった。そのため、夕食の予約は2時間前までというような重要な情報がなかったり、埋もれていたりした。

Cons: La description de la suite n'était pas du tout à la hauteur de ce qui nous a été loué! Rien n'était présent, mis à part 2 lits et une salle de bain privée. Aucune cuisine, frigo, four à cuisson, spa, sauna, lave-vaisselle et autres. De plus, dans la 2e chambre louée, le système de chauffage ne fonctionnait pas et un des 3 lits était souillé.

Le personnel était agréable et à l'écoute. Merci encore à ACHRAF et à YASSINE qui se sont rendus très serviables. Le riad est mal placé et non accessible en voiture. Je vous déconseille également de sortir le soir tard seul. La chambre était propre mais mal équipée et le mobilier était vieillot. Il n'y a que les parties communes qui sont bien entretenues. Le petit déjeuner était correct sans plus. Par conséquent, je le conseille pour un séjour très court ou pour des raisons de proximités à l'aéroport car mauvais rapport qualité/prix

Het ontbijt was prima, het voldeed. Het personeel was alleraardigst. Alhoewel de dienstdoende medewerker niet goed engels sprak, zorgde hij ervoor dat er op afstand iemand ons hielp bij onze vragen. Ook ging hij mee om een goede plek voor onze auto uit te zoeken en leidde hij ons naar een net restaurantje.

Я рекомендую рыбный ресторан, который находится в 3 минутах от Баб Шаффа в сторону моря. Расстояние до пляжа 20 минут. До трамвайной линии 20 минут, можно доехать на такси за 5 дирхам. Полное ощущение безопасности.

Cons: Slightly moldy smell throughout the Riad. The host helped me find a guarded parking spot in a nearby street and instructed me to pay the guard 10 dirham at departure. When we checked out the next day the host had changed his mind and said I should pay him instead for the parking and he would set it straight with the guard. So I did give him my last change. Of course the guard had not heard of this arrangement so I had to pay the guard as well. It was his lucky day because I had no small change left. It was no big deal financially, but it ruined the whole experience a bit for me to feel cheated by the host that I trusted.

Een mooie riad midden in de Medina. Ruime kamer met badkamer. De lijst met faciliteiten komt niet overeen met de werkelijkheid. Wij hadden een Deluxe kamer waarbij beschreven stond dat er een bubbelbad zou zijn en tal van andere faciliteiten. Dit klopt niet! De prijs vonden wij dan ook wat te hoog voor datgene wat we kregen. Wel hadden we een hele rustige nacht. Wij zaten niet aan de straatkant, dat scheelt. Het ontbijt was erg lekker. Ook de gastheer en -vrouw waren erg vriendelijk.

Cons: Hetgene er op de lijst met faciliteiten staat klopt niet. Ook is de douche aan vervanging toe.

- l'hospitalité du personnel - le fait de pouvoir accéder à la cuisine - la literie - la terrasse - l'ambiance intérieur au riad: chaude (par ses couleurs, ses décorations), délicate

Cons: - Le bruit de la rue trop présent dans la chambre et jusque tard dans la soirée. La moitié des chambres donnent dans la ruelle, celle-ci est accaparée par des jeunes qui sont très bruyants, voir tumultueux (jet de pétards ou d'autres choses inflammables). Circulation ++ de mobilettes également. Cela nuit à la tranquilité du riad. Une fois au soir le gardien nous a même dû nous accompagner dans la rue afin de rejoindre le taxi sereinement! C'est VRAIMENT dommage. - Le sauna ne fonctionnait pas. J'en étais prévenu mais c'était tout de même car il n'y 'avait aucune raison matérielle à cela, aucun travaux n'y était entrepris.

Cons: La chambre au rdc pour 4pers: porte et fenêtres donnant sur le lieu commun du restaurant (pas terrible pour l’intimité), pas de fenêtre donc pas d’aération , une grande pièce qui sent le renfermé et l’humidité, équipements et finitions vieillottes voir vétustes. Hormis les draps propres, des couvertures fines anciennes type militaire pas très fraîches pour les lits simples et une vieille couette plate de recup. pour le lit double. Des moucherons qui perturbent le sommeil déjà difficile à trouver dans un endroit pas très sains. Le petit déjeuner est raisonnable pour le prix de la chambre qui je trouve est exorbitant à comparer aux prix des chambres d’hôtes d’établissements de haut standing.

Very nice stay at Riad Baadi. Had to leave a little earlier than planned but really enjoyed staying in this beautiful house. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very courteous and tolerated my terrible French.

Cons: Would have preferred to have been on the first floor. The bathroom was basic but everything worked fine if you're patient and run the water first until it gets hot.

La suite es grande, tiene una pequeña sala y una bañera (no es hidromasaje). El desayuno es abundante. Muy fácil de encontrar. Hay una madrassa espectacular muy cerca. El tranvia o el barco a Rabat quedan relativamente cerca. Es muy seguro, están pendientes de ti, una noche que no había cenado y no les había encargado la cena, me ofrecieron te y galletas gratis.

Cons: Estuve con lluvia y Ramadan, asi que no fue una buena decisión por eso, pero ellos no tienen la culpa. Creo que se disfrutará más con mejor tiempo.

Sam riad jest bardzo ciekawie urządzony, wymaga jednak pewnego odświeżenia. Obsługa była OK, ale bez rewelacji. Śniadanie smaczne i treściwe, bardzo dobra kawa. Pokój spory, łóżko wygodne i stylowe. W miarę szybki i stabilny internet. Ładny widok z tarasu.

Cons: Łazienka zdecydowanie do poprawy - brak zasłony prysznicowej, przez co po kąpieli woda jest w całej łazience. Spłuczka w toalecie też czasami żyje swoim życiem. Powyrywane uchwyty, gniazdka wystające ze ścian, zużyte (ale czyste) ręczniki, brak gałki do przełączania kranu wanna/słuchawka prysznicowa. Drobne rzeczy, które trzeba poprawić. Do tego brak wentylacji. Do tego w opisie pokoju miała być sauna i kilka innych rzeczy, a tego brakowało. W tej cenie nie ma co się spodziewać fajerwerków, ale dobrze byłoby nie wprowadzać gości w błąd.

La belleza del riad y su tranquilidad. Destacar el trato fantástico trato del personal, muy cercanos, responsivos, atentos, súper cariñosos, flexibles, colaborativos y detallistas. Lo mejor de la estancia son ellos, la buena gente que trabaja allí, junto a la tranquilidad del lugar. Agua caliente de inmediato, buen Wi-Fi, y limpieza general.

Cons: Lo que no fue tan bueno son pequeños detalles, sin demasiada importancia. Quizá no el mejor papel higiénico. Quizás la tasa turística impuesta por Rabat me pareció excesiva, al superar con creces los estándares en España (un extra de 4€ por noche/persona)

The staff were very helpful and kind. The building was lovely and nicely decorated. There was a big rooftop terrace to enjoy. The breakfast was excellent. Make sure you ask for a room not on the main street of the medina.

Cons: The single beds were extremely hard. Even my travel companion, who is more tolerant of hard beds was in pain after 4 nights. Perhaps the double beds are better. Our room faced onto the medina Street, and there was a constant stream of motorcycles throughout the night. We had to keep the windows closed because of the noise, despite our air conditioning not working. The staff offered to move us to another room, but it was very dark and there were no opening windows so we stayed in our room. The staff explained the noise was due to the medina, however, we stayed in riads in Tangier, Chefchauen, and Fes before Sale and never experienced the noise level here. The location is residential with only a couple of grocery stores and a couple of places to eat within walking distance.

The riad is absolutely beautiful with it's interiors. Had a beautiful view of the medina Salé. But for us the most important thing was the overall experience we had. Our host was really kind and sweet. One of the nicest people we met in Morocco and the Medina in Salé is relatively unexplored by tourists, making it a very authentic experience for us. People were extremely nice and honest, not something you get to see in Fes or Marrakech. They treated us with respect and like guests not like a naive walking bank. 100% going back here just for the hospitality of this riad and the city

Location is great, maybe 100 meters inside the Medina walls. If you come by car there is a plenty of free street parking just outside the walls. The double bed was quite comfortable so it was a good nightžs sleep. The location is perfect to explore Medina but also close to the Sale main station. Bus 22 runs from Rabat's Bab Chellah bus terminal all the way to the gate of the Sale Medina - Bab Chaafa. It costs 5 dirhams for a very comfortable A/C ride. Should you go to the airport, there are Pettit Taxis just outside the Medina gate. You can ask them to turn on the meter or negotiate the price. Our taxi driver asked for 50 dirhams, which is more than when metered but it was ok for us.

Cons: Bathroom floor is tiles-only and can be tricky to exit the bathtub. Some towels there would be helpful.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Da wir auf einer längeren Fahrradtour sind, müssen wir zeitweise unsere Wäsche waschen lassen. Das ging sehr unkompliziert im Riad. Am nächsten Tag war alles fertig, zu einem günstigen Preis. Überhaupt stimmt das Preis Leistung Verhältnis. Die Zimmer sind geräumig. Das Viertel in dem das Riad liegt, wird gerade saniert (2023 März). Sale liegt gegenüber von Rabat. Bis zur nächsten Tramhaltestelle sind es 10 Minuten. Für 6 dh kommt man zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Cons: Just a tip for foreign visitors: the taxi drivers at the nearest medina gate try to charge you 10 times the actual rate when you want to go to Rabat center. Walk a bit further from the gate and catch a white taxi, if you are alone, have them start the meter, if it is shared agree on the price before leaving. The rate is 10MDH max per person.

I was a bit to early there, but we take the time for the check in and Wahid (sorry when it‘s written wrong) show me the Riad. The place and also the room was very clean and you feel very Welcome. Typical Morrocan breakfast with tea of coffee, served with love from the nice woman 😌 Don‘t forget that this is an old House,so the shower in the room are not new but there was warm water and it was also clean! Amo il Marocco e la Medina di Salè è lo specchio di quella umanità viva, spontanea, mai artificiosa...Amo i colori di quei mercati poco turistici ma decisamete pittoreschi...Amo scambiare un sorriso ed un cenno di saluto con quella gente e scoprire che vale molto più di mille souvenirs. Ritornare al Riad Baddi e trovarlo notevolmente migliorato ed ancora più accogliente è stata una gioia indicibile. La mia camera è stata bellissima, pulita, comoda e degna di una pricipessa; la colazione buonissima ed abbondante, ed il personale disponibilissimo e sempre cordiale (grazie Nabil e Safae per aver reso speciale la mia breve vacanza!).Ottimo il rapporto qualità/prezzo. We had a great stay in Riad Dar Baddi. The Riad was clean and spacious and had a great view from the roof terrace. It is located in a quiet street in Salé in an area which feels very safe. Nabil was a helpful host and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay including a lovely large breakfast. We were given tips on Rabat and using the tram and even taken on a tour of the Rabat Medina which was an unexpected treat. Everyone was very welcoming and provided an enjoyable stay, we would highly recommend staying at Riad Dar Baddi.

I stayed at the riad for 2 weeks to attend a language school program and found the staff helpful and welcoming, especially Loubna (?), M’hamid and Hinde. The Riad has minimal kitchen facilities (breakfast only) and charges for tea (really!!??), but felt safe and cozy. It’s certainly not luxury and WiFi was spotty, but there were some 500 channels on the Satellite TV (if only the staff knew how to access them I would have been able to take advantage.). Staying in Sale is a great alternative to Rabat if you want a taste of the local scene.

After arriving my friend and I were grateful that the Riad offered dinner. Order right away because it takes a while to cook. One of the appetizers was rolled and cut msemen with cheese. So yummy! They were also able to give us an extra room. I'm pretty sure they didn't make us pay full price for the second room. How nice! It was pretty empty during the middle of March. My room was on the second floor and was very quiet. I did miss having a shower curtain. Breakfast was simple and pleasant. The wifi connection was good, but I did get kicked of for a few minutes.

Don't stay unless you speak fluent French. This was a "night before the plane leaves" riad. Foremost, I can't speak French or Arabic and the manager did not speak any English. 1. We couldn't get on the internet. - couldn't communicate with management - after an hour and a half and numerous trips up and down to the 3rd floor, we were given a new passcode. It did not work. We gave up. We couldn't check in for our flight. 2. The heater in our room did not work. - couldn't communicate. They finally got it running. 3. We booked a room with 2 beds. we had 3 singles and could not move around the room. They weren't very comfortable. 4. We were on the 3rd floor with lots of luggage that had to be lugged down at 5:00 am. 5. Dinner, which had to be ordered in advance, was the second worst meal we had in Morocco. 6. We were told we had to pay for the meal in Euros. IN MOROCCO? they wouldn't take Dirhams? I paid in Dirhams, had the manager scan them and sign the copy. 7. I've never had a problem when not speaking someone's language. I can get the 'idea' of simple things that I'm talking about with hand signals, for the most part - providing the other party is trying also. Not here. It was obvious, very early on, that I did not understand any French. But the manager kept speaking to me in rapid French - no pointing at what she was talking about and no attempt to get her point across. 8. Our room faced the 'alley' and my husband was woken up by loud arguing in the alley. This is a 'shady' location. We'd not have ventured out at night even if we'd had the time.

I have seen 3 stars in reviews. It doesn't deserve even 2. There were not hot water in the shower. After telling in reception, we had a tap with cold water and another one with "scarcely less cold water". The receptionist was polite, but useless. There weren't any kind of information or advice about visiting Rabat. And the hotel is in the Medina of Salé, difficult to get there, even scary, at night time. When we left, we ask for some help in reception to order a taxi to avoid to be scammed. No way. We were scammed again with the help of the receptionist.

Decorated with real art of excellent choice, immaculately clean and kept in perfect order, thia riad is a delght to visit. I stayed for a week and on the last day I still discovered bits of beauty in this place, The breakfast is simple Moroccan but of good quality and one time I had an excellent Tajine dinner (has to be ordered a day in advance). The service was perfect, hospitality great, my room was small but very nice, especially for the very low price that was charged. Wifi was good enough quality to be able to skype home with video. I will definitely come back to this Ryad!

je suis arrivé à 22h le lendemain du jour prévu. La personne présente sur place n'à fait aucun commentaire, comme dans certains établissements. La chambre que j'avais réservée n'était pas libre, il m'à donner une chambre double pour la premiere nuit, il à procédé à mon enregistrement, de manière rapide, et j'ai pu tout de suite accéder à ma chambre. je suis arrivé avec beaucoup de bagages, il a tenu à porter lui même mes valises jusque dans ma chambre à l'étage!!! Le lendemain, il m'a donné la chambre que j'avais réservée. je suis resté un bon mois, et tout au long de mon séjour qui c'est très bien passé, tous le personnel, c'est toujours montré très sympa et serviable, à toujours été gentil, discret et professionnel !!! Pour ce qui est de la propreté des lieux, la qualité du service, les équipements, la sécurité des lieux et le rapport qualité/prix, j'ai envie de mettre une note d'appréciation de 8/10 Quant à l'emplacement, tout le monde ne connait pas, donc parfois un peu difficile à trouver. Personnellement, je le recommande vivement!!!

The Riad is in approx 2 miles away from the Sale station. So, if you are visiting Rabat everyday, you need to spend at least 40 minutes on public transport, let alone the expenses. It's a nice, decent place to stay, staffs are helpful, with the usual amenities at your disposal. However, considering its location, I certainly think it's overpriced..

One bad experience can leave a bad taste and we had the wrong start to begin with. We booked 2 nights through booking.com. When we arrived at Rabat, we decided to stay for one night as we drove through Rabat. Booking.com let us cancel the reservation but not change the date so when we arrived, we asked the manager (front desk) there if we can only stay for 1 night. He said no problem. The same night he came to us and said he won't be there the next morning and demanded we pay him that night. We asked if we can pay with credit card and of course it didn't work (We found this to be true in many other riads we stayed in Morocco) So we got our cash together to pay him but he didn't have change. With disappointment, he said we could pay the next morning. Alas, he came back to us in the morning and told us to pay extra 11 Euros because booking.com charged him for two nights reservation. Overall, we settled without extra payments but really left us with bad experience. About the Hotel: 1. clean rooms and roomy overall but felt little enclosed with sketchy street views from the room. 2. Breakfast was decent but was ruined after he came to us with extra charges. 3. Location... well... most restaurants are in Rabat and there aren't really much to see around the hotel. We arrived late and went out to Rabat with the help of a electrician who was fixing their wires. They told us we can come back with the tram but tram stopped running after 11pm. So to come back, we had to take grand taxi because petit taxi won't come to Sale. We ended up paying 100 MAD for taxi ride otherwise we had no way coming back. Most taxi drivers turned us away and the driver who took us without any dealing had hard time finding this hotel without our google map. 4. Internet only works in the Lobby

The only down side was where the hotel was located, which was in a very narrow walkway with build nabouring buildings vertu ally on top of you as you enter and exit the hotel. The sounding area/nabourhood was quite run down but the locals were very friendly.

Fantastic service with breakfast offered on the roof terrace at at the early morning warmth at 9 am. Large room very comfortable, member of staff accompanied me to the supermarket as upon arrival I was ripped of by a serious of taxi drivers. The Riad is only 10.8km (6miles) from the airport. Hopeing to save some cash, I took the airport bus into the centre of town was was then pointed to a taxi rank. The driver drove me around the town for 20 minutes then stopped and demanded that I pay him 40 dirham! And I was no where near my hotel!!! I then asked a Moroccan police officer for help, (all this happening after midnight and I was so so tired after my flight), he stopped a taxi driver who was in full Muslim garb, the cop told him where I wanted to go and said it would cost me 3 Euros. After another ten minutes he stopped to pick up another couple by the side of the road, five minutes after that he passed me onto yet ANOTHER taxi and did not want the 3 Euro that he originally asked for, but 30 Dirham instead! I landed at Rabat airport at 22.40 by this time it is 00.55 and yet a third taxi and I am no where near my hotel and by this time losing the will to live!! I gave the third taxi driver the telephone number of the hotel manager, and despite 3 calls between them the driver still took me around in circles. For a airport to hotel journey that the airport information told me that should cost no more than 120 Dirham, I was robbed to the tune of 370 Dirham. The taxi drivers are out and out thieves! Beware they drop you off in the middle of nowhere that you want to be and sometimes in unsafe parts of town. The hotel or Riad was very comfortable but very difficult to find unless you have local knowledge. I did not find anything at all remotely interesting In Rabat, and left with a feeling of having wasted quite a lot of money The taxi drivers are nothing short of criminal so beware. After driving for around ten minutes, the driver stopped and picked up another couple who were standing at the side of the road.

The hotel was not only beautiful but very clean and comfortable, the staff cannot do enough for you in helpfulness. Hassan the weekend caretaker, personally travelled with me to go to a Carrfoure supermarket as arriving the previous evening at the airport I was ripped of not once, but FOUR times by Rabat taxi drivers who drove me around and around the city before passing me on to the next taxi, this was repeated FOUR times despite me giving them the riad phone number and they speaking to the raid manager for directions in their NATIVE language! Nice hotel but fiendishly difficult to find upon arrival and the taxi drivers are nothing short of criminal! A 10 km journey took 3 hours and 10 minutes!!

It was a nightmare! No AC ! Wifi not working I wanted to leave as soon as I got there but guess what no taxis available was forced to stay had no choice ! Staff could not speak English and when complained wanted to kick me out in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere I'm very disappointed more with hotels.com for advertising it without checking it

The hotel was ok but location was hard to find . The staff where helpful but English not so good. We went out late but staff member didn't ask or tell us that you shouldn't come too late in the morning because staff member works almost 24 hrs and had to wake to open door 2am he wasnt happy .

It is just 10" walking from Sale train Staition. From there You can take train or Tam to Rabat. The weather was not to cold but the do not have heater! 10" from the Medina You have a Marina with very nice café and Restaurats.

We had this nice riad middle of Sale Medina for two nights. 10 minute walk from tram and as it's quite middle of medina, it was quite hard to find. Riad was very nice and good value for the money, but the area is probably least touristic place we visited. Service was almost too good. Asked in late evening, if there is a hammam close by that is still open => we got guided late night tour to local hammam that is open 24/7. Tried to find something eat at midnight when we arrived => got guided tour to local fast food places :)

Like many people, arrived after a long 24 hours of travel. Room had no towels, no soap and it could really use a good scouring around the tub and walls. I gave it a 4 because the owner was so nice and so helpful, otherwise it would be a solid "3".

Difficult to find, taxi driver dropped me off at a salon and his 'friend' walked me to the hotel door expecting 15 euros for the privilege. I tipped in 5 dirhams to his disgust. The Riad is really nicely decorated and renovated, a really interesting place to stay. The room was small and had a terrible vie of grotty roof tops. Boys playing on the roof top had direct sight into the room. There was a bit of mould on the ceiling in the shower but at a budget price overall the facilities with decent bed and en suit were adequate for one night. Breakfast was a simple Moroccan affair with no meat involved. Served by the cleaner/dogs body/goffer who was extremely polite and attentive. Since I was off to the airport the that morning I left all my coins with the used breakfast plates as a tip since she was just the sort of lass that deserves a little extra thanks. Wi-Fi was very good, and the small TV had hundreds of channels to trawl through to get a taste. The big, big problem with this nice little place was the smell of cat pee everywhere. It was a bit much and seemed to not be from strays wandering in. The cleaner can't compete with that - bless her.

After a long train journey we were tired and hungry. We had already notified the riad by e mail of what time we would arrive and a very lovely 3 course meal was piping hot and ready for us- served by the helpful javad. The surroundings were very beautiful and authentically Moroccan . Our rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was nice and filling. Internet reception was great downstairs and in upstairs seating area although weaker in our rooms. Both javad and Hannane were very helpful in giving us directions. Hannane your written directions to the sights in rabat were excellent. Thank you for a lovely stay . We even got to see the main sites in salè- the mosque and lovely old madressa.

Unlike most hotels in the Rabat area, Riad Baddi is in the Sale medina, so it's a bit tougher to find and far away from the polished neighborhoods and wide avenues (which can be a plus or negative, depending on your view). Inside, it's in great condition with very nice design, well-kept rooms, and helpful staff. It's small (just 6 rooms), so it will have a home-like feel.

It was kind of impossible to find the hotel, although its close to old city but the narrow roads to the hotel were very dirty and smelling bad. we were asked at the night of arrival "by the only staff of the hotel" what time we need breakfast but the next morning no breakfast, in addition, we felt like we were jailed in a nice old house like ghost house. if you like to go there then visit for 1 hour to see old nice Moroccan art but not as hotel to stay overnight..

I stayed for one night because I had to catch a plane from the rabat/sale airport at 7am and I'd been staying in Fez previously. The staff gave me tea and some snacks upon arrival, brought my bags up to my room, and arranged a taxi ride to the airport before 5am the next morning. Jawad, the overnight doorman/deskman made me a wonderful breakfast at 4:30 when I woke up and was really friendly. The staff spoke mostly French and Arabic, which could be difficult if you only speak English.

A comfortable riad with lots of character inside the medina of Sale. About a 10 minute walk to Sale train station and tram stop for trips into Rabat. A quieter and possibly cheaper alternative to staying in central Rabat which can be reached in 15 minutes by tram.

Once you find the place and after a 5 to 7 minutes walk in a labirynth you may find this hidden riad. The location is clean and the people are welcoming and provide with good service. However it's noisy at night, people speak loud, prayer around 5 a.m. and is shared through a speaker finally you'll deal witha rooster who think that morning start at 3 a.m. Even though the price is good you'll find better for the amount or less.

Staying in hotels can be boried and I tried this Riad. It's easy to find and located in the Medina, the old part of the city. The owner is nice, will helping you and offered immediately (like in many places) a cup of tea. We could also taking evening dinner - what we did - but nothing was asked about what we wanted and it took 2 hours (!!) to prepair a couscous. It was good prepared, but more because I was at that time (+/- 21h, after 2 hours waiting) really hungry than I really like couscous. Breakfast is included in the price and also o.k.; if you don't want to eat locally, go to a Western hotel, but I tried it and accepted what they offered. Rooms are o.k., even we asked 2 seperated beds and they offered a double bed, but brought later a single bed and even with the 3 beds in the room, it was still big enough to walk. An interessent sight of the city can be seen from the roof, where you can sit so long you want. It's really a nice adress and if they where quicker to serve the dinner (or just say that it would take 2 hours), then I think the place had to be nominated as excellent.

I arrived at 18h, left at 5h30 the next morning for an early flight. The riad is inside the Salé medina but close to the main bab so not hard to find. My room was quiet, had a window overlooking an (ugly) backyard. I did not use the shower but had a hamman on site for 200 dirhams for 1 hour. The single bed was comfortable. There was a TV I did not turn on. The train station Salé-Ville (not Rabat-Ville) is a 15 min. walk away, or 6 dirhams petit taxi ride. New trams run past the train station. I used the tram to see a little of Rabat, mainly the University area. 6 dirhams fare. The hotel arranged for a grand taxi for the airport for 150 dirhams (there seems to be no other way but the grands taxis) and provided an early breakfast of freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, bread, butter, jam, olives and a Moroccan crepe.

The riad is Moroccan owned and run, so slightly different in style and approach to the foreign owned places, but none the worse for that. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, which is good as it isn't particularly easy to find - though no where in a medina ever is. The Google maps pin was accurate, unusually. Room was cheap, large, comfortable and clean.

"Hanbal" room where I stayed has no view. Then again who needs the view, the view is to get out of the room and explore... What can I say, it's a gem... 100% Moroccan style... Very clean! From the airport I paid 250DH right to the Medina's entrance. From there it's quite straight forward as you walk up straight you can see the Riad signage...
